This unit is just incredible. I've been playing since the early 70's and with all the equipment that I've owned I really think the GT100 has possibly impressed me more than anything I've bought! There's some wonderful preset sounds in this tone monster and it's easy to edit the one's that you like. If you're already proficient at programming pedals then this one will be a dream for you to manipulate. This isn't my first multi effects pedal but I don't enjoy programming and this is by far the easiest to program of the one's I've owned. I can't say enough about the sound of this thing. It has every tone that you could ever need. It's extremely quiet too. I'm definitely glad that I made this purchase. I can see a lasting relationship building!Alan
Overall: I picked this up knowing it was at the end of it's market life, but I wanted to finally own one. COSM is starting to feel a little old, but it's still an amazing pedalboard. The amp modeling is good, especially the clean tones. The distortion can get a little "digital" sounding, but it's still very usable. The effects are top notch, especially the delay and reverb. What attracted me to this product was the routing options, specifically USB. I do a lot of home recording on my DAW and an underappreciated feature of this board is the ability to record both a dry and wet signal to your DAW at the same time. Reamping (routing the signal out of your DAW back into the device for processing after recording) is a great tool and something that is not found in a lot of boards. It really gives this kit an extended life off the stage and in the studio. 6 years after launch this is still a great product!Allan
I have to say I love his board, I've been through several multi effects and was recently building up an all analogue pedal board myself with some nice TRex and Keeley pedals in there. I was inspired after watching Johnny Marr and listening to some of the tones he got from the GT100 so I jumped when it was on offer. I run it through a small Behringer mixing desk into two Yamaha DBR12's and all I can say is that it sounds awesome. As a change to my usual random approach I went through each preset and made a note what it reminded me of or what it might be useful for,if I liked the patch. Its a testament to the board that out of the 200 presets I marked nearly 50 out for being useful out of the box. Now i just refer to that sheet and if I have a cover song I want to try or a feel for an original piece I just the closest preset as a starting point. There are so many features on this board its pointless trying to list them but suffice to say its got everything you are going to need, and there is always the effects loop if you are missing some random effect. What else can I say, oh yes its improving my playing as I use the metronome on it loads, really helping me improve my speed. The screens are clear and easy to view, and the whole menu is very intuitive to work with. Gets a definite thumbs up from me absolute winner of a product 🙂

Stamp into Orange 1×12 loaded with Vintage 30. Guitar into MXR Noise Clamp then Distortion III. Analog Chorus and Reverb (the only thing that's primarily digital in my rig) in the Stamp's effects loop. Wired so that the preamp section of the Stamp is in the Noise Clamp's loop as well as the Distortion III. I'm not going totally clean on the Stamp, using the Distortion to boost it and the Chorus is always on to give it a "wetness" to the signal (rate and depth can be on zero). The Stamp and Distortion III give this gnarly midrange voicing (with its tone knob around 11:00) that makes me feel like I'm playing through a cranked stack though I'm actually at bedroom volume. The sound is warm and huge with no shrill highs yet killer upper midrange cut. It's easy to see that this would compete with an acoustic drum set and seriously cut through a mix.
These are WAY CQQL little amps! The only thing that I changed out on mine is the 12AX7 tube inside. I removed the stock JJ tube and installed a Tung-Sol and OMG! So much more Volume, Sustain, Clean Clarity, Note Articulation and Headroom – NO MUDDINESS! Get this, while you are in there changing the tube, you will notice a mini Tube Gain Trim Pot. I backed mine all the way to the left then set it to half way up and this works perfect for me cuz I use it for Cleans and use Pedals for the rest. It still has plenty of Gain though on its own. This is my 3rd Orange Product. I also own the Micro Dark Terror and LOVE them Both. Try one out today! Soooo Affordable and real tube Tone! Can't wait to get home from work and WAIL on it some more!!!
I bought this as a practice amp along with a 108 cab. My live rig involves a lot of pedals including using an fx loop and there are very few practice amps out there with a loop. I love the twin volume switches for boosting, and it sounds great clean as well as driven. Having a DI out makes it more versatile but bear in mind you’ll need a longer than usual speaker lead (I found out after that Orange make a 20’ speaker cable: worth buying. I should point out that this can get very loud so good for small gigs too. Only two issues, I would like an extra switch to turn the loop on and off (like I have on my Marshall origin) and I have found it gets quite noisy with the fx loop connected. This may be down to my cheap power brick on my pedal board but never had this issue with my Marshall. There are other pedal sized amps out there but this is one of the cheapest and definitely worth the money. Slightly more than a tiny terror but that doesn’t have the fx loopDaniel C.

