Reviews:
I'm a metal guy at heart, so when I finally put the Metal Zone away and started building a grownup pedal board, a Tube Screamer was high on my list. I was particularly interested in this unit because of the size, since my beginner board probably isn't going to be very big. I plugged this little guy into my regular setup and was immediately blown away. If you've played some metal you know the setup: straight into a high gain amp, drive at 0, level at 10, and tone dialed in to taste. It made my Orange Micro Dark Terror, digital Bias FX rig, and even my sad old Marshall solid state roar, but in a much more defined way that never felt flabby or uncontrollable. I would recommend pairing it with a decent noise gate to trim down the hum, but that's just what electric guitars do when you crank the gain, and not a flaw of this pedal in particular. Okay, sure, it can do metal. I've also run this unit through a bunch of other setups and contexts. Through my Orange I definitely got very usable blues and classic rock tones by pulling the gain and volume back on the amp, and setting everything on the pedal around half way. I can even see potentially using it with the drive all the way up as a lead boost or to slightly break up a clean tone. This little thing is a beast for sure, and is pretty much perfect for my uses. It's not a transform your amp kind of effect, it's meant to compliment what your existing equipment already does. It has some specific things it does well, and it *really* nails them. #sweepstakesDan
Stop what you're doing right now. RIGHT NOW, and get this pedal. This tiny little monster sounds incredible and I am kicking myself for not trying any kind of Tube Screamer for my 20+ years of playing guitar. This literally sounds like a tube amp in a box. You can dial in the perfect amount of boost or drive without really impacting your guitar's true tone. If you push it all the way, it's almost in distortion territory, yet it retains warmth and picking dynamics…on the other hand it compresses nicely – like a tube amp. How does it do that? It's magic. I got this mini version because I'm building a mini pedal board, so it fits perfectly. Don't let the size fool you though, because it sounds incredible. The only drawback is that it needs an external power supply. Oh, and as an added bonus, this is made in Japan, and it shows. The switches, knobs, and inputs feel very high-quality. In my opinion, this is incredible bargain.Jamers
I collect Tube Screamers, and decided to get this for the collection. Soundwise, it works as a TS808; great transparent overdrive for stand-alone use but excels at boosting gain on an overdriven amp. Not as harsh or "dark" as a TS9, and a decent price. Definitely a TS to consider if you're trying to save some money; you definitely won't be missing out on the sound of the TS808. Also great if you want to add a Tube Screamer to a board, but need to save space. The only negative I can say is the Level and Tone knobs are difficult to see for settings, but that's true with most mini pedals. It doesn't take a battery, but there again, neither do most mini pedals. Construction is more solid than the Mooer Green Mile, and the TSMini is made in Japan (thought for sure it was Chinese). The price is great on these, but I'd also consider checking out the East River Overdrive by EHX; my current favorite Tube Screamer clone. As far as the Ibanez Tube Screamer line-up, this is seemingly the best value.Dave
2. Jhs Prestige Buffer / Booster Pedal
Product Details:
Unlike a lot of seemingly versatile stompboxes that turn out to be one-trick ponies, the jhs prestige buffered boost pedal looks dead simple but actually adds three invaluable tools to your pedalboard. set the knob to between 0-25%, and the prestige acts as a straight-up buffer, making up for the high frequencies lost to long cable runs and unbuffered pedal circuitry. it's like adding a fresh pack of strings to your guitar. use the 25-50% range for boosting overdrive effects or punching up solos. and when you push the prestige past half way, you get this sweetening drive that's perfect for pushing low-watt tube preamps past the breakup point. got questions? shoot me a message, i love nerding out with other gearheads!

