1. Guild F-2512e 12-String Acoustic Guitar Maple
Product Details:
This guitar comes with a first-rate roadrunner case. this is a beautiful 12 string acoustic. the top is a lovely spruce. i have tried in three photos to make clear the inch long scratch on the top near the strap button. as far as scratches go, this one is placed pretty well. it goes with the grain, as you can see in the photos, so you have to catch it in the light just right to see it. sides and back are maple, and the arched back, with its tiger eye-style markings, is especially beautiful. as you can imagine, it has a bright yet robust ringing sound. it does have a piezo pickup, and the electronics, like everything else on this guitar, work perfectly. it has been kept in a humidity-controlled, smoke-free home. it comes with a roadrunner case that is in perfect structural condition, but the previous owner had children who chose to do a little light coloring on the top.

Reviews:
First off, some people don't know the real characteristics of a Guild 12 string. And, no, they aren't ALL supposed to be deep….The wood determines the sound. Denser wood, deeper sound…lighter wood, brighter the sound…I bought one after playing MANY 12 strings. Including Taylor, Martin, Takamine….and this one was my favorite. Frets easy, sound is bright yet full, loud, and just a great guitar. As for the electronics..ehh..not the best…but…I am running a LR Baggs acoustic preamp pedal and it brings the guitars natural sound. I turn up the bottom just a bit…sounds amazing…LOVE THIS GUITAR…and it's beautiful to boot….Jamie
I ran into one of these in a guitar store and was immediately impressed compared to the other 12-strings in the acoustic room. It's not a Guild 512, but it has a good, solid sound and nice neck. I was concerned about the tuners, but they seem to work fine and stay in tune and they are the same as on the deluxe Westerly models. My guitar showed up with a detached soundhole control. I almost sent it back, but I liked the sound of the guitar enough that I just decided to reattach the soundhole control with some double sided tape. We'll see how that holds up, but I wasn't impressed with the original glue job. Otherwise, nice guitar. A 12-string has so much going on sonically, that I don't think I need a more expensive model to get good sound. The pickup sounds nice, too. I also like the satin finish. Good guitar. Very good guitar for the price.Victor
This is the worst guitar for the money I have ever purchased. My brother took sick just before it was delivered. I never got a chance to check this guitar before the time expires. Where should I start. To say this guitar's flyncey is an understatement. The neck is very uneven! The body is so thin even at its great size it cannot give a deep tone. The head of this guitar is heavier than the whole guitar. I see positive reviews on this guitar and I wonder which cartoon characters are posting them or if they are even real. The sound system is is pathetic! It does not matter which amplifier or PA system I play it through it is totally inadequate. And it is incapable of being used in any type of venue through any type of sound system. Why put it in there at all. Guild should be ashamed of itself!!!!! If you are looking for a quality guitar at a reasonable price that plays well! THIS ISN'T IT!Jake

Reviews:
I love this guitar. It's the best sounding axe I have ever played. Hard to put down.
I have a vintage Takamini 12 string that I love. It's a beauty. But there is a reason Guild is considered the 12 string king. Clearly they put serious time into designing and making this guitar. You just have to pick up this and immediately are aware the quality, strength, tone of this is on another level. It projects a rich tone unlike anything I've ever heard. The build and action is perfect. It's an extremely easy guitar to play. The neck is ridiculously strong and can handle thick strings but I recommend lighter gauge still. It makes it even more of a gem to play and sounds amazing and you don't need as much truss rod.Scott
Great tone and volume. It has warmth and dimension when played lightly but can produce a tremendous range without ever sounding harsh or overplayed. It is responsive to player input and responds well different styles and techniques of playing. It is the first 12-string that I have ever played that works well with capo and slide. I am excited to try out alternate tunings and string gauges.JAC