The footswitches are finicky. The overdrive models are sub par. The touch screen works well and the IR workflow is excellent. In the end, it was not for me. While the amp tones have a pleasant midrange quality, the character itself felt restrictive. The reverbs are glorious but do not warrant the price of admission. My first one had footswitch issues, where they would activate on their own. The replacement did it once or twice. I ran at that point, and do not miss this sub par productEC
For me the MX5 is exactly what I have been looking for many years. Intuitive, compact and priced right. I owned the original Line 6 Pod, the Boss GT-10 and recently the Line 6 Pod Go. The frustrating thing for me with the Boss GT-10 and Line 6 Pod Go is if I did not consistently use them I would forget how to go in and tweak the sounds. Sometimes I don't play for weeks even months and when I got the urge to play again I had to fiddle or re read the manual on how to make certain adjustments. I ended up spending more time on the darn effects unit than actually playing the guitar. With the MX5 it's very intuitive via the touch screen to just make changes or create a new rig. I don't think I'll succumb to use it or lose it affect. The compact size means it can be tucked away easily in my office. And the fact that it has a built in expression pedal is really nice. I don't typically do reviews but I felt this is the first time in a while that a product has met all of my needs. I think Headrush really nailed it for many of us older, part time weekend warrior guitarists out there that just want something easy and ready to use. The MX5 is the third modeler/multi effects processor that I have used for recording and playing live. In my opinion the overall sound quality is a bit underwhelming. On the positive side, the clean tones are excellent. On the negative side, the overdrive tones are satisfactory at best. To be completely honest, I'm very disappointed with the overdrive/distortion tones. It will take a lot of tweaking to get a desirable crunch tone if you are a True Tone chaser. I am not alone with this opinion. Check out the YouTube reviews of the MX5 and the reviews from those who are not affiliated with HR marketing. There are some honest reviews that point out the good, the bad, and the ugly. I unfortunately did not pay attention to those before I purchased this pedal. If you are not a tone chaser and you are new to modeling, this may be a good pedal. It has a great looper. It is easy to use. And it gives the user plenty of options for exploring different pedal tones (not to mention the ability to split the signal chain). But if you are serious about high quality sound, compare this with others before you buy. Not to mention, this pedal has had its share of firmware bugs. I recently replaced a 5 watt Roland cube street with the more powerful cube street EX. I was disappointed that the EX did not come with Roland JC setting. The clean setting on the EX produced a sterile, cold sound that I warmed up nicely with the Behringer tube modeler. This was my only reason for purchasing this pedal. I have occasional use for a battery operated amp and this pedal allows me to get the warm tones that I require.Richard
Case is plastic to evidently help with cost. With the cost of musical equipment any help is great. I take very good care of equipment so I do not "stomp" on them. Pedal has quality sounds that seem to work within relm of eq'ing. This pedal has it's own drive built in although a bit sensitive. Take your time and you can dial in some quality tones and sounds. I play lots of various music ranging from southern, blues and Christian rock and have been able to fine something nice that works with each style or genre. Again the pedal controls seem a little sensitive so take your time when you start with the pedal. I enjoy expermiemting so this facet is a-ok by me. Over all good pedal.Bo L.
I've had the pedal a couple weeks now and I am more familiar with it. I may have written a previous review so this might be an update… I purchased this pedal for the few times I would have to play on others' amps that don't have any effects as I already have two very good modeling amps. It works great on the modeling amps with the clean channels selected. Recently I bought a Fender Blues Jr which has no effects. I am in a small space where you really can't crank up the volume. To cut to the chase, the TM300 can stand toe to toe with either of my modeling amps, either plugged into them or the Blues Jr. In the modeling amps it provides more clean voices than the amps do without a lot of fiddling. You can also use the distortion/overdrive features instead of the amps' native on-board features if you wish. It is very intuitive and if you take the time to play with it you can come up with some very interesting combinations. I have a Les Paul Custom and a Fender Strat. And though both have upgraded pickups I couldn't quite get the sounds I wanted. The LP was a little too jazz-like and muddy when played in distortion thru the amps. The Strat was just tinny and quacky. I was considering changing out the pickups in both a second time. The TM300 breathed new life into my LP. I can now dial in the sound I want without having the change the pickups. The Strat has a richer fuller sound when I want and the quack when I want. I got this one simply because it was cheap and I just wanted to play around. Venti cinco dolares? Are you kidding me??? The only drawbacks are: 1) It has a plastic housing. It's not heavy duty like a Boss. 2) If you use 9V batteries you have to take the stomper off the change them. A minor annoyance. 3) If you use batteries you have to be careful to unplug the unit after use or it will burn thru your battery in less than a day. Or you will have to buy a 9V adapter. BUT… If you don't want power cables and like to keep things neater, the battery option will help and will also make it more portable as you don't have to pack a power cable if you go anywhere with it. This is my 3rd Behringer pedal, and though not the best in the world I own 3 for 75 buckaroos… less than the price of one professional pedal. For an amateur they work fine and can help a newbie find out what they like and need in pedals without a lot of financial pain.

