Reviews:
This is a fine unit that has tremendous functionality and given some time and effort there is almost no tone that cannot be extracted from this unit. Unfortunately Line 6 goes out of their way to make it an unpleasant experience. Unless of course your willing to fork over more money for software that other companies would give you for free, or at least substantially less than Line 6 charges. You shouldn't have to shell out hundreds of dollars for a unit followed by hundreds more for some software to get the most out of it. Line 6 is the worst, but the POD Pro XT is a good unit.recnepsterb
For a nine year old effects floorboard, this is a great value for someone (like me) who wants several effects without spending $100-200 per pedal. Line 6 is generous with this one, Ive only had it two weeks and theres still plenty of sonic discoveries to be had. Cant compare it to Line 6s new units, but this one looks cool, sounds even better. Couldnt care less that it happens to be all modeling, I can plug a bass in, then in the blink of an eye pick up the guitar without unplugging from the bass amp and still get a huge stellar amp tone for ultimate chunder. Get it, for $200-ish its a steal!aig-man
This is a pretty good bag. The quality is excellent and it looks/feels like it will last quite a while. I bought this for my Line 6 Pod hd500x and it works "ok" for it. The bag could be a bit more snug so the Pod does not flop back and forth when you carry it. Length wise there is extra room and a spacer which allows you to carry some extra cables or a power strip, but I am talking about the snugness on the top and bottom. I may try adding an extra foam pad to see if this helps. I know this bag was not specifically made for the Pod so I can't fault it too much for not fitting 100%. It is a great deal for the money!jkelly517

Reviews:
First of all let me say I also have the G1ON and bought the G1X Four for the enhanced features and so I'd have one with the expression pedal. I sold all my tube amps when I was laid off, retired and moved to Mexico. My reference point is tweed and blackface era tube amps. I gotta say, once you learn how to dial in the tones you want, these little plastic boxes do a pretty decent job of amp and effects modeling. Like the G1ON, the G1X 4 does a good job of imitating the touch and volume control dynamics of a cranked tube amp at any volume. I really like the Deluxe Reverb, AC30 and DC30 simulations. The G1ON has more vintage style amp types to choose from, and in that regard it is more useful to e. Two kinds of spring reverb, one eats up a lot of memory but really sounds lush like an external unit along with the other types (room, plate, hall, church, etc.). Tremolo is built into the Fender models that have tremolo along with a couple of very configurable trems and rotating speaker effects. The G1 4 does NOT have the Z Organ effect the G1ON does, boo hoo. Beyond that, there are tons of effects to play with and they all sound good to my ears. I currently have 3 small amp setups. 1. Quilter 101 mini docked in their 10" BlockDock cab. 2. Quilter MicroBlock 45 pedal teamed with a 5E3 pine cab with a Emi Legend 12" and 3. an old Carvin SX50 1×12". I can get all three do to do the Deluxe Reverb,Vox AC15/30, E and F series Tweed tones that don't make me miss my tube amps. Wish I would have had the G1ON and the 17.7lb Quilter 1×10" combo back when I was in a blues band and gigging. Interface improvements from the G1ON… Improved display allows for more descriptive/longer patch names. Four pots act as master vol, bass, middle, treble during performance mode for global tone and volume tweeking. The four pots also make adjusting settings easier. To sum up, very cool pedal for under a hundred..Tomcat
For several years now, my pedalboard has had only ONE guitar "FX" pedal. First it was the G1Xon. Now it's the G1Xfour. I play both acoustic AND electric thru the pedal, and they BOTH sound great! Though I've played for over 40 years, I'm not a professional musician and rarely play out; but I do play a lot at home and IMO this is the best VALUE "name brand" guitar multi-FX pedal on the market. It's super affordable, very easy to use, sounds terrific, and is a total blast to play. In fact, this is the FIRST of TWO guitar pedals I recommend for every novice guitarist. Checkout my video links below for a quick start on G1Xfour pedal, and why it's one of the two first pedals I recommend. The Image Doctor
I can't speak to it's use in a live setting , that's not what I bought this for but to have at home to record whether bedroom music or demos it's perfect. The effects are great they're easy to use, the older Zoom models were a bit laborious to set up and get sounding right but this has enough knobs to feel like you are just setting up any stand alone pedal. The distortions, the delays, reverbs etc are all good but it's the amp modelling and the EQ options that make it a great little tool to work with. No amp or no room for one in your apartment where your neighbours will pound the walls if you so much as sneeze too loud? No problem !!! this little guy's got you covered. A little tinkering and your demos sound better, a little more and you can get a reasonably good sound for home recordings. The looper is great, its easy to use. The tuner is good. What's not to love ? Plug this into your computer or your four-track or whatever recording devise you've got on with the earphones and you have a decent sounding pedal board and amp which takes up as much space as a box of chocolates. No one will be any the wiser. I'm sure I sound like an absolute shill for Zoom. I don't care I have a bunch of their gear and I love it all. Is it built to survive the apocalypse? No. Most of the stuff I own is plastic. Is it as warm and distinctive as Electro-harmonix or Boss ? No, but it's cheap and it's solid and it works. Is it going to sound perfect through your huge amp? I don't know but it's probably not the point. Me – I make music at home with cheap gear because I have no money or space. Zoom are a gift to home recorders everywhere. And thanks to everyone at DV247 as well. Very helpful during a difficult time to get products shipped efficiently.

