Reviews:
I came in to sign up for guitar lessons as an old man. I could barely spell guitar. First thing — I would need a guitar. Soon, I was in a room full of guitars, and I had no idea what I needed. Sam Ash's man knew. Not too cheap; not too expensive; not too gaudy; try this one, try that one. After a while we decided on the Baby Taylor. What a joy he was to work with, explaining, suggesting, leading, helping. A great experience. And, I love my guitar.Ralph
Purchased in 2002 for practice and travel when I didn't want to take a full-sized guitar. I was impressed with the rich sound and ease of play. It stays in tune, even when not played for long periods of time. It's always been stored in the Baby Taylor gig bag that came with it, in a closet, when not in use. I recently took it out to practice and discovered a crack in the top near the bottom, and that the top has separated from the body all across the bottom. It's been stored in a closet, protected from humidity fluctuations, along with 3 other acoustic guitars, one of which is vintage, and none of the other guitars have any issues. I also had a vintage, hand-made, late 1800's era mandolin stored with my other instruments, and it had no issues. I have loved this Baby Taylor for many years, and I'm heartbroken to discover the quality is so poor. The sound of acoustic guitars improves with age, so a new one won't sound the same. Sadly, I can no longer recommend this guitar.CJ
Oh my gosh I love my Baby Taylor! The koa wood makes it look as good as it sounds. My main goal was to have a guitar to travel with. I have so many guitars, but I wanted something small to take on the airplane. I've always heard great things about Taylor guitars…this is my first. It did not disappoint. I didn't expect it to have the sound quality that it does for its size. So that was just a bonus to me. It doesn't have the deep, full sound like my full bodied acoustics, but it is still good enough to play under any circumstance without being embarrassed. I don't play live anymore, but I wouldn't hesitate to play my Baby Taylor on stage. The case is great too. Compact backpack style with enough padding for protection.BK

Reviews:
This is an amazing sounding instrument for the price. The quality of craftsmanship is that of a much more expensive instrument. And to top if off, it sounds great. The neck feels better than more expensive Martins. I liken it to an Australian Maton. And it comes with a solid gig bag. Highly recommended.Beninem80
Overall: All I can say is I am really glad I bought this guitar. I am not going to go into a three page novel reviewing it. I will say this is my second Taylor. My first is a 416ce-R….I purchased a couple of years ago which I love playing, and enjoy thoroughly. That being said I love this GS Mahogany Mini more. For a fraction of the cost you have an awesome guitar here that plays incredibly. Bought a SKB hard case to protect it. The case that came with it is nice, but not for air travel. I just can't stop playing this mini. Great sound, playability, quality and beautiful. Glad I bought this guitar. No regrets!
This guitar is warm and rich sounding. The playability is incredible and feels amazing in the hands. It looks like it is worth more than what it is. Taylor took the care and attention to this line of guitars as it does with its higher end models. I used to have a 614ce and this mini is on par with the way it feels. Obviously not as loud as the 614ce or as pretty, but the care in craftsmanship is the same. Not that the guitar is pretty though. I love this guitar and could not put it down. Sweetwater also did an excellent job on inspecting and packaging this guitar to make sure it sounds perfect when it arrives in my hands.
3. Fender Sonoran Mini Acoustic Guitar – All Mahogany
Product Details:
The fender sonoran mini 6-string acoustic guitar packs a big punch into a smaller-sized acoustic guitar. featuring the choice of a spruce or mahogany top paired with mahogany back and sides, this guitar has a 24.1-inch scale length but delivers the tone of a full-sized guitar. like all models in the california series, the sonoran mini features a 6-in-line strat headstock inspired by fenders electric legacy. other premium features include a walnut fingerboard and bridge, and a nubone nut and saddle. whether youre a young, aspiring player looking for a smaller instrument, or simply looking for a top-notch guitar thats easy to travel with, the sonoran mini has you covered. mahogany top the soundboard provides the most important tonal element of an acoustic guitar. mahogany tops feature alluring grain patterns and offer a warmer tone than spruce. scalloped bracing scalloped bracing is thinner than more conventional bracing. that means that the bracing pattern inside the guitar uses less wood, which means that soundboard mass is reduced. this lets the top resonate more freely, resulting in a better tone with more nuance and greater projection. 6-in-line headstock the strat-style 6-in-line headstock imparts fenders rock-and-roll attitude into this acoustic-electric instrument.

