1. Tc Electronic Sub 'n' Up Mini
Product Details:
The sub’n’up mini octaver from tc electronic is a pedal designed for electric guitar and electric bass. it utilizes an octave-engine which can achieve both monophonic and polyphonic tracking, giving you the ability to create shimmery tones reminiscent of a hammond organ, or a squelching bass line—all from the same instrument at the tap of a toe. two octave registers are provided via three knobs, so you can blend signal that is one octave up and one octave down on the pedal itself. you’ll also note the dry knob, which lets you dial in unprocessed signal to taste. like many tc electronic pedals, the sub’n’up is toneprint enabled, giving you presets custom-tweaked by artists that can be beamed straight to the pedal from a tablet, phone, or device sporting the toneprint app. it is also worth noting that you can create your own custom toneprints within the app itself. sonic signatures of the original sub'n'up can be loaded in this mini counterpart via toneprint too; basically–when compared to the original–you lose some hardware features (a knob and a switch), gain some room on your pedalboard, and sacrifice nothing in the way of tone. a bypass switch, which can be adjusted between true and buffered settings via an internal dip switch, allows you to turn the effect off and on. a power supply is included with the pedal. specifications controls dry knob up knob sub knob bypass/engage switch i/o 1 x 1/4" instrument input, unbalanced, phone type 1 x 1/4" instrument output, unbalanced, phone type bypass true bypass, buffered bypass optional impedance input: 1 mohm output impedance 100 ohms power input standard 9 vdc, center negative current draw > 300 ma power supply included usb port mini-usb port for uploading/editing custom toneprints, as well as software updates dimensions (h x w x d) 3.7 x 1.9 x 1.9" / 93 x 48 x 48 mm package weight 0.55 lb box dimensions (lxwxh) 4.0 x 2.6 x 2.3"

Reviews:
I love this pedal. The option to have one octave up and two down allong with the sry signal is great and creates a full sound. The tone is great, both the poly and classic modes, but the toneprint option is the real winner. Creating sounds and importing pre-created ones is a great way to dial in exactly what you want to sound like.
This pedal takes your playing to new lows! You can play with the settings and achieve amazing effects, the knobs are offering; 1 octave lower, 2 octaves lower, 1 octave higher, and so you blend it at your own taste. But the best part is probably the TonePrint, it is an App that you get for free in your computer then you have access to a wide variety of settings, effects and you can save them to your pedal, this is an amazing feature from TC electronic. Im using together the Sub n Up with the Hall of Fame 2, amazing results. You can use them both not only with bass but they work amazing with keyboard as well. Same day or next day dispatching, tracking code, unbeatable shipping price, safely packed, it took less than 10 business days to reach Kazan, Russia. Thank you.
I've been looking for something to make my guitar sound like a bass for years. There have been several octave shifters, but mostly monophonic and producing ghastly warbling sounds. This subnup pedal produces a good sounding bass using just the sub1 control, and adding the toneprint smooth bass patch turns it into a really nice punchy bass that reflects the tone of the string you are playing so you can get anything from a bright twang to a deep boom just using your fingers and there is no noticeable delay in the conversion, you play a note and it sounds immediately – older pedals used to have up to a half second gap between playing and hearing the note. This pedal does heaps more than that, several YouTube videos show it off, but I didn't see any that showed it being used to replace a bass when you just need it for a few songs and don't want to bring two guitars with you. I haven't had a chance to play with the tone editor yet, but that promises even more variation. Great pedal at a good price.Robin D.

