Way lighter than the Ibanez and Marshall 4×12's I used to own back in the day. I use this with a rack power amp and a multi FX pedal from Zoom. Sounds nothing shy of amazing. Originally purchased while living in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, back in 2011. Currently living in Tacoma, Washington. Still using this cab. Still loving it. Amazing clarity, and phenomenal bass definition without getting muddy, even in super low tunings and on 7 string guitars, including with sub-optimal string gauge for said tunings. On a side note, a friend of mine still living in FL uses this same cab after I recommended it to him, and he has a Peavey 6505+, all tube head, and he said his $200USD mexican strat played through that setup with this cab at home sounds better than some fancy Jackson with Seymour Duncans he used to test the amp in store (Guitar Center) with the matching cab from Peavey, and an audio engineer mutual friend has confirmed this. These cabs are amazing, hands down. Get. One. NOW!! Thank me (and yourself) later!!Richard G.

Reviews:
Looks good, sounds ok. You could do better. Just like guitar center. The intended pairing makes no sense. No use in a 160 watt 4 speaker cabinet that only has a 80 watt matching head. That pushes 20 watts to each speaker. Get a 2×12 and it can power 40 watts per speaker. Also please be sure to ask them for the stuff that goes with it. They will probably remember to offer you speaker cables, and by offer I mean sell. However you will likely have to ask for your casters, presumably because those are free. Any paperwork went in the trash; don't even ask. If the cab shows wear and tear from being in the show room you may receive a discount but don't expect it. You are more likely to swallow a spider in your sleep. About 8x's more likely. If they, instead refuse to acknowledge the policy and thusly possibility of getting a discount even exists, then you will know one of the many reasons I choose to take my business elsewhere. Most important: do not rely upon their "expertise" if you don't know how to hook this up. They told me the wrong thing the only time I asked. That guy said he was the manager. No lie. Search online or ask someone at a local small shop or your dog even. They will be much less likely to incorrectly tell you how to hook this up, which will result in amp damage. The customers whom I've heard have problems with gear for which they purchased the protection plan even, never get resolution in store either so it's better not to press your luck. Don't buy the plan, ask someone knowledgeable at another store… Come to think of it, you should probably just shop somewhere else.Erik
Was soll ich sagen? Klasse!! Nix falsch gemacht!

Reviews:
Overall: When I originally began looking for a specific sound for myself after years of playing with mesas and Marshalls etc, orange was probably six on my list, and mostly because of their advertisements being geared toward a classic sort of tone and build, and certainly because of their history thus. However, I decided to try one out with my setup and never ever looked back. The tone is probably the sweetest when I'm using solid state and when I amp switch and head over to the tube head I get no extra noise, no dropouts, no buzzing and best of all, I get total amp control. I lose none of my tone either way, and the compression cloth that the grille is made from almost mixes and filters perfectly! This cab is loud, clear, and excellent for all types of music. I play jazz and heavy metal, so this cab gets put through it's paces either way. The thing straight up kicks assSteve
I bought this to go with my Orange Rockerverb 100 MKII. I have also used with with my Marshall Silver Jubilee 2555x and Peavey JSX. Regardless of what head is plugged in, this cabinet really shines. It has good top end with thundering bass that moves air but doesn’t muddy the tone. The clarity of the highs and mids are articulated very well with this cab and help any amp sit well in the mix both live and in the studio. I absolutely love this cabinet and wish I had bought one years ago. It really makes the true tone of your amp and guitar shine without compressing or muddying the tone like many other cabs do.Victor

This cabinet will blow you away, not only does it look like a million bucks, but it also sounds better than any cab i've heard. 120 watts is plenty for anything, it can handle a lot without being overpowered. i got rid of my old cab to get this one (1960 lead) definately worth the price..marshallman1
I recently purchased this cabinet with a 1959 HW Marshall Plexi Head! The sound is ridiculous! I believe its a great sounding cabinet altogether. If you are ever wondering what you are missing than play through these 30W Celestion G12H speakers. Very bell sounding even with the cheapest of my guitars from first acts, epiphones, to my lovely strats. I played though other cabs and this one beats it without a doubt. Only sad thing is I brought this restock, nowhere did it mention that it was not coming with the 100 watt script logo in the corner area. Bummed me out as the logo is what I dreamed of having on my cabinet. Thats only reason I knocked a star off. Yes it's a pain lugging around and squeezing into a Beetle, thank God for convertibles, but it's just so iconic see that beast under my plexi head!RandyV
I have used Marshall amps exclusively for over 20 years and have used many different amps and cabinets. My prior favorite, my go-to cab, has always been the 25W Greenback cab…until I tried this one. This is the only cab/speaker combination that can beat the Greenback cabs IMO. I can't speak for other amps…but if you have a nice Marshall, this cab will complement it perfectly. THIS is what a Marshall amp is supposed to sound and feel like. Outrageously good. The Rocker 1488