I could spend all day yapping about this pedal…In my travels i've tried countless pedals, but got tired of having 'too many' pedals. The weight, the time it took to hook it all up. I also busk, or play where electricity isn't available, and wanted a setup where i could make one trip with everything, and keep the weight down. I've always been a fan of ZOOM products, so trying out the Multistomp series was a no-brainer for me. The 50G met all my requirements, and exceed them all after i got one and started using it. Tones that are as good as any higher priced pedal, the versatility is second to none, and the price is killer for what this pedal can do. I would say the the Bluetooth version was my favorite, then the 70CDR, then the 50G, with the 50G's new 3.0 update, the 50 G is now my favorite pedal…period. The 50G started with maybe 50 patches, now it has 172, and best of all it has the Exciter patch, which to me is required on any pedal board. All i can suggest is watch the countless demo videos of this pedal. I would recommend this pedal for any level of guitarist, i would also recommend the MS-70CDR, watch the demo videos of the 70-CDR vs Strymons…amazing I cant say enough good things about the 50G, i believe it's near the perfect all around pedal. The MS-50G pedal is first class. It is every bit as clean, quiet, and well built as the Boss pedals. It is not a replacement for the Boss line. Zoom pedals have a character of their own. Personally, I like the Zoom tone. But I'm not a guitar player. There is a great ~15 minute YouTube instructional video for the MS-50G. I got over the learning curve for writing and storing effects by watching this video, then I bought pedal. It replaces several pieces of my high quality studio gear when I need fast results that are of high level audio quality. Zoom delivers with this product. After I watched this video I purchased the pedal. I also like my G1X as a companion to this pedal. The G1X has a nice volume/expression pedal.Sean
I needed something for my living room and practicing while watching TV late at night without a full pedal board or multi-effects box. This along with a Boss RC-3 and a mini mixer for my wireless headphones provides everything I have in my studio at a mini level. The sounds are good enough. There are enough options in sound to play most anything. Eventually I'll try this little beast as a sub for my full pedal board and see how it works in a live jam. One pedal to do everything. It's not perfect but it is great. I wish Zoom would provide updates to it and a better manager. It's pretty old by today's standards and if Zoom provided updated files they would sell even more if these great little boxes. Unglaublich, was aus dieser kleinen Box rauskommt, für meine Ohren ein perfektes Abbild eines Fender Deluxe bzw. einer Vielzahl deren Ausprägungen (Mods, Cabs, +Boost). Ich betreibe den Dream an einem Blueamps Junior EX (FRFR Stereo). Gut, anders als beim Iridium oder Boss IR200 ist hier kein Marshall oder Vox, aber dafür der Fender richtig. Ich kriege jedenfalls von Cleans über Crunch bis overdriven Leads alles zu meinem Gusto hin. Es ist jedenfalls sehr einfach einen guten Ton einzustellen (was bei z.B. bei IR200 m.E. viel aufwendiger ist). Reagiert sehr gut auf Effektpedale (auch digitale) und auf die Spieldynamik. Ich nehme auch keinerlei Latenz wahr. Die Kritikpunkte die man so in den online-Reviews liest kann ich bestätigen: kein Aux-in, keine balanced outputs, Preset-Steuerung nur über die Mobile-App, weder von Desktop noch über Midi… aber ein richtiger Deluxe Amp bietet das alles auch nicht, kommt nur mit einem Mod/Cab und kostet das vielfache. Ich bin jedenfalls rundum glücklich mit dem Gerät und kann's jedem empfehlen, der die Fender-Tones sucht.
Mich hat es förmlich von den Socken gehauen… Also ich haben in den letzten "Jahrzehnten" so ziemlich alles an Amp Modulation probiert, was auf den Markt kam, angefangen beim POD (Brrrr)… Aufgehört beim Helix & Co. ! Das einzige Teil, was mich wirklich überzeugen konnte, ist der Kemper. Allerdings bin ich da (mal abgesehen vom eingentlichen "Amp" und der Box), auch bei einem 19" Case und Gewicht und Kabel, usw…. aber okay, das ist jammern auf sehr hohem Niveau. Und dann kommt diese kleine Kiste – WHAT … Ich bin hin und weg – hab ich ein Zeitalter übersprungen – wo ist der Haken ? Antwort: Es gibt keinen ! Natürlich kann man jetzt viele Dinge anbringen wie der kann dies oder das nicht, der hat kein Midi oder Aux und der Kaffeemaschinenanschluß fehlt auch, außerdem ist er nicht aus purem Gold, usw…. Der Dream ist absolut genial – aus basta Amen, fertig aus. Ich habe noch nie eine so geilen Fender sound aus einer Tretmine gehört – absolut genial und wenn man etwas minimalistisch unterwegs ist, könnte man mit dem Ding alleine auf die Bühne gehen – ernsthaft ! Nach ein paar Wochen Test werde ich meinen Kemper verkaufen (mein ernst), ich hab mir mein kleinen Board schon umgebaut, so das der Dream darauf Platz hat und fertig, mehr brauche ich nicht. Das habe ich immer gesucht: Eine Amp-Simulation, die einen geilen Fender-Amp einigermaßen passabel über eine PA wiedergibt. Der Dream übertrifft meine Anforderungen bei weitem. Wenn einer noch mehr will, muss er auf das Original zurückgreifen… Perfekt ! Bei Bedienung nur 4 Sterne – ja okay, weil ich -wenn ich von der Preset Seite komme oder von "live" wie immer man auch möchte, im anderen Modus keine Ahnung habe wie die Regler stehen… das ist nicht schön, aber in der Konstellation nicht anders machbar – hatte ich früher auch schon mal, in der 19" Ära, aber ich weiß nicht mehr bei welchem Gerät. Völlig egal, wenn Du den Dream mal eingestellt hast, sind kaum mehr Anpassungen notwendig und somit…. Leute: Antesten und dann kaufen, weil nach dem Test gibt es keine andere Option!!!!

