1. Electro Harmonix – Neo Clone Analog Chorus Pedal
Product Details:
Analogue chorus pedal. deep sounding pedal which can fit the chorus tone you're after in a number of genres. rate knob and 2 way depth switch. small enclosure doesn't take up room on your pedalboard. takes 9v power. perfect for a range of genres from grunge to indie, new wave and pop rock. the speed of the chorus is controlled by the rate knob. flicking the depth switch as you would expect does impact the depth of the chorus but also seems to modify the tone somewhat making it useful for experimentation. as is a trend these days this pedal doesn't have an internal battery compartment. although you can use a connector cable to connect a battery if you really want.

Reviews:
I love the sound of this pedal- but it has a bad foot switch or something. Every time I turn it on or off it makes a huge popping noise that could literally damage your speakers- I have to put my amp in standby before I turn it on or off. So, it's sort of useless- if the song has this effect all the way through it and I can get a chance to flip my amp into standby, turn it on, flip my amp back on- then I can use it. I use it in studio pretty often- but not live. I expected better form EHX- they're a huge, well-established company- but they use cheap, crappy foot switches. Even the EHX pedals I have that don't make this noise- the footswitch is really clanky and awkward- you have to make sure you push it down hard and feel that "click" under your foot. The rest of my pedals have a very smooth switches on them, much better. BOO EHX, BOO!stonylonsome205
bought this after watching hundreds of video's. generally i'm not really a chorus fan. However was interested in the toggle switch option on this unit which seemed to be really useful in ambient soundscapes. Having played it now for a few weeks, i really like it, toggle switch is the main point for buying this, takes a standard chorus sound and adds a depth to it which is beautiful. easy to use and really adds something to ambient playing especially when paired with the holy grail reverb i bought. overall really glad i bought it.Derek A.
Listened to this chorus on YouTube and compared it to the more expensive models. For the price this pedal is very lush sounding and simple to operate. One switch and one knob unlike some other chorus pedals with five knobs. So easy to dial in a great sound. Small pedal to fit on your pedalboard taking very little space.Hambone

This pedal does exactly what it claims to do. Crossover feature keeps your low end clean and defined while the top end shimmers with the chorus effect. The ability to blend the effect is excellent. A marked improvement on the early generation of bass chorus pedals when everything gets a bit wobbly. Highly recommended.namkrowz
Build quality on this pedal is great, tone control is super. Paired up with a big muff bass pi and you've got a great sound. The crossover switch is a great addition but not one I use as I'm running a clean amp and a dirty one, so the more effects the better on the latter! Worth noting, there's no battery. This probably won't be a problem as if you are considering it you probably have a power bank or some other wired power already. Gets you 90% of the way to Come As You Are, you just need to learn the notes.toblockle-0
3. Electro-Harmonix Small Clone Chorus Pedal

Reviews:
Just a great chorus pedal.. it doesn’t rob your tone.. it adds a thickness.. not too much or to little… it sounds great to me and just what I wanted for old school rock n roll, blues and county. Made like a tank and priced like it was yesterday.. and you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to adjust the knob and flip a switch. No rack needed just plug and play!
I needed a Simple and easy to use Chorus pedal. Does what I need.John S
Having gone back and forth between digital / emulated effects and analog / practical effects, I decided to add a Small Clone to my pedalboard. If I had one complaint about the unit, it would be that it has a switch for two different depth settings instead of an adjustment pot. That said, when I plugged in I found that of the two settings available for depth there is one that suits me just fine. The pedal is very quiet, and does not color my tone in any way. True bypass is always an added benefit. Electro Harmonix builds these pedals to last, and I can’t see myself ever moving to another chorus pedal from this one. I’m in love. Rig – Fender USA strat with EMGs into a Peavey 6505 head / cabinet. The pedal adds great modulation to both clean tones and leads. BUY THIS.Nick in NH
4. Electro-Harmonix Nano Clone Chorus Guitar Pedal
Product Details:
The electro-harmonix nano clone chorus effect pedal is everything you love about the small clone in an even more compact, die-cast package. this compact battery operated chorus pedal features a simple, effective rate knob, with an led function indicator. to produce the chorus effect, the nano clone bends the frequency slightly from the input source and mixes this altered signal with some direct unaffected signal. the combination produces a doubling effect. the depth switch controls the amount of frequency change that occurs in the altered signal. the rate knob controls the rate of alteration between raising and lowering the frequency. the red led indicates when the effect is switched on. the footswitch engages and disengages the chorus effect.

