I'm not nearly a boutique or even a regular type of pedal geek, but I know enough to be dangerous. This SKB PS8 Powered Pedalboard has a whisper quiet power supply and all the velcro you need. I had a mixture of really old and brand new pedals and they played nicely together with this 'board. Like I said no extraneous noise from the PS, very nice carrying case included, pedals all stay put. Fulfilled all my expectations and then some. Great job SKB!

Absolutely perfect size! Fit everything I have without any problems whatsoever! This is the only paddleboard that perfectly fits my reverb and tremolo petals along with three other metal simultaneously next to them… I did have one strange quirky issue though… The boss pedal that I am using for some reason has a strange noise when plugged in through this power supply. I have verified through Guitar Center that the panel itself was making noise… But another boss pedal that I was using randomly did the same thing one day. all of my other paddles seem to work just fine.I was told by my guitar guy that I am pulling too much power with the boss pedal as it takes more power to use. So switching the boss pedal over to a 9 V seemed to fix the problem. So I don't know if this is a problem with the power supply or if it's just a matter of you get what you pay for. But it's really not that big of an inconvenience for the quality of craftsmanship this thing and the quality Of the Velcro that keeps it in order. I wouldn't exactly trust the case of this thing to do any really hard-core touring however… That should go without saying considering the cloth material of the case… But I just figured it needed to be said. Only 4 stars as there is a definite buzz from the power supply which is a shame as a quiet supply was one of the reasons I purchased it!! Still, a quiet replacement can be had for around £20 if it bothers you. There is clearly some variability as the first BCB-60 I received was much worse. Other than that, it's a great pedal board with flexible pedal fit options – the EHX nano pedals fit in the Boss cut-outs, and having a set of good quality patch cables is handy. Apart from the fragile-looking catches it is very robust and provides excellent protection to the contents. It's just a shame that Boss have discontinued the TU-12 range of tuners that are designed to fit the pedal board without taking up a space in the main section!Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
I was skeptical of this pedalboard but I have to say that it has surpassed my expectations. First, it’s powered and that was my first requirement. It comes with a daisy chain power supply for 8 pedals and includes several small and smaller cables, which is a big plus. It also comes with a pad to put an additional pedal. Very cool. Also, this board is super sturdy and I have been impressed with the fact that it basically has both an input on the board as well as two outputs. You could use this to run to two amps. Or you could use it as a send and return to run time based effects. At least, I think you could. Great value. Only downside is if you are running more than 8 pedals. They might not all fit on the board. I can fit 7 right now. Cheers.
This is a good board for smaller set ups. It doesn't take up a bunch of space, however there is a lot of wasted space on the board. But it comes with extra foam inserts so its totally possible to modify the layout and use other pedals besides boss. Could easily fit 20 mini pedals in this and still have the same footprint. I cut one insert and could fit 8 mini pedals were two boss pedals fit, but adding pedals will require another power supplyEvan

