Initially intended to buy an Xotic EP Booster because I wanted to try the Echoplex thing out, but saw this little guy and figured…why not? I like it so much, I don't see the point in ordering the EP Booster anymore! Hits the front end of my Soldano in a way no overdrive has yet, and with no noise. Works equally well in front of my OCD pedal for a lead boost. And to all the people whining about the switch not clicking…whatever. I like that about the TC stuff and wish all pedal companies would make their switches "clickless". Great value, just buy it already! Thanks TC and Sweetwater!
This pedal does exactly what it claims and does it better than other pedals of the same purpose. It is constructed extremely well. For around $50 this pedal's physical casing and switch assembly is made better than pedals I own costing hundreds of dollars more. I don't foresee this pedal ever needing replacement or repair. Overall: I have more overdrive pedals then I realistically need but my selection of distortion pedals has always been disappointing for my taste, just never the right tone regardless of the set up. I figured this pedal wasn’t too much and saw good reviews for the pedal historically. Yes there are differences from the originals to the model we have today but this distortion pedal is ridiculously versatile. The distortion pot is very broad and goes from a subtle O\D to a full faced fuzz and then when you sweep thru the filter, that’s where you see how versatile the Rat truly is. Is this a pedal geared towards the modern metal sound? Probably not. Is this pedal a good product for the price? Absolutely! The ease of use with the three control knobs just makes this pedal a great first buy or for those, like myself, who seemed to keep coming up short with distortion pedals, a truly simple and reliable tank of a stomp box. The Rat pedal is a classic and was my first pedal in 1986 when hi gain amps werent affordable to 15 year old kids. That pedal was mean ! It had the original lm308 chip and gave me the Kill Em All sound I craved. Fast forward to 2020 and the pedal has not changed much. Its mean and can give you fuzz to mean hi gain rhythm and violin line like sustain on leads. For $69.99 it is affordable and awesome. Cons : you cant power this pedal with a standard Boss power supply. Its either buy a Rat power supply/wall wart or run it on batteries. Also, the battery compartment is plastic and not as tank like as the rest of the pedal. The changing of chips does make the pedal lose some of its magic. The new chip is fine but I do miss the lm308 and maybe its hype Im falling for. It likely is. So what can you do ? I sent my pedal of to Utah to be rehoused. The pedal itself is hard to adhere to a pedalboard bc it is so heavy and awkward. So mine is being put in a more pedalboard friendly housing. Also, all the components like in and out jacks etc will be replaced/upgraded as well as some cheap components inside the pedal. You also get the lm308 chip. Hell yeah ! For $150 you get a massively improved pedal. Do you need to do this ? No of course not. But if you want the best Rat pedal youcan get ( which in the new housing also allows being powered by a Boss style power supply via wall wart or pedalboard) then the mod will be a fun way to modify an already smoking pedal.swampdonkey90
This is a great pedal and is very versatile. It can go from an overdriven tube amp tone at low gain settings to very thick heavy distortion/fuzz tone. I like to set the gain low to a nice overdriven tube amp tone and then have my boss SD-1 in front of it pushing the pedal harder. It gives it a nice 80s hair metal, Marshall JCM800 type tone. The tone of the pedal is great and it is very versatile and a good deal. It will stay on my pedal board. The other nice thing is is it's extremely easy to use with just 3 knobs and very easy to find a great tone. When I first got this pedal I didn't like how bright it was but that where the filter knob comes into play and you can roll off the brightness to match the guitar and amp you have and get a great tone. This allows you to play it on bright and dark amps a like. I use it with a Gibson Les Paul standard with burst bucket pro pickups into my 65 reissue fender Princeton reverb and I will also run it into my Boss katana MKii 50 watt. I've had this pedal for about maybe 5 months, great pedal. The best thing to do is to always read your manual because this particular pedal shuts off. That feature is to save you battery power, or just being on too long when you walk away. I hadn't gotten use to that at first. It pays to read the manual to figure out how to do it. But the Selections in where the layout is for the different tones, for rock and roll, blues, heavy metal, and R&B is it great pedal.astringmusic
