Reviews:
The Mosaic pedal is easy to use, and produces a realistic 12 string effect. It comes with it's own power supply, and I recommend using it as it seems to use quite a lot of energy to produce the effect. When I first connected it in my chain, powered by the wimpy Snark power supply, it didn't really work. The light came on when I pressed the on/off button, but the effect wasn't happening. Then I used the power supply that came with it. Suddenly, out came the shimmering sound of an electric 12 string. In short, it might not sound like a Rickenbacker, but its close enough, and much less expensive. If you want the sound of a 12 string, but don't want to spend the money, this may be the perfect substitute.jonaha650
Overall: Ive been using my Roland Gr-55 (w/ GK-3) to add 12 string shimmer to my sound for years. This little box is amazing! Tracking is impeccable, and the controls are so simple I was up and running within seconds! The metal box is sturdily built, and COMES with a muscular 9v, 1.3amp power supply(?!?!) Switching is silent, and the effect tracks tonal changes between pickups well enough that once dialed in, I dont need to touch the tone knob. If I get insanely picky, I kinda wish there was a separate out for the 12string sound, but that would negatively affect the affordable price and kind of defeat the 1 pedal= 2 instrument simplicity. If you never ever wished you had a 12 string, but it antway! You'll see what you've been missingDennis
I have both a 6 string and 12 string Rickenbacker. I don't normally like to take my 12 string gigging because I've got enough other gear to haul around and the 12 string is only used on a few songs. Plus all the associated issues with tuning, string replacement, swapping guitars, etc. The Mosaic does a pretty credible job of making my six string sound like a 12 string. It does not produce a perfect reproduction, but I find it good enough that I'm using it regularly. Considering the technology needed to generate the 12 string sound from a six string instrument, I'm actually very impressed that it does a good a job as it does. And the fact that it is polyphonic is icing on the cake. I've used electronic harmonizers to try and duplicate a 12 string sound, but they always failed in two areas. You could not play chords and the high B and E strings sounded just awful because the harmonizer would try and play notes an octave above on those strings as well (usually rendering this approach useless).. I found that the Mosaic gives a pretty credible 12 string reproduction on the E, A, D, and G strings. Fortunately the upper B and E strings do not get the octave treatment. They remain with the original pitch, but they don't quite have the full tonal resonance of a true 12 string. It isn't bad, just not quite perfect. All in all, I feel its a good product, does a good enough job and I'm happy with the 12 string emulation. I think its a credible option to consider if you need a 12 string sound, but can't justify the cost and issues of owning a true 12 string.bgb92549
2. Caline Cp-12 Pure Sky Guitar Pedal Effect Highly Pure And Clean Overdrive Guuitar Fx
Product Details:
Specifications:
Reviews:
The audio quality of this little pedal is outstanding. It gives 4-5x clean boost and after that the output ranges from subtle breakup to full-on rock distortion. It doesn't sound all that great with full-on distribution into a clean amp but few pedals do. But hitting a cranked am on the edge of breakup it sounds great. At full rotation the tone controls produce a flat response. Turning the controls back produces bass and treble cut which is exactly what an overdrive pedal needs to do to keep the distortion sounding crisp. This is a keeper.rockbroker
This is absolutely a shameless clone of the Timmy circuit by Paul Cochrane that walks the line between the Timmy and the hugely expensive Vemuram Jan Ray. For the money, this cannot be beat. It is EXCELLENT and works well with Fender amps (the Timmy did not work well with my fender amps so I sold it). If you want a transparent drive with fantastic tone shaping ability that can walk the line from boost to medium overdrive this is your pedal. I run mine towards the end of the chain and set it to simulate the edge of breakup on my amp. I can have clean with it off, hairy with it on and then hit it with whatever overdrive you have from medium gain to singing lead. I am sad that this may take money away from the person who had the original idea but having owned a Timmy and moved it on, this is AWESOME.saltlessjesus