Reviews:
I have a number of acoustic type guitars – both steel and nylon strung. When playing these I rarely strum – it's a finger style combination of rock, flamenco, folk, blues and jazz ( a real mixture). The first thing I did was to change the strings (D'Addario Silk & Steel). As a result this little Fender beauty has turned into an excellent parlour guitar: it's responsive, lovely to play and remarkably loud for its size. Build quality is good and the sound projects well. If you're a chord strummer, I wouldn't suggest that the Sonoran is for you – but it responds superbly to finger style playing. It's subtle and responsive. For the money, it's very, very good. And of course, it's very, very easy to lug around. Love it!Gillian B.
A great little guitar. I love the sound and feel of acoustic guitars but was looking for something a little more portable and easy on my very small hands. This guitar gives a lovely sound plus all the qualities and convenience I was looking for. It’s really nice-looking too.Rosalind
A lovely guitar, perfect finish and expertly delivered. Only gripes were that I wished the machine heads were metal instead of plastic, and that the gig bag was of higher quality (upgraded to a Fender FAC-610 Classical Guitar Gig Bag, for safer transport to lessons). Otherwise highly recommended!Ann

At first I was going to say it's a great guitar for the price, but that really doesn't do this thing justice. It's just a great guitar. It has a great sound, it feels good in your hands, it's easy to hold and to play. I can't fault this guitar at all. The action was a bit high out of the box, but the tech at Guitar Center gave it a great set-up and now it's very easy to play. I'm planning to give this one to my daughter, but I would happily keep this myself. I have only been playing guitar for a few weeks, but even I can make this thing sound good!Todd
There is a place in my project studio for FS800: 48 years ago I sold Yamaha Guitars and found them excellent. When the group "America" presented a acoustic sound (Horse with No Name; Ventura Highway; Tin Man . . . et al) the solid rhythms of Yamaha solid top guitars proved Ideal. Through the years I have experimented with various genres as a singer songwriter; now a days I have returned to folk and "heavy on" acoustic guitar sounds. To complement my more expensive guitars I needed something that could deliver the solid rhythms I fondly recall. Now the Yamaha FS800 excels for finger styles as well: I layer tracks this guitar is a breeze to play and its character naturally stands out in the mix. I cannot see a beginner or a more advanced guitarist going wrong with The Yamaha FS800. JHajarhill
Perfect couch and campfire guitar. Sustains and project very well with a surprisingly round warm sound. Gorgeous burst finish much nicer in person. String spacing is slightly narrower than standard, make note. Bridge saddle needed to be shaved down for lower action. Neck and frets were perfect otherwise. Tuning very stable. A set of 11-52 will be next string change. Love playing this thing, and exploring alternate tunings! It seems Yamaha's reputation is true.Greg

