Sierra Acoustic Electric Guitar For Sale (2024 Update)

I have no idea how they do it for the money. Quality binding and purfling, good finish, ebony bridge and bridge pins, TUSQ nut and saddle, vintage Grover-style tuners, abalone inlays down the back of beautiful solid Pau Ferro back and sides. This guitar would be a good deal at $2,000 USD when you compare it to the other stuff on the market, at the current price it's practically robbery. Tonally speaking it's very bright and somewhat lacks bass, but if you go play very expensive guitars you'll find that's actually quite common for spruce tops made from hard body back and sides (rosewood, maple, walnut, pau ferro, etc.). I personally like a really bright guitar because on recordings guitars always end up sounding darker and bassier than in person (due to proximity effect). To my ear it sounds like a high-end Martin D-35, which I also own and have compared together. If you're looking for a bright and somewhat even midrange response from a guitar, especially for recording or playing live gigs then I highly recommend the Sierra. This guitar has no business being as cheap as it is for the quality. The workmanship is very good all throughout and I will almost certainly be buying their all mahogany guitar next.Joshua

I bought this guitar on faith. Faith in the reviews. Faith in the guitar's description, the manufacturing process descriptions, and the warranty promises of the company. Prior to Covid, I would not have conceived of buying a guitar online, without playing it first. But I have a couple friends who buy guitars online and they have done well. So I pulled the trigger. A few days later my guitar arrived, and slightly ahead of schedule. The outer box was damaged, and there really wasn't any other protection other than the included hardshell case. But the case did protect the guitar, and my first revelation was, just how nice the case is. It really is a nice plush and sturdy case. Then I pulled the guitar out of the case, and it was undamaged. I inspected it carefully and could not easily find any flaws in it's construction or finish. So I tuned it up and walla! It sounds great. And it feels nice in my hands. It probably needs a slight truss rod adjustment, as it buzzes very slightly, but it did come from clear across the country to a very different climate. I bought this guitar on sale, and for the solid woods and quality components, it is definitely a higher quality instrument than offered by other Guitar companies at this price point. So I am very pleased with my purchase. I will gladly recommend Orangewood to my friends.Stephen C.

I have played guitar on and off for most of my life and have just picked it up again after a 15 year hiatus. My last acoustic guitar was a Martin D15 which I loved but rather than let it collect dust, I sold it to someone who appreciated it and gave it the attention it deserved. When I decided to start playing again I considered several different brands but based on you tube reviews was originally interested in the Orangewood Echo. But then I watched a video that was a blind comparison of the Hudson to a Huss and Dalton and a Martin D41. I was blown away and when this went on sale, I made the leap and bought the Hudson rather than the Echo because I love the way the sound of a solid wood guitar evolves as it is played. Even though I haven’t played in 15 years, the setup on the guitar was perfect and I was able to get some beautiful tones immediately. My chops are coming back quickly (muscle memory still there despite the time lapse) because it is such a joy to play. Not only do I love the tone and sustain of this guitar, the fit and finish is outstanding. The herringbone binding on the top and back is clean,elegant, and refined. Reminds me of the D28 herringbone, but even nicer in my opinion. I am thrilled with this guitar. It has reminded my just how satisfying playing a quality guitar is.Brian N.

I really liked this little guitar, BUT…I read the reviews and decided to buy in-store so I could play the guitar before buying, and I'm SO glad I did. I went into my local Guitar Center and played THREE of these Martin LX1E guitars, including one that had been specially unboxed so I could try it after two others failed my examination. All three guitars had a very pronounced buzz in the frets. It was not that noticeable when I played them acoustically, but the buzz was very noticeable when I plugged them in to an amp. I even tested the amp with other guitars, to make sure it wasn't the amp. It wasn't. Its a great little guitar, great tone and very playable, BUT my advice would be not to buy this one on-line. Play it first. Play up and down the whole fretboard, and plug it into an amplifier and play again. I have been playing for more than fifty years and have never experienced playing three brand new Martins that were simply not up to snuff. Weird!Tele Playr

The guitar itself can have five stars. Nothing wrong with it. The problem I have is that it is not the old LX1E lefty that Martin used to make and I used to own. It is advertised incorrectly here as containing the Fishman I-sys electronics that contained a volume, base/treble controls and a phasing button for feedback. It also no longer contains the tuner. This is basically the LX1 Little Martin with a Sonitone pickup under the bridge and tone/volume control in the sound hole, which I despise. I prefer the old version where the tuner and controls were on top side (as shown in the picture variety). This needs to be updated!!! I now have no tuner on this guitar when I fully expected one. I would recommend the Little Martin guitar but it needs to be advertised correctly.Jules