Reviews:
This is my first chorus pedal. I like the sound and it does what it needs to do. I own several Behringer pedals, and although they are plastic, I never had any quality issues with them. Never felt I needed to be extra careful with them either. I'm mainly using them at home, so they don't need to be build like a tank.
I have heard this Stereo Chorus in action. I wanted one for my own! Back-ordered.?.?.? Wait 3 months?.?.?. ok… I'll wait. It just came in and I have spent 2 glorious weeks finding out what it can do. With one amp (a Peavey Backstage Plus, 10", 35 watts) it sounds pretty good. Not quite as good as my Fender Princeton, 2X10" stereo chorus (I put in a baffle plate to help sonically isolate the 2 speakers…) Played stereo into 2 amps, Crate 35 watts, about 15 feet apart, feeding each one from the stereo outputs, it sounds lush, dreamy, swirly, and full of character. I mostly play ballads and love songs, nylon fingerstyle (think: Love Me Tender, In My life, Morning has Broken.. Side by Side, etc) This stereo chorus, on slow/moderate settings, is perfect to enhance a romantic feeling, without getting syrupy or seasick…. It was definitely worth the wait!!guitarpicker7
Don't buy this pedal. It's cheap, yes, but the quality is no good. First of all, it's made out of plastic. But there are bigger issues. With either of my Fendor Stratocasters, the thing distorts if I run standard-level sound through it. It's very distorted when the chorus is enabled. But even worse, only one of the two output channels actually has the chorus effect. The other output channel is a clean passthrough. The Level control is not stereo, so it only attenuates the output of the channel which has chorus, leaving the other channel at clean-passthrough level. Over-all, this thing is a piece of junk. It's not worth buying, at any price. If you own one, the best thing you can do is try to pawn it, or pitch it into the trashcan. You're much better off with something from Boss or Digitech. You can't buy cheap and expect to have good quality — you'll just end up wasting your money and your time. Life's too short. Just say "no".Ron

5. Tc Electronic – Ditto Looper Pedal
Product Details:
Ditto looper is the looper you try once and love for life. and you simply gotta try it. we've taken all that is good about loopers, trimmed away all the non-essential, mood-killing tech hoopla and ended up with a looper that is intuitive, tons of fun, sounds great and doesn't break the bank.
Specifications:
Weight | 1 lb |
Reviews:
I used this at home with 10 other effect pedals. I really liked the sound quality and ease of use. I was very disappointed when the footswitch broke after about a year or so. Read online this brand has an issue with the switches so that's a deal breaker for me. I went with an MXR delay to replace it because I've had several MXR pedals for many years with great sound and no trouble.Scott
Perfect for practicing. Lay down a simple rhythm loop then you can practice over the top – it's like having an inexhaustible rhythm guitarist jamming with you. Easy overdubs & undos means you can also build up interesting sounds with lots of depth and different sounds. (tip: play your progression through, then without stopping hit the button on the 'one' beat to start recording, then hit it again on another 'one' beat to stop recording/start playing the loop. can be as many bars long as you like – 5 min recording time is way more than I'd ever need!) With only one button and one volume knob it's very simple to use. Many other loopers are so complicated (boss rc-3 I'm looking at you), they take the fun out of just plugging in and jamming. Of course if you need the complication of a drum machine built in to your looper pedal then this one isn't for you). The sound out of this thing is perfect. I use it with many pedals and they all sound great recorded and played back (an analog delay, a few fuzzes, metal zone, overdrive, distortion, phaser, big muffs, small clone, tube screamer) – just be sure to put the looper last in your pedal chain. I'd highly recommended this to anyone thinking about getting a looper. The build quality is great, the button feels sturdy & it's very small. The only thing I'd change about it would be to add the ability to export your recorded loop via the usb, but on this model the usb is only for updating it's firmware. I think the more expensive ditto loopers have this function… but overall I think it's the best pedal I've ever owned!girlbefore

