Guitar Pedal Board Looper For Sale (2024 Update)

The Vidami Blue is one of the best purchases I’ve made to help me learn new songs and licks, and help with guitar lessons. I’ve been using it with Truefire to learn the solos for the song “Amie” and plan to use it with their licks videos. I’m also using it with YouTube via the Safari browser, along with sheet music, to learn the songs “Breezin’” and “I Ain’t Got Nothing But the Blues.” It is extremely convenient, faster and much more accurate to have a foot controller and loop a specific section of a song, instead of trying to put your finger on the little red dot 🔴, guess how far to back it up and keep doing it over and over. I like to slow down the bars I’m working on, then gradually increase the speed as I get the hang of it. The Bluetooth feature means one less wire on the floor and one more available outlet on my power strip. This product is built like a tank, with the solid metal construction comparable to the best guitar pedals. I have communicated with Wayne and can vouch for the customer service. Although Amy is better looking 😬😆, Wayne impresses me as extremely honest and sincere, and as a genuinely nice guy. I have no doubt they will back up their product. I mentioned guitar effects pedals above. Many people have blown money on effects pedals that they really didn’t need. And many in that same group probably have several pedals that they don’t use sitting in a drawer or box. Trust me when I tell ya that you are better off spending your cash on either version of the Vidami than any guitar effects pedal. I also plan to use my Vidami Blue to scroll hands-free thru music on iReal Pro and other platforms when I’m playing out. I've watched the evolution of the Boomerang looper from its initial large footprint to the smaller Rang III. After purchasing and using mini dittos, ditto X4, BOSS RC-50, Flashbacks, JamMan, etc., I finally decided to go with the Boomerang system because I simply grew tired of dealing with malfunctions during a public performance. Not to say that there aren't quirks about the Boomerang too, but in comparison the Boomerang phrase sampler, thus far, has proven itself to be far superior to these other loopers. There is an initial steep learning curve (it took me three days of concentrated effort to get the hang of the Rang), but now I've worked out my looper routine such that I can now comfortably manipulate composing four-voice loops which can sound convincing and stimulates my creative juices. I also picked up the Side Car and the E-155 chorus/delay pedal, which rounds out the system beautifully. What strikes me is the clear 48k audio output quality. What also floors me is to be able to solo in reverse (also a feature on the E-155). Looping is an art and I have a ways to go as I adapt to the Boomerang system, but I can see a bright future of creative growth ahead for me. The only drag is that you can't save those multi-loops, for the Boomerang is a live performance tool.But, really, I'm not bothered too much by that fact. I also have a BOSS RC-3 looper pedal with 99 patches filled to round out my expressive potential when I perform solo. Another kool thing about the Rang III is that you can plug a TS cable microphone or synth mono line out into the RIGHT stereo input which expands your input capacity. I still need to get comfortable with stacking and serial-syncing, but I'm quite surprised and satisfied with what I can create on the fly with the Rang III system. Just like with Pro Tools or any other routine which requires some study and practice, operating the Boomerang becomes second nature as you grow with it. Sonicake is the real deal. These guys design and make solid, great sounding and well-thought-out equipment. This looper is easy to use, compact, and comes with the features youd expect from boxes costing maybe twice as much. Ive used a good few lopper pedals before and this thing does it all with alot more style. The visual feed back Im getting form this looper is incredible it totally changes the looper pedal game. I noticed even with the stage fog on at fullblast I can see the screen very well. The color coding makes it easy to follow what Im doing at each moment. The screen is what allows the Aeros to combine paralel and sequential looping styles so well so its a huge plus. Using 6×6 mode is like having 6 loopers synced together all in one. I've have a few different loopers but this unit is like a recording studio that can quickly and easily recreate tracks that are in perfect sync. I have the Beat Buddy (drum pedal) that works in lock step with the Aeros. Can't say enough about this unit and the sound quality is excellent.Ger

