Reviews:
I would rate this product really high for all of its features but it I have two real complaints. The biggest drawback is the difficult programming. I am using this unit to control a lighting console that requires 'note on' midi signals. If you are using it for a guitar rig that uses 'program changes' it will probably work for you without so much hassle. I am a very tech savy guy and this thing came close to being sent back. It comes with NO instruction manual. You must download it off the internet. That being said, the manual was clear as mud. After several days of agony (I'd think I had it figured out, but it wouldn't work) I finally found the answer on a forum on the internet. Yes…you have to hit the Note button TWICE!! Once to illuminate, the second time to flash..then 'Enter'. Now it works for me. If only the manual had thoroughly explained this! Many people seem to give up and program it with thier computer (with a midi set up of course). The second complaint I have is the FCB1010's enormous size. This thing is massive. When playing guitar I am not a pedal user and I am not use to having anything on the floor except a tiny channel switch. Having to drag this thing around to run the lights doesn't thrill me…but until I can afford a lighting guy, this will have to do. One of the few footswitches that will do all three types of midi signals. Lots of features enabling it to handle simple to very complex rigs. Haven't had it long but it seems to be built pretty robust (as much as can be with todays products being made with so much plastic). The body is metal, the pedals are plastic. The unit is very large and heavy for a footswitch. There are only two pedals I can find that will send midi note signals. This unit costs half of what the other did so I guess it makes it an OK value. Getting through the programming is the hardest part.
I'm surprised there aren't more boards like this, but thankfully it does everything I need 🙂 The manual is a joke but there are plenty of great online guides, videos, and even third party software to help program it. You'll need to learn about the different types of MIDI signals, and you'll probably need to change the settings for if to be useful for your particular software. This can be daunting: but the great thing is that every foot switch can be programmed to send up to ten MIDI signals at once (including two CC settings for the two expression pedals). So even though there are two exp pedals: there's kinda 200! (10 switches and 10 banks). The switches all default to "program change" MIDI signals, which I found pretty unuseful, but they can all be changed to CC signals (eg 0/127 toggle or any value you like, on any CC# you like) or even "note" signals if you want to say control a synth bass line as you play!opium32
THIS IS MY FIRST "MIDI" CONTROLLER OTHER THAN FOOT CONTROLLERS THAT COME WITH UNITS. I WAS UNSURE HOW IT WOULD WORK BECAUSE IT WAS NOT MADE BY THE PROCESSOR UNIT I HAD. BEHRENGER MAKES EXCELLENT PRODUCTS AND THIS IS NO EXCEPTION. HEAVY DUTY CHASIS AND SWITCHES ARE JUST THE OBVIOUS WHEN I OPENED THE BOX. I'M USING IT WITH AN AVID ELEVEN RACK BECAUSE THE AVID FOOT CONTROLLER WAS $400 OPPOSED TO THE $100 FOR THE BEHRENGER UNIT. IT DOES EVERYTHING I NEED IT TO DO AND MORE. IT CONTROLS EVERY PATCH CHANGE I CREATED AND EVEN THE PARAMETERS IN THE PATCHES SO I CAN CHANGE THE TONES INSIDE OF EACH ONE. I HAVEN'T EVEN SCRATCHED THE SURFACE OF WHAT THIS UNIT IS CAPABLE OF YET. THE EXPRESSION PEDALS FEEL AND WORK GREAT UNDER FOOT AND REDUCE THE NUMBER OF UNITS ON THE FLOOR. THEY'RE NOT AS GOOD AS SOME STAND ALONE WAHS OR VOLUME CONTROLS BUT ARE GOOD ENOUGH FOR MOST GIGS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE UNIT FROM A FINACIAL AND PLAYERS VIEW.rusty7227
2. Jackson Audio Bloom V2 Midi Pedal – Black
Product Details:
This is an amazing pedal. if you need a compressor this pedal has 6 different compressor settings that can all be controlled via midi. the blend control is super useful for dialing in exactly how much of the compressed signal you want. the eq is a 3 band eq with bass, middle, and treble. this is a great tool to use to shape your tone. i used it for when i ran a rig with two guitars so that i never lost any frequencies that i wanted that another guitar may not have had a enough of. the boost or bloom as jackson audio calls it starts at unity gain and goes up from the tiniest boost all the way to a what ll make some amps sound like it had its drive turned to 12. overall a very dynamic and useful pedal.i also have the original box included.
