I recently replaced a 5 watt Roland cube street with the more powerful cube street EX. I was disappointed that the EX did not come with Roland JC setting. The clean setting on the EX produced a sterile, cold sound that I warmed up nicely with the Behringer tube modeler. This was my only reason for purchasing this pedal. I have occasional use for a battery operated amp and this pedal allows me to get the warm tones that I require.Richard
Case is plastic to evidently help with cost. With the cost of musical equipment any help is great. I take very good care of equipment so I do not "stomp" on them. Pedal has quality sounds that seem to work within relm of eq'ing. This pedal has it's own drive built in although a bit sensitive. Take your time and you can dial in some quality tones and sounds. I play lots of various music ranging from southern, blues and Christian rock and have been able to fine something nice that works with each style or genre. Again the pedal controls seem a little sensitive so take your time when you start with the pedal. I enjoy expermiemting so this facet is a-ok by me. Over all good pedal.Bo L.
I've had the pedal a couple weeks now and I am more familiar with it. I may have written a previous review so this might be an update… I purchased this pedal for the few times I would have to play on others' amps that don't have any effects as I already have two very good modeling amps. It works great on the modeling amps with the clean channels selected. Recently I bought a Fender Blues Jr which has no effects. I am in a small space where you really can't crank up the volume. To cut to the chase, the TM300 can stand toe to toe with either of my modeling amps, either plugged into them or the Blues Jr. In the modeling amps it provides more clean voices than the amps do without a lot of fiddling. You can also use the distortion/overdrive features instead of the amps' native on-board features if you wish. It is very intuitive and if you take the time to play with it you can come up with some very interesting combinations. I have a Les Paul Custom and a Fender Strat. And though both have upgraded pickups I couldn't quite get the sounds I wanted. The LP was a little too jazz-like and muddy when played in distortion thru the amps. The Strat was just tinny and quacky. I was considering changing out the pickups in both a second time. The TM300 breathed new life into my LP. I can now dial in the sound I want without having the change the pickups. The Strat has a richer fuller sound when I want and the quack when I want. I got this one simply because it was cheap and I just wanted to play around. Venti cinco dolares? Are you kidding me??? The only drawbacks are: 1) It has a plastic housing. It's not heavy duty like a Boss. 2) If you use 9V batteries you have to take the stomper off the change them. A minor annoyance. 3) If you use batteries you have to be careful to unplug the unit after use or it will burn thru your battery in less than a day. Or you will have to buy a 9V adapter. BUT… If you don't want power cables and like to keep things neater, the battery option will help and will also make it more portable as you don't have to pack a power cable if you go anywhere with it. This is my 3rd Behringer pedal, and though not the best in the world I own 3 for 75 buckaroos… less than the price of one professional pedal. For an amateur they work fine and can help a newbie find out what they like and need in pedals without a lot of financial pain.

The boss gp-20 features ten "model" options, like "tweed" and "black panel". my favorite for a clean bluesy tone with a bit of gain was "black panel", although "crunch" was good, too. there are four speaker cabinet emulations that sound different. for what it's worth, "4 x 10"" was my favorite. then there the usual three-band eq options and "presence", "gain" and "master". i ran it through a little fender tube amp, and the options sounded great- saved me from buying a bunch of pedals. i thought i read somewhere that this pedal is basically the amp options on a roland cube amp. the writing and options look just like it. the pedal also has a battery option (shown in a picture). condition: the little silver stickers on top of some of the knobs are missing (see pictures), and there are a couple of small paint chips missing on the front of the pedal. but this thing is solid metal and built to last.