Recently downsized my Fractal (Axe-fx) live rig into this little unit. I've had it now for about a month and i'm really happy with it. It does everything i hoped it would and the tones i'm able to pull are great. The built in presets are a really great place to start and you can dial in your 'sound' even more with the many effects available. The touchscreen is an awesome feature but i'm really happy with the computer editing capabilities, as that's what i'm used to. The build quality is actually really strong and the built in exp pedal is super solid too. And it's small, like.. smaller than my keyboard! Perfect for carrying around to shows! I was also able to get this really cheap compared to it's competition. There's even an Ampero gig bag that you can purchase separately that is fantastic. Cheers!Barak B.
I have been VERY impressed with the Hotone Ampero so far. I have no idea how they were able to create such an amazing product for such an unbelievable price. It's like a Helix LT shrunken down for about 1/5 of the price and it has the same dual DSP SHARC chips as Helix! The unboxing is similar to an Apple product. Build quality seems very solid. There are tons of AMPS, EFFECTS, and CAB Sims in here! And so far, they all sound great. I've only been through a small % of all this stuff. But I can't wait to see what I can do with it. P.S. I usually use mics, but this unit sounds good run directly into the mixing board thanks to the better than average amp/cab emulators. The overdrive/distortion and chorus algorithms are particularly noteworthy, and the reverb and delays are also more than adequate. Definitely one of the best overall multi-effects pedals I've used, especially in a direct to board capacity. El servicio de venta, envio y entrega, como siempre, impecable. Utilizo el pedal para grabar en una tablet android, con una interface usb umc22. El tm300 hace la simulación de ampli y puedo trabajar sin latencia. El resultado es bastante bueno. El sonido fender esta muy bien conseguido con una realista saturación y buena definición arriba. En el british me gusta el crunch y con el calif entran bien los solos. No lo he probado con un ampli real, pero en grabación directa necesita algún retoque para terminar de redondear el tono. Tambien funciona en algún estilo con el bajo. Lo mejor es la saturación analogica que para mi gusto, suena mejor que la digital. Aqui no hay presets y hay que trabajar cada sonido en cada cambio de tono. El toque de válvulas, aunque algo turbio en alta ganancia, suena convincente. Las posiciones de micro estan muy conseguidas. I'm genuinely blown away by this unit… from ease of use to the sounds it produces. My band has recently gone to running a silent stage, and I wanted to try something other than running a line out from my Katana. I figured why lug and amp when I don't need to. I've used units like this before, (PD HD500X and an old Vox Tone Lab) but felt they still sounded artificial. The BOSS GX100 is amazing! The learning curve is hilariously easy, and the touch screen makes editing on the fly a breeze. The other guitar player in the band couldn't believe the sound coming through FOH… and the recording needed no tweaking in the studio. Incredibly happy with this purchase, as with everything I've purchased from Sweetwater. BOSS has outdone themselves again.
Overall: This is a heavy duty pedal with so many different great sounding amps and effects that I don't even know where to start. Well built is an understatement. The build of it screams professional. from the chassis to the knobs and expression pedal this thing feels Pro in every way.The amps are fewer than most companies offer but BOSS went the quality over quantity route here. From crystalline cleans to all out brutal and everything in between. The drives are excellent and so are the modulations, delays, and reverbs. I find them superior to my Helix actually. There's not enough room in this review box for me to go over everything I love. A couple things I do not love..There's no poly pitch in this unit. The assigns can be confusing at times especially when it comes to assigning the expression pedal. It was ok once I wrapped my head around it but it was definitely and obstacle I had to overcome. Overall this unit is well worth the 599 price tag. I have owned many modeling units for many years and this is one of the best I have had.Robert

I bought a Takamine EG523CDX-12 HB, and the TK-40 electronics were too hot to plug directly into my Behringer mixer. So I bought the module primarily for the pre-amp, and it does that admirably. I get a sweet sound through the XLR, rather than the muddy mess I got plugging directly. The pre-amp is passive and doesn't drain the battery. Good inexpensive solution, the sound of the 12 string is very smooth and sweet. But then there's that foot switch. I got lost for well over an hour being a feedback tube monster through the amp. The drivers are very nostalgic and very tuby. A lot of fun for the price. Not sure if I'll ever incorporate it into an act, though it is possible, but it's great fun adding it to the FX of the mixer and amp. I don't think that I'd add it to a multiple pedal lineup, as today's pedals weren't designed for tube amps. But as a base for a straight old style rock sound, it offers a lot for the price in a simple package.Fringewood
