Double Electric Guitar Case For Sale (2024 Update)

I give this bag only 3 stars because unless Gator upgraded the bag or is making it in the U.S., I don't see the reason for the price increase. I bought one of these for a Sterling by Music Man bass as I was under the impression Gator bags were made in the U.S. when, come to find out, they're made in China (as are Fender gig bags). As the photos indicate, this bag will work for a Fender P Bass, but the Fender FB620 is a better bag for that and other Fender bass guitars while presently costing 10 less than the Gator while offering better protection and features. The Gator GB-4G seems to be more of a universal fit bag accommodating a wider range of sizes. The thing it seemed to have going for it the most was its zipper which seemed heavy duty. This bag is a bargain! Has plenty of solid padding and really offers Cadillac protection at a budget price. Have tested it with both straight and tilted headstocks and it works great with both, and offers much better protection than normal gig bags. Also offers more storage space than most other gig bags regardless of price range. Showed it to others in my original band and they couldn't believe the quality for the price! I've used the single guitar gig bag before and knew it was high quality and so far not disappointed at all with this new one. If you're considering a double guitar gig bag you can't go wrong with this one!PRSman

This was priced right and will do the job. It's not the most heavy duty bag I have, but definitely not the worst. All in all I'd recommend it for a gigging player with work tools, but NOT collectable axes. There's no real neck support in this bag, but if you're careful, you should be OK.Keith L

The case seems to be fine…waited over a month for the case to arrive after the guitar arived which meant not taking the guitar to the first leg of the shows. Other than that, seems to do what it it supposed to. I am not sure about the comments about it not fitting…very snug and does what it is supposed to do. The only reason for not adding the 5th star is that I have not been able to get it on the road as of yet and the time it took to get the case here. Get it together Epiphone.RideHD69

This guitar is absolutely beautiful in appearance. A bit neck heavy when standing but all doublenecks I think are. The guitar needed a setup when it arrived, (string height adjustment, intonation etc.) but most guitars from the factory do. If you are looking for a doubleneck for under a thousand bucks then you can't go wrong with this one.john

I bought this for a doubleneck Tele partscaster that I built, so I had to modify the interior slightly with some eggcrate foam. It's a decent case to store a guitar in, but I don't think it would hold up on the road. It works just fine to throw into the back seat for an occasional gig, which is what I needed it for. Purchased this case for my Fender Precision Bass. Mostly, will be kept in my studio, and occasionally on a few short gigs. Case seems sturdy, and I like the compartment size suitable for a strap, cable, etc. Also features a locking latch which is very handy. Pricewise, its a very nice case for my needs, without going into more expensive flight cases for touring. Very satisfied and should last for quite a while. Would buy this product again. Decent case for the money. Dimensions are a little off from whats advertised. Lower bout width is around 13-1/4 instead of 13-1/2 so my BC Rich Eagle fits a little snug. Overall, no more than I use it, itll work. Sure beats paying $300 for the actual BC Rich case. Also, if your headpiece sets at a steeper angle, it will put pressure on the headpiece. Depth is more for a Fender style headpiece.xv1700at3

I categorize gig bags into basically 3 categories ranging from completely soft, to soft with a semi-rigid perimeter, to a hybrid that is fully solid on the edges. The Fusion falls into the middle category. I tend to avoid the soft category as I fear headstock damage though I own several gig bags in each category. This bag may have risen to the top of my list. The other bag I have in this category would be the Mono Vertigo. While I understand what people like about it, I have issues with it. The straps aren't concealable. While the material is nice, the zippers are not waterproof and do let water in. Storage is minimal. The lining WILL wear quickly due to the way the guitar is inserted/removed. There's no adjustment to account for short scale instruments or offset bodies. As for the rigid hybrid cases, I own several of the Access Stage 5 and Protec Contego bags. The Access Stage 5 is the plushest but is heavy and expensive and not comfortable. The Contego is a little lighter while offering about the same level of protection and is more comfortable. This was the bag that I'd say the Fusion has just toppled for me in that it's even lighter and more comfortable for normal carrying. If I were forced to check a bag in, I'd opt for the Contego but since I don't take instruments on planes, that's not an issue.Steven G.