This is so feature rich you have to go slower. Also some of the preset levels on the Boost side almost blew up my amp and half stack. Be careful with the volume until you know what you have. 127 memory locations with the last update from 4. Sounds incredible but have to adjust carefully and the EQ is Active. It can really boost or cut but amazingly low noise to no noise and there is a great Noise Gate also that is very musical. Boss put a lot of thought into this and that shows so well. This is a one stop do all OD/distortion pedal. The tone is fantastic. I love it. Running it threw a Marshall DSL 20 watt head and Orange Micro dark into a Randall 2×12. 7. J. Rockett Archer Ikon Boost/overdrive Pedal
Product Details:
If touch sensitivity, harmonic content and string clarity are your thing (and they should be) this pedal will provide you all of the aforementioned and more. the dumble needs no introduction and this is where inspiration for this pedal has been taken. the level control adds a clean boost and can function independently of the ratio. the ratio control allows you to find the sweet spot between gain versus boost. this is where you will find that classic ods sound. that sweet spot will depend on your guitar and amp so experiment. the deep control will scoop the mid when you turn it to the left and add a thick low midrange when turned to the right. the dude can go from clean boost to classic dumble sounds to high gain. please be careful with the output this dude is loud! as with all the tour series, the pedal is designed and built to be robust enough for anything the touring musician can throw at it.

Reviews:
Super pedal …. has alot of character, and very flexible for complementing one's setup. If this circuit is indeed the closest yet to a true Klon, then I now see what all the hoopla has been about …. though I would never have even considered going after one of those ridiculously priced after-market Klon's. But with a price under $200, this is definitely a good deal. I would recommend this pedal for any player who wants a top-drawer clean boost, and the extended flexibility of merging in various levels of tasty overdrive. Also, the Ikon works very well with other pedals in one's chain, both before & after the Ikon. Rgds.abradfordajb
This is the most versatile overdrive I have ever had. Not only does the gain offer a wide – and always clear – range, the tone actually does something! Quite a lot, actually. The video on this v the silver model v an original Klon were very useful. I chose this one as it seemed a tad warmer, better suited to my mainly humbucker sound. But I would say I have found some great tones also with a Tele, Strat & Ricky, so that ‘best ever’ rating.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
This pedal is very versatile drive pedal. I could easily see 2 of these on my board. As a clean boost, it works very well and creates a very smooth creamy tone, but when the drive gets set above 10 oclock, you start to see some crunch added in. Around 12 and above, you hit some serious overdrive/distortion. This replaced a Tumnus Deluxe, which is also a great pedal, but it did pretty much what my tubescreamer did, but this pedal stands out! I've used this for Rhythm and Lead guitar with many different guitars and it works well with gain around 11am-1pm, level around 12, and treble around 12. I get lots of compliments on my tone and I'm glad I purchased this.Eric j
8. Valeton Dapper Bass Effects Strip
Product Details:
Very convenient pedal that takes up very little space but does a whole lot. it has a quality preamp and di, so you can go straight to the board and leave the amp at home if you wish. you also get some key effects: chorus, octaver, fuzz/synth, boost, and tuner. for a lot of bass players, this maybe all they need. i bought it because i wanted a small set up for my gigs that i wasn't going to need a lot of effects for or need to drastically change my tone from song to song. it served its purpose well until i bought my helix. once i got that, i just had to bring it to all my gigs. so i haven't been using this pedal anymore and probably won't anytime soon, thus why i'm listing it. it still works great but does have a bit of cosmetic wear on it (as shown in the pics).