For a compact looper pedal this has, great features. The deal breaker is the circular led panel. While this pedal functions in a basic way the led tells you exactly what is happening and where you are in you loop. That knowledge makes me far more confident to use it live. You can end the playback and erase the loop silently or pause the playback and use it again – useful if a lead break is later in the song. You record the rhythm part, pause it and start it later on in the song. There options for adding extra pedal to control things but I found I got on OK without them. Basically a solid looper with a useful display that is, easy to read in a live situation. The trick to silently erase is to double tap and hold the second tap. Stops instantly and the erases a couple of seconds later – this isn't clear in the instructions.David M.

High value and quality! Maybe not for the touring professional who needs every bell and whistle, but for beginners or intermediates it's a really solid feature set and great quality at a price point that is just a hair over the price of some much more basic units. Spend the extra $20 and get a pedal you'll love! Loopers are super fun, this one is no exception. There is a learning curve but that's more on the player than the pedal. (If your timing/coordination are not on point, a looper, like any recording method, will really highlight that.) My first loop pedal, so I can't really compare the Nux with others, but it seems pretty good to me. It could use more foot pedals so that some of the push-button functionality could manipulated while you're playing, but there's an option to connect another pedal anyway, so that's covered really. Pretty easy to use. Seems solid. Has a pretty good sound quality. Only thing I dislike would be the simplicity of the drum tracks, but I didn't really buy it for that. In all it's pretty great value. I did a lot of searching, and this has a lot for the price. Especially like the enormous record capacity with 99 presents you can save to. I'd recommend it.jamesingl0

This is heaps of fun to use – easy, foot switch is very fast (microswitch), sturdy casing – I wouldn't stomp on it too hard because I reckon the microswitch could wear eventually, but it's definitely a quick pedal. Came with a battery so you can try it out straight away. Nice and tidy, I really like this pedal. I don't regret it at all. Time for some fun!psylink2008

An immense sounding, feature packed device. This looper will improve your workflow and creativity from day one. I have been using it with my synths, bass guitar and acoustic guitar to make a variety of different genres of music, from synth-pop to classical. I’m experimenting with vocals, something I have never tried before and even for someone with no vocal training at all you can use the fx on the MKII to add depth and presence to your voice. This looper is great for making music right away. Plug in a guitar and a mic and you can be your own band. I also feel like it's pretty easy to learn. Things I don't like: flimsy volume faders, plasticity connections on the back and I feel like when you're live it's hard to control the volume of each loop. Very similar to the Ditto Plus, I personally have to have 2 stomp buttons on a loop pedal. Ditto,Electro Harmonics,and this MXR Clone looper would be my 3 picks for good loop pedals. Had this one for 2 days and really like it so far, I have been playing for 25 years, had tons of effects and consider this pedal very important on my pedal board, and loopers are a ton of fun along with being a great self gig tool. I grabbed one of these as soon as I was aware that MXR had brought a Looper to Market. The implementation of the half and double speed options + reverse using external tap tempo switch is a brilliant idea and works flawlessly. Expression pedal control for Loop volume is also a great feature and works perfectly. I was putting this thing fully through its paces in about 5 minutes without ever looking at a manual. Then I walked away for several hours with the looper powered on . On returning, the loop that was in memory had become a garbled, distorted digital mess. No controls would function on the pedal. A quick power off and it was back to normal. Use it for an hour, walk away for several…same thing. Ugh. My other Loopers don't exhibit any weird behaviour like this, you can leave them on for days on end. So, I returned it to my local GC and got a new one from the display case. Got it home and the green LED is dead and will not indicate playback. Ugh. Drove across town to another GC , picked up a third one. So far, this one isn't exhibiting any weird behavior, even after leaving it powered up for several days. If it proves to remain dependable, I would give this 5 Stars easily. I guess I better remember to send in that warranty! Even with the bugs (early batch problems?) this is an excellent looper at a great price point.KevMo