I bought this guitar for my son so he can have a smaller guitar to lug around in school. We were surprised when we received the product that the pickup that was installed is a Sonitone pickup instead of what's advertised – an Isys T preamp. The Isys preamp has a tuner, phase and tone control whereas the Sonitone is built into the sound hole and only has the volume and tone control. I brought this up with customer support saying I only wanted the product that I thought we were buying. I received excuses and a repeated offer to return the guitar. We chose to keep it because we need it and like the Martin sound. However MF does not stand up to what they advertise and could not provide a reasonable explanation why the product was switched. Even as I write this review, the description still says it has the Isys pickup. Good luck to future buyers and know that you are buying a different product.Pasigenyo

There are hundreds of reviews on this guitar, of course some good and some bad. The good reviews (4-5 stars) far out number the rest. Although I’ve read some really, really bad ones. I suppose every guitar maker churns out a turd on occasion when mass producing affordable beginner (read inexpensive) guitars.
I can only tell you about my particular guitar.
It is fantastic, it’s beautiful, sounds amazing (plugged in and acoustic), plays amazingly well, stays in tune, the tuners are smooth and work as you would expect on a much more expensive guitar. The neck is perfect, the action is great (Martin MA540 Authentic Acoustic Light strings 0.054-0.012). I haven’t a single complaint I can’t say whether the quality has gone up or down in the last few years. Mine is an earlier production model about 10 years old. They’re relatively common , You can find a nice used one locally in most cities for under $150. That way you can play and give it a thorough inspection before you buy it. Check your local Guitar Center, try it, return it if you don’t like it, my bet is you will love it.Larry Daniels

I usually don't leave negative reviews. This guitar is beautiful, it sounds amazing. However, I just can't believe that guitar center would let this be shipped. The neck seems fine but every fret divider is razor sharp. It's so uncomfortable that I have quit playing it. Living in a small town it's very expensive to return stuff, so I guess it will just sit for now. To guitar centers credit, I have shopped there for many years and never been disappointed. But gee guys, why wouldn't you be checking this stuff? If I picked it off your wall I would never buy it unless you fixed it for me. Sorry but this sucksJohn

Tried out two of these at the local store looking for a first guitar for my son. Both sounded pretty good for the price point, but both had problems with the neck and really terrible frets. Terrible like not safe for children or unsuspecting adults – they both had sharp edges sticking out the whole length of the neck. Between that, some minor string buzz, a crazy high 9th fret on one, and iffy intonation on the other, it just didn't seem worth getting either of them. What's the point of getting a low priced guitar if you have to spend $100+ getting it worked over to make it playable? I suspect that the neck binding makes it difficult for the factory to really get the frets properly dressed and still pass cosmetic inspection. It may be I just had the bad luck to find the two worst examples of this model in the same store, but I suggest you move up notch in price range and you will be happier with what you get.triple.ratrider

And its appearance is just absolutely beautiful. I was all set to upgrade the strings and set it up to my own preferences but once I started playing it it was just perfect. This is my first classic style guitar. Its heavy, really heavy, I thought it would be light to pick up. Its really well made. The pick up are great and very bright. Shipping strings are good. No case or cover, box was well done, awesome even. Has a nubone nut, had to lube quite a bit for tuning. I feel like its a bit over priced, but that might just be me. Again, its solid, like you can smack someone with it and it won't care. I love the head stock. I got this because my hands are falling into ruin from diabetes. I'm trying really hard to find a falt for it, its just a beefy hard core classic style guitar. Volume is pretty low. If your getting into nylon strings i'd recommend it. I honestly can't find any faults for it. Heavy, beefy, Rawr.Meatpopsicle

I wanted a Taylor T5, so sweet. $2000 was more than I wanted to give to add to my collection of 30 guitars already. My I caught this gorgeous ESP Telluride acoustic electric guitar. Playing it acoustically was nice but running it through an amp I was extremely impressed with the overall sound quality specially wearing a suit of quality headphones such as you would use in a recording session. I had about a third of the price of the T5 the quality is exceptional, not as good as a T5 before the price it is well worth it. I love this guitar and since I've bought it I rarely play anything else. Awesome guitarGary

