Paired with an Orange head this thing rocksWcarring1
The Orange PPC Cabs are simply the best cabs available great low end with a nice sweet deliverance of the mids and highs. I don't play without it…Peter
I recently got this cab to go with my Krank Rev Jr, and i have to say this cab is amazing. It takes the characteristics of my Krank, and makes them sound 10 times better. The fact that it comes in White and black, as well as the classic Orange makes it a seamless addition to anyoneۡs rig. Itۡs a little smaller than most 412 cabs, so itۡs a touring bands dream. It looks and sounds amazing and is and amazing improvement to any guitarists rig.xMattx

Reviews:
I used this cab with many different heads but mainly bought it to match my Blackstar HT-100 head. Bought this from musicians friend a couple years back. Looking back I wouldn't buy this again. At first glance its a good cab. Now that I have some use into it, i see it is made out of particle board not plywood. I was able to screw one of the wheels i bought right through the wood when i was just trying to mark it to see where to cut the excess off…lol. The speakers that come stalk in this are Celetion Seventy 80s… they are decent but for for the money you can buy an Avatar custom cabinet for 629… 30$ more and get it loaded with Vintage 30s. Only buy this cab if you are specifically wanting a matching cabinet. there is better options in the same price range out there.Steve
Tough to beat for the money, seems sturdy, sounds great! Running my 2 deluxe reverb heads in stereo through the 8ohm inputs and I’m very happy with the tone. 10/10 would recommendJoel
Overall: And to think I almost bought a marshall 4×12 cab. Instead i decided to go with blackstar from zZsounds. Glad I did! Turning my master volume to 1/3 I can feel the sound in my chest. Im using the blackstar ht stage 100 head. I have had it hooked to a marshall 1960B cab. It didnt sound near as good as it does now. Using the blackstar cab with the higher wattage celestions made all the difference in the sound and loudness of the amp. A very noticeable difference. The marshall cabs didnt resonate as well, and couldnt handle near the volume on thos amp head. The marshall cabs sounded a bit muddy on the low end at high volume levels. The blackstar cabs are great! And worth every penny above the marshall cabs!Clell

For between 500-700 bucks, you get authentic Brit speakers, baltic birch shell and a selectable impedance switch. Its sound is incredible and full and other companies try to imitate it for much more money. The JCM 900 series is the best you can get and the last of the Marshall cabinets to feature the older Celestions before they sold to a Chinese firm and the production quality changed a little bit. It comes loaded with 75 watt speakers and the cabinet itself if in good shape, is literally compatible with any head you hook it up to. Buy one, become one with it.ivey.2013
I purchased this jcm 1960a cabinet along with the JVM head. Best equipment I’ve ever owned. I was shipped as promised and arrived on time as well, in perfect condition. If you wanna take your playing to the next level you have to invest in some professional grade equipment. This has taken my sound to that next level. Marshall equipment paired with my Gibson Les Paul standard and a few pedals. Thank you America music supply for making this so easy with you many payment plan options. Brian Demers

Absolutely beautiful! Original shipping box from 1979! Like going back nearly 40 years! Cabinet is in pristine condition. The B cab has more of a bass sound and sounds better to me than the A. I have the 300w 1960 A and B cabs…my B cab is the 1960BV and I love the vintage sound although mine are from the 90's. I love the cabinet but my wife would surely kill me for spending that much! It's beautiful…she didn't know about the other cabs, maybe…jefcosne0
There are far better cabs out there for less money. If you have to have the Marshall name on the front, I guess this will do. The way to buy the 1960a and 1960b is USED. I've had a few of these and while good, see my comment about there being better cabs for the money. It's a cab. Speakers and an input jack. Could be better for the price. Plastic corners, plastic handles, super tiny internal wiring. For $100 or so less, you can buy a Splawn which is constructed light years better (no particleboard backing!) and the wiring is soldered. All steel hardware! For an even better value, look at WhiteBox, Avatar. The Randall XL series cabs are nicely made to!!

