1. Mesa/boogie Rosette 300 / One:ten Acoustic Combo
Product Details:
The rosette 300 one ten acoustic combo offers 300 watts of portable power, 2 channels and a professional-grade feature set for home, studio or stage. few can deny the intrinsic beauty of the acoustic guitar. the visual beauty of the tonewoods, the curvaceous shapes and elegant lines of body styles, and the delicate artwork of inlay all coalesce in harmonious interplay with tensioned strings to produce musical promise. unlike electric guitar amplifiers that offer myriad enhancements and often complete re-voicings, the acoustic instrument has all the complex harmonic content it could ever need, on-board. all that is required is the accurate reproduction of that beauty, while staying true to the concept of do no harm. and when it comes to the electronic and mechanical components and design needed to fulfill that order, it's easier said than done. it requires a commitment to using the absolute best components and circuit design dedicated to uncompromising accuracy, purity of sound and the lowest possible extraneous noise. the rosette line is a dedicated acoustic instrument platform designed not just for acoustic guitars, but also for mandolin, ukulele, violin/fiddle, dulcimer, cello, upright bass and other uniquely acoustic instruments.

Reviews:
I bought this as a second acoustic guitar amp. I've been using an AER compact 60 for many years, a high end German made acoustic amp with great features. I wanted a second amp to create a live stereo field for the guitar. i was thinking of getting a second AER for this purpose but decided to try the Rosette. I've always been tempted to have an amp by Mesa Engineering. Well, I'm really impressed with this amp. As most reviews mention, it takes awhile to dial in what you like but when you get there, it's really terrific. The built in effects are very nice – three different reverbs to begin with (one of them blends in chorus) and you have a lot of flexibility over controlling the effects parameters – rate, depth, etc. I have zero complaints about this amp. Unlike the AER the knobs are easy to see and read. I find no need for a preamp, though I have a Grace Design acoustic preamp. (I use that with the AER.) I'm having a lot of fun playing with the Rosette. To boot, there are three studio quality DI outputs, one that sends the signal post-effects, which is very useful. The engineers literally thought of everything on this amp. It's pricey, but with Sweetwater's easy payment plan (I'm doing six payments on this one) it's pretty painless. The guitar shown in the attached image was designed by Andy Manson, who has designed and built guitars for John Paul Jones, Ian Anderson, Martin Barre and others. Andy designed this model for Ian Anderson. It is now built under contract by Brook Guitars in England. We custom designed mine with a cutaway, making it the first of it's kind. I also have a custom made acoustic built by Andy Manson himself. With acoustic guitars of this quality, you want the very best in amplification. I think I may have found it with this Mesa Rosette 2X8.
I have a number of well known brands of acoustic amps over the years. This one stands above them all easily. I ordered the 10 inch because I like the depth of sound it offers. It accents the percussive aspects of the acoustic better in my opinion. Used this amp with a number of experienced musicians and they honestly were inspecting the amp because of it's natural sound in the room. It compete with anything Asus or Fishman puts out. In my opinion, it excels above them in many ways. Mesa really thought this out when they set it up. You kind of need to know how to dial in a good sound on an amp to use it. You need to know how to EQ something before you tackle this little beast or you will possibly be disappointed. I'm just being honest. If you don't understand sound and how to mix your instrument, it may not be the amp for you, but, if you do… Jump on it. It's worth every dime. The 10 inch version is not the full 300 watts. It is 150 until you add an extension cab, but I have not been wishing for more at any time or venue with it. It has a stand that allows it to be a stage monitor for your sound and offers an EXTREMELY good DI system to send your audio to the sound engineer with plenty of send options for the engineer. My sound engineer loves this amp for front of house audio and mixing. Mesa has not released an extension cab for this yet, but I honestly don't know that I will ever be in need of it. This thing gets plenty loud for any needs I have. I have been thoroughly impressed with this amp. If you know how to dial in sound and aren't afraid of the EQ of this amp, I say go for it. You will not be dissapointed.Steve H
Without a doubt, this is the Best Acoustic amp, I have ever played through.. I play a Taylor K14ce, and no acoustic amp that I have used has ever duplicated it's true tone .. The only one that came close was a 2006 Genz Benz Shenandoah, with a 12" speaker… ( which I had sold) So I bought a new Genz Benz in 2020… terrible.. sent it back… But the Mesa Boogie Rossete, is a keep, And it's FANTASTIC for Vocals… Now I don't have to lug my Mackie P.A. system for my solo gigs… if your on the fence … Buy it you won't regret it…Lee