This thing sounds terrific but has one major design flaw. For the money? A bargain. I wanted a modular cab simulator to quickly dial in big amp sounds in a small work area. It sounds awesome in and of itself, BUT: you can't turn off the speaker simulation. What this means is that you can't insert an effects loop the way you could in a real preamp before the speaker. Your effects all have to go in front of the GDI21 or after the speaker simulation – NOT in between the way you would with an amp with an effects loop. I suppose it would be a lot cheaper to add a button that turns off the speaker simulation than to install a physical effects send and return jack in a unit like this. It may be a good candidate to try modding! For practical use as is: this is an amp simulator that can be recorded or used as an heavy 2nd virtual speaker for a live setup with a line splitter. I haven't tried recording with it yet, but it sounds pretty sublime through my studio headphones and monitors. You just have to be aware that it has a very different sound if you try to affect it, as all your modulation, time-based effects, etc. will also process the sound of the simulated speaker and mic placement.Eddie
Took a chance and pulled the trigger on this little number for use in my home studio. I wanted something simpler than the pile of multi-effect units i have to reprogram every time i want to put down some tracks. This unit has excellent hi-gain amp emulations and take effects well (compressor, modulation, and echo IN; reverb OUT in the chain), and plugs directly into my tape deck, no muss, no fuss. as I use it for recording purposes, i can't attest to its utility and durability on live gigs: the plastic case might not be up to getting bashed around. For a few bucks more, I can't see how the makers can't put the guts in a tough cast aluminum casing.wrightj2p3g

It arrived a few days ago from MF. I want to highlight what I like about it without repeating the contents of its manual. Bottom line, for my usage replacing a Fender black panel Deluxe, a spring reverb, and a Tube Screamer, it is excellent. I am using the Vibro King amp model for most of my tweaking, but I also set up the Twin Reverb (super clean), Super Reverb, and Marshall JCM800 (crunch even with the guitar volume relatively low). The Twin model would not distort without a boost included in the "scene" even with my guitar and the model volumes at 10. That was the one anomaly from my expectations. I like the Vibro King model, amplified by my QSC CP8 (on the floor, on its side, backside EQ set to floor monitor), and do not prefer my now sold Tone Master Deluxe. The first thing I did was download the 2022-10-31 Firmware update and install it. Instructions to put the pedal in "DFU" mode to accept the update were missing. A YouTube video found via Google explained to hold both foot switches while powering up. Next, I installed the main NuX App for my Mac. I disabled the third "scene" such that the "scene foot switch" becomes a "scene" toggle (one cleaner, one with the Tube Screamer engaged, both with spring reverb). I then went through the amp models I planned to use (two "scenes" each, which must be done individually) and set all the controls to 12 o'clock. I tweaked the amp, spring reverb, and Tube Screamer to taste. I now have three ways to boost for an overdriven solo starting with the Vibro King as my clean base: turn up the guitar, foot switch to the Tube Screamer "scene", or foot switch to the JCM800 amp model. I explain all this detail because it took about an hour and without this work the pedal is disappointing. The software was almost easy enough to use without the nonexistent manuals (to do it again it would take much less time). Once done, everything can be adjusted via the knobs and optionally saved with the left foot switch. No menus to navigate at a gig. You can see in the pictures that it is quite small (Tube Screamer for reference), weighs exactly 1 lb. (less than that Tube Screamer), and draws only 3 watts. Leaving it run over night only gets it to room temperature. My old HX Stomp would have been hot to the touch and required a 20-watt power supply. Is it a Universal Audio quality Twin Reverb, Super Reverb, JCM800, or Vibro King modeler? Impossible for me to know. But for what I want, a classic black panel 60s Fender amp tone, spring reverb, and foot switchable Tube Screamer, it is a complete solution in a small package. No aspect of IO is missing (XLR, USB-C, ¼", 3.5mm, MIDI over USB). It also has an effects loop, graphic EQ, all the usual reverb types, 1024 IR loader, a selection of boost/overdrive/compression pedal models, and a noise gate which I've not tried. If one of the amp models is acceptably flat response you could use its 1024 IR loader, reverb collection, and compressor collection for your acoustic guitar too. Wow! What's missing? For my usage a master volume not associated or saved with an amp model "scene" would be nice. It does make a click when switching amp models or "scenes". I recently replaced a 5 watt Roland cube street with the more powerful cube street EX. I was disappointed that the EX did not come with Roland JC setting. The clean setting on the EX produced a sterile, cold sound that I warmed up nicely with the Behringer tube modeler. This was my only reason for purchasing this pedal. I have occasional use for a battery operated amp and this pedal allows me to get the warm tones that I require.Richard
Case is plastic to evidently help with cost. With the cost of musical equipment any help is great. I take very good care of equipment so I do not "stomp" on them. Pedal has quality sounds that seem to work within relm of eq'ing. This pedal has it's own drive built in although a bit sensitive. Take your time and you can dial in some quality tones and sounds. I play lots of various music ranging from southern, blues and Christian rock and have been able to fine something nice that works with each style or genre. Again the pedal controls seem a little sensitive so take your time when you start with the pedal. I enjoy expermiemting so this facet is a-ok by me. Over all good pedal.Bo L.