If you want a classic rock and roll sounding cab this is the one for you. It's perfect for 70's rock, hard rock. Looks beautiful aswel. And comes with wheels.
The straight cab completed my full stack. I definitely would recommend the angled cab first or if buying only one 4×12. This thing roars! I am using a Marshall 205h head with it and the tones are unbelievable. Of course this setup is meant to be driven and played at high levels, but you can still get decent tones at practice levels. I use an Tube Screamer with it at lower volumes which I think helps. Lastly, don't listen to the naysayers! It is true that a full stack is" unnecessary" but it's a 10 on the cool meter so go for it! It might be a little impractical but you'll smile every time you look at it!Jetblast
I bought this cabinet as an alternative to my 1960A with G12T-75 speakers. My primary gigging amp is a RockittRetro '68 Marshall 1987 plexi clone. The AX cabinet gives me a much warmer, vintage tone. The Greenback speakers are very musical. I've used it live twice now and it's my new #1. Very happy with this cabinet.none

I ordered this cab and it came super fast. Right out of the box it sounds great, I play a Hughes & Kettner Grandmeister through it and all the sounds produced are absolutely fantastic. Crystal clear cleans, really solid breakup in the overdriven sound and it handles absurd amounts of gain like a champ. For the price point it is a really solid cab and I really like the vintage look. 4 stars because I wish it had castersChris
Sounds great with the origin 50 head only wish it had a more durable covering!Jim
I’m pairing this with my dsl head and it sounds great! Would buy againJosh
8. Friedman White Tolex Vintage 4×12 Guitar Speaker Cab White Tolex
Product Details:
The friedman vintage 4×12 is a 4×12", closed-back speaker cabinet utilizes tongue and groove baltic birch construction to deliver the bass, mid response and great sound you would expect from a friedman cab. the white/ivory tolex and vintage salt and pepper grille cloth is reminiscent of the legendary british amps of yesteryear. – at the heart of the cab are two 16 ohm, celestion g12m-25 greenback speakers placed strategically in the top two speaker slots of the cabinet. the g12m greenback has evolved over the decades but still retains its essential sought-after tone. this model is voiced with additional broad mid-range attack and restrained top-end, giving a forward, punchy attitude to chords and a searing lead tone without fizz: ideal for friedman's high-powered rock heads. it's an ideal speaker to bring drive and definition to modern high-gain amps. – loaded in the two bottom slots are two celestion vintage 30 speakers. the v30's sound has been captured on thousands of recordings from a diverse range of notable players. it features enormously detailed and complex overtones, a warm low-end, a famously rich vocal mid-range and a beautifully detailed top-end. this – speakers: 2×12" celestion greenback (top); 2×12" celestion vintage 30 (bottom)impedance: 16 ohm – closed-back design – muli-ply baltic birch construction – dimensions: 30" x 14" x 30"weight: 86 lb. – handwired in the usa

This is an excellent cab. Great build and the speaker combination is awesome. I like mixing greenbacks and creambacks with vintage 30s so this cab was a natural choice. The speakers are wired up solidly. I get what I would say is a very "full" sound. My only complaint…casters would be handy. I also wouldn't mind corner caps. Both are relatively small and do not change the performance of the cab. Overall, I'm very satisfied and I plan to buy another in the future.Michael
Overall: I purchased this cab to give me more tonal options, Generally I play Mesa cabs. The Friedman 4×12 was a great decision… it sounds just as I hoped. Great low end and midrange and a silky treble response.
Have to say it take a little while to break-in this cab, but after about 5-10 hours at volume, it sounds so much better! It's the best cab hands down for my Friedman Brown Eye head. I tried similar cabs with same speaker setup and still couldn't get the tone from other 4×12's as I did with the Friedman 4×12. My demo room was Nashville's GC Platnium room against some of the best new and vintage cabs. Also between my other 3 stacks, the Friedman is THE most solid on the ground, like a rock!! Best 4×12 cab for any "Marshall" style amp especially with Friedman amps. They just melt together perfect. Dave Friedman as hit a home-run on his amps and cab matching.Taylor514