I purchased this guitar for my 11 year old daughter. I wanted to find a quality instrument that is smaller in size, easy to play, and stays in tune. I have owned other Yamaha guitars before, and they are a great guitar for the price. The Yamaha FG JR1 did not disappoint! The guitar is easy to play, stays in tune and it sounds pretty good for a small guitar. The strings do feel a little heavy for a beginner. I would definitely recommend changing the strings to a lighter gauge for a beginning player. I recommend the Ernie Ball Earthwood Silk and Steel Extra Soft 10-50. They’re a great string for tender young fingers.Jimmy
I bought the Yamaha JR2 for my daughter as a Christmas present and I was surprised. I didn't expect it to be that good because of its price but WOW!!! The resonance is unbelievable given that it's not made from solid wood and the neck is so comfortable, perfect for kids who are learning. This is my third guitar from Better Music and they never disappoint me. The guitars are well set up and the packaging is unbelievable every time. It just shows how much they value their customers and that's why I keep coming back. I don't usually leave reviews but I appreciate what these guys are doing. Keep up the good work!Marvin B.
I bought this on the 7th birthday of one of my twin girl. I was on a tight budget of around $100 and then I thought to speak to one of the representatives at SamAsh. After having a talk with him I was convinced to get a good guitar to start even though I have to stretch my budget. Since my family is a newbie in musical instruments i am happy that my girl is interested in learning music. She is very happy and we are thinking to take her to few lessons. It's well-made and offers a good tone. Great buy!!Preeti

Reviews:
I love this guitar. I initially wanted an amp, The same model as my first amp, a gift from my parents that I regretfully sold.I placed an order with guitar center and within a few days they called to ask if I would accept a demo model. I told them I really wanted a new one. A few more days passed and my amp was at the store, I picked it up and sure enough it was used, thrown upside down in a box and missing the foot switch. They told me they would get me a new one, but they couldn't and I ended up getting my money back. I was discouraged and ended up spending half the money on something else and never got the amp. I decided I would buy an acoustic with the rest of the money and I had heard good things about the Taylor GS mini. I didn't know where to order from and decided to try Sweetwater. This was the best move I have made. I received a text message right after I ordered, then an email with pictures of my guitar and it showed up the very next day… in tune! This guitar sounds amazing. It also came with a little bag of candy. I was so happy with Sweetwater that I placed another order the day my guitar arrived for a strap and a new cable for my electric guitar. I could have drove 10 minutes to guitar center but I am done with them and now will only order from Sweetwater. The customer service is the best. This is how you treat your customers! I look forward to getting more gear from you guys. Thank you!
I have been wanting to get my own Taylor GS Mini since I first heard one, and when I saw the rosewood back and sides model, I knew I had to act. It wasn't in the budget at the time, but I was so anxious to have one that I called AMS, and man, am I glad I did! My sales associate Enrique made it SO easy for me to obtain this lovely instrument that I simply had to do it. First, the guitar itself: I've never owned a parlor guitar before, and wasn't exactly sure it would be suitable sonically, but man, the sound of this instrument just Blows.My.Mind! Every note of every string rings out as well as or better than any acoustic I've ever played, including several guitars costing three and four times as much. And the tone is simply astounding: huge, rich, bell-like clarity up and down the entire sonic spectrum, and the sustain is simply unbelievable. The setup was very much to my liking and suits my playing style perfectly, and the craftsmanship is second to none. I waited for several weeks before writing this because I wanted to play it for awhile before giving my opinion, and I love it more each and every time I pick it up. I'm not a luthier, but I am a finish carpenter with considerable woodworking experience, having worked in wood for more than forty years now, and I have yet to spot a single flaw anywhere on this guitar. Not only that, but every time I pick it up, I end up playing for much longer than I had intended, so it's good that I am retired! It's just such a joy to play that it really will become a time thief if you're not careful, but that's the kind of problem I think we all want in our gear. I own nine other guitars, mostly electrics, but this has become my go-to baby, because of its breathtaking tone and articulation. I just can't say enough about how glad I am to've made this purchase, and if you are thinking about getting one, think no more! This beautiful and apparently flawless work of art would be a great bargain at twice the price, and for what AMS is selling them for, you would be crazy not to get one. Call Enrique today and prepare to be blown away!
Bought this guitar for my daughter for Christmas. I got a gs mini koa plus for my present, and I honestly can't decide with one I like better. The rosewood back and sides on this guitar are stunning. The Sitka top sounds great, especially considering the size. I cant say enough good things about the gs mini.

