I bought this as a Stupid Deal of the Day. I wasn't expecting great quality — just a serviceable instrument. Alas, even there I was disappointed. There were minor annoyances like absolutely no documentation — no manual in the box; no manual on-line; nothing. I still don't know what the little allen wrench that came with it is for. When I picked up one of the legs it fell apart. There is a press-to-fit collar that holds the screw which allows adjusting the length of the leg. It wasn't actually pressed onto the shaft it was supposed to be attached to. A little brute force (before I attached the leg) solved that one. The real problem, however, came when I managed to assemble it anyway in spite of these minor glitches. Within moments of me setting it up on it's legs, one of the legs fell off. Actually the metal plate into which the leg screwed fell off. Luckily I still had all the packing material because I hadn't actually managed to completely unpack it. I called Musicians Friend. They were very helpful and immediately sent a RMA and a return label. Back it went.Bill, W.
Excellent product, I found it to hold tune and appears fairly sturdy. Strings are adequate for practice will experiment with others later, but not bad. I ran this through my Fender Deluxe reverb and found very little hum. Practically none and this surprised me as it is a single coil pickup. My only grip is the legs, I could not even get them to screw in, but then I didn't plan to use them in the first place, this instrument is best in your lap. The legs will come in handy if there is a noisy cat in the alley, or I need something to sink a boat (they are fairly heavy and seem decent, except, they are impossible to screw into the dang guitar!) Overall I would highly recommend as a first lap steel for sure.Mike
I've played electric/acoustic/bass for over 25 years, but got curious to try a lap steel because I've always loved the sound; I know what a quality instrument should feel like, and this definitely met or exceeded my expectations. I tuned up to C6 easily, and the single-coil pickup gives a nice bright tone that is consistent in volume from string-to-string. I haven't noticed any hum from the pickup at normal practice volume, and no grounding problems. I expect I'll change the strings soon, but that's a personal preference. A few people mentioned tuning problems; the tuners aren't the best, but I'd suggest pulling on each string when you first get it, to get any extra slack out of them. After that, mine holds tune perfectly fine. It packs up really neatly in the included gig bag, which does hold the detachable legs as well. The gig bag doesn't have much padding, but should be perfectly fine for storing the guitar when not in use. If you need to gig with the instrument professionally, I'd suggest getting something more solid, but this is a fantastic option for someone looking to learn on, or for studio use where you're looking for some different tones.Sam A

4. Earthquaker Devices Spatial Delivery Envelope Filter V2
Product Details:
The sea machine is a chorus pedal with as many modulation possibilities as there are fish in the ocean. that s a lot of fish. and a lot of modulation. from subtle, shimmery chorus sounds, to wobbly, seasick, warbly pitch-bent detuning that rocks the boat, the sea machine is the audio bait that ll help you reel in the big one.the sea machine ain t no one-trick seahorse. with a mix of standard and unique controls, everything from subtle warble, classic leslie, seasick pitch bends, strangled alien sounds, stunted arpeggiations and many more far out sounds are available. or you could just use it as a chorus. that works, too. oh, and if you re a bass player who fancies themselves a fan of the classic 80s post-punk bass sound, the sea machine is pretty much just like (tone) heaven.
Specifications:
Reviews:
The Spatial Delivery has been one of the best pedal purchases I've ever made. I love the filtering & auto-wah sounds; getting Jerry Garcia-esque bubbling lead tones and skanky Wah rhythms is no problem. However the reason I wanted this pedal so much is it's sample & hold mode. The Who's "Relay" has been one of my favorite songs ever. That spikey, rhythmic distorted guitar sound made by an electric guitar patched through Townshend's ARP 2600 synthesizer's S&H input has always been one of my favorite guitar bits. The sound is just so cool. Having a pedal on my board that gives me that pulsing S&H sound is unreal. The fact that the V2 has a momentary stomp switch that allows for quick in & out bursts of the S&H is genius. Highly recommended.
5. Jhs Emperor V2 Chorus Vibrato Pedal
Product Details:
The jhs effect pedals – emperor v2 chorus is a worthy update to the all analog original. featuring a switchable all analog chorus and an all analog true pitch vibrato in one pedal, the emperor brings rich, creamy tones to your board. the 3207 chipset bucket brigade chorus locks down that classic vintage chorus sound, while the true pitch vibrato sounds reminiscent of the classic boss vb-2. three selectable waveforms allow you to flip to that perfect sound, along with depth controls to dial in the intensity of the effect and a speed knob to control the rate. built-in tap tempo provides an alternative to the speed knob along with a an expression effects input for using an external controller. a few hidden features are included with a stereo output jack enabled by using a trs splitter, along with an internal switch to change the pedal from buffered to true-bypass operation.