Reviews:
Ok so it's Chinese made, but this is why it does not cost 1500. The build quality is good, the setup out of the box was great. Low action and easy to play, even accounting for wider than standard 6 string neck. ( And I don't have long fingers) The electrics work great and the hidden nature of controls is cool, if you don't want a big hole cut in the side of your guitar. Solid woods throughout, with great finish. Weakest point is the tuners, but it holds tune well for a 12 string, which in itself is unheard of!jacol-431
I've wanted a Guild 12-string since college, over over 40 years ago. Back then I had a Lyle Hummingbird clone 12-string, which sounded okay (laminated body, spruce top, Japanese manufacture.) Before I left college I also bought a Guild G-37, blonde, arch back 6-string. I still have both guitars. I loved the sweet, well balanced tone of the G-37, but could never afford one of their 12-strings to mate up with it. Fast forward to now – haven't played any of my guitars in several years, and wanted to get back into it. With the Westerly Collection, a 12 string was now affordable, and all the reviews and videos convinced me that this was the time! My new F2512E Deluxe arrived the other day, and it's stunning! Flawless finish, precision inlays, and oh that tone! Just like the tone of some of my favorite artists from the folk era, like John Denver. Can't wait to try Rocky Mountain High on this baby, but I'll also be learning or relearning some more contemporary tunes as well. Thanks Guild for making an affordable but terrific sounding 12!Mike
Bought this guitar to add to my acoustic collection. For this price my exoectations were low as I own a Martin, Gibson, Ovation Elite and Yamaha Transacoustic all which cost considerbly more so I was abslutely blown away by this guitar. It came perfectly setup out of the box with nice low action-no adjustment needed. The glossy sunburst finish over the flamed maple back and sides is absolutely beautiful-the top and is matched spruce and the back is matched flamed maple. Beautiful shimmery sound and the pickup sounds great plugged into my deluxe reverb amp. The satin neck finish is smooth and the frets are smooth and polished. The quality of this guitar is outstanding-I could not find a flaw in its material or construction anywhere. Nice bright maple jumbo guitar that I am glad I purchased. Don't let the price point and the made in China sticker scare you away-this guitar holds its own against my Martin HD-35, Gibson hummingbird and my other acoustic guitars. I bought a gator jumbo case to keep it safe and the ase fits nicely.DWB

Reviews:

If youre craving that 60s choral, jangly guitar tone defined by the beatles and the byrds, the starfire iv st 12-string both sounds and looks the part. based on our popular starfire iv st, this thinbody semi-hollow electric has the added power of 6 more strings! premium features include an all-mahogany body, solid spruce center block, ebony fingerboard, and guilds hallmark mahogany neck with maple center seam. instead of a harp tailpiece as seen on the first guild electric 12-string (the starfire xii made from 66-74), this modern version has a tune-o-matic bridge with a stopbar tailpiece for increased sustain and stability, imperative for keeping those extra strings in tune. the starfire iv st 12-string includes dual lb-1 little bucker pickups, replicas of guilds original smaller size humbucking pickups. the guild lb-1 little bucker was first offered in 1962 as an upgrade from single coil pickups. tonally, it has a little more jangle than a traditional paf humbucker. the resistance and inductance of these pickups sit comfortably between a typical single coil and typical humbucker contributing to the airy nature of the lb-1 without compromising its warmth. the lb-1 has a unique footprint, placing it in-between a mini-bucker and a full size humbucker.

Reviews:
Warm, airy, articulate pickups. Incredibly smooth to play. Beautiful appointments and finish. This is a beautifully made guitar. The pickups have a great texture to their sound. I love the master volume knob. The tremolo is smooth. The inlay work and binding are clean. Just kinda stunned with the build quality and playability. The nut on mine was binding just a bit, so I took it to my luthier. When I got it back, he was full of praise for the instrument. He said it was on par with any US Guild he had worked on. That's high praise indeed. Quick setup and the action is low and smooth. Can't put it down.
I play bass, but I’m occasionally called on to play rhythm guitar, particularly in a church setting. I bought this for its size (comfortable to strum, but not heavy or bulky) and for its versatility (the split coil gives so many sound options). In addition, I’ve been really pleased with its looks – the colour is a deep, rich, “woody” red: not at all brash or plasticy. The tone (unplugged) is fabulous, and through a practice amp it’s naturally clear & bright. Overdriven, it’s therefore easy to control your sound – unlike some semi-hollows, more gain doesn’t have to mean a muddy sound. The setup out of the box was ok, though the action was a bit high for me. But it’s a quality guitar, so even I have managed to adjust it with no problems. I wasn’t sure about it at first, but even after a couple of weeks I’ve really warmed to it – it has personality, style and grace.
Set up to perfection.. plays like a dream…. Sound and feel is perfect for 60s jangle, but then softens beautifully for those early 70s proggy sounds that I don’t normally own up to . Bought at the same time as my Furch. Red… I have spoken of the first class service that I received in more detail in that review, and I shall spare you a repeat, as I am usually a curmudgeonly old bu**er, and it’s not normally in my nature to speak so highly and warmly of someone twice in one day!!!😃😃😃😃😃Martin K.