This switch works great with my new Champion 40 Amp. The LEDs work perfectly and the switch does an excellent job. I have not been able to find the actual footswitch that is specified for the New Fender Champion 40, so I purchased this one from Musician's Friend. This dual purpose foot switch requires just a regular 2 conductor guitar cord (not a special 3 conductor stereo cord), so the lack of a 12' cord in the box was not a problem for me. I believe that the design uses the light emitting diodes to separate the tasks between the channel switch and the on/off effects switch. Any regular guitar cord should work (my 25' cord works fine). I was shopping around for a foot pedal for my Super Champ X2 that I just came into and I saw off brands for about the same price as this. The off brands listed that they included a cable where as this listing does not state that. I opted to go for the Fender brand and I am glad that I did. Got this pedal after owing my Super-Champ XD for a few months. This Fender pedal isn't simply a channel switcher, as it allows you to cycle the effects on and off. That really makes a big difference in terms of the number of tones/sounds you can get out of this amp. Clean to dirty to effects, with just one footswitch. The only downside I've found is that it's a little awkward to get this footswitch on a pedal board, if that's what you'd like to do. It's possible, but the bottom isn't flush, as the side rims keep the metal base about an eighth of an inch off the ground. If you just put this on the ground, though, the side rims keep the pedal from sliding, which is nice. Overall, it was worth the money for me, as it allowed me to change channels and tones without having to walk over to the amp and push buttons/turn knobs in the middle of a song.danielecrowe

I wanted an AB switch that would allow me to choose between sending my guitar through one set of effects pedals, or sending it through a "Sonicport/iPad" set of effects. The guitar goes into the input of the AB switch, then A goes to my effects pedals and into the front of the amp, and B goes to the Sonicport and then to the return side of the effects loop of the same amp. I can switch between my conventional pedals and the Sonicport with just one switch (A or B). While I am running through the Sonicport, I can select and deselect pedals on the other channel, and while I am running through the pedals, I can likewise scroll through the effects on my iPad and select a new sound. This way, I am always connected and playing, even while rearranging pedals or the effect selection on the Sonicport. The switch is transparent with no hiss, additional sound, or loss of signal. Does't even need a power source (9v) to work (that only powers the LED indicators). Also has the option of A&B, which I'm not using, but does work (I've tried it). Can of course do all sorts of other switching combos. I may try using two separate amps, rather than the front and effects return of the same amp. The switch is reversible, too. For instance, you could run two guitars into the A and B jacks (can either be used as inputs or outputs), and use the center jack as the output to go to an amp, so you can switch instruments without changing cords. I've seen other AB switches at higher prices, but this switch gets the job done with no apparent drawbacks for a lot less cash. I would highly recommend if you have a need for this type of switch. Don't how it would hold up after many uses, but for now it's working great.John
Needed to be able to switch between 2 instruments going into the same pedal board/amp. This does that, but there are some problems. 1. Significant reduction in tone quality! 2. Slight volume difference between channel A and channel B 3. Slight volume drop on both channels compared to bypassing the pedal 4. Doesn't fully mute either channel. 5. If both channels A and B are selected, both suffer an unusable reduction in volume and tone quality. On the positive side, the construction quality is good. Seems like it will last a while even through tour abuse. Overall it does what its supposed to do just not at a professional quality. I'll be looking to replace this soon.NC Bacon
Some reviews say this pedal is noisy, some reviews say it's great. I figured I'd try my luck, spend the 50 bucks and I'm SO glad I did! I was pretty mad when I first plugged in and got a bunch of noise, but after an hour of trying different configurations I learned that it was actually a bad cable causing the noise. After swapping cables, all is well. No noise whatsoever, not even when switching channels. If you're having a noise issue, make SURE it's the pedal causing it and not something else! As for the "tone killer" comments, I can't really speak to those. I'm running both channels to the same amp and I love the sound I'm getting.