Reviews:
The JHS Emperor is by all means a fine chorus/vibrato pedal that should satisfy most players. That being said, I personally found it to be a tad timid in the depth department and a little bit too much on the "dry" side. It is said to have been designed after the Arion SCH-1, revered in some corners as a studio secret weapon, one supposedly inspired by the Boss CE-2. Somehow, I fail at distinguishing the resemblance between the two, but that isn't necessarily an issue. Overall, the Emperor is a beautifully made pedal that is guaranteed to deliver. Worth noting is the stereo out (TRS) and the expression pedal input.mosel54
Great sound & feature set. Purchased to replace a modded Arion SCH-Z Chorus that was excessively noisy. Doesn't quite manage the same sound (it's more 'pristine'; the Arion has a darker very distinctive sound), but the improved build and features (including stereo out and overall versatility) mean that it is a more than worthy replacement.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Reviews:
A rather expensive one-trick pony, but boy oh boy what a trick! Yes it's mono, but it sounds fantastic and is really convincing in recreating the rotary speaker vibe including the 'movement' Plus it adds a really pleasing 'pre-amp' sound, touch & feel under the fingers to your tone – short of getting an actual rotary speaker set-up I don't think one can get closer. All contained in a standard sized 9V pedal board format that doesn't take up too much real estate on a crowded board – early days so can't comment on durability yet but seems robust enough, only time will tell. Yes it's expensive for 'one sound' but what a sound it is!Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
The Micro Vent takes the Ventilator magic and shoehorns it into a standard stompbox aimed at guitarists, so unlike the larger Ventilator models it's 9VDC and will fit onto any pedalboard. An edit mode uses the four knobs to access some useful hidden functions. It's mono in/out however there's some clever stuff going on that tricks your ears into thinking it's a real Leslie 122, I don't know how they do it but it lives up to all the hype and while it's expensive, the quality of the sound is more than worth it.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Excellent sound. Power requirements are a little excessive but the sound is worth itReviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Reviews:
Overall: Like someone else said, right now, this is my favorite. I'm quick to pick it up and play without plugging it in. Plugged in it has an awesome tonal range. Using in my DAW with LogicPro it's really easy to get quiet, noiseless tones but still the crunch and sting when you want. The neck fits my hand perfectly. Overall, the quality is what you would expect. One issue to be aware of. Could be my clumsiness, but I've noticed that small chips have developed on the bottom edge where it rests in my guitar stand. Stand has rubber over the prongs but I still I wish the finish was heavier or maybe clear coated somehow over the antique finish. All i all I would buy it again.
Been playing for 20 years and I've had my fair share of instruments. This guitar is a cut above many in its price point. USA built, solid construction and rings like a bell. No it's not a core model that looks fancy but, you get all the goods of a PRS. Pickups in this are not really suited for metal out of the box but, you can go old school and boost it and get that saturated goodness. But if your thing is rock, hard rock, blues, country etc this guitar will be awesome in your arsenal. I was scared that the neck would be thin but when I opened the bag and grabbed the guitar, I was greeted with a full neck that fits like glove in my hand. Thin necks aren't my thing and never have been. However says you need a slim neck to play fast is wrong it only makes it a bit easier for some hand types. Bottom line, great guitar, great sound and amazing build quality. Grab one!Brian B
I had 10 guitars of varying build quality prior to buying this PRS. Everything from high end squires to Mexican Fenders and USA G&Ls. This guitar blew me away. The fit and finish are superb. Every tone is usable, it's resonant, it looks and plays like a dream. I ended up selling all but one G&L v12 and this Vela. Then I bought a few "key guitars" that I knew I'd like to have in the long run based on previously owned instruments. I snagged a Pro II Strat, a G&L ASAT, and a Relish that I got on sale here at Sweetwater. I now have only five guitars, but I am thrilled with them all. This swap was all due to playing a truly great guitar, this Vela, and remembering that quality matters. If you love a guitar you'll play it more and enjoy the experience in a slightly different way. The Vela is my number one. It's fantastic. Light, great sounds from each pickup, and neck is a joy to play. Love it, and now I love them all. Thanks for the help Jason Filloramo.