Specifications:
Reviews:
It is the cornerstone of my rig!TK
I have tried a LOT of compressors over the years, never kept any of them (as a solo boost) I can dial in the perfect amount of compression without killing the dynamics of the amp along with a mid boost and slight treble roll off to make my amp sing! I run the gain on the amp about 3 for "clean" and use the Bloom boost with just a little bit of bump to get into fat crunch and then the comp plus eq for solos. All controlled via MIDI Transparent, doesn't jack with my tone. I borrowed a friend's Synergy Syn 1 with the DS module for a week with the intention of buying one.. no more.Charles
Overall: This optical compressor, EQ, and boost pedal is an all around work horse. The optical compression is really smooth and subtle, which I prefer! The presets are nice to dial in different types and they can be tweaked via MIDI if you're looking for that level of tweakability. I found myself setting it the country mode and really only tweaking the blend knob to control the overall sound of the comp. I like that I can keep as much dry signal as I want to retain some of the dynamic while really pushing the compressed frequencies. The boost is a standard clean boost that adds nice clarity and sparkle. Then you have a three band EQ that adds extra flexibility. All three effects can be turned on and off independently of each other and their is a "bloom" mode with the boost where it will swell in if you press and hold. That's a nice little trick but I don't think I'll use it too much since the boost is almost always on. I use this as a table setter for the rest of my rig now. Great choice for anyone looking for studio quality optical compression!Adam

Reviews:
I've been playing professionally since 1972 – starting with organ and electric piano. Always liked using pedals on organ, but became problem when I got rid of the full organ. Had a one octave Multivox set which they no longer make. Had Elka DMP 18 for about 25 years – also, no longer made. These have proven to be a pretty good alternative after the Elka started going. I own 3 sets of the 17 key version which are no longer made – these are a little lighter construction than the Elka pedals but have been more than adequate for more than 4 years. I have them hooked up to Novation Bass Station or A-station and do most of the selections for octaves, sound from the modules rather than the pedals. Overall I've been very satisfied with these pedals – I'm sure the 13 key versions are similar quality.RCK
I bought this mainly because I only needed it for my organ rig. All the others are so expensive but its because they're loaded with advanced features an organ player doesn't need. The only thing I have to do is select the midi channel I want it to transmit on, and I'm all set. 2 things that would make this pedalboard better would be a power switch and the ability to remember the changes you made before turning it off. But it takes like 10 seconds to select the transmit midi channel. Overall I really like this pedalboard. Just don't go throwing it off any balcony's and I think you'll be okay.Hammondman-SEnIv
4. Rocktron Midi Mate Control Pedal
Product Details:
The rocktron midi mate midi control pedal is one of the guitar world’s most commonly used midi foot controllers the midi mate has been designed with one concept in mind: allow the performing musician complete and easy control over their midi equipment. the midi mate is an intelligent controller allowing you to send up to six preset changes on six different channels and five control changes while controlling one realtime parameter via a volume pedal all at once. unlike other foot controllers that send one midi command on one channel, the midi mate lets you take full advantage of your midi gear in programming and most importantly, on stage. a large seven character led screen displays song titles while preset leds show which preset is recalled. this sturdy, compact unit houses eeproms for memory storage so presets will never be lost. the midi mate also features a 7-pin midi connector, allowing phantom power to be used with a 7-pin midi cable, avoiding extra adaptor cables on stage. the midi mate is the preferred choice for countless professionals. after many years on the road, the midi mate has been proven the most reliable, problem-free foot controller on the market. rocktron's midi mate has three modes of operation mode one is the bank mode and allows the user to step through 128 presets in groups of ten. mode two is the instant mode which allows the user to select preset 01 through 99 with only two foot taps. this makes it easy to jump from a lower bank to a high bank with a minimum of scrolling. for example, you can jump from preset 20 to preset 86 instantly without scrolling from bank 2 to 8. mode three is the controller mode which allows the user to program buttons 5 to 9 (top row) to access on/off controller assignments (not presets) while buttons 0 to 4 (bottom row) access presets. this allows presets to be recalled and modified (turn off/on chorus or delay, for example) without the need to switch modes.