Bought this AB/Y pedal to allow me to use both my guitar amps…..Fender 68 Custom Princeton Reverb and Blues Jr. NOS (Tweed). I waffled back and forth between Morley, the Fender, and a more expensive one with lift, ground, etc. switches. I figured for the price (it was on sale after Thanksgiving) it would be noisy, hum, etc. but it's dead quiet and works EXACTLY as advertised. Years ago, I'd use my two Black face Fender Deluxe Reverbs by going out of the #2 input on the 1st amp and then go to the second Deluxe Reverb input #1, but you always had both amps on and the second one had to be set at a higher volume due to the #2 output being attenuated. This AB/Y pedal allows switching from one amp to the other, or having both on. Haven't tried using it with one amp and two guitars (the other option for the pedal's use). Delivers six different ways to color tone in a single box, for a rock-bottom price. You can use one at at time, which is really no drawback– just buy another one of these if you want to chain them. Experienced pedal users may have effects that are superior. But I'm a low-rent guy in a high-stress world, with no prior experience in pedals or tone shaping, and for me this is a gem. Instant therapy. A lot of fun, finding sounds that I've heard on songs and always wondered how people made them. I don't find it to be very noisy at the volumes employed in my apartment (duh), and a noise gate in my chain makes it virtually silent. The build quality is not an issue for me, at least so far. I won't be abusing it, and for the price, if I somehow manage to break the case… it's not a tragedy. It's a cool box for people like me who want inexpensive access to the world of effects. You get what you pay for. This pedal is fun to experiment with. Some effects are really good, others are not. The Flanger needs a high-cut filter. The Phaser is kinda weak and it sucks your tone. The chorus is really good. The delay would be really good, but it won't go slow enough for me. So I don't see myself using it. I don't like the Tremolo effect, but it seems to work fine in this pedal. The Pitch Shifter was my favorite effect in this pedal. It is sensitive to adjustments, but once I had it carefully dialed-in, it sounded great. The Level knob works great. It seems to blend the original signal with the selected effect nicely, without dropping the volume or sucking your tone. I use this pedal in the effects-loop of my amp head. The two parameter knobs seem to have a pretty big range. They go from subtle, to really wild. It takes some time to carefully adjust them to get the sound you are looking for. The knobs feel stiff when you turn them, which is nice. They will stay where you set them. Construction is plastic, so this pedal is not too durable, but it will be fine for home use. Overall, this pedal is great for the price. It has plenty of use-able sounds in it, but some of the effects are not perfect. This pedal would be great for new players, because it allows them to experiment with different effects to see what they like, and it doesn't cost much. I use a 1-spot power adapter with it, which works great.
This is a very good unit for it's price. I purchased it for my "little" amp when I go to friends place's to jam. My "big" amp has the same effects in it & are better. However, it does do the job I purchased it for. It is well made in China under German supervision. The Germans don't do rubbish products & that's what made me check it out. I'm not complaining about it at all, this is one of those "horses for courses" items. I have another pedal that does what this one does & more but it cost three times what this did. I'd recommend this to anyone that wants those effects but doesn't want to pay close to $200. My last remark is "you can't beat it for the price"Roger R.

I bought the Orange Amp Detonator to crank two small 20w amps for more grunt. What's better is that I can blend two tonally disparate amps to create another sound altogether. The thing I feared most (like I do with all pedals) is the phenomenon of "tone suck" where the engaged pedal flattens a normally vibrant sound. Nothing like that with this baby. It is easy to use with different coloured lights to keep you reminded of what mode you are in ie both amps, amp a only, amp b only etc. Plus it is Orange so it looks damn cool too. Love it. Recently downsized my Fractal (Axe-fx) live rig into this little unit. I've had it now for about a month and i'm really happy with it. It does everything i hoped it would and the tones i'm able to pull are great. The built in presets are a really great place to start and you can dial in your 'sound' even more with the many effects available. The touchscreen is an awesome feature but i'm really happy with the computer editing capabilities, as that's what i'm used to. The build quality is actually really strong and the built in exp pedal is super solid too. And it's small, like.. smaller than my keyboard! Perfect for carrying around to shows! I was also able to get this really cheap compared to it's competition. There's even an Ampero gig bag that you can purchase separately that is fantastic. Cheers!Barak B.
