Reviews:
The Marshall Code amp series is an incredible value in itself- the modelling in the amp can accurately simulate Marshall's entire line of equipment. The side effect of all of these features is settings overload- switching settings around from the amp or your phone/tablet can be hard to do on the fly. The amps come with a basic "up and down" foot switch, but this upgraded model lets you use all of the settings on the amp like effects pedals. You can set banks of sounds, turn on/off features of the sound easily through the use of presets. The result is a setup that's almost as if you hired Pete Cornish to make a custom MIDI pedalboard for you. Great upgrade, especially if you have the Code 100H head.Fritzo
The app is great for setting up the presets on the amp or for playing at home but if you have a code and you want to play in front of people you need this to be able to change presets or effects easily. This is easy to use and quite flexible. It works in two modes: In preset mode you can put any 3 presets on the amp in the same bank next to each other for easy switching (and you can have up to 10 banks that are relatively to swap between). For example you can have any acoustic simulator, clean and overdriven presets right next to each other. By depressing (with foot) button 1,3 together the mode of the unit changes and you can individually switch on/off effects that are in the currently selected preset e.g. switch on/off reverb, chorus or a boost pedal etc. To revert back to preset mode you just press the bank button.AndrewL
i got this pedal to control my code 25 watt amp for a live application. the pedal works fine once i figured out how to program it. not too fond of the bank switch mode as you have to push it to go up and hold it to go down. not the best in a live situation but works fine. lots of channels to store presets for different songs and that's pretty cool. a problem with the code amps is that if you use different amps in your presets like a jcm 800 on switch 1 and a jubilee on switch 2 there is a tiny drop out when you switch presets. kind of sucks for playing live. shame on Marshall for this. my behringer v-amp did the same thing and i can expect something like that from them but not from Marshall. so as long as you use the same amp like a jcm800 on switches 1,2, and 3, with different settings gain, tone, effects etc there will be no drop out. pedal works fine though. easy to read the channel and preset which is nicekenny

Reviews:
Bought this AB/Y pedal to allow me to use both my guitar amps…..Fender 68 Custom Princeton Reverb and Blues Jr. NOS (Tweed). I waffled back and forth between Morley, the Fender, and a more expensive one with lift, ground, etc. switches. I figured for the price (it was on sale after Thanksgiving) it would be noisy, hum, etc. but it's dead quiet and works EXACTLY as advertised. Years ago, I'd use my two Black face Fender Deluxe Reverbs by going out of the #2 input on the 1st amp and then go to the second Deluxe Reverb input #1, but you always had both amps on and the second one had to be set at a higher volume due to the #2 output being attenuated. This AB/Y pedal allows switching from one amp to the other, or having both on. Haven't tried using it with one amp and two guitars (the other option for the pedal's use). Get one if you've got two amps and want to use both!!64 Tele

