I replaced pickups in my old Madeira bass. They were thin-sounding, weak and I think there was some short. After 35 years, I used my gift card and treated myself to these pickups. I wired them myself, tested them out, and was floored. Nice, powerful sound, strong tone and more harmonics. There are no negatives with this product. I would strongly recommend this to anyone looking for tone improvement.James
I have Fender P bass, no surprise there. This pickup really shines with distortion, overdrive, and fuzz through my tube amps. The dynamic range and tone of this pickup really shows up with all my overdrive pedals, etc. I notice this pickup pushes my amp more than the Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound pickups I have in another P bass of mine. The SPB-2 has a more vintage voicing than the very popular Quarter Pound SPB-3. I like the mid and crispness I get with the SPB-2 a bit more than the SPB-3. My only issue (though minor) is with installation, I wish the foam that goes under the pickup pushed the pickup up more. Namely, the foam needs a little more resistance to the mounting screws. I had to use different mounting screws to get my pickup as high as I wanted it. This might be particular to my bass though. Overall, this is pickup is great for heavy/loud music styles: posthardcore, math rock, punk, metal. I don't play mellower music or solid state amps, so I can't tell you if it good for those applications. But I can say that my individual notes were more articulate and filled my space (moved more air) with these pickups. Chords sounded very powerful too.MathRockerChris
If you're looking for that vintage, dark, Fender p-bass tone, this isn't for you. If you want a strong attack, articulate highs and mids with a booming low-end that's loud enough to drown out the drummer, then this is a great option. I installed these in a project bass that I made for aggressive style rock and punk without distortion or much overdrive. After a lot of research, I chose these. I installed them, plugged in, plucked a quick riff, and then turned down the amp. These things are loud and the tone is pure aggression. I'm extremely pleased with this pickup. It delivers as advertised by providing a modern, aggressive tone that has punch and attack with a solid low-end that cuts through the mix.DaveH
2. Seymour Duncan Smb-4d Ceramic Music Man Bass Pickup
Product Details:
These jazz bass pickups capture the tone, feel and articulation of a great 62 jazz bass. seymour duncan harnessed the warmth, subtle aggressive attack, mid-range growl and the j-tone that sits just right and voiced it to go lower than before. why should you limit amazing tone to 4 strings? seymour duncan adjusted the coil geometry and winding configuration to compensate for the different nature of extended range instruments. its now possible to capture the subtle characteristics of traditional j-tone all the way down to the low b. this pickup uses the wider cover size of the modern fender jazz v basses. if you have an older 5-string jazz bass, use the 70/74 model for the proper fit. hand built in santa barbara, ca, the 67/70 jazz bass pickups use hand ground alnico 5 rod magnets, forbon flatwork, come with black covers, and are vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance. vintage output neck and bridge single-coil jazz bass pickups for 5-string jazz v basses with the wider cover size.

I installed this in an Squier dimension bass. I had already installed an S.D. musicman preamp. This pickup gave me the stingray sound or at least close to it. I had to route out the pickup opening for it to fit. It was worth the effort tho. I wish it was priced closer to the Wilkinson $31 I bought for another bass. $95 seems a little high. Because they have close to the same sound. Or at least I don't hear a $64 difference.maverbivin
Overall: We have a 1996 Korean Epiphone RockBass parts-caster that's been around forever in the rehearsal room, so we decided to switch out the Jazz body for a Made In Korea Hondo P-bass body with a small humbucker in the bridge position, split coil in neck postion. We did a small amount of routing to the Hondo body (found out it was solid, not laminated), then added the SMB4D. Wired as full humbucker with the stock split-coils in the neck postion, with 3 volume pots,1 tone. The SMB4D changed that old Korean solid body import into something I never imagined. It kept sounding awesome,no matter what we plugged it into. We layed down some bass track running direct into an RME Babyface Pro,duplicated a precorded track using a USA Fender Precision. Wow,and double wow…the tonal harmonics, all the needed mojo for great bass tracks are in this Music Man replacement pup from Seymour Duncan. It shines played through high $ player's amps…it's the real deal tone-junkie pup. Very happy with this purchase.Kenneth
Overall: I purchased this pickup to replace the stock one in my Sterling Ray4 Sub Bass which sounded OK before. But now…WOWI highly recommend this pickup if you are going to use your Ray4 for gigging. You and your band mates will be very happy. The bottom is very punchy and clean,The mids are smooth, and the treble rings through clear. You figure $300. For the bass and $100. For The pickup both through zZounds plus the cost of my friend who installed it.For less than $500. I have a Bass that holds its own day in and day out.I bought the bass and pickup both on zZounds payment plan so that made it much easier for a working stiff like me to have quality gear without having to go broke.Gary

