Reviews:
I like this stand more than the regular floor stand because this does not put any pressure on my plugs and cords. The bottom of the guitar doesn't touch the stand. The large footprint adds stability, which is great, but it takes up a whole bunch of floor space! My only real concern about this stand is how durable the padding on the neck support is; will it last very long? It seems a bit thin, and moves around when I place my bass in it. The support itself is sturdy and will hold the instrument with no problems. Overall, I am happy with this stand and will be using it as my primary since I do have the space for it.Craig O.
I picked these up from a DotD specifically for a Fender Meteora style guitar, which won't sit so nicely in regular stands due to its shape. I also wanted a good yoke, as a few of my super cheap stands had hard, protruding bits that left small dents in one of my guitar necks. This satisfied both needs. That said, you're likely weighing between a Hercules and this Fender stand. I'd say spend a little more and pick up the Hercs on a DotD. I picked a pair of Hercs up on a later DotD, and the clutch is much, much better on the Herc than the Fender's simple lever. The Herc has indentations in the support that allows the clutch to lock. The Fender is fine for lighter guitars, but can loosen up and drop if too much downward force is put on the yoke support. I had this happen once so far, and have moved my heavier guitars to the Hercs. I would not recommend this for a heavy bass guitar. All of that said! It's a nice stand, and does its job. I don't regret picking it up.Diffracted
I have similar stands from another company which are a slightly different design. The other stands are slightly more compact, since the yoke folds over the top of stand and lays flat against the rise shaft. That is the ONLY thing better about the other stands. The other stands were more expensive, have just as much plastic in the manufacturing, and were less stable due the fold-down locking leg design. Worst of all the other stands have the awful "locking" yoke, which folds tabs down on either side of the neck/headstock joint, at least until they break (which one of mine has). I don't understand the need for this locking yoke device. If the stand gets knocked hard enough to tip, as soon as the body of the guitar hits the floor, the yoke is going to release anyway and the guitar is going to fall out of it, right? Maybe I'm not seeing the purpose of that yoke, but it just seems like another point of failure to me. These Fender stands were an incredible bargain on the SDOTD. I wish I could fold them a little smaller for transport, but that would probably undermine the great stability they have, so I'll accept the very slight lack of portability in favor of the security and confidence they give. The yoke is stationary, welded to the rise shaft. It's slightly narrow, so I have to start the guitar into the yoke at an angle, then rotate it into position. This just adds to the stability, so no big deal once you get in the habit. If you try to pull the guitar straight out of the stand, it will pull the stand toward you along with the guitar. Once again, not a big deal if you simply remember to twist-then-pull. The only other issue may be the base mechanism's screw/handle, which holds the legs in the spread position. The screw is threaded through the red plastic piece which holds the legs. Only time will tell if this design will hold up to regular use, and is my only real concern with these stands. Not worthy of a star deduction yet, but we'll see…Steve-O

The stand is portable and easily fits into an equiipment gig bag; this is the main reason I purchased it. I own to others I use on stage, and this one serves as a backup stand as well as one I use when I travel for practice sessions. It provides decent support to guitars and basses, thought it's not as supportive as taller stands can be, especially those that hold the headstock and neck in place.zippystooge
I was successful at bending the padded support arms to fit a tenor ukulele. Not a perfect solution, but for casual use this foldable stand is light and easily transportable. There is virtually nothing that can be manually adjusted to fit, unless you are willing to take a little risk by physically deforming the original configuration. There is no case, and as such it is not a good candidate to travel in anything but an equipment bag or box. So far, the construction of the stand is in line with what I thought I was getting for my money. I can make it work, but time will tell if it will hold up.Wiley
Like the title indicates, I have been using these stands for 24 years. My recent purchase was to replace one that finally failed (the screw stripped). I am a solo musician, I play 3 and 4 hour gigs almost every day during the tourist season. I main instrument is a Fender Stratocaster but I have Acoustic guitars and use the acoustic stands as well. I have also placed my bass guitars on the electric guitar stand as well. I love that I can put the stand in the guitar case. I see many of my fellow entertainers carry these bulky, awkward stands that have to be carried separately. I highly recommend this product to any performer that needs to carry equipment to every gig.JT