I have been VERY impressed with the Hotone Ampero so far. I have no idea how they were able to create such an amazing product for such an unbelievable price. It's like a Helix LT shrunken down for about 1/5 of the price and it has the same dual DSP SHARC chips as Helix! The unboxing is similar to an Apple product. Build quality seems very solid. There are tons of AMPS, EFFECTS, and CAB Sims in here! And so far, they all sound great. I've only been through a small % of all this stuff. But I can't wait to see what I can do with it. P.S. I usually use mics, but this unit sounds good run directly into the mixing board thanks to the better than average amp/cab emulators. The overdrive/distortion and chorus algorithms are particularly noteworthy, and the reverb and delays are also more than adequate. Definitely one of the best overall multi-effects pedals I've used, especially in a direct to board capacity. I like tube amps. That’s a fact. I’m too old to change my mind. No one is ever going to make a solid state amp that I’m going to enjoy as much as a tube amp. That being said, I like this amp too. It’s not going to replace a black face fender or $3000 boutique build. But it is great to have around for an impromptu jam or small club show. I keep it on a pedal board with a few dirt boxes, some modulation pedals, and a e.q. I can get a pretty great tone from it with the right settings. Plus I’ve got a 1 year old that takes a lot of naps, and this thing gets real quiet. I plug it into a 1×15 can and noodle around at home or with friends and it does the trick, especially if you put a little reverb and low gain o.d. In front of it. Is it worth $400? To me yes. It’s a small solid state amp with superb cleans and does what it’s suppose to do well. But I’ve also got tube amps for a more harmonically rich tone. I wouldn’t buy it as my main amp, but for small gigs and ease of use it’s a total winnerNik
Honestly thought I was settling with this guy and assumed I’d be returning it for something with more power. Boy was I wrong. This little dude powers my orange PPC412 with zero issues and is super loud. I’m currently using the helix stomp as my live rig to the powerstage and right to the cab. So I got an idea to build a fly rig basically everything I need in a pedal bag. I ordered the on-stage pedal bag from MF which is perfect heavy construction and and quality bag with just a few pedals and the right distortion pedal the power stage plugged directly into a cabinet 412 or 212 actually sounds so much better than my other amps. Because I like the power stage I am actually going to get a backup and sell my other amps because I don't need them anymore. What a great idea just a pedal bag and the guitar that's all you need I highly recommend the powerstage 170 I did research on other brands and decided to try this with the built-in 3-band EQ you can do some quick tweaking on the Fly for whatever room you are playing in. I tried both configurations (in front of preamp/amp head and into FX loop return), and it really only worked well for me into the FX loop return bypassing the Amp head preamp, which is the way it was probably intended to be used. It sounds great for everything from Tool to Metallica and even got some pretty killer Sludge/Stoner sounds out of it with an OD in front (which is what I was buying it for hence the 5 stars). Dialing back the gain was able to produce some nice dirty blues sounds. As far as modern extreme metal sounds, I couldn't quite dial in anything like say Fit for an Autopsy or Whitechapel. I think you need to stick to 5150's and 6505's for that sound. Otherwise it can really cover the gamut for hard rock, punk, metal. Great preamp overallCosky
This is the overdrive pedal you want for anything 90's and heavy to even more modern sounds. I imagine it would be capable of pulling off Djent as well. Very versatile for heavy sounds. The gain is fat and saturated. The VH4 channel 3 gain is very distinct and this pedal gets you very close to that soubd at a fraction of the price. I run mine straight into a 6watt tube amp, and it gives me all the distortion i need. It also has killer tone, and the eq knobs are very reaponsive. Although it took about an hour of concerned and initially disappointed fiddling with the various settings and 4 amps I had before I got it to sound the way I wanted (like Tool), once I got there, whoa! Yes, this pedal makes the single biggest difference to sound like Adam Jones from Tool than any other item in the chain. I already had Mesa Boogie and Marshall valve amps, lots of pedals, a Gibson Les Paul Custom Silverburst, drop D tuning, heavy strings, and had always wondered about