The hooks tend to cant just a bit if the hooks are adjusted at an angle. If the hooks are adjusted straight on, then they're fine. It would be great if the hook backing were a little wider and thicker. They would fit better that way and you would still be able to slide them to where you want them. Product was packed really well, no signs of any damage to the wood. My main complaint is it was missing the two screws to attach the piece the guitar necks cradle in. For the price this is very disheartening. I am lucky enough to have screws and bolts in my garage that worked. Luckily they attached from the back so you can not see that they do not match. I would say a little over priced but it still looks good and serves its purpose. It did clear up the clutter. Keep in mind I had to take straps off the last 3 guitars as it would not fit properly. No biggie. Took me about 40 mins to assemble due to having to hunt down screws to fit.
I wanted a multiple guitar rack which folds into a guitar style case. However, the good ones are way too expensive. This wooden one is solid, attractive, and far less expensive. It's easy to load and unload guitars without bumping. Constructing is quite another matter. I'm well experienced and this one tried my patience. The instructions only have close ups which don't give a good idea of parts orientation. One threaded insert had a slight angle which made base assembly almost impossible. Manufacturer should post an assembly video and do a better QC on parts alignment.Eric
I received 2 of these stands. They are built pretty well, and the wood seems to be of good quality and they do look nice. The angle the guitars sit at is not very good. It is a pain to get them to sit in the stand properly. Also, the protective strip they use barely, and I mean barely is enough to keep the guitars off the wood base, and because of the bad angle, it's extremely easy to smack the guitars on the wood base when trying to seat them in correctly. Even when they are seated properly, they still sit extremely close to the bare wood of the stand, not a very comforting feeling. I will be applying something over the bottom parts of the rack to give better protection, as I'm not currently comfortable using this on my high end guitars. I would not recommend this product in its current form.Erik

I gave it 4 stars only because of the whole nitro thing… Its a great product, does exactly what it is supposed to, and it comes with everything you need to safely install it on the wall. However, the packaging (and this is on all the manufacturers of guitar stands) says that the foam "may" react to certain nitro finishes. Why can't these things be lined with felt, or some other cotton fabric that nitro does not react to? Half of my guitars have nitro finishes on the neck, and they have been reissuing vintage era guitars for over 20 years, why is this still an issue? So I cut up an old T Shirt and wrapped it around the fork, just to be safe. It looks like crap now, but at least I don't have to worry about destroying a $2,000 guitar (or 2 of them). Can we please have ALL guitar hangers/stands be designed for nitro finishes? Is that really too much to ask for?Marty

Item arrived very quickly and was at a very reasonable price. The item is sturdy and the hook/cradle is consistent in shape with other String Swings that I have. I have 6 other hooks of the same type and place one underneath the guitar as well the one under the head stock from which the guitar hangs. This is my own paranoia rather than a weakness of the hook. I have had one pair of hooks for over 17 years and another pair for over 10 years, in both cases the rubber on the hook has remained intact and has not marked or dis-coloured the guitars at all. Great product. I have 8 of them and have not been disappointed yet. Just what I needed to show-off my guitars and get them off the floor/stand, Arms of the hanger are such that they can be bent (pushed) out or (squeezed) in to accommodate different size guitar necks. Great. The only reason I didn't give this a 10 was because they originally come with some screws and sheetrock anchors that just don't seem that strong to me. I chose to use standard 2 1/2" deck screws instead to fasten the wall hanger to my wall stud. That way I don't worry about my guitars ever coming loose from the wall. Also, no evidence of rash or rub marks on the necks. Great. They are metal, have a clean look, and have adjustable arms at a decent price.
This hanger looks good, is very easy to install, and is more than stable enough for my Charvel acoustic. The anchors went in easily, and they provide superb stability. Just make sure your placement on the wall is right the first time to avoid damage to your walls. The 15 lb. weight limit for use with the anchors has nothing to do with the hanger itself, but more to do with the type of wall that it is anchored into. I put my extremely heavy 1985 Carvin V220 on the hanger and it was fine, but I would not leave it there permanently. For the Carvin, I will screw the hanger into a stud once I get my man-cave finished. I also love the fact that the base is flat and unobtrusive – very classy. I also used a 4" furniture slider with a soft carpeted face as a bumper. I just used a small nail to attach it to the wall to protect the wall and the guitar. I would definitely recommend this hanger.
I've had my Takamine for 20+ years now and have always thought that it would look great hanging on the wall. I wished I'd hung it a long time ago… It looks great!! This hanger looks really good and I found a stud and installed it in less than 2 minutes. The guitar is very secure while on the hanger. I use these wall hangers to hang large acoustic guitars. I did not use a stud in the wall to anchor and they are very secure. The hanger is designed to keep the acoustic guitar off of the wall and it does this without effort. The hardware to anchor the hanger did break, so I would suggest getting some extra ones from the hardware store. (about 60 cents)Chip