Attractive and seems sturdy so far. Holds my guitars in a nice array that makes me proud of them and keeps them visible and accessible so I always get excited to play. I'm able to fit three electrics, a full sized acoustic, and a mini acoustic all on there at once – barely! The downside: manufacturing defects made it very difficult to assemble. Welding flaws in the tubing made it so the tubes couldn't slide together. I had to use hammer and pliers to whack the tubes together and twist them into position. Ultimately, now that it's built I'm happy with it, but be aware you may need to get creative to put it together.STEVEN
This was a great purchase. After reading reviews of "cheaper" versions of multi-guitar stands I decided to spend the extra $ for the Fender rack. After assembling the rack (< 10 minutes) I easily put five guitars in the available space ( a Les Paul, two Strats, a Dean Acoustic, and a Regal Resonator). It's a close fit but taking 3 extra seconds to pick up or put back a $800 guitar isn't too big of a deal. The rack works as advertised, is super light to carry, folds up when needed, and looks great. The only quibble I have is one small piece of black foam rubber was torn when I got it and I wrapped a piece if black electrical tape around it.Jim
If you have anything more than toy inflatable guitars, this thing will not hold more than two. You'd be lucky with that. The instructions say not to tighten things so much the rack isn't able to fold. But that's a useless direction because you can't possibly tighten things that tight. I tightened everything as tight as possible and put an acoustic and a hollowbody on and it just tilted backwards. If you put this up against a wall, your guitars will end up being supported by the headstock, not the rack. Absolutely horrible product.Brogan T.

I have been using a Hamilton KB38 guitar stand for almost 40 years I have tried others but none are as stable and secure. I will not waste money on anything else.smith_357
I bought some of these stands when I was a church music director from 2000-2005. I recently visited the church and they still have the stands and they are still in use and in are good shape. These stands are nearly "idiot-proof" as it would take a direct fall by a ***** to knock over your instrument. I had some "Hercules" stands and they lasted about 10 years before the Florida humidity caused the plastic parts to deteriorate. These stands will last forever. If you need a good stand that will last a long time, this is it.Michael C.

Reviews:
Had seen these on the Stupid Deal of the Day a number of times. Having been a couple of guitar stands short since I got married again, I figured I'd snap some up the next time they went on sale. I figured worst case scenario I could use them for my (used) Ibanez electric and my (inexpensive) Rogue fretless bass and if something happened, then oh well. Color me happily surprised. These are nice. Heavier gauge metal than I thought they might be. Feels solid. Nice thick foam to protect both the neck of the guitars where they hang and the back where they rest against the two front legs. The only issue I see that might be problematic is the lock. It doesn't quite feel solid when it is fully engaged. I've had my electric and bass hanging on them for the past two days and they don't appear any lower, so in this case, so far so good. I guess we'll see. And they look pretty sweet too! Overall, yep – happy I got these. For the SDOTD pricing, it's well worth it.Dave
Like most serious players, I like to have more than one guitar on the stand and ready to grab and play, quickly and easily. However, I don't want to spend any more than necessary for accessories, and this two for the price of one deal from Musicians Friend made it an easy decision. However, I was still concerned about the quality (weight, sturdiness, foldability, etc.). These stands are very good quality. Sturdy and just enough weight to let you know they are made out of good materials. I highly recommend these stands.Joe G
First impression of these things was that they were built pretty well. I was very concerned when I first started hanging guitars because they wouldn't sit straight. After messing with / twisting the neck I found that they seemed to sit pretty well and I don't really have to fight it every time I hang one back up. I bought 4 and all worked well and were of good quality. I used them with an SG, Taylor acoustic, Strat & Ibanez acoustic.Ben

