Reviews:
I have a Rumble 1 x 15 cabinet. I wanted to upgrade from the Eminence-Made for Fender speaker. At the advise of an Eminence Tech I purchased the CB158. It sounds great! Clear deep tones I plan on buying a second Rumble 1 x 15 cabinet and I'll upgrade that one also! The sale price made it a great value!Chuck
You can experience quite a bit of satisfaction when a product you paid a fair amount of money for just plain works. And boy does this speaker work. The solid bass tones that come out of this baby has brought my 80s something Fender Bassman Compact back to life. I was happy all the bolt holes lined up with the pre drilled holes of the amp. The only little drawback is that it has made my amp heavier. Not a bad trade off for the quality sound that this speaker delivers.Darren
I refurbished an Ampeg 115hp bass cabinet and installed a CB158 15". The speaker provides tremendous frequency response, tight solid bottom end with crisp clean highs. I no longer use the horn in the cabinet…there is no need. I highly recommend this speaker to get the most out of a bass rig. It also pairs very well with my Ampeg PF210HE.Francis L

I installed it, and was pretty blown away by the clarity of sound. The weight difference in the cab is quite noticeable. Definitely would recommend this product. Also excellent service. Thank you.Antelmo
I spent DAYS reading all of the specs on the various Eminence NEO speakers, and then I saw the specs on these, and they were CLOSER to what I wanted. I put two of them in a 2-12 cabinet with a Blonde Bassman Clone, and they are EXACTLY what I want. I can use them for bass, and I can use them with my heavy string Tele and Gretsch guitars. they really sound great. And the cabinet is SO LIGHT. I am going to be replacing several of my very heavy EVM's in the future with these. NO, they are not an EVM or a JBL, but they are more than ten pounds lighter each.lehm4206
This speaker rocks. I have it in a small home made cab, 14×10, paired with a10” Basslite in another small cab, and they sound great. Power is an Aguilar Tone Hammer 350. Playing Motown covers in a lot of venues. Everyone loves the sound of my setupChuckLotus

I had some old speakers from a bar. They needed to be reconed. For about the same cost as a reconing kit, I purchased two Celestion Pulse speakers. Unlike the bar speakers, these are intended for bass guitar. I put together a Baltic Birch speaker box and mounted them. So far they work. Little undue resonance. Good heavy magnets on these speakers.Daniel

Reviews:
I wanted to try my hand at building my own bass cab to complement my amp head and because I wanted a quality sound I decided to go with Eminence, since you can find them in a lot of high end bass cabs like Ampeg and Basson. I didn't buy these at first, I bought the B102's instead and was disappointed with the end product. There wasn't enough clean low-end, and, I tuned the cab too low to compensate for that and it was a muddy tone that came out of an expensive set of speakers. So a year later I tried it again, but, I bought these on sale (BP 102's) and also bought the Eminence compression driver; Horn; Cabinet ready crossover. I now have a 210 bass cab that sounds better than any cab I've ever heard. I recently purchased a new bass amp (Markbass Big Bang) and together they are a match made in BASS HEAVEN. In fact without the purchase of the new amp, I may have never written this review, I've had theses speakers for over 2 yrs. So if you need to replace a 10" driver or you want to custom build a cab, this is the best driver for the money you can buy. But remember, without a tweeter or compression driver you'll be disappointed.Jmac
Searching for something better in my current upgraded ESS AMT3's, I took a change on these after modeling them in BassBoxPro. All I can say is wow!! These speakers totally kick some tail. Clean deep, and don't loose their composure under high volumes. However the biggest thing is detail. What better to produce bass guitar/drums like a live performance then a real bass guitar speaker?!?! Luckily these go lower then most, pretty amazing for the price. I have 2 of these in the AMT3 stock, but braced enclosure. 2.76 liter. Heavily damped with 1 1/2" foam on walls, and 2 sheets of Auralux 2" wedge foam directly behind the woofers. 2x 3" ports, 6" length. That tunes the box to 36 hz. Don't be afraid to tune low, the lower the better. They still can handle a ton of power, xlimit is 10 mm. Never cam close because the bass is tight, clean and deep. Well controlled, but oh so sensitive!! Wow the detail of these woofers just blows my mind!! Nothing even comes close in normal "audio" woofers. Be aware however to cross over to the mid around 250hz, these don't do mids well. But who cares in a 3-way? A Alpha 6A, or larger mid woofer would be ideal. Enjoy while these are still a still!! Who needs expensive audio woofers that kill all the detail anyway?Mojo
I replaced the dead speaker in my old practice bass amp with this speaker and was quite surprised how good it sounded and was surprised that it was better than the original in sound quality. gave new life to that old amp and saved me the cost of new amp. Good solid output in a sealed cabinet down to the low E on my 4 string fender bass.hotshoetom