This is a great multi effects pedal/DI. Its all I need. Dont let its small size fool you. Its got some weight to it, so I assume its probably well built. All metal. Each effects sections knobs light up a different color. Tuner is accurate. I didnt give a full 5 stars because I wouldve liked a rate knob in the chorus section & maybe some more options in the compressor section. Overall, I recommend this pedal. Pleasantly surprised with the build & sound quality. I doubt Ill use the Dirty Q (envelope filter) much but its there if I need it. Spend a little time with each section of this pedal & Im sure you will find at least one setting youll like!fuelman1975

I wanted a simple, easy to use octave pedal to add some new colours to my sounds, this is perfect for that ! The sound is a really nice quality, it tracks smoothly and works well with my other pedals so I can simply fill out the sound, create nice lush harmonies or push things into some weird and wonderful places that are quite unique.Neil
Does exactly what it claims to. The upper fifth and octave sounds a bit synth-like when played clean, but when fed through an overdrive definately delivers the desired effect of a crazy, beefy sound. However, if playing clean and accompanying a distorted guitar, the octave up helps to solidify harmony lines without the synth sound being too noticeable at all. When using the octave down (with boost) you can make sounds like a tractor being sick (in a good way), which is always fun!Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Title says it all, and this reverb still gets 5 stars. You can't really imagine how many unique sounds you can get out of combining 12 different reverbs, & you would never imagine the way they work together. I've got a long bow sounding reverb, mixed with shimmer, & the shimmer cleans it up so much that I can pick some blues with great clarity, while having an electric orchestra like sound accompanying me, without getting in the way of my playing or muddying up the sound. It's really remarkable. You need to have some aptitude with this pedal, it clearly has some nobs & alt functions, so be willing to tweak a little, or read the manual. Although it's also fairly simple to use, with basically 24 presets with the dual reverb. It is rather small for all it does, but I've got big hands and have no problem with it. This is a no brainer, amazing studio quality reverbs in a pedal.Jeigh
Got this pedal to pair with my OB-6 for some extra spacey reverb and am very impressed. All the algos sound great and the tweakabilty makes experimentation really fun, plus you can save your work to a preset which is huge for me. UI is very intuitive for such a small box and makes hitting that sweet spot a breeze. Never knew the joy of putting two types of reverb on one sound before this pedal. Definitely recommend.Merdoque
Sound: The sound is very lush and rich, without any grainy, static noise. Using it in stereo is not required to get good sounds, but you can really enhance the reverb wash by using a stereo setup. Features: The fact that you can save presets you come up with, and alter those presets without changing them once you have saved is essential for anyone wanting to use this pedal live. Ease of Use: Figuring out how to use this pedal is super easy, even without the manual in front of you. It is very user-friendly and intuitive, and it is easy to fix any "mistakes" you make while experimenting. The print is a little bit small, making it impossible to see on a dark stage. To that end, it definitely serves to have a small lamp attached to your board if you plan on using this pedal in a live setting. Quality: I've been using this thing for about a month, stomping on it pretty hard and the running it at maximum silliness into two loud amps. just like all of my other electro-harmonix pedals, it is built very well and feels like I will be able to keep it around for years. Value: This is absolutely a fantastic value! Often times, when we hear the word "value" we immediately think of the word "cheap." This pedal, although not cheap, will get sounds that you can only get from reverb pedals costing at least $100 more. Manufacturer Support: I haven't had to send any products back, or deal with the warranty or service department, but every time I have emailed with questions I have received a personal response, so I can vouch for the fact that they care about their customers. Overall: I have had this pedal for a little over a month now, and it has exceeded my expectations (which were already high!), much like the Oceans 11 did. Creating and saving presets in each mode is very simple, and the fact that you can run two reverbs at a time, either in series or in parallel, makes for some interesting and colorful sonic combinations. Every single setting has at least two modes that you can switch between, and the sounds are unique, while still being very musical. This is a real treat for anyone who wants a high-quality reverb pedal that doesn't completely break the bank.Adam

I suppose for a specific type of sound for someone this could suffice. I have other options and have used other inexpensive distortion units for decades. Just lacks Sonic character, dynamics and didn't add anything positive to my sound. I DO really like their volume/wah mini pedal…they are all well-made and terrific. I wanted to support this product but it was a disappointment. Do your reviews carefully before deciding.spacecoaster44
I'm a studio engineer and have 7 different chorus pedals most name brand and are expensive but for the price.., this pedal cannot be beaten. Put this together with a couple of other pedals and you will never look back. Lush Setting is absolutely killer. Good quality construction and noise free. I play and record in stereo but for the price you can easily afford 2 of these sweet sounding pedals. Hey for the money you cant lose.818eleven11