Reviews:
This thing actually works! I have two of them and I use them on my P bass, my Strat and Wurlitzer keyboard in my home studio. It's a necessity for any single coil pick up instrument, or any device plagued with AC hum/noise. It works on a whole different principal then most 60 cycle hum removers. On the strong setting it might suck out a little high end tone in some circumstances but I rarely notice much difference while playing and the benefits far outweigh that. The one _caution_ that you have to be aware of is that it uses a very specific non-standard power adapter that is crucial for tying it into your AC mains for it to "read" the hum and interference and remove it. If you see these for sale without the power adapter don't buy it. I've spoken to Electro Harmonix on a couple of occasions and although they were very responsive, believe it or not they were unable to sell me a separate power supply. (I think it's something like 17.5 V AC)doctorcalabria
I bought an expensive guitar that has single coil and hum-bucker pick-ups, all of them are noisy in my room. It's decent during day time but in the evening it goes nuts. The hum noise level is as loud as actual guitar signal. I though that guitar is defective but then learned that it is EMI caused by tons of electric devices from my neighbors. I got Hum Debugger and it cuts it out very well. I couldn't believe how good it works. You still can hear some crispy little noise sometimes, but it's playable. At least you can enjoy the sounds in the quiet evening time. People say it affect the sound of guitar a bit, maybe, I can barely notice, if I can at all. In my case the remedy for the hum noise is 99% where potential little change in the tone is 1% of a problem.eugene.genious
Got rid of the hum but DEFINITELY adds a very weird (tin can reverb) effect. Tried it in multiple positions in my effects chain, same effect. Many describe it as "metallic" sounding. It's bad. If you can't hear it, I'd see an audiologist lol. For live situations where you can't live with the hum of single coils or P-90s, it could work and be less noticeable in a band setting. I'm thinking I'll just click it on in quiet parts of songs…Bad Actor
4. Tech 21 Di-2112 Geddy Lee Signature Sansamp Pedal
Product Details:
Geddy lee has been performing without onstage amps and speakers since the test for echo tour in 1996, favoring major household appliances instead. wanting to streamline his gear for new projects, geddy initially partnered with tech 21 to design a signature sansamp, the ged-2112. this challenging collaboration involved distilling a rackload of equipment into a single rackspace. according to geddy, “the ged-2112 is really a continuation of my long-time approach to bass tone. a ‘deep clean’ tone coupled with the ‘edgy crunch’ i get from the sansamp rpm now all in one box.” the ged-2112 rackmount introduced a new framework for parallel pre-amping –having two separate internal pre-amps. following this concept, the compact sansamp yyz pedal adapted the architectural structure to simplify blending the two signal paths. merging the design of the rackmount and the portability of the pedal, the sansamp di-2112 offers yet another new format that is designed to be equally at home on a studio desk-top as well as an amp-top. the drive pre-amp section is based upon the versatile sansamp rpm, for a wide range of sonic possibilities. the deep pre-amp section offers thick, meaty tones. saturation goes from clean in lower settings to increased harmonics and tube-like compression in higher settings. you can use either section independently or blend them externally direct to a mixing board as well as to two amplifiers. each geddy lee signature sansamp offers geddy’s core sound and the versatility for many different styles.

Very helpful staff even while very busy with other customers. Was able to try both the Fender Downtown Express and the Fly Rig V2. Yes the Fly Rig was more expensive but it also had more features. Plus the Downton Express produced a nasty pop when switching the compression in/out and it didn’t have a tuner. Very happy with my Fly Rig purchase and the price match. Thanks!Poida B.
I've had the Liverpool character pedal for a long time. It sounds like a Vox. I've had both versions of the RK5 Fly Rig (still have and gig v2) and the dUg DP3X (gig this one, too). I hadn't heard about this until I got my latest issue of Guitar Player magazine in the mail and these guys are al over the outside back cover ad. I ordered it immediately through Sweetwater. It sounds great! I have the UAFX Ruby, a Quilter Superblock US (shoulda been the UK, I know) and a Mooer GE 300 Lite: all trying to solve the "silent stage" conundrum when I can't bring out my Top Hat or Dr Z or Fender TRRI. But this is the pedal I was waiting YEARS for: XLR and 1/4" outputs for FOH and monitor amp, respectively. Voxy Voxness that's Voxtastic for the convenient, silent stage live application. While the other products are fine in their own capacities (and, to be fair, the Ruby sounds slightly better though digitally noisy in live situations), I would've saved about a thousand bucks had I known this existed. But, um, no built-in tuner. That'll cost ya a star, particularly since the RK5 and the dUg have built-in tuners. (Really, Tech 21?) Totally a keeper!!
I bought this because I'm a huge fan of the RK5 Fly Rig, but I wanted something that was programmable and MIDI controllable, to integrate with my pedalboard. The PSA2 does all that perfectly but it's the sounds that have blown me away. It sounds incredible. Every Marshall tone is achievable and authentic, so are Fender and Mesa tones, and anything in between. And it really responds well to picking dynamics, and when you back off the volume on the guitar it cleans up perfectly. And…it just feels and sounds better than digital – my HX Stomp is now for effects only. I couldn't be happier, it's exactly what I needed. Thoroughly recommended!rossmacrae777
5. Tech 21 Sansamp Psa 2.0 Programmable Instrument Preamp Pedal