Reviews:
It's a good, simple pedal. Not the greatest but something you can cut your teeth on if you're unfamiliar or uncomfortable with effects pedals. Has a nice chimey almost a touch of flange effect along with the chorus to give it a unique voicing. A little tiny bit noisy but its to be expected of warm analog sound. I find it best to put it in the effects loop on your amp. Doing this quiets it down a bit and takes care of a small volume drop in the pedal. Overall I'm happy with the pedal. It's pretty good. Not glorious but pretty good for its simplicity.hatchetjosh
For people who don't know about chorus pedals, this is an equivalent to the MXR Micro chorus, which first came out in 1981. It is a very satisfactory pedal for its type. It made its debut with the 'XO' series of compact Electro Harmonix pedals. In my opinion, it is complimentary to the variety of chorus pedals that Electro Harmonix has, and it DOES provide great expression.MFH

Reviews:
I'm a metal guy at heart, so when I finally put the Metal Zone away and started building a grownup pedal board, a Tube Screamer was high on my list. I was particularly interested in this unit because of the size, since my beginner board probably isn't going to be very big. I plugged this little guy into my regular setup and was immediately blown away. If you've played some metal you know the setup: straight into a high gain amp, drive at 0, level at 10, and tone dialed in to taste. It made my Orange Micro Dark Terror, digital Bias FX rig, and even my sad old Marshall solid state roar, but in a much more defined way that never felt flabby or uncontrollable. I would recommend pairing it with a decent noise gate to trim down the hum, but that's just what electric guitars do when you crank the gain, and not a flaw of this pedal in particular. Okay, sure, it can do metal. I've also run this unit through a bunch of other setups and contexts. Through my Orange I definitely got very usable blues and classic rock tones by pulling the gain and volume back on the amp, and setting everything on the pedal around half way. I can even see potentially using it with the drive all the way up as a lead boost or to slightly break up a clean tone. This little thing is a beast for sure, and is pretty much perfect for my uses. It's not a transform your amp kind of effect, it's meant to compliment what your existing equipment already does. It has some specific things it does well, and it *really* nails them. #sweepstakesDan
Stop what you're doing right now. RIGHT NOW, and get this pedal. This tiny little monster sounds incredible and I am kicking myself for not trying any kind of Tube Screamer for my 20+ years of playing guitar. This literally sounds like a tube amp in a box. You can dial in the perfect amount of boost or drive without really impacting your guitar's true tone. If you push it all the way, it's almost in distortion territory, yet it retains warmth and picking dynamics…on the other hand it compresses nicely – like a tube amp. How does it do that? It's magic. I got this mini version because I'm building a mini pedal board, so it fits perfectly. Don't let the size fool you though, because it sounds incredible. The only drawback is that it needs an external power supply. Oh, and as an added bonus, this is made in Japan, and it shows. The switches, knobs, and inputs feel very high-quality. In my opinion, this is incredible bargain.Jamers
I collect Tube Screamers, and decided to get this for the collection. Soundwise, it works as a TS808; great transparent overdrive for stand-alone use but excels at boosting gain on an overdriven amp. Not as harsh or "dark" as a TS9, and a decent price. Definitely a TS to consider if you're trying to save some money; you definitely won't be missing out on the sound of the TS808. Also great if you want to add a Tube Screamer to a board, but need to save space. The only negative I can say is the Level and Tone knobs are difficult to see for settings, but that's true with most mini pedals. It doesn't take a battery, but there again, neither do most mini pedals. Construction is more solid than the Mooer Green Mile, and the TSMini is made in Japan (thought for sure it was Chinese). The price is great on these, but I'd also consider checking out the East River Overdrive by EHX; my current favorite Tube Screamer clone. As far as the Ibanez Tube Screamer line-up, this is seemingly the best value.Dave
7. Tc Electronic Mini Spark Booster Guitar Pedal
Product Details:
A tiny pedal with a loud bark, the tc electronic spark mini booster can provide up to 20db of clean boosted power. whether you want to kick it on periodically for some extra punch or leave it on all the time as a tone booster the spark mini can prove useful in many playing situations regardless of genre. because of its diminutive footprint the spark mini can be easily placed in any open space on your board. if you want to add more gain to your sound put the spark mini at the beginning of your signal chain to drive your pedals and amp harder. some guitarists have an always on boost in this configuration to impart some grit on their tone. if you want to just boost your overall volume stick the spark mini at the end of your signal chain either after all of your pedals or in your amp's effects loop. should you for whatever reason want to disengage the spark mini the true bypass switching ensures that the circuitry in the pedal won't affect your tone while disengaged.

Reviews:
I wanted a button to make me louder for solos etc. and this does exactly that without changing tone. Brilliantly simple: set how much volume jump you want and that’s it, I don’t think I have had the dial past 25% so far. The ‘latching’ function of the foot switch is a great idea. Great price as wellReviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Initially intended to buy an Xotic EP Booster because I wanted to try the Echoplex thing out, but saw this little guy and figured…why not? I like it so much, I don't see the point in ordering the EP Booster anymore! Hits the front end of my Soldano in a way no overdrive has yet, and with no noise. Works equally well in front of my OCD pedal for a lead boost. And to all the people whining about the switch not clicking…whatever. I like that about the TC stuff and wish all pedal companies would make their switches "clickless". Great value, just buy it already! Thanks TC and Sweetwater!
This pedal does exactly what it claims and does it better than other pedals of the same purpose. It is constructed extremely well. For around $50 this pedal's physical casing and switch assembly is made better than pedals I own costing hundreds of dollars more. I don't foresee this pedal ever needing replacement or repair. I'm not particularly fond of the "momentary volume boost" feature but that doesn't change my overall opinion. It's a great item.ethan1957