I was looking for a bass gig bag with +20mm padding, a toughened bottom end and pockets big enough for 2 Boss pedals. The Urban came up on Google. It ticked all of the above, and had chest and waist straps; I ordered one – the wrong one. A call to the office was all that was needed to get the order changed from a black to a blue bag. The bag came boxed the next day. Its padding is hefty enough to make for a stiff bag. The straps have clips to keep the ends tidy. A length of adjustable padding lets me make a nest for the stomps, wireless kit, a short lead and a few other small bits, inside the bag with my Ibanez SR300EB bass. The bass goes inside the padding; the other stuff, between padding and case. There are pockets inside the pockets. One of them had a Fusion key ring and lanyard inside. I wanted pockets and got them. I can fit my Blackstar Fly 3 Bass stereo pack in the biggest pocket. My Hercules EZ-Pack guitar stand fits into the head pocket with room to spare. The chest and waist straps help spread the load. I have, in the first day of getting it, gone on 4 buses and a train, cycled 7 miles, and walked more than 2, all with the bag loaded for my afternoon at the music studio. I stood the Urban in a corner, and it stayed stood. Try that with most bags. It's heavier than my other bass bag, but weight means quality, and you're not going to get this much shielding without weight. The width covers much of my back, blocking out my hi-vis coat. I would welcome more hi-vis on the main and Fuse-on bags or at least some hi-vis rain covers. I can at least put a hi-vis rucksack cover on a Fuse-on, as and when I get one. A staffman my music shop said I'd chosen well, he saw it, and they don't deal with Fusion. The bags are dear but well-made and will look after you.Mick

I researched carefully before buying this bag and this sure was time well spent. I travel in London on public transport every week with my guitar and need a tough bag with good straps and pockets. This bag is fantastic! It is so much better than my old one being stronger with great protection and a snugger fit for my guitar, and excellent good sized pockets. This bag has much more comfortable straps and amazingly it is more compact overall than my old one which used to catch on the doorways and overhead handrails on the train and tube. I also like that it is more rigid than my old bag and as a result it is easier to remove or replace the guitar without the bag collapsing all over the place. The neck protection in this bag is also far superior. Overall it cost half as much again than my old bag but I am twice as happy so worth every penny!Rob

I picked this up for my ESP LTD B206 and it’s perfect. It’s super snug so your instrument doesn’t move around. I love the neck support with Velcro enclosure to secure the instrument. I also appreciate the end pin padding. I keeps the end pin from poking through the bag. Well built and durable. On top of all that AMS matched a lower price I found online and I’m using the payment option. Fast shipping…I received it in 2 days so I was ready for Sunday worship service. I love this case. I always bring two guitars in case of broken strings, and different songs call for different sounds. Having both in one bag makes load in and out a breeze. my only con would be the straps need to be wider. two guitars no matter how light are heavy and wider straps would be better.Leon

Sturdy, lightweight, looks cool, and easy to transport! Doesn't have an enormous amount of storage but the big pocket is roomy enough for cables, tablet, etc. It's smaller than the the other dual bags I looked at and you'd be forgiven if you thought it was a bag for a single acoustic guitar at first glance. Inside it's nothing fancy but it holds the guitars in well and the material is the type that won't leave fuzz on your instrument. Well worth the money if you need to take 2 guitars along with you to gigs or practice. It's the perfect balance of good protection without being overly bulky or expensive. Check them out!AJB

This is not a snug fit, but it's long enough to contain the guitar. REINFORCED! Areas that touch the Tuners, Tremolo Block, Bottom Strap Pin have tough webbed panels and Exterior sides, expected areas of wear have synthetic leather panels. Very smart straps/hangers… GREAT BAG! 😁Bret

It should be made clear that this is a guitar bag, and not a hard case. It serves its purpose as a convenient yet very attractive way to locally transport my guitar, while also providing a few accessory pouches. Like most things now-a-days, it's made in China but seems to be designed and stitched well, with decent zippers, straps and handles. The only apparent downside is that the chemicals used in the production of this bag were retained within the shipping materials, and it smells really bad. A few days of airing it out should do the trick. Overall, this is a nice BAG.tully

This does not fit an acoustic guitar but shows up when u search for acoustic gig bag. its long enough but not wide enough. And they charge return shipping so 1 star for me. Quality is good if you bare using for a electric guitar or a very thin smaller acoustic.trevriffic

What makes this case a bad design are the slot sections inside. The foam buckles, folds and breaks pretty quickly. This causes a situation where when you are removing or loading your guitar, facing left, in the left slot it rubs up against the strings and saddles of the guitar in the left slot section. I bought a 2010 Les Paul Goldtop and it was in mint condition. It is not anymore. All the damage has been caused by the case and not rocking out. There are a number of scratches, dings and chips at the bottom of the guitar and in the back that were caused from the guitar slipping off of the foam that separates the two guitars while trying to slip the guitar in and out into place. The thin foam padding that they have at the bottom of the lip has fallen off and that has caused some dings and scratches on my guitars when taking them out and loading them in. I do like the case for the ease of mobilizing the guitars but the design of the slots and UX of the case has fallen short. I was hoping that in our times that these things would have been addressed during the research phase of design but based on what I’ve experience with this product I doubt that much research and testing was invested in the actual load and unloading of guitars of even the UX of the product. On their website they use language like “ Whether you call them your "Babies" or your "Axes", we know how important your guitars are to you…”. I first thought about baby strollers and how padded and safe they are. I thought about how the designers of strollers think about how to remove danger or harm to the infant in the stroller.Elijah Zane Echeveste