It' easy to blow an afternoon exploring the wide variety of sounds this pedal can produce. While many of the effects are great there are quite a few duds mixed in there. You just have to play. There doesn't seem to be that much logic as to how the effects are grouped. You really need to write down your favorites. Out of 100 effects I think almost anyone can find 20 that they really like. The Stomplab has some very good patches right out of the box better than most MultiFX units. I rarely get to say that. Since I like to try them all, I think it excels in areas that can outdo expensive pedals. The amps sound really realistic and have beefy snappy mids right in your face with great projection and pop. The tones are designed to sound good as you play with EQ settings the amps seem to stay in the zone of what you would expect an actual amp would do. The best way to really experience this is to plug into a Hi Fidelity home stereo etc. and listen to how detailed the mix is. There is a Tube Screamer that seems to actually enhance just about every amp you try it with when trying to get some edge. The clean amps are some of the best out of the box tube gain style sparkling U2 like rhythms with clearly defined picking separation. This is probably about as good as it gets for these type sounds. Very metal like ballading with chorus and delay. Def Leppard Bringing on the Heartache or Photagraph come off terrific. The crunch sounds are very realistic and the US Hi Gain is about as good as it gets for 80s Metal. I can compare this to the VT Plus series because I have it. This pedal sounds good and really excels with a Tube amp. The VT Plus is a tube hybrid and the 12ax7 single tube does add a touch of edge as it is cranked but the pedal is the same Engine and the edge is subtle and the Tube Screamer SIM sounds close. Any sound can be had and it records from the line out with very good definition. Most of the amp sims are very good with little tweaking and I think it has the most good amp Sims of any other multi fx unit. Has way more variables than the VT Plus amp series and it is one of my favorites for downright realistic amp sounds. Hard to believe it but, it stacks up well against the bigger floorboards in respect to tone alone. More controls on the bigger units sometimes can take you too far off base. It really is well designed and keeps you sounding good.

There is no unity gain on this. Even with the volume maxed it reduces the volume. I guess brown is a good color for it because it is muddy sounding too, lacks clarity and doesn't cut through a mix. I couldn't get a good sound out of it at any setting. Very disappointing distortion.Jonas

i wanted to compare this to my boss hm-2 pedal but i can't get to it at this time, so i'll have to do this by itself. this is a very nice distortion pedal. again the plastic casing is durable and inexpensive ,so you're getting a good pedal for the money.the level and distortion controls are sensitive- i consider a plus. i do wish there was more bass in the in the low frequency control. now you might be asking, "why don't i cut back on the high frequency control?". here's why : the high frequency control appears to be a combination high frequency/gain control! the more you turn it up, the more gain. combined with the sensitive dist/level controls this is a nice feature if you want that. i like it . i can always boost the bass on the amp/EQ/whatever. i like to use different dimensions of distortions and if you are like me ,i recommend this.thurstonnalley
I guess I'm more of a roady/studio guy than I am an artist, as I've always got more out of turning knobs then actually playing music lol. I bought this pedal for one reason and one sound only. The Swedish "chainsaw" guitar tone of the 90's that came out of Sunlight Studios that was popularized by bands like Entombed and Dismembered. I think it sounds incredibly good considering I bought it NEW for 25 bones plus shipping! The distortion is sometimes a bit over the top, but cleans up when you roll back the volume knobs on the guitar. I imagine you could really get some interesting tones going if you paired this pedal with a compressor and eq both before and after it in the signal chain (and with Behringer that's actually an affordable option), and of course, a tube amp, as most of the bands with that sound supposedly used Peavey 5150 tube heads. Very nasty distortion pedal, if you could travel back in time to the 90's you could probably sell this to a metal head for absolutely ridiculous amounts of money. If you are not buying this pedal for a certain "Swedish death metal" sound or just metal in general, I would not recommend this pedal, as there are probably much better pedals out there for what you need. Its made out of plastic which I personally don't mind, as I'm not a touring or gigging musician. If I stomped on it several times a night for half a year I dunno how that would work out. Not a big fan of the color, but then again, I didn't buy this pedal for aesthetic value. This thing is unbelievably excellent. I’m down with serious chunk and couldn’t find a pedal anywhere that tickled my fancy of fatness of tones and clean as a whistle chugging. If you want metal, this will give you the sound you want, the thing has six knobs and they all do great differences in tone and distortion. My mate is a full blown metaller gtar ist and scoffed at me buying this thing. The distortion operation is like MT-2. Sound and operation is similar, But it has differernt knobs for min settings. Distortion levels quickly passes overdrive/crunchy so it it not usable for that. Bass level is not usable after 2 o'clock setting. Treble and mid levels and mid frequency levels change a lot sound. Level setting is use fun if you don't want to load the amps input and cause additional distortion… Battery changing is easy.

