well made kit and great sound and it looks great
Simply effective and a nice interface between my amplifier and computer recording setup. Simple and efficient.chhl

Reviews:
Overall: I have more overdrive pedals then I realistically need but my selection of distortion pedals has always been disappointing for my taste, just never the right tone regardless of the set up. I figured this pedal wasn’t too much and saw good reviews for the pedal historically. Yes there are differences from the originals to the model we have today but this distortion pedal is ridiculously versatile. The distortion pot is very broad and goes from a subtle O\D to a full faced fuzz and then when you sweep thru the filter, that’s where you see how versatile the Rat truly is. Is this a pedal geared towards the modern metal sound? Probably not. Is this pedal a good product for the price? Absolutely! The ease of use with the three control knobs just makes this pedal a great first buy or for those, like myself, who seemed to keep coming up short with distortion pedals, a truly simple and reliable tank of a stomp box. Seriously, you know you want it, or you wouldn’t be looking at it. Make your dayEric
The Rat pedal is a classic and was my first pedal in 1986 when hi gain amps werent affordable to 15 year old kids. That pedal was mean ! It had the original lm308 chip and gave me the Kill Em All sound I craved. Fast forward to 2020 and the pedal has not changed much. Its mean and can give you fuzz to mean hi gain rhythm and violin line like sustain on leads. For $69.99 it is affordable and awesome. Cons : you cant power this pedal with a standard Boss power supply. Its either buy a Rat power supply/wall wart or run it on batteries. Also, the battery compartment is plastic and not as tank like as the rest of the pedal. The changing of chips does make the pedal lose some of its magic. The new chip is fine but I do miss the lm308 and maybe its hype Im falling for. It likely is. So what can you do ? I sent my pedal of to Utah to be rehoused. The pedal itself is hard to adhere to a pedalboard bc it is so heavy and awkward. So mine is being put in a more pedalboard friendly housing. Also, all the components like in and out jacks etc will be replaced/upgraded as well as some cheap components inside the pedal. You also get the lm308 chip. Hell yeah ! For $150 you get a massively improved pedal. Do you need to do this ? No of course not. But if you want the best Rat pedal youcan get ( which in the new housing also allows being powered by a Boss style power supply via wall wart or pedalboard) then the mod will be a fun way to modify an already smoking pedal.swampdonkey90
This is a great pedal and is very versatile. It can go from an overdriven tube amp tone at low gain settings to very thick heavy distortion/fuzz tone. I like to set the gain low to a nice overdriven tube amp tone and then have my boss SD-1 in front of it pushing the pedal harder. It gives it a nice 80s hair metal, Marshall JCM800 type tone. The tone of the pedal is great and it is very versatile and a good deal. It will stay on my pedal board. The other nice thing is is it's extremely easy to use with just 3 knobs and very easy to find a great tone. When I first got this pedal I didn't like how bright it was but that where the filter knob comes into play and you can roll off the brightness to match the guitar and amp you have and get a great tone. This allows you to play it on bright and dark amps a like. I use it with a Gibson Les Paul standard with burst bucket pro pickups into my 65 reissue fender Princeton reverb and I will also run it into my Boss katana MKii 50 watt. This pedal works great on both tube and solid state amps.Rhinosaur
5. Line 6 M5 Stompbox Modeler Pedal
Product Details:
The line 6 m5 stompbox modeler is a "super-stomp" that gives you access to one of over 100 coveted effects at at time with a footprint the size of a standard pedal. but m5 is also different – it's designed like a swiss army knife to carve out sonic creativity one brilliant effect at a time. dare to inspire and be inspired with its 100 gain-defying distortions, lush choruses, scintillating reverbs and many other kinds of expressive effects.