Reviews:
Years ago I removed the active circuit from my bass and wired it up with two volume, two tone, and a series/parallel switch. The control over the tone with this circuit is amazing and the switch still tricks people into thinking its active. Flip the switch and theres a marked increase in bottom end and output. At a show recently I noticed an excessive amount of hum on songs when I turned the neck pup down a bit (this destroys the hum canceling nature of the circuit). So, I decided it was time to find a set of Humbuckers. And I have to admit I am glad i found these. I play flats with the neck pup dialed back a bit and the highs rolled off on the bridge about halfway. I get the warmest low mids without being "woofy" in the bottom. It cuts through the mix without being glassy on the high end or boomy in the lows. These pickups compliment my sounds and style wonderfully. There are dozens of wiring oprions with a set of 4-wire humbuckers. These pickups are well made. When I pulled the stock fender pickups out of my Marcus Miller Signature, the quality of the DiMarzios was apparent. The stock pickups were light and cheap feeling and the covers were easily removed exposing the windings. The DiMarzios were heavy and solid with plenty of wire length and the covers were fitted on snuggly. I have to admit, I bought these because they were the cheapest replacement humbuckers I could find. But despite the price, they are extremely well made and sound absolutely fantastic. I am more pleased with the tone of my bass now than I ever have been. The improvement in my tone is worth more than the hundred bucks I dropped on the set.
Howdy there, I put these in my 2015 Fender J, and so far, am most impressed. The hum associated with the stock pickups is almost totally eliminated with an average cable; with a high quality shielded cable, my axe is now ultra quiet. Very welcome change! They are very well-made, and look cool with the all-black housing contrasting with a white pickguard. Sound quality-wise, these pickups have slightly more output than the stock pickups, are tonally smooth as silk, with an earthy, well defined mid-range (especially low mid range) growl. Sound very nice when run through both my Peavey and Fender amps. As I am primarily a classically trained "finger-picker," The growl just mentioned is noticeable, yet subtle….played with a pick, it's downright nasty!! In my humble opinion, these are perfectly suited for rock, country, and blues genres; however, for slapping and popping, I would likely opt for and recommend a pickup that delivers more treble range and output. On the other hand, with the right equalization, I am sure that an acceptable sound quality can be achieved with the DP123s. In summary, I highly recommend these pickups for many types of music, and I am most happy with my purchase, especially when the price is factored in. Looking forward to a long and happy relationship lol! Rock on!Big DL
I need noiseless pickups because I don't play with both pickups up all the way. I love all the in-between sounds best. I took the custom 60's fender pups out and swapped for the newest Fender gen 4's. They were quiet, but lacked attitude. Meanwhile, in my other jazz I put Nordstrand split coils in. They blew me away and made me ignore the gen 4 bass. So I HAD to upgrade it as well, but did it for about 1/2 the price with these DiMarzios. I would say they are very similar in sound and quality to the nords. The nord bridge has the better sound to me, but the DiMarzio has the edge on the neck pickup. DiMarzio recommends using a 500 k pot, I did not. The 250's sound great, so I left it that way. I suppose if they aren't bright enough for you, then swap pots out. Oh, and the adjustable poles are great advantage as well to perfect string balance.Andrew

Reviews:
I replaced the pickups and circuitry of a new Squier Classic Vibe '60's Precision Bass, first with EMG pickup (Did NOT like the EMG) then the Aguilar, after seeing reviews. I also replaced pots with Bourns 250k Linear for Vol. and Bourns 250k Audio for Tone, installing a 0.068mf capacitor on the Tone pot. Terrific combination. There is a fine range of tone with these pickups, nicely governed by the Bourns. Really lovely deep clear growl on the low E, so it's a pleasure to be doing scales and riffs down there. The .068mf cap filters off the thinner, snappy upper string sound, so there is more useable range since the A, D and G don't sound tooo thin and barky on the low frets. That single, inexpensive capacitor change makes a fine difference! Oh, also installed a Fender higher-mass bridge, as seen in photo.Andrew G.
Aguilar 4P-60 4-String P Bass 60's – High quality of pickup. class A . I installed it on my Fender P bass made in Japan and you can hear the difference straight away, bright and load of mid with full open tone, and if you close the tone old Motown sound that take you right to old funk club. this is very good replacement for MIJ or MIM bass or take every "on the budget" bass and make it high standard bass (or if you build you own bass kind of guy or girl) . this is top a product from top A company that give you 120% value for you money.kinkyroy2
It is just the sound I wanted.. Great fat sound with nice high end and a good " Nose" sound.dijk_79