At a point several years back I only owned Active Basses, but in the space of two months proceeded to acquire several High-End Basses with Passive Electronics, I was in need for something in my signal chain to raise the output of the Passives to the level of my Active Basses. I took the advice of a close friend who's a true "Professional Bassist" who also knows a great deal about the technical issues of Pedalboards, Large-Scale Amplification and such and picked up the Xotic Bass RC Booster which was the highest-quality he could recommend (I'd rather spend the money once rather than upgrade from a "Beginner's Pedal" to a "Midrange Model" and so on…) That was once of the best pieces of advice I've been given in terms of gear, as to this day the Bass RC Booster is a main piece of equipment on my Pedalboard. Between the 2-Band EQ, Gain & Volume controls I'm able to raise the level of my own Passive Basses or a Bass that I'm using at a Jam or Open Mic to the levels of my Active Bass, which I have all adjusted to Unity Gain as to cause as little issues as possible. Two surprising use of note: with a minimal increase in Volume the Pedal becomes just as useful as a Volume Boost to both Passive & Active Basses for solos, drum 'n bass breakdowns and other times where it's necessary to step out into the spotlight a bit more. Secondly, when the Gain is pushed towards the higher registers you can even can a quite useable "SVT"-type Overdrive. Even players who play with a clean tone will certainly find this added bonus helpful in both live and studio situations. To sum up the Xotic RC Bass Booster, it's an extremely high build-and sonic quality, low noise & versatile Boost effect. Its additional use as a light Overdrive effects is just as effective in its field. I use this often on my Pedalboard, and would replace it immediately if it were lost or stolen. A bit pricey when initially purchasing, it makes up for that as you're buying a Professional Quality effect, and would not have any need to replace with a "better one" a year or so down the road. This is all one would need to cover this area of effects!
I have an Xotic AC Booster and it is one of my fav pedals. At the start of my chain – after the buffer – I have a Compressor, then an old DOD Preamp 250, followed by my AC. I like the sound, but had this setup for a while and was just looking to shake things up. I thought the RC ver 2 would be a great replacement for the DOD as what could be better than 2 xotics in series? Well, not this! The Comp (Wampler Ego; another pedal I like alot) did not play well with the RC. The sound was muddy and lost all definition. The RC alone was OK, but not great. Found the effect of Gain 1 to be pretty darn subtle and really not much better than my old DOD gain pedal. Had to crank RC Gain 1 to full CW to hear much – a very different pedal from the AC which is super responsive. I also found the adjustment for the RC Gain 2 pot to be very awkward for a quick adjustment onstage as is occasionally necessary between songs. So, I was pretty bummed out as I love the AC and I use an Xotic EP booster for regular lead boosts. Just did not work out for me. Hard to decide if I would recommend the RC. Personally, I am very picky about effects, usually use only 2 at most at one time (e.g. Comp + AC; EQ + Delay, etc.) . So I think i would say that I do not recommend…but you may like it.BCY123
I'm surprised at how much I use this pedal. I bought it to boost the signal of passive basses and it does that and a lot more. The EQ points are right where you need them. And because you can preset those as well as the volume, when you switch to a passive bass in the middle of a live performance there is no time wasted fiddling with knobs trying to match the sound of your active bass. Also it's useful as a clean boost on active basses for those times when your hands are busy and you can't adjust your amp in the middle of a song. Just pre-set the pedal to a little boost and any time you need it, you've got it with a quick stomp of the foot. The third use I find for this pedal is with effects. You can use it to put a little boost before any overdrive/distortion pedal it will increase the gain. I love this because I like the sound of the Morning Glory pedal, but it doesn't get quite dirty enough. Most pedals that get as dirty as I want don't sound the way the Morning Glory does so this is perfect for me. And the other way it's useful is to add bottom end to distortion pedals (which are famous for not supporting the low end very well). This line of pedals is a great entry-level/affordable effects option if you want to experiment with new sounds, but it's equally good if you know what you want, and what you want is nothing fancy or bizarre sounding, just some perfectly "standard" effects. And this particular unit is one of the most handy and usable distortion units of the line IMHO. It provides a great range of distortion tones, and most of them perfectly usable/suitable for metal, hard rock, etc. I mean, it's not easy to find a bad setting in this pedal, one that generates a truly disgusting sound (unlike other units… like the ultra metal or the heavy metal… which require some precaution in their knob tweaking). The enclosure is plastic, and replacing the battery is a little bit tricky, but that's very easy to tolerate when you see the price tag. And, It just sounds good to me. I have no complain.