I have a Clavinova with excellent organ sounds and I was needing a pedalboard to practice the pedal parts of organ music. This was just what I needed. The first pedal board unfortunately had a squeaky pedal and the board was returned and a replacement sent to me without delay. The replacement pedal is perfect.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Specifications:
Weight | 7.7 lb |
Reviews:
Overall: So I bought the Pacer to use with Ableton and out of the box it’s the equivalent of a door stop (just being honest). I did email Nektar before I made my purchase (awesome company) and knew I had some programming ahead. I watched a couple videos on You Tube, prior to its arrival, which made programming the pacer pretty straight forward. Nektar makes fantastic gear, but the included documentation is garbage. Leverage the web and Nektar’s tech support (great), Nektar’s gear is worth the time and effort.Cliff
The Pacer truly an amazing midi controller. I use it for handsfree looping with my RC505 with ease! Live looping and switching between multiple instruments can prove to be very challenging at timesm. The Pacer allows me to transition smoothly and start right on the beat. Unlike other midi pedals I've purchased in the past, I don't feel limited with the Pacer. Lastly, I love the construction of the pedal itself. It feels incredibly durable! Its built like a tank. If youre in the market for a midi foot controller, the Nektar is the best option hands down.BRANDON

Reviews:
As a 62 year old musician I'm not into technology and the X5 did not come with the updated version i.e no Tuner etc. It took me quite some time to figure out how to download the latest version and I found it extremely difficult to try and solve the issue. The on-line instructions make it so easy and yet when I followed them to the letter I could not get it to load. Finally I managed to load it…how I still don't know! Having said this the X5 is a great piece of kit. It's tidied up my pedal board and I'm having great fun. Its a quality product….Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
I recently broke down my kit just to simplify everything in an ampless/recording/playing/streaming setup that works incredibly well for all those things. The Plethora offers an All I Need in One Unit – almost. I've put a compressor/Boost and the Broadcaster AP in front of it, and looped everything and out of a Simplifier. Modulation sounds, specifically Delays and Reverbs are my Jam, and the Plethora delivers. Having as many as I need on tap is where we're going here, and the options with Toneprint are vast. Then we can tweak. There's also plenty of scope to experiment and look for inspiration, so in all it looks to be a great value proposition for most. I think that TC Electronic realised that most people are going to have a favourite Overdrive pedal, so the omission of any digital replica is actually welcomed from me. (Seriously – you've gotta try the Broadcaster!) It was between this and a Helix Stomp XL. In the end I figured I could live without the amp sims, and I prefer the user interface and less menu diving with the XL. They sound the same to me. There's always room for improvement somewhere. Another loop might have been good, and the looper function is perhaps lacking in full functionality for some, but it's enough to keep you ticking over. Not much to complain about though, especially when you consider that buying pretty much ANY boutique 2 or 3 switch pedal is going to cost you £300, it's a bit of a no-brainerReviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Great piece of kit with masses of options and available sounds – potential to replace a fair few pedals in my collection – plus giving me more sounds that I wouldn't use often enough to warrant buying a specific pedal. Can setup boards for specific songs and/or different band or jam scenarios. Future firmware drops hold potential for additional features so the future looks good – for no additional cost! Editing sounds live as per regular stomp boxes is easy if that's your preference so all bases are covered. Looks and feels pretty robust so making a guess that it will last well.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Had this on want list for awhile. Bought it new when I saw a price break of 17% on MF. Software & plugins misadvertised by IK multimedia. They make it sound like you get all the iOS and OS X plugins and amplitube included with the pedal. Well some you do as freebie hook and bait and others you have to buy. They do give you Amplitube 4 Deluxe which is good, (4)-T-Racks processors, Mic Room, Ableton Live 9 Lite (Mac/PC), Amplitube Acoustic, VocalLive and Mic Room for iOS .I already previously bought Amplitube Max for OS X and most of the iPad amps & stomp effects apps for iOS. Previously using iRig HD as interface into iPad Pro 12.9 1st Gen. This pedal allows you to control amp and stomp effects for live performances and studio using stomp mode and LIVE settings and to scroll between user saved settings and favorites. I am constantly tweaking my user settings. I mount iPad on separate stand with an extension cable not included, so I can control some settings with my fingers. tips and tricks. I like how IK Multimedia approaches tone through modeling Amplifiers very quality sounding industry top of the line manufacturers. Tuner is good. I figured out by accident by placing finger and holding on volume knobs on amps using ASSIGN CONTROL to assign a selected parameter to pedal or external controller. You can save this to your settings and the parameters you select are highlighted in faint yellow color. I was wanting to see a volume pedal and this satisfied my desire. Having to have an iPad or Computer is not cheap to use with this pedal, but top of the line stuff here IMHO. IK Multimedia is an Italian company and product. I would say this falls into the Ferrari category of effects and control pedals.JamnJohnny