Received my order 3 days after my order on a Wednesday. Have not had very much time to play with it. Have it paired with a Fender 2×10" Rumble cab. This 15" cab provides a much needed bottom that the Rumble(lots of mid)does not give. I plan to use this for larger indoor/outdoor venues that the Rumble will not cover. Using an Ampeg PF 350 head so this and the Rumble are well within the power handling of 350 watts at 4 ohms.Peter M.
Great addition to my rig. Prior to purchase I was playing an Ampeg PF 350 into a Rumble 2×10" cab. I was lacking some bottom end, the Rumble was a little weak there but is good for mid to high end. This cabinet exceeded what I was looking for, strong bottom end. I'm using both as a stack with the 15" cab on the bottom. I've only used it for practice but have an upcoming outdoor gig. I'm sure my set up will handle that. Would recommend SA for all speaker needs, both Bass and Guitar.Peter A.
Met my need for a robust portable bass guitar cabinet! Constuction is excellent – solid even though it’s MDF not plywood. Swapped out the seismic speaker (no offense) for a JBL K140. Worked like a charm. Might consider putting a horn in it. We’ll work the money. Thanks. IanIan R.

Reviews:
Many may disagree, but this driver is completely unable to reproduce bass accurately because of its weak motor (small magnet). Heck, 25oz is too small for an 8" driver! Its 'rolling' sound might satisfy Bob Carver, but it has no punch. It has lots of output and smooth midbass in an open baffle, but you pay dearly for it with a slow, muddy sound. How anyone who calls themself an audiophile can be satisfied with it is beyond me.dipoleprechaun - 24841
Very good wufer for resonable price. I installed it in 2-way open buffle. The bass is pretty much enough. The only problem is 10 Db 2000 Hz pick. Can be corrected by 1-order lowpass filter or bandpass RLC corrector.
I bought this as a replacement speaker for a Peavey bass amp. Could not be happier! Sounds great!dj_us_ucjeve

Reviews:
Excellent mid-bass. I built a pair of ported high/mid cabinets, each using two of these and a high quality tweeter. Wired them up with Zobel and crossover networks. Very efficient with good power handling. Good transient response and clarity. Vocals, guiter, keyboard-piano, and things in that range really come through. Better clarity than typical high/mid cab with 12 or 15 inch woofer. Not much low bass, but not what they are designed for. Use with bottoms. Would buy again.Mike - 10766

Using it as a sub driver in a home made sealed cab powered by a fully reconditioned Crown DC 300A Series II in bridge mono mode. Great combo. X-over is a Dbx Drive Rack PA. This speaker can handle everything I throw at it from 40hz to 1200hz.Thomas
I put a pair of these in EV TL 806 Vented cabinets but the sound was not so good a bit hollow, empty and lacking punch. I built a 1.8 cu. ft. sealed cab and the sound was much improved smooth and punchey. I play a Rickenbacker bass that can be quite bright/ boomy on top end and these speakers handle it well.Randy
I've been using a 12 and 15 for my bass rig in small clubs, but was using an old Altec 12 that was meant for guitar. Switched to this speaker and BOOM! Much better. And much lighter! Huge improvement. Love it.GENE

So far I'm impressed with the sound and weight reduction over the Bugera 10" they replaced. If they can stand up to 450 watts for the foreseeable future, I'll add the fifth star. My only reservation was the price but if they are a rugged as I hope they are, they'll be the right investment. Total weight savings for 2 10"- 10 pounds.JAMES
These are great speakers and PE got them tome pronto.. They sound great and are lightweight, makes moving my rig around super easy!angus
Went three stars on the features because its a driver only. Five string bass running through 1×10 combo from Line6. This driver much better than factory installed. Everything below B1 was total mud before. This Celestion has all the definition i want. Can play C#1 fifths and no distortion or mud just rich low end. Wonder what four in a 4×10 would sound like? Probably cause a tidal wave. Maybe price should be $120? With free shipping I don't care.Guest

Reviews:
Using it in a series tuned vented box. Tuned around 65hz for fullrange guitar. Buttery, rich and full. Box net is around 1.25. Powered with 120 watts of hartke head amp. This setup embarrasses the orange setup my kid was using. Plays loud and clean. So loud you would swear the noise is coming from inside your head. Plays bass guitar good as well even though the box is tuned half an octave too high for thatJustin
I am very pleased with this driver in a small ported 1×10 e-bass cabinet tuned to around 60 hz f3. It's got some lungs, good voicing that is smooth but shows some snarl too when you dig in. The 4 lb weight is impressive. I think this would work also as a small, but effective sub for those who like PA quailities to their indoor systems.meep
It is definitely a good speaker, tipping it's hat to a vintage growl while maintaining a slightly modern upper end. I do wish it had spring or threaded terminals. Much more controlled in its mid definition and forwardness than the Deltalite 2510. Definitely good speaker. Only wishes would be better terminals than the spade type, and maybe aluminum frame.thetenyearplan