Very simple operation, but good list of functions. MXR pedals, like this one, are built like tanks and will last. I have had looper pedals that had too many features and as a result turned the joy of just playing into a complicated mental exercise and we all know what that does to the creative process. Two button operation makes this pedal just right for recording multiple layers of loops. Easy to remove the last take if you are not happy and want to do it over. Thoughtful feature that gives you a count in so you know when to start playing.KyMusic

This pedal was fairly cheap, and it does work, so I dont want to knock that part of it. However, The sound quality is terrible. I saw one review that said, after three or four layers of sound it starts to sound muddy. I feel that was an understatement. A single play back loop sounds muddy to me. Ill still use it to practice with, but Im not very impressed. Save your money, and buy a better quality looper.guitarded5150

Really impressive little looper. I love the separate mix controls for the looper and drum machine. Easy to balance properly for maximum tone. The drum samples sound great over a PA system and very realistic. This is a fantastic tool for songwriting and inspires so easily. Exceptional for riffing.rustyacoustic

Great compact unit with plenty of features. All the rhythms can be tempo adjusted and with separate volumes for the drum sounds and guitar loop you can always get the balance right. Early days but, so far, I love it. I already have a Ditto Stereo, so I knew what to expect. This was really bought for the 'stop' and 'fade' functions for live performance, but I really like the ways that the two loop functions can be used together. Does everything you want from a high quality loop pedal, and a bit more. Basic compared to some of the more complex pedals out there, but having what is basically two high quality single loop pedals in one that can play in parallel or series gives you so much more scope for creativity in your loops.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

I truly love the design of this product, don't get me wrong. But the dedicated stop switch is lacking. You have to double tap the stop to truly stop the loop, otherwise it plays until the end of the loop phrase and THEN stops. For a pedal advertised as "the guitarists looper" it seems more geared towards being midi synced with a sequencer, which is great if you overlook the fact most guitarists are unfamiliar with midi and are usually uninterested in using drum machines and sequencers. As a veteran looper, I realize the biggest problem is making loops on time. I've gotten pretty good at looping on time, but the occasional live screw up is still pretty hard to avoid l.With my boss rc20 I would simply record the entire verse, press stop instead of play when I get to the chorus, and solo over the verse after the chorus section, effectively avoiding off time loops altogether by never reaching the actual end of the phrase where the sort of "sound seam" of a loop is, which is always totally noticable if you're not perfectly on time. With the Ditto x4 it instead of incorporating a true dedicated stop, Tc electronics assumed everybody has a metronome sequenced to their looper and designed the stop to work such as that of a sequencer. This is a pretty unbelievablly stupid move in my opinion,considering this pedal is geared towards guitarists, not EDM DJs. I'm not your average guitarist, so I actually am interested in its midi applications. I'm not saying it isn't a neat idea to have midi sync on a pedal, but the pedal shouldn't revolve around that feature. I've been working on finding ways around the lack of a true dedicated stop, like getting good at double tapping on time. Pretty annoying to have to do when the thing has four buttons. Also, they should have made one of the effects simply a dedicated "undo" function. But the design? Perfect. Perhaps they could issue a software update to fix some of the bugs. I would be really happy with TC Electronics I'd they did.Bloth Wood

This is probably the most versatile delay pedal I've ever used, and I haven't even explored the "Toneprint" feature yet, where you use your mobile phone to upload new sounds to the unit. The feature I like the most is the Audio- tapping feature, where instead of tap- tempo using your foot to set the delay time, you just hold down the switch with your foot, mute the strings with your fretting hand and strum the tempo you want using down strokes with your strumming hand- As I'm a guitarist, not a drummer (praise the Lord) so I find this a much more natural way to set tempo than tapping a footswitch. After years of playing, I've only just discovered the joys of setting delay times to match song tempo (maybe I was a drummer in a previous life). The one feature I'll probably never use is the looper, but that's only because I already have a dedicated looper pedal anyway. Check out the Reverse- Delay feature, it's a very trippy feature-if you set your sound to 100% wet only you can sound like the Beatles Revolution #9- Turn me on dead man! Seriously though, this is great pedal for the money, I use the modulated delayand tape echo sounds a lot!steph_prid