6. Tech 21 Sansamp Gt2 Tube Amp Emulator Pedal – Black
Product Details:
Architecturally create your own rig in seconds. you can easily achieve the most sought-after tube amp sounds and entirely new ones as well. choose amplifier type, modification and speaker cabinet/mic placement configurations. you can easily mix and match specific sound characteristics in ways that would otherwise be physically improbable, probably impractical and definitely not cost effective. the gt2 is a truckload of great amps in a single, simple pedal.
Specifications:

Depth | 4.5" |
Weight | 0.9 lb |
Power Output | 9 V |
Reviews:
For anyone who's never used this box, it's important to know that it's most effective use is as a preamp into either a power amp / speaker cab, OR, into a DI-to-PA or your s/w modeler. You will most likely be disappointed if you try to use it as typical stomp box in a chain-to-amp front end. The emulation in this box is powerful, and will really conflict with preamps and external modelers. Of course, one's desired sound is the ultimate yard stick, so whatever ends up producing what you want to hear in your music is the "right" thing to do. IMO, if you want to apply Tech 21 voicings in a normal amp / cab setup, your best bet are the Character Series pedals they make – the Liverpool, British, Oxford, etc. These pedals are very effective in all the typical applications, and have an extremely wide range of tonality. rgdsabradfordajb
I'm actually a big fan of the TECH 21 SansAmp TRI-A.C. and I think it's still the best programmable analog overdrive pedal or tube emulator. However, the TECH 21 SansAmp GT2 is the most versatile analog distortion pedal and amp simulator. The SansAmp GT2 can be a little over-the-top, but the extra gain is needed to get those hard rock and heavy metal tones that are just outside of the reach of the TRI-A.C. Get both!micromano
As an individual pedal its great but I also use an OMG pedal which is great too. The two together are just fantastic The guitar goes in to the tuner then wah OMG followed by the Sansamp finally delays. Could have bought the RK5 but it is Ok Would been cheaper. At least I have found the sound that I always wanted. Real bluesy rock sound. Rolling back the volume even fusion or contemporary jazzgbel62

8. Tc Electronic Mimiq Doubler Pedal

This is a really cool and unique pedal that adds a doubling effect to your sound with varying degrees of tightness depending on how you set it so it can sound like a chorus, delay, or it can just thicken up your sound. with 1,2, or 3 dubs it can really add a minor or very noticeable effect depending on how you set it and it can really sound fantastic while being very versatile. only letting this go because i'm changing to a multi fx pedal. not looking for trades. don't have the original box.

Reviews:
I track usually 4 rhythm tracks, two of the exact same then two more of the same but with accents or harmonies etc as my main rhythm and I like it to be tight and sound like one guitar performance, the variations and accents and harmonies blend and widen the sound, also I use hard panning and other panning to make the guitar sound huge. With the guitar sound very close performance wise and tone/distortion quality wise, I find that it just sounds like one massive performance and the listener perceived it as a Randy Rhoads kind of singular performance. I'm the only guitarist and I play complex chords, this also let's be play parts of the chord separately for more even intonation and harmonics definition. It goes towards the big sound, I kind of learned from Alex Lifeson, Rhoads, and Hatfield and Wolf of Accept this approach as they all do the main rhythms and it sounds tight and huge. Mimiq helps me get the 4 tracks with only two performances and it adds natural sounding random variations that do what the multitrack stacking of individual performances does, it doesn't just uniformly cancel out all the interesting variations, which can happen if you just copy the same track and reamp. It does what I wanted to do, with less than half the effort.Mindcage
This replaced the signal splitter on my board with the added benefit of actually making my stereo sound better. I have it right after my tuner and it splits into an HM-2 LHP on the dry side and a Blackened Fuzz on the wet "double" side. Makes my stereo rig sound better. I only use the 1 dub mode, so Dry and 1 Double L/R and I use it pretty tight, just enough to make it sound "different" but not sloppy. Does exactly what I had hoped it would do.
Bought to run a slight delay to a second amp more so than the "double track" thing. But actually this effect seems pretty decent. Did i immediately notice you can get phase issues? Yes of course. Did i get some of that notorious left right jump thing? Yes. But it seems to relate to using the pedal at the limits of what its happy with. For the price this thing is a keeper…because otherwise im having to spend big dosh on either the 30ms or the Deco. Buy this but be prepared to accept some limitations and bug bears. It aint bad at all.Rich

