Reviews:
An almost perfect starting bass guitar. Built well and sounds great. Im the type of person thats really into replacing parts and customizing my instermant (ive played alot of different ones over the years) wich is not something that i would recomend doing with a instermant that alone costs a couple hundred dollars. I only have 2 complaints which are that i recently had to get the nut (the small plastic piece that seperates the 4 strings at the top of the neck) replaced but thats only natural. And the dvd that comes with it although it says hours of lessons on it it really only has a few for bass most of it is for electric and acustic guitar Some of the other complaints ive seen seem to be more of an issue with damage from shipping more than the construction.
Just received this bass guitar using the Site-To-Store feature. Got here in 3 days using regular site to store (way sooner than the 7-10 days). Silvertone Revolver Bass pretty good for first time user like myself. Despite that, the cable seems to be somewhat cheap. (I may not have experience but I'm not completely ignorant either.) Overall this is in my opinion a good buy. Good for someone who is just starting to learn how to play a bass guitar like me. It being a whole package is definitely worth it so you don't buy a $300 bass and another $200 amp.AngelBassPlayer
I thought that in order to get a good-quality bass I'd have to spend a lot of money, but for this low a price and all the accessories and equipment that come with it it's pretty decent. The DVD that came with it is a huge help, and you can sign up on their website for free help. (Note: The DVD only plays in a regular DVD player, not a computer for some reason.) The only thing I think is junk is the tuner that comes with it. That thing was ridiculously off the mark (reading the wrong strings) and useless. Spend more money on a separate tuner or use one of the ones available online. Also, if you're a smaller person like I am, the bass may seem a little heavy to handle. I do think it's a good starter bass to work with until I feel comfortable enough playing it to get an upgrade.BassNewbie

Overall: I got this bass as an early Father's Day gift to myself and also for hitting my two year mark in the Air Force. I would consider myself a beginner bassist but I have some experience on guitar and setting up both, including electronics. After a string change and adjusting the truss rod, this thing plays like butter. I also had to file a few sprouting fret ends, but that's normal where I live. I may change out the cheap pots, but the pickups sound great. Nicest playing bass I've played.Michael
Overall: I had an earlier version of this same make and model for years (and loved it), but it was recently stolen. Rather than looking around for another (make, model, etc), I went back to what I knew… and loved. I purchased this newer version, and love it! With the added features, it has a richer, deeper sound than my old version, but still the same, great play-ability – like having my old friend back. It is a great mid-priced bass guitar!Bruce
Overall: L just received my candy red bass,OMG where do I start! great out of the box,did a little tweaking string height, intonation, truss rod was perfect. strings are kind of dead, thats to be expected,L have new specror strings to replace with.this is by far the sweetest bass I have ever owned.L would put this up against any american fender! look no further for a great bass with a great company,SPECTOR of course if you want to sweeten the deal, than order this from zZounds,if you can get one .HURRY,they really go FAST! [Pre-order and ho to bass nervana!James
3. Silvertone 1449 Electric Guitar In Black Silver Flake
Product Details:
One of the most clever and well-known concepts in the early 60s guitar boom was the silvertone amp-in-case line. for well under $100, you could get a guitar that came in a case featuring a 5-watt (later, 6-watt) tube amp built right in. just open the case halfway, stand it up, switch it on, and wail. the original guitar in the 1962 kit (1448) was a single pickup, short-neck model. a year later, the 2-pickup 1449 was introduced and the amp-in-case really took off. the 1449 is the most rare of the breed, being replaced by the almost identical redburst 1457 in 1964. this guitar screams.

Reviews:
Overall: Had one of the Silvertones in the &70'. This is a great reproduction with modern refinements. Good setup right out of the box. Very fun to play. Wish they would produce the" amp in the case" like my first one had. The web site for service & registration has much to be desired. Otherwise a great find.Mike
Overall: Saw this little gem and had to have it! Ordered on a Thursday afternoon and was delivered Saturday morning- aside during a snowstorm! Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this guitar, especially for the price. I remember these guitars from when I was young, and I always thought they were cool looking in a funky way. Guitar plays nicely and sounds good. Had to tweak action and intonation a little after changing to my preferred strings. All in all, a great little guitar for a great price!Mike
Overall: My parents gifted me an original Silvertone 1449 with the amp in the case in the early 60's. I played that guitar for many years, finally wearing deep grooves in the frets, and subsequently moving on to a "better" guitar.Remembering the good old days, and realizing how lucky I was to start out on what is now considered by some as an iconic instrument, I have missed that guitar.I've been eyeballing this re-issue for some time now and finally took the plunge. I felt a little guilty about placing the order as I have other guitars, BUT, after receiving this item, I'm glad I pulled the pin.PROSThe red sparkle sunburst is the same color as my original, with a higher quality look. The same bright tones as the original from the single coil lipstick pickups. An adjustable individually compensated bridge. The "C" shaped neck like I remember with nicely finished fingerboard and fret ends.A dual action truss rod.Fit and finish is excellent on my example.CONSThe re-issue lacks the white textured binding that covered the entire edge of the original. It's heavier due to the solid body construction (the original body was masonite and plywood)As delivered the intonation was somewhat off on several strings (easily remedied via the adjustable bridge)Overall I really like the re-issue and I'm glad I ordered it. It is similar enough to the original to bring back fond memories, yet in many ways far exceeds it.Gary

7. Silvertone 1444 Bass Black 1964
Product Details:
Here we have an awesome vintage bass. this baby is made out of masonite and is light as a feather. it also has a shorter scale, which is easy to maneuver. the bass is not in great shape, although it is all there.there are a couple condition issues with the bass. the first obvious one being cosmetic issues. there is some heavy scratching throughout the entire bass as well as some few moderate blemishes here and there. i am sure that one of the tuners is stripped, so the bass will likely need a new set a of tuners. i would like to leave this to the new owner. the wiring still works, so it is not too much of a project. the bass will ship in a decently nice gig bag.

The Silvertone 633AVS is a nice instrument. However the action is too high. It's going to need an adjustment to make it playable on all the frets. I'm not a luthier. And luthiers aren't cheap. New guitars should be setup in the factory before being sold ! And the dealers should make sure they are setup too !edog85