As a 62 year old musician I'm not into technology and the X5 did not come with the updated version i.e no Tuner etc. It took me quite some time to figure out how to download the latest version and I found it extremely difficult to try and solve the issue. The on-line instructions make it so easy and yet when I followed them to the letter I could not get it to load. Finally I managed to load it…how I still don't know! I recently broke down my kit just to simplify everything in an ampless/recording/playing/streaming setup that works incredibly well for all those things. The Plethora offers an All I Need in One Unit – almost. I've put a compressor/Boost and the Broadcaster AP in front of it, and looped everything and out of a Simplifier. Modulation sounds, specifically Delays and Reverbs are my Jam, and the Plethora delivers. Having as many as I need on tap is where we're going here, and the options with Toneprint are vast. Then we can tweak. There's also plenty of scope to experiment and look for inspiration, so in all it looks to be a great value proposition for most. I think that TC Electronic realised that most people are going to have a favourite Overdrive pedal, so the omission of any digital replica is actually welcomed from me. (Seriously – you've gotta try the Broadcaster!) It was between this and a Helix Stomp XL. In the end I figured I could live without the amp sims, and I prefer the user interface and less menu diving with the XL. They sound the same to me. There's always room for improvement somewhere. Another loop might have been good, and the looper function is perhaps lacking in full functionality for some, but it's enough to keep you ticking over. Not much to complain about though, especially when you consider that buying pretty much ANY boutique 2 or 3 switch pedal is going to cost you £300, it's a bit of a no-brainerReviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Great piece of kit with masses of options and available sounds – potential to replace a fair few pedals in my collection – plus giving me more sounds that I wouldn't use often enough to warrant buying a specific pedal. Editing sounds live as per regular stomp boxes is easy if that's your preference so all bases are covered. I like it, because, at the time that I bought this and for what I paid for it, you get a lot of space for pedals compared to other pedal boards in the same price range. Now, when you receive it, you have to put on flat surface to adjust the back legs to where you want it, and make sure you stabilize it so that you don't get wobble. However, while the back pegs are adjustable to a height, and stabilization, I'm probably going to have to use LockTite Blue to keep the nut from moving, over time. The carry bag is nice, the velcro, is adequate. But, since I have pedals, I'm going to measure to use bike pedal links to lock them down, with different sized screw due to how the brackets are made. Plenty of space for MXR wah, Fender Marine Reverb, Radial ABY, Boss Tuner and Supro Tremolo footswitch. Will add an Overdrive Boost and a Leslie pedal. Good documentation, leads and Velcro. I was looking for a compact board for just a few pedals. I was looking at the Pedaltrain Nano and the MONO Lite because I wanted something that could fit in my MONO Guitar Tick. As much as I like Pedaltrain boards, their bags are junk and nice padded bags can cost as much as the board they carry. While the Dingbat Small is a bit bigger than the PT Nano, it came with what appeared to be (and is) a nice padded soft case at a price equivalent to the MONO Lite Plus without the case. Construction is very similar to the MONO: a bent aluminum sheet with holes for routing cables. One nice feature of the Dingbat is that it is built to accommodate a wide range of Voodoo Lab power supplies. Since I happened to have a VL 4×4 on hand, that was both convenient and cost-saving for me. Since I've made such a big deal of how a padded bag is included, I'll talk a little about it. It's form-fitting but has a good bit of extra space so you can stash extra goodies on top of or beneath the board when it's in the bag. With that extra space, it has velcro straps that help keep the board from shifting while in the case. Padding is quite good. It's no flight case but it'll help protect your board when thrown in the back of a car. The outer covering isn't quite as indestructible as on my MONO cases but I expect it to hold up for some time. Voodoo Lab does sell replacement cases so if I wear this one out, at least I can get another.Alec
Just finished setting up my Dingbat Large pedalboard and overall, I am satisfied with the product. I own a couple of Pedaltrain boards as well, so I was able to compare them to the Dingbat. I am happy with both brands. The boards are well-made, sturdy and provide practical solutions for using multiple pedals. There is one major difference (in my opinion) that distinguishes them. Pedaltrain boards have slots that span the entire length of the board making it very easy to set up your cables. However, this design sometimes makes it a little more challenging securing certain pedals with velcro because there may be less surface area. On the other hand, the Voodoo Lab Dingbat has much smaller slots for setting up your cables. I found this to be a bit more challenging because many of the holes are covered up by your pedals (especially larger pedals), so I had to be more creative in figuring out where my cables should go. However, this was certainly not a "deal killer." It just required a little more thought. Also, the Dingbat has more surface area so my smaller pedals are generally more secure. Both brands offer good soft cases. But I like the fact that the Dingbat case has internal straps that provide more secure packaging for traveling with your rig. Overall: First, be aware that you are getting the smaller version of this pedalboard (the M model #) for the $99.99 price point. I misunderstood and though the board came in a kit with both the L and M side panels to customize the board yourself. I was wrong, it came with the M board and it was pre-assembled. It's a sturdy board that looks good and has a well thought out design. My Walrus Aetos power supply barely fits under the rear panel, but it works. It comes with everything you need to attached your pedals and the carrying case seems to be good quality. This is my second NuX Bumblebee pedal board and this has to be one of the best values and highest quality board and bag out there. I have no idea why the others cost so much more relative to what you get here. Solid and stable. The slats are adjustable, allowing for a variety of set up possibilities. Using the second, back level for pedals also allows you to easily put your power supply, always-on pedals (like a buffer) under that section. The sides are also designed so many power supplies and cables can be routed out thru the sides – a feature a lot of boards lack. The carry bag is excellent quality and it even comes with spare bolts, wire management clips and 3M Dual Lock tape. Either size of this pedal board is a great value.Rob

