Seagull 12 String Acoustic Electric Guitar For Sale (2024 Update)

I had it for close to three years now, never once regretting buying it as I have with other 12-strings. It is very easy to do the barre chords, especially for an acoustic 12-string. Rather easy to go up and down the fretboard. It was set up fairly nice, I did have the bridge milled down a small amount last year. Another surprise to me was the bass end of it is not as passive as others seem to be. A person can clearly hear the bass notes when picked. The treble end does not seem to be as high pitched as some others I have had either. So the whole tonal ability is rather uniform, not favoring either the highs or lows. It certainly is not the quietest one I have had either, it can project the sound too. I have not played in a band for decades now, but have played at partys, and the local VFW a few times lately. Bought it in London about 9 months ago and have bonded to it like no other guitar I have owned in the past 40 years. Incredibly easy to play for a 12 string. Fingers glide along the frets though it took my wrist a little time to adjust to the width of the neck. Rich, clean tone favors picking, but also fun to strum out a tune. I perform with it, and chill out with it quiet evenings at home. Equally good for both. Great value.Coop

I've looked long and hard at a lot of Guitars….Solid Tops…All Solid…All Laminated…Dreads..Jumbo's..Grand this and that.. And I had given up! .. I mean I decided maybe Acoustic wasn't my thing, But then this back order came in that I had total forgot about..The Seagull CH …."WOW" For a Concert it has a big voice, maybe not Jumbo bassy but a big balanced tone that has a special..tonal quality to it that just brings a smile to my face, This is one! and I don't even pay attention to the headstock lol Build is just perfect….I'm a Seagull convertCASD57

Hi I ordered the guitar and was told about the long delay and found that really honest and helpful, so many people nowadays don't mention the delay in advance then spend their time making excuses. When I reicieved the guitar I was very impressed, the action is perfect and I had spent lots of time worrying that I may find the action on a 12 string too much. It plays just as well as my six string acoustic and that's the best acoustic I've ever played, which is why I bought it. This was my 1st purchase from Richard and I am pretty sure it won’t be my last, whilst I am very much a beginner at guitar, returning after 20 years I have developed a habit for buying guitars that are somewhat inspirational to me, (well apart from my tele modern player, not my wisest purchase). I have always loved the sound of a 12 string acoustic, but was put off by the general implication they are not a good idea for beginners, however I came across a couple of YouTube reviews for the Godin A12, which suggested otherwise, one of which was Richards. I spoke with Richard fairly late one evening to enquire about stock via his live chat and he was still online which was surprising. The guitar was in stock and the order placed, each step of the process from order thru to workshop allocation, setup, testing and finally dispatch, were updated via email and on the website, the whole process took 10 days from ordering to my door step. Initial impressions were good, the guitar in its gig bag was very well packaged and arrived in perfect condition, after a quick tune up, the sound was amazing, the action is nice and low and it is considerably easier to play than I was expecting, in fact it only highlights how poor the initial setup on my tele was. Personally I have a long way to go but I definitely have an instrument that inspires me to pick it up anytime I have a few minutes to spare. If you are ever in need of a guitar and Richard stocks it then I would highly recommend Richard over some other online providers, you may not get it next day, but the wait is very much worth it. I received my Godin A6 a couple of weeks ago and I must say I am very impressed, not only with the guitar, but also the service from Richards Guitars. It arrived very well packed and ahead of the projected time. It's a little early to give a practical review of the guitar but suffice to say it's looking very promising, and will probably replace my Martin 000-28 for a lot of my gigs, especially when I'm playing in the full band. These tend to be longer than my solo gigs and a tad more frantic. One of the reasons I went for the A6 is because I have a bit of rheumatism in my thumbs and the narrower neck on the A6 helps a lot without sacrificing an acoustic guitar feel and sound. At the moment I'm experimenting with different strings. The guitar came with nickel wound but I thought I'd try some phosphor bronze which is more in keeping with my acoustics. The Jury is still out! I can certainly recommend Richards Guitars, their attention to detail and concerns over customer satisfaction are excellent.Brad B.