Reviews:
I've had a couple of these stands since 2010 and they are great. They do not bump headstocks. They do not fall over easy – and I've bumped thema lot – I'm clumsy. They fit fine – see attached pic. I used to have a Highway 1 tele that worked fine too – aren't all tele headstocks the same? I'm looking at my stand and it is this exact stand. I've even used it on stage. Take a look at my pic..maybe they changed dimensions..but it looks the same to me and I bought it here at MF. JUst trying to help..they seem like decent stands. CONS – After years of owning the "velvet-rubber" does need replacing down below so it won't scratch the guitar soon. And the velvet-rubber rings on the headstock poles have gotten less pliable and fall of easy., but they serve no purpose.JK
First of all; this guitar stand deserves a 5 star review. Unfortunately, I can not give it 5 stars because it came without a box. Oh…there was a SHIPPING box…but there was no original product box. It came in a clear bag, crudely tied in a knot, with the product 'hang tag' just laying in the bag. Who does that? The stand was not advertised as "open-box", or used, so I was expecting a product manufactured and packaged by On-Stage, and sold by Musicians Friend—instead I got a stand in a sandwich bag floating around in a shipping box. Luckily the stand was 100% un-damaged, and functions completely proper, so I didn't raise a stink about it. I purchased this stand solely to hang 3 Stratocasters…so I wasn't worried about other reviews that claim the stand will not accept acoustics etc… HOWEVER; I have acoustic and acoustic/electrics (three Dreadnaughts, and one Concert), and any combination of three hang just fine on this stand; so I have no clue what others are talking about. With 3 Strats, I have about 30 pounds hanging on this thing, and it holds up just fine. I don't plan on taking it out of my Studio, so it'll never get broke down—so I won't be able to speak of 'longevity' as far as road use goes. The wing screw feels a little cheap, so if a person is going to haul this thing to gigs, I would recommend they set the height ONCE, and leave it there when they fold it up for transport. Last thing: When it comes to 'stability' you NEED to position the feet directly under the guitars back rest. It's common sense. If you do that…unless you fall on or trip over this thing…it'll never tip over on it's own. Love the stand; but where's the box?White Dog
Our band performs in many small venues, so space is at a premium. This On Stage 3 guitar stand is designed to hang guitars securely in a vertical position instead of at an angle like other stands; this results in a much smaller footprint that is still extremely stable. The design eliminates the need for traditional bottom 'U' pieces that detach and can become lost; and the neck bracket that supports the guitar has upturned ends, eliminating the need for those traditional straps that eventually wear off or crack. You just fold up, pack, unpack, and unfold on stage – no loose pieces to keep track of. A well-designed piece of equipment, and it is now our go-to stands for shows.tommydalton

Reviews:
I gave it 4 stars only because of the whole nitro thing… Its a great product, does exactly what it is supposed to, and it comes with everything you need to safely install it on the wall. However, the packaging (and this is on all the manufacturers of guitar stands) says that the foam "may" react to certain nitro finishes. Why can't these things be lined with felt, or some other cotton fabric that nitro does not react to? Half of my guitars have nitro finishes on the neck, and they have been reissuing vintage era guitars for over 20 years, why is this still an issue? So I cut up an old T Shirt and wrapped it around the fork, just to be safe. It looks like crap now, but at least I don't have to worry about destroying a $2,000 guitar (or 2 of them). Can we please have ALL guitar hangers/stands be designed for nitro finishes? Is that really too much to ask for?Marty
This guitar hanger was perfect for me. I hung 7 guitars using these hangers. I hit studs for each one because it worked out well. The hangers fit every one of my guitars – 6 string acoustic, 12 string acoustic, Tele, Strat, Les Paul, Resonator, and bass. No quality issues. They look great and have a great design. RecommendedLGreen
Item arrived very quickly and was at a very reasonable price. The item is sturdy and the hook/cradle is consistent in shape with other String Swings that I have. I have 6 other hooks of the same type and place one underneath the guitar as well the one under the head stock from which the guitar hangs. This is my own paranoia rather than a weakness of the hook. I have had one pair of hooks for over 17 years and another pair for over 10 years, in both cases the rubber on the hook has remained intact and has not marked or dis-coloured the guitars at all. Overall I would recommend this product.stratandvox