I was looking for a compact board for just a few pedals. I was looking at the Pedaltrain Nano and the MONO Lite because I wanted something that could fit in my MONO Guitar Tick. As much as I like Pedaltrain boards, their bags are junk and nice padded bags can cost as much as the board they carry. While the Dingbat Small is a bit bigger than the PT Nano, it came with what appeared to be (and is) a nice padded soft case at a price equivalent to the MONO Lite Plus without the case. Construction is very similar to the MONO: a bent aluminum sheet with holes for routing cables. One nice feature of the Dingbat is that it is built to accommodate a wide range of Voodoo Lab power supplies. Since I happened to have a VL 4×4 on hand, that was both convenient and cost-saving for me. Since I've made such a big deal of how a padded bag is included, I'll talk a little about it. It's form-fitting but has a good bit of extra space so you can stash extra goodies on top of or beneath the board when it's in the bag. With that extra space, it has velcro straps that help keep the board from shifting while in the case. Padding is quite good. It's no flight case but it'll help protect your board when thrown in the back of a car. The outer covering isn't quite as indestructible as on my MONO cases but I expect it to hold up for some time. Voodoo Lab does sell replacement cases so if I wear this one out, at least I can get another.Alec
Just finished setting up my Dingbat Large pedalboard and overall, I am satisfied with the product. I own a couple of Pedaltrain boards as well, so I was able to compare them to the Dingbat. I am happy with both brands. The boards are well-made, sturdy and provide practical solutions for using multiple pedals. There is one major difference (in my opinion) that distinguishes them. Pedaltrain boards have slots that span the entire length of the board making it very easy to set up your cables. However, this design sometimes makes it a little more challenging securing certain pedals with velcro because there may be less surface area. On the other hand, the Voodoo Lab Dingbat has much smaller slots for setting up your cables. I found this to be a bit more challenging because many of the holes are covered up by your pedals (especially larger pedals), so I had to be more creative in figuring out where my cables should go. However, this was certainly not a "deal killer." It just required a little more thought. Also, the Dingbat has more surface area so my smaller pedals are generally more secure. Both brands offer good soft cases. But I like the fact that the Dingbat case has internal straps that provide more secure packaging for traveling with your rig. Das Fender-Pedalboard hat mich zu allererst optisch angesprochen, die Metalloptik ist schon sehr chic. Die rückseitige Kabelführung ist gut gemacht, insbesondere wenn man die Länge der Patchkabel und Stromkabel selber konfektioniert hat ohne großen Aufwand ein sehr aufgeräumtes Pedalboard. Vor allem hat man generell mehr Platz und kann die Effekte flexibler positionieren im vgl. zu Boards von Pedaltrain. Die Tasche ist auch gut, gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis. Warum nur 4 Sterne: Die Antirutschfüße sind aufgesteckt und möglicherweise leicht zu verlieren. Das könnte dann rutschig werden oder den Fußboden beschädigen.

If you are like me and like to use lots of pedals, this is an excellent board at an excellent price. Very solid and easy to transport. The closing mechanism is not the best but it does the job once you get used to it. In the configuration on my picture I go from the top row to the bottom row, right to left in both cases so I can have my looper in a practical position but you could also do bottom first and top second. There is one long wire to go from the end of a row to the beginning of the next row, one medium wire to start or end the chain and enough short wires to connect all the pedals. The quality of the cables might not be the best as I had one that became faulty on another Behringer board (the PB600 with 6 pedals) but they are easily replaceable if they fail. There is also an extra power in the chain (so totally 13) so you could add an extra pedal at the top right or a cry baby on the floor outside.michel_decary

The magic number is 8 pedals. 5 across the bottom, 3 on top sideways. If you do 5 right side up on top, you're likely over the edge on both rows. Also, keep in mind in mind where your inputs and power jacks are on your pedals. The holes are place in a convenient mid section and top side which helps keep things neatly tucked under. I bought this pedal board as an alternative to Gator's aluminum pedal boards to piece together a basic board for my acoustic guitar effects and preamp. I chose this over the Gator offerings (which I also own, both the small and large size for my bass and guitar boards, respectively) because 1) the attractive price and 2) it's exactly the size I needed for my pedals. I gave the board four stars instead of five primarily because I have experience with the similar and slightly more upscale Gator boards. The carrying bag is identical in configuration to the Gator bags, but it feels a little flimsier. That's not to say that it isn't perfectly functional and able to survive the relatively gentle treatment I will give it. This board also does not have the power supply mounting bracket the Gator boards have, but that does not bother me in this instance because I am using a simple daisy chain. That said, it has enough room to mount one under it if you don't mind doing some drilling. For the positives, it's a solid, sturdy, lightweight board and the cable routing holes are practically placed for my needs. I mounted my pedals with both Velrco and zip ties (it sounds overkill, but in my experience necessary) and the holes also work well for that. It came with an ample supply of Velcro, too.