Reviews:
Sounds great. Also surprising versatility with the HP/LP settings. One criticism is that its very loud. Slotting in after 2 boosts and an OD, then before a fuzz has played havoc with my gain structure as, with those other pedals operating within normal vol ranges, I've found the volume on the OCD needs to be most of the way down when using drive greater than 12-o-clock which is even more noticeable on the HP setting. Btw, that's into a highish headroom amp so if you were using the OCD to further drive an already breaking up amp into much more compression then probably not that great an issueReviewed by Andertons Music Co.
I needed something to stack along side of my TS that did not overpower the sound of the other pedal or sound too thick on its own. This pedal sounds fantastic with single coil pickups and pairs extremely well with other OD pedals. I like the fact it can run on either battery, 9V, or 18V AC connections, making this a great choice if you have limited ports on your power supply. On its own, it stands out very well when dialing up the drive settings and it sounds absolutely great coming through a properly dimed tube amplifier. It is no coincidence you see these pedals on the boards of many great professional players… This box just has excellent tone and all their products are handmade in the USA with plenty of care involved–making them a quality purchase. I am looking at collecting a couple of other earlier versions as some have tonal differences that work better with other set ups. Overall very satisfied with this purchase.built_for_speed
I've owned the Fulltone OCD for just over a week now and I can confidently say it's the best overdrive effects pedal I've ever had the pleasure of using. It has a sturdy build, it's versatile, it retains the original tone and colour of your guitar/amp combo and it's LOUD! I wanted a pedal that would fit compliment my '65 Twin Reverb Reissue amp and Telecaster, I love the tone of my setup but I really needed some bite in the shape of a good overdrive. After doing some research and seeing the name Fulltone OCD pop up again and again I started to get very curious about this pedal, the clincher was when I saw it on the pedal board of a guitarist on youtube who was showing off some of my favourite licks! I'm glad I chose the OCD. The fact that new OCD stock routinely goes out of stock shortly after going on sale on most websites should tell you everything! Recommended.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Hum/fizz is too prominent – even with noise cancellation (through three different amps: Fender, Blackstar & Laney – valve or solid state). Overall volume is significantly reduced when engaging – not very useful for live performance/recording. Build does not appear to be very robust.Stuart M.
This pedal from German manufacturer KMA is a combined delay and reverb pedal. Having more controls than a battle star it takes a bit of getting used to. The build quality is excellent. It’s capable of producing some great sounds. I’m gradually beginning to love it. The included instruction card leaves quite a lot to be desired. Some diagrams showing what the controls do and some example set-ups would be helpful. Would I recommend it to other guitarists? I already have!Richard F.
