Product Details:
Excelling in the home of guitarists and keyboardists, particle 2 granular delay pitch-shifting pedal from red panda is a sophisticated and powerful pedal that uses granular audio synthesis technology to chop up your audio input into small segments called grains, and shift, rearrange, and mangle them in real time. this allows for the creation of an astonishingly wide range of sounds from simple modulation-style sounds like chorus. flanger, and pitch-shifted delay to glitched-out stuttering textures and drone-like effects. five delay and three pitch modes provide plenty of sonic potential, with the ability to mix modes for some truly unique and otherworldly sound effects. all parameters can be accessed via midi and the touchosc app through either the convenient usb jack or the multifunctional ctrl 1/4" trs jack, which also enables external control from expression pedal, remote switch, or control voltage. particle 2 is pedalboard-friendly with all of the jacks—stereo input and output—located on top and has a surprisingly compact form factor, making it equally at home in your signal chain and modular setups. with almost too many features to list, an intuitive interface, and extremely powerful sound-mangling capabilities, the usa-made particle 2 granular delay and pitch-shifter pedal is a versatile and user-friendly stompbox, and an adventurous multifaceted sound-creation tool.

Great little mixer for my acoustic pedalboard. When busking or doing open mics where there’s not always time to set up 3 outputs from my board ( output from guitar, output from OC5 and output from SY1) this little mixer gives me a single output with levels set up. If we’re busking I use a Bose S1 which has 2 inputs we use for mics and the aux input for the Red Panda mixer. Also used it for parallel routing of effects. It’s a great little mixer, not cheap by any means, but it’s certainly the best one that’ll run off 9v Rockboard battery power supplyReviewed by Andertons Music Co.
5. Red Panda Raster 2 Digital Delay Pedal
Product Details:
The raster is a digital delay with a pitch and frequency shifter integrated into the feedback loop. forward or reverse delay can be shifted once or have continuously shifted repeats. it delivers a wide range of sounds including modulated and harmonized delays, reverse delays, chorus, arpeggios, infinite descents, chaotic self-oscillation, and continuously evolving soundscapes. the core of the raster is a clean delay with up to 1600 milliseconds of delay time. three delay ranges allow you to precisely dial in resonant feedback sounds and instantly change delay time with rhythmic shifts. the feedback control has infinite repeats at 3 o’clock and chaotic, textured feedback loops at higher levels. knob responses are carefully tuned for exploration of self-oscillation and feedback on the verge of blowing up. a tone control sweeps from dark analog-style repeats to digital clarity and emphasizes the attack at higher settings. the left and right delay times can be set as a ratio, so a single knob changes both in sync. the two delay channels can be arranged in series, parallel or ping pong. pitch shifting repeats up or down in semitone steps creates tempo-synced arpeggios and alien organ sounds. the detune setting can dial in micro pitch shifts and chorused repeats. the left and right channels can be shifted by the same amount, a ratio, or opposite directions. at subtle settings, repeats evolve in a way that sounds natural, but different from analog delays. beyond pitch shifting, a combination phase/frequency shifter creates subtle evolving repeats, dissonant harmonies, and barber pole flanging. it can be pushed to extremes for ring modulation and inharmonic shifted delays that distort and break apart. the raster’s modulation section has seven waveforms that can be assigned to delay time, pitch shift, or amplitude (for tremolo).

6. Tc Electronic Mini Spark Booster Guitar Pedal
Product Details:
A tiny pedal with a loud bark, the tc electronic spark mini booster can provide up to 20db of clean boosted power. whether you want to kick it on periodically for some extra punch or leave it on all the time as a tone booster the spark mini can prove useful in many playing situations regardless of genre. because of its diminutive footprint the spark mini can be easily placed in any open space on your board. if you want to add more gain to your sound put the spark mini at the beginning of your signal chain to drive your pedals and amp harder. some guitarists have an always on boost in this configuration to impart some grit on their tone. if you want to just boost your overall volume stick the spark mini at the end of your signal chain either after all of your pedals or in your amp's effects loop. should you for whatever reason want to disengage the spark mini the true bypass switching ensures that the circuitry in the pedal won't affect your tone while disengaged.