Reviews:
So glad I added this to the GUITARSENAL! I currently have Martins, Taylors, and a Gibson, and have owned a few other brands as well. This one's a keeper! Just something about the tone—something totally different that is a welcome addition! Plays really well, and no sharp fret ends! While I always take my new guitars to The Luthierie Shop, I'm not sure I need to take this one—it plays so well! I'll enjoy this one for years to come!Sweet William
Even though I returned mine to American Music Supply, I am inclined to give it a top review. It just wasn’t for me. The tonal quality is considerably bright and crisp, very similar to that of a Taylor. For a mahogany guitar, it was very bright. Too bright for me. Compared to Martin, a Martin Mahogany is less bright and warmer. There is also an incredible natural reverb to the Guild M-20. Yet, for my ears it was a little to much. I prefer the darker tones of a Martin Mahogany. The Guild M-20 is comfortable to play and hold, is similar in size to a traditional parlor guitar. Is also nicely constructed and built to last. If a brighter toned mahogany with a strong sustained natural reverb is what you need, this guitar is for you.Rob H.
My Guild M-20 Vintage Sunburst is incredible. The build and finish is impeccable. The neck is very comfortable, string spacing is ideal, and the action is low. Intonation is spot on. I love the look and feel of this guitar. But the best part is the playability and the sound! The guitar is very responsive, whether fingerstyle, flatpick, strumming with or without a pick. I get a wide variety of sounds depending on how I play… and IT IS A JOY TO PLAY! I like guitars with binding and some "bling." This guitar has neither. It is very simple and I like it that way. The question is, when do I remove the plastic from the pickguard? Ha. I highly recommend this guitar.Michael K.

Reviews:
Beautiful and reach sound and very balanced, extremely comfortable neck, excellent craftsmanship. The easiest playing acoustic guitar I have played. …And the most beautiful and best sounding one. Great for strumming but also equally great at finger picking. Love it! The onboard electronics are great too!
The guitar sounds amazing!! However the guitar top where the pieces join below the bridge was finished terribly.. a visible line where sanding or finishing was done poorly and even a split in the finish from the bottom binding up at the seam. The ‘plush Quilted deluxe case left diamond shaped abrasions in the back finish that did not come out when cleaned.. there are buffing marks all over the finish. I returned the guitar. I bought my first Guild in 1972.. I own 7.. this was a big disappointment!Jim
Overall: For an instrument with an MSRP of over 4000.00 the condition of the new D55 ASB I received was an embarrassment to the Guild name. The end block was drilled crooked which made installing the strap pin impossible, the main back cross brace below the sound hole was completely unglued, and there were scratches on the top and back .. including diamond shaped abrasions on the back lower bout (in the finish) clearly caused by a very poorly designed case. I’ve been buying Guild guitars since 1972.. never again.. I returned the D55 and bought a Martin HD28 Ambertone

Reviews:
First and foremost this guitar is beautiful to look at and play. The sound is rich, and with a little adjustment to the truss rods the action is excellent. The fit and finish is first class, I have it side by side with my Martin D28 from 1971 and the finish is comparable. Even the case is great, it's light weight, but seems to be as strong as a wood or clam shell case, Maybe the most amazing thing about this purchase was the price from Jet, they killed everyone else by a considerable margin, and threw in a bunch of neat accessories, you can't go wrong.Kimberly M
Great Buy! I am Glad i bought this Guild 12 String. It is gorgeous and easy to play. The included case is perfect!Dave

Reviews:
It is a solid all round guitar that plays easy and has a tremendously rich and resonant sound-it is big like hearing the sound of a whole orchestra. I am not a very clean player, but it corrects a multitude of playing sins. It is a great playing and great sounding instrument which I would strongly recommend because of its ease of playing and incredibly full sound! If you are serious about your durability, sound, clean playing, ease of playing, and can afford the best, then you should stop, try, listen, and buy the Guild F 512 E Twelve String because it is the Cadillac of the twelve string guitars!!!!!!!!natbo-804
Right from the box the guitar was tuned and set up perfectly! This is absolutely a killer 12-string guitar with excellent craftsmanship from the folks at Guild. Shimmering highs and full bodied lows, excellent play ability up and down the neck. By far the best 12-string I've ever played. Comes with an gorgeous case with humidifier and a nice-to-have written certificate.
I have had the instrument for a little over 6 months. It plays fantastic right out of the case. It does not have tuning issues and plays exceptionally well for a 12 string guitar. If you are looking for a high-quality 12 string guitar, then this is the one. Extremely happy, and it sounds great being recorded!Edward