This pedal sounds like dream! Easy to use, seems durable, perfect for shoegaze or ambient style of music.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Reviews:
This bad boy holds its own on a bass pedalboard amongst many other more expensive OFD pedals. It sounds great coupled solely with my Orange Twin Stroke boosting it into the bass riffage stratosphere. But where my Monkey really shines is stacked up in various combos with my SA Aftershock, Blues Driver, Titefuzz, warping my chorus/flanger, and also when I crank my 2 Stroke into true OD territory. This wouldnt be the only OFD pedal on my bass board only because, well, there will never only be one. This isnt freaking Highlander. And also because I tend to favor pedals that crank toward extremes. But this baby is my super glue, the one I throw into the mix to tie a screaming tube into a deep, echoey chorus or when I want a heavy fuzz growl to clamp down with some face shredding bite.crof.rya

Really pleased with this pedal. Needed something to give my Strat and Deville good gain. Works like a charm. I will say however, pickups matter!! I got two strats, one with Tex-Mex pickups and one with Alnico 5s. — the Tex-mex sound better with this pedal. While my TS9 sounds better with Alnicos. For the price, can't beat it.NB Larry
I got what I expected – a decent but not exceptional distortion pedal with some flexibility. It wouldn't be a "desert island" pedal, but on my pedal board and the way that I use it (primarily for solos) it fills the niche that I was looking for. It sounds a little thin on its own, but when stacked with my Wampler Euphoria I get a very serviceable solo tone. Fair value for the price.RandR Dinosaur

Reviews:
A balanced metal distortion with a tight crisp sound. Not overly harsh like a lot of pedals, but maybe not enough bite if you want an extreme sound. The boost modes and tone controls a low for a nice variety of sound options. It takes time to dial everything in but Im surprised by how much character this pedal has. I read a lot of reviews and watched videos looking for something that was metal but balanced and this is spot on. Note that it does not have an internal battery compartment, you will need a power supply.Old metalhead
First things first, this thing is tiny, and it is POWERFUL. I don't think I've ever had the gain past noon, because I've never needed to. My amp is by no means a super high gain monster (EL84 circuit, 1×12 combo), but this pedal makes it one. For the kind of stuff I like to play (80s thrash, early death metal), I think it does a really good job. Between the three switch positions and a really flexible tone knob, you can get a really wide range of usable tones with it. When I showed it to my brother (a much better player than me, with a lot better gear), he was astonished when I told him the price. I almost had to pry him away from the thing. If there are complaints to be had, I have to echo one of the previous reviews in saying that the hi-boost adds almost too much highs to be useful. But I guess if you switch to a neck pickup and roll off the tone, it can be okay. If this one breaks (hopefully not), I'll definitely replace it with more of the same.Eric
11. Sonicake Guitar Multi Effects Pedal Rock Stage Distortion Delay Reverb Chrous, Black
Product Details:
Basically, rockstage cracks his way into the multi effects category. but if you take it apart, you can see it as something else, like: a distortion pedal sonicake rockstage gives you exactly what you want and need – that marshall half stack type of distortion crunch tone. adjusting the gain knob, you can get your tone from ac/dc's saturated plexi break-up to guns n' roses' classic jcm-800 crunch, to early van halen's fully over-the-top brown sound. yeah, it has it all. just get up on stage, and you are ready to rock! a reverb & delay pedal to make it quick and simple, and avoid using those confusing words like "luscious", "natural", let's put it this way: the reverb can expand your tone from a small room to a big concert hall; the delay is analog-voicing. they both run on digital algorithms, but they sound analog. find any youtube demos of rockstage, you'll know what i'm talking about. to me, that's basically the cornerstone of the tone from that particular era. rockstage has a bbd-style, analog-sounding chorus in it, which i'm sure you'll dig. and here is a little hack on it: if you setting rate to minimum, and depth to maximum, you'll get yourself a "leslie rotary" sound. pretty cool, huh? make your job easier around gigs and studios the pedal is built like a tank. heavy-duty metal casing. well constructed. led knobs indicating the warking state of the pedal, which would make it easy for you to gig in a dark venue. what's more? rockstage has a cab sim in. yeah, you can directly plug it into the pa system or your sound card, for gigging and home studio recordings. specifications: power: 9v dc center negative(included) current consumption130ma dimension: 262mm(d)64mm(w)44mm(h) weight: 480g max delay time: 500ms

12. Bbe 427 Distortion Pedal
Product Details:
The 427 is the modern muscle car of distortion pedals, with a big, meaty tone that's ready to kick ass. another paul gagon creation, 427 builds on his experience crafting pedals for the gods of rock, but this one's got a distinctly american voice. 427 fires up with a potent variation of gagon's proven led-based distortion circuit as used in the bbe blacksmith, with the power flowing to a sweepable eq (cseq) section inspired by an early '70s big muff pi and optimized for maximum flexibility. on a mission to raise hell on rock-and-roll streets from new york to l.a., 427 delivers more raw power than yesteryear's muscle with better handling. with a beefy mil-spec circuit board sporting big, fat signal traces, 1percent metal-film resistors and high-voltage poly caps, 427 is engineered to be deliver rock-solid performance and never leave stranded. and when aren't in the mood to lay down serious rubber, 427's true hardwire bypass lets tone slip by without so much as angry glance from the tone police.