It's a good, simple pedal. Not the greatest but something you can cut your teeth on if you're unfamiliar or uncomfortable with effects pedals. Has a nice chimey almost a touch of flange effect along with the chorus to give it a unique voicing. A little tiny bit noisy but its to be expected of warm analog sound. I find it best to put it in the effects loop on your amp. Doing this quiets it down a bit and takes care of a small volume drop in the pedal. Overall I'm happy with the pedal. It's pretty good. For people who don't know about chorus pedals, this is an equivalent to the MXR Micro chorus, which first came out in 1981. It is a very satisfactory pedal for its type. It made its debut with the 'XO' series of compact Electro Harmonix pedals. This was one of my first pedals; it was the first distortion pedal that I added to my rig. Obviously, you know what you're getting when you see a pedal retail such a low price. That said, I've since added a lot of other pedals to my board and I sometimes come back to this one. It has a great bite and does well on the high end. I don't prefer the low end through this pedal, but I'm yet to use it with a compressor. At the end of the day, it's a fun intro to distortion and the price truly outweighs the cons to this pedal. If you're experienced with effects or if you're interested in playing live, this is not a great option. However, if you like jamming in the garage and you don't mind a bit of high-end feedback when you push it to 11, it's a steal.Mitchell
Recently purchased the Rogue analog delay for my acoustic pedal board when it was on sale and so far really like it. Saw that MF was having a sale on effects and saw the whole Rogue line of pedals on sale for a really REALLY LOW price so I thought what the heck? Before buying this pedal I did read a lot of negative reviews on the Blues Distortion pedal but again for the LOW price I was going for it. What did I have to lose?? I wish I would have listened to the negative reviews, I pretty much agree with them all. Not sure why they would call this pedal a Blues distortion???? Not even close. The only thing I can think of is there is something missing on this one ( and all of the other people who reviewed it) cause it totally missed the mark. Really, really thin with no gain. I liked this one enough to buy a 2nd one. It's a variation on a Blues Breaker. The first one I got cut so much bass I cracked it open and modified the caps in the "t-junction" to let more bass through. This second one I got was voiced more normally. This guy has a nice 'open dynamics' kind of feel to it. Not a ton of compression. It responds very well to picking dynamics. Honestly, it's one of the best, and cheapest, blues breaker clones out there. Its tone is basically 'light crunch' with a lot of low-end and high-end freqs removed. Low gain settings make it a really decent 'always on'/'base tone' kind of pedal for blues. If you want a flat response 'base tone', go elsewhere, like the Plumes or Timmy, but they feel more like modified tubescreamers, so it's a trade-off. Another really good BB clone pedal is the Tone City King of Blues. That one is truly low-gain BB territory, and comes with a Klon clone built into it. This thing is unbelievably excellent. I’m down with serious chunk and couldn’t find a pedal anywhere that tickled my fancy of fatness of tones and clean as a whistle chugging. If you want metal, this will give you the sound you want, the thing has six knobs and they all do great differences in tone and distortion. My mate is a full blown metaller gtar ist and scoffed at me buying this thing. The distortion operation is like MT-2. Sound and operation is similar, But it has differernt knobs for min settings. Distortion levels quickly passes overdrive/crunchy so it it not usable for that. Bass level is not usable after 2 o'clock setting. Treble and mid levels and mid frequency levels change a lot sound. Level setting is use fun if you don't want to load the amps input and cause additional distortion… Battery changing is easy.