Reviews:
I recently replaced a 5 watt Roland cube street with the more powerful cube street EX. I was disappointed that the EX did not come with Roland JC setting. The clean setting on the EX produced a sterile, cold sound that I warmed up nicely with the Behringer tube modeler. This was my only reason for purchasing this pedal. I have occasional use for a battery operated amp and this pedal allows me to get the warm tones that I require.Richard
Case is plastic to evidently help with cost. With the cost of musical equipment any help is great. I take very good care of equipment so I do not "stomp" on them. Pedal has quality sounds that seem to work within relm of eq'ing. This pedal has it's own drive built in although a bit sensitive. Take your time and you can dial in some quality tones and sounds. I play lots of various music ranging from southern, blues and Christian rock and have been able to fine something nice that works with each style or genre. Again the pedal controls seem a little sensitive so take your time when you start with the pedal. I enjoy expermiemting so this facet is a-ok by me. Over all good pedal.Bo L.
I've had the pedal a couple weeks now and I am more familiar with it. I may have written a previous review so this might be an update… I purchased this pedal for the few times I would have to play on others' amps that don't have any effects as I already have two very good modeling amps. It works great on the modeling amps with the clean channels selected. Recently I bought a Fender Blues Jr which has no effects. I am in a small space where you really can't crank up the volume. To cut to the chase, the TM300 can stand toe to toe with either of my modeling amps, either plugged into them or the Blues Jr. In the modeling amps it provides more clean voices than the amps do without a lot of fiddling. You can also use the distortion/overdrive features instead of the amps' native on-board features if you wish. It is very intuitive and if you take the time to play with it you can come up with some very interesting combinations. I have a Les Paul Custom and a Fender Strat. And though both have upgraded pickups I couldn't quite get the sounds I wanted. The LP was a little too jazz-like and muddy when played in distortion thru the amps. The Strat was just tinny and quacky. I was considering changing out the pickups in both a second time. The TM300 breathed new life into my LP. I can now dial in the sound I want without having the change the pickups. The Strat has a richer fuller sound when I want and the quack when I want. I got this one simply because it was cheap and I just wanted to play around. Venti cinco dolares? Are you kidding me??? The only drawbacks are: 1) It has a plastic housing. It's not heavy duty like a Boss. 2) If you use 9V batteries you have to take the stomper off the change them. A minor annoyance. 3) If you use batteries you have to be careful to unplug the unit after use or it will burn thru your battery in less than a day. Or you will have to buy a 9V adapter. BUT… If you don't want power cables and like to keep things neater, the battery option will help and will also make it more portable as you don't have to pack a power cable if you go anywhere with it. This is my 3rd Behringer pedal, and though not the best in the world I own 3 for 75 buckaroos… less than the price of one professional pedal. For an amateur they work fine and can help a newbie find out what they like and need in pedals without a lot of financial pain.

Reviews:
If you are looking for a good practice amp modeler that is compact and has quite an array of effects and amps than the Pocket Pod should do the trick. I gig regularly and felt the Pocket Pod would be ideal for gigs where I didn't want to haul my tube amp around. Sound wise I'm not disappointed in hooking my pocket pod up to a sound board. However, where this product ultimately fails is there is NO On/Off switch! To activate the pod you plug your guitar directly into the input jack and it comes on. Once on you pretty much have to leave the guitar plugged in for your entire set or risk getting a loud pop through the PA system. And leaving the pod plugged in makes the pod get very warm and drains your batteries. I have a circuit breaker guitar cable so I can switch guitars without getting the dreaded pop in the PA system. I'm sure the people at Line 6 cut out the On/Off feature to save room. But I've never seen any piece of equipment that can't be turned off with a button. Satisfactory sounds but more headaches than it's worth for gigging musicians.O'neil Blues
Its great i love how it has all kinds of sffects and i can use both my guitar and phone as i play along. Great for portable playing so i dont have to bring the big head amp everywhere i want to take my guitar. Also the battery life is amazing if there's a new version of this i would so buy it.Hector

I picked this up at the Guitar Center in Boston while I was staying there for my guitar sessions camp at the Berklee College of Music…and I do not regret that decision. If you want to play Livin' on a Prayer, Man in the Box, Beverly Hills or anything else like that, this is a must!!John
I bought this for my sons band and was pleasantly surprised at the quality feel of this unit. It is very easy to set up and use,has a good sound, and seems way more intuitive to use than a wah pedal for musical expression. I expect we will see many years of service out of this piece of equipment. Having the patch cables come with it for the same price as everyone elses listing was also a nice value.novoiceofreasontoday
I boulght the heil talk box in december not knowing about these. It turned out, you need another rig to hook it it up. Its basicaly a speaker cabinet. Worked awsome but hated the second amp. The danalectro had an exelent concept with mic input to amp direct ( first of its kind )But is very underpowered.Basicaly a toy.I returned it.The banshee has poor construction, a folded over piece of aluminum with steel sides crudley bolted on, leaking sound evrywhere. I purchased the mxr today and just tested it….. It has PLENTY of volume,, ( 18 volt power )I only needed 4 on the volume,, however if you wish you con rattle your teeth ( no joke )with this bad boy !! It has a VERY solid , heavy, and compact design, taking a minamal amount of space for such a great effect, also the instructions are very helpfull in breaking down the alphabet into different categories, and explainig how to pronounce them correctly, resulting in true guitar speach. The heil has an light thing you screw on,, yet there is no light in the unit???? Didnt make sense tome, maybe i didnt buy the light, or wire it in ? However, turn the mxr on, the led comes on and you know your hot.So basicaly,, its the real deal with a coulple of improvements, the volume, tone, and gain controlls reaaly expand upon the original concept, no amp needed, led refenc light for operation, very rugged enclosed constuction, and well… it just looks cool as ,,, you know. Hope this helps !Scott Jones Productions