Reviews:
Overall: Positives – This cabinet looks amazing, is well built, sounds amazing at low volumes/perfect for studio recordings, and is easy to work/modify (added wheels and changed speaker wiring to series parallel).Negatives – Speakers are s***. If you use a head over 100 watt the speakers will break up in a real nasty mid range way. I rewired the speaker series and that helped eek out a bit more volume and mid range but otherwise it sounds awful at higher volume if you can get there. Overall – While I love the cosmetics of it, for my musical needs I would have bought a shell cabinet and filled it with good speakers. IF…you want a really amazing warm mid range studio or recording cabinet that breaks up beautifully at low volume then run to buy this because the price is right.
I’ve been debating upgrading to my first half stack for quite some time now and I finally caved. Not only is this cab extremely eye catching with the iconic Marshall logo, but the grill has a very vintage vibe as well and it makes for great decoration when I’m not playing through it lol. It’s very responsive to your attack, it sounds great at high and low levels, and for only $400 you can’t go wrong with this one.Jakebudd

Reviews:
Great cabinet, a longtime Marshall guy, but really love Randall now.Mitch
As many of you know already, there are many different big name brands that come with v30's in them, and i personally have no way to compare the difference in the way this sounds compared to other brands.I chose this because i have other randall products and i heard so many good things about v30's that i had to have it.I just got mine yesterday and i was blown away by the sound of this thing.I,m useing a laney irt120 amp and i run a randall rg3003 sometimes and both sound incredible through this cabinet.I love the angled front while the cab itself is square,,gives me options to stack better. It has.a switch on the back for 8ohm mono or 16ohm stereo use with two input jacks.I guess thats a good feature for people who know what there doing. It,s very heavy, but i aint moving it around since i dont gig anymore. It seems like it,s built like a tank.So time will tell as to the reliability,i just got mine so i cant speak on that.So far i got exactly what i wanted and it does pair well with my laney,i couldnt be happier with this cabinet.Hoss

Reviews:
This North Face top has an excellent fabric, nice colour, it is a stylish Summit series product. However, the sleeves are unproportionally long. And TNF sizing is inconsistent, the size XS is fit for the Thunder down jacket but too tight for this; therefore obliged to buy size S again.Emily HL CHAN
9 I don't think you can buy a better 4×12 cab for this price, or even twice the price. I've always loved Kustom cabinets. I had an old Kustom tuck and roll 2×15 bass cab back in the 80's that I wish I had never let go. I won't make that mistake with this one. I have two Pignose tube amps, a G40V combo and a G60VR head and it sounds really good with either one. I have to back off the bass EQ though because my Pigs have a very warm, full sound with this cab. Lot's of distortion too, if you want it. I like it much better than the Marshall MG that I was using. I like the way it looks, too. I don't think you can go wrong on this deal.Franky Jagz
This cab is super and will do what you want…..within reason. It is not a Marshall or Peavey but it has a good tone. It is only 120 watts so you don't want to run high wattage heads through it. I run a 100 watt Marshall head through it and it sounds great. It is lighter and a bit smaller than a full size 4X12 cab but that's OK with me. Easy to lift and drag around. It is made with plywood and NOT MDF. It seems to be well built. For the money I don't think you can beat it. If you want the full roar of a Marshall stack then look elsewhere. But if you want a 4×12 cab that will sound great in about any inside gig (no football stadiums) then this baby is for you.

For between 500-700 bucks, you get authentic Brit speakers, baltic birch shell and a selectable impedance switch. Its sound is incredible and full and other companies try to imitate it for much more money. The JCM 900 series is the best you can get and the last of the Marshall cabinets to feature the older Celestions before they sold to a Chinese firm and the production quality changed a little bit. It comes loaded with 75 watt speakers and the cabinet itself if in good shape, is literally compatible with any head you hook it up to. Buy one, become one with it.ivey.2013
I purchased this jcm 1960a cabinet along with the JVM head. Best equipment I’ve ever owned. I was shipped as promised and arrived on time as well, in perfect condition. If you wanna take your playing to the next level you have to invest in some professional grade equipment. This has taken my sound to that next level. Marshall equipment paired with my Gibson Les Paul standard and a few pedals. Thank you America music supply for making this so easy with you many payment plan options. Brian Demers