I’m a 54 yr old,pro player & guitar instructor, I’m always interested in budget guitars to suggest to students. I’ve found some feel cheap,or play horribly. This brand is quite the opposite, it has a solid feel, low action, rich bass and sparkling tone. I know those terms are tossed around a lot,listen to the demos on YT, this guitar sparkles like a nice acoustic should. The finish feels wonderful,it came with everything,a tuner, strap, extra strings,and a gig bag. The kit even came with a battery and a wrench to adjust the height of the action. The wrench works well, Ashthorpe has videos showing how to use it, The ELECTRONICS are what makes this instrument much better than the other budget acoustics on Amazon, It has a strong, rich equalizer onboard,u can do or subtract treble, or bass..or midrange..or the super high frequency string noises can be lowered or raised w the presence control. It has a volume control and a battery tester with LED right onboard. This electronics and preamp package is what you’d expect on guitars $300 or higher..It’s not Fishman or a famous brand, but it may as well be, it feels the same. I’ve owned over a hundred guitars, probably closer to 200 and I’ve never seen an acoustic electric with this kind of tone, feel and quality electronics in this price range..ever, if this guitar had no electronics,and was not electric-acoustic at all..it would still sell like crazy at this price. It’s almost hard to believe you get SO much for your hundred bucks. I have had acoustics where the case alone cost more than this guitar. Buy this model if you are considering a few different ones.. the thinline Ashthorpe makes is a smaller body, good for small hands, petite ladies or teens.. but the full size dreadnaught has the rich,thick bass u can feel in your body. The tone is better than the thinline,but a dread body can be big for some smaller people. The thinline was small and comfy,little more sparkly and less bass, but this model has the tone. And the way they laser etched the logo on the navy blue headstock is classy,it gives the whole guitar the expensive,modern vibe I go through guitars fast, I buy, sell, trade.and give some away to students…and I only wind up w the ones I LOVE. I’ve been a guitar instructor over 30 years, I’m a pro player with album credits on Warner, Gergen and more.. I’m 54 and playing since I’m 12 I own two Ashthorpe acoustics, this one in a dark butterscotch finish,and a full size dread in blue burst, The thinline has that tone like one of the smaller bodied guitars..bright,sparkly and up front. The body is not as thick as a big acoustic like my dreadnaught, but it is a full scale length adults acoustic.. they just made the body thinner for smaller folks to feel more comfy, The electronic package is superb,get it for that alone,you can plug in delays and effects, phase shifter and compressors, reverbs.. use the PA system or a small amp and play coffee house gigs, without the trouble of putting another Micah the guitar. The EQD section and the onboard controls are well made, useful and the eq points are musical and just right. It’s amazing how intuitive these designers were, they got just about everything right… the feel, the neck, the tone, the electronics..the finish.. it came with a strong gig bag ,not padded but rainproof and strong, like the nylon Tents and backpacks are made from..also a good electric tuner that works nicely,a cable,picks, a strap,extra strings..everything good quality and usable for a pro..maybe investing in a set of more expensive strings will help, the sets they provided sounded ok.but I’m guessing some high end strings would improve sound too,(Martin,Diaddario,Ernie Ball..etc) If u want something light and comfy, yet adult scale length with a pro feel and gorgeous woodwork, they’re out there.. but in this price range? There’s nothing available with the electronics package like this.. Look, just wanted to reply to some reviews that say this guitar sounds well…..thin. Duh, yes its not a jumbo acoustic or even a regular body acoustic. Its a thinline acoustic so it sounds just like what it is. Ive played several thinline guitars and they all sound…well…thin. That doesnt mean its cheaply made or a bad sounding guitar. It has its own sound. If you want a deep bass, then buy a jumbo or regular acoustic. I like the easy neck movement. The chords sound fine and this guitar doesnt require anymore tuning than any other in this price range. I tried ten guitars at guitar center including more expensive brands like fender, mitchell, yamaha and others and this was the only one under 400 dollars that stayed in tune from an E chord to a C chord. I bought it because Ive owned Ibanez before and never regretted it. To each his own but keep in mind a thinline guitar is not going to have a deep rich sound, but, I record my bass along with it so it sounds fine. It is what it is…a nice thinline acoustic-electric guitar.Kjmmusician