9. Electro Harmonix Micro Q Tron Envelope Filter Pedal
Product Details:
This pedal has lived in my home studio for 3 years. i bought several wah pedals and this is the one i kept. now i am minimizing life and gear so this has to go. this is the best version of an envelope filter under $100 that i have found. comes in a non-original box.the electro-harmonix micro q-tron is an easy-to-use envelope filter pedal that'll have you feeling like the lord of funk. an internal envelope follower analyzes the volume and dynamics of your playing to sweep the center of the filter for a wah-like tone that changes as you play. three simple controls at the top of the pedal set the filter mode, the bandwidth of the filter, and the amount of drive going in. experiment with the funky vintage sounds of the micro q-tron and you'll never want it to leave your pedalboard.
Specifications:

Reviews:
A unique sound with a lot of tones to explore. It seems to have quite a lot of gain so can catch you by surprise sometimes when switching on without additional volume control – maybe this is because energy is channelled into the swept frequencies and it passes through a band that is particularly resonant for my setup/room space… Still I'd recommend additional volume control or a light touch!Timothy
Leslie simulation is a tricky thing because there's no way a pedal can reproduce the sound of a speaker spinning in the room (4 dimensional sound) but it can reproduce the sound of a miked Leslie as you would hear on a record. So I won't speak to how close this comes to a real Leslie. This thing is fun to play through both for the rotary effect, especially when using 2 amps (and for God's sake use a pair of tube amps), and for the compression/drive effects that are built it. It inspires a different playing style that I normally use which is also fun and can lead to better recording etc. The only thing I found to be a little strange is the brake, which really isn't a brake at all but is more like turning off the motor drive and letting it spin down at the rate set by the acceleration knob. It's not a flaw just different and if you want more control you can use an expression pedal. Something else that would have been nice would have been stereo inputs, I run the second half of my pedalboard in stereo and already have an Electric Mistress as my one mono to stereo pedal.ny4jb
It took me a while to get it tweaked in. I'm using a strat and tele (it didn't sound too great with humbuckers). I finally found a sweet spot in hi pass mode with drive at about 2 to 3 o'clock and Q at about 9 to 10 o'clock. Personally all other settings didn't work for me. It takes some practice to get the feel. G and B strings really pop but I have to hit the E string a bit harder on both guitars. It's a nice little pedal….be patient with it and play around with it. I play in clubs on weekends and it's working out well.Joe
10. Strandberg Boden Metal Nx 8 Black Granite
Product Details:
Looking to part with my gently used strandberg boden metal nx 8. it s a great guitar, i just really don t like fishman pickups all that much. the original moderns have been swapped out to the tosin abas set, but that really didn t helo me bind with it any better. overall the guitar is in mint shape except for a small imperfection around one of the mounting bolts, which i have pictured. comes with all the included accessories, case, and original shopping box. ideally i d like to trade for something that has passive pickups. i like the boden ergonomics, i just don t want to go through the hassle of upgrading the pickups and electronics that s not really designed for passive pickups. if you have something you d like to traded let me know!

Reviews:
This is my first strandberg guitar, purchased from GuitarGuitar in the UK. The service was exceptional, and they even helped me to set up the guitar before shipping it out to me. I'm new to the world of headless guitars, and I've always been a fan of S-style and T-style guitars, and I wasn't sure how I would adapt to the feel of the strandberg, especially the endurneck and the flat radius on the fretboard. That said, after reading lots of reviews on how strandbergs have helped people to be able to play for longer hours, I decided to take the plunge. It has now been about two weeks, and I will say that a strandberg is all that they say it is. It's incredibly light and ergonomic, and the endurneck really helps to promote good left hand placement. I can stand for hours and practice, and I don't feel that there's an ache in my left shoulder. Fit and finish was perfect, and the frets were polished very well. Bends are a breeze, and the low action makes it play like butter. The stock pickups are also amazingly versatile. It's a guitar that sounds and plays great right out of the box. Thanks again strandberg, and Sarah, for working together to make such a lovely instrument. I can see myself getting more strandbergs!Daniel
First, I have been waiting for this guitar for about 4 months. Going back to mid 2021, I had 13 guitars ( Gibson, Fender, Schecter, Ibanez, Music Man etc) but wanted to focus on getting better at the guitar and only have one great 6 and 7 string. When doing research on guitars. I came across Sarah’s music and the Strandberg guitar. Because I never played one I was a bit hesitant to get one based on the reviews compared to the actual guitar. I was shocked when I got my first Strandberg, which was the prog 