Reviews:
I was excited to get the geezer split pbass pickup. After some manipulation it's great. I had to reverse the pots to allow the ground to reach the bridge. I'm concerned why a 4 inch ground was supplied while ample cable was supplied to the rest of the process. Maybe I bought one that was made after lunch. It does sound great. But to EMg qc Make the ground cable longer. My USA pbass from 94 did not have a compatible channel to the bridge. Had to Go hd to buy spec bit to make it happen. Rock onConor Daily
Overall: I bought these like 6 or 8 months ago for a Squier Affinity PJ Bass. The J pickup wasn't a throw in like the P pickup. I had to expand a little bit the pickup opening to make it fit. The installation was a hassle. I originally bought these for the "convenience" of solder less installation but could't get it to work.Had extra low volume and lots of ground and hiss. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times with no success. I gave up. Last week, I decided to try again. I ignored the instructions and started experimenting by inverting some of the connections. After a few trials and errors, I inverted one of the tone connections and problem solved! Now they're sounding good, punchy and with no hiss or ground noise whatsoever. In conclusion, installation can be way harder that one would think of solder less connections, but the end result is very satisfactory to the ears.Cesar
I got these to replace a faulty fender pickup that packed up in a almost new instrument. Turned out that it was so overwound that the copper was rubbing on the inside edges of the pickup cover. This plus all sorts of debris & dust under the pickguard resulted in cutting through the winding. Anyway I couldnt be bothered going through the hassle returning the instrument & thought Id try these toneriders ,they are easy to fit & of a much higher quality construction over the vintage fender ones. They sound much better also, they are full bodied & punchy with slight break up distortion only at the very top end of the volume knob which sounds good, i think thats why they describe them as hot vintage. I was initially concerned to replace the stock ones but these are great fun & much better so it worked out nicely in the end. Oh the tonerider has vintage wire & the fender ones did not even though they were supposed to be vintage models. These I honestly recommend.johnthecarpfather

I wanted to replace the old worn out pickups in my BC Rich Platinum series bass (P-bass style) with some new active pickups. Did some research and came up with these EMG pickups. I had to do just a small amount of routing for the bridge pickup, but nothing major. Got them put in, and all the electronics that came with them, and put new strings on, tuned up, and had to re-set it up, and what a difference! Made it a whole new bass! If you are wanting to bring your bass back to life, or just an overhaul, consider these pickups. Easy to install, no soldering, and they sound amazing.Jesse
I went in with these as a HUGE fan of EMG pickups, but this was my first set with the "solderless" electronics. Well, I was not disappointed. They replaced the pickups/preamp in my '87 Charvel B3, which already sounded great, but some of the controls were malfunctioning. These EMGs not only improved the sound, they also have a bit more output, and range.doublediver
Love it. Had no problems installing these on a passive Warwick Corvette Standard, plug and play. Guitar's pickup slots are more rounded, so I had to remove a little piece of wood for it to fit in, but it's unnoticeable and was required only in 1 pickup. Important – This item includes also 3 knobs+electronics, there's no need to order those separately! When I made the order, no where on the page it mentioned that nor had any image of the package contents, it shown only the pickups, so I thought I redundantly ordered them separately, which doubled the cost.kofif
7. Fender Yosemite P Bass Pickup

Reviews:
I put these in an American professional jazz to be able to blend without noise. I chose them because I wanted it to remain a completely Fender bass. They aren't absolutely horrible sounding, but I have decided the only way these companies should make noiseless "single coils" is by using side by side split coils. Not stacked dual coils. Splitting the coils gives good output, attitude, and a low mid bump- you know the kind that makes people love P basses. Everybody is figuring this out except Fender- the greatest guitar maker in the world. Aguilar, Dimarzio, Nordstrand, Seymour Duncan (recently), mojotone (guitar pickups), Fralin. They've all figured out the noiseless thing. I ended up with Nordstrand NJ4SE in one and Dimarzio model J in the other. Love both of my jazz basses now. I love you Fender, but get in the game with your pickups!Andrew
I don't know if this is the LATEST version of the noiseless jazz bass pickups…it is so hard to keep up with Fender as they roll out newer versions, however, this is a great replacement to older jazz bass pickups. It really as close to noise free as you can get as you solo each pickup individually. As most jazz bass players know, the single coil aspect of the jazz bass pickup is GOING to get some hum or noise unless you are playing both the neck and bridge pickups at the same time to cancel out noise. This retains the signature Fender Jazz Bass sound with great clarity with the advantage of being noise free. Highly recommended!!road-cat1
These are a special wind from Tim Shaw, the ultimate pickup guy at Fender. They are capable of perfect vintage deep bass while throwing out strong mids and super crisp, bright highs. Not super hot so you still have to work if you want overdrive distortion, which is a good thing. These have become my favorites for all my Fender builds–basses, teles, and strats.bobvarns