Reviews:
I've had this pedal for about maybe 5 months, great pedal. The best thing to do is to always read your manual because this particular pedal shuts off. That feature is to save you battery power, or just being on too long when you walk away. I hadn't gotten use to that at first. It pays to read the manual to figure out how to do it. But the Selections in where the layout is for the different tones, for rock and roll, blues, heavy metal, and R&B is it great pedal.astringmusic
It' easy to blow an afternoon exploring the wide variety of sounds this pedal can produce. While many of the effects are great there are quite a few duds mixed in there. You just have to play. There doesn't seem to be that much logic as to how the effects are grouped. You really need to write down your favorites. Out of 100 effects I think almost anyone can find 20 that they really like. Great pedal for the money.Lenny G.
The Stomplab has some very good patches right out of the box better than most MultiFX units. I rarely get to say that. Since I like to try them all, I think it excels in areas that can outdo expensive pedals. The amps sound really realistic and have beefy snappy mids right in your face with great projection and pop. The tones are designed to sound good as you play with EQ settings the amps seem to stay in the zone of what you would expect an actual amp would do. The best way to really experience this is to plug into a Hi Fidelity home stereo etc. and listen to how detailed the mix is. There is a Tube Screamer that seems to actually enhance just about every amp you try it with when trying to get some edge. The clean amps are some of the best out of the box tube gain style sparkling U2 like rhythms with clearly defined picking separation. This is probably about as good as it gets for these type sounds. Very metal like ballading with chorus and delay. Def Leppard Bringing on the Heartache or Photagraph come off terrific. The crunch sounds are very realistic and the US Hi Gain is about as good as it gets for 80s Metal. I can compare this to the VT Plus series because I have it. This pedal sounds good and really excels with a Tube amp. The VT Plus is a tube hybrid and the 12ax7 single tube does add a touch of edge as it is cranked but the pedal is the same Engine and the edge is subtle and the Tube Screamer SIM sounds close. Any sound can be had and it records from the line out with very good definition. Most of the amp sims are very good with little tweaking and I think it has the most good amp Sims of any other multi fx unit. Has way more variables than the VT Plus amp series and it is one of my favorites for downright realistic amp sounds. Hard to believe it but, it stacks up well against the bigger floorboards in respect to tone alone. More controls on the bigger units sometimes can take you too far off base. It really is well designed and keeps you sounding good.
9. Electro Harmonix Stereo Clone Theory Analog Chorus/vibrato
Product Details:
The stereo clone theory pedal from electro-harmonics is a stereo chorus/vibrato pedal for the guitar player. stereo clone theory is a re-creation of the original 1970's clone theory known for its edgy chorus, but with stereo outputs. the stereo clone theory's depth and rate controls swing from one extreme to the other, giving the user a wide range of tonal possibility. it is housed in a tough and compact die-cast chassis and comes with a 9v battery. an optional 9.6 vdc-200bi power supply is also available. the stereo clone theory features two chorus modes and one vibrato mode. in chr 1 mode you can control the rate of modulation but the depth is preset, whereas in chr 2 mode you have full control of your chorus tone. in vibr mode the dry voice is taken away, changing the effect from chorus to vibrato. the rate control adjusts the rate of modulation and the depth control adjusts its depth. there is a footswitch with led indicator for engaging the unit or choosing true bypass mode. in true bypass, the input signal is connected directly to both the main and stereo output jacks.

15. Hand Wired Overdrive Pedal – Paul Cochrane Timmy Guitar Effect Clone
Product Details:
Reviews:
I was looking for a pedal to help break up my Fender Princeton Reverb a little easier. It is a very clean amp by default and I like a little grit. I've tried probably five different pedals and they all colored the sound too much and took away what makes that amp sound so good naturally. The Timmy is the first one I've found that gives me a little punch without affecting the natural amp sound too much. It still does a little but it can be dialed down enough to where it's not nearly as noticeable. Nice adjustments that allow me to dial in great sound going from a chimey Fender guitar to a more burly Gibson LP. Happy with this pedal.a1981k
This is the third Timmy pedal and I still have two. One was accidently fried on a board that went bad. This pedal has just the right amount of overdrive for me! I don't need metal mania and yet, I can get a nice fullish overdrive sound with the gain cranked, turn down guitar tone control and get a rich "woman" tone. It has a great EQ and clipping options with a convenient switch. I've spoken with Paul (builder) and he is one fine man. I'm an electronics tech/guitar repairman and this is built very nicely. Highly recommended for someone who cares about their guitar and amp tone!rick1946brown