The single piece of fiberboard supporting the neck had totally given away and the headstock was the main support when the guitar was flopping from side to side. It was OK in spite of poor packaging. Next issue was the setup. Had a significant dip in the neck and action on high E string was over 8/64th. Loosened strings and truss rod, let it set in humidified room for over 1 day. Adjusted truss rod and got out my file to have a pretty flat fretboard and low action. Now it plays great. QIT pickup is better than most piezo systems. A Seymour Duncan Woody with Fishnan PlatinunPro EQ works better. Wish they offered it without electronics. If you haven't got the tools and setup experience, a local dealer can do it for you. All said and done, good guitar for the money if you have a little expertise and patience.Bob

I left a comment a few years ago. Now, after playing this guitar in many venues and different genres I will add to my earlier praise; this guitar sounds better and better, and now that is has some age in the wood the tone is more gorgeous. I've found that with a "back buster" sound hole cover I get a very soulful tone. I prefer it and leave the cover on all the time — especially with slide, the tone is really smooth. Again, you simply cannot find a better guitar in this price range and as I said before it stands up to all guitars in higher range. Plus I really like the autumn burst, matte finish. It really stands out in a crowd.Brian

There is nothing not great about me selecting the Entourage CW. After much research on the brand and a few "lap dances" at the local GC (dreaming on it, Youtube also), it was an easy choice for me AND for what I'm doing musically at this point in my life (60 years old, between any further band project that will doubtfully arise), she has the perfect tone for the 60-70's rock, 80-90's country, open chord creations, all that I lean towards. This guitar sounds awesome to me unplugged. I can feel the vibratory hum next to my torso. It is soft and whispering to my soul to "play me more often, Pops!" But plugged into my Roland Street Cube, with little adjustment, or my ancient PA, is when she comes alive. It is truly like no other sound from other guitars I've owned or researched online. For me, we are a lifelong match. Nuts and bolts? I have nothing bad to say about this acoustic guitar choice at all. I've been playing guitar and piano since the late 60's as a novice and intermediate performer, owned the $2300 Gibson J45 Standard a few years back, the Martin DX1RAE after that, many fine Yamahas, but my new guitar is the one I've fallen in love with. Good luck on your choice but choose wisely. These instruments of fine wood and steel need their rightful owner to come along and stay forever. Trust me on that. I've owned this guitar for about a year, I like to live with things for a while before reviewing. This is a fantastic guitar for the price. It is nicely set up right out of the box with a nice low action and good intonation. The guitar sounds great and is well balanced with crisp clear highs and a round warm bass sound. It responds well to both light touch finger picking as well as heavy strumming. My only criticism when playing is that it feels a little tight when finger picking. I will also comment on the thin neck. I like the feel of the thin neck on this guitar, but it might be a turnoff for others. I would recommend playing in a store before making a final decision. I do have one minor quality issue and I'm not sure if it's common or not. A few months ago the pickguard on my guitar began sliding out of place. There is now unsightly and sticky glue exposed on the guitar top. I contacted Seagull and they sent me a new pickguard and advised me on how to remove the old one. I will say they have good customer service. I'm a little nervous that the new pickguard will do the same thing, but time will tell. Overall this is a great guitar for the price and I'm sure I will enjoy playing it for many years to come.Michigan Steve