Overall: I’ve owned this amp for about a year and a half now. I run my Taylor 814 CE DLX through it as well as my vocals. It is the clearest sounding amp I have ever used. I have been leading worship in several places for many years. As I said I use the amp as a personal monitor. Both vocals and guitar then out to the house pa. I own 2 other acoustic amps (name brand) and quite frankly there is no comparison. The Genzler is a superior product. Thanks Jeff for your amazing amplifier.GregGreg
I'm really impressed with the versatility of this amp. Found out you can blend inputs from 4 sources into the two channels. I just love the tone and the sound. Very lightweight compared to other acoustic amps I have. Much more bass without sounding muddy. Digital effects are top notch. Three direct outputs from various points in the signal chain for recording. Although I give it a hearty recommendation, I do wish it came with a cover.safeman007
I would say it was the best, However, I believe that goes to the Genzler pro. I bought the mini. It is simply amazing. Since I also sing, The mini doesn’t offer much for EQ. If your just playing guitar, look no further. The mini would most likely be all you would ever need. The Pro offers a better EQ plus each channel has both XLR and line inputs. I’m going to be trading up to the Genzler Pro and also investing in the extension cab. Even though the price is up there, it’s worth every penny. Which is why I’m confident in investing even more to get the most out my acoustic rig. I play a Martin Streetmaster D-15m with K&K pure mini passive pickup. My guitar sounds absolutely incredible. I played for two hours straight. It literally makes you sound like you are performing on a concert stage. Sonic perfection. Maybe not AS loud as a concert, But definitely as Good! Buy it. You will thank me later…Steve Betts
3. Acoustic A15v 15w 1×6.5 Acoustic Combo Amp

Reviews:
I originally bought the A20, the chorus went function went bad. I was supposed to get a replacement A20, but I was told the store delivery truck broke down. The demo A20 was pretty beat up, so I went for the A15 since they had it in stock. Less wattage, smaller speaker, no reverb, and no output with adjustable level.. The A15 cost less, but I would have rather had a replacement A20. That said, it's not a bad amp. I will wait before I ever recommend to a friend, based on my experience with the A20.None
O.K. Boys and Girls, I'll get right to the point. If you look at the input jacks on this combo amp, you'll see that the only choice for input #2, is a 1/4" plug. That means that, unless you use a converter to go from XLR to 1/4", you can't use a normal (low impedance) mic on input #2. Input #2 is the one with the EQ section on it. So, if you want to EQ vocals with this unit, you're out of luck with the on board EQ, unless you buy an external XLR to 1/4" convertor cable or plug. Then look at the #1, XLR input. There is no EQ on that channel. You plug your mic into this input and hope for the best. Without EQ you can't tailor the sound from your mic, with this amplifier's EQ. You are stuck with whatever your mic produces, and the tonal characteristics of your voice. So, if you need to roll off some highs, or accentuate them, you can't do it on this unit with just the XLR input on this amp. You'd have to process your vocals externally to this amp, them bring them into the XLR input on this amp. It's either that, or you'd have to get an XLR to 1/4" convertor and use the input #2. Other than that, Acoustic does a great job with these all-in-one acoustic style amps. I've used one for years. They are very quick to setup, have reasonable power for small rooms, and have good tone. I'd recommend these, especially for the price. Just be aware that the limitations on this particular unit, at least partially lies in the fact that they did not put a dual use XLR/1/4" jack on channel two. The old Acoustic AG30 had dual use jacks on both channels. What were they thinking when they designed this unit: no EQ for vocals? What the heck….?TruthMan

Solid built Excellent sound Very portablePat
Overall: I was looking for a smaller Acoustic Amp that reflected a "true" acoustic sound, not processed or too quaky.. Sure you can find some really good tone from Boss/Loudbox, etc but they just weren't for me. Then you look at some higher end ones that are $1.3k+ like Mesa Rosette, AER, Acus, etc and they are all super strong contenders, but pay a hefty premium! Then I stumbled on the Genzler Accoustic Array line, listened to some test/reviews of the Genzler and was instantly drawn in. Really sounded good when used w/ guitars w/decent pick ups in them. Thought the effects sounded good and not overpowering. Well it arrived in perfect condition and hasn't disappointed! Quality is spot on and it works/sounds great with my Takamine's, Gibson, PRS, Taylors, etc! It really is a fantastic amp for the value, sits right in between the other options in this 50-120amp range!Vinny

've been playing blues and jazz gigs for over 20 years. This is a well rounded addition to my existing PA and stack when needed. The stand alone feature for smaller gigs was an attractor, but I purchased it as a practice amp for my home studio. After playing with it I used it on a small coffee shop gig and it excelled.Jazzman
In searching for an Acoustic Amp my three criteria were that it be at least 30 Watts, have two separate inputs/controls, and stay in my budget. I narrowed down my list to the Acoustic A40 and Fishman Loudbox Mini. Though I was drawn to the Loudbox Mini's smaller size I chose the Acoustic A40 as the price was about $60 less and it had the bonus of a headphone jack. In the end very happy with my choice. The amp does not have the annoying buzz that so many amps seem to have when you are not playing. When you are playing the sound is deep and definitely has the power to fill the room. The built in effects panel offers a wide range of options and allows you to save personalized settings. I also like the combo XLR / 1/4"" jacks. Think Guitar Center has done well with this private label amp. It sounds awesome, is built solid, flexible, and well worth the reasonable price tag.Matt
I lead worship at our church and play several outdoor events every year. For years I have used my Crate CA125 amp and it has served me well, but I could never get a really nice sound out of it and had to play through an old DOD Acoustec pedal to get a sound that was close to what I wanted. Out of curiousity I plugged into the Acoustic A40 at Guitar Center, and wow! The tone was amazing. Wonderful bass response and really nice, clear highs. I like the simple interface, an easy to manipulate 3-band EQ with a sweepable mid. I like the less is more approach that they've taken with this amp – the bottom line is it's very easy to get a nice sound. The preset effects are nice, I really like the reverb effects and the chorus is nice too. The amp also has phaser, delay, and flanger, but I wouldn't have much use for those unless I was recording lead guitar lines for a backing track or something like that. The Bluetooth is great! The 1/8" aux input jack on the front is very useful also. There is no individual volume control for these two, you just control your volume on the device you're using and it sounds very clean with a wide volume range. The amp comes with 20 preset effects patches, most of which are pretty nice (but not #19, oh it's horrible). There are also 20 channels available for user presets. What's less than stellar? Editing effects. Very unintuitive and at times frustrating, and the manual isn't much help. It took me some time and trial & error to get things dialed in how I wanted. I do like that I can take an existing effects setting, add other effects to taste, and then save it as a user preset complete with a programmable name of my choice, pretty cool. When you have an effect turned on you get it on both channels, no choice there but with reverb and a little chorus it works very well for guitar and vocals. If you need more flexibility you could step up and get the A1000, but for a player like me this amp has all I need. 2 thumbs up.Rob

