The fit and finish of the solid wood is smooth and precise: 4.5/5. I had no issues have the holes for screws line up and the raw wood is sanded smooth almost everywhere safe for a few spots of heavy grain: 4.5/5. While the screws did line up, some pieces attached more precisely than others: 4/5. The instructions to assemble very precise, however, the low quality of the pictures included made for a slight amount of confusion at points. Some clarification would have helped — things like explaining that the back does not actual lean back like it appears to in the photos: 4/5. In the photo the back looks to have a nice amount of leanback to it, but in reality it is closer to vertical. This means rectangular style cases don't fit as well as cases shaped like guitars. In my experience, these cases don't sit well in the stand and wobble around and do not sit securely, but it's resolved if you fill it up full with cases, especially one or two that are guitar shaped (notice how they have them between the guitar shaped cases in the photo… it's probably to hide this.): 3/5. Of my cases, a 2015 Gibson rectangular case will simply not sit in the rack, and my Fender rectangular TSA Strat/Tele case doesn't sit confidently unless the rack is filled. Any Gibson Les Paul Style cases or acoustic cases and gig bags will do quite well otherwise. It holds up to 6 cases and and as long as you have baseboards a half-inch thick or more your guitar cases should hit the wall. Overall a solid B- offering from String Swing, but the caveats and details of this product should be laid out more transparently. Real wood and made in USA. Matches my flooring. I doubt you could buy the materials and make one at this price. I'm currently storing four solid body electric cases and one acoustic case. The is room for one more of either type. It would probably store seven solid bodies or five acoustics. Easy assembly but the instructions were confusing. Tip: Put it together first. Then, partially disassemble to glue. Give the joints a pump spray of water before glueing. The glue needs water to activate. A small line of glue goes a long way. It wil expand to three or four times. You could skip the included glue altogether but it glueing will likely extend the life.Terry
Super easy to assemble, great price, and does the job. I recently purchased to organize my every growing collection of instruments. I needed something that would hold instrument cases of varying size and shape (banjo, mandolin, dobro, lapsteel, etc) but something that was minimal (small apartment) but clean and functional. So far, seems to be doing the job well. Wood has a nice finish and construction is stable and solid. I was slightly worried for the price that it would be junky, but it's not. Assembling was easy (10 minutes). I haven't tried traveling with this yet, so can't speak to that. I thought the price was very reasonable for what it is.Cole Quest

Overall: This is a great stand because it does what it says it will. I never thought about a stand for cases before, but it really saves a lot of room, is sturdy, and is easy to put together. Great product. I have 8 of them and have not been disappointed yet. Just what I needed to show-off my guitars and get them off the floor/stand, Arms of the hanger are such that they can be bent (pushed) out or (squeezed) in to accommodate different size guitar necks. Great. The only reason I didn't give this a 10 was because they originally come with some screws and sheetrock anchors that just don't seem that strong to me. I chose to use standard 2 1/2" deck screws instead to fasten the wall hanger to my wall stud. That way I don't worry about my guitars ever coming loose from the wall. Also, no evidence of rash or rub marks on the necks. Great. They are metal, have a clean look, and have adjustable arms at a decent price.
This hanger looks good, is very easy to install, and is more than stable enough for my Charvel acoustic. The anchors went in easily, and they provide superb stability. Just make sure your placement on the wall is right the first time to avoid damage to your walls. The 15 lb. weight limit for use with the anchors has nothing to do with the hanger itself, but more to do with the type of wall that it is anchored into. I put my extremely heavy 1985 Carvin V220 on the hanger and it was fine, but I would not leave it there permanently. For the Carvin, I will screw the hanger into a stud once I get my man-cave finished. I also love the fact that the base is flat and unobtrusive – very classy. I also used a 4" furniture slider with a soft carpeted face as a bumper. I just used a small nail to attach it to the wall to protect the wall and the guitar. I would definitely recommend this hanger.
I've had my Takamine for 20+ years now and have always thought that it would look great hanging on the wall. I wished I'd hung it a long time ago… It looks great!! This hanger looks really good and I found a stud and installed it in less than 2 minutes. The guitar is very secure while on the hanger. Now that I've had this guitar rack for a while, I can say that it is a great piece of equipment. Very sturdy and easy to assemble and mount on a wall. Appearance and finish look good. String Swing Guitar RackI love the product's adjustability. I gave it 4 stars because I would prefer the hooks to fit a little snugger into the rack. The hooks tend to cant just a bit if the hooks are adjusted at an angle. If the hooks are adjusted straight on, then they're fine. It would be great if the hook backing were a little wider and thicker. They would fit better that way and you would still be able to slide them to where you want them. I gave it 4 stars only because of the whole nitro thing… Its a great product, does exactly what it is supposed to, and it comes with everything you need to safely install it on the wall. However, the packaging (and this is on all the manufacturers of guitar stands) says that the foam "may" react to certain nitro finishes. Why can't these things be lined with felt, or some other cotton fabric that nitro does not react to? Half of my guitars have nitro finishes on the neck, and they have been reissuing vintage era guitars for over 20 years, why is this still an issue? So I cut up an old T Shirt and wrapped it around the fork, just to be safe. It looks like crap now, but at least I don't have to worry about destroying a $2,000 guitar (or 2 of them). Can we please have ALL guitar hangers/stands be designed for nitro finishes? Is that really too much to ask for?Marty