Girlfriend bought me a Seagull Entourage Rustic for my birthday and I loved the sound and build quality of the instrument. I've since purchased several for family members and friends as as first instrument or a "step-up". Every site said the S6 was the perfect starter…meh! Only problem with the Entourage Rustic was the nut width made finger picking a chore. I decided to purchase an S6. Playing it in store…rusty strings and all…I could tell it was perfect for my purpose. It has enough space between the strings to allow my fingers to pluck away. I'm finally getting it to the point where the top is aging and the sound is becoming resonant, harmonically rich, and almost three-dimensional. The Entourage Rustic is a great Strummer but mine is now my permanent DADGAD guitar. I tuned it down a whole step (CGCFGC… right?) and have put the capo on the second fret. This allows me a heavier set of strings and the spacing at the second fret is wide enough for my fingers. I may replace the second fret with a stainless steel fret in the near future…as my version of a "zero" fret. Incredible guitars made to impeccable standards…yeah, they've won a fanboi. I've also purchased a Taylor that's nice enough. I just seem to gravitate towards the Seagulls. Leaving the Taylor in the corner.JohnnyScottish

I had a teacher who owned the old S6 model and I always loved the feel and sound of that guitar, it stuck in my head for years. I couldn't ever find one locally and I used to not trust buying guitars sight unseen online, until recently. I got a few less expensive instruments to test it out and was impressed w/ how perfect they showed up ready to play and matching the reviews in every regard, even the flaws. So I waited for the right coupon and bought the new and improved version of the dream guitar I always wanted and I'm so glad I waited and ended up w/ the new one because it's even better! The look is outstanding, mine is just like every picture you can find of one they are all perfect and uniform in appearance, some natural woods will have a lot of variance in grain and color, these all look the exact same. The sound is heavenly, this is where I feel this guitar beats it's predecessor and many other fine instruments like Taylors, Yamahas, and some Martins I've played. It has a very rich full tone and a shimmering quality to it's sustain that makes me think it just creates more natural harmonics and resonance than any other acoustic guitar I've ever played. I've been playing just over 15 years and have fooled around w/ at least 20-25 different acoustic guitars alone, I own 4 others aside from this one- and none of those can compare to this sound of this guitar. It can almost run you out of a small room if you're playing hard it projects so loud, and the resonance/sustain is unbelievable- as long as you can hold a note fretted it will keep ringing, when it starts to fade add vibrato and the sound comes back like it's hooked up to a amp w/ a lot of feedback. The most excellent tone and string spacing I've ever found for finger picking. It's just the right sound for an acoustic lead part w/ melodies and Travis picking because it's highs are higher than others. It feels perfect too w/ the semi gloss finish and that contoured neck, best acoustic guitar ever for the $.John

I've been looking for a particular sound from an acoustic to replace my Ibanez. I went into to the GC to get strings for my other axes and try out a white Tele they had. Tele wasn't quite what I was looking for so I went into the accoustic room and this just stood out and I had to tryit. I was sold after one strum of Dm-A-G. That was the sound I wanted. Mids somewhere between a J45 and a Taylor. Highs have just the right amount of brilliance without stealing the show. Exactly what I was looking for. It has a bone nut and saddle so this thing rings out so well. The only thing I can think of negative is the Epiphone Deluxe tuners feel cheap. I'm just going to order some Gibson Deluxe's, other than that this is a beaut!JR

This guitar is beautiful. I've played many guitars, but none are more pretty than this. I have the Cherry Burst, wow! The fretboard material is Laural Wood. It plays nicely with bended notes, nice and firm. This guitar has good "weight." It is one of the heavier acoustics I've played. I like that too, it feels like great quality. Mine is not made in China. It was manufactured in Indonesia. These Asian manufacturers are doing a great job and I like it that mine is from Indonesia, too. There is good balance in sound from string to string, too. It's nice that it came with a sound hole cover, but such a nice (and fairly pricey) guitar should come with a gig bag or case.Boomer