Reviews:
Overall: I really wanted to like this pedal because of its fuzz effect, which is very good. The distortion was O.K. but not the best, although it is workable. The biggest problem with this pedal is the fact that the clean mix does not work 100%. It is too slight and does not give you much room for keeping your bass fundamental tone. Your sound loses its bottom end. Not good!! I believe this is a huge mistake in the part of the person who designed this pedal because it is marketed to bassists. If a bassist cannot get a strong low end s/he will take that pedal and get rid of it; rightfully so! Which is what I did.
Cracking overdrive for bass. Doesn’t loose bottom end. Versatile. Surprisingly compactReviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Sounds great and is really small, so handy for folks with busier pedal boards. Also overdrive and fuzz in one unit. Nice features too with the ability to blend in clean tone over the overdrive – so you dont loose too much clarity and bottom end. Perfect for bassists like me!Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Reviews:
Sounds a lot warmer than the metallic soulless shrill Japanese pedal that everyone uses. The double speed function is very useful. Sounds fantastic on normal (green LED) with more repeats than you will ever need in real life. Hit the Long/Short button and switch instantly to a great slap-back echo (red LED). There are so many pedals with a lot more knobs, but in reality that only makes them more expensive and complicated, yet still hollow and lifeless sounding. Eats up minimal pedal space, and don't worry about the plastic case, it is really very sturdy. I always stayed away from delays, analogue delays just did not cut it, digital delays just sounded – well digital. This is one of my favorites now, a digital delay that is alive and does not sound digital.3985adam

The beetronics zzombee filtremulator is a peculiar effects pedal that combines a fuzz, a filter, a low octave and a tremolo. it also offers a new kind of effect labeled cross-tremolo, which to quote the manufacturer pulses between the fundamental and low octave. the signal goes through a 4 stage gain treatment that can deliver anything from overdrive to fuzz tones and runs in parallel to a monophonic low octave circuit. the filter can be applied to either of these with the other remaining untouched. an lfo can then be applied to the filter through a 3-way toggle for wah-like effects, regular lfo cycles, or over fifty thousand random patterns. at the same time, three modes of modulated amplitude can create the cross-tremolo, traditional tremolo or volume swells, while the momentary footswitch can create ramping and modulation movements. the zombee has also tap-tempo function, cv control, external tap, expression out and can save presets.

Fantastic overdrive pedal. includes the original full-mids comp cut voicing of the earliest orange/black full-drive ii and the flat mids and vintage modes of later blue/cream versions. its deliberately downsized enclosure is a better fit for today's bare-bones boards, and 9–18-volt operation gives the fulltone full-drive 1 room to grow as players' tastes do. true bypass operation preserves tone and performance.

Reviews:
Bought this pedal out of curiousity as I've been a long time advocate of the Fulltone Fulldrive 2. If I hadn't have bought and used the FD2 before hand I'd be giving this pedal 5 stars. However, after owning and using the FD2 extensively over nearly 5 years, and then purchasing this, I will continue to use the FD2. Reason being is the pedal's core sound. Bottom line it is not as clear sounding as the FD2. The FD2 running in same exact configuration as the FD3 just seems more distinct, and gainfull..i.e. MORE power and clarity. If you need the seperate boost section of this pedal it is worth the purchase, but other then that..if clarity is of the utmost importance as one of your tone goals, get the FD2 instead.Adrian R.
I use it primarily to act as a clean boost to my Marshall AVT100, excellent sound quality of this unit in comp cut mode, so much headroom. i tured the volumne to max, and override to 9o clock, and it is still clean, Then I move on to test the 90 mode and wide asymmetric mode, I compare it to my OD1 channel of my marshall, which has a 12aX7 tube. The Fulldrive 3 sound very close to my Marshall, although my Marshall sound just a little bit more dimensional, but the Fulldrive 3 sound really really close, to a point I cannot distinguish it is a solid state overdrive. Excellent job for a solid state drive pedalBen