Reviews:
I wanted a button to make me louder for solos etc. and this does exactly that without changing tone. Brilliantly simple: set how much volume jump you want and that’s it, I don’t think I have had the dial past 25% so far. The ‘latching’ function of the foot switch is a great idea. Great price as wellReviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Initially intended to buy an Xotic EP Booster because I wanted to try the Echoplex thing out, but saw this little guy and figured…why not? I like it so much, I don't see the point in ordering the EP Booster anymore! Hits the front end of my Soldano in a way no overdrive has yet, and with no noise. Works equally well in front of my OCD pedal for a lead boost. And to all the people whining about the switch not clicking…whatever. I like that about the TC stuff and wish all pedal companies would make their switches "clickless". Great value, just buy it already! Thanks TC and Sweetwater!
This pedal does exactly what it claims and does it better than other pedals of the same purpose. It is constructed extremely well. For around $50 this pedal's physical casing and switch assembly is made better than pedals I own costing hundreds of dollars more. I don't foresee this pedal ever needing replacement or repair. I'm not particularly fond of the "momentary volume boost" feature but that doesn't change my overall opinion. It's a great item.ethan1957
7. Red Panda Bitmap 2
Product Details:
The bitmap is a bitcrusher with fractional bit reduction and sample rate modulation. the bitmap 2 adds waveshaping, wavefolding, and a window comparator for extreme digital distortion. a drive control handles everything from single coil guitars to synthesizers, with +8 dbu maximum signal level and enough gain to sound like an overdriven mixer channel. modulation and envelope control create dynamic, responsive distortion and digital artifacts. the bitmap 2 is tuned to provide maximum sustain without sputtering on staccato notes. less extreme settings add layers of nonlinearities that interact in subtle ways, giving you the warmth and grit of 8- and 12-bit samplers. sample rate reduction turns your guitar into 8-bit video game sounds or twists scales into inharmonic melodies. sample rate modulation adds subtle motion or morphs your guitar into entirely new textures.

8. Red Panda – Bitmap – Bitcrusher
Product Details:
Red panda says: the bitmap is a bitcrusher with fractional bit reduction and sample rate modulation. adds the warmth and grit of classic samplers, while reducing your signal from 24 bits down to 1 bit. our bitcrushing algorithm delivers maximum sustain without sputtering on staccato notes. fractional bit reduction provides smooth changes and a broader range of sounds. input and output gain controls work with all input signals and give you saturated distortion or dying battery fuzz sounds. sample rate reduction creates inharmonic overtones and aliasing distortion. subtle reduction adds sizzle to drums and high-end buzz to guitars. use extreme settings for 8-bit video game sounds. tune to the root or 5th to twist scales into inharmonic melodies. it can also do sample-and-hold sounds to cover "analog bitcrusher" territory.

9. Keeley Red Dirt Mini Overdrive Pedal
Product Details:
Robert keeley's mods to ts overdrive pedals were wildly popular and enjoyed by some of the greatest guitarists in the world. keeley's mods allowed the ts to have higher gain, be cleaner when turned down, have greater bass response and greater tone control. keeley took these mods and put them into a standalone pedal, the red dirt, and now the red dirt mini! the red dirt overdrive became an instant success with its ability to be used as a standalone drive or as a boost to suit your setup how you like. this mini pedal model is now even easier to fit into your already existing rig. it retains the same low gain settings from the original but at a much lower price.brilliant controlthe red dirt mini has the same gain, level and tone controls that are on its big brother the regular red dirt. the only thing missing is the lo/hi switch which most people kept in the lo position anyway thanks to its beautiful midrange boosting ability. this makes the pedal a great small form booster for when you really need to be heard on stage.the red dirt mini features two internal dip switches allowing you to switch between four different modes, each giving you a different dynamics and levels of drive. the four modes are: distortion, overdrive, crunch, and amp. distortion is the highest gain setting, far exceeding normal ts-levels and then you get clearer, more open sounds as you progress through overdrive, crunch, and amp modes.