Got this at the PSL GC used for $149. It says "Marshal", but that's where it ends. This is Marshall's attempt to fill the low-end market with their name and they shouldn't have done it. Beginners cabinet, not designed for years of road use. If it wasn't for the fact that it was Like-New Used for $149, I wouldn't have bought it. If I had to buy a new 4 x 12 in the $259 price range, I'd go with is the Acoustic Lead Series G412A or jump up to the Line 6 Spider for $10 more. But Id be more likely to spend the $259 on a Used piece of equipment and get a way better cabinet. I bought this cabinet knowing that it would be a shop cabinet and that I would be replacing the speakers. That is the only reason I bought it. I would not buy this for road use, it wont last a year. Also, you will sound terrible and no one will want you to play in their establishment again. The speakers are cheap Chinese, so I replaced them with Eminence. Now it REALLY CRANKS. About the unit: Cabinet is 3/4" Pressboard, not Carbon Fiber. I knew that when I bought it, just letting others know. Its covered in a Carbon-Fiber looking Black Vinyl wrap. Handles are plastic and so are the corner protectors. These are some of the main reasons why I dont see this amp surviving road use. It should last me a while, if Idon't move it around too much and leave it in the shop. Speakers are cheap Chinese with small 4 x 5/8 magnets. For comparison, Jensen 10 MOD speakers have the same size magnets and the Eminence 12 speakers I installed, have 6 x 1 1/8 magnets. Gave it One Star because that's what it deserves. You cannot compare this to a Real piece of Marshall equipment. It's a Novelty Toy.drfrankenruger
For decades I played it cheap with homemade speaker cabinets or yard sale rejects. They got me by, but never really impressed me. Then I saw this one for an amazing price. Four 12's in a top brand name cabinet! Not only that, it was an open-box sale, so I saved even more. There were no realistically bad reviews for the type of playing I do, so it gave it a chance. Man! With my old refurbished Bassman 50 head, it plays loud and clean, open and woody – even with a bass! Should have done this years ago!Johno
This cab is an entry level cabinet, and is priced accordingly. For an entry level 4×12, it is okay. I bought this to leave at a rehearsal studio that is at risk for being broken into. I didn't want to leave any of my Marshall 1960 cabs there. If this MG412CF was stolen, I'd just shrug my shoulders, say "meh", and go get another one. This cabinet is not a cabinet that I would take on the road or would use while doing heavy local club gigging. It is a heavy cabinet, and I did add some pop-out casters to facilitate easy moving. There is no plywood in this cab. Opening the back revealed a sloppy glue job between the sides, and loose back supports. A quarter-sized chunk of the glue used to hold the sides together had fallen off and was resting in the spider wire of one speaker. If I were moving this cabinet much I would reinforce the cabinet with some inside corner braces. The carbon fiber looking covering is cool, but time will tell how well it holds up. The wiring was heavy duty, but for some reason Marshall epoxied the jack to the input jack cup. The speakers are actually okay sounding. They are not Vintage 30's, but they are voiced fairly well for this price range with tone evenly balanced between lows and highs. The hardware (handles, input jack cup, corners) are standard Marshall quality. The bottom line is you are getting what you pay for here. It's a decent entry level cabinet for the price, and it sounds okay.BlackBelt

The only thing that sucks if that it is pretty heavy but the casters that come with it work amazing, It showed up with a little scuff on the side but nothing I was too worried about.Andrew
I plugged this cab into my 1976 Kustom Amp. All I can say is this thing ROCKS, can't believe the clear sounds, not to mention when I kick on the Dimebag Distortion LOOK OUT this Randall cab rocks harder than my Marshall cab, I'll be buying another one and a Randall Head. As always thank you AMS. for perfect service.BADD67