Reviews:
I get a variety of good, useable tones out of this one box. In fact, this has replaced the distortion patches I was using on my trusty DOD Bass 30 entirely. To say that I am happy with any stock stompbox is a big deal, because I have only a few left in my collection that I haven't modified the circuitry in to better suit me. This is one of the few originals, and that says volumes. I step on mine regularly, and haven't had any issues with it. I'm not a bass player, but I play one on my records. I've been playing lead guitar for 20 years, and I know good sounds. I say this to inform you that my credentials are in good order. You can get any sort of growl you want, thick or thin- and as much or little of the clean as you need to retain the punch at the same time. The only thing I would change is the color of the box… Since that has absolutely nothing to do with the sound it makes, I'm fine with it. Seriously, I was skeptical too when I saw the price. Don't let it, and the silly color fool you- Let your ears be the judge. Being a man with ears, fingers, and experience beyond my years, I highly recommend it to everyone.Shredprodigy
I got this a while back to add a some gain to play a bit of metal with a bit of overdrive on top as well as fattening the sound of the bass. Unfortunately this will never give you a "smooth" gain sound like having a guitar amp's gain around 2. Having gain down all the way shuts off all sound to the amp, and having it around 2/10 puts on a harsh brittle overdrive no matter the EQ. Sounds a little better with flatwound strings. This pedal goes all out or nothing. If a "Hysteria" sound is what you're going for, this will do it but not a true amp low/med-gain sound.Fear
4. Source Audio Aftershock Bass Distortion Pedal

Reviews:
I got this pedal to add a distortion unit with midi functionality to my board and this doesn’t disappoint. Drive + Parametric EQ and with tons of different distortion types. Yes please. It can be routed numerous ways (my favorite being Mono effect plus dry through) and having this, or any source audio pedal to the board elevates your sound!!Matt R
A great pedal right out of the box, but infinitely tweakable parameters with the Neuro App to get the exact sounds you need. A great option if you can't decide what dirt pedals to get for your bass. You can also download various presets uploaded by other users on the app cloud. Can't say enough good things about this.madderbass

If you want to play different styles with the correct bass sound, be creative, or just have fun this pedal serves that purpose. Amazing amount of pedal simulators. Create your own sound and more. I bought this for old school Funk sounds and to create tones for original material. Cant go wrong for the price.dahug-71
Overall: I've had this pedal for a couple of years. I originally bought it for practice but I've been gradually replacing my pedalboard with it mostly because of three reasons:1. The compressor and limiter simulations are top notch. 2. The reverbs and delays are as good as any I've used before. 3. The Ampeg SVT simulation is something that I keep going to.As a bass player I only need very few effects and a good compressor. The rest of my sound comes mostly from the type of bass I use and my fingers. This pedal is perfect for all your effect needs. I'm surprised that more players don't use this pedal. Its cheap, easy to use and versatile.Sotero
I bought this a couple years ago. One of the best pedal/ effects purchases I've made. I have other much more expensive modeling systems/ multi effect units, and preamps. This is the only one I won't let go. It is simple, small, packed with options, and sounds good. I use it at home and I have used it live several times. It always goes with me in my case. For the price…. If you find at least two effects you like, then it has already met it's value. Simply put, what I bought to be used as a backup finds it's way to normal use often.
6. Electro-Harmonix Bass Clone Bass Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal
Product Details:
The bass clone chorus pedal s core circuitry is nearly identical to the legendary small clone chorus, but with added features especially for bass. chorus is a combination of modulated and dry signals. the bass clone s crossover switch cuts low end from the modulated signal so the pedal delivers a more accurately articulated bottom end with excellent note definition. the treble control affects the whole signal while the bass control only affects the dry half. together with the crossover switch they provide precise sound shaping that lets you achieve a tight, focused bass guitar sound with a well-defined low end and shimmering chorus on top.comes with box. does not include power supply.
Specifications:
Weight | 1.4 lb |
Reviews:
This pedal does exactly what it claims to do. Crossover feature keeps your low end clean and defined while the top end shimmers with the chorus effect. The ability to blend the effect is excellent. A marked improvement on the early generation of bass chorus pedals when everything gets a bit wobbly. Highly recommended.namkrowz
Build quality on this pedal is great, tone control is super. Paired up with a big muff bass pi and you've got a great sound. The crossover switch is a great addition but not one I use as I'm running a clean amp and a dirty one, so the more effects the better on the latter! Worth noting, there's no battery. This probably won't be a problem as if you are considering it you probably have a power bank or some other wired power already. Gets you 90% of the way to Come As You Are, you just need to learn the notes.toblockle-0