I've been using the TC Flashback for more than a year now. Flashback has a variety of good delay sounds but I primarily use Tape or Analog mode to add some warm ambience or spaciousness when desired. I see some people complaining about the looper. I believe in order to get unity gain on the looper mode, you need to max the volume. This is fine for me because I never use the looper in a live setting but only when I practice a particular solo or improv over few chords. The strum-tempo works well but if you are changing tempo in a hurry, this may not be the ideal method. No, this is not the best delay I've ever used or heard but I would still use it for it's compact size and features. I'm somewhat of a purist using only guitar-amp and Flashback in the FX loop. I'm a tone snob but I also believe that with a decent setup, I could sound equally great utilizing my playability and musicality against any giant pedalboard with expensive boutique pedals or rack gears. Folks, this is a good pedal. From my knowledge, the great Guthrie Govan had them in his board as well. I play classic rock, jazzy blues, hard-rock, alternative rock, and pop. For my use, Flashback sounds great. I hope this would help your decision making. Good luck!krz

What an awesome pedal! Sure it's a tad pricey but you definitely get what you pay for: a reliable and gorgeous sounding array of delay effects – all in one stomp box. I almost bought the carbon copy because at first all I wanted was a straightforward delay. Really glad I decided on this though. Not only is the analog amazing, but the tape sound is really lush too. Recently, though, I've become enamored with the Mod delay. I set the feedback at 2-3 o'clock, level up fairly high and the switch all the way down. Then use my volume knob to swell in some beautiful chords. Instant eargasm! With the right set up it almost sounds like some kind of galactic orchestra! Havent messed with the toneprint function, but kudos to TC for putting it on there. It theoretically makes the FB limitless. Apparently there are some killer sounds to choose from online. Do yourself a favor and buy the Flashback. So many good sounds to be had, and even more with toneprint. True bypass switching for those of us with high end amplifiers. And even a little looper that occasionally serves its purpose. They've left nothing out!mr. gitbox

Couldn't find any reviews on this item yet, so I want to share my experience. For the price this item packs a lot of features (6 bypass loops, tuner out, not too big, "live" indiv pedal mode, built in tuner, etc). Using this looper to contain my pedals that go in front of the amp consists of a Keeley Compressor, MXR EVH Phase 90, Digitech CM2 Tube Overdrive and a JHS Sweet Tea Overdrive. My modulation effects are being run outside of the looper in my EVH 5153's effects loop. I found the switches to be fine and sturdy. Solid clicking latches and bright status lights when on. For my purpose this looper is more than I need because I rarely engage more than 1-2 effects at a time, so pre-programming loops is more than I need, but my old Loop-Master was finally having switch issues. In Live mode, where individual loops can be turned on and off manually, there seems to be a slight latency when engaging overdrives. Something I could probably learn to live with. However, a couple things are forcing me to return this item and wait for my newly purchased SaturnWorks 6 loop switcher. (1)The pedal series should run Right (Loop1) to Left (Loop6) like a normal pedal would run. This forced me to re learn my tap dancing order. (2)The Live/Programmed switching function NEEDS to be foot switchable. Instead it is a small push button that has to be touched by hand. This is huge because there may be songs or times that you may want to individually select an effect to turn on/off without having to have a preset programmed loop. You would need to bend down mid performance and select by hand. This could be an easy fix because the Save/Edit button is controlled by a footswitch. This logic seems backwards because I doubt I would be programming loops on the fly that would require a footswitch over tapping a Save button. (3)I did not like having to press 2 buttons at a time to bank up and/or engage muted tuning. If I really needed multiple pedal changes at once, I may put more time into thisPhil W