I had been playing a very old and very nice acoustic at church for night service, and didn't want to subject it to the rigors of live playing on a regular basis. After some research, it came down to purchasing a Talman or a Stratacoustic. I went with the Talman due to the price, and Ibanez's reputation. When the guitar arrived, I was a little apprehensive as the neck felt awesome, but the setup was awful. The strings were heavy gauge, and were set way too high. After some work shaving down the bridge, changing to light strings, and adjusting the truss rod, this baby plays great! I love that the electronics are really easy to use, and it was made to plug in. The sound when you are practicing unplugged isn't as full or rich as you get with a full sized acoustic, but this guitar wasn't made for that – it was made to be plugged in. I was able to eliminate having to use pedals to get the proper volume and EQ, which makes the live rig way easier to set up and tear down. I play it through a Line 6 spider II 75 watt head running through a Marshall 4×12 cabinet. The spider's clean channel is great for acoustic as it does not color the tone, and the Marshall is plenty loud for a church sanctuary. Overall, I am quite happy with the Talman, even though I had to put in some extra work to get it the way I like my guitars. It is a steal at the price if you have the skills and are willing to play with the setup.Stratbuilder

Bought this over Black Friday sale, and loved it from the second I played it. This instrument has all the warmth, resonance, and sustain you'd expect from a solid cedar top, but doesn't sound dull or dark like other cedar top guitars commanding twice the price. The neck is comfortable with terrific action right out of the box, and the zebrawood back and sides are also particularly attractive. My ONLY gripes with this model is the sharp fret edges (requiring a fret and dress from the start), and the oddball 49mm neck width. Seriously, why make a phenomenal guitar, only to ruin it by not sticking to the standard 50mm classical, OR a 48mm fusion widths? Not only are a replacement nut and saddle hard to find, but this 1mm difference makes it really hard to smoothly go between my Cordoba C5-CE and this without an annoying adjustment period.Steve

This guitar is absolutely beautiful! Exceptionally so–however, it is not a thin line as I believed it was so I had to return it and was met with marvelously willing and helpful assistance in our local store. I chose another guitar which was advertised as a thin-line guitar (same brand) and got it home only to find it is not thin-line as described; therefore, I have another trip back to return again and hope they do not lose patience with me. I think the incorrect description is probably from the manufacturer rather than Guitar Center so I would just say be careful with the descriptions, although I do not know of anything to be done about this except to go to another brand.Betsy

Epiphone really built a solid performer, especially for a workhorse studio guitar. It is also performs very well unplugged or plugged in for those small to medium gigs. Should be a staple for any song writing guitar player. Unbelievable value for a guitar of this quality. This is a wonderful guitar, especially at this price point! I got a really good deal from Musician's Friend. I expected a great guitar (I have several Epiphone acoustics and electrics, and am very happy with the quality of the Epiphone brand) and I was not disappointed. Great finish, great sound, especially through an amp. I especially love the on-board pickup/electronics- what a great sound! After changing strings to Earthwood .10s, the string height and action were just great- no adjustments needed. The workmanship was flawless, and the finish was beautiful. I already had a case that I had purchased for a PR4e, but a quality hardshell case is still available for a remarkably cheap price.. All in all, a quality guitar at a great price.huston

An absolutely beautiful instrument, this is my second SA360 and although they are no longer. Made in Japan, be assured they have not lost any of the build quality or attention to detail. The guitar was really well set up, is great to play, feels good in the hand and sounds the bee’s knee’s. If you are looking to start out in guitar playing get yourself an Ibanez Gio to start as a first upgrade from that, then the SA series is where you want to be at.Timbo