Reviews:
I ordered one, liked it so much, I ordered two more. For my needs this worked perfectly for my classical, as well as my 12-string and 6-striing acoustic guitars. I like the weight and the balance of this stand. The padding that touches the instrument surface, I feel, is quite adequate. Had also hoped to "kill two birds" by using one as a tabletop music holder; it seems to do the job, in my case only by placing a ruler along either the top front of the stand (behind the book), and possibly other methods I haven't tried yet. Am used to standard guitar stands, so if I had small kids or pets of concern I Might be a little more cautious with type of stand, though, as with any free-standing instrument.Pat
I've always been happy with ChromaCast products in general. A decent product at a fair price. I've bought several different ChromaCast products they have always been a consistant quality and beat comparably priced items I have tried in the past.Soundman
Not the best stand I have, but for the low cost, you simply can't beat it. The build quality is excellent, and the welds (a common quality concern) are exceptional on this product. I've used this for stage and home use, and it's very solid. In fact it's sturdy enough to hold a five and four string jazz bass at the same time. This makes for an incredibly small footprint on small stages or tight rehearsal spaces. It folds for storage, with the only issue being the arms that hold the guitars don't fold, or cannot be taken off for even a smaller load. Regardless, this stand is such a deal for the price, it's hard to find any flaws. Due to space, this is the only stand I'm using at my home right now, and it's holding a 1400.00 bass. That is reason enough to buy itjamesbaghr

These hangers are fantastic. Love that they are made in USA! Look great! Oak looks the best. Comes with quality mounting hardware.crha-6660
I bought these for my 2 granddaughters to hang their guitars. It takes them off the floor space. Nice. Sturdy too. I 've one too and i really like it. it puts your guitar into limelight like a piece if art on the wall. Makes it easy to just grab and play it, too.lesterann
These are a game changer. They are rock solid and the guitars aren't going anywhere without a significant jolt. The only complaint I would add is that the mounting system that is included doesn't work on paneled walls without a bit of ingenuity.Dave

Reviews:
Product was packed really well, no signs of any damage to the wood. My main complaint is it was missing the two screws to attach the piece the guitar necks cradle in. For the price this is very disheartening. I am lucky enough to have screws and bolts in my garage that worked. Luckily they attached from the back so you can not see that they do not match. I would say a little over priced but it still looks good and serves its purpose. It did clear up the clutter. Keep in mind I had to take straps off the last 3 guitars as it would not fit properly. No biggie. Took me about 40 mins to assemble due to having to hunt down screws to fit.
I wanted a multiple guitar rack which folds into a guitar style case. However, the good ones are way too expensive. This wooden one is solid, attractive, and far less expensive. It's easy to load and unload guitars without bumping. Constructing is quite another matter. I'm well experienced and this one tried my patience. The instructions only have close ups which don't give a good idea of parts orientation. One threaded insert had a slight angle which made base assembly almost impossible. Manufacturer should post an assembly video and do a better QC on parts alignment.Eric
I received 2 of these stands. They are built pretty well, and the wood seems to be of good quality and they do look nice. The angle the guitars sit at is not very good. It is a pain to get them to sit in the stand properly. Also, the protective strip they use barely, and I mean barely is enough to keep the guitars off the wood base, and because of the bad angle, it's extremely easy to smack the guitars on the wood base when trying to seat them in correctly. Even when they are seated properly, they still sit extremely close to the bare wood of the stand, not a very comforting feeling. I will be applying something over the bottom parts of the rack to give better protection, as I'm not currently comfortable using this on my high end guitars. I would not recommend this product in its current form.Erik

Reviews:
Poul H.
The String Swing is a great product to display my guitars. The downside is it is not a easy install for a novice handyman. People will also have to have certain tools to install it.Jim B,
A unique way to safely house several guitars when space is limited and at the same time display them. I liked the fact that the fixing rail was not pre-drilled so that wall fixings can be set out to suit the particular situation. I'm now looking forward to having a choice of guitars ready to hand for playing instead of lurcking in various corners around the house. Many thanks to String Swing.tap108

Now that I've had this guitar rack for a while, I can say that it is a great piece of equipment. Very sturdy and easy to assemble and mount on a wall. Appearance and finish look good. String Swing Guitar RackI love the product's adjustability. I gave it 4 stars because I would prefer the hooks to fit a little snugger into the rack. The hooks tend to cant just a bit if the hooks are adjusted at an angle. If the hooks are adjusted straight on, then they're fine. It would be great if the hook backing were a little wider and thicker. They would fit better that way and you would still be able to slide them to where you want them. If String Swing could do that then this product would be perfect!graph18