This case is okay not great. I don't fly I just bought it to throw in my car and go to gigs. The quality of the build is well below SKB into the Gator end of the spectrum, okay not great. It will not fit a Jazz style bass which I thought was unusual given the popularity of that style instrument. I bought mine on sale and was disappointed. If I had paid full price I would have been angry.

Beautifully designed and very attractive. It is perfect for short-term transportation of a Fender guitar. Well padded, with pockets for carrying extras. Excellent value for such a reasonable price. I love my Fender Telecaster and American Stratocaster, and I trust this gig-bag to keep them safe in short-term usage: taking to gigs or carrying the guitar personally. Obviously, for journeys where the guitar might be in the hold of an aeroplane or a van/bus, a hard case would be preferable, but if you are transporting a guitar personally, then this great-looking bag does the job brilliantly. Ok yes the build quality is decent and it's good looking. Don't just accept other reviews at face value that this is some kind of panacea of quality. It's fine. Probably wouldn't hold up to heavy regular use but for medium to light use it should be fine. The carrying handle on particular looks like it would wear out quickly. I don't gig a lot anymore so the price/quality seemed good. My biggest complaint and the reason I'm returning it is the sizing is kind of absurd. It's way too big. I bought mainly to use with a Strat and there are big gaps all the way around. Cases of any type only work well when the fit is snug. If there is slop, bad things happen. I've traveled with many types of instruments over the last 20 years and the ones that have never been damaged were the ones that were well fitted in their cases. Picture attached with Strat.DR

Amazing hardy durable gig case, thick zips and heavy duty outer material. Inner padding feels nice, firm and cushioned. Love the roomy front pockets for accessories, the backpack straps and chunky cushioned handle. I got the same series for my bass guitar prior to this and couldn't be happier with both of them! I have, in the first day of getting it, gone on 4 buses and a train, cycled 7 miles, and walked more than 2, all with the bag loaded for my afternoon at the music studio. I stood the Urban in a corner, and it stayed stood. Try that with most bags. It's heavier than my other bass bag, but weight means quality, and you're not going to get this much shielding without weight. The width covers much of my back, blocking out my hi-vis coat. I would welcome more hi-vis on the main and Fuse-on bags or at least some hi-vis rain covers. I can at least put a hi-vis rucksack cover on a Fuse-on, as and when I get one. A staffman my music shop said I'd chosen well, he saw it, and they don't deal with Fusion. The bags are dear but well-made and will look after you.Mick

I researched carefully before buying this bag and this sure was time well spent. I travel in London on public transport every week with my guitar and need a tough bag with good straps and pockets. This bag is fantastic! It is so much better than my old one being stronger with great protection and a snugger fit for my guitar, and excellent good sized pockets. This bag has much more comfortable straps and amazingly it is more compact overall than my old one which used to catch on the doorways and overhead handrails on the train and tube. I also like that it is more rigid than my old bag and as a result it is easier to remove or replace the guitar without the bag collapsing all over the place. The neck protection in this bag is also far superior. Overall it cost half as much again than my old bag but I am twice as happy so worth every penny!Rob

This is a nice, high quality bag but its not really made for a minion bass. Its made for a Minion Rhodes guitar. My Jackson JS1X minion bass fits but barely. Theres a lot of pressure on the headstock because of how tight it is – which reduces its protection.aaronheinly

Very well made gig bag. Holds the guitar cables and tuner etc in 2 decent sized zip pockets on the front. Very thick sturdy material. Jackson Soloist Pro fits like a glove. There is an extra layer of a thick rubber grip on the base of the bag which prevents water/beer soaking the bag and helps keep the bag stable.jonathan5774

It's a new bag with tags, though listed as "used." It's a very tight fit for the Jackson Kelly. You need to put the headstock in first and then work the back up over the body. It's well made and I'm glad it's got fabric corners holding it in and not just the zipper. It's a good substitute for a hard case when you compare the cost of any hard case for these weird-body guitars.frankb360