7. Victory V4 The Sheriff Preamp Pedal
Product Details:
Very light use, many great tones in a box (of tubes)the new victory v4 series pedal preamps are serious tools for the modern musician! this version is based on the popular "sheriff" circuit, which gives you classic and "hot rodded" british flavored tones. the v4 pedal preamp is no ordinary overdrive, it boasts a set of a 4 tubes, including a trio of new old stock mullard cv4014 tubes and a single ec900 for the first gain stage. the pedal features 2 channels to bring you a range of tones from the edge of breakup to saturated hot-rod tones with impressive midrange punch. it also features a bright switch and powerful 3 band eq.
Specifications:
Operating Voltage | 12 V |
Weight | 3.6 lbs |

Depth | 5.5" |
Height | 3.1" |
Reviews:
It's very well-engineered in build quality – quieter at high gain than most, but…the LEDs are too bright (on a dark stage you can't see beyond them to the controls), the 4 wiring option cuts out the amp reverb (Fender Supersonic) when the V4 is kicked in, and although Channel 2 is good for solo's the Ch1 is a bit fizzy for crunch. Overall disappointing, and does not sound as good to me as my HT Dual pedal made by a certain company from Northampton.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Initially I struggled to find a sound that I liked from this pre-amp, probably because I am not a great Marshall fan but I persevered and by knocking back the mids a bit and playing with the bright switch, I eventually found the sound I was looking for. I am using this in a 4-cable configuration with a V4 'The Jack' amp, which is itself a fantastic piece of kit.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Very well built. Overall sounds excellent with some issues. Single set of tone controls doesn't work well as the 2 channels are distinctly different. Doesn't do clean well at lower gain; you need plenty of headroom and it then cleans up OK. Will probably need a clean preamp of some sort to switch to for clean. Noticeable audio pop when switching channels. If you want that Plexi-type sound this will do the trick.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Reviews:
I purchased this to use with my Dual Amp Wet/Dry rig and it works very well. I only have two slight gripes. 1. The tuner out is pointless for me. I DO like the option but I use my tuner pedal to defeat my entire signal and this doesn't allow that. However I figured this was the case going in so no point off. As an added bonus, I can use the tuner out port to record a DI signal, so this ended up being useful after all. 2. A few reviewers have said there is signal degredation(loss of treble) when using both channels. The specs for the switchblade+ state that when both outputs are used, the output impedence is halved, so I didn't think it would be an issue. Lo, and Behold, there is some loss. It is barely noticeable but it IS noticeable. This could probably be fixed with a little EQ adjustment, but I tried a Buffer right befroe the Switchblade+ and it worked wonderfully. Luckily I have had no phase or isolation issues and I have had no signal bleed as a few others have stated. Overall I am glad I got this and it works exactly how I need it too.Eric
The main reason I purchased this pedal was for the way the switches are set up. The Switchblade plus has the A/B switch on the LEFT side of pedal where as 99% of all ABY pedals out there the A/B switch is on the RIGHT. The way my pedal board is set up I need that A/B switch on the left. I use this pedal to switch between 2 amps from 1 pedal board. All my pedal effects go into the input of Switchblade plus, then out A goes to amp 1, out B goes into a looper pedal then out to amp 2. So I can send live loops to a separate amp. EHX makes great products in the USA. Buy this instead of a Morley.johnny laundry
At first I was really concerned because the LEDs came on any time you put your guitar in the input. This means if you're running on batteries it's nearly impossible to run anything in front of this pedal without the LEDs on 24/7. The solution: Run on AC power all the time, get a receptacle switch, and cut the power when you're done playing. BTW running on AC also causes the LEDs to stay on all the time so it's necessary to cut the power when you're done. This thing can also operate without batteries but you lose the LEDs. Problem #2: When plugged in, my tuner (D'Addario CT-20) made an electrical sound. Just because of the nature of how the Switchblade+ is made, there's nothing to mute. You still hear the tuner, and in my case there was some accompanying noise. Solution: Run the tuner behind A or B in the first spot. This allows you to mute everything behind it as it should. Problem 3: I can hear noise from my Boost pedal (TC Electronic Spark) on from A when I'm on B. This is annoying but what can you do. This is why boost pedals go up to $300 and why this one was under $60. Also red light is A and the green light is B because that mAkeS sEnSe. Other than all that, this thing's alright. It does it's job and while I'm not entirely unsatisfied it's definitely not a five starer.oxedus

