This item does not fit a guitar with a pickup that has been installed at the end of the neck which intrudes in to the soundhole of the guitar. I should have taken this into account….my error. I don't know how effective these really are but have been told by more than one person that they have a bit of muffle impact on the tone/sound of the guitar. Overall, I think they do what they are intended to do….so I rate them as o.k.!! Make a better evaluation of your guitar, etc. before purchase. Use this onstage, in a on acoustic act, through a Bose L1 and a mixing board. Fits well in my main guitar, a Takamine LTD. Feedback hasn't been a huge problem generally, but there are some venues where the small stages force us to set up only a few feet from the PA. In these situations the only other solution is extreme eq, which robs my tone of the low end thump that is critical in helping the audience "feel" the rhythm. Using this thick rubber plug in the soundhole has almost completely solved the problem, something a thinner plastic cover did not. It is an acceptable compromise. However it will not fit in my Martin OM-28. I got it in there, but it is buckled up. Have not tried that setup on stage yet, so I'm not sure if it still wouldn't work just as well. Still I'm be happy to be able to get one that fit properly. That said the Tak grand auditorium shape lends itself better to my duo work, as it cuts the mix. A rich, complex sounding guitar like the Martin is difficult to amplify without using a mic as well as an onboard pickup.Larry
Doesn't fit any of my Ovation Baladeers. Doesn't fit any of my Martins. Doesn't even fit my Epiphone beater acoustic…Exactly what guitars does this thing fit in? …None, as far as I can tell… If I tried really, really hard, I could barely squeeze it into the soundhole on the Ovation, but it was so tight that the center of the cover buckled inwards- looked cheesy and didn't seal the soundhole because of it. I don't know if they got a bad batch that are too big, or if there is some mystery guitar that these magically fit perfect in- but they are useless to me in *all* of my acoustics… So you're aware- the bottom side of the cover- the part that goes into the soundhole is right around 4 and 1/32" (right around 102mm), but tapers to a bigger size as it goes towards the topside, kind of like a large wine bottle cork, and it doesn't like to be crammed in. If your soundhole is 4 and 1/16th or a hair bigger, it might work for you, but if the hole is exactly 4 inches or less- forget it…Toonz

The design of the gig bag makes it more suitable for right handed guitars. My left handed tele deluxe has to be put in backwards because of the angled top on the bag. Pros: Super nice looking (I got the gray). Stiffer than other gig bags, has an adjustable neck support inside, and has more padding around headstock and base – all of this will offer really good protection. Rubberized base is great if you have to set the bag down on wet or muddy ground. I also like the pocket for the backpack straps, so you can tuck them away if you're not using them. Roomy main pocket for all of the gear. Nice sturdy handle. Cons: Zipper pulls seem less sturdy and neck pocket is only good for capo, picks, and other thin things. We'll see how long it lasts with heavy use, but so far I am liking the bag a lot.Kim
This case is advertised to fit numerous solid body electrics, it should do just fine. The wanna-be Tele copy I am building fits well, my Gibson SG is OK in there as well. I thought I'd just see if the SG fit, it has a Gator hard case it lives in. There's a number of pockets and storage places with zipper closures, and several carry on your body or handle options. The interior has a few removable, and / or moveable spacers held in place with velcro, to fit various body sizes and neck lengths. Even a convenient D ring at the top of the case to hang on a hook or something. The exterior fabric appears to be a tough material, the interior is fairly plush. The sides are not solid, but let's call them resilient, to say the least! Typical Gator Case build quality, I'm glad I bought it. On another note, kudos to the Sam Ash customer reps, who helped resolve a shipping mixup over the Christmas rush. Having a problem with a shipment is one thing, how it gets resolved is what's important, and even though it took a while what with Christmas rush and New Year in the middle of the weeks, eventually the troubles got fixed. They did what they said they were going to do, and that's good enough for me!Loren
PROS: I'm really happy with this case. I wanted something higher quality and nicer looking to go with my beautiful new Charvel Pro-Mod DK24 (which came without a case). I was torn between the black and the beige versions but the beige turned out to be really cool. A little different from the norm and very classy. Materials are great, build quality is great. Obviously, this gig bag is designed for flexibility with many different guitars, so it's not absolutely form-fitting, but it has extra padding that you can manipulate however you like for a really snug fit with your guitar. It also has lots of nice little pockets. CONS: My ONLY gripe is that the laptop pocket has the zipper at an angle, which looks cool but actually shaves off enough room so that my 15" Macbook Pro just barely misses fitting in. If only they had made the zipper straight across instead of at an angle, my mid-sized laptop would have fit in perfectly. There's still a flap that I can secure over it, but I'd feel more comfortable if I could get that zipper closed too. Oh well. 13" and below should easily fit. OVERALL: Highest quality gig bag I've come across. I know that there are one or two other brands that make high end gig bags like this, but the ones I've seen are bulkier and more geared towards being almost hardshell case stand-ins. This bag will not replace your hardshell case at all, but it is the undisputed king of "gig bags." More supportive and far more attractive than anything else I've come across.BF