getting the actual VH4 amp. When I found this VH4 pedal I was sceptical initially, read some reviews, then took the chance, was initially disappointed for the first hour, but then bingo! This really does get you in the right place, and once the sound was right I was playing away for hours getting more and more pleased at how good it sounded. I realise that Tool use multiple amps, can play far better than I can, everything is recorded immaculately, blah blah blah, but for someone who wants to get close to the sound in a home environment for personal pleasure and to see what other things I can improvise sound like with a similar Tool sound, this pedal is perfect. So I would thoroughly recommend it, but just be patient initially – for the first hour I was getting that sinking feeling that I had wasted my money on chasing the impossible, as I tried plugged into this amp then that. In the end my best sound was plugging the pedal straight into the power amp of the Sub Zero 60 amp using the VH4 power amp output. That sounded better than going into the front end of the Mesa Boogie Nomad 45 and Marshall SL5. It really does sound like Tool, given all the caveats. I purchased this to use with my Dual Amp Wet/Dry rig and it works very well. I only have two slight gripes. 1. The tuner out is pointless for me. I DO like the option but I use my tuner pedal to defeat my entire signal and this doesn't allow that. However I figured this was the case going in so no point off. As an added bonus, I can use the tuner out port to record a DI signal, so this ended up being useful after all. 2. A few reviewers have said there is signal degredation(loss of treble) when using both channels. The specs for the switchblade+ state that when both outputs are used, the output impedence is halved, so I didn't think it would be an issue. Lo, and Behold, there is some loss. It is barely noticeable but it IS noticeable. This could probably be fixed with a little EQ adjustment, but I tried a Buffer right befroe the Switchblade+ and it worked wonderfully. Luckily I have had no phase or isolation issues and I have had no signal bleed as a few others have stated. Overall I am glad I got this and it works exactly how I need it too.Eric
The main reason I purchased this pedal was for the way the switches are set up. The Switchblade plus has the A/B switch on the LEFT side of pedal where as 99% of all ABY pedals out there the A/B switch is on the RIGHT. The way my pedal board is set up I need that A/B switch on the left. I use this pedal to switch between 2 amps from 1 pedal board. All my pedal effects go into the input of Switchblade plus, then out A goes to amp 1, out B goes into a looper pedal then out to amp 2. So I can send live loops to a separate amp. EHX makes great products in the USA. Buy this instead of a Morley.johnny laundry
At first I was really concerned because the LEDs came on any time you put your guitar in the input. This means if you're running on batteries it's nearly impossible to run anything in front of this pedal without the LEDs on 24/7. The solution: Run on AC power all the time, get a receptacle switch, and cut the power when you're done playing. BTW running on AC also causes the LEDs to stay on all the time so it's necessary to cut the power when you're done. This thing can also operate without batteries but you lose the LEDs. Problem #2: When plugged in, my tuner (D'Addario CT-20) made an electrical sound. Just because of the nature of how the Switchblade+ is made, there's nothing to mute. You still hear the tuner, and in my case there was some accompanying noise. Solution: Run the tuner behind A or B in the first spot. This allows you to mute everything behind it as it should. Problem 3: I can hear noise from my Boost pedal (TC Electronic Spark) on from A when I'm on B. This is annoying but what can you do. This is why boost pedals go up to $300 and why this one was under $60. Also red light is A and the green light is B because that mAkeS sEnSe. Other than all that, this thing's alright. It does it's job and while I'm not entirely unsatisfied it's definitely not a five starer.oxedus