8. Behringer Uo300 Ultra 3-Mode Octaver Effects Pedal
Product Details:
The behringer ultra octaver uo300 3-mode effects pedal created depth by adding 1 or 2 octaves below the original tone. the pedal is rugged, features a lo, mid and high switch, direct control dial, oct 1 and oct 2 controls, runs on a 9v battery or psu-sb dc power supply (not included). the direct control provides just the right blend between octave and original signals and an illuminated led lets you know when the pedal is active. phat and thick there is strength in numbers. that's what they say and who are to argue with that? the ultra octavar uo300 underpins your sound with added muscle, generating notes one and two octaves below what you play. the result is powerful, with the deep, rich impact that is only possible when guitar and bass lines are joined at the hip. ease of use first, use the dedicated range control to specify whether you want to add beef to the high, middle or low frequencies, then dial in the amount of your original sound with the direct knob. lastly, turn up the oct 1 and oct 2 controls to add the lower octaves. now bask in the adoration of your fans. not just for guitar the uo300 isn't just great for fattening up guitar riffs-it'll add incredible beef to keyboards and bass, too! the status led tells you when the uo300 stomp box is working its magic and the excellent on/off switch maintains superior signal integrity in bypass mode.

Reviews:
First off, I am not a pedal person, mainly have played acoustic guitar in bluegrass bands. I will do duty on the electric bass and being I had heard Octave pedals were one tool to use to approximate acoustic bass sounds, I hoped to try this out on the cheap. One glance will tell you the pedal is not durable but it does go one and two octaves lower and the mix from source to effects works great. I can't really tell it makes the bass sound more acoustic but it could easily use a standard electric guitar as a bass if that could be called for sometime during the set. I won't be buying a better quality octave pedal but this has been really fun playing with. The hardest part for me was getting the 9v battery in, had to go to YouTube to see how Behringer pedals are done. If you are in it for the experimentation as I was you can't go wrong with this price.Dan the Sometimes Bass Man
What can I say?! This is my 5th purchase from JUNORECORDS , bought it on Tuesday got it Wednesday. Now for the product. It's like all Behringer Pedals , Light and plastic but by no means does that effect whats inside. Ultra Octaver has a fantastic sound , pitch perfect with the option of having the original signal on or off and anywhere in between..You can also change between which tonal area you'd like to effect with Hi , Mid and Low settings switch. Oct 1 increases the amount of signal of the altered sound one octave below and Oct 2 below that. This all gives you a bass accompaniment at you feet!! All in all a really good pedal at a really good pricecolinfingers1
This is a follow up to a previous review I made back in October. I have used this product on several in-state and out-of-state band gigs, carried it in a case on an airplane, and shipped it back to Texas. It worked flawlessly, and continues to work flawlessly. My buddy, who is the lead guitarist, was very impressed with the tone and volume this pedal achieves, for not a lot of $$. It really helps fill in the "holes" and "gaps" that are inherent in the sound of a 2 or 3 piece group. In summary, I would highly recommend this pedal to any gigging musician. Rock on.Big D
9. Tc Electronic Spark Booster Pedal
Product Details:
The spark booster is a stompbox-style boost, overdrive and eq pedal from tc electronic. it features level and gain controls, a fat/clean/mid tone selector and a 2-band eq. the pedal's level control offers 26 db of clean boost and is designed to simply add volume to your guitar sound without distorting or altering the tonal character. it can be used as a volume boost to your clean guitar, or at higher settings, to create overdriven sounds by pushing your amp harder. the gain boost control on the other hand, adds slight overdrive and compression. this can be useful in situations that call for the sound of an overdriven amp, but require that your volume be kept low, such as when playing a restaurant or coffee house gig. the spark booster's 2-band eq controls consist of bass and treble knobs, which allow both cut and boost. bass frequencies can be boosted for more punch, or rolled off a bit for a tighter sound that may otherwise sound boomy when playing through larger cabinets. add more treble to your tone to brighten up darker sounding amps, or to compensate for signal lost in long cables. treble can be reduced for softer, jazzier tones. the pedal can be run in 3 separate modes that can be chosen using the fat/clean/mid tone selector. the "clean" setting boosts your guitar signal equally across the frequency spectrum, while the "fat" setting adds more low-end punch to your sound, also allowing for more precise control of your tonal shape when using the eq and gain knobs. the "mid" setting provides a bump in the midrange that will give your guitar tone more "cut-through" in the mix.
Specifications:
Weight | 1.5 lb |
Reviews:
I used to think that boost pedals were dumb and that I would never use one. But after watching dozens of videos and seeing several big name endorsements, I thought that the Spark might be for real, and it is now EASILY my favorite pedal. Simply put, it just makes your tone better, no matter what kind of guitar or pickups you run through it. The sound quality and versatility are the best features. It gives you a great boost, but it's extremely amp-like, in the same way that clean channels on good tube amps break up if you crank the gain. And the little toggle switch gives you three different "clean channels" with which to work. The middle position has the most clean headroom and is the classic boost, but still breaks up a little if you max the gain. The Mid and Fat sounds add beef to your tone in fantastic ways, and I use those most often. Do you think that single-coils and/or jazz box guitars sound thin compared to solidbodies with humbuckers, like me? The Mid and Fat settings will fix that for ya. I love my Strats and my jazz guitars so much more now. Turn up the gain and the Mid and Fat settings will give you a great overdrive too. The best part about cranking the gain on the Spark is how well it makes your sound hit tube amps. It gives you glorious saturation at any volume level. This is the perfect pedal to put first in your drive section. Your other drive pedals will greatly benefit as well. Worried about tone? This is the most transparent pedal I've ever used, even more so than TC's other drive pedals (which I also love). The two EQ controls are fantastic and give the pedal a huge advantage over nearly every other boost pedal. Whether fully down or cranked, you get usable sounds in great frequency ranges. Simply put, this is the best pedal I've ever heard. Having volume AND gain, plus two great EQ controls, plus THREE voices to choose from puts this pedal above every other boost on the market. Seriously, just buy it already.T. Slice
Another drive/boost pedal. The ability to switch between fat/clean/mid modes is a nice feature. Separate bass and treble is handy too to sculpt the tone. Only 4 stars though because the foot switch is terrible. Why can’t TC put the same switch as they do in the polytune?Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Took a bit of a flyer on this as I sort of have an end result in my head and im not entirely sure how to get there. i have a hybrid amp that has a touch of valve harmonics that im trying to exagerate. this is a step in the right direction (and with some fiddling might even be the thing) i think what i was expecting was more like a compressor, but this is more or a transparent drive type effect (at least with my amp). however it is first drive pedal that ive loved without faffing about with the dials for hours. am getting nice bluesy /seventies blues rock tones using the clean setting on the toggle, and the gain about midway. the fat setting starts pushing into proper overdriven sounds, but with a nice natural tone. so despite not being exactly what i was looking for (my fault) im really pleased with this pedal. so much so i might gift one to my kid. theres a tiny bit of noise when the level knob goes up high, but i get much the same from my SD1 so either its just the nature of the beast, or my set upReviewed by guitarguitar custome