The molded ABS Exterior is very nice and suggests quality. But the substructure seems flimsy and is subject to some twisting and torque. The interior is very minimalist. It has a layer of black plush padding, but there is no compartment for picks, tuners or other accessories though there is plenty of room for one. The plush padding is very thin and seems cheap. The buckles and handle look and feel cheap. There is a velcro strap to secure the neck, but it looks cheap and not very well secured. It could use a 2nd velcro neck strap for better stability. I'd be concerned about a traveling with a heavy Strat or Telecaster in this case, or flying anywhere, as it may be too much for the case to handle after a while. Basically it's a low end case – but with an ABS Exterior. In my opinion it is not worth the regular price and is only worth considering at the sale price.Gary

I received this just a few days ago after purchasing a used one on clearance through MF. I bought it for a Sire P7 5-string, which it fits perfectly. It arrived in great shape, just about like new, with the exception of a couple of tiny nicks/scuffs you have to look pretty hard to find. The case is literally identical in every meaningful way to the Road Runner ABS bass case, which I have two of for other basses. The only difference is the interior of the Road Runner case is gray, while the MG is black. Materials feel exactly the same, cutouts are exactly the same, dimensions are identical, it has the retaining strap for the neck, and everything externally is completely identical, except that it doesn't say "Road Runner" on it. Having toured extensively with the Road Runner version, I have no doubt that this case will hold up just fine to light touring. I think I even flew with it once, but I wrapped a couple of straps around the outside, "gate checked" it and kept an eye on it. One of the ABS "extrusions/bumpers", for lack of a better descriptor, of the RR version cracked after some use use, but otherwise it has held up well. I expect the MG variety will do the same. For the price difference, it's a no-brainer. Get the MG. They're exactly the same in every way that matters. As long as you're not flying regularly with it, or allowing drunken roadies to toss it roughly into the back of a bus or trailer, it will hold up just fine.Bass Fella

Had my eye on one of these for a long time, so I finally pulled the trigger and glad I'm did. This case will suit my needs nicely. Fits 26.5" scale Jackson Dinky or Soloist almost perfectly. The headstock just barely grazes the plush lining, and it is not obstructed or pressed against the floor of the case. I couldn't ask for a much better fit. This case will be used for general transport to and from rehearsals, and I have no doubt that it will excel in that. However, I must agree with some other reviews here in regards to road-worthiness. I would not happily rely on this case to protect my axes from the rigors of a grueling world tour, but it's perfect for the hometown hero or simple transport. The outer ABS shell is flimsier than a real deal SKB, but seems sufficiently durable and decent for the price range. The interior is very soft, and cradles my instruments nicely. The security neck strap is a nice touch. Storage areas flanking the neck have plenty of room for a strap and other accessories, but no lids means keeping a trem bar there could be a little risky. I've found a pack of D'Addarios fits in the spaces nicely however, kind of making a makeshift lid, so there is that. The hardware on the outside of the case is sufficient, but not great. Things lock into place well enough, but when not locked they are pretty loose feeling. I'm confident they'll hold up, but I'm not blown away. The aluminum channels around the sides fit together well enough once locked, but I'm sure its not waterproof. There is an audible "click" when closing the case from the aluminum channels kind of snapping into place on the back. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. I got this case for a very stupid deal.(MF's Reward program ROCKS) For the price I paid, I am thrilled with it. However, the story would likely be a bit different had I paid full price. Make no mistake, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it that I have found.. it's just… adequate. But overall, Happy with my purchaseSkinnedpuppy

I had a cheaper dual gig bag that I had used for years to get to gigs. But as I got better, my basses got a little higher end and I wanted better protection for them. I had previously purchased a single Mono M80 on a whim and was using that for transport to practice when I usually only need the one bass. It's worked well and held up so I'm sure this dual model will too. I also got the "Tick" to pack-in my necessary cables and gear in one swoop. I can move it between my single M80 for practice and my dual for the gig eliminating the need to bring in my duffle bag of gear. That can stay put in the car with my spares until needed, freeing up a hand for the amp. Mono seems to be a good brand and I trust it to protect what's top end for my budget; my Stingray 5 and my American Deluxe Jazz V.Zeta05

Excellent Bag! Excellent quality!! This bag will last you a life time. My only concern is that it gets very very heavy when you put two basses into it. Right now it is holding two older MM Stingrays, and the bag weighs a ton! It's not a bag that I would constantly carry with me. Despite weight issues its a great bag!Ferd

Great case, great price. Protect your guitar, Les Pauls have a nasty habit of falling and breaking their necks. Just look on eBay, many used Pauls have a neck repair. Keep your baby safe and sound in a good case.jodaug

A Cahaya gig bag is a nice affordable way to tote and store your guitar around. It is well made and has a storage pocket for straps, strings, and picks. I recommend them.lmssrc