Specifications:
Reviews:
Distortion is a highly personal choice, so keep that in mind, but this one is not my cup of tea. It doesn't seem to give a wide range of distortion and the sound is too dark for what I do. It is built like a tank, like most BBE pedals, but will more likely suit a heavy metal player. But for $XX, you can't go wrong. I am building a second pedal board consisting of all the cheapest pedals I can find, except no Dano's, and this one will sit in the distortion chain proudly.Guitarded
This is like having a Marshall stack in your pocket. This is a solid built pedal done up in sparkle blue. I have several high gain pedals that sound good, but give me hum. The 427 is quite, no hum, and has a nice full sound. Good control of tone. Not too much treble, not too much bass for me. Only con is that it is not useful to get a touch of bite, it wants to do Classic Rock to almost Metal. It does this Very well! No Blues driver here. If you need to go to 11, this is it!dave21
Bought this on a one of the Stupid Deals of the Day, money well spent. I have tried it in front of the clean channel on a Mesa Dual Rectifier (though gain was slightly up to add some dirt) and really achieved those early Marshall JCM 800 tones, with tons of headroom. Next I put it in front of a 1983 Marshall JCM 800, responded similar to a vintage Rat pedal, crisp gain, thick bottom end chunk, gnarly mids and highs. Next I stuck it in front of a 1968 Fender Bassman, that 50 watter was able to compete with any of my 100 watt rigs. I don't play silky smooth blues nor do I play high tech metal, but if you enjoy tones from Motorhead, Steve Jones (sex pistols), RIOTGUN, or even Johnny Winters, this pedal will get you there, fast!!!Larry Lugz

Helix is a new kind of multi-effects guitar processor: its not only a tour-grade multi-effect pedal that sounds and feels authentic, its also one of the most comprehensive master controller for guitar systems ever built. start by recreating the tones in your head with the new hx modeling engine – the new amps, cabs, mics, and effects will feel familiar to anyone who has ever spent time in the studio getting the best guitar sounds from both vintage and modern gear. have a pile of oddball pedals that you rely on for your personal sounds? no problem. take advantage of the most comprehensive i/o and routing capabilities ever built into a multi-effect and easily integrate them into the helix environment. once connected, create custom setups and footswitch labels that make your external pedals feel like theyre all under the hood. whether you spend your time in the studio or on the stage, helix is the next-generation guitar processor youve been waiting for.real tone that feels and sounds like your analog gearwhen it comes down to authentic sound and feel, helix represents a giant leap forward for guitar technology. the dual-dsp engine provides massive power to accurately recreate the dynamic feel of tube amplifiers, not just their sonic fingerprint. each stage of an amps circuit has been measured and matched back to the original, so that each model reacts and interacts just like the real thing. this level of dynamic circuit detail extends into areas like power supply ripple, individual tube sag, and control over b+ voltages. once these elements are captured, you get classic bloom and gooey compression on some amps, and a powerful gut punch on others.
Reviews:
I have been with Line 6 for many years. My very first amp from Line 6 was a Line 6 AXSYS 212. I also have the POD 20, POD XT Live, POD HD 500, the Spider 3-120, the Spider 4-150, and the practice amp 15 watts. While on tour I used the Flextone 3-2×12 amp. THE REVIEW: First and foremost tone and sound are most important to me. The models are definitely rich and pure in tone. The well thought out connectivity and the ability to maneuver the effects chain in any order that I desire is a plus and the ability to have unlimited effects in a chain is superb! I like the touch sensitivity to the switches that allows access to parameters for on the fly editing. Additionally, there is better processing with all of the effects. The headphone volume is a great option that adds to this already exceptional unit. Also, the stomp box mode allows the Helix to be used as a peddle board rig. Thumbs up for the large screen display and the scribble strips. Last but not least, the unit is very sturdy which makes it easy to travel with. There are so many BELLS & WHISTLES included in the Helix unit that it's too much to put into one review. So with that being said, I am COMPLETELY satisfied with my Helix!