First of all I should to say that I have had play experience only with amp sims before so that this review is written impressed by difference between digital and analogue worlds. Build quality and appearance are certainly on high level. Knobs turns smoothly bright switcher has no excessive play and that also applies to other components. The Kraken has great weight (comparing with usual pedals) and looks solid. As Boris The Blade used to say Heavy is good, Heavy is reliable. If it doesn't work you can always hit them with it. Now I'll tell about minor negative thing. I was having high-pitched continuous beep after some time of work when I plugged it to multi-power supply (12V 1000mA and with isolated outputs claimed by the manufacturer). I had to switch to kraken's power supply so now it's ok. I think it's probably more problem with multi-power supply. Ok let's talk about the most important thing it is SOUND. My rig includes Clean Booster -> Overdrive pedal -> The Kraken -> Audio Interface -> Wall of Sound. In general it allows me to reach my purpose to get high gain sound for metal tones on red chanel. Maybe with 4 cable method connection with real amp it works better but in standalone mode it still needs some boosted impulse from pre-overdrive if you want to get tight punchy rithm to play with palm mute. So I wouldnt consider it as extremely high gain sound. But it doesn't diminish the greate tone of the Kraken at all it still does most of work of creating tone. I used it togheter with Kraken 412 speaker simulation and it works very well. Regarding sound itself comparing with amp simulators it is on couple levels above. I don't know how to explain, it feels more musical, touch sensetive, clear without mud and some noisy unmusical high frequensies that I get on sims. I can play for hours and I don't get earn fatigue. My ass and left leg get tired faster. And litteraly yesterday before I started write this review I discovered how amazing sounds natural harmonics. You can produce it on the several strings simulteniously e.g. and I don't know how to properly explain this feeling but at this moment you clearly understand that it works just as nature intended. By the way string difinition is also fantastic. Speaking of how it works with extended range guitars. I use 8 string guitar in standart tuning and it still sounds very well. Maybe it looses a bit to big brother but with proper cab you can get tight tone. After digital amps I'm a bit shocked and surprised. And I think that proper IR makes about 30% percent of work if not more. All in all I would strongly recommend it for those who are tired of amp sims and looking for better sound for playing in bedroom.

Even my neighbours think it sounds awesome and asked me to crank it up louder so they can hear it in their garden! I added this to my Orange Dark Terror amp and it sounds great. The Dark Terror by itself is amazing, but it only has one channel. This pedal effectively adds two more channels, But I’m not here to talk about the Orange. This preamp pedal gives you all kinds of options from barely breaking up, to screaming, full metal high gain sounds, and even with the gain cranked, keeps individual note definition for extended chords if that’s your thing. I use mine with the amp through mode (connected through the effects loop) and in my opinion, that’s where it really shines. I’ve tried it between guitar and amp like a regular overdrive pedal and it sounds pretty great that way too. The bright switch seems to help dial in the pedal to the amp, but I’ve only tried it with the one amp. I have no complaints at all. Would buy again for sure.lackhand

Inexpensive way to practice without bulk head.54boot
This amp is perfect for a 9vDC rig. I already own one so I came back for another one to become the dedicated built-in amp to power my DIY talk-box. I took it out of the box, plugged in a RockBoard 9v power supply, plugged in my Telecaster and output it to my Leslie, and took it for a ‘spin’. Now I need to by another to dedicate to this Leslie. Holy whirling glory! With the Micro 6 at low volume, tone up high, by rolling of my guitar volume I could get pretty sparky cleans, and with the cranked, the Micro produces a very musical crunch. You do need to watch how hard you hit the front end, but I normally put it at the end of a few effects on my off-the-grid briefcase rig running into a Celestion V30. The results are similarly stunning for such a petite powerhouse. Go into this expecting it to sound like a $50 amp the size of a bar of soap, and you’ll be very happy. It’s not a general use, replace-my-Marshall thing here. Spend a few hundred more and there are LOTS of those. This does good amplification with good results for s great price. Based on this product alone, I’d buy any VHT amp. People are literally amazed when I plug my mini-board into a battery and a speaker and blow the doors off. I think it's fantastic that for 50 bucks you can get a signal splitter. I saw techniques online for creating beefier tones by splitting your signal to real amps and digital effects as well. It would be annoying to route a computer signal into an amp, and then back into the computer, so this defeats that method.