This MXR covers all of the tones I need. I am playing a passive bass through a PA. I mainly need some boost and some color. This works great. I rarely use the distortion. The pedal really add to the bottom end. I reduces that hollow tone you can get playing live in an acoustical challenging room.
Whenever I turn on this pedal, distortion or not it sounds like someone just woke up a beehive, The actual clean sound is pretty good but when you really dig into the pups it starts to make that pop sound louder which is a big issue for me at least, (shouldn't be due to volume increase) when the distortion is on, there's even more buzz AND it's a very bad distortion. The distortion also doesn't have a wide range of sounds and is only really usable at minimum gain and the blend knob almost all the way back, just get an OD , and an EQ pedal, trust me.Undisclosed
I typically run a clean bass signal with no effects (except for a compressor pedal). I purchased this pedal because of the DI, Equalizer control, Distortion (as needed) and 9v operation. (1) The DI sounds pretty good and records clean. (2) The Equalizer control is a little too sensitive for my taste, but it does shape the sound as expected. I feel that a +/- 12db 4-band Equalizer would have been better with frequency bands of 80Hz, 360Hz, 800Hz and 5kHz. (3) The Distortion is pretty good and fits the bill when needed. Like most distortion pedals, it is slightly thin when "on". But this pedal can balance a clean (low) and distorted tone for a good balance. (4) The pedal operates on the same 9v supply/polarity that virtually all other pedals operate on (center negative). I find this convenient when operating all pedals on my Big Joe Lithium Power Supply. In summary I'm happy with my purchase and it resides in my set-up all of the time.SLoveland