I was looking for a travel guitar that sounded half way decent. I saw the Ibanez and checked out some clips on You Tube of folks playing it. Sounded pretty good. The thing is well built, has clean bracing and a rosewood neck and bridge. One piece back with false center purfling (painted on). Bound top and bottom. Ogonkol wood, likely a laminate. But pretty darn decent tone and sustain. Mine came with very low action, and very light gauge strings. So I plan to shim the bridge saddle. Likely not capable of handling strings of anything but a light gauge. Tuners are OK, some have reported trouble with them. But that is probably more to do with string gauge than the mechanics. The neck is small for those who have played a full size guitar and are now switching. I play mandolin, too. So its an easy change to this size of neck. Tuned a fourth up from standard, and as was pointed out previously, essentially a requinto tuning. Overall as very decent little travel instrument for an extremely reasonable price. I'm very pleased.fourweedogs
I was looking for a tiny guitar because of pain in my right shoulder even from playing my Taylor GS Mini guitar. I chose this instrument because it's so small, I like the sound of steel strings, my fingers on the left hand are already calloused, and especially because the neck is much more narrow than that of the many nylon string models – less cause for pain in the left hand. At first, the neck was so narrow that I couldn't fit my fingers to form chords and thought I'd have to return it. With continued practice, however, it became easy to play. Now, it's so much fun to play, I can't stop. I thought I'd retune it to E to E like a guitar because it would be too much trouble to transpose all my songs to a different key, also that it would be too hard to play with other people. Now I realize, it's no big deal. If, for example, they play in C, I play in G, always 5 notes up. I've fallen in love with the unique sound – sort of like an autoharp or banjo. The people that I play guitar with love that it adds another quality of sound. It's not just another guitar. It's also a pretty little instrument. I highly recommend it.jeannie7is

Reviews:
10. Cordoba Mini Ii Mh Acoustic Guitar, Mahogany
Product Details:
Say hello to the mini ii mh, our popular mini travel-size guitar, but slightly bigger and with an extended 580 mm (22-7/8") scale length so it tunes perfectly to standard e. despite its small profile, the mini ii has a deeper body depth which creates a well-rounded tone that is close to a full-size nylon string guitar. built with all-mahogany woods, its unique voice is mellow, soft and balanced. upper bout width: 222 mm (8-3/4") lower bout width: 286 mm (11-1/4"), body depth upper bout: 75 mm (3"), body depth lower bout: 85 mm (3-1/3"), body length: 403 mm (15-7/8"), overall length: 873 mm (34-3/8"), soundhole diameter: 84 mm (3-1/3").
Reviews:
I received this guitar for Christmas. Sounds nice, plays nice. Had bad buzzing on low E from first fret. Neck was ever so slightly bowed. Upon closer examination there was a long lineal split in the fret board starting at the first fret high E, skipping down to the 10th fret. A lame attempt was made to cover it up. The frets are sharp, like right off of the cutter, no sanding, mass production style. The rest of the guitar body was flawless and the FMH looks great. It has a reasonably full sound for a mini guitar. There are plenty of good reviews out there for you. I just wanted to let folks know about these potential issues. Despite these issues, I'm exchanging this guitar for another of the same and hope this particular one was a fluke. Cordoba has a good reputation.DRZ
The first thing I liked about the mini ii fmh was the action; it is nicely balanced and easy to reach the higher fret chords. The fret spacing is smaller, but it isn't too crucial. The guitar's body depth is really nice since it's fun to hold, it is lighter, and space-saving. Visually, it is different than my other guitars and draws me to pick up the instrument often. It reminds me of a ukulele, comfortability, but it is hard to believe it is an actual classical guitar. The instrument is very refined – highly recommend.neptune
Excellent fit and finish, especially for the price. Upgraded standard features not usually included with nylon-string guitars: truss rod (crucial), both strap buttons, and solid peghead (slotted pegheads are a hassle). The wide string spacing allows for best chord articulation at the left hand. The tone is crisp and full and the volume is good. Intonation is superior. Altogether a great guitar for a great price. I'm sure the regular Mini II would be just as good for even less money, but it was out of stock and I didn't want to wait.Bruce The Woodworker