Sounds great. Also surprising versatility with the HP/LP settings. One criticism is that its very loud. Slotting in after 2 boosts and an OD, then before a fuzz has played havoc with my gain structure as, with those other pedals operating within normal vol ranges, I've found the volume on the OCD needs to be most of the way down when using drive greater than 12-o-clock which is even more noticeable on the HP setting. I needed something to stack along side of my TS that did not overpower the sound of the other pedal or sound too thick on its own. This pedal sounds fantastic with single coil pickups and pairs extremely well with other OD pedals. I like the fact it can run on either battery, 9V, or 18V AC connections, making this a great choice if you have limited ports on your power supply. On its own, it stands out very well when dialing up the drive settings and it sounds absolutely great coming through a properly dimed tube amplifier. It is no coincidence you see these pedals on the boards of many great professional players… This box just has excellent tone and all their products are handmade in the USA with plenty of care involved–making them a quality purchase. I've owned the Fulltone OCD for just over a week now and I can confidently say it's the best overdrive effects pedal I've ever had the pleasure of using. It has a sturdy build, it's versatile, it retains the original tone and colour of your guitar/amp combo and it's LOUD! I wanted a pedal that would fit compliment my '65 Twin Reverb Reissue amp and Telecaster, I love the tone of my setup but I really needed some bite in the shape of a good overdrive. Overall: Finally got another Whammy V after missing my prior one in a "stupid-sell all-great new multi unit dumb idea". Not sure what to say about this pedal as it would seem of the many vids I have seen on it, I cast doubt if anyone really can understand how to use it without having one for a time. I constantly hear this "weeeeoooo" thing and really that might be of use now and then but what nails this pedal for me is the harmonizer mode section. 8va's and 4ths,5ths, utterly amazing. This is not so much a moving the pedal thing as everyone seems to want to do. Most of th etime mine is parked up or dwn for a specific harmony or maybe a sweep of low to high octave, play a version of Dazed and Confused using this and you may just never be the same. The lowered 5th harmonizer mode on this puppy is probably one of the best all time tones I have ever had the pleasure of playing. A harmonizer, with no set key or scale restriction, polyphonic tracking, true bypass, I'd pay more just for that. The DT model is cool but I am not really doing step tuning variants. Anyway, this pedal is sooooo much better than what you will hear being done on typical vids. Mastering this puppy will afford you a range of really cool tone possibilities nothing else can muster. Those who hate this pedal suffer from the terrible videos of it or the old models that glitch and burble from only being monophonic tracking. The buffer has been removed and this is improved poly tracking tech! Full bandwidth 1M ohm and out. Simply no comparison tech wise to the previous models.Whambam
I love how certain players use this pedal. Bucketed is the absolute master of the Digitech Whammy. I like Buckethead and got a whammy to try for myself. The only time I actually use it during performance as a ad-lib bit. The problem is that when its engaged it sucks the life out of your tone. Its like going from an all tube amp to using an iRig to play your guitar through your cell phones speakers. The effects are crazy awesome though. People that don't know gear that hear you play, bug out when they are trying to figure out how in the world you are getting those crazy sounds. The pedal needs recalibrate all the time. For no reason, even when you have the pedal on heel down, when you engage the unit the pitch will shift. The dive bomb effects are crazy for weird rumbling effects. Bought this in a heartbeat to replace my Digitech Whammy IV, which is a fantastic pedal but lacks the sound quality and additional features of this latest version: the Whammy V. For the uninitiated: The Digitech Whammy is a versatile pitch-shifting, harmonizer, octave, drop-tune, and chorus pedal used extensively by at least one of your favorite pro guitarists: Johnny Greenwood, Tom