Overall: Ok let me first say that I have been playing guitar since 1964. I have so many guitars since then I can't even remember them.In my experience Epiphone guitars have always been a solid platform for someone who is first starting and novice and intermediate level players.After reading about these " Inspired By Gibson" series Masterbilt guitars I thought I'd give one a try to see how close to a real Hummingbird it is.It caught me off guard. The fit and finish is outstanding. The playability was absolutely perfect out of the box.The original 1960's Headstock makes it look really nice. Not that deeply scalloped extended swelled at the top one usually find on an Epiphone. Nice touch Epiphone !The tulip Keystone vintage tuners are excellent. Smooth and tight. Fret work was amazing for a guitar in this price point as well as getting a guitar with beautiful solid mahogany and Sitka spruce that is finished in an accurate vintage toner. The real Mother of Pearl inlays are a really nice touch.At this price point getting an instrument with a one piece mahogany neck with no seperate heel is almost unheard of. I am tempted to say this Epiphone is so close to the Gibson model it amazed me that Gibson would allow Epiphone to produce something this close to their high dollar Hummingbird.In conclusion…. BUY IT !! You will not be sorry. zZounds is the best out there for sales, service and amazing one day delivery.Ed

That means Richard is maintaining is promises on selecting the best sounding/looking models. We had some trouble/delay on the shipment caused by the express courier and Richard has been kind enough to send me a free gift (which he was not obliged to do), to kind of compensate for a problem he didn't cause! It has low action all the way down the neck. It was shipped impeccably. The chords ring out like a bell. The price is phenomenal. There is a reason I only buy from zZounds. Its because they let play while you pay. This is a company that cares about musicians because they are musicians. Anyway I digress. The neck is a satin finish that rivals my $2000 PRS CE. It is like butter. The nut which governs tuning (& staying in tune) is a Tusq nut, which is what I use to replace stock nuts on a lot of my guitars. ThIs guitar is made in North America, Canada specifically, not in an asian factory 7000 miles away. The body is slightly smaller than a dreadnought. I love it. Maybe hand sits directly over the sound hole because ts in the same position as in my electrics. I looked many times at similarly priced Taylors which are fine guitars, but I believed eve I made the best choice for me.Tony

Overall: It arrived in a slightly banged up box due to the neglegence of a federal shipping company whom i won't name. Luckily for me Godin ships their guitars in the most solid air bubble armor that I've ever encountered. Right out of the box this guitar was ready to sing, and sing it did. Without tuning I played an Emajor and to my surprise it was in tune. About 3 minutes later, after the previously mentioned chord finally stopped ringing, I plugged her into the soundboard and the tone was impeccable and clear. It's a solid guitar as well. it doesn't feel thin or cheap. The action is low and the neck is smooth. I had my worries from blindly purchasing this unique masterpiece but I am very glad I trusted the reviews and description of this angelic bird. It truly is as described, if not better. I don't think you'll find a better acoustic electric in this price range.Derek

I buy guitars based on two criteria: 1) Playability – low action, feel of the neck and easy to play sitting or standing. 2) SOUND!! – equal in priority to playability… tone, resonance, intonation and it sounds good both amplified and unplugged. This Seagull met those criteria for me and it also looks great! For reference, I own a Taylor 214e, Taylor Big Baby, Taylor GS Mini, Martin HD28 and several Yamahas, Fenders, etc. I love them all for different reasons. My daughter (who's also a musician) and I visited Guitar Center and I went around the acoustic room picking up various guitars and strumming them + playing some fingerstyle tunes. I kept going back to the Entourage and my daughter even commented about how great it sounded compared to the others. At the risk of my wife divorcing me for bringing another guitar home, I had to have one. The Entourage has quickly become one of my favorites and it sounds great, both acoustic or amplified. The tone is very well balanced – enough depth/bass on the lower notes and the high notes ring through clear with great projection and resonance on both. It really is an enjoyable guitar to play and I highly recommend it.Andy

I’ve owned a EF381SC-LH since the early 90s. My being left handed had a lot to do with my decision to purchase it, as up to that point it was the only 12 string I’d ever seen in person, never mind Getting to play one. I was able to tune it by ear and it plays as easily as an electric guitar, so buying it was a no brainer. But over the years I’ve come to appreciated it more for it’s acoustic and amplified tone. It sounds great plugged into my guitar amp, it doesn’t need to go through a PA. It takes the dry New England fall/winter less than 20% humidity while never protruding a fret or needing a truss rod adjustment. I do use two Dampits less than diligently. This 12 string Is one of the best values in the guitar universe, if you have ever wanted one this is the one to get.Stan