After trying to use a no-drilling-required pickup on my dreadnought and getting obnoxious buzzing noises, I saw one of these on the wall at my local Guitar Center. I liked the feel, and was really surprised at the sound when I tried it through a PA. I saw one in their Used section online and got it for a giveaway price. Like another reviewer said, this thing plays like an electric; a soft-V neck with great action. Big secret: Whether you pay $250 or $3,000, acoustic-electric guitars all sound about the same through a PA. So why bankrupt yourself? I'm going to open mics and playing next to people with very high-dollar guitars and sound just as good! Yamaha is also far and away my favorite brand of acoustic; I have five. Now, this thing DOES have a few finish flaws you don't see on my Yamaha FG730s guitars, like one speck under the finish and a drip on the upper bout. However this is their absolute entry-level electric acoustic so I guess they train new guys on this line, and for how well it plays and sounds, and the price I paid, I have no complaints. Bad – This guitar came without the usual Yamaha Factory Box and Accessories (truss rod, inspection tag, instructions). It looked like it was 'reboxed' by Guitar Center to fulfill Musician's Friend's order. And it shipped from a Guitar Center store rather than a warehouse. This happens way too often with Musician's friend, and they never seem to label the guitar as 'open box' or 'used.' Although the guitar was re-packed with lots of bubble wrap, the guitar was obviously damaged at the store. There were cracks on the top and side of the guitar. That probably explains why Guitar Center repackaged the guitar-the original shipping box from Yamaha would have been an obvious clue to the damaged guitar. Good-All Yamaha guitars go through a quality control process. And when I purchase them from other retailers, they all come with the proper accessories and inspection tags and are factory-packaged in the sealed Yamaha boxes. So, just make sure you are getting a new product, not a showroom or return-recycle when you order a Yamaha product from Musician's friend. Ugly-This guitar has a laminate top and the tonal balance of the guitar isn't top notch. Plugged in for performance or recording *and* when just played unplugged you can hear the difference between a Yamaha laminate vs solid top acoustic. I would recommend going for the solid top. I'm not sure if the Musician's friend website clearly specifies this is a laminate top guitar. Okay, if you get a new one with the inspection tags and truss rod tool, it's good for learning guitar or campfire use, where you might get caught in a rainstorm or you might be gifting a guitar and aren't sure how it will be taken care of. Moving up to the Yamaha solid top guitars, you are going to be happier in the long run, if you are a serious guitarist. I recommend trying this guitar out in a retail store, to make sure you get one fresh from the factory with the inspection tags and barcode on the factory box to prove it.Seasoned Musician

Exceptional guitar for the money. I went into to guitar center for the fgx800c but it wasn't in stock. Came across this one and was satisfied with the sound. It plays well, sounds great, and won't break the bank. I do wish it had an onboard tuner though. Highly recommend!Richard

Overall: I got the black one. (GL finding a case..$200.) This guitar surprised me acoustically – the bass response is far better than I expected- but ONLY acoustically! I'll probably get a Baggs Lyric for it, like the one I put in my (EPI.) DR-100. The Fishman, like all Fishman mic/pup/preamps, is JUNK – totally useless- cannot reproduce the bottom two bass strings AT ALL. I don't know why guitar makers even bother with them.The guitar of course, will need a serious setup – (cautiously, as aways..get a backup bone saddle ) take the bridge saddle down by even as much as 1/4-3/8"! The nut was fine after that (!.. I know…) YMMV of course… A special string set (like my signature Curt Mangan monel DR-100 set) will also help. I like lighter bass strings (in a GOOD guitar-this one -just- qualifies!), a pretty light set (9.5's); and a plain (unwound) g. Now it plays like an electric and sounds great for its size! My other "parlor" -an old, slotted head Washburn (But I'm dumping this one's too-large fugly rectangular glitter truss cover) And -bottom line- after seeing Jack Elliott's, I always wanted a Rancher!Rodney

Very comfortable and cool looking guitar. Mine arrived looking like a demo, Had spots that looked like someone slobbered their licorice on it. The Protective film pickguard covering was mostly off and barely on. I have guitars that still have the pickguard film all intact, after playing them for quite some time. The shipping box was totally crushed on one whole side and the guitar was not double boxed. It was just sitting in a extra large cardboard box with just sparse rolled up paper to protect it. . No bubblewrap or inside box for protection. Luckily it wasn't damaged cosmetically. Surely not how any guitar I have ever bought has arrived. The sound is very good with the exception of the awful fret buzz. I took it to a luther who said it needs at least a partial fret dressing, possibly more. MF offered me hardly anything towards offsetting that. The Gretsch acoustics are known to have a "12th fret hump," and my White Falcon also had to be fixed. This Penguin has the same issues, I don't think a brand new guitar should need any repairs. Yikes. Been trying for over 3 weeks to get it figured out with MF. I reported the issues to MF and they offered for me to return it, or that they could help pay for the repair of the fretting out. He had to talk to his supervisor about how much they would help with the fret leveling, and it was his suggestion that they could help out on the partial dressing. The second call, he stated that the most they could help with was a fifth of the cost. I said give me a couple days to ponder the situation. Haven't been able to talk in person again. Left a message asking if instead of sending it back to MF, they would just send me a shipping label to Gretsch, to have it repaired properly. No answer back on that. It's no more expensive for them to pay for the shipping to Gretsch, than back to the MF midwest facility. Called 15-20 times and the person handling it has been unavailable.. I love my little Penguin. It has a nice balanced sound to it that I have struggled to find for a long time. The Fishman electronics and integrated tuner are wonderful. The fit and finish is spot on. It seems to respond really well to different sets of strings. More so than any guitar I've ever owned (I think I'm on my 12th?). It almost can sound like a different guitar. It shipped ready to play. The set up was perfect for me out of the box. Usually I have to run to my Luthier when I new guitar comes. Very happy with my purchase. I'll have this one for life. What you can't tell from the photos is the binding is a gold glitter. The whole guitar is trimmed in it. You'll either love it or hate it.Mike