I've had the pedal a couple weeks now and I am more familiar with it. I may have written a previous review so this might be an update… I purchased this pedal for the few times I would have to play on others' amps that don't have any effects as I already have two very good modeling amps. It works great on the modeling amps with the clean channels selected. Recently I bought a Fender Blues Jr which has no effects. I am in a small space where you really can't crank up the volume. To cut to the chase, the TM300 can stand toe to toe with either of my modeling amps, either plugged into them or the Blues Jr. In the modeling amps it provides more clean voices than the amps do without a lot of fiddling. You can also use the distortion/overdrive features instead of the amps' native on-board features if you wish. It is very intuitive and if you take the time to play with it you can come up with some very interesting combinations. I have a Les Paul Custom and a Fender Strat. And though both have upgraded pickups I couldn't quite get the sounds I wanted. The LP was a little too jazz-like and muddy when played in distortion thru the amps. The Strat was just tinny and quacky. I was considering changing out the pickups in both a second time. The TM300 breathed new life into my LP. I can now dial in the sound I want without having the change the pickups. The Strat has a richer fuller sound when I want and the quack when I want. I got this one simply because it was cheap and I just wanted to play around. Venti cinco dolares? Are you kidding me??? The only drawbacks are: 1) It has a plastic housing. It's not heavy duty like a Boss. 2) If you use 9V batteries you have to take the stomper off the change them. A minor annoyance. 3) If you use batteries you have to be careful to unplug the unit after use or it will burn thru your battery in less than a day. Or you will have to buy a 9V adapter. BUT… If you don't want power cables and like to keep things neater, the battery option will help and will also make it more portable as you don't have to pack a power cable if you go anywhere with it. This is my 3rd Behringer pedal, and though not the best in the world I own 3 for 75 buckaroos… less than the price of one professional pedal. For an amateur they work fine and can help a newbie find out what they like and need in pedals without a lot of financial pain.

great value; plenty volume on tap; treble and bass very usable; does color tone a bit but in a good thick way; less bass helps clear up the sound a bit. with small toggle switch in down pos perhaps a little more transparent and with toggle up adds a little more girth to the tone. flat response with vol around 1 o'clock, gain at 7 o'clock, bass at around 10 o'clock and treble around 3 o'clock (at least with my circuit…); gain begins to gets very "gainy" adding significant volume at around 10 o'clock and from will continue to increase to an extreme full tone slightly mid scooped distortion. not designed to be a big bumble bee crackly fuzz but like its label states an "overdrive" and will defiantly push your amp into breakup from mild to extreme.baycman
This pedal has gotta be one of the most underrated OD pedals out there…. especially given its price point. I have A,B'd this thing against modded BD-2s, modded OD-3's, and the SD-1W and the Mojomojo is just bigger and less tinty. I dont want it to be, but it is. It is a wonderful sounding OD and is great for OD rhythm sounds. It is in the cranked Marshall class of OD's so not to be confused with the green OD pedal. The only area that some of my modded ODs beat it in is sustain. It does tail off on lead stuff sooner than some more expensive pedals. That is the only area that it doesn't win though. You can also use this as an always on boost as well. All in all this thing always seems to knock more expensive pedals off my board time and time again. Highly recommend this pedal and at it's price point it should be in all OD aficionados collection.KL
I use the MojoMojo on my Fender G-DEC Junior and it helps to make the amp sound warmer, richer and fuller. The MojoMojo when dialed in right adds a very slight and suttle low mid thickness, hard to explain. I find its not a "set it and forget it" type of pedal (i.e. Tube screamer), for each amp setting I have to dial it in or it will sound muddy but with a little tweaking between the amp settings and the pedal settings (usually level settings rather than tone knobs) I can get them matched tonally and sonically, bass tone knob is usually set pretty low. I use low output humbuckers and it works great with these. I can get nice overdrive without changing the amps overall characteristic sound.

Sound: OK, so the pre-set programs are hit and miss for me. But that had to be expected, as I am not plugging a guitar into it, but rather a Korg RK100-S2 keytar. For obvious reasons, the cleaner patches, and patches designed around arpeggios sound decent, while the shredding metal patches sound like ass. I'm sure they would both sound good if I was hooked up with an actual 6 string. Features: The most useful feature as far as I'm concerned, are all of those knobs all over the front of the unit. They make it so easy to dial in the sound. Especially when compared to the all digital products like the GT-1. I had a GT-1B last year, and it was aggravating to modify sounds on the fly. The other most useful feature is the Tone Central app. OMG!!! Last month, I trashed Korg's design decision in their app for modifying the keytar's sounds. The window can't be resized, the lines of text are nearly microscopic, it isn't REMOTELY intuitive to figure out how to re-write the patches. Boss' Tone Central app is the EXACT OPPOSITE of all of that. Full screen, each effect section is on screen alone and has 3 different ways to modify the settings. Get things the way you want, name your patch, and click "write," then choose where you want it saved, and click "OK." It couldn't be simpler. Ease of Use: If the preset patches are hit and miss, the "manual mode" is why I bought this board. The keytar really needs some effects to come alive. This board is simply a placeholder until I can build a quality keytar/synth specific pedal board. Compression, delay, and/or phasers can add a lot of depth to my sound depending on what I'm currently using. Those dials make it super easy to get the sound right quickly. It does sort of suck that they are on the floor, but how could that have been avoided without bluetooth and a phone app? And, if that was the case, I wouldn't have bought it in the first place! Quality: I bought this "blemished." My guess, based on the condition of the box that the factory shipped to zZounds, is that this took a fall off of a shelf in the warehouse. One end of the box was mangled badly! Thanks to Boss' attention to detail in packaging, and legendary build quality, I got this product without a scuff, scratch, or dent for 20% off. I like that build quality. (Feel free to play football with some of those synth specific stomp boxes guys! *wink-wink*) Value: Before my fretting hand got too badly damaged to play bass anymore, I wanted the bass version of this product. I believe that it was discontinued, and I missed my chance. I got the GT-1B but didn't like working with it. When I saw that this was available, I didn't hesitate to put it into my cart. Only then, after the fact, did I realize that it was in "blemished" condition. I almost went back and put a new, full priced one in my cart simply because I didn't want the hassle of potentially returning a broken product. So, yes, I do believe this is worth the normal retail price. Manufacturer Support: In the 12 years I've been playing, I've owned several Boss products from tuners to metronomes to multi effects pedals and I have NEVER had to reach out for support. In my estimation, that's the BEST form of customer service! The Wow Factor: G.A.S.! I can't play guitar a lick. But I've bought guitars in the past simply to hang them on the wall. I can't say that I would ever buy THIS product if I didn't need it. But I'm sure that it will still find some place in my home studio, even after the actual pedal board is complete Overall: An easy recommendation for the guitarist on a budget. Depending on one's needs, stomp boxes and pedal boards can become quite pricey. Between this, the Tone Central app, and the hundreds of additional patches available there, if you can't get the sound you're looking for, the problem lies mostly with you.
I have been buying and selling multi effects for many years. I loved them all, even the silly ones such as the RP50, 505, ME30..too many. I guess my favorites were the Korg AX3000G(which I thought was ahead of its time) and the Digitech RP500(awesome reverbs, mods and filters),and even some Pods for their amp sims too. Yes yes.. they all had their short comings in different avenues.. Boss reliability is were a part of Ny early playing days since the 80s..and to this day, I use Boss single pedals almost exclusively as my main rig. I just love the simplicity of their individual pedals and this unit is the only one that comes close in terms of the logic of its settings. I love KNOBS, and the ME80 has plenty to go around with. SIMPLICITY is the key . No more scrolling up n down a screen on the floor which I can hardly see. Now is the ME80 the best sounding multi-effect out there? No sir! With all the current technologies which can produce units such as The Kemper, Fractals, Boss GT1000, and other high res IR capable units from Zoom and Line 6(including some very capable Chinese newcomers), the ME80 can be seen as kind of outdated to some, The ME80 is certainly not what the top guns use these days, especially when occupying an arena concert stages I'm sure(but I bet they still use one or two boss pedals in their rig lol)..Also, Let's not forget that the ME80 initial introduction day to the world was just about eight years ago.. shall we? But guess what, it's still alive and kicking! And that is exactly why you still see it here for sake in 2022 ar least until Boss comes out with some new monster that can handle the GT1000 chipsets and adding more KNOBS to its chassis. The ME80 is gorgeous, it sounds good, and it has a personality. It also has more to offer than its predecessors such as the ME50/70..I mean, the addition of a separate footswitch for reverb,EQ and a simple patch recall?? I would recommend this unit for any small club or a tight rehearsal space for a quick setup and a speedy wrap-up after a show, when it's finally time to go home, no patch cables required.I AM KEEPING THIS ONE FOR MYSELF! Till I get to warm up for Bruno Mars(not happening soon lol),My main Boss rig is staying home, and that goes to my crybaby and the Budda volume pedal with all them patch cables entourage.James