This is the amazing Boss DS-1 distortion pedal, loved by all who use it. Amazing value at just £55. I won't bore you with stories about how robust it is, because we all know Boss equipment lasts forever. It looks and feels great, but most importantly, sounds incredible. I play punk rock, and with my Gibson SG Special, plugged into my Marshall JCM 900 this delivers exactly the sound I want. I loved that in the manual it gives example sound setting, one of which was British Punk. That just made me smile. I knew instantly it was right up my street. Oh, and if you're into electronics, this thing is made of pin-through-hole components, so it leaves it open for a good bit of modding. There are plenty of guides for that online. Sitting in my Boss BCB-30 pedal board this never fails to make me smile.Thomas B.
Now I don't hate it, but Its not my first go to pedal. I like the more modern BOSS "Metal Core". It is however like all BOSS PEDALS built like a tank, extremely reliable and a great first pedal. For the money, this is a super value. I found that I like it for "Gain Stacking" in combination with the BOSS MD-2"Mega Distortion" and a few other pedals. Even two DS-1 DISTORTION together improve the performance to me. Overall it's not terrible and I see were for some it could really be a price but I lean towards Heavy… Heavy Metal and for that it's more a corvette when you need a Lamborghini. Do I hate it, NO… I actually own two of them.kt.precisio-7
I have a 60w Fender Deville amp. Lovely clean sounds straight from the amp but couldn't really use the overdrive channel without the volume getting to an inconsiderate level at home. This pedal has addressed that issue really well. This pedal now provides me really raunchy distortion while providing a greater control for volume. The pedal also provides a nice boost in changing between a clean channel directly from the amp and then through the pedal. Very pleased with this investment, particularly for the price. Very easy to use.Gregory H.
13. Fender Lost Highway Phaser Pedal
Product Details:
Made popular in the late-1960s and early 1970s, phasers create a sense of motion and add dimension to your sound. the fender lost highway phaser brings powerful, flexible analog phasing to your rig. foot-switchable fast and slow speeds—each with their own independent rate and depth controls—let you easily alternate between slow, moody phase shifting all the way to rapid and warped modulation. the wave toggle switch selects between sine and triangle waveforms while switchable 4- and 8-stage phasing makes it easy to add extra resonance on the fly. the sensitivity control allows modulation rate changes based on your playing dynamics—dig in and the intensity of the phasing increases. designed by fender's in-house team of experts, the lost highway phaser is an all-original fender circuit. to ensure this pedal is performance ready fender let musicians kick it around, took their feedback to heart and refined it. the chassis is crafted from lightweight, durable anodized aluminum, and the amp jewel led gives your pedalboard the classic fender look. the led backlit knobs show your control settings on a dark stage at a glance. plug into the lost highway phaser and add the swirling, pulsing sound of true analog phasing to your pedalboard.