I bought this for my friend that wants to learn how to play the guitar. I chose this for him because it's a nylon string so it wouldn't hurt his fingers which I noticed that most beginners easily gets frustrated when the steel strings hurts their fingers and then stops learning how to play the guitar. The guitar is well made and it looks like that it will last a long time of course with proper care. It's very light weight and compact so it's easy to maintain and store this guitar and also good for traveling.Rome
This Yamaha classical guitar is sold as a 'student' guitar but it's also a great travel size instrument. It's affordable, stays in tune, intonates well and has a great full body sound even though its a 3/4 size guitar. The nylon strings are easier on the fingers than steel strings and are great for someone just starting out. This one arrived with smooth fret ends and played perfectly right out of the box. Yamaha is one of best quality guitar brands, this one proves it.bascorulesright
This was my first time trying out Musiciansfriend. I must say I wish l had I known about them sooner. I bought a guitar for my daughter's lessons. The guitar came well protected in the box. The shipping was super fast and it arrived on time. The color of the guitar is gorgeous – my daughter loves it. The price too was very good compared to other sites. I also bought a case separately and the foot stool which I am happy with. I will definitely be shopping here for all our instrument needs. To top it all off. I received a purchase follow up call from the team at Musicianfriends. It's important to make sure your customers are happy with their purchase or address any questions or concerns.Noma N

Reviews:
I purchased this instrument on a whim. I figured it would spend it's time in the back seat of my truck. I had the itch to buy something new and this guitar was a cheap way to scratch it. I've been impressed with it. It is small and lightweight. It stays in tune well(for a nylon acoustic)and sounds pretty good. I've found myself in bed falling asleep with it on my chest. I've enjoyed it that much. Does it compare to an upper end instrument? No,of course not. Then again I wouldn't dare fall asleep playing one of those either. If you are looking for someting smaller for yourself or a student that you are not afraid to abuse this is by far worth the money.Sean488
Used to mess around with my brother's acoustic guitar many, many years ago. Decided to renew my interest but wanted a smaller (3/4) size acoustic with nylon strings, as I have small hands. After much research, chose the Fender MC-1. Was pleasantly surprised at the lovely, mellow sound which is what I wanted. Would highly recommend.Eli's Mom

Reviews:
I purchased this guitar for my son who starts to learn how to play. It is a very cheap entry guitar but has a wonderful sound. As it has open pore finish, it has a little bit dry sound and may be weak in its durability. But Cordoba has found a good balance between sound and price. I strongly recommend Cordoba C1M to beginners.Andy
Excellent sound, finish, and feel. Perfect– from young students to experienced guitarists — sized right for smaller hands. Even the neck is slightly downsized at 1.88 inches, as opposed to a more standard 2 inch nut width. Enhanced by Savarez 500 CJ high tension strings, this instrument rings out very well, especially for a 3/4 sized guitar. When you order your Protege C1 (or C1M) it might be a good idea to order a set of replacement strings at the same time. I did. Don't be fooled by the 3/4 designation. Actually, the 24.2 inch scale length is not that far off of many full scale instruments. My Fender dreadnought has a 25.3 inch scale length. These high tension strings on this short scale guitar feel very similar to normal (medium) tension strings on a full scale guitar. I installed my under-the-strings pickup so I can plug into an amp in larger rooms. Sounds great!