Gutsy and rich! Feels classic and legit with both fingers and pick. Combined with the other hardware I can get more than enough brightness, even with flat wound strings, which can be controlled nicely using an appropriate tone pot. Seems challenging to tame the attack without compression, but getting used to it finding the right pickup heights, hand sensitivity and tone settings. Lot's of tone to work with. Using with: P'Bass, Flatwounds, 500k volume, 50k/no load tone w 22uf cap.Owen B
I got this pickup to upgrade an SX Ursa 1 bass from Rondo Music. This pickup is LOUD. And lots of bass. I selected this one because it had equal amounts of bass and mids, prefer not to use "scooped" pickups, at least for a "P Bass". Very good tone, and much louder than my bass with J pickups. For my Ampeg SCR-DI that I use for practicing with headphones, I'll need to set it for "passive", this pickup is overloading it some! The parallel mode seems a bit scooped, and less bass, and the series mode is the loud, bassy one.Eighty Eight Fingers
I've used two of these pickups now on two different basses and I absolutely love it. It's super punchy, articulate, and bright. It sounds great for both slap and fingerstyle playing. I am flabbergasted that an inexpensive passive pickup sounds this good. I currently have a .087 μF capacitor on my tone control and find the full range to be useful. I think a .100 μF capacitor might be better though. This is a very bright pickup so I'm almost always rolling a bit of trebel off.Upright Joe

Reviews:
Overall: I bought this along with a Quarter Pound P-Bass pickup as upgrades to the muddy EMG-designed pickups in my mid-90s Alvarez "Villain" 4-string, and the difference is impossible to miss. SOOOO much more clarity, punch, character, and output! The midrange is pronounced, but not overly so – i'm getting a noticeable boost in all frequencies, but now my bass has a voice and presence it never had before. A lot meatier than the cheap stock pickup, I hear the bass cutting through my guitar tracks without drowning anything out. Clarity without being too sharp or brittle. I play mostly metal, but I also dabble in R&B, funk, and blues, and this set is perfect for literally everything. I've seen a few reviews complaining about 60-cycle hum (it IS a single-coil), but my bass is shielded well so I haven't had any buzz whatsoever. If you're worried about noise, don't – just spend the couple bucks for the copper shielding tape that your bass should've had installed at the factory and spend half an hour putting it in the control cavity. Buy this pickup. Or better yet, buy a set to fit every slot in your bass.Ben
Because it is a 4-string bass (I am a 5-string player), I use this for more challenging practice sessions. At first I was not sure I wanted to replace the Fender pickups so I considered the replacements to represent my willingness to take a risk. But, after hearing them installed in my bass, tested yesterday, I was extremely pleased with the life infused in the bass. Still passive, the USA Fender Standard JBass is now even more amazing. I am even contemplating not bothering with the pre-amp upgrade so as to not adversely impact the sound we achieved with the pickup swap. Unlike other "upgrades" I have had before where the improvement seemed suspect, this one left no room for doubt. I am relieved to see my money was well spent.Win Bass
At first I must clarify that this review is for the pickup SET that I bought (both bridge and neck pickups), and not just this neck pup. The SJB-1 set is an awesome sounding set, with a real vintage vibe. Ballanced across the bass frequency spectrum, with solid lows, present mids, and crystal but not overly harsh highs. Excellent build quality, easy to install, greeat sounding. A bit pricey though. All in all highly recommended for anyone in search of the vintage tone!!
10. Dimarzio Dp146bk Will Power Bass Pickup
Product Details:
Billy sheehan has used the original dimarzio model p and model onegäó bass pickups for many years. these are the exact pickups billy uses in his signature yamaha basses. the will powergäó neck model is very deep-sounding with great low-end definition. its dimensions are the same as the model onegäó, but it's a little louder and fatter-sounding, and pole piece spacing is slightly wider for better string alignment with long-scale basses.the will powergäó middle pickup is a p-style pickup with tremendous punch and mid-range power. the overall sound is similar to the dimarzio model p, but a broader magnetic field lends more impact to individual notes and harmonic overtones. both pickups are humbucking with 4-conductor wiring.