Reviews:
I've had mine now for the better part of a year, countless rehearsals and a growing list of gigs. It does everything all the previous reviews have already documented. But I'll add something not yet mentioned… mine was producing very noticeably weird two tone sounds when I had it plugged into the power supply box on my pedalboard, I've heard they draw a lot of power so I instead routed with a Trutone 1 Spot AC adapter to the AC power strip also affixed to my board (see photo) and that seems to have resolved the problem. Hope this helps anyone having that same issue. I like this pedal a lot… it is a very useful tool to have, from practicing and learning songs, to rehearsals and gigs too.
Preface, I use this with an acoustic violin fitted with a BTS pickup (dual piezos/string), OR with a Greek steel stringed laouto to immediately change from standard tuning to a 5th lower (Cretan, Southern Aegean tuning). Pros – This is a mentality saver. You can be a fantastic musician, able to transpose well, yet regardless of the instrument you are using, and still get a little tripped up when you need to switch course and play in some oddball key. Voila! Drop! I learned about this pedal from a class A1 violin player from Greece (composer, lyricist and recording artist who has recorded with just about every big name- this person is no joke, message me for his name if interested). This person can transpose to any weird key you throw at him, why use it? His response? "Because when I'm on stage and I need to switch quickly to an odd key, I can simply hit the button and not have to think about it". So I gave it a try, and have been using it for 2 years now… it's a life saver. I'm just a fiddler, but this saves me from stressing out and I can play free and it sounds GREAT. It tracks so well I can't tell if there is any latency at all. Cons- With my current setup, I find that I need to either play in front of a monitor or near a speaker or use IEM's, as when playing through the pedal with an acoustic instrument, obviously you are going to hear the natural AND the modified sounds and you ARE going to think it sounds like garbage, then attempt to junk it. DONT DO IT! Unless your pedal is defective, your sound from the speakers is clean. This pedal is meant to be used with mainly electric instruments. During sound check, as loud as you can be, you'll still hear the acoustic sound of your instrument, yet once you are playing with the full band (depending on what your band consists of), it will eventually drown out the sound, and you'll be able to focus on your modified tone, but this is not consistent. Just be aware. If you can, I suggest using some sort of IEM system, wired or wireless, or a monitor. My next step is getting an electric violin body to use this tool even more effectively, but moreso in order to truly utilize my pickup. In a nutshell: Do it!pazarinyc
Sound: Unbelievable how well this pedal track's notes and cords with no noticable latency, IMO it sounds better than tuning down. Features: It's a tank ! Sturdy , Solid , Heavy for it's size , no instructions needed , plug and play Ease of Use: This is simple , Standard tuned guitar , twist the knob to earth shaking low's. Quality: As mentioned , it's a tank , solid construction. Value: I hesitated on this purchase because of the price for a one trick pedal , Worth every penny ! Manufacturer Support: I have several DigiTech products , I still have the old RP-1 and it function's like new , I have no doubt this pedal will give me many year's of service. The Wow Factor: I prefer to play my guitars in standard tune , it's always been a hassle to get the right string tension when drop tuning , this pedal just ended that problem for me Overall: Just unboxed this pedal, been playing it for 2hrs , bar none the best pedal I've ever played ! Keeping the guitar in standard tune and dropping it to two whole steps , the notes and cords track perfectly ! No more floppy strings and no more switching guitars, the pedal is a must have for anyone who plays multiple drop tunings. This pedal is a tank solid heavy construction.Dennis