Item arrived very quickly and was at a very reasonable price. The item is sturdy and the hook/cradle is consistent in shape with other String Swings that I have. I have 6 other hooks of the same type and place one underneath the guitar as well the one under the head stock from which the guitar hangs. This is my own paranoia rather than a weakness of the hook. I have had one pair of hooks for over 17 years and another pair for over 10 years, in both cases the rubber on the hook has remained intact and has not marked or dis-coloured the guitars at all. I use these wall hangers to hang large acoustic guitars. I did not use a stud in the wall to anchor and they are very secure. The hanger is designed to keep the acoustic guitar off of the wall and it does this without effort. Bought this to hold my bass during breaks, mainly so I would have one less item (stand) to carry into gigs but also to save space when playing small venues with limited stage space. Works exactly as designed and hooks easily to amp. My only issue is that it doesn't quite fit my j-bass neck. I've got to angle the neck slightly to make it fit. Was hoping it fit snugly into the holder with the body of the bass flat against the side of the amp, but not the case, Not a big deal, as it serves the purpose anyway, but just something bass players need to be aware of when deciding whether or not to purchase.Fred P
This "String Swing Guitar Amp Hanger" provided me the opportunity to Hang my Guitar(s) (I use 2 of these Hangers) one from each side of my Marshall JCM 800 2203 Amp Head Stack. They provide easy access to get to either Guitar, if I have to switch, they are off the ground & they are out of reach from people at the side of the stage when we are between sets. Adjustable Strap, to fit the distance from any Amps Top Handle to the end of either side of the Amp! The Yoke Swings to always keep the Guitar Level no matter what type of neck? Foam Adhesive pads are provided, to place on the inside of the Bracket to help Protect your Amp. The picture shows a couple of rubber washers. Mine did not actually include those. But, I don't feel like I need them. This item would be even better if the hook were made such that I had the option to hook it over the back lip of my amp head and let my bass hang in front, instead of off the side. It would also be better if the strap used a quick adjust Fastex-style buckle to hold it, so that adjusting the length were quicker and easier to get it nice and tight. Of course, it would only cost about $2 in parts at REI to make that modification myself, but still. Overall, this thing is nice and a good size to throw in a gig bag pocket for use anywhere. But, it's just getting me by until my BassHanger arrives, so I can use that to hang my bass down the front of my stack, instead of off the side. I use this on top of my Ampeg V-4 head, stacked on a Bergantino NV610 cabinet. It hangs off the side, to hold my bass. With this stack, my bass ends up being roughly 6 inches or so off the floor. The quality of the pieces is good. There is nothing obvious to me that could really be improved in the quality. For the price, this hanger is great!Stuart-NtTyD

I bought some of these stands when I was a church music director from 2000-2005. I recently visited the church and they still have the stands and they are still in use and in are good shape. These stands are nearly "idiot-proof" as it would take a direct fall by a ***** to knock over your instrument. I had some "Hercules" stands and they lasted about 10 years before the Florida humidity caused the plastic parts to deteriorate.These stands will last forever.