Specifications:
Reviews:
It's a nice pedal as utility pedal for only needing the one effect. Enjoying the tremolo, reverb, flangers. You can set the effect to a preset (up to 24) and flip through them on the fly. Renaming the effect is a pain, having to use the dials! The distortion effects are weak but can be used with your dirty channel to be usable like using a fuzz otherwise it sounds thin and not usable. I'm not having any grounding issues and I have it powered through a pedal board brick. I have it running in front of an orange tube amps.BJ
About 100 pedals models for less than £100. Some in stereo and can be output in stereo or mono. Straight out of the box some models sound very good to me, I especially like the tremolos, some of the reverbs and delays. Also I quite like one of the chorus models (an effect that does not usually use) and one of the overdrives. Have to try tweaking the uni vibe and phasers but I'm sure there will be useable sounds in there My rating for sounds reflects my view that I find some bad and others excellent. It has plenty of features, is well made with a sturdy metal enclose, comes with its own power supply and is easy to use. All in all I think it is worth the price and worth considering if you want access a wide range of effects. Probably better for recording rather than using live.Reviewed by guitarguitar custome
This pedal is perfect for anyone who is running their complex delay/reverb/ambience stuff in an effects loop, but needs a 'swiss army knife' pedal for effects that need to go in front of the amp (distortion, wah, phaser, etc.). I was playing in the pit for our local HS musical last fall (they haven't had any electric guitarists…or bassists or drummers for that matter… in the student population for the last 7-8 years…I blame vocalist-centric reality TV shows….but I digress). The show was "Sister Act" and, unlike the R&B tinged '92 movie, the (2006) stage musical is all late 70's disco style. Needless to say, I needed a wah-wah pedal. Instead of shelling out the same amount for a decent 'one-trick-pony' wah pedal, I opted for this unit, as I have been looking for a multi-function 'in-front-of-the-amp' pedal for a while, and I already had an expression pedal for my keyboard. My expression pedal was the dirt cheap M-Audio plastic one that, according to Line6's own website, shouldn't work with this unit…except it did. Yes, even when toggling the "M-Audio/Other" switch on the underside of the pedal, at first It either didn't work at all, or worked backwards. But then, I discovered the genius programming built into this little gem. If you rock the EXP pedal either fullup or full down, you can manually set the heel/toe values for ANY of the 5 adjustable parameters in a given effect. SO…….In the tube/tape delay effect, for example, I have it set so the repeats, drive/gain, and "wow/flutter" all increase (each by individually set amounts) when I rock the EXP pedal from heel to toe. Add to that the fact that this is a dual stomp switch pedal with a dedicated tap-tempo switch, and you have an ultra-controlable delay unit. My only niggle is in the auto-wah/'tron' department. While they have a few dynamics-based filter effects models, only one is a dedicated Mu-Tron/envelope-filter type effect. What's more, since they only have the one model, and only 5 adjustable parameters, they decided to allot some of those 5 precious parameter knobs to things like "high-/low-/band-pass filter" and left out the crucial "sensitivity" setting. My rig is old-school; vintage non-master-volume amp + tube screamer + THD Hotplate. All my gain/distortion is controlled via my guitar's volume knob. The problem is, with no 'sensitivity' setting on the 'Tron' effect model, you only get decent results if your guitar volume is full up on or near 10. Unfortunately, most of the situations where you want to use this type of effect are with a relatively clean tone. But, since I can only get said cleaner tone by rolling back my guitar's volume, I don't have enough signal to trigger the wah effect. Instead of including some of the 'cool-but-of-limited-usefulness' models like "Comet Trails" in this section of the pedal, I wish Line6 would have had multiple 'Tron' models (high-/low-/band-pass) with sensitivity parameter adjustments all 'round. Full disclosure; what with my fore mentioned rig, I have not at all explored the distortion section of this pedal, and thus cannot comment on it's quality or lack thereof. I have at least dabbled in the modulation section, and done extensive exploration in the filter, delay, and Reverb sections, and found them all adequate to superior in tone and 'controlability' (OK, maybe not a real word…yet). And, c'mon, for $130? You really can't beat this!mikeoxmal
6. Jhs Colour Box V2 Preamp Pedal
Product Details:
One of the best pedals i've ever owned! i'm sad to see it go, but happy to see it on your board! does everything from tasteful boost to sputtery fuzz and everything in between! can be either tastefully subtle or wildly over the top. seriously such a rad pedal. you'll notice on the second pic that the j on jhs has eroded a bit, for whatever reason. pedal sounds like a dream and works like a charm. comes in the original box. hit me up if you have other questions! let's get this bad boy to ya!
