Great guitar that provides the sound of a les paul with much greater comfort. it has a slimmer body with a contour on the back. very fun to play. great 90s usa-made quality from gibson. this is a one-owner instrument, but it has quite a bit of wear. no abuse or damage or repairs. just honest playwear. take a close look at pics. includes original gibson usa tkl gigbag. zipper pull has popped off, but it still zips up well with the slide of a finger. for some reason the gibson folk want to overpay for bolt-ons like the invader and challenger when these beauties blow them out of the water. i expect people to eventually get wise, but until they do you should grab this paul ii, which is currently at the lowest price on reverb.

Up for sale is my 80 s shredder gibson. was refinished at some point in its life ( use to be all black like the back of the body which is original still ). the bridge pickup is a gibson doubletap humbucker ( x2 separate lead braided wires from the humbucker which is rare ) and x2 1991 dimarzio stacked ( humbucker ) single coil sized middle and neck pickups. the gold gibson headstock logo had fallen off but has since been glued on. trem arm and case included! a seriously cool 80 s hair metal era guitar!

The following specs were carefully collected and recorded by a skilled technician. for a more detailed description and questions regarding sound, feel, or cosmetic condition, please call to speak to one of our experts. summary finish: original. there are two filled holes near the toggle switch from previously installed mini-switches. body material: maple top material: maple body details: semi-hollow body with laminated maple back, top, and sides. the body has been converted to a stoptail. there are two non-original filled holes near the toggle switch, and a new pickup cavity was cut for the middle pickup. neck material: mahogany neck profile: "c" profile neck thickness (in): .79" (1st fret), .98" (12th fret) fingerboard radius: 10.00" nut width: 1-9/16" scale length: 24 3/4" neck details: set-in three piece mahogany neck with bound rosewood fretboard, split parallelogram inlays, volute, and headstock truss rod adjustment. there are open screw holes visible on the back of the headstock from the original tuners. electronics: the guitar has been fully rewired for mono operation, with three gibson patent decal humbuckers, 3-way toggle switch, neck and bridge volume/tone controls, and independent middle pickup volume control. the varitone control and inductor have not been included. the pots do not have visible date codes. pickup measurements: 7.3k (neck), 7.1k (middle), 7.4k (bridge) hardware: the tuners have been replaced with grovers. a stoptail bar was added, and the original trapeze tailpiece is not included. the pickguard has been cut to fit three pickups. weight: 8 lbs 4 oz cosmetic condition: the guitar shows expected cosmetic wear for its age, with light checking, small dings and scratches, and other mild blemishes present on the glossy finish. there are two filled holes on the front of the body from a previous wiring scheme, and the back has mild buckle rash. the headstock face has light finish hazing, and the neck has a few mild patches of finish wear along the sides. there are open screw holes on the back of the headstock from the original kluson tuners, as well as on the bottom of the body from the original trapeze tailpiece. modifications/repairs: -the body has been converted to a stopbar-a middle pickup route has been added-the guitar has been fully rewired-the tuners have been replaced. tech notes: the guitar plays well with low action and optimal neck relief, and is currently set up with 10s. the truss rod is adjustable, and the original frets are wide and low with some notable divots up to the fifth fret. the serial number and construction appointments date the guitar to 1970-1972. case details: original hardshell case

1980 gibson s1 with new repro neck. i purchased this in 1999 from dr. woods of one arm bandit, it was a stage guitar with modded wiring and a strat scale epi neck on it. the neck is an exact repro in carefully selected kiln dried and moisture stabilized canadian maple in dimensions of the marauder and s1 2 piece necks, except i added paua abalone fret dots. it has a modern dual action stew mac hot rod truss rod which should be removable after drilling out a pine insert and grover metal tulip tuners. in 1999 i reshaped the body for better neck access and to match the pickguard. the body is finished with quality 2k automotive poly and the neck is nitro instrument lacquer. the body is a beautiful honduras mahogany, gibson did a nice job with the wood selection on this example. i rewired it to be more useful and less confusing than the chickenhead switch and 2 way toggle. it has 3 separate switches for pickup selection, a phase switch for the bridge a tone and volume control, simple but all the combinations of fa