I have mine paired with the PRS Mark Tremonti-15. The orange cab handles the crispy cleans and heavy gain of it wonderfully. Highly recommend.Johnaton Laureano
Overall: When I originally began looking for a specific sound for myself after years of playing with mesas and Marshalls etc, orange was probably six on my list, and mostly because of their advertisements being geared toward a classic sort of tone and build, and certainly because of their history thus. However, I decided to try one out with my setup and never ever looked back. The tone is probably the sweetest when I'm using solid state and when I amp switch and head over to the tube head I get no extra noise, no dropouts, no buzzing and best of all, I get total amp control. I lose none of my tone either way, and the compression cloth that the grille is made from almost mixes and filters perfectly! This cab is loud, clear, and excellent for all types of music. I play jazz and heavy metal, so this cab gets put through it's paces either way. The thing straight up kicks assSteve
I bought this to go with my Orange Rockerverb 100 MKII. I have also used with with my Marshall Silver Jubilee 2555x and Peavey JSX. Regardless of what head is plugged in, this cabinet really shines. It has good top end with thundering bass that moves air but doesn’t muddy the tone. The clarity of the highs and mids are articulated very well with this cab and help any amp sit well in the mix both live and in the studio. I absolutely love this cabinet and wish I had bought one years ago. It really makes the true tone of your amp and guitar shine without compressing or muddying the tone like many other cabs do.Victor

11. Mesa Boogie 4×12 Rectifier Standard Straight Cabinet – Black
Product Details:
The mesa boogie standard rectifier 4×12 is the "oversized" 4×12 by which other quad-box cabinets are judged. it was designed to be the perfect companion to the high gain revolution created by the dual and triple rectifiers , providing thundering low-end punch and resonance which is perfectly tuned with the smooth, tailored midrange and articulate, clear high-end. this is our most popular 4×12 cabinet and an icon in heavy music, used on more hit recordings than we could list here. massive sound! some players prefer the straight-style cabinets with all speakers attached to a one-piece baffle and all facing the same direction, effectively 'coupled' for maximum punch and frontal projection. other players prefer slant-style recto 4×12 cabinets, which offers a 'monitor' effect due to the top speakers sloping up toward your ears. this can be a benefit when playing live. regardless of slant or straight, if you are playing a recto 4×12, your tone has authority, clarity and detail that only mesa traditional or standard 4×12 rectifier cabinets deliver. all mesa enclosures are made using the finest void-free, marine grade baltic birch. super strong rabbet corners are glued and nailed. speaker baffles are fitted with superior dado joint construction and braced. grilles are wrapped around a separate grille board, not the baffle board. grille material is made of strong twisted jute dipped in a special coating that filters top end for a sweeter response.

This has the Same great sound of Mesa's Larger Cabinets but at only around 30lbs. This Cab is so much easier to haul to gigs Paired with one of Mesa's mini heads, either the Recto-verb 25, or Mini 25 Rectifier, The sound is absolutely amazing This little cab is Perfect for those small to medium venues or even the larger stages with everything dialed into the soundboard. It also looks and sounds great in any size room or practice space. LOVE THIS Cabinet! Celestion Vintage 30 translates into warm amazing tone cant wait to get the bass cab for it to create the perfect mini stack. 😉4long.live.rock
As with all Mesa Boogie products the quality is unmatched & the tones are amazing! Extremely well built, with tour grade handles & a punchy midrange bark! Works well with all amp types!anthonpollic_0
Superb build quality and great tone. This beast of a cab is earthquake-proof and capable of creating one! Note that specs should mention MESA includes 4 very heavy duty easily removeable castors.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

This cabinet is slightly smaller than the ppc412, however the sound it can produce is very clear and full. It doesn't have the celestion vintage 30's but I wouldn't hesitate to run these voice of the world speakers in any performance. The cabinet is very solid and good looking and I don't foresee any reason I would ever need to replace it. I am actually considering a second cabinet to make full stack.Nate
An awesome cab, very well made and transport friendly for a 412, 240Watt cabinet. I was pairing the cab w/ my CR120H. I played many hours hoping to break in or loosen up the speakers a bit. For me the harshness and midrange was just too distinguished or prominent. I could compensate by lowering the guitars and amp's tone controls halfway but lost to much on the high and low end of the guitar. I kept switching between an 8Ohm 410 Marshall cab (140watts) to the 16Ohm Orange cab. The Marshall 8Ohm cab was louder, richer and all frequencies were much more favorable to the ear w/ the same settings on the head. For me a lower wattage cab may have been the answer (120-200Watt)so they could be pushed at a lower volume, tube or solid state. I returned the CR pro 412. G.C. was very helpful ordering and returning my purchase.Rooney
very nice sound i believe this is their only line not made in england. however guitar ceneter sent me a dented up beat up cabinet that the manager refused to replace wich was a bummer. 6 out of the 8 corners came smashed in…arthur j