Reviews:
This review is for the Keely Red Dirt overdrive pedal. I really like this pedal a lot. I am 65 and I've been collecting pedals for many years. I currently own 26 overdrive pedals. Everything from old to new….from tube based to sold state and mixtures of both. This is one of the better ones…especially for the price. I believe most people will be happy with this pedal. Its very responsive, very adjustable, very predictable and sounds very good (to me). It falls somewhere between a Bogner Lagrange and a Zvex Box of Rock in my opinion. Also similar to a Pettyjohn Chime. Excellent pedal for the money. Gitchyawon….you'll like it.Old Fart
I've searched high and low for the best 808 style overdrive. Ibanez, Maxon, JHS, Analogman, Fulltone, the list is endless in terms of all of the companies out there that claim to make the best 808/TubeScreamer available. Adjustable mid range, sub-miniature tube boost, 9 vs. 18 volts, mid range control, low boost/clipping switch, the options are immense and I don't have it in me to buy all of them, only to find out most of them aren't worth my time or my money, so I went with the name that is synomous with not taking away, but adding to the sound and greatness of the best and most user-friendly overdrive in the world, the 808. I initially got in touch with Keeley to mod my 808, but I figured, between shipping my Maxon OD808 twice, true-bypass switching, doing two mods, and hoping for the best, why not buy the Red Dirt for that price? It IS the OD808, but better, with the Plus/Baked mods built in, built of the best components available, with true bypass switching. I went for it, and I love it. I'll run it with everything, boosting low wattage blues amps, or adding amazing gain to a big master volume tube amp, and lastly, using it as a clean boost in front of a 100 watt high gain head for a tight, dynamic, and articulate high gain distortion. It does it all, it does it better, all while not sucking the low end, and boosting the mid range of your tone to unbearable levels. It also gives you the perfect amount of compression. Go with Keeley. I bought my pedal straight from the company via e-mail…Initially the Katana upon their recommendation for a clean boost…When it didn't work for what I was doing, they told me, no problem, send it back, we'll get you what you initially inquired about, the Red Dirt, and I haven't looking back. I run two in my rig with my Soldano SLO-100. One (always on) as a clean boost in the Baked position, one after that as a solo boost in the Plus position…Ridiculous. Get it.KSAV

With 100 pre-configured "factory" effects, and user-editable copies of each or them, you have a huge variety of sounds and uses. Even though I don't like some of the extreme distortion effects, some users may love them. For me, I just use the ones I like. I downloaded the full PDF manual from digitech's web site, and then made a copy of the page having the list of effects. I marked the ones I liked, and I keep it in my music folder with my chord sheets and lead sheets. I have about 25 favorites, and I can quickly switch between them with the pedal buttons.Jack Number 30
Versatile device. If you're new to the game this should take you through the intermediate level. Combine with a Looper, a function it does not have, and you're a Rock Star. An added useful function is, with headphones plugged in, you don't need a amplifier. It acts as, and can simulate, many classic amplifiers. Great if you're away from home and don't want to lug along your practice amp. Even has an "Acoustic Guitar Simulator". Suggest you check out the User's Manual on the Digitech website. Great device.Bruce S
This compared to a G1xon is absolutely miles AWAY. I have used the G1xon and the only thing that sucks on the it is the Pitch Shifting effect which why I bought this pedal in the first place. That is it. In comparison, The DEXP is simpler to edit because it has one parameter (ala-G1 or G1x) to alter while the G1xon has 3-7 more parameters. The G1xon has a decent looper, has a large screen and seems to not suck the tone but enhance it in a way I could not explain while DEXP has an unbearable tone suck to it (you will lose all your bottom end and some mid freq). Sound wise, the DEXP has some useable effects such as the Od, TS and DS, and the Jc, Rec sim but thats it. The Zoom can provide you with a myriad effects and parameters to play with. I just cannot believe that this product looks like a step down from Digitech. Again, I bought this just for the Whammy experience. Unless you are not keen to the Whammy effect then the G1xon can give you more than you bargained for.