Morello, Jack White, Matt Bellamy, Buckethead, and countless others. I use it not just to replicate parts of their songs–Johnny's +2-octave riff in "Just", the solo in "Like a Stone", the "bass" line in "Seven Nation Army"–but in plenty of my own songs, both live and in the studio. The construction is solid and designed for both touring and in-studio use–durable but not too heavy, big but not obnoxious. Next, the upgrades: This new Whammy comes with two huge improvements. The first is true-bypass switching. Previous models are well known for being tone-sucking beasts, and although there is still a noticeable change in your sound when this latest version is on, when it's off it's off. The other massive upgrade is polyphonic tracking while pitch-shifting, which means it can shift entire chords up or down without sounding glitchy or garbled (e.g., "My Iron Lung"). For people who like that glitchy Whammy IV sound and want the option to use it, there's now a Classic/Chords switch which lets you do just that. On the cosmetic side, Digitech renamed a few modes, reorganized the layout, and brought back the Whammy logo on the expression pedal. All of these upgrades are godsends for long-time users. Finally, the drawbacks: First, as always, there is no "intelligent" harmonizer setting, so you're still limited to choosing an interval–4th, 5th, 7th–and not a key–Bb, C#, E–for your harmonies. Also, this latest version keeps the MIDI jack but ditches the dry output, which is a bummer. The Mosaic pedal is easy to use, and produces a realistic 12 string effect. It comes with it's own power supply, and I recommend using it as it seems to use quite a lot of energy to produce the effect. When I first connected it in my chain, powered by the wimpy Snark power supply, it didn't really work. The light came on when I pressed the on/off button, but the effect wasn't happening. Then I used the power supply that came with it. Suddenly, out came the shimmering sound of an electric 12 string. In short, it might not sound like a Rickenbacker, but its close enough, and much less expensive. If you want the sound of a 12 string, but don't want to spend the money, this may be the perfect substitute.jonaha650
Overall: Ive been using my Roland Gr-55 (w/ GK-3) to add 12 string shimmer to my sound for years. This little box is amazing! Tracking is impeccable, and the controls are so simple I was up and running within seconds! The metal box is sturdily built, and COMES with a muscular 9v, 1.3amp power supply(?!?!) Switching is silent, and the effect tracks tonal changes between pickups well enough that once dialed in, I dont need to touch the tone knob. If I get insanely picky, I kinda wish there was a separate out for the 12string sound, but that would negatively affect the affordable price and kind of defeat the 1 pedal= 2 instrument simplicity. I have both a 6 string and 12 string Rickenbacker. I don't normally like to take my 12 string gigging because I've got enough other gear to haul around and the 12 string is only used on a few songs. Plus all the associated issues with tuning, string replacement, swapping guitars, etc. The Mosaic does a pretty credible job of making my six string sound like a 12 string. It does not produce a perfect reproduction, but I find it good enough that I'm using it regularly. Considering the technology needed to generate the 12 string sound from a six string instrument, I'm actually very impressed that it does a good a job as it does. And the fact that it is polyphonic is icing on the cake. I've used electronic harmonizers to try and duplicate a 12 string sound, but they always failed in two areas. You could not play chords and the high B and E strings sounded just awful because the harmonizer would try and play notes an octave above on those strings as well (usually rendering this approach useless).. I found that the Mosaic gives a pretty credible 12 string reproduction on the E, A, D, and G strings. Fortunately the upper B and E strings do not get the octave treatment. They remain with the original pitch, but they don't quite have the full tonal resonance of a true 12 string. It isn't bad, just not quite perfect. All in all, I feel its a good product, does a good enough job and I'm happy with the 12 string emulation. I think its a credible option to consider if you need a 12 string sound, but can't justify the cost and issues of owning a true 12 string.bgb92549