Reviews:
I've been looking for a phaser that has more controls than a simple speed/rate knob that I liked and could afford. I had a Mutron way back in the 70s that I sold in the 80s. I have never been able to find another I could afford so I settled for a 1 knob wonder because everyone thinks they are great. Unfortunately I didn't. The phase from the 1 knob wonder was way too drastic and created chaos in my tone. I got a gift card for GC recently and took a gamble on this phaser, but I'm glad I did. This pedal is fantastic. Very versatile, lots of adjustability, goes from subtle to over the top and everywhere in between, 2 different speeds can be set and switched between the two. I would highly recommend this phaser to anyone looking for more out of a phaser than just a rate or speed control.Robert K.
Overall: This pedal sounds great, it's nice having two chorus options. You can get lots of different sounds out of it. It's very clear sounding. I am satisfied with the sound. I also like the overall look of the pedal but i'm mixed on the lights on this thing.1. I do not like the green led. It is insanely bright. 2. I do like the led lights on the knobs, they're a nice blue color . You can turn them off but you won't because it is easier to see the knobs when the bright green led is lit. 3. Next to the sensitivity knob is an orange led that lights in response to playing speed.4. There are light green leds (normal brightness) that indicate which of the two chorus settings you are currently on and and one that blinks with the rate of the chorus setting you are currently on. Overall though, i like the pedal, i'm definitely keeping it. The sound is the most important thing and it sounds great. It's just a lot going on with the lights. All my other pedals just have a light indicate they're on. I may have to put tape over that green led.Paul
14. Joyo Voodoo Octave Fuzz Jf-12 Pedal
Product Details:
This pedal is both fuzz and octave in one with the ability to select between the two. the standard fuzz distortion is similar to the ehx big muff, is sufficiently grainy and full. endless sustain fuzz here. the second effect is the out-of-this-world octave sound that you can switch on over the fuzz. this sound is really different, and it's perfect for cool sound effects or alien-sounding tones being blended in with the raw signal. the mid cut allows you to scoop out some of the body. tone allows you to lean it anywhere between thunderous low end or ear bleeding high end. it's a spicy pedal.

This is a sturdy, versatile pedal with a huge range from retro psychedelic to full on insanity, all for a fraction of the price of established brands. Adjusting the settings really gives a huge range of sounds and options that you just do not ordinarily get with a budget pedal. Really impressed, can't fault it.petert2545

15. Digitech Istomp Downloadable Stompbox
Product Details:
These work perfectly and are in decent shape, don't buy these unless you already understand them, because i have no manual. just the 4 pedals and the iphone adapter thingy. got them from a buddy and played around with them on my pedalboard. 2 of them are delays, one is a reverb, and one i have no idea what it is, but i am thinking a boost or compressor. the power shown in the one pic was simply for demonstration – my one spot. that is not included.

Excellent product. Hours of fun.Reviewed by Absolute Music custo
Got mine over a year ago from eBay for 30. Works with the iPhone 4s well but the phone is now a tad out dated but the pedal is fantastic. Most of the downloaded pedals are free so playing around with them is fun. I would recommend this at a low cost, good for home use but lags somewhat for live as it can take time to load the next pedal.. Lovely sounding pedals tho.davedave1965

This pedal sounds really nice. It's very bassy. But it's not muddy at all. It's got more gain than most overdrives but it's not really high gain. It's a hair less from being a high gain distortion pedal. I has driving mids and sounds very robust. The tone control is very useful. U can color the tone from a smooth overdrive to a cranked distortion pedal kind of cutting high gain for leads. I'd say it's pretty versatile compared to a super overdrive perhaps. It's also good for boosting an already dirty channel to endless sustain territory. Sorry the picture seems a bit blurry since my camera is broke.ibanezwielder
If you ever doubted whether or not you should go with the Boss Blues Driver then you have made yourself miserable for no reason: turn your amp on and set your controls just to the point where you get that sweet point where it starts to break. Now turn on your Blues Driver and set it to the points of clean and dirty begin to merge and start to jive! You will be astonished by your attack and decay charistic and how that sound—The Sound, will be there, influenced by your inspiration as you flow through the movement of your sound, all compliments of your Boss Blues Driver. "5 Long Years" won't seem so long as you put heart and soul into your music, your performance, your style, your sound. Your Sound. The Sound, courtesy of your Boss Blues Driver!
This is the only overdrive pedal I have so don't have a point of comparison. I chose this over the Tube Screamer for my Telecaster based on YouTube sound comparisons, and certainly don't regret it. While I bought it to use with a Blues Junior, which is currently on backorder from MF, I've been using it on a Champion 40 modeling amp. Through the clean channel, you get a range of overdrive sounds, from crunch, though British into super distorted metal, particularly with the guitar volume cranked up. Switching from clean to modeling channels shows this pedal generates a smooth balanced overdrive sound that you just cannot reproduce with the amp's gain and voice options, which sound thin and tinny. The only minor negative is the power supply – expect to replace the 9v battery immediately, and understand that whenever an input cable is connected the unit is on. I noticed the power light had dimmed from leaving a cable plugged in for a day, even though everything else was off. Can't wait to hear this through a tube amp!Mike
17. Ibanez Ts9 Tube Screamer
Product Details:
The ibanez ts9 tube screamer is a reissue that's just like the original in so many ways. same factory, same components, same housing, same famous seasick-green paint, and the same crankin' overdrive that made the original one of the all-time classic pedals. guitar player called it the best. plug it in. crank it up. you'll hear what all the fuss is about.