I have been playing guitar for a long time. I was certified by the Recording Workshop in Ohio, for studio recording (though I am an amateur). I will admit, I already owned an iPhone 8s, and had already purchased a few of the amp models in the app to use with iRig HD, which I feel is important, because if this product is to be used with iOS, it comes with a very limited set of amps. On PC/Mac it has much wider utility out of the box. However, this product is great. The tones I have been getting are fantastic, I can emulate famous tones I hear on records, pretty much on the fly, the presets are not great, but the recording is, imo, high quality and sound really good. I have not used this on an iPhone 7, and have heard there are issues, but on PC and my iPhone 8s, it has worked great. Because I liked this so much, I splurged and bought a new iPad, and upgraded the software to the MAX version, and I really love, it. I have had the stomp for about a month and a half, and bought the iPad 12 days ago, I will be returning it and getting more storage, because I have already created so much new content from the ease of use, I am worried I'll fill up the smaller capacity at only 32gb. The only real negative I have experienced, has been: if I have the app running on my iOS device, and unplug and the stomp from my device, and then reconnect the stomp, it will not work. I have to stop the app, reconnect the stomp and restart the app. It's annoying but no big deal, as I don't have to unplug it very often in the middle of using it, but enough that I noticed the issue.Nel
First of all, I paid $200 for the floor pedal that controls my amp, and that’s all it does, but this for $300 for me wasn’t a hard choice honestly. The first thing I did was plug my phone into it, then ran a cable to my practice amp, and it sounds great! It was so easy to use since I already have AmpliTube for the iPhone, and I’m looking forward to checking out Ableton 10 lite and the AmpliTube custom shop (both came with it), but I also use some Positive Grid products, like Bias FX and JamUp. I was happily surprised to find out, with a small amount of “googling”, that this can be used with just about anything you’d want to use it with. You just have to slightly mess around with the midi assignments (look it up if you’re scared, it’s super easy) and you can use it as a controller for other amp/music programs and recording software. I think this thing is built like a tank, and since I used the payment plan through AMS, it was a really easy choice for the price.KillBill
13. Roland Fc-300 Twin Expression Midi Foot Controller
Product Details:
The roland fc-300 midi foot controller offers the power and flexibilty to control any performanced-based midi instrument or device with ease, onstage or in the studio. the fc-300 features two assignable expression pedals, two control pedals, nine footswitches and even more expandability, and can store up to 100 midi setups. live performers will benefit from the unit's two amp control switches, which control amps and effects. a three-way power supply (aa batteries, ac adapter, or via rrc2) and rugged construction ensure roadworthy dependability from the roland fc-300.
Specifications:
Package Dimensions | 25.0 x 14.1 x 6.0 inches |
Reviews:
This is a great controller. I am running a Mesa head with a G-Force effect processer. It is wonderful to change the effect of the G-Force and the channel on the head with one press of a button. The only thing that I did not like is Roland did not include a power supply, it had to be bought separately.Anonymous
The FC-300 MIDI foot controller is a rugged floorboard that gives you complete realtime control over all your MIDI devices. If you're familiar with Rolands older V-Bass or V-Guitar floor modules, or their GT series effects processors, you know the basic physical layout of this unit, and the quality and durability of its parts. There are no flimsy plastic components, and you'd have to work really hard to do any damage to its tough metal chassis. The two Expression Pedals have very smooth travel and output evenly throughout their full range. Theres just enough resistance to allow the pedal to stop securely at any point along its excursion, great if you want to capture a particular filter notch in a wah or synth, or the sweet spot in a volume sweep. In fully depressed position, there are on/off switches that are easy to access without putting all your weight on them, and yet they will not switch too easily so you don't have to worry about accidentally switching them on or off. The two Control Pedals can be set for latch or momentary operation. The Expression and Control Pedals are each assignable to virtually any two controllable parameters. There are two Mode Pedals, generally intended as Bank Up and Down controls, or to switch between Modes when depressed simultaneously. There are five Patch Pedals, each of which can select two patches within any bank. Depending on which of the four Modes is selected (standard, control, sys ex, or patch) each of the pedals can be assigned somewhat different if related functions. All pedals have associated lights to let you know exactly whats currently engaged. The two-line LCD allows for 16 characters per row, so you can have a pretty thorough designation for each selected patch. The variable intensity lighting in the LCD display insures that the characters are clear and easy to read in any lighting. If you need more control, the FC-300 has three additional jacks for connecting external Expression or Control Pedals, and a dedicated Mode jack for a pedal just to switch among Modes. There are even Amp Control jacks so you can switch between amp channels and their effects if your amp allows for that. Because this is a MIDI controller, of course there are MIDI in and out jacks too! The FC-300 has an onboard memory of 8 KB, and is capable of storing 100 separate Patches. If you have a very extensive MIDI set-up and somehow need more than 100 onboard Patches, that may be the only limitation you'll find with this controller. Full disclosure, this is more than Ive attempted with mine so far, but thats on the horizon. While a full-featured MIDI controller able to work with all MIDI devices, the FC-300 is optimized for both the VG-99 and the VB-99, and communicates with them so seamlessly that all programming is effortless and automatic. Ive only used mine with the VB-99, and I couldn't be happier with just how transparently easy it is to use, and how perfectly all the functions perform. No need to be fluent in MIDI if thats your main use for this. The FC-300 can be powered by an external power supply or internal batteries, but as an additional bonus when connected to the VB-99 through Rolands RRC2 cable (their proprietary CAT5 cable), it derives all its power from that. That eliminates the need for a separate power cord or MIDI cables to the VB-99 too, helping to minimize stage or studio clutter. The FC-300 isnt a sexy device, but its an extraordinarily functional one and will make your life a lot easier. Packed with features, as versatile as you could want, expandable with external pedals, and built solidly enough to withstand all the rigors of the road, Roland got this one exactly right.