Specifications:

Input Voltage | 9 V |
Frequency Range | 60 – 800 Hz |
Line Input | XLR |
Jack Size | 1/4" |
Reviews:
The CB is performing several audio tasks in my home recording/composing studio. I'm primarily using as an EQ stage run into the FX loop of one of my amps. It's also taking the my guitar's direct preamp signal into my DAW for use with speaker IRs. Single track vocal overdubs and bass tracks are getting similar treatment with great results. I have yet to put it on drum machine tracks since I record those in stereo. At this rate there may be a second unit in my future for that specific purpose. I like the ability to go from clean to mean on almost anything. Having a high quality EQ with lots of gain is another cool feature. Definitely a winner!Iboughtit
My only complaint is that I didn't buy this two or three years ago when Lucas originally recommended it. I'm just a closet player and probably not even using it to its full potential. Very clean signal path. Fantastic sounds. Really boosted my princeton reissue, especially in conjunction with my existing overdrive pedals. Super easy to dial in your eq preference with sweepable high, mid, and bass. I've got a Taylor acoustic that I've never been happy with the amplified sound, even when using my Fishman loudbox performer, and I know this pedal is gonna cure that anemic tone situation. And it accepts XLR inputs so I can finally use that expensive 1/4" to XLR instrument cable that I bought. I'll probably end up getting a second one for utility situations. Got it with the Christmas sale price, and I don't think I've ever been happier with a pedal purchase
After having owned the JHS Crayon and absolutley loving how it stacked with overdrives and getting punchy, percussive cleans I found I was wanting more out of the crayon then it was capable of. I wanted more headroom for bass and more eq options for a standalone dirtbox. I heard the V1 color box had relatively low headroom and a fixed eq, while the 500 series had exactly what I wanted but no way for me to easily apply it in a live rig without buying more equipment. Then, V2 comes out of no where, checking every box I wanted in it! Buying it was a no brainer. I immediately ordered it when it was available and AMS had to me in two days. Top notch service! I've had it for a few weeks now and couldn't live without it. Having the high/low headroom switch has come in handy for using both guitar and bass. The rotary and hi/low switch for gain staging is great for setting your headroom exactly where you want it and it's a very wide range. Crystal clear cleans to some of the filthiest fuzz I've ever heard. The low cut switch is great for biamping the bass through 2 amps, in a crossover style fashion. It really cleans up the muddiness you get from a multi amp system. The absolute best part of the V2,in my opinion is the eq section. Instead of just boosting or cutting a set range of bass, treble, mids, you can sweep the eq range and fine tune exactly what you want boosted or cut. I use it at the end of my drive chain before delay and reverb. It really brings drive pedals to life and helps muff style fuzz to cut in a live situation. Added bonuses are that I can use it as a DI at the same time or a fantastic mic pre for recording. Can't say enough good things about it. Once you have it, it will definitely be a staple in your studio or live rig!Don

9. Bogner Ecstasy Red Overdrive Pedal
Product Details:
The ecstasy amplifier was born in 1992 and over two decades later bogner is still building each amp by hand, one at a time, right here in los angeles, california. the ecstasy red pedal captures the mystical red channel tone of this now legendary amplifier, famous for its incendiary higher gain crunch and lead tones. adjust gain and eq settings using the using the interactive controls and the red pedal delivers and rewards you with a wide range of expressive tones from vintage overdrive to colossal modern high gain tones. excellent for aggressive playing styles, the red pedal boasts the outrageous heavy tones that get bogner amps behind some of rock's most notable players. reinhold designed the ecstasy red pedal with five discrete class a gain stages mirroring the circuitry of the ecstasy amplifier's red channel. this revolutionary approach, along with no op-amps or diode clipping, provides clarity, touch sensitivity and note separation never before achieved in overdrive pedals. the ecstasy red is powered by a standard 9v battery or 9vdc power supply. reinhold's advanced circuitry internally elevates the voltage to a substantially higher level. this higher voltage provides a greater dynamic range which closely resembles the feel of the ecstasy amplifier's legendary tube design.