I was surprised at the cabinets once out of the boxes they are super durable very nice quality.
So I used to have the angled version of this cabinet and I used to run it with an mg100 Marshall head I think that was my biggest mistake because the omage didn't match the cabinet and at high volumes it wasn't reaching its full potential. so I ended up selling the cabinet but with regret I sold it anyways since then I bought a few Marshall tube amps and bought the straight version of this cabinet to match up with them and it makes a whole world of a difference. honestly I really wish I still had the angled cabinet but you live you learn lol love the cabinet. g12e80 speakers they are very doable but might have to go for those g12 t 75 speakers later. anyways this is a good start for it great cab hope to have it for years to comeR.c. This cabinet is just what I was looking for sounds awesome, very loud and pushes a lot of air..
14. Mesa Boogie 4×12 Rectifier Traditional Straight Cabinet
Product Details:
Rectifier traditional 4×12 cabinets are three inches shorter than the oversized standard rectifier 4×12 (width and depth dimensions are the same). this slight size difference produces a tighter and more focused low-end response, though still delivering massive 4×12 punch and authority. compared to standard recto 4x12s, the traditional 4×12 provides more balance between lows, mids and highs and a greater emphasis on attack. the mid-range is more pronounced and this cabinet is often preferred for styles that require tight tracking and articulate response. straight cabinet designs also provide for a small increase of interior cabinet space, which yields slightly more bass and low-end resonance compared to slants. some players prefer the straight-style cabinets with all speakers attached to a one-piece baffle and all facing the same direction, effectively coupled for maximum punch and frontal projection. other players prefer slant-style recto 4×12 cabinets, which offers a monitor effect due to the top speakers sloping up toward your ears. this can be a benefit when playing live. regardless of slant or straight, if you are playing a recto 4×12, your tone has authority, clarity and detail that only mesa traditional or standard 4×12 rectifier cabinets deliver.

The best!.. awesome sounding cab, highly recommended.ezmayding
I own 6 4×12 cabs, and this one is real cool in a different way. Mesa oversized cab, Marshall V30 loaded cab, and this one is the sound I've been missing. I run a EVH Stealth head into it and it's a perfect match. Ran into my 16 ohm and 8 ohm Mesa oversized cabs the sound is a bit nasally. A bit bloated in the lower range, and overall unclear. The Greenback EVH cab is super clear and allows me to turn my mids up. I suggest this cab for the EVH 5150 iii Head. Crank the mids and let this cabinet do its thing.Guitarguru69
I use the EVH 412 with a Bogner Uberschall (EL34) and the pair is fantastic. EVH speakers are the same as Celestion Heritage G12M 20 Watt speakers. The sound/design is the same. The difference is the sticker on the back of the speaker. Compared to Vintage 30s, Heritage G12M speakers have smoother mids with a balanced sound throughout all frequencies. If you enjoy the Celestion sound, but find the Vintage 30s to have a bit too much hump in the mids OR you find the Vintage 30s a bit too beamy with mids, then you should consider the EVH 412 cabinet.D.Unit

I have this cabinet. It has Stephens V-30s in it. NOT Greenbacks as described. Which is even better (in my opinion)..Peavey fan
I just bought one of these at a local shop. Hands down the best speaker cabinet Peavey has ever made for guitar. It really brought my amp alive! Most of Peavey's cabinets always seemed dark to me, but this is really present and has a great range. The speakers give a real 3D element to the sound, almost like you can reach through the speaker cabinet! You will love this box!Soupy

I love Marshall… I have a few original 1987 Jubilee Heads and Cabs. I couldn't wait to buy all new Jubilee Heads and Cabs. Every one I received was dented and torn. One was even smashed to the point the grill popped out. This is Not Musicians friends fault nor UPS. Only Marshall is to Blame… trying to save a few cost them their reputation on this fail. The Heads are packaged well… but the cabs… not so much. Don't plan on getting one delivered in perfect condition… not gonna happen. Buy them cheap or pass imho.BMAC
I ordered two of these and one came with the tolex ripped along the length top corner and the front plastic corner piece cracked, along with some other cosmetic damage. This marring clearly occurred in factory, before boxing, not during tansit. I called to return it and was charged SEVENTY for return shipping so I could bring the 100lb. cab to the carrier myself. Only after an hour on the phone with customer service was I able to have the return shipping waived and get home pickup. Despite the cab itself being awesome, the hassle of dealing with returning a damaged-at-the-factory product makes this a terrible deal.DJW

Reviews:
I have one of these and the thing is tough that's for sure. I've had this particular one for about 6 yrs or so and Its been all over the place. You can really dial in some great tones with it. The classic line 6 tones are top notch in these pre-usb era models, true grit , smooth, and triply if you're into the acid rock type. Plus if you like earlier Metal this was the amp most young musicians were playing in the late 90's. I kind of prefer it over a lot of other amps strung about that may be because I am familiar with it though I think its because it reminds me of that time era and the sound is comforting . Really, I guess it depends on what you are using it for. Its quick and versatile. But… It is what it is and it will never be a Marshal JCM or one of the Fender Classics there is no substitute for them and they're not trying to be, but its a great intermediate-pro model and for $100 you cant beat these second edition Spiders. Rock on man!!juice_3311