Overall: Very happy with this purchase. I don’t use a ton of pedals so the 4+4 power supply shouldnbe plenty. Smells of quality and built to last. Plenty of space for MXR wah, Fender Marine Reverb, Radial ABY, Boss Tuner and Supro Tremolo footswitch. Will add an Overdrive Boost and a Leslie pedal. Good documentation, leads and Velcro. Bag is very hardy. Terrific value package IMHO. Haven’t needed to use support but email warranty followup indicates Voodoo Labs wants to do right by its customers.Matthew
I was looking for a compact board for just a few pedals. I was looking at the Pedaltrain Nano and the MONO Lite because I wanted something that could fit in my MONO Guitar Tick. As much as I like Pedaltrain boards, their bags are junk and nice padded bags can cost as much as the board they carry. While the Dingbat Small is a bit bigger than the PT Nano, it came with what appeared to be (and is) a nice padded soft case at a price equivalent to the MONO Lite Plus without the case. Construction is very similar to the MONO: a bent aluminum sheet with holes for routing cables. One nice feature of the Dingbat is that it is built to accommodate a wide range of Voodoo Lab power supplies. Since I happened to have a VL 4×4 on hand, that was both convenient and cost-saving for me. Since I've made such a big deal of how a padded bag is included, I'll talk a little about it. It's form-fitting but has a good bit of extra space so you can stash extra goodies on top of or beneath the board when it's in the bag. With that extra space, it has velcro straps that help keep the board from shifting while in the case. Padding is quite good. It's no flight case but it'll help protect your board when thrown in the back of a car. The outer covering isn't quite as indestructible as on my MONO cases but I expect it to hold up for some time. Voodoo Lab does sell replacement cases so if I wear this one out, at least I can get another.Alec
Just finished setting up my Dingbat Large pedalboard and overall, I am satisfied with the product. I own a couple of Pedaltrain boards as well, so I was able to compare them to the Dingbat. I am happy with both brands. The boards are well-made, sturdy and provide practical solutions for using multiple pedals. There is one major difference (in my opinion) that distinguishes them. Pedaltrain boards have slots that span the entire length of the board making it very easy to set up your cables. However, this design sometimes makes it a little more challenging securing certain pedals with velcro because there may be less surface area. On the other hand, the Voodoo Lab Dingbat has much smaller slots for setting up your cables. I found this to be a bit more challenging because many of the holes are covered up by your pedals (especially larger pedals), so I had to be more creative in figuring out where my cables should go. However, this was certainly not a "deal killer." It just required a little more thought. Also, the Dingbat has more surface area so my smaller pedals are generally more secure. Both brands offer good soft cases. But I like the fact that the Dingbat case has internal straps that provide more secure packaging for traveling with your rig. I'm happy with both brands and recommend both.Breukelenman

Overall: First, be aware that you are getting the smaller version of this pedalboard (the M model #) for the $99.99 price point. I misunderstood and though the board came in a kit with both the L and M side panels to customize the board yourself. I was wrong, it came with the M board and it was pre-assembled. It's a sturdy board that looks good and has a well thought out design. My Walrus Aetos power supply barely fits under the rear panel, but it works. It comes with everything you need to attached your pedals and the carrying case seems to be good quality. Even with the misrepresentation on the product page, I'm happy with the product. zZounds should consider clarifying what ships for their price, however.Adam
This is my second NuX Bumblebee pedal board and this has to be one of the best values and highest quality board and bag out there. I have no idea why the others cost so much more relative to what you get here. Solid and stable. The slats are adjustable, allowing for a variety of set up possibilities. Using the second, back level for pedals also allows you to easily put your power supply, always-on pedals (like a buffer) under that section. The sides are also designed so many power supplies and cables can be routed out thru the sides – a feature a lot of boards lack. The carry bag is excellent quality and it even comes with spare bolts, wire management clips and 3M Dual Lock tape. Either size of this pedal board is a great value.Rob