Great pickup . Good valuejimibonobo7
Hot pick-up! Has ALOT of low mid growl with the expected 'p bass' punch. Non of the high end harshness that come with some other 'hot' pick-ups. Can't really say anything bad. If you know Billy's sound, you know the DP 146. (stereo bass or not) It's all about personal taste, but I highly recommend at least trying it out without a tone control (volume only). Let the full spectrum of sound flow into your amp and tailor at the preamp = AWESOME! (That's the way the Yamaha attitude LTDs are wired …with the tone control affecting the neck humbucker only) In a sea of aftermarket splits, this one definitely stands out.hogslug

Because it is a 4-string bass (I am a 5-string player), I use this for more challenging practice sessions. i must say, i was a die hard EMG fan until i played the four string version of these in a mexican jazz and was floored by the outstanding improvement in output and tone. i have never heard a passive true single coil pickup with that kind of growl. the low end is quite prominent but not flabby or overbearing. the midrange is very articulate but also very malleable. the high end, while not cutting edge sharp, is clear enough for pretty much any genre that i can think of. although some out there might desire a little less output and a clearer high end, i would go so far as to say that these may be the best jazz bass pickups i have ever heard.Antman983
i bought these for my VM squier 5 string jazz bass. it sounds great now! i had never soldered anything before, but i was able to get these wired up in two hours or so. the instructions were fairly clear, though it definitely would have been easier to understand if i had a little electrical knowledge. just don't solder the bridge pickup into the neck slot like i did, you'll have to start over 😛 the output on these is higher than the stock pickups on my MIM fender jazz bass, and WAY higher than the stock ones i replaced on this 5 string jazz bass. my biggest complaint about the existing pickups apart from the low output level was that the treble was weak and seemed to taper off dramatically above ~2kHz. these sound nice and bright, which is exactly what i want for a jazz bass. it's great for the growling sound i need in punkier stuff, and also opens up the clear, singing tone on lighter fingerstyle playing.casey

Works Great! Easy to install. All hardware to install was included even the screwdriver and alen wrench.Paghosthunter
I installed this unit on a five string bass and use the GI20 MIDI convertor. Both are working great. I find the tracking and accuracy rate very good overall. I found the installation straight forward. The pickup comes with all the adapters necessary for most bass configurations. I will note that I had an initial tracking problem that was due to my rush to try the darn thing out. On the neck side of the pickup are two screws that allow you to adjust for varied string spacing. Make sure you take the time to align these. It greatly increases the accuracy of tracking. PS. Thank you Roland Support! they had me squared away in less than ten minutes.Mickey D.

Reviews:
The Squier Bronco Bass delivers exactly what I expected. It's a 30" scale bass with a body shaped like the Fender Mustang bass; it has a single pickup (I believe it's a strat pickup), is fairly light weight (mine weighs in a 7 pounds 10 ounces), and it's a fun little axe. It's also the lowest-priced bass by an actual musical instrument company. How do they keep the price down? One way is that this is the only bass I've owned that has no fingerboard. It doesn't affect anything, but the front of the neck IS the fingerboard. The hardware is okay quality. But here's the thing – it sounds decent, feels great, plays well. There's going to be a little luck of the draw in a lower priced instrument, but my tuners stay in tune, intonation was on, everything is good. There was a little too much neck relief, but that was easy to adjust. If you're realistic about your expectations, the Squier Bronco Bass is an awesome value, looks good, and it gets you playing. It's not going to sound like a Stingray or a Geddy Lee Jazz Bass, but it doesn't sound bad, either – I would do a show with one without worrying about it. I have other basses, but wanted to add an inexpensive short scale to my stable, and this bass was exactly what I wanted. I may upgrade the pickup later – I may not. For now, it falls between my 34" scale and 28.6" scale basses, and it's fun to play. I'm very happy with it.Pcake
I ended up using this bass for songs where long scale can be a bit difficult. My main bass is an imported '54 P Bass copy, Alder body and maple neck/fingerboard. It had to go into a local shop for some major nut repair, and I needed something to play around with. Off the rack, it was a pretty great bass for the price. The neck is very well crafted, no sharp fret edges like some imported instruments. It's an agathis body, so the tone can be kind of bland, but compared to older Squier Broncos, it seems that all of the bridge and neck contact one piece of wood on the multi-piece construction, so sustain isn't too bad. The bad: The tuners are pretty sorry and are an oddball size, which makes replacement with good tuners very difficult. My E and A tuners rattle some, but all four do hold tune pretty well for cheap tuners. Also, the stock pickup is a six-pole ceramic Strat pickup, so it can sound…odd when bending strings. The other bad is the bridge: although it intonates pretty well, two saddles can make proper intonation difficult to achieve along with proper radius. Also, the bridge mounting pattern is almost impossible to replace with another bridge–four hole lock-down and quick-release style bridges DO work, but the bridge is mounted a little too far forward, and intonation is almost always sharp on the upper end of the fingerboard. Gotoh 201's are also very difficult to adapt to fit. But for its price point, some of these cons are easily fixed. I have a Mojotone Alnico V lipstick Strat pickup in mine with CTS 500K pots. It sounds excellent–it fools some of my buddies about how cheap it is. This bass could probably also benefit from a bar retainer near the nut. It went from an around the house beater to a mainstay for certain songs.Isher
my dad, a professional and extremely experienced bass guitarist, bought me this for christmas last year, and i love it. this is the first bass i've ever picked up and it's easy to play, is well built, has a nice feel to it, etc. i highly recommend it for beginners. i play it in my school band class and it fits in very well with the rest of the instruments. however it can fall out of tune easily and the pickup isn't the best, but ultimately it's the most perfect beginner bassout there, especially for the low price, it's high qualityace