I use this guitar as a requinto. (Mexican Guitar) It's just beautiful. I'm at a loss of words with this one the beautiful Gloss Black Finish and the mahogany Takamine logo and Fret markers are just flawless. I would purchase this guitar time after time if i had the money. Oh, and not to mention the electronic pickup that comes factory with it. This guitar was sold as "blemished." I haven't found any blemishes on the guitar. When it arrived it still had the plastic scratch guard on the pickguard, and the strings were still stretching the way brand new strings do. I tried the lower range Takamine 12 string, the GD 30CE, and wasn't happy with the feel of the the neck, string height, or the over all sound of the guitar. So I ordered this one. I know this range of Takamine guitars well because I own an EF 341SC. So far, this guitar has delighted me at every turn. I've not yet played the guitar through a PA system, but plugged into a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface and recording it sounds great: well balanced and rich. The same if not better recording off of a live mic. The neck feels good, the string height is perfect.Ron

Vor kurzem habe ich diese Gitarre beim Musikhaus Kirstein bestellt und bin über alle Maßen begeistert! Versand/Verpackung Trotz Feiertag war die Gitarre innerhalb von vier Tagen bei mir zuhause. Sehr schnelle Bearbeitung und zügiger Versand seitens Kirstein und wie gewohnt pünktliche Zustellung durch DPD. die Gitarre kam im Originalkarton, in dem sie auch von Seagull (Kanada) an die internationalen Vertriebspartner versendet wird. Dementsprechend war sie so verpackt, dass im Karton nichts verrutschen konnte, aber noch genug Knautschzone durch die Polsterung vorhanden war, um die Gitarre zu keinem Opfer von Versandschäden zu machen. Aussehen und Verarbeitung Besonders auffällig ist der vergleichsweise kleine Kopf bei der mächtigen Dreadnought-Bauweise. Grund für die Wahl dieser Kopfplatte ist, dass die Saiten einen nahezu komplett geraden Weg vom Steg zu den Stimmmechaniken zurücklegen können. Dadurch bildet sich durch die "Wegunterbrechung" am Sattel kein allzu starker Winkel, was sich wiederum positiv auf Klang und Saitenhaltbarkeit auswirkt. Der Korpus ist hochglanzlackiert, was die Gitarre nochmal edler wirken lässt. Nachteil hierbei ist jedoch, dass man auf diesem Lack sofort jedes Staubkorn, jeden Fingerabdruck und jeden Kratzer sieht… Für den Klang der Gitarre selbst ist der Hochglanzlack jedoch nur von Vorteil. Insgesamt ist die Gitarre sehr hochwertig verarbeitet, es sitzt alles da, wo es sein soll: – die Buchse für den Tonabnehmer wackelt nicht und wirkt trotz des verwendeten Plastiks durchaus wertig und stabil – die Stimmmechaniken bieten nicht zu viel Widerstand und halten die Stimmung sehr gut – der Hals sitzt stabil und wackelt nicht – die Saitenlage ist optimal, sowohl für Zupf- als auch für Schlagbegleitung Klang Der Klang der Gitarre ist der Hauptgrund, warum ich mir diese Gitarre gekauft habe. Durch die massive Zederndecke (übrigens wie alle von Seagull verwendeten Hölzer aus nachhaltigem, unternehmenseigenem Anbau!) in Verbindung mit der Dreadnoughtbauweise sorgt dafür, dass die Gitarre mit einem insgesamt sehr warmen und weichen Klang daherkommt und die Töne schön lange nachschwingen können. Durch den großen Resonanzraum hat die Gitarre auch kein Problem damit, größere Räume mit spielener Leichtigkeit, jedoch vollkommen unaufdringlich beschallen zu können. Sie bietet damit schöne, satte Bässe und klare Höhen, schwächelt meiner Meinung nach aber etwas in den mittleren Frequenzen. Letzteres finde ich persönlich jetzt aber nicht so schlimm. Über den verbauten Fishman Sonitone kann ich leider (noch) keine Aussage treffen, weil ich die Gitarre hauptsächlich unplugged verwende. Sofern ich aber einmal die Gelegenheit finde, auf einer Bühne und mit Verstärker zu spielen, wird die entsprechende Beurteilung nachgereicht. Insgesamt ein wunderschönes Instrument, bei dem für mich einfach alles stimmt! Dazu noch die zügige Bearbeitung durch das Musikhaus Kirstein, die schnelle Lieferung durch DPD und die nützlichen Tips zur Gitarrenpflege, die zum Service von Kirstein dazugehören (und mir als "altem Hasen" doch auch wieder einiges ins Gedächtnis gerufen haben…) lassen mich als Neukunden definitiv wieder hier einkaufen!Andreas