For someone who has recently started learning guitar and not in a position to own a classic or boutique tube amp yet, HX Stomp has transformed my learning experience. While not a cheap pedal to buy its much cheaper that its direct competition but with equal sound quality and flexibility. Its also much cheaper than buying a proper tube amp. Being a new player, it allows me to explore all manner of different amps to find a sound I like so when I eventually do buy a tube amp I’ll know exactly what I like. The size of the unit is just perfect for fitting onto a pedalboard and sounds amazing along with my existing pedals before it in the chain or in the Stomps FX Loop. Matching the tones of the songs I’m leaning is both fun and just amazing how close I can get in a few simple steps. It also lets me experiences how different the guitar feels to play through different style amps. With just simple fretting techniques I’m sounding like I’m an 80’s rock star which is something my small practice amp couldn’t even begin to reproduce. The sound quality and variety of tones available from sweet and clean to pure filth is a complete joy to use. My wife also loves it as she can no longer hear my daily practicing as now playing through headphones is so simple.GARETH W.
The HX Stomp is a ridiculous powerhouse of a pedal. I'm not a modeling expert or guru, but this thing is incredibly intuitive and fun to use. I've previously owned M9s and M5s and this picks up where those left off. If you're a fan of multi effect pedals, and interested in amp modeling look no further. You have to be strategic with what combinations you want since the DSP isn't unlimited, but I don't find that to be too much of a nuisance. Since you can run your analog pedals into it, efx loop or not, you have so many tonal options. I've purchased an external footswitch to add buttons and a dedicated tap tempo which I'd recommend to add functionality and ease of use. Besides those additions and minor gripes I'd highly recommend this unit. *The PolyCapo effect is my favorite! I use it to emulate a baritone guitar without needing to own another guitar and that alone to me justifies the price.
This unit is amazing value for money, so many tones available through the choices of effects amps and cabs it is almost overwhelming! There is however an amazing online community of HX Stomp users who share a huge amount of expertise so it was very easy to get up and running with the pedal. Brilliant. Only thing you should be aware of is that sticking it on a pedalboard isn’t the easiest thing in the world, it’s quite highly powered and the connector is non standard so you would need an adaptor to run it on a pedalboard. But again a quick search online will provide all the information you need.Michael H.

Thank you.
Excellent value. Tracks well. Very clean sounding in poly mode (almost too clean). The ability to create and store your own preset via toneprint is very useful. Effectively giving access to another effect, which is very cool if you have limited space on your board or are on a strict budget. Plus, there are lots of free toneprints already available which are most useful. Having mentioned that the poly mode is almost too clean, it should be possible to remedy this with a custom toneprint.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
13. Line 6 Bass Floor Pod Multi-Effect And Amp Modeler
Product Details:
This is a line 6 bass floor pod. it is a multi-effects pedal for bass guitar. it is used, and is being sold on consignment. however, it has been tested and found to be in working order. it has a few scratches, but nothing in the performance is impeded. it comes with a power cable as well. available online or in-store!
Specifications:
Finish | Black |
Year | 2000s |
Pedal Format | Floor Unit |
Reviews:
This is a fine unit that has tremendous functionality and given some time and effort there is almost no tone that cannot be extracted from this unit. Unfortunately Line 6 goes out of their way to make it an unpleasant experience. Unless of course your willing to fork over more money for software that other companies would give you for free, or at least substantially less than Line 6 charges. You shouldn't have to shell out hundreds of dollars for a unit followed by hundreds more for some software to get the most out of it. Line 6 is the worst, but the POD Pro XT is a good unit.recnepsterb
For a nine year old effects floorboard, this is a great value for someone (like me) who wants several effects without spending $100-200 per pedal. Line 6 is generous with this one, Ive only had it two weeks and theres still plenty of sonic discoveries to be had. Cant compare it to Line 6s new units, but this one looks cool, sounds even better. Couldnt care less that it happens to be all modeling, I can plug a bass in, then in the blink of an eye pick up the guitar without unplugging from the bass amp and still get a huge stellar amp tone for ultimate chunder. Get it, for $200-ish its a steal!aig-man
This is a pretty good bag. The quality is excellent and it looks/feels like it will last quite a while. I bought this for my Line 6 Pod hd500x and it works "ok" for it. The bag could be a bit more snug so the Pod does not flop back and forth when you carry it. Length wise there is extra room and a spacer which allows you to carry some extra cables or a power strip, but I am talking about the snugness on the top and bottom. I may try adding an extra foam pad to see if this helps. I know this bag was not specifically made for the Pod so I can't fault it too much for not fitting 100%. It is a great deal for the money!jkelly517

