It's not supposed to go this way. I'm supposed to exchange $100 for a scarcely tolerable practice toy that ranks 1.75x give or take below my mediocre expectations. I'm supposed to struggle with whether to return it now or just learn to deal with it. I had no drops or interference of any kind. Audio from the phone is crystal clear, and hands-free calls are higher quality than plugging directly to the port. Callers had no idea they were over Bluetooth. I bought this thinking it would be really awesome to use as an interface to get some good pedal and amp modeling without all of the gear. I am not an Apple user, but I do have a Macbook I use for work purposes. I tried to find Amplitube to use and it is not able to download the app to Macbook. It has to be either iphone or ipad. I used it with the built in garageband app and there is a lot of feedback and static that comes through the speaker when using the pass through fx. I am a little sad about this as I had high hopes.Scott
I've known about the iRig series for over 10 years, and I wanted something that would simplify recording my guitar, keyboard, and electric violin, so I took a chance and purchased the IK Multimedia iRig 2 audio interface. I expected it to work fine with my iPad Mini (generation 1) and my iPhone 7 (using Apple's Lightning to 3.5mm adapter), though I also assumed that it would not work when I tried connecting it my Lenovo laptop's headset input. To my surprise, it actually did work with my laptop. Have the Spark 40 and am very happy with it. The Mini, not so much. Biggest issue is that it is much to easy to overdrive the speakers, especially the bass. It is not very loud. It's OK for a small quiet room, but I really can't use it outdoors on the patio. It works best sitting on a reflective surface like a table. You don't want the bottom mount bass speaker facing, say, a rug. I love the iPhone / iPad app. It has a good variety of amps and pedals, but you really can't get the same sound as a tube amp like my Blues Jr IV. While it has a variety of reverb pedals, it does not have spring reverb. A big disappointment. I really like that it is battery powered, usb chargeable and really like the Bluetooth speaker function.Dave
I fell in love with the capability of the PG Spark 40 and I had to have this mini for it's portability! I pre-ordered mine direct from Positive Grid when they were running their pre-production discounts. I've been playing on and off for about 30 years. I wish this was available then instead of that clunky, weak Squire 15 amp I started with. The app for Android and iPhone opens up all kinds of possibilities! A starting musician and use the features to play along to their favorite songs or you can look up backing tracks to tinker along with. The standard hardware sounds are very warm, and the tone cloud gives you access to an unfathomable amount of tones modeled after near all of your favorite artists! It is more than enough to appeal to the budding guitarist to keep you interested! And for more experienced players, the options that are part of this thing are incredible, and will have you noodling with your Sunday morning coffee before you know it! The sound and tone quality from such a small amp is amazing! It sounds huge. You will quickly forget you are playing through a 6 inch cube. There are a bunch of amps and effects to create your own sound, and the Smart Jam and play along features are both fun and inspiring. Plus, the various tones in the ToneCloud are great for matching a tone to a song you are learning to play. Believe the hype from the reviews online. I will say that this is amp may not be for everyone. At 10 watts, it is not loud enough to gig with. Plus, I would not recommend this for a first amp. There are a lot of options that can be overwhelming for beginners, and the limited on-board options do not allow for simple plug and play. Beginners may want to start with something like a Black Star ID Code. There are also a few things I am not crazy about. Because of the limited on-board controls, 6 to 8 presets would have been better, plus the default presets are not that good. The amp models in the app are OK, but some sound too similar, plus each amp has the same knobs (Gain, Bass, Middle, High and Volume). Nothing to distinguish one amp model from another (Channels, Presence knob, Intensity knob, etc.). The same goes for the reverb pedals (each has 6 knobs whether or not the pedal being replicated has 6 options). The Vox Tone room has better amp and effect modeling but does not have all of the other jamming and recording options. So all of that being said, this amp is still fantastic for someone with some knowledge of amps (for example, the difference between gain and volume) and is looking for something small and discrete to play around the house (or apartment) that does not want to sacrifice tone quality. The battery power is nice for playing anywhere without having to plug it in. I've played mine for a couple hours without having to recharge. It is also a great option if you want to record your work. All in all, this is an innovative amp that is just fun to play, has a ton of options and sounds way too good for its size. Get one, you'll love it!Dan

Excellent piece of kit – for those like me living at close quarters with others, I'd even go so far as to say essential. Eight basic amp sounds (five for electric guitar, plus acoustic, bass and 'flat' response amps), each with three variants accessible via the accompanying amp, and a raft of effects. It's obviously portable and wireless-equipped – handy when I get chucked out of the living room – and serves as a pretty decent bluetooth speaker in its own right. I'll preface this by saying I am just a beginning/novice but I enjoy playing. I didn't think much about an amp until I visited a friend who had this unit and had a blast with it all week making songs that I was already playing sound cooler, and also then stretching to learn some new songs while on vacation where you can think about what "sound" you want. It works well and the wireless part just makes it much easier. You can still use a cord if you like or in a pinch I suppose if you were not charged up on your transmitter, but I like being able to walk around at leisure and strum.