Reviews:
First of all I should to say that I have had play experience only with amp sims before so that this review is written impressed by difference between digital and analogue worlds. Build quality and appearance are certainly on high level. Knobs turns smoothly bright switcher has no excessive play and that also applies to other components. The Kraken has great weight (comparing with usual pedals) and looks solid. As Boris The Blade used to say Heavy is good, Heavy is reliable. If it doesn't work you can always hit them with it. Now I'll tell about minor negative thing. I was having high-pitched continuous beep after some time of work when I plugged it to multi-power supply (12V 1000mA and with isolated outputs claimed by the manufacturer). I had to switch to kraken's power supply so now it's ok. I think it's probably more problem with multi-power supply. Ok let's talk about the most important thing it is SOUND. My rig includes Clean Booster -> Overdrive pedal -> The Kraken -> Audio Interface -> Wall of Sound. In general it allows me to reach my purpose to get high gain sound for metal tones on red chanel. Maybe with 4 cable method connection with real amp it works better but in standalone mode it still needs some boosted impulse from pre-overdrive if you want to get tight punchy rithm to play with palm mute. So I wouldnt consider it as extremely high gain sound. But it doesn't diminish the greate tone of the Kraken at all it still does most of work of creating tone. I used it togheter with Kraken 412 speaker simulation and it works very well. Regarding sound itself comparing with amp simulators it is on couple levels above. I don't know how to explain, it feels more musical, touch sensetive, clear without mud and some noisy unmusical high frequensies that I get on sims. I can play for hours and I don't get earn fatigue. My ass and left leg get tired faster. And litteraly yesterday before I started write this review I discovered how amazing sounds natural harmonics. You can produce it on the several strings simulteniously e.g. and I don't know how to properly explain this feeling but at this moment you clearly understand that it works just as nature intended. By the way string difinition is also fantastic. Speaking of how it works with extended range guitars. I use 8 string guitar in standart tuning and it still sounds very well. Maybe it looses a bit to big brother but with proper cab you can get tight tone. After digital amps I'm a bit shocked and surprised. And I think that proper IR makes about 30% percent of work if not more. All in all I would strongly recommend it for those who are tired of amp sims and looking for better sound for playing in bedroom.
Awesome valve preamp pedal. So much more than an overdrive/distortion pedal. Running it 4CM with my Boss GT100 and 100W Marshall JCM900. Even my neighbours think it sounds awesome and asked me to crank it up louder so they can hear it in their garden! Highest compliment of all, their teenage son who's a budding guitarist said it sounded sick.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
I added this to my Orange Dark Terror amp and it sounds great. The Dark Terror by itself is amazing, but it only has one channel. This pedal effectively adds two more channels, But I’m not here to talk about the Orange. This preamp pedal gives you all kinds of options from barely breaking up, to screaming, full metal high gain sounds, and even with the gain cranked, keeps individual note definition for extended chords if that’s your thing. I use mine with the amp through mode (connected through the effects loop) and in my opinion, that’s where it really shines. I’ve tried it between guitar and amp like a regular overdrive pedal and it sounds pretty great that way too. The bright switch seems to help dial in the pedal to the amp, but I’ve only tried it with the one amp. I have no complaints at all. Would buy again for sure.lackhand
10. Jhs Switchback Pedal
Product Details:
The jhs pedals switchback is a tiny box with a huge feature set. it began life as a device that jhs designed just for themselves to compare and test pedals around the factory. they soon realized, however that this little box was so useful, it belonged in every guitarist's rig onstage or in the studio. the switchback has one input, one output, and sends/returns for two separate selectable effects loops, plus an a/b controllable by jhs's red remote switching system (available separately). because of the red remote functionality you can place the switchback and any effects in its loops completely out of sight under your pedal board or tucked away in a rack while only having the tiny red remote accessible. the footswitch is true bypass, so when it嚙踝蕭s off, it's not affecting your signal.