Reviews:
It’s an Ibanez tube screamer, so of course it’s wicked. Easy to use, bombproof, and gives you that extra bit of oomf for a big solo. If you want pure dirty blues then I’d go for the 808, but the TS9 is great for rock, it’s got a slightly brighter more aggressive tone. These things really shine with a Strat, but they sound just as great with whatever guitar you’re using, and they are just loads and loads of fun. If you’re currently wondering whether you should buy one, the answer is yes, you should.Victoria E.
Can't say enough good things about the Ibanez Ts9. It's a very versatile pedal and adds a mid boost plus overdrives the preamp in a pleasant sweet way and just adds that extra MOJO or magic something to the guitar tone. Great for lead and rhythm from 80s rock to the most extreme metal bandsaeron_chrom
The tube screamers are, I think, a foundational building block of getting a good blues tone out of your rig. Obviously, your guitar and amp will have a big impact on your sound, but this pedal can help you find that special sweet spot of tone. Being an overdrive pedal rather than a hard distortion pedal, do not expect the long singing sustains you would get from a traditional distortion pedal, but more of a crunch, an added grit. I think the pedal will interface well with a distortion device like OCD, and spatial pedals like MXR Carbon copy, and TC electronics hall of fame… if you can afford them… they are expensive… the price you pay for quality. If you are into blues, this is the pedal. If you are into hard rock, this pedal is good in front of a layered chain of distortion pedals to over drive some killer tones.Jim in the box

Absolutely incredible sounds from this pedal, build quality is brilliant and the different reverb types are endless, only fault that I can say about it was the lack of instructions in the instruction booklet that comes with it ! Pretty much useless as far as how to navigate the preset menu? Fortunately I did find some guidance on YouTube on how to find said presets! But after i found out it’s been an absolute joy to use, I was thinking if it was worth the quite high price tag ? But fear not, it’s worth every penny I can assure you, takes your music production to another level! Stunning 😍colin h.
This pedal is amazing, plain & simple. I was instantly energized in playing through my repertoire when plugging this thing in for the first time. The control knobs allow for creative combinations that make unique sounds I've never before seen in a reverb pedal. There are several creative presets that I instantly knew I could use. All in all, it's an amazing, majestic sounding pedal that is definitely gonna be on my pedal board for a long time coming.