Product Details:
The mxr bass preamp combines a pristine bass preamp with a studio-quality direct out in a phase 90-sized box, providing clear tone without hogging precious pedal board space. use it to add a new voice to an old passive bass, sweeten up any amp, or put some special sauce on a particular song. dial it in just the way you want it and send it straight to the house-pre or post-eq-with the built-in direct out. the bass preamp features separate input and output level controls and a 3-band eq section with sweepable midrange-from 250hz to 1khz-for extensive tonal flexibility. it's all delivered super clean with high headroom thanks to our own constant headroom technology, and you can use the pre/post eq switch to set whether or not your direct out signal is affected by the bass preamp's eq section. and of course, the bass preamp features a ground lift switch in case you encounter ground loop hum. the bass preamp is factory preset to operate in ¼" out buffered bypass and direct out active. for players who only want to use the ¼" out, there are two internal switches that disable the direct out and ¼" out buffered bypass for true ¼" out bypass mode.

Reviews:
True to the many reviews I read online before purchasing, this preamp is very transparent, providing boost and EQ without adding its own color/flavor to the sound. Great for matching a passive instrument's output to that of an active one when switching between. So if boost and a bit of EQ are what you're looking for this may be the pedal for you. If on the other hand you're seeking a massive tonal change beyond boosting what's already there this one will probably leave you wanting.duneindy
I purchased this to compliment my Yamaha BB425x which, for a passive bass, has a hot output. The EQ parameters don't have a wide enough range to be very versatile. I found myself having to run at 3 o'clock just to get much of a difference and at full for a obvious difference. With an active bass I could compensate for that but, I bought it to compensate a bass, not the other way around. On the plus side it is very quiet, and like all MXR products well built.markm13
Perfect for when you want an onboard preamp for your passive jazz bass, but don't want to modify the bass. Really like the voicing of the sweepable miss, wider filter than a lot of eq, great for filling out jazz bass mids. The bass is perfect for adding definition to the lows, salt to taste with the treble. Transparent, low noise, good headroom. Build quality you'd expect from MXR. Part-ex'ed my first one and missed it so much I bought a second.Graham B.

I have spent over 20 years trying to find the "right" reverb. Sure the built-in reverb in my Fender Blues Deluxe is warm and delightful but it doesn't have that "heavenly" feel. Slotva features a highly customizable set of controls along with presets that will just blow your mind. This pedal is already my favorite. I played it for 6 hours the day I got it and have simply fallen in love with it.Dave
Sounds great , works perfectly , easy to useJake R.

This is a great pedal if you are looking to add chord tones to your playing. This effect requires some imagination but if you are a "School Days" fan that is a good place to start realizing the possiblities. This is a solidly built and great sounding pedal but I realize it won't fit a lot of bass players styles. It works for me though!ChillyG
I recently have been given one of these and spend many hours playing my fender precision bass through it. The sound is really good, maybe even improved from the original. The "dive bomb" is spectacular, and the passage through different octaves feels very smooth and natural. The only thing I didnt like is that the button you have is just to bypass the pedal, so you need to change the effect manually, while I seem to remember that the original 90s pedal had a down/up selection you could range through while playing… you see… hands need to stay on the strings 🙂
I own the original and this exceeds my expectations. I'm A little disappointed that digitech eliiminated the gain dial from the original model as it does drop your signal down a little. I also miss the push button selection, but this thing is way more sturdy. I love that they retained all the original settings and added a few more. Tracking is significantly improved over the original. 9 volt input is a welcome change. :D.Mike