Reviews:
It arrived a few days ago from MF. I want to highlight what I like about it without repeating the contents of its manual. Bottom line, for my usage replacing a Fender black panel Deluxe, a spring reverb, and a Tube Screamer, it is excellent. I am using the Vibro King amp model for most of my tweaking, but I also set up the Twin Reverb (super clean), Super Reverb, and Marshall JCM800 (crunch even with the guitar volume relatively low). The Twin model would not distort without a boost included in the "scene" even with my guitar and the model volumes at 10. That was the one anomaly from my expectations. I like the Vibro King model, amplified by my QSC CP8 (on the floor, on its side, backside EQ set to floor monitor), and do not prefer my now sold Tone Master Deluxe. The first thing I did was download the 2022-10-31 Firmware update and install it. Instructions to put the pedal in "DFU" mode to accept the update were missing. A YouTube video found via Google explained to hold both foot switches while powering up. Next, I installed the main NuX App for my Mac. I disabled the third "scene" such that the "scene foot switch" becomes a "scene" toggle (one cleaner, one with the Tube Screamer engaged, both with spring reverb). I then went through the amp models I planned to use (two "scenes" each, which must be done individually) and set all the controls to 12 o'clock. I tweaked the amp, spring reverb, and Tube Screamer to taste. I now have three ways to boost for an overdriven solo starting with the Vibro King as my clean base: turn up the guitar, foot switch to the Tube Screamer "scene", or foot switch to the JCM800 amp model. I explain all this detail because it took about an hour and without this work the pedal is disappointing. The software was almost easy enough to use without the nonexistent manuals (to do it again it would take much less time). Once done, everything can be adjusted via the knobs and optionally saved with the left foot switch. No menus to navigate at a gig. You can see in the pictures that it is quite small (Tube Screamer for reference), weighs exactly 1 lb. (less than that Tube Screamer), and draws only 3 watts. Leaving it run over night only gets it to room temperature. My old HX Stomp would have been hot to the touch and required a 20-watt power supply. Is it a Universal Audio quality Twin Reverb, Super Reverb, JCM800, or Vibro King modeler? Impossible for me to know. But for what I want, a classic black panel 60s Fender amp tone, spring reverb, and foot switchable Tube Screamer, it is a complete solution in a small package. No aspect of IO is missing (XLR, USB-C, ¼", 3.5mm, MIDI over USB). It also has an effects loop, graphic EQ, all the usual reverb types, 1024 IR loader, a selection of boost/overdrive/compression pedal models, and a noise gate which I've not tried. If one of the amp models is acceptably flat response you could use its 1024 IR loader, reverb collection, and compressor collection for your acoustic guitar too. Wow! What's missing? For my usage a master volume not associated or saved with an amp model "scene" would be nice. It does make a click when switching amp models or "scenes". Sometimes when switching amp models there is a noticeable delay.Jon

I picked this up at the Guitar Center in Boston while I was staying there for my guitar sessions camp at the Berklee College of Music…and I do not regret that decision. If you want to play Livin' on a Prayer, Man in the Box, Beverly Hills or anything else like that, this is a must!!John
I bought this for my sons band and was pleasantly surprised at the quality feel of this unit. It is very easy to set up and use,has a good sound, and seems way more intuitive to use than a wah pedal for musical expression. I expect we will see many years of service out of this piece of equipment. Having the patch cables come with it for the same price as everyone elses listing was also a nice value.novoiceofreasontoday
I boulght the heil talk box in december not knowing about these. It turned out, you need another rig to hook it it up. Its basicaly a speaker cabinet. Worked awsome but hated the second amp. The danalectro had an exelent concept with mic input to amp direct ( first of its kind )But is very underpowered.Basicaly a toy.I returned it.The banshee has poor construction, a folded over piece of aluminum with steel sides crudley bolted on, leaking sound evrywhere. I purchased the mxr today and just tested it….. It has PLENTY of volume,, ( 18 volt power )I only needed 4 on the volume,, however if you wish you con rattle your teeth ( no joke )with this bad boy !! It has a VERY solid , heavy, and compact design, taking a minamal amount of space for such a great effect, also the instructions are very helpfull in breaking down the alphabet into different categories, and explainig how to pronounce them correctly, resulting in true guitar speach. The heil has an light thing you screw on,, yet there is no light in the unit???? Didnt make sense tome, maybe i didnt buy the light, or wire it in ? However, turn the mxr on, the led comes on and you know your hot.So basicaly,, its the real deal with a coulple of improvements, the volume, tone, and gain controlls reaaly expand upon the original concept, no amp needed, led refenc light for operation, very rugged enclosed constuction, and well… it just looks cool as ,,, you know. Hope this helps !Scott Jones Productions

19. Zvex Vertical Vibrophase Effects Pedal
Product Details:
A few years ago zvex effects released the candela vibrophase, a candle-powered vibrato/phaser machined from solid brass and glass that used a mix of 1800s technology (a sterling heat engine) and 60s/70s technology audio circuitry to create a lovely, swirling effect. zvex received numerous requests to put that sound into a guitar pedal and after a bunch of research they came up with a way of dramatically broadening the spectrum of textures available using the original circuitry from the candela. it's presented to you here as the vibrophase, a five-knob four-stage phaser that creates phase and vibrato nuances never heard before. speed sweeps from maddeningly slow to puppy dog flippy, vibrato/phase sweeps from, erm, you'll figure that out, feedback sends the output back through the phaser again to raise intensity, and there are controls for the top end and bottom end of the sweep so you can completely tailor the sound to your song.