This is the perfect guitar. Its beautiful! Came with low action, very playable and sounds wonderful. Was a little worried about the wider neck but its great. Couldnt be happier. And got a great deal. Bought a used Ibanez from a friend to make sure that I was going to stick with the guitar before I bought something nice. After I determined that guitar was the instrument for me, I purchased this guitar. Let me tell you, this guitar sounds great, and is great for any level of experience. It stays in tune very well, and is showing no signs of wear after a year of usage. I am still learning many of the basics, but listened to a very experienced (Gibson owning) buddy play it and was amazed. He said the nut width was a little wider than he was used to, but I really like the space it provides my clumsy fingers. After playing for a minute, he raved about the quality and playability ESPECIALLY for the price I paid. He went as far as saying it played on the same level as his Gibson. Buy this guitar and you will not regret it, guaranteed. Lastly, this thing looks amazing. I am not the type to really care about appearance, but it was icing on the cake for this instrument. The only thing I will say that could be considered a con is about the unique shape. This particular Mini Jumbo has made it tough to find a hard case. With that being said, my only real resource is the internet (I am stationed in Okinawa, Japan). Musicians Friend has many cases to choose from , but I am afraid to order a case over the internet that could be to big/small. Really no fault to the guitar, but something I thought people might want to know.Larry

I recently purchased the Performer Mini Jumbo and got the best deal ever at Musician's Friend!This guitar is an awesome value for the price. The finish is flawless and the wokmanship is, too. The piece of Indian rosewood that the fretboard is made of is just beautiful; rarely seen on guitars costing twice as much.I had to lower the action by adjusting the truss rodd and lowering (filing) the bridge a bit, but I do that with all my acoustics. I like low action. I guess my only issue might be that I wish it came with the Q2 electronics package as well. Don't get mewrong, the Q1 sounds great, but with this nice of a guitar, it would also be nice to have the mic of the Q2.That being said, I am very happy with this purchase and glsd to have a guitar that's made in North America as opposed to China or Indonesia.Seagull really sets the bar for price/quality.Aaron-ZhtLx

I have tried several different manufactures and very few even come close to this guitar. The looks and plaability out of the box was the best of any of them. The finish is flawless the neck is very comfortable and the action is right on for finger style playing. I really like the 1.8" nut width. All around fine guitar. Plus Musicians Friend took care of me as usual. Nice finish, neck feel comfortable out of the box, preamp is clear and tuner seems acurate. It's hard to find a guitar that plays, looks and sounds this good. Everything works very well. I compare this guitar to other manufactures for twice the price and more. At this price you will have a hard time beating it.Steve B.