I purchased the Luna Aurora Borealis for my grand daughter to learn guitar. She likes the blue sparkle and it is the right size for her small 8 year old hands. I play folk, rock and blues about two hours a day. I found this guitar very hard to play. The strings were incredibly high, stiff as barbed wire and the intonation was not close. I was able to lower the action, installed lighter gauge strings and adjust the intonation to a passable level. My grand daughter is excited about the guitar, loves the way it looks and if she will stick with it after the changes, I will judge this little starter guitar to have served its purpose.Brian
I bought this guitar for my 5 year old and I have been playing for awhile and she wanted to learn. I chose the 3/4 size because obviously she is 5 and I really thought that she could grow into this and it would be fun. That however is not the case. Now shame on me for not taking her and letting her pick I understand that but she saw the blue sparkles and is daddy's little girl so I caved. This guitar is oddly heavy and seems bigger than a 3/4. The sound isn't what I thought it would be and needs constant tuning. Not a little tuning a lot of tuning. Bottom line is if you're looking for a starter guitar I would highly suggest avoiding this at all cost. It seems like you pay for the paint job rather than a nice easy guitar for a child. Go with the Yamaha Jr or something along those lines.AndrewAlan
I bought this because my woman liked the color. I though I could get her to play it. My expectations on tone and volume were fairly low but it's a bit worse even than I expected. The strings arrived sounding dead and the unit seems even more cheaply made than it looks in the pix.Just Another Person

Bought this for my 7y/o son, we've started guitar lessons, thought it's going to be fine for his first guitar, but it's terrible. Some frets are defected and it doesn't hold the tune. It's what our guitar teacher said. (Well he was the one who recommended to buy a cheaper version for the first guitar, and he has the one from Walmart, so I think it's just this brand or something) just don't buy this one unless it's just for fun.Nick
I bought this in the last week of July and got it a couple days after. Within 5 days of getting it, the plastic bar on the wood that holds the strings came off and now it's practically useless because it won't go back in and all the strings are loose. I tried to return it within 7 days but they wouldn't take it back because I don't have the original box that it came in but I do have everything else which is fine I guess but now I'm being juggled between the actual manufacturers of the product and the source and it's really not worth the money.Kiwi08
18. Luna Safbamboo Safari Bamboo Travel Acoustic Guitar, Satin Natural

Reviews:
The guitar is cool looking, with the moon phase fret markers and the logo on the headstock. Sounds a little tinny, but it's small and light and fun to play. A short 22 1/2" scale length makes the strings easy to fret for beginners and experienced musicians as well. The gig bag is nothing to write home about, it'll keep the dust out, but doesn't provide much protection against bumps or dings. It's basically a canvas bag with no padding whatsoever. The fit and finish on the guitar I bought was excellent. I would recommend to anyone wanting a smaller guitar for well under $200.Mshark
This is a nice little guitar for travel, camping and taking to the lake, places you might not want to take the fancy Martin or Taylor. It is light but sturdy and has a quality feel. The sound is not great, but not bad for a small 3/4 laminate guitar. It is very easy to play–the action is low and light, almost like an electric guitar. Has an attractive 'Celtic Moon' look that I like as well. All in all, not a bad little ax for hauling around on my travels.Sideflyer
Wow. I can honestly say I like this little guitar. I was skeptical about ordering it without having played it first. I took a chance after reading many positive reviews. I wanted a decent travel guitar, not wanting to spend a ton of money. I made the right choice. Good tone. Solid construction. Tuners that stay in tune. Action was decent when it arrived, I still had to adjust the truss rod a time ny bit. Good Mahogany wood. Would definitely recommend to those wanting a good travel guitar. Also, a great size for young players wanting something to fit their size.Thomas