Helix is fantastic for all studio musicians. You can construct so many different sounds with it. Since 3.0, the Helix is a complete package as far as guitar processors go: you have all different amps, cabs, effects, acoustic sim, synths, polyphonic transposition, harmonization, oversampling. Lots of in/outs, lots of ways to route it. The workflow is great: you have the computer editor. You can back up/restore your Helix, email the backup to yourself, etc. The Helix can absolutely replace your entire signal chain and be used as the only piece of gear to process your guitar sounds. The same could not be said about the Helix when it was on earlier firmware versions. Now, the Helix itself is very cheaply made. I thought I'd purchase one and never need to use anything ever again– wrong! After about a year of light use, the buttons stopped working reliably, then an LED stopped working. Helix is assembled using cheap Chinese parts that are tiny! For example, the footswitches are not what they appear to be–there are tiny tactile microswitches underneath. The Helix will not withstand nonstop gigging for more than a year, unless it's regularly serviced/cleaned, etc. It's a real shame because it can sound great, but something is always failing, or about to fail.Dimitri
Overall: I just received the Helix Rack yesterday so I only have a few hours in the drivers seat but that's enough to learn how truly awesome this thing is. I've owned a lot of Line 6 products over the last 20 years, in fact I still have a spider V240 and a POD HD Pro X but the Helix is so far out of their league they will probably never get used again in my studio. The design is sleek, easy to navigate, user friendly and just all around beautifully designed. The large full color screen is not only eye catching but makes navigating the menus effortless. Even though I'm modeler savvy, I've had no previous experience with Impulse Responses, in fact, I hadn't even heard of them until I started researching the Helix Rack and quite honestly I didn't think that I would care to use them… Well… I was wrong. It's amazing what these things do for the quality and authenticity of my tones when recording. As I mentioned earlier I only have 2 days under my belt at this point but most of that has been recording scratch tracks just to hear the result of these I.R's. I also love the fact that Line 6 still adds all of the necessary physical knobs and controls to their equipment in the days of everything being digital. The idea that I can play almost uninterrupted while tweaking many different parameters on the unit itself without a pedal is always a selling point for me. Not taking anything away from the foot controller but when I'm seated in front of my rack, using my hands to adjust the unit itself is just somewhat more convenient at times. Next, the user space… I thought that my POD HD Pro X had a lot of space for user presets but It has nothing on the Helix. I will probably never fill all of the user List's or even come close to it but It's always better to have something and not need it than to need something and not have it. Also, let me jump back to the large screen again, I have a laptop on which I keep all of my editing software for my studio equipment. I always plug in my Spider V240 and POD and use the Spider V Remote and POD HD Pro X edit software respectfully because in most cases sitting behind my recording console and tweaking my sound is just much easier to do with the computer apps than the equipment. The Helix is the first and only piece of equipment I've owned where the display is laid out and organized in a way that is very similar to a computer or tablet app and so even though I have the Helix Edit app running on my computer right next to me, making adjustments on the front of the Helix Rack in many cases is actually easier and faster than grabbing a mouse and using the comp app. I could write much more describing my total satisfaction thus far but I will wait 'till I have used it for another month or so and update my review at that time. I will leave you with this thought. While conveying my total happiness to my brother last night regarding the Helix Rack, I went so far as to say that I feel that this could be the last guitar processer I ever buy and if not it's pretty close.Fred
15. Line 6 Dl4 Mkii Delay Pedal
Product Details:
The new updated industry standard delay pedal has just gotten better!! 22 years ago line 6 unleashed the game changer, green delay pedal that quickly became the industry standard and was a mainstay on almost every pedal board. midi in/out, mic input and an extra exp pedal jack for more real time control over your effects. the dl4 mkii comes jam-packed with 15 new mkii delay models, 15 original delays (now rebranded as legacy delays, with “rhythmic delay” replaced by echo platter – a binson echorec model) and 15 “secret” reverb models, as well as an expanded internal memory that allows the looper to record 120 seconds in mono or 60 seconds in stereo at full speed (half-speed doubles the recording time). the new mkii delays are from line 6’s hx family, with models like ducked (tc electronic 2290 ducking delay), transistor (maestro ep-3 echoplex model with enhanced tape saturation), cosmos (roland re-201 space echo) and adriatic (modded boss dm-2 model with increased delay time). the secret reverbs are engaged by holding down the alt/legacy button and turning the rotary model selector knob to choose one to inject into any delay model and using the remaining knobs to adjust mix, decay time, parameters and even reverb-delay routing. these original reverbs are all culled from line 6’s popular hx effects and cover all the classic room, spring, hall and plate ‘verbs along with some spacious studio-quality ones. the 4-switch looper is still activated in the six o’clock position from the model selector knob regardless of which bank is selected. in this case it's easy being green!!