12. Nux Ngs-6 Amp Academy Stomp Box Amp Modeler Guitar Effects Pedal
Product Details:
The nux amp academy is a world-class amp modeler. nowadays the amp-less approach is quickly bing a trend for modern musicians, such as guitarists who appreciate a variety of pedals and amps, but don’t have the luxury of a roadie crew to lug all of them around. amp academy inherits the nux tsac-2k (white-box amp modeling) algorithm which delivers the sound and feel of world-class tube amplifiers in a super-portable stomp-box enclosure. and, its huge headroom and dynamic range is a pedal friendly platform.amp academy also features six legendary amp models like vintage (fender twin reverb), classic (fender vibro king), modern (mesa boogie mark i), brown (friedman hbe), red (mesa boogie dual rectifier) and iridium (bogner uberschall). the iconic tsac-2k amp modeling offers a realistic amp feeling with fast playability response. for home studio and silent practice, amp academy’s usb audio stream makes it the swiss army knife of interface capability. connect the usb to pc to record tracks, run plug-ins and even livestream with amp academy.
Reviews:
It arrived a few days ago from MF. I want to highlight what I like about it without repeating the contents of its manual. Bottom line, for my usage replacing a Fender black panel Deluxe, a spring reverb, and a Tube Screamer, it is excellent. I am using the Vibro King amp model for most of my tweaking, but I also set up the Twin Reverb (super clean), Super Reverb, and Marshall JCM800 (crunch even with the guitar volume relatively low). The Twin model would not distort without a boost included in the "scene" even with my guitar and the model volumes at 10. That was the one anomaly from my expectations. I like the Vibro King model, amplified by my QSC CP8 (on the floor, on its side, backside EQ set to floor monitor), and do not prefer my now sold Tone Master Deluxe. The first thing I did was download the 2022-10-31 Firmware update and install it. Instructions to put the pedal in "DFU" mode to accept the update were missing. A YouTube video found via Google explained to hold both foot switches while powering up. Next, I installed the main NuX App for my Mac. I disabled the third "scene" such that the "scene foot switch" becomes a "scene" toggle (one cleaner, one with the Tube Screamer engaged, both with spring reverb). I then went through the amp models I planned to use (two "scenes" each, which must be done individually) and set all the controls to 12 o'clock. I tweaked the amp, spring reverb, and Tube Screamer to taste. I now have three ways to boost for an overdriven solo starting with the Vibro King as my clean base: turn up the guitar, foot switch to the Tube Screamer "scene", or foot switch to the JCM800 amp model. I explain all this detail because it took about an hour and without this work the pedal is disappointing. The software was almost easy enough to use without the nonexistent manuals (to do it again it would take much less time). Once done, everything can be adjusted via the knobs and optionally saved with the left foot switch. No menus to navigate at a gig. You can see in the pictures that it is quite small (Tube Screamer for reference), weighs exactly 1 lb. (less than that Tube Screamer), and draws only 3 watts. Leaving it run over night only gets it to room temperature. My old HX Stomp would have been hot to the touch and required a 20-watt power supply. Is it a Universal Audio quality Twin Reverb, Super Reverb, JCM800, or Vibro King modeler? Impossible for me to know. But for what I want, a classic black panel 60s Fender amp tone, spring reverb, and foot switchable Tube Screamer, it is a complete solution in a small package. No aspect of IO is missing (XLR, USB-C, ¼", 3.5mm, MIDI over USB). It also has an effects loop, graphic EQ, all the usual reverb types, 1024 IR loader, a selection of boost/overdrive/compression pedal models, and a noise gate which I've not tried. If one of the amp models is acceptably flat response you could use its 1024 IR loader, reverb collection, and compressor collection for your acoustic guitar too. Wow! What's missing? For my usage a master volume not associated or saved with an amp model "scene" would be nice. It does make a click when switching amp models or "scenes". Sometimes when switching amp models there is a noticeable delay.Jon