Reviews:
I really wanted and expected to like this pedal, given Bogner's great amps and this high price tag. I was so disappointed. The distortion tone is good, but nothing very special. What really turned me off was the way the dynamics are totally squashed. I have played less expensive pedals by Wampler, Fulltone, Hermida, etc. that have gorgeous tone and are much more responsive to picking dynamics. I used it on a couple of gigs and found that this is not a pedal that cuts through a live mix very well. That's probably why they had to build in that fancy boost footswitch with the variable gain and output – you will need the volume boost if you want your solos to be heard at all. Also, the YouTube demos are somewhat misleading about the amount of boost adjustment – you can only add a little bit of gain and/or output volume. I ended up returning this pedal and trying the Wampler Pinnacle, which I find much more impressive.FinalGuitarist
Tone wise, it sounds like a boutique Marshall or Soldano. Really great sound. Incredibly tube-like tone and response. I would be hard-pressed to tell the difference between this and a tube head at anything other than concert decibels. Great sound at bedroom practice levels, but it still gets LOUD if you crank the volume. Utterly perfect for anything ranging from rock to modern metal. No doubt it can do blues too. It even stacks great with traditional Tubescreamer style overdrives. Again, very tube-like response when you boost it for metal. Great response on the EQ. Scooped sounds really decent, but dialing in a "frown" gets really creamy.J
Comparing the Bogner Red Ecstacy to the Pinnacle is misleading. Which Pinnacle version? I've owned them both in various release configurations (with or without the boost) and found the Pinnacle to be one trick pony. Why buy a Bogner pedal (which never mentions EVH) if looking for the "brown sound"? The Pinnacle or the Mad Professor should have looked at first. And yes, the stripped down Pinnacle is still the same cost as the Brown. If you add the boost to the Pinnacle, you're gonna pay more still. A lot of pesos to cover one guy LOL. I've watched the PGS clip and I really like what I hear. I can't wait until mine comes next week. I currently own a C. Martin Plexitone, an AMT O2 Orange dist/preamp and a Plextortion so I'm not biased against Wampler products. My Micro Terror and Traynor 12" cab prove very flexible with the pedals I have. With the addition of the Ecstacy, I feel I have my bases covered for my set list. I don't need a Mesa pedal although I love 'em 'cause I don't play death or thrash. Bogner is awesome.TempleTantrum
10. Carl Martin Greg Howe Lick Box Pedal
Product Details:
At first glance, greg howes lick box looks like many other carl martin pedals. it has a high gain channel that has lots of bottom end and crisp highs alongside a dynamic crunch channel, which emphasizes the mids with very little compression, and of course the carl martin signature 12db boost channel. the high gain and crunch channels were voiced to greg howes specifications, but underneath its orientation toward gregs sound is a rethinking of how these three channels work together. you can use either the high gain or crunch channels on their own, and you can adjust the tone for each with its dedicated tone control, and you can also add up to 12 db of crystal clean boost to either of those channels. you can additionally turn on both gain channels together. by placing the high gain first in the chain, you allow the crunch voicing to overrule the high gain while adding a few db to your volume. you lose some of the lows and highs, but this results in a focused and controlled mid-range that cuts through the mix. and of course you can add up to 12 db of clean boost as well for meatier leads. the greg howe lick box features cast metal casing, the high quality switches with on indicating leds, and the new carl martin dc/dc converter circuitry. this new power circuit allows you to use a 9v power supply while still maintaining the +-12v circuitry that is crucial for component quality and extra headroom above most 9v pedals.

Reviews:
Easy to use. Very clear sounds. You wont sound like Greg Howe, unless you are Greg Howe, but you might come very close. The sounds are exactly as Greg specifies on Youtube. The High Gain is exactly as it sounds and you can get some amazing lead sounds from this part of the pedal. You have independent tone controls on each setting, so you can really dial in your own sound. The Crunch channel is great for rhythm guitar and doesn't get saturated in the mix. You can get a fairly clean sound to a nice dirty crunch for heavier styles of music. The boost part of the pedal does exactly what it says. You can mix up the settings and get a really heavy sound for some great lead lines. The Lick Box also works well with the amplifier gain settings. This is a pedal to enjoy for many many hours.pdefriend20

This review is for the Keely Red Dirt overdrive pedal. I really like this pedal a lot. I am 65 and I've been collecting pedals for many years. I currently own 26 overdrive pedals. Everything from old to new….from tube based to sold state and mixtures of both. This is one of the better ones…especially for the price. I believe most people will be happy with this pedal. Its very responsive, very adjustable, very predictable and sounds very good (to me). It falls somewhere between a Bogner Lagrange and a Zvex Box of Rock in my opinion. Also similar to a Pettyjohn Chime. Excellent pedal for the money. Gitchyawon….you'll like it.Old Fart