I was pleasantly surprised with this pedal, and all of ground that it covered. I figured that it'd probably only have a single good sound in it, but I found that it was pretty responsive and playable, as long as I kept the tone knob in check. It also had a great range of gain, which seemed pretty extensive for an overdrive pedal. The distortion section also sounded great, and played just as well as any distortion pedal out there. And when blended together, I got tones that you don't usually get with a single pedal on its own. Definitely a winner here.CoopDbomb
Great pedal with powerful effects on my PRS custom guitar with evolution pickup. It's a combination of overdrive and distortion in one package. I love the convenience of playing the sound I like by making adjustment to and from overdrive to distortion, either way it plays well. The only downside is the noise that comes from distortion, must have noise suppressor to pair this with amp. Other than that, it works fine with me.Rocksol
I recently visited Sam Ash after wanting to take my guitar playing to the next step. When I visited the store I asked the associate if the Boss SD-1 was in stock. He informed me that the OS-2 was available and that it included a distortion feature. I asked if I could look at the item, and he explained thoroughly how the pedal worked. He never made any condescending conversation like other associates at other music stores have in the past, which I really appreciated. Afterward he guided me to the XLR cables and supplied me with a power cord so I wouldn't have to rely on 9V batteries. I couldn't wait to try it out once I got home and it's worked so well! I will definitely be going back.OLIVIA
20. Keeley Compressor Plus Pedal
Product Details:
The legendary mr. keeley's creamy compressor gets gorgeous sustain, reminiscent of dimeola playing strawberry fields. sonny landreth tones are ready to roll out of your rig, with this gem at the front end to push all subsequent sounds and pedals into a bit sweeter dimension of smoothness, like a hand polished sculpture made of sound.4 knobs give you a fine tuned tone palette with a wealth of "sweet spots" across a spectrum of tones. can't find a bad one. just leave it on, like butter on your toasty playing. adjust on the fly for getting more moody, more glass, or more grit. flip the switch to set if for your single coils or humbuckers – yeah, keeley thought of that and gave us a head start to set up our primary tonality. this pro level pedal is a classy as can be! the box is long gone, but this pedal is built to last a lifetime of professional enjoyment.

Reviews:
I bought this compressor intending to use it with both Fender Strat and my bass guitar. I am a professional music producer and listened to the unit carefully in the studio headphones. It is a great tool if you know what to use it for. When used with a strat it makes the sound crisp and places the funky clean tone perfectly in the mix. The tone is somewhat on the colder side, with bright fluid sustain added to the sound. Think about it as a sustainer first and then compressor. Great tool in the pallette. However, there are a few things to keep in mind: – the unit makes a sub low cut when engaged even with the minimum effect added to the direct signal. Bassists bear this in mind (unless you are a hardcore punk bassist playing with distortion and a pick and don't care much about your sub bass tone). It can also be felt on the clean electric guitar sound (if it's funky tone in the band setting you would cut off the low end of the strat anyway). – with higher compression ratio settings you get more sustain but some noise is also added. – if you want to use the 9V battery with the unit keep in mind that to change the battery you need to use a screwdriver for 4 screws to remove the back panel of the unit.J
I love this pedal. I play an Epi Les Paul Classic, into my pedalboard, and into a 90's Peavey Bandit. The amp has a Jensen Mod soesker, not the original Scorpion speaker. The Bandit with this speaker has a great clean channel. I'm a long time Fender guy. Strats and Teles. I like a clear, bright fundamental tone. I found myself compensating with the LP and using the bridge pickup a lot. But still not satisfied with the clean tones from the LP. That changed when I put the Keeley Compressor Plus on my board. The conbination of the Blend control and the Tone knob gives me what I want. The Tone control is, to my ear, an exceptional circuit. I get the bright, clear tone I need and superb sustain. This pedal is a godsend for playing slide. The compressor goes before my dirt pedals with beautiful results-1-. I use a Boss SD-1 overdrive and a Donner Dark Mouse – a Rat clone. I'm very impressed with this compressor. I put all controls at about 12:00, which the manual recommends for humbuckers. Minimal tweaks from there to get what I want. I love that it doesn't squash the life out of my pick attack. It is always on. Works great with acoustic/electrics as well. Great, musical piece of gear. Well done, Mr. Keeley.Mister G.
Bought it to replace a cheaper compressor pedal that I wasn't happy with. Having been used to high quality rack compressors, was looking for a compressor pedal that could keep up to the bare minimum quality I need to record at home. Inserted it on my signal chain, turned it on and it was pure magic, just couldn't stop playing and fiddling with the controls. Especially love the blend control, that gives this pedal a lot of versatility. For the price you get amazing quality. Really, buy it, you won't regret it.
