I have it hooked up to my guitar. So far its been performing extremely well – no degradation of tone and no lag whatsoever. Plan to use it in a band setting soon, so we will see how it performs there.Regarding Mute – when I switched to Auto scan, the unit went into Mute mode, and there was no mention in the manual about this. Power on/off didnt fix it. I noticed at least one other person had the same problem, but I figured it must be something basic since the unit was working fine earlier. All it took was to re-sync the IR – aim the transmitter IR directly at the receiver IR and Mute was gone.RJ

nbspThis wireless is really amazing, and especially for this price. I actually did a full video about it on Youtube, but I uploaded part of it here to Phenyx pro. The fact that you get 100 channels, auto scan/sync, 8+ hours battery life, 175 feet range, a carrying case, and a rack mount kit/setup…. all for this price is an insane deal. Overall: Worked great for 10 days. Today it started cutting in and out and when it did work it was muffled and low volume. Tried different cables, guitars and power supplies, even took out all of my pedals. Still sounded like absolute crap. Kind of surprising because Boss has a well deserved reputation for quality gear. It's a shame because when this thing worked I thought it was the answer to my prayers. I'm going back to my old AKG unit, meaning the inconvenience of a belt pack and feeding it batteries every couple of hours, but at least IT WORKS!. This one is going back.Lawrence

This little wireless unit does the job. Painless. I've seen the guys in my different bands use the Line 6 units they wear on their belt… but really like this one's ease. The adapted has 12 hours of life, sounds perfect on each side of the stage, and doesn't interfere with the other wireless units on stage. I was skeptical that pulling it from the jack would pop, but it absolutely does not. It has a slight signal boost as well. Best part is you can run direct with a cable and keep it plugged into your pedalboard, in the event you have to go wired. It's a great unit, plugs into my 9v daisy chain. Like a Mac, it just works.JD

Pros: The achieved wireless sound quality is truly outstanding, as good as when I'm using my 20-ft Zaolla guitar cable, which is a bit pricier than WL-50 (because its conductors are made of silver instead of copper). Kudos to Boss for this remarkable achievement! Cons: The WL-50 transmitter can be powered only by its internal rechargeable battery. My fully-charged transmitter works slightly over 4 hours after which its battery becomes completely discharged and unusable. The main problem is that charging the battery takes (by plugging the transmitter into the receiver) over 3 hours. It would be very useful to be able to swap the native rechargeable battery for some regular lithium or alkaline batteries.Guittarr

I need a Bluetooth transmitter so I can watch my shows at night without disturbing anyone. This device bears the Sennheiser label and while likely not actually manufactured by the famous German pro-audio company, it is still a reassuring logo, and so far it is living up to it. It will accept either digital input (via standard Toslink – cable included) or analog (via stereo 3.5 mm mini plug (also included). Also included is a USB power cable, but not the wall wart power supply (you've got plenty of them around by now.) Installation is easy, once you determine which audio output from your source is appropriate. This might be easier if you use the analog option, which might require a 1/4 to mini adapter to use the headphone output on many home systems. Bluetooth synced up to my headphones seamlessly and all is well. My own installation was a bit more complicated because I'm using an HDMI Audio Extractor box for the source. (Not made by Sennheiser.) Sound quality seems quite good through my Bose Bluetooth headphones; there is plenty of level available. When using a device like this there will always be latency as the sound is converted to Bluetooth. It is perceivable but if you can deal with lip sync that is a little rubbery it is acceptable – and unavoidable. Just be sure the loudspeakers are off. So far, with only about an hour of use, this is a product I would recommend.Steve

Writing this review to warn anyone else. I have some expensive Sennheiser PX550 headphones. Since they are the same maker, I assumed this transmitter would easily connect via bluetooth. Boy was that assumption optimistic. Absolute pain in the derriere to connect to Sennheiser, and I often have to go through the kerfuffle of trying to reconnect (sometimes unsuccessfully) after I turn off the headphones to conserve its battery. However, I have a pair of cheap Sony WH-CH510 headphones. Amazingly that connection works much better. And the battery on those headphones last for much longer, I think its about 30-something hours! Moral of story, Sennheiser prices seem incredibly inflated given their mediocre performance.SomewhatNarked

Does exactly what it's supposed to do. In a crowded room, with lots of cell phones and laptops, I plugged the receiver into my pedal board,and the transmitter into one of my Strats. I had no drops or interference of any kind. Units were left on for about 4.5 hours, and had plenty of charge to play at home. . . for some time in fact, and the indicators NEVER showed a need for recharge, I just did it. Recharge takes a while, but so far, I'm VERY HAPPY with my purchase.rizeri_v8mp6o

The product is great for use. The only issue I have, is that the unit defaults to the 1st setting each time it is turned on. If you are using more than 1 (has 1-4 settings), one has to change the transmitter and receiver to the desired setting when turned on.augerunl

THe product came fast. Charge time was about 4 hours. the led lights on the receiver are bad, so no lit. it was hard to find out but when i connected the guitar and it start to sound, its when I realize it was a led issue, not a device functionality. While is fully charge, it works perfect. once it goes half of power, you will start noticing interference on the signal. I would say, this device will work great for performance not longer than 2 hours. Try to stay away of multiple wireless signals…balvanete