I've searched high and low for the best 808 style overdrive. Ibanez, Maxon, JHS, Analogman, Fulltone, the list is endless in terms of all of the companies out there that claim to make the best 808/TubeScreamer available. Adjustable mid range, sub-miniature tube boost, 9 vs. 18 volts, mid range control, low boost/clipping switch, the options are immense and I don't have it in me to buy all of them, only to find out most of them aren't worth my time or my money, so I went with the name that is synomous with not taking away, but adding to the sound and greatness of the best and most user-friendly overdrive in the world, the 808. I initially got in touch with Keeley to mod my 808, but I figured, between shipping my Maxon OD808 twice, true-bypass switching, doing two mods, and hoping for the best, why not buy the Red Dirt for that price? It IS the OD808, but better, with the Plus/Baked mods built in, built of the best components available, with true bypass switching. I went for it, and I love it. I'll run it with everything, boosting low wattage blues amps, or adding amazing gain to a big master volume tube amp, and lastly, using it as a clean boost in front of a 100 watt high gain head for a tight, dynamic, and articulate high gain distortion. It does it all, it does it better, all while not sucking the low end, and boosting the mid range of your tone to unbearable levels. It also gives you the perfect amount of compression. Go with Keeley. I bought my pedal straight from the company via e-mail…Initially the Katana upon their recommendation for a clean boost…When it didn't work for what I was doing, they told me, no problem, send it back, we'll get you what you initially inquired about, the Red Dirt, and I haven't looking back. I run two in my rig with my Soldano SLO-100. One (always on) as a clean boost in the Baked position, one after that as a solo boost in the Plus position…Ridiculous. Get it.KSAV

13. Keeley Red Dirt Mini Overdrive Pedal
Product Details:
Robert keeley's mods to ts overdrive pedals were wildly popular and enjoyed by some of the greatest guitarists in the world. keeley's mods allowed the ts to have higher gain, be cleaner when turned down, have greater bass response and greater tone control. keeley took these mods and put them into a standalone pedal, the red dirt, and now the red dirt mini! the red dirt overdrive became an instant success with its ability to be used as a standalone drive or as a boost to suit your setup how you like. this mini pedal model is now even easier to fit into your already existing rig. it retains the same low gain settings from the original but at a much lower price.brilliant controlthe red dirt mini has the same gain, level and tone controls that are on its big brother the regular red dirt. the only thing missing is the lo/hi switch which most people kept in the lo position anyway thanks to its beautiful midrange boosting ability. this makes the pedal a great small form booster for when you really need to be heard on stage.the red dirt mini features two internal dip switches allowing you to switch between four different modes, each giving you a different dynamics and levels of drive. the four modes are: distortion, overdrive, crunch, and amp. distortion is the highest gain setting, far exceeding normal ts-levels and then you get clearer, more open sounds as you progress through overdrive, crunch, and amp modes.

Reviews:
It arrived a few days ago from MF. I want to highlight what I like about it without repeating the contents of its manual. Bottom line, for my usage replacing a Fender black panel Deluxe, a spring reverb, and a Tube Screamer, it is excellent. I am using the Vibro King amp model for most of my tweaking, but I also set up the Twin Reverb (super clean), Super Reverb, and Marshall JCM800 (crunch even with the guitar volume relatively low). The Twin model would not distort without a boost included in the "scene" even with my guitar and the model volumes at 10. That was the one anomaly from my expectations. I like the Vibro King model, amplified by my QSC CP8 (on the floor, on its side, backside EQ set to floor monitor), and do not prefer my now sold Tone Master Deluxe. The first thing I did was download the 2022-10-31 Firmware update and install it. Instructions to put the pedal in "DFU" mode to accept the update were missing. A YouTube video found via Google explained to hold both foot switches while powering up. Next, I installed the main NuX App for my Mac. I disabled the third "scene" such that the "scene foot switch" becomes a "scene" toggle (one cleaner, one with the Tube Screamer engaged, both with spring reverb). I then went through the amp models I planned to use (two "scenes" each, which must be done individually) and set all the controls to 12 o'clock. I tweaked the amp, spring reverb, and Tube Screamer to taste. I now have three ways to boost for an overdriven solo starting with the Vibro King as my clean base: turn up the guitar, foot switch to the Tube Screamer "scene", or foot switch to the JCM800 amp model. I explain all this detail because it took about an hour and without this work the pedal is disappointing. The software was almost easy enough to use without the nonexistent manuals (to do it again it would take much less time). Once done, everything