Number of Filters | 2 |
Reviews:
Distortion/overdrive/fuzz pedals are difficult to get right. There are different "flavors" of dirt, differing amounts available, and there's the issues around EQ coloration and loss of low end. The Aguilar Agro has a nice flavor (kind of retro tube instead of overly modern), a wide range of amount (from none to pretty fuzzy), but best of all what it does and does not do to your overall tone shape. I find that it does not lose my fundamental low frequency and it does not impose a baked-in EQ (such as a mid-scoop) for me to struggle against. It's just my bass, sounding just as it always does, but with a really nice crunch added to it. Simple. But hard to get right. Nice job, Aguilar.scottfeldstein
Minus one star because it's frankly overpriced. Otherwise this pedal is excellent and the best use of 4 knobs in any current envelope filter. You can get a little more out of some of the filters with 6 or 8 controls. But for effective simplicity this pedal is fantastic. You can get a modest variety of albeit similar sounds, but nearly every setting is usable. This alone is more rare than it should be in pedals. The twin filter is incredibly well tuned. And generally easy and pleasurable to use. The only issue I have is with its price. I design audio electronics professionally and can guess at the cost to produce. And the main circuit they sadly chose to pot. Someone looking to "steal" this non-patentable design could still do so but it makes modification and repair near impossible. They should ditch the potting and set a lower price because they should be selling more of these very good pedals.Marty McFlurr
18. Jhs The Kilt V2 Overdrive Pedal
Product Details:
This amazing overdrive pedal by jhs is the signature pedal of guitar play stu g. most overdrive pedals are one trick ponies, this puts other overdrive pedals to shame in terms of versatility. this pedal has 2 different gain stages that can be controlled via the switches labeled g1 and g2 or using a red remote (also being sold on my store). you can also turn both stages off to get a very transparent low gain sound and by playing with the gain stages you can get all the way up to high gain distortion. by turning on both gain stages you get a velcroey sounding gated fuzz. killer pedal producing killer tones.
Specifications:
Power Source | 9 V DC |
Number of Toggles | 3 |
Indicator Type | LED |
Current | 64 mA |
True Bypass | Yes |
Reviews:
Well, in case you made this far, let me tell you something: I'm a big fan of JHS in general, but man… This pedal (The Kilt) is insane! 4 different set of drives and they all sound amazing. I'm in love with the Fuzz option. AMS was great as well, quick shipping and excellent customer service.
I was super excited to see JHS's V2 of the Kilt as it was compact and simply cool looking. I bought it for my third stage overdrive. Paired with the JHS Red Remote, this thing is super versatile. Medium overdrive all the way up to sweet fuzz. Don't get me wrong she is capable of a solid heavy overdrive, almost distortion. All that to say I would definitely recommend this pedal simply because its super compact and it's range in overdrives.sirTimithius
19. Valeton Dapper Bass Effects Strip
Product Details:
Very convenient pedal that takes up very little space but does a whole lot. it has a quality preamp and di, so you can go straight to the board and leave the amp at home if you wish. you also get some key effects: chorus, octaver, fuzz/synth, boost, and tuner. for a lot of bass players, this maybe all they need. i bought it because i wanted a small set up for my gigs that i wasn't going to need a lot of effects for or need to drastically change my tone from song to song. it served its purpose well until i bought my helix. once i got that, i just had to bring it to all my gigs. so i haven't been using this pedal anymore and probably won't anytime soon, thus why i'm listing it. it still works great but does have a bit of cosmetic wear on it (as shown in the pics).
Specifications:
Voltage | 9V |
Interface | Knobs |
Connector Type | XLR |
Gain | Up to 12 dB |
Number of EQ Bands | 3 |
Reviews:
This is a great multi effects pedal/DI. Its all I need. Dont let its small size fool you. Its got some weight to it, so I assume its probably well built. All metal. Each effects sections knobs light up a different color. Tuner is accurate. I didnt give a full 5 stars because I wouldve liked a rate knob in the chorus section & maybe some more options in the compressor section. Overall, I recommend this pedal. Pleasantly surprised with the build & sound quality. I doubt Ill use the Dirty Q (envelope filter) much but its there if I need it. Spend a little time with each section of this pedal & Im sure you will find at least one setting youll like!fuelman1975

A ground lift switch helps to quiet noisy ground loops. Control knobs that are wide in control. The Dapper Bass is tuned to bass guitar and the effects can be dramatic compared to standard bass tone alone. It also has a built in standard chromatic tuner. Full metal chassis construction.