Reviews:
Bought two guitars, for my twins for Christmas. I decided to take them out of the packaging to get them set up so the kids could play, I am glad I did. One guitar, the neck must have shrunk because the frets were absolutely cutting up my hands as I played. Ok, maybe I can fix these, dont feel like I should have to, but its for the kids right. Put that guitar to the side. I grab the other one, a tuning peg on the other guitar was installed with stripped screws, so it wouldn't adjust the string and the tuning peg was about ready to pop out. Terrific…. I figure with both having issues, I am just going to take them back. They feel super cheap and sound like something you would buy in the toy section at a department store.Disappointed
I really want to give the guitar five stars and I would if the wood was just a little thicker stock. Compared to the baby Taylor or the Martin Jr the pf2mh is noticeably thinner. I've had the guitar for quite a while now and I gave it the benefit of the doubt at first because it was new strings but the truth is compared to my other guitars after they're broken in it does not stay in tune you're going to have to tune at least one of the big strings before you play it every time you pick it up just about. But it's a beautiful little guitar lovely really and it plays wonderful it has a wonderful time and it's a great starter. I got it because I know my niece is coming out to stay with us for an extended stay and I wanted her to have something to learn off of while she was here visiting it she'll probably end up taking home with her. For the money difference this is a very good bargain between the other choices out there I'm not sure how long live this guitar can be with a flat top that's that thin if you don't keep up with it and don't let it dry out you probably be okay but if it starts cracking it it's not going to be long before it starts buzzing. Again on the positive side this is a wonderful way to hear the difference between a solid wood and hpl to my ear there is definitely adifference in this guitar sounds better than the other two I've mentioned in this write-up which I also own. I give the ominous the better tone of the three and I think it's because it's the solid wood and it's as thin as it is but it has convinced me to buy another one of these in the bigger size and I am currently looking at an art wood series Ibanez set up and looking much the same as this only it's a maple top as I recall.lgt_5259
Overall: I bought this little guy as I don't want to carry my expensive Ovation around outside and, for the price range the quality and sound is amazingly good. It sounds much better than the price would suggest! I have tried open D tuning and standard tunings and its all good. I think the build quality is fine also.Hans
20. Rogue Starter Acoustic Guitar – Walnut
Product Details:
The small-bodied rogue starter acoustic guitar is an amazing deal for a starter guitar. its smaller profile (7/8 scale) makes it very playable for kids or aspiring guitarists with smaller body frames and hands. it has a maple neck and rosewood fretboard and martin strings which help. give you a nice tone. check the drop-down menu to the right to select from one of five colors. case sold separately.
Reviews:
Rogue Starter Guitar. Bottom line: NOT for beginners, requires too much set-up work and the strings feel very harsh on the fingers. I really tried to make it work. I was warned against buying cheap, but I thought I wanted something I could learn on, that I wouldn't be intimidated by, and eventually donate somewhere. But it was not playable out of the box. At first the tuning was awful. I figured out why they include an Allen wrench, and eventually put on my big-girl shoes and adjusted the truss rod. There are no instructions included with this guitar, so here's a clue: the access panel is in the front of the head stock, and you need to open the rhomboid black panel to access it. It was difficult to turn, but I adjusted it and made it sound a bit better, even though I was afraid of breaking it. However – the D-String tuning peg turned out to be totally defective, the screw threads were not lined up. How can I learn what it's supposed to sound like if it never sounds right? We are still in the middle of Covid-19, and I was unable to bring it back to Guitar Center for repair or replacement for weeks, so I tried to work with it and continued my self-guided lessons. As soon as the shop opened to walk-in customers, I returned it. I will not be replacing it with this model. It did serve its purpose in a way, I researched the guitar parts and repair, and took it upon myself to try to fix the issues, so now I am not intimidated by a guitar.J-net
Sorry, I hate to write negative reviews but… in what world are these the same guitars? From the picture, the Red Burst guitar looked like a dark mahogany color. Instead it's a bright red with a black edge. I'm sure that's some people's style, but not mine. It also won't stay in tune, and it's a pain to retune it every day I pick it up. I picked this guitar because I'm just starting to learn and didn't want to sink too much money into something I don't stick with. I'm not sure if I want to spend the extra money to upgrade to a better guitar, but I at least plan on taking it into the nearest guitar center store and see if I can exchange it for another color. Even that will be a pain, since I'll have to take it on the train and I don't have a case for it yet. I just wish the pictures were more accurate to the product!Rachel