15. Nux Ngs-6 Amp Academy Stomp Box Amp Modeler Guitar Effects Pedal
Product Details:
The nux amp academy is a world-class amp modeler. nowadays the amp-less approach is quickly bing a trend for modern musicians, such as guitarists who appreciate a variety of pedals and amps, but don’t have the luxury of a roadie crew to lug all of them around. amp academy inherits the nux tsac-2k (white-box amp modeling) algorithm which delivers the sound and feel of world-class tube amplifiers in a super-portable stomp-box enclosure. and, its huge headroom and dynamic range is a pedal friendly platform.amp academy also features six legendary amp models like vintage (fender twin reverb), classic (fender vibro king), modern (mesa boogie mark i), brown (friedman hbe), red (mesa boogie dual rectifier) and iridium (bogner uberschall). the iconic tsac-2k amp modeling offers a realistic amp feeling with fast playability response. for home studio and silent practice, amp academy’s usb audio stream makes it the swiss army knife of interface capability. connect the usb to pc to record tracks, run plug-ins and even livestream with amp academy.
Reviews:
It arrived a few days ago from MF. I want to highlight what I like about it without repeating the contents of its manual. Bottom line, for my usage replacing a Fender black panel Deluxe, a spring reverb, and a Tube Screamer, it is excellent. I am using the Vibro King amp model for most of my tweaking, but I also set up the Twin Reverb (super clean), Super Reverb, and Marshall JCM800 (crunch even with the guitar volume relatively low). The Twin model would not distort without a boost included in the "scene" even with my guitar and the model volumes at 10. That was the one anomaly from my expectations. I like the Vibro King model, amplified by my QSC CP8 (on the floor, on its side, backside EQ set to floor monitor), and do not prefer my now sold Tone Master Deluxe. The first thing I did was download the 2022-10-31 Firmware update and install it. Instructions to put the pedal in "DFU" mode to accept the update were missing. A YouTube video found via Google explained to hold both foot switches while powering up. Next, I installed the main NuX App for my Mac. I disabled the third "scene" such that the "scene foot switch" becomes a "scene" toggle (one cleaner, one with the Tube Screamer engaged, both with spring reverb). I then went through the amp models I planned to use (two "scenes" each, which must be done individually) and set all the controls to 12 o'clock. I tweaked the amp, spring reverb, and Tube Screamer to taste. I now have three ways to boost for an overdriven solo starting with the Vibro King as my clean base: turn up the guitar, foot switch to the Tube Screamer "scene", or foot switch to the JCM800 amp model. I explain all this detail because it took about an hour and without this work the pedal is disappointing. The software was almost easy enough to use without the nonexistent manuals (to do it again it would take much less time). Once done, everything can be adjusted via the knobs and optionally saved with the left foot switch. No menus to navigate at a gig. You can see in the pictures that it is quite small (Tube Screamer for reference), weighs exactly 1 lb. (less than that Tube Screamer), and draws only 3 watts. Leaving it run over night only gets it to room temperature. My old HX Stomp would have been hot to the touch and required a 20-watt power supply. Is it a Universal Audio quality Twin Reverb, Super Reverb, JCM800, or Vibro King modeler? Impossible for me to know. But for what I want, a classic black panel 60s Fender amp tone, spring reverb, and foot switchable Tube Screamer, it is a complete solution in a small package. No aspect of IO is missing (XLR, USB-C, ¼", 3.5mm, MIDI over USB). It also has an effects loop, graphic EQ, all the usual reverb types, 1024 IR loader, a selection of boost/overdrive/compression pedal models, and a noise gate which I've not tried. If one of the amp models is acceptably flat response you could use its 1024 IR loader, reverb collection, and compressor collection for your acoustic guitar too. Wow! What's missing? For my usage a master volume not associated or saved with an amp model "scene" would be nice. It does make a click when switching amp models or "scenes". Sometimes when switching amp models there is a noticeable delay.Jon

Mint condition! back in the 1980s, a certain rodent-based distortion pedal was ubiquitous every hard rock guitarist worth their salt had one of these stompboxes parked in front of their amp. the ratsbane is wampler's interpretation of this much-loved circuit. like the effects pedal that inspired it, the ratsbane is incredibly flexible. everything from subtle overdrive to metal-ready high gain and fuzz-filled anarchy is well within its capabilities. that said, true pedal aficionados know that brian wampler doesn't construct mere clones. accordingly, his ratsbane includes a 3-stage gain switch and two voicing options, in addition to the expected distortion, volume, and filter controls. what's more, the ratsbane's tl071 op-amp delivers a sound much like a vintage lm308-based unit, but with a warmer lower-gain tone. the end result is a praiseworthy update of a timeless distortion stompbox that blues players, arena rockers, and metalheads alike will appreciate.
Reviews:
Always surprised by these mini pedals when I take them out of the box, how do they fit it all in???? Despite its size the Ratsbane has an incredible amount of gain available, the different voicings allow you to dial in mild amp-like distortion through to insane sizzling fuzz as well as some great classic metal tones. I've been thinking of picking one of these up for ages and it was well worth the wait, nice one Mr Wampler!!!Jason B.
There's a reason this pedal is known as the King of Distortion. Brian Wampler does it again by packing an all-in-one and fully dynamic overdrive/distortion pedal and basing it on a "rodent" type pedal first brought out in the '80's. This pedal is perfect for everything from big 90's lead tones to subtle crunch overdrive tones and everything in-between.