Have been gigging for 30+ years on piano and guitar. Have spent more money than I care to admit to on Musician's Friend. Either keep the purchase or send it back. Rarely do I write a review. This one merits a review. Have several guitars, including the flagship Taylor L7, which is flamed maple back and sides. A gorgeous instrument. So this Godin is being compared to an instrument costing 3 times the price. The quality of the Godin is excellent. Needed a luthier setup (tweek the neck, lower the action via sanding down the saddle=$50) to be properly playable. The gig bag is a very nice padded and fitted carry case. Some gig bags are nothing more than a glorified sock. This gig bag is nice. Unplugged the Godin gets a "7" next to my Taylor L7 "10". Which is pretty good. Plugged in, the two are a dead heat. The Godin is excellent on stage. Amazing onboard sound system. Neck width. For those of us educated in the public school system, America is the only industrialized country on earth still using the Imperial system (inches, pounds) rather than the metric system. Allow me to use the Metric system. Classical guitar necks are 52 mm (about 2 ") at the nut, while electric guitars are 43 mm (1 11/16"). I like a wider neck to give room for my fingers. This Godin is 47 mm (1.8 ") nut width. I like it. Tried a Goodall and Santa Cruz guitar, each selling for more than a nice car, and found the Godin with equal playing action. Bottom line. If you have $3K or more to spend on a high end guitar, then buy one. If your budget is in this range, then you can do no better than this Godin. Good vibrations to you.good vibrations

Girlfriend bought me a Seagull Entourage Rustic for my birthday and I loved the sound and build quality of the instrument. I've since purchased several for family members and friends as as first instrument or a "step-up". Every site said the S6 was the perfect starter…meh! Only problem with the Entourage Rustic was the nut width made finger picking a chore. I decided to purchase an S6. Playing it in store…rusty strings and all…I could tell it was perfect for my purpose. It has enough space between the strings to allow my fingers to pluck away. I'm finally getting it to the point where the top is aging and the sound is becoming resonant, harmonically rich, and almost three-dimensional. The Entourage Rustic is a great Strummer but mine is now my permanent DADGAD guitar. I tuned it down a whole step (CGCFGC… right?) and have put the capo on the second fret. This allows me a heavier set of strings and the spacing at the second fret is wide enough for my fingers. I may replace the second fret with a stainless steel fret in the near future…as my version of a "zero" fret. Incredible guitars made to impeccable standards…yeah, they've won a fanboi. I've also purchased a Taylor that's nice enough. I just seem to gravitate towards the Seagulls. Leaving the Taylor in the corner.JohnnyScottish

I had a teacher who owned the old S6 model and I always loved the feel and sound of that guitar, it stuck in my head for years. I couldn't ever find one locally and I used to not trust buying guitars sight unseen online, until recently. I got a few less expensive instruments to test it out and was impressed w/ how perfect they showed up ready to play and matching the reviews in every regard, even the flaws. So I waited for the right coupon and bought the new and improved version of the dream guitar I always wanted and I'm so glad I waited and ended up w/ the new one because it's even better! The look is outstanding, mine is just like every picture you can find of one they are all perfect and uniform in appearance, some natural woods will have a lot of variance in grain and color, these all look the exact same. The sound is heavenly, this is where I feel this guitar beats it's predecessor and many other fine instruments like Taylors, Yamahas, and some Martins I've played. It has a very rich full tone and a shimmering quality to it's sustain that makes me think it just creates more natural harmonics and resonance than any other acoustic guitar I've ever played. I've been playing just over 15 years and have fooled around w/ at least 20-25 different acoustic guitars alone, I own 4 others aside from this one- and none of those can compare to this sound of this guitar. It can almost run you out of a small room if you're playing hard it projects so loud, and the resonance/sustain is unbelievable- as long as you can hold a note fretted it will keep ringing, when it starts to fade add vibrato and the sound comes back like it's hooked up to a amp w/ a lot of feedback. The most excellent tone and string spacing I've ever found for finger picking. It's just the right sound for an acoustic lead part w/ melodies and Travis picking because it's highs are higher than others. It feels perfect too w/ the semi gloss finish and that contoured neck, best acoustic guitar ever for the $.John