Reviews:
Having recently gotten back to playing guitar and having my first electric with the need of an affordable amp, this was a great choice. I love the sound and really don't have to turn up the volume as it is plenty clear at a lower level. I like the features of the lead and rhythm options and you can adjust the sound quality in many ways. My only wish is a reverb and delay feature maybe, of course, this is a smaller amp and does exactly what it is described to do. For the price, I am truly enjoying this amp. Lightweight and easy to move around, but solid when sitting on the floor.Scooter
Got the amp earlier than expected. Tried it the first day, didn't work because voltage is not compatible. it is 120V. Voltage where i live in is 220V. My mistake for not checking. Good thing there is a fuse in the amp and available voltage converter nearby. Sound is ok but not great. I play guitar casually just for passing time so I'm happy with my purchase.nocirobe-scfmx3gma
I have the 120 watt acustic lead amp which I love. I bought the 10 watt for my grandson and I was blown away at how good and big this amp sounds. The tone is very good for a amp this size. It has lots of volume and sounds great. I will be ordering another one for when I travel and do not want to take my big one. My grandson is to young to relize how good this amp is but it will be nice as he grows and learns to play and he will not out grow this.Ken

Below are two reviews out of five that mentioned hiss from the amp. Unfortunately, I ignored the warnings. They are correct. I received the amp today and before plugging in and with all pots cranked left (off) as they are right out of the box, I powered up to hear a very audible hiss. Not good. This is not a 60 cycle hum and has nothing to do with bad power or ground loops. It is amp hiss which cannot be rectified. I bought the amp to place in front of my couch pointing at me to practice at low volumes with effects. My ears are bothered by the constant unclean sound at these low volumes. If the amp had a mic on it for stage work, the hiss would definitely be heard when not playing and possibly within the music. I am disappointed at myself for not taking those reports seriously. I did so because I trusted the brand and because the design of the amp seemed perfect for my needs. The amp otherwise is really sweet. The effects are usable and the EQ is very sensitive with fantastic range. It also delivers brilliant highs and soothing warm low end. It is a powerful 20 watts and my baritone ukulele sounds wonderful through it. But the hiss … it never stops. It is never clean even with the volume off. I really wanted to keep this amp, but I will be returning it and looking towards a Roland or Fishman both offering higher wattages which I do not need, not to mention the much higher price points. The experience is a bummer but I have faith in MF's return policy and honest service.Scottie
I was looking for a small amp with some bells & whistles to use for all sorts of applications, but not spend a bundle. This model fit the bill perfectly. Unfortunatley all it's great features can't out-weigh the "hiss" sound all the other reviewers are complaining about. I took a chance and ordered an open box model which was noisy just like all the other reviews mentioned. MF sent me a brand new one and it was just as noisy. I am now awaiting a third amp hoping it's from a different batch. I can't believe that Acoustic would allow an entire crop of amps circulate with such poor sound quality. Usually their products are pretty decent. I'm crossing my fingers for this last attempt at a cool little amp.dlspinkid
I have owned the Acoustic A20 for a few weeks. I am a long time player/musician. This amp is pretty good as a bedroom shed amp for acoustics with pickups. You can get a clear sound with enhancements, like more bass or reverb. Retains the "acousticy" quality way better than some electric guitar amp. I have tried it with Takamine classical & steel string, Eastman archtop & flattop. The amp provides a pretty good sound for all. Not enough power for an actual gig. I was not expecting that, so OK. No good for an electric archtop; too distorted. Biggest bummer for me: no gain setting/preamp. To get a decent volume from some guitars, turn this amp up to "10". Or, use an external preamp. Also, the feedback elimination works OK, two knobs. But, even with "level" on "0", the other knob still has a big effect on the sound. Just saying. Poor design there. Reverb is cheesy but better than nothing. Chorus same; adds feedback. Borderline useless. I like the amp for the $$; but it is not some pro gear. Good for light home practice use only.reviewer