Outstanding value in this Ibanez guitar. First off, it's beautiful to look at it. Blue or the black, you can't go wrong. They are both attractive (I bought the black one). Neck is smooth as butter. Sounds great plugged into my little Blackstar amp and just as good unplugged. The gear seems like something you'd find on a higher priced guitar. The tuners and EQ are top notch. Really couldn't be happier with the guitar, the price and the service from AMS. They promised 2 day shipping and they delivered.Eric

Overall: Great for playing in the living room, I've strummed pretty hard on this and it can take it. Everything works great on it. Stays in tune good. Frets probably need filed like everyone else is saying but I'm very happy with it.Joe

Sound: I changed the settings as I always do when purchasing a guitar, and if course had to retune until the string memory was suffice. I haven't had to retune it since (after 3 weeks … Of course some minor tuning was needed). The eq helped get more low end that I desired. Features: I like the truss rod feature, I changed the tuners to some more appealing Gibson deluxe tuners. The frets needed a little filing but minor tweaks and adjustments are almost always necessary to obtain desired playability. Most (inexperienced) People want straight out of the box perfection, I suggest bringing any new guitar to someone that knows what they're doing and tell them what you want. My brother worked for Gibson custom shop as a guitar tech and let me know that most companies rely on quantity and not so much perfecting every guitar as everyone's idea of perfect is different. Overall: Tweek it or let someone that knows what they're doing tweek it … That includes all guitar purchasesMark

This is a parlor size guitar. In other words, it is smaller than a concert grand. This makes it a great beginning guitar for a teen, or a for a travel size practice guitar in general for anyone. This particular guitar was never set up, thus the nut is very high, and thus, so is the action. Any guitar straight out of the box needs to be taken to a luthier and properly set up. The reason the nut (and sometimes the bridge) are so high is because it is easier to cut them down than build them up or replace them. So, all guitar companies tend to do this as a matter of course. Some people want the higher action; like, slide players. But if you are strictly finger style, then best to have the nut, and if needed, the bridge taken down to lower the action and make it easier on the fingers. Another trick to help the fingers is to lower the tuning by 1/2 to 1 whole step. This will slacken the strings and they won't bite as much. This particular model of Luna guitar is one from their beautiful "Flora" collection. If nothing else, it looks great on the wall!vannerhorses

This is my first guitar purchase and one that I didn't waiver over once I did it. I am a novice player and have been playing a hand-me-down epiphone that was far too large for me. This guitar is just awesome for my level of play. I love the cut, fit and most importantly the sound of this guitar. The notes are bright and clean. I fell in love with this thing as soon as I plugged It into the amp in the demo room. It is super light and just looks beautiful. So excited to play this guitar for years to come. The change of richlite to wood for the neck, fretboard and bridge made a huge change to the sound of this guitar. Much more sustain. The guitar sounds and plays great!Dean

Mine is suppose to be rosewood but looks like the Macassar. Top is the same. Took it out of the box, tuned it and took it to a gig. Frets were finished ends and tops. Saddle height not too high not too low. Just needed to tighten the truss rod a little bit. Gig bag/case is well padded. Nice dreadnaught sound acoustic and plugged in. Well worth the extra price from the entry level DX.James

I got this one in a trade just yesterday which involved my Martin OMCX1E, which I had only bought brand new, not even 2 months ago. The previous owner had bought it brand new a few months ago but didn't take a liking to it, because it was too big for him to play. At least that's what he told me. He much prefers Auditorium sized acoustics while myself at heart, am a dreadnought guy, so this trade benefitted us both. The guitar was in immaculate condition and was already set up, so the inly thing that I did was to slap on a new set of Martin 2.0 lifespan strings which made a difference. First of all, the tone on this one , easily blows away the OMCX1E and I just love the Burst finish along with Massascar design on the HPL back and sides, which IMO, make this beauty stand out. Plus it also came with the heavy duty, Martin gigbag which is a huge plus. This one is without a doubt, a keeper.Jeff O 36