I use this to watch sports on my TV that doesn't have bluetooth built-in and to not have the TV blasting while my partner studies. It works well with my Sony bluetooth headphones and I am even able to adjust the volume via the built in controls on my headphones. I also used it with my Anker bluetooth earbuds, but the sound control was not available with them, so keep in mind that the volume control is going to depend on the type of headphones/earbuds you are using. Other than that, the connection takes a couple of tries sometimes, but mostly works as it should on the first try. For $20, this is a steal as I even contemplated buying a newer TV since my TV is from 2014, but this little gadget works most of the time and saves me from having to replace a perfectly working TV. I was looking for a cheap solution…and that’s what we got. Most of the time, it works well. Our biggest gripe is the rapid dropouts. Very annoying if you’re listening to music. We’ve used this thing for months. The dropouts aren’t all the time but they might be getting worse. (My wife listens to music overnight with Sennheiser headphones. Not cheap ones at $150. As a Sennheiser owner for 40+ years, I strongly doubt the problem is with the headphones!) I’m upgrading to a different brand but if you just need a cheap solution, this will work.JoeSubie

When I bought this I did not expect as much in such a small package. This is a wonderful device and it not only works great as a BT Receiver it also functions excellently as a BT Transmitter. Sound quality is excellent as it works at a distance of approximately within 30 feet. I Use it with the TV for a wireless headset with excellent results as a BT transmitter. I also use it with a set of Bose speakers as a BT receiver and it works awesome and is easy to set up. The only minor flaw in the design is that when you switch it from Receiver to Transmitter it clears out the pairing data. I can live with this based on the excellent other features and the quality of the build. Battery powered also last over four hours so far. Will buy another one shortly. I made a bad mistake throwing out the receipt for this a day or so after having bought it. Did the "3 hour charge", tested it for a bit, seemed to power up, etc, then I turned it off and left it beside my little bookshelf stereo for the last 3 days. Now it doesn't work at all. Doesn't power on. Won't draw power from my computer with its included USB cable now, so it can't be charged. But because it worked for a little bit, I assumed it was functional and threw out my receipt… I made a terrible decision buying this. I got about 20 minutes use out of it and spent the price you see above… was it worth it? LOL. NO. The hilarious part is I have to give it at least 1 star, when it isn't worth anything at all – except the laughter they'll have at your expense for buying this useless plastic thing with wires that come out. Junk. Like most cheap electronics made in a certain overseas country these days. Just more garbage for the landfill.Hugh

In contrast to several reviews, I have had no difficulty using this unit to transmit sound from my tv to wireless headphones. Instant bluetooth pairing/connection with my headphones (I simply followed the directions provided with this unit), and no sound delay (which seems to have been a problem for other users). Perhaps the issues encountered by other users stems from the type of headphones used? I am using an LG flatscreen tv (~5 years old) and earbud-style wireless Jaybird X2 headphones. I even use an audio jack splitter connected to the headphone jack of the tv, with one Aluratek transmitter on each split, and my headphones paired with one transmitter and my husband's paired to the other transmitter (both same type of headphones), so we can both watch/listen to the tv at the same time. Two things about this transmitter: 1) there's a big sticker right on the box that states "Does not work with smartphones" (to clarify, you can use this transmitter to transmit music FROM your smartphone TO your headphones, but not the other way around); 2) the instructions state that your headphones MUST operate on the A2DP bluetooth profile. Best check out your headphone's bluetooth profile(s) before purchasing this product.Sarah

I brought this for my tv and it works pretty well but whatever I connect to it, it’ll always make a weird white noise that goes on for a while in one side to the other. It’s only really noticeable when nothing’s playing. Other than that it’s good for what it is.Emily U

Works well as usual. 2 issues – the range didn’t seem as good as the original version – particularly if you were between the transmitter and the amplifier. The battery life doesn’t seem as long as the old version either – though haven’t properly measured it. Works well. No latency. Charges via the Spider V amp. No need to pair, the amp and transmitter connected automatically. The only thing to watch out for is that if you leave the transmitter plugged into the amp, and turn off the amp, the transmitter battery will drain. My father's hearing has been declining over the past few years so I wanted to find something that would allow him to watch TV without blaring the TV. There are a ton of headset products for TVs on the market, but the problem with them is they are typically bulky and not that great of head phones. I was excited to find the Anker Bluetooth attachment because it allowed him to use his nice wireless headphones to listen in. Additionally, it's extremely portable so he can bring it to different rooms or even when we travel which is a huge plus! Setup was easy and definitely doable for non-technical users. It’s easy to use and it works well. A Bluetooth transmitter is not a receiver. It transmits audio from something that doesn’t have Bluetooth to a speaker or headphones that do have Bluetooth. This will not connect to your phone with Bluetooth; this is not a receiver. I was extremely confused when I could not get this transmitter to connect to either iPhone or an android tablet. I assumed it was broken since it refused to connect. That’s not what this device is made to do. Once I realized it was simply a transmitter, I was able to plug it into my non-Bluetooth computer speakers and transmit the sound I was playing on my computer to a set of Bluetooth headphones. I had zero issues pairing the headphones with the transmitter. The light turned from blinking rapid blue/red to steady blue and I was able to hear what was going on with my non-Bluetooth computer. You can also pair a second device. The audio was good, there was static when nothing was playing but it wasn’t overly loud. I had zero issues with connectivity and the sound quality is good, even when loud. No crackling or distortion. This transmitter was easy to charge and the battery life is long. Both the volume buttons work as anticipated. It’s easy to both turn on and shut off. This device is very simple and straightforward to use. It works! This great thing would convert any non Bluetooth device into one! Am not a tech expert and you don’t have to be in order to understand how this work! So far i used it almost every day to connect my Bluetooth wireless headphones to our smart TV , for some reason our new TV doses not have a built in Bluetooth and still i need to enjoy to some musical relaxation videos by myself and this device saved the day!