Reviews:
Excellent bass guitar speaker at a reasonable price. I built a 3.9 cu-ft 4-ohm 410 (3 front + 1 rear) with these and like the way they are voiced. The cab is tuned to 50 Hz with port plugs which can be used to make it sealed for a tighter low end. The SC10-16 is also light weight with good sensitivity and reasonable power handling. With a 3/4" birch ply baffle and 1/2" european poplar ply for the rest of the cab final weight was only 47.6 lbs. (Picture imported with 90 deg rotation)5StringPocket
I used these for replacement in an Ashdown bass amp
I replaced the speakers in a Hartke 2-10 cabinet with these. It sounds great at low volume, but it cannot be used for a gig, even in a small venue. At a moderate volume, anything at or below the low G on a bass makes the speakers rattle (I tried with the speakers outside the cabinet as well, so it's not the cabinet rattling). They don't seem to be able to handle the rated power, so this cabinet will be staying at home.David

Reviews:
If your thinking about buying a minirig sub you probably already have a speaker and know how good they are! The sub makes it even better, get one and you will not be disappointedtwinsx0303
After my 1st weekend with this phenomenal machine I am very happy indeed with it and the normal MINIRIG I purchased with it. Other than having to deal with complaints about the volume of my sound system the bulk of 3 days I spent completely immersed in sound. With the aid of 2 bootlaces I found I could comfortably hang them both round my neck and dance away from any miserable beeps that didn't want to party. This sub did finally show a little sign of the battery getting flat by showing a touch of red in the blue on the really heavy bass but the quality was still excellent. So basically there is a very good reason why all these subs sell out so fast – My advice is – Do Not Hesitate to buy if you have the chance before they are all gone again.radiopsi
We bought this to go with the Minirig as a gift. I was quite sceptical about the quality of the sound possible from such a unit – being a life long conventional hi fi lover, but to be honest I was amazed at the depth of the sound. It does not distort when on full volume and compliments to sound of the Minirig. More than enough sound and volume to fill our large open plan area.celticmohair

This is great for cabinets with four or more speakers. With 32 ohms wiring four in parallel bring it to a eight ohm load. Just do not use a keyboard dropped below rated feq. of about 57hz. This speakers can handle high spl's.Waldens Audio - 31934
Perfect replacement speaker for my classic 1975 Ampeg SVT 8×10 cabinet. Same size, same weight and better baffle than original (none) as it's front loaded. Works sweet for my wall of sound.MarkB

I put this into a 1×15 cab powered by a Carvin head and it just RUMBLES. Eminence quality and sound. Good buy.Spookytoof
I load too many speakers. I believe in Eminence Delta series for several applications. I currently deploy Delta LFA for low frequency support, Delta Pro series for their range and power for PA support, and Delta A for monitors and smaller venue mains. They are reliably consistent and handle power and abusive cartage. Good useable range for any application.

Reviews:
Sound: Replaced bass in a set of Studio Monitor speakers connected to NAD amp. Superb sound: clear, crisp at any volume. Much depends on a quality amp so, if you're thinking upgrade, consider the whole package to get the most out of Eminence speakers. Overall: No past experience with Eminence but researched the heck out of replacing bass before I settled on these. From what I learned, Beta's should last many years and they were a breeze to swap out the existing speakers. All it took was a screwdriver and in ten minutes I was listening to great music.
Quality and construction appear very good and I really appreciate the gasket on the back side of the basket for mounting on the front of the baffle. The packing from Eminence was excellent. I installed these speakers in mid sized sealed cabinets along with the 270-125 heavy duty titanium super tweeters. Over all I m very pleased. I am powering them with a 150W per channel mixer. These will play extremely loud with no hint of distortion. No rubs, buzzes, or other issues. The sound is fairly natural. Very punchy in the mid range. Vocals and guitar seem to come to the front of the mix. The bass is more subdued. Of course, this is probably due to overlap with the tweeters. At low and medium volume they still sound good. Almost as good as decent Hi-Fi speakers and better than most PA speakers on recorded music. I think they ll work really well for my indented purpose as PA vocal speakers.Parts Express Customer - 12732
Overall: bought this speaker after purchasing a cheaper speaker to upgrade a monitor cabinet. the cheaper speaker had a great appearance but was not pushing the db's. So I searched for a better alternative.. These Beta speakers are loud!!! and great for vocals.. They cover all frequencies perfectly.. The spec sheets do not lie.. I will be buying moreGregg

I paired the legend 1275 with a eminence CV75 in a 2×12 custom cabinet. Use DV mark head And you get very nice cleans with decent break up at mid range volumesDavid W.