Overall: Sounds great! Has a lot of low end and is perfect with the RG1003 head. I've been using it playing shows for the past 6 months and it's never failed me. The only thing that sucks if that it is pretty heavy but the casters that come with it work amazing, It showed up with a little scuff on the side but nothing I was too worried about.Andrew
I plugged this cab into my 1976 Kustom Amp. All I can say is this thing ROCKS, can't believe the clear sounds, not to mention when I kick on the Dimebag Distortion LOOK OUT this Randall cab rocks harder than my Marshall cab, I'll be buying another one and a Randall Head. As always thank you AMS. for perfect service.BADD67
Well, besides the price being amazing…this thing looks cool and sounds awesome. Very pleased with this purchase, I'll probably buy another and stack these monsters.

Tight punchy sound Highly RecommendedNone
I currently have Friedman, Bogner, and Mesa Cabinets along with this Soldano 4×12. This is as fine as quality a cabinet as they come. Equal to or above the quality/build as any of the above mentioned cabs. This one comes with 4 Made In England Celestion Vintage-30’s and they sound sublime. Tight and punchy mids cranked w/ High Gain through a Humbucker are something that has to be heard in person to appreciate. Also, the V-30’s do react amazingly clear and articulate through single coils and clean. This is a studio quality cabinet that’s worth every penny. If you’re serious about tone, don’t wait to grab this one. Plus, one of the coolest looking logo/fonts out there. It wails
It's a great cabinet I really like itanthony2231

I was surprised at the cabinets once out of the boxes they are super durable very nice quality.
So I used to have the angled version of this cabinet and I used to run it with an mg100 Marshall head I think that was my biggest mistake because the omage didn't match the cabinet and at high volumes it wasn't reaching its full potential. so I ended up selling the cabinet but with regret I sold it anyways since then I bought a few Marshall tube amps and bought the straight version of this cabinet to match up with them and it makes a whole world of a difference. honestly I really wish I still had the angled cabinet but you live you learn lol love the cabinet. g12e80 speakers they are very doable but might have to go for those g12 t 75 speakers later. anyways this is a good start for it great cab hope to have it for years to comeR.c. Tovar
This cabinet is just what I was looking for sounds awesome, very loud and pushes a lot of air..

I am really enjoying my Marshall cabinet In fact I have a full stack. Thank you.jador_5746
Sound: This is the best sounding Marshall cabinet out there bar none. Quality: Mine came with a one inch gash on the back side. Sending it back for a replacement. I think Marshall's QC needs improvement. The DSL head I purchased previously had the cord from the reverb tank hanging out the front. Value: It's a little pricey, but the sound is worth it. Manufacturer Support: Haven't had to use them, but I'm sure Marshall stands my their products.
The vintage speakers in this 4×12 cabinet rock! Anywhere from blues to head banging Metal this cabinet will not disappoint! You can’t go wrong with Marshall! Thanks to American Musical Supplies 0% interest payment plan makes this hard rocking tone making machine very affordable!Dave

Overall: Positives – This cabinet looks amazing, is well built, sounds amazing at low volumes/perfect for studio recordings, and is easy to work/modify (added wheels and changed speaker wiring to series parallel).Negatives – Speakers are s***. If you use a head over 100 watt the speakers will break up in a real nasty mid range way. I rewired the speaker series and that helped eek out a bit more volume and mid range but otherwise it sounds awful at higher volume if you can get there. Overall – While I love the cosmetics of it, for my musical needs I would have bought a shell cabinet and filled it with good speakers. IF…you want a really amazing warm mid range studio or recording cabinet that breaks up beautifully at low volume then run to buy this because the price is right.
I’ve been debating upgrading to my first half stack for quite some time now and I finally caved. Not only is this cab extremely eye catching with the iconic Marshall logo, but the grill has a very vintage vibe as well and it makes for great decoration when I’m not playing through it lol. It’s very responsive to your attack, it sounds great at high and low levels, and for only $400 you can’t go wrong with this one.Jakebudd
Has a nice roar, and very loud. great tone. I wish the Marshall logo was larger though. sounds great as a full stack, it's not too heavy either.