It’s not what I expected it to be. Only works whit Spark app actively running. I used to play along YouTube backing tracks and favour their native app over pg’s spark app (wherein YouTube is kinda implemented, but not as good as the native app). So there’s little to no use for my style of practicing. I use third party controllers againDennis D.
It is compact, easy to program, easy to reprogram, easy to use with no apparent latency. Holds a charge as advertised. Recharges quickly Making the amp feel like an old school amp with pedals. Makes it easy to program the presets to a song so you can make the changes as you need them. Makes noodling much more inspiring and fun.Phonse J.
I had bought the Spark control. Now it works as advertised and i do find it useful. however there are a few key things that means i wouldn't recommend for others with sparks. #1: The Control doesn't directly connect to the amp. it requires you to have your phone or device with the App on it so if you don't have your phone near you you cant use the Control. #2: You have to be on the app for it to work. I could have put up with the first problem. But to use the Control, You have to be IN the app. you cant just have your phone off or on a different app. It requires you to have the app open and on screen. which is just stupid in my eyes considering i spent $150 AUD on something that wouldn't work unless i had what is neededCameron D.
15. Mxr A/b M196 Box
Product Details:
New in the box, never used-never opened. mxr's m196 a/b box switcher pedal gives you the option to send your single input signal (electric guitar, acoustic guitar, keyboard, etc.) to output a, output b, and throughput. outputs a and b are controlled with the individual footswitch buttons and can be on individually or simultaneously, sending your signal to different amps, as indicated by the leds. (the throughput is always on). power supply, battery, and cables are not included.
Specifications:
Reviews:
Don't be confused about the definitions of input vs output, these jacks can be used for 1 signal in and 2 signals out or 2 signals in and 1 signal out. The instructions only mention connecting one instrument via the "input" jack to 2 amps via the 2 "output" jacks; but, like any A/B box, you can plug 2 instruments into the jacks labeled "output a" and "output b" and a single cable to your amp from the "input" jack. I use it to switch between my fretted and fretless basses with minimal effort. Each foot switch activates its associated pathway individually for an A OR B selection. Activating both foot switches allows for an A AND B combination. 9-volt battery or power supply (not included) allows for visual verification of which channels are active via blue LED lights.Bonejamin
I got this to switch between a Vox and DV Mark guitar amp. Unfortunately the added noise makes this unusable for recording, particularly on the DV Mark. Might be okay for live use, but suggest spending more on better quality for this type of pedal. Unfortunately I realized this after the return period was up and will be selling used.Dan

Reviews:
Each year the strive to emulate that valve amplifier sound at an affordable price is getting closer and with the Catalyst series of amplifiers from Line 6 it's a major step forward, the "A+B" pedal that compliments the amplifier is much more than just a channel select footswitch, its fully programmable, so you can select a setting to suit your playing, I've found it's versatility invaluable on stage, in rehearsals and home practice, fuss free and easy to set up, I highly recommend the Line 6 LFS2 Catalyst Footswitch.Graeme L.
The pedal appears well made with positive switching, it's a shame it can't make more choices but then again it never claimed it could. Once you have two channels dialed in and an effect allocated then it is a similar experience to having a couple of regular pedals at your feet.Andrew M.
Strong construction. Low key aesthetic.Craig K.

Reviews:
As a long-time fan of Boss/Roland brand products, I purchased two Boss AB-2 two-way selector devices. I wanted the added convenience of routing my guitar input signal to a variety of Boss effects pedals (including Boss GT-100, Boss SY-300, Boss RC-50, Boss ME-6B) while allowing alternative signal paths to different amps and/or PA mixer. I’m not a professional musician, just a novice with a simple home recording studio as a hobby. I like the simplicity and ease of use of the AB-2 routers, and the quality that I expect from Boss.
I was looking for an A/B box for my rig to mute and switch to tuner. We were performing at a multi-million $$$ facility and they had one. I asked the engineer if he thought this one was the best and he said yes. I figured they wouldn't have it if it wasn't, so that was good enough for me. Its quiet and ergonomic. It doesn't wobble around like some of the skinny units out there. I'm happy!raygunriot