NUX Mighty Plug is a very cool gadget, easy-to-use and the phone/tablet, Android app is great for tweaking your guitars voice to the sound you desire, I have only had it for about 3 hours now and already very familiar with the Mighty Plug and the app. There are many reviews on YouTube that will teach you to use it in no time. Great sound and easy edit from the phone app. Built it drums for practice/warmup. It also uses backing tracks but I haven't figured out how to have them play through the plug (they play in the phone). Also have another brand plug amp, this sound much better with added effects and multiple voicings. Rechargeable makes it better than my other battery unit. Could easily be a 5 star, except for the confusion with the backing track( not explained well) and possible longevity issues with the battery down the road.B.R.Williams

Theres no way this thing should sound as good as it does. It really does put the OR in MeteOR… I was surprised how well it pushed my old Laney 4×12 cab as well as it did. The only thing I wished it had was a foot switch to switch between the clean and OD channels but at least it has a clean channel.ushdaddy716
Bought one recently to pair with my Telecaster. Really good 2-channel amp for the money as long as you have a decent cab to pair it with. It's loud for its size, fairly versatile and extremeply portable. The Meteor is supposed to be modeled after the Orange sound, and while it doesn't quite get there, it does have tons of that British crunch on the OD channel and it sounds pretty convincing for what it is. The clean channel is quite passable and would make a great pedal platform considering these amps have an FX loop. The tone control on the Meteor is a bit too subtle for my taste, but again, the FX loop allows for tone shaping through other means. The Bluetooth feature is all but worthless and I wonder why the extra electronics and room wasn't used for something more useful like a footswitch input for channel switching, or built-in reverb/delay. Either of those options would have been infinitely better than Bluetooth connectivity. The headphone out supposedly has cab simulation; it's not the worst I've heard but it isn't all that great either. Overall, this is definitely a great amp that is easily worth the money if you're looking for a nice practice or studio amp for British crunch and classic rock sounds.barny1515

I purchased this item before Christmas and wow! I spent a massive amount of time on the phone and it didn't let me down. The range is good, not pulling a "Matrix" if I walked away from my phone. The battery indicator at the top of my phone is very handy as well. I like the call-waiting feature and the ease of use means even my 9 yo nephew can use it if necessary. My only complaint is the size. It's very easily lost because of the tininess of it. However, it's not really a detriment. Awesome little tool.JPrime

I followed the troubleshooting recommendation on the TPLink website. This must be a common issue with this adapter. The website said to remove the headphones from the bluetooth devices list and re-pair. Do this a couple times until it will finally start playing smoothly. Really? That's the process? I followed this process ten times and still would not play smooth audio. I then plugged in another adapter from ZEXMTE an everything worked smoothly. The TPLink UB400 is going back.Anonymous
I bought this for my Asus laptop, an older model that doesn't have bluetooth. When I try to link the laptop to a speaker for watching movies, the sound quality is utterly untenable. The very average speakers on the laptop are still miles better than the crackle produced using this bluetooth dongle. I can connect wireless headphones to it with reasonable sound, but the range is not good, far less than the range with the same headphones and my phone. Don't waste your money. I would have been better off buying an aux cord.
It may work just fine for you. It didn't work for me with Windows 10. So I downloaded the CSR drivers and found the whole setup rather clunky. I did get it to work, but not always. I was using it for Bluetooth audio to a small amplifier. It sometimes would force the windows volume control up to 100 and try to keep going. I had to unplug it, then plug it back in, for that to stop. This is when coming out of Windows standby. Not easy to remove due to its tiny size. Depending on this that and the other, it might work fine for you. Didn't for my setup, so removed it to the drawer. I tried to see patterns for misbehavior and could not. I use if for Bass guitar, far superior to Vox AmPlug MK 2 Bass and cheaper Bassment which both have a lot of background hiss (and poorer sound in my opinion), although it is move expensive. Takes a bit of getting used to having to use the App for settings etc but so much more versatile, check out the 'Mightier Amp' app as an alternative to the official 'Mighty Amp' app. Bluetooth connectivity for audio (jam tracks) a big plus. Design is good, when plugged in it is very unobtrusive and does not get in the way. I only use it for playing with headphones so can't comment on Audio Out/Recording features. Can't see me using Vox AmPlug Bass again!krisb372