can be adjusted via the knobs and optionally saved with the left foot switch. No menus to navigate at a gig. You can see in the pictures that it is quite small (Tube Screamer for reference), weighs exactly 1 lb. (less than that Tube Screamer), and draws only 3 watts. Leaving it run over night only gets it to room temperature. My old HX Stomp would have been hot to the touch and required a 20-watt power supply. Is it a Universal Audio quality Twin Reverb, Super Reverb, JCM800, or Vibro King modeler? Impossible for me to know. But for what I want, a classic black panel 60s Fender amp tone, spring reverb, and foot switchable Tube Screamer, it is a complete solution in a small package. No aspect of IO is missing (XLR, USB-C, ¼", 3.5mm, MIDI over USB). It also has an effects loop, graphic EQ, all the usual reverb types, 1024 IR loader, a selection of boost/overdrive/compression pedal models, and a noise gate which I've not tried. If one of the amp models is acceptably flat response you could use its 1024 IR loader, reverb collection, and compressor collection for your acoustic guitar too. Wow! What's missing? For my usage a master volume not associated or saved with an amp model "scene" would be nice. It does make a click when switching amp models or "scenes". Sometimes when switching amp models there is a noticeable delay.Jon

Reviews:
I picked this up at the Guitar Center in Boston while I was staying there for my guitar sessions camp at the Berklee College of Music…and I do not regret that decision. If you want to play Livin' on a Prayer, Man in the Box, Beverly Hills or anything else like that, this is a must!!John
I bought this for my sons band and was pleasantly surprised at the quality feel of this unit. It is very easy to set up and use,has a good sound, and seems way more intuitive to use than a wah pedal for musical expression. I expect we will see many years of service out of this piece of equipment. Having the patch cables come with it for the same price as everyone elses listing was also a nice value.novoiceofreasontoday
I boulght the heil talk box in december not knowing about these. It turned out, you need another rig to hook it it up. Its basicaly a speaker cabinet. Worked awsome but hated the second amp. The danalectro had an exelent concept with mic input to amp direct ( first of its kind )But is very underpowered.Basicaly a toy.I returned it.The banshee has poor construction, a folded over piece of aluminum with steel sides crudley bolted on, leaking sound evrywhere. I purchased the mxr today and just tested it….. It has PLENTY of volume,, ( 18 volt power )I only needed 4 on the volume,, however if you wish you con rattle your teeth ( no joke )with this bad boy !! It has a VERY solid , heavy, and compact design, taking a minamal amount of space for such a great effect, also the instructions are very helpfull in breaking down the alphabet into different categories, and explainig how to pronounce them correctly, resulting in true guitar speach. The heil has an light thing you screw on,, yet there is no light in the unit???? Didnt make sense tome, maybe i didnt buy the light, or wire it in ? However, turn the mxr on, the led comes on and you know your hot.So basicaly,, its the real deal with a coulple of improvements, the volume, tone, and gain controlls reaaly expand upon the original concept, no amp needed, led refenc light for operation, very rugged enclosed constuction, and well… it just looks cool as ,,, you know. Hope this helps !Scott Jones Productions

18. Red Panda Raster 2 Digital Delay Pedal
Product Details:
The raster is a digital delay with a pitch and frequency shifter integrated into the feedback loop. forward or reverse delay can be shifted once or have continuously shifted repeats. it delivers a wide range of sounds including modulated and harmonized delays, reverse delays, chorus, arpeggios, infinite descents, chaotic self-oscillation, and continuously evolving soundscapes. the core of the raster is a clean delay with up to 1600 milliseconds of delay time. three delay ranges allow you to precisely dial in resonant feedback sounds and instantly change delay time with rhythmic shifts. the feedback control has infinite repeats at 3 o’clock and chaotic, textured feedback loops at higher levels. knob responses are carefully tuned for exploration of self-oscillation and feedback on the verge of blowing up. a tone control sweeps from dark analog-style repeats to digital clarity and emphasizes the attack at higher settings. the left and right delay times can be set as a ratio, so a single knob changes both in sync. the two delay channels can be arranged in series, parallel or ping pong. pitch shifting repeats up or down in semitone steps creates tempo-synced arpeggios and alien organ sounds. the detune setting can dial in micro pitch shifts and chorused repeats. the left and right channels can be shifted by the same amount, a ratio, or opposite directions. at subtle settings, repeats evolve in a way that sounds natural, but different from analog delays. beyond pitch shifting, a combination phase/frequency shifter creates subtle evolving repeats, dissonant harmonies, and barber pole flanging. it can be pushed to extremes for ring modulation and inharmonic shifted delays that distort and break apart. the raster’s modulation section has seven waveforms that can be assigned to delay time, pitch shift, or amplitude (for tremolo).