Had this on want list for awhile. Bought it new when I saw a price break of 17% on MF. Software & plugins misadvertised by IK multimedia. They make it sound like you get all the iOS and OS X plugins and amplitube included with the pedal. Well some you do as freebie hook and bait and others you have to buy. They do give you Amplitube 4 Deluxe which is good, (4)-T-Racks processors, Mic Room, Ableton Live 9 Lite (Mac/PC), Amplitube Acoustic, VocalLive and Mic Room for iOS .I already previously bought Amplitube Max for OS X and most of the iPad amps & stomp effects apps for iOS. Previously using iRig HD as interface into iPad Pro 12.9 1st Gen. This pedal allows you to control amp and stomp effects for live performances and studio using stomp mode and LIVE settings and to scroll between user saved settings and favorites. I am constantly tweaking my user settings. I mount iPad on separate stand with an extension cable not included, so I can control some settings with my fingers. tips and tricks. I like how IK Multimedia approaches tone through modeling Amplifiers very quality sounding industry top of the line manufacturers. Tuner is good. I figured out by accident by placing finger and holding on volume knobs on amps using ASSIGN CONTROL to assign a selected parameter to pedal or external controller. You can save this to your settings and the parameters you select are highlighted in faint yellow color. I was wanting to see a volume pedal and this satisfied my desire. Having to have an iPad or Computer is not cheap to use with this pedal, but top of the line stuff here IMHO. IK Multimedia is an Italian company and product. I would say this falls into the Ferrari category of effects and control pedals.JamnJohnny
I have been playing guitar for a long time. I was certified by the Recording Workshop in Ohio, for studio recording (though I am an amateur). I will admit, I already owned an iPhone 8s, and had already purchased a few of the amp models in the app to use with iRig HD, which I feel is important, because if this product is to be used with iOS, it comes with a very limited set of amps. On PC/Mac it has much wider utility out of the box. However, this product is great. The tones I have been getting are fantastic, I can emulate famous tones I hear on records, pretty much on the fly, the presets are not great, but the recording is, imo, high quality and sound really good. I have not used this on an iPhone 7, and have heard there are issues, but on PC and my iPhone 8s, it has worked great. Because I liked this so much, I splurged and bought a new iPad, and upgraded the software to the MAX version, and I really love, it. I have had the stomp for about a month and a half, and bought the iPad 12 days ago, I will be returning it and getting more storage, because I have already created so much new content from the ease of use, I am worried I'll fill up the smaller capacity at only 32gb. The only real negative I have experienced, has been: if I have the app running on my iOS device, and unplug and the stomp from my device, and then reconnect the stomp, it will not work. I have to stop the app, reconnect the stomp and restart the app. It's annoying but no big deal, as I don't have to unplug it very often in the middle of using it, but enough that I noticed the issue.Nel
First of all, I paid $200 for the floor pedal that controls my amp, and that’s all it does, but this for $300 for me wasn’t a hard choice honestly. The first thing I did was plug my phone into it, then ran a cable to my practice amp, and it sounds great! It was so easy to use since I already have AmpliTube for the iPhone, and I’m looking forward to checking out Ableton 10 lite and the AmpliTube custom shop (both came with it), but I also use some Positive Grid products, like Bias FX and JamUp. I was happily surprised to find out, with a small amount of “googling”, that this can be used with just about anything you’d want to use it with. You just have to slightly mess around with the midi assignments (look it up if you’re scared, it’s super easy) and you can use it as a controller for other amp/music programs and recording software. I think this thing is built like a tank, and since I used the payment plan through AMS, it was a really easy choice for the price.KillBill