I don't want to program guitar effects. I don't want to read cheesy names for effects that I can't immediately recognize or understand. The young people like that stuff but I am old and old school. The ME-80 gives me my old stomp boxes but grouped on a modern platform. It is basically foot pedal controlled with a very nice expression pedal and 8 on-off pedals. The foot pedals work flawlessly. But the thing that makes this unit awesome is the knobs. You can turn a knob, set a value and get instant feedback on what you did and look at it anytime to see what it is set at. If you know stomp boxes then you know exactly how this thing works. It has by my estimation about $4K worth of stomp box effects and amp emulations. Whether you want an old Tube Screamer or a Big Muff Fuzz. This thing has it. And it has many new stomp box effects like the amazing Tera Echo, Harmonist, Freeze and a Looper. It has just about every effect you could want and you can play multiple effects at the same time. As far as I am concerned this is the greatest thing since sliced bread. And I am an original POD user. I still plug into the POD now and then. But the POD is history. The ME-80 is what I like today. I even commissioned a guy to build me an angled stand to boost up the knobs and pedal to make it easier for me to dial in changes. I had it painted orange to match my Orange Crush 35RT amp where I port the ME-80 output. Lastly, if you insist on being a programmer, they let you do that as well and offer a ton of presets online. You can hook up by USB to your computer and program away. Brilliant. The one down side… you have to buy an AC/DC adaptor for $30 or use up a lot of batteries. Well since I figure that I saved over $3,600 compared to the cost of all these effects bought stand-alone, I happily coughed up the $30.Brianne

I used to think that boost pedals were dumb and that I would never use one. But after watching dozens of videos and seeing several big name endorsements, I thought that the Spark might be for real, and it is now EASILY my favorite pedal. Simply put, it just makes your tone better, no matter what kind of guitar or pickups you run through it. The sound quality and versatility are the best features. It gives you a great boost, but it's extremely amp-like, in the same way that clean channels on good tube amps break up if you crank the gain. And the little toggle switch gives you three different "clean channels" with which to work. The middle position has the most clean headroom and is the classic boost, but still breaks up a little if you max the gain. The Mid and Fat sounds add beef to your tone in fantastic ways, and I use those most often. Do you think that single-coils and/or jazz box guitars sound thin compared to solidbodies with humbuckers, like me? The Mid and Fat settings will fix that for ya. I love my Strats and my jazz guitars so much more now. Turn up the gain and the Mid and Fat settings will give you a great overdrive too. The best part about cranking the gain on the Spark is how well it makes your sound hit tube amps. It gives you glorious saturation at any volume level. This is the perfect pedal to put first in your drive section. Your other drive pedals will greatly benefit as well. Worried about tone? This is the most transparent pedal I've ever used, even more so than TC's other drive pedals (which I also love). The two EQ controls are fantastic and give the pedal a huge advantage over nearly every other boost pedal. Whether fully down or cranked, you get usable sounds in great frequency ranges. Simply put, this is the best pedal I've ever heard. Having volume AND gain, plus two great EQ controls, plus THREE voices to choose from puts this pedal above every other boost on the market. Another drive/boost pedal. The ability to switch between fat/clean/mid modes is a nice feature. Separate bass and treble is handy too to sculpt the tone. Took a bit of a flyer on this as I sort of have an end result in my head and im not entirely sure how to get there. i have a hybrid amp that has a touch of valve harmonics that im trying to exagerate. this is a step in the right direction (and with some fiddling might even be the thing) i think what i was expecting was more like a compressor, but this is more or a transparent drive type effect (at least with my amp). however it is first drive pedal that ive loved without faffing about with the dials for hours. am getting nice bluesy /seventies blues rock tones using the clean setting on the toggle, and the gain about midway. the fat setting starts pushing into proper overdriven sounds, but with a nice natural tone. so despite not being exactly what i was looking for (my fault) im really pleased with this pedal. so much so i might gift one to my kid. theres a tiny bit of noise when the level knob goes up high, but i get much the same from my SD1 so either its just the nature of the beast, or my set upReviewed by guitarguitar custome

A tiny pedal with a loud bark, the tc electronic spark mini booster can provide up to 20db of clean boosted power. whether you want to kick it on periodically for some extra punch or leave it on all the time as a tone booster the spark mini can prove useful in many playing situations regardless of genre. because of its diminutive footprint the spark mini can be easily placed in any open space on your board. if you want to add more gain to your sound put the spark mini at the beginning of your signal chain to drive your pedals and amp harder. some guitarists have an always on boost in this configuration to impart some grit on their tone. if you want to just boost your overall volume stick the spark mini at the end of your signal chain either after all of your pedals or in your amp's effects loop. should you for whatever reason want to disengage the spark mini the true bypass switching ensures that the circuitry in the pedal won't affect your tone while disengaged.

I wanted a button to make me louder for solos etc. and this does exactly that without changing tone. Brilliantly simple: set how much volume jump you want and that’s it, I don’t think I have had the dial past 25% so far. The ‘latching’ function of the foot switch is a great idea. Initially intended to buy an Xotic EP Booster because I wanted to try the Echoplex thing out, but saw this little guy and figured…why not? I like it so much, I don't see the point in ordering the EP Booster anymore! Hits the front end of my Soldano in a way no overdrive has yet, and with no noise. Works equally well in front of my OCD pedal for a lead boost. And to all the people whining about the switch not clicking…whatever. I like that about the TC stuff and wish all pedal companies would make their switches "clickless". Great value, just buy it already! Thanks TC and Sweetwater!
This pedal does exactly what it claims and does it better than other pedals of the same purpose. It is constructed extremely well. For around $50 this pedal's physical casing and switch assembly is made better than pedals I own costing hundreds of dollars more. I don't foresee this pedal ever needing replacement or repair. I'm not particularly fond of the "momentary volume boost" feature but that doesn't change my overall opinion. It's a great item.ethan1957