top quality built. totally silent pickups. perfect. my fender p-bass has an american heavy ash body and maple neck. it produce a punchy highs. i was looking for pickup set that will suppress and cut some of the too-trebley sound. i installed Dimarzio P122. these are excellent pickups, but are not the flavor i wanted. too much highs and too modern in eq and sound color to my taste. since all reviews always point to the Fender Custom Shop pickups as the best upgrade for Precision, i've decided to choose the '63 pickups over the '62. they have a different eq curve. my bet was successful. the p-bass's sounds is now deeper, sweeter, pleasant growl and has a real vintage warmth that i wished to achieve.doron.mckeithen
I love these pickups! They are a great design that date more than 60 years and sound delightful. Unfortunately, with my most recent purchase of these pickups from Guitar Center one of the coils to the pair of pickups was dead. I suspect during the manufacturing process the dead coil itself was tested for continuity at the factory, but, I suspect, in process of wiring my pair of Precision pickups together the integrity of one of the coils was compromised and broken. This can happen and pickup coils lead should always be retested after the solider leads have been attached. I made the same mistake as the factory and did not check the integrity of the pickups prior to installation. Therefore I voided any return I could have made on this item. I had to buy another set which is now working great.David
I bought a Fender Ash body FSR Precision Bass (the sister to the Ash Bodied Standard Jazz Bass everyone is crazy about.) a few years ago at the Manchaester Ct. GC. the Pup's where not to be desired. so I changed them out with the Original They put these in the American Vintage series and there high end Pricision's so these pup's have to be good. and they are.

It works and the price was right. I maybe looking for another one to put on another guitar.emartine-81
I put it to my Ibanez GWB35 bass. The Roland GK-3b came with installation kit with lots of options to mount it. You can use skrews and springs, then it stays adjustaple. Or thin plastic shims and it sits firmly. To me it was relatively easy, just fallow the istructions. I use it with my GR-20 guitar synth.

Wow! Once I got these pickups installed and fired up I finally got the Sound I was craving. My Fender American Ultra Precision just did not have that classic P-bass sound, in fact is was just dull, but with these pickups it has been transformed. The combination of these pickups and my Aguilar Tonehammer 700 is killer. Thanks to Andy I would never have found the sound I needed and am inspired by. He knew exactly what I was looking for. Shipping was lightning fast not to mention the deal I received! Love it!!!!
When I ordered this product. I always trusted the Agular name and know they make quality products. When I put the pickups in it was a night and day difference. Clarity, punchy lows, miss, and highs. I would recommend these pickups to anyone who wants to improve the sound of their Fender Jazz Bass.Rick G

Well i love the sound that these pickups produce. I replaced the stock pickups from my PRS SE and the guitar is now one of my favourites. The only slight issue was the install instructions, There was nothing in the box and i found little to help me on the PRS website (or youtube). I managed to get close enough via PRS forums to understand where to start but i still ended up wiring it in wrong. In the end a bit of trial and error helped me to get it done.
Put these in a PRS SE245 and they sound amazing!cubzsuk07