Well made, attractive and it does its job. One of the several that I bought was for a 12 string guitar and I was not sure that the extra wide neck would fit, but it barely did. I was able to bend the hooks outward a little more to give a bit more clearance. I think that String Swing makes a wider hanger for classical and 12 string, but nobody seems to carry them.Steve
What I really love about this design is not only how clean it looks but also how much closer the guitar hangs next to wall which actually helps me from not bumping into my guitars as I walk past. Additionally because the base plate is metal and not wood it feels much sturdier when mounted to the wall. Bought this to hold my bass during breaks, mainly so I would have one less item (stand) to carry into gigs but also to save space when playing small venues with limited stage space. Works exactly as designed and hooks easily to amp. My only issue is that it doesn't quite fit my j-bass neck. I've got to angle the neck slightly to make it fit. Was hoping it fit snugly into the holder with the body of the bass flat against the side of the amp, but not the case, Not a big deal, as it serves the purpose anyway, but just something bass players need to be aware of when deciding whether or not to purchase.Fred P
This "String Swing Guitar Amp Hanger" provided me the opportunity to Hang my Guitar(s) (I use 2 of these Hangers) one from each side of my Marshall JCM 800 2203 Amp Head Stack. They provide easy access to get to either Guitar, if I have to switch, they are off the ground & they are out of reach from people at the side of the stage when we are between sets. Adjustable Strap, to fit the distance from any Amps Top Handle to the end of either side of the Amp! The Yoke Swings to always keep the Guitar Level no matter what type of neck? Foam Adhesive pads are provided, to place on the inside of the Bracket to help Protect your Amp. It is Easy to slide under the Amp Handle, then gravity holds it in place until you want to remove it.Small & Light enough to put in your pocket (but you would look ridiculous) Solid Construction! I Liked the 1st one that I bought 8 months ago so much that I bought a 2nd of these 4months later. Both have held up to monthly Bar Gigs, (so far, so good) These should last for a long time! The picture shows a couple of rubber washers. Mine did not actually include those. But, I don't feel like I need them. This item would be even better if the hook were made such that I had the option to hook it over the back lip of my amp head and let my bass hang in front, instead of off the side. It would also be better if the strap used a quick adjust Fastex-style buckle to hold it, so that adjusting the length were quicker and easier to get it nice and tight. Of course, it would only cost about $2 in parts at REI to make that modification myself, but still. Overall, this thing is nice and a good size to throw in a gig bag pocket for use anywhere. But, it's just getting me by until my BassHanger arrives, so I can use that to hang my bass down the front of my stack, instead of off the side. I use this on top of my Ampeg V-4 head, stacked on a Bergantino NV610 cabinet. It hangs off the side, to hold my bass. With this stack, my bass ends up being roughly 6 inches or so off the floor. The quality of the pieces is good. There is nothing obvious to me that could really be improved in the quality. For the price, this hanger is great!Stuart-NtTyD