Reviews:
I went in a shop in Dortmund Germany just looking for flutes and keyboards for my wife. I had put myself on a guitar buying freeze, to quiet my wife, I am sure some of you guys know what I mean. then I wondered, by accident into the guitar parlor with 100 guitars in the room. So for merely educational purposes, I tried to play every solid wood guitar. I started from the cheapest to the Martins, Taylors, and Lakewoods. Well I was not a fan of the Taylor, I had a Martin at home and I wanted to really buy a Lakewood. But the last guitar the shop owner bought to me was the Mahogany Guild. I strummed it and it was the best sounding guitar to my ears. I compared it to the sprue top Guilds and this one was better and much better than the Lakewood. So I told the owner I would think about this hoping someone would come and buy it in the next moment. Well, My wife bought the guitar. I was one smiling dude. I kept my mouth shut and left with a great guitar and a cool looking case showing the map of the worldPalm Beach Rich
The guitar is beautiful and has a great tone, but the action is high (not certain if the nut will need to be shaved), and the strings are heavier than I'm used to making it harder to play. There is one note that when played there is fret buzz. The blemish isn't noticeable. I can't wait until things open up so I can get it to a luthier. I'm sure I will love it once it's setup properly.therapidone
I own the 2014 version of this model (the D125.) The tone is rich and even when strummed but articulates well for flatpicking melodies. When I played it for the first time I was surprised how vibrant it was. After playing other mahogany guitars, I wasn't expecting to like the sound this much. The action is low without buzzing on the frets. I really enjoy playing this instrument.Peter

I got this as a backup for my 1980 Guild D-25 warhorse that needs a new under-the-saddle pickup. It handles pretty much the same as my old guitar, but lacks the unamplified projection/ volume of the old girl. But I do like the looks, sound and feel of this new instrument, and am looking forward to it improving with age like the old D-25. So far, so good…. will provide follow up after my Friday night gig.Chris Z
I have had many acoustic over the years, my last was Taylor but wasn't thrilled with it so I sold it 4 months after I bought it. I went into ASH and was all ready to buy an epiphone masterbilt when my sales guy Steven Sagel (yes, his real name)said, can I show you another guitar? The minute I put the GUILD D120ce in my hand and played one chord, I said Ill take this! Solid body, not to bright and super warm full bodied sound like I like, better than the Martin for my taste.Philly B

1.Songwriting/singing. 2.Warm, wonderfull, rich sound. 3.Neck a bit too large for my hand, unfortunately.bub
I bought this guitar after owning the big brother for some years when the Guild Chinese made Solid wood guitars came out. This restock was half the price of the standard model and I found it played very well. It is not a big strummer but very articulae and bluesy. I also bought the D-140 restock , but it had issues.Palm Beach Rich

Reviews:
This is a terrific guitar. Rich, lush sound. Highs are round and full. Lows are deep and clear. Well balanced. Each string rings out nicely. All in all, a beautiful sounding instrument and great value for the money. I also love the shape and feel of the neck. It's a bit chunky, which suits my playing style really well. The 1.75" nut and 2.25" string spacing at the bridge make this a comfortable and high quality fingerpicking instrument. I use it mostly for country blues, and it sounds great. Really happy with this purchase!Jeff
I received my new OM-120 from Guitar Center with fast shipping. The guitar is perfect! No flaws or glue squeeze out inside anywhere. The finish is a little thicker than I care for but does not detract from the wonderful, rich, compressed African mahogany sound that the guitar produces.Bobby

Reviews:

Reviews:
My guild 1212 arrived from Sweetwater well packaged and on time. Kudos to Sweetwater, they really pay attention to their customers. Their level of customer care is so rare that it almost takes you by surprise. The guitar is very good value for the money, very playable. A 12-string is not my everyday guitar, but this is a good addition to recordings and I can bring it out occasionally on a live gig. The sound is a little more compressed than high end 12-string guitars but very usable and enjoyable to play.
I bought this guitar as a close out from a local dealer. I wanted a 12 string for a reasonable price, as I am a novice player, for the times that I wanted that 12 string jangle! After the first few strums, I knew this guitar would do quite nicely. It has an incredible feeling neck that is very easy to fret and the sound is clear and full. I cannot believe that this guitar is this good for the price. All solid wood body, bridge, and fret board. Very desirable features for a reasonable price. And did I mention that it is a great player? Although not a US made guitar, I feel that the quality is equal.Dan

Reviews:
Excellent product, great price, fast delivery, superb customer services. Highly recommend this Company.Victoria L.
Best value in an all wood guitar in the market. Plays beautifully and has a great feel. I own several other parlor guitars, and none compare to the sound this one produces. I outfitted it with silk and steel strings as I do with all my guitars and it was simply better than any of the others. My others are Martins and Taylors.charloff2