I preordered this on AMS without, obviously, trying it out. I had only seen some clips from NAMM, etc. I wanted a ‘noisemaker’ more than anything…a little secret weapon with another flavor on my board. It’s a lot of fun so far. It mentions that it’s not intended for chords like several times in the manual. But honestly, that’s where it gets cool & weird. Like, seriously science fiction stuff. Try it with an expression pedal! I have one for my EQD Avalanche Run so I tried it out on the Mono Synth for kicks and it opened up a whole new level. An excellent pedal. Cool synth sounds with a reasonable amount of variation for each. Not perfect. Being monophonic, some of the sounds require you to be very deliberate when playing as even a slight slurring of notes can cause the pedal to have a little mental breakdown. Overall excellent. Still the best. Price increased only by $10 since inflation hit the pedal market, so not too bad. Tried many others. Still my go-to pedal. Heavy, fits my foot nicely. Not to small or large. L/R in/out, plus exp jack. Tension setting helps for fine tuning volume control. Recommend remove base plate and blow out rheostat once a year or so. I needed a pedal to help me get my volume right at shows….Using the gtr volume control and or a volume pedal in front of my pedal board just changes the drive into the FX. I get everything nicely balanced in the studio or at home, and then each venue has odd sound characteristics and sometimes I am too loud in my rhythm and too soft in my leads & no time to get everything adjusted just right. So I wanted a simple master volume pedal after all the FX and before the amp…(did not want to hassle with more cables needed for the FX loop). I have tried them all…none worked well for me….Well, here is what I learned: This pedal has a min volume control which allows more accurate setting of the pedal to the volume I need mid-song. This control was key, allowed me to zero in on the volume easily as small changes in the pedal position did not produce huge changes in volume. The pedal does not cut the quality, at least not in noisy bars and restaurants. So it's very good. But the real point is after years of not doing the volume thing well with my right foot I discovered that I was much better at the task using my left foot…and I am right handed!! This has changed everything. Turns out, the issue was my right leg is way sturdier to stand on and control the volume with my left foot. If you have a problem with this type of thing, just try your other foot. The pedal and this simple foot change basically solved the issue. I am not perfect, but way better than before and I get better with each gig!!BC 123
Our keyboard player also plays steel guitar. We built a stand that integrates with the keyboard, so she can switch between keyboard and steel very quickly. We now own two of these volume controls. The first one is mounted to the effects pedal attached to our keyboard. The other is a spare. We use channel 1 for keyboard volume control and channel 2 for steel guitar volume control. It saves us from cluttering our board with two pedals. I wish we could run stereo keyboard, but we forgo that for practicality. We like the overall feel of the FV-500L Stereo Volume Pedal. The only drawback we can find is its size. It's about a foot long. But overall we like it.Uncle Ronnie

hurry go…go now! get to the credit card and grab one of these before there gone 4-ever. ok…this is a tiny pedal. barely wider then a pick. built well, great paint Job and sounds over the top good. very raspy. i own 4 donner pedals and love them all, but this fuzz takes the cake. i did a side by side comparison with my caline nightwolf and almost couldnt hear a difference! in fact the donner has a bit more grit. my favorite thing is the tiny foot print. my board is out of room for a long time now and i popped this right in. huge sound. lots of volume and grind. no warbling or sputter. i am now a big fan of donner and cant wait to see there new line of pedals. we are living in the golden age of effect pedals. never before could you get this quality at these prices! i paid $22.00 for a pedal that sounds as good as any big muff out there…………..maybe better!?!? thank you donner 4 another big winner at an UNBEATABLE PRICE, DELIVERED TO MY BOX FREE!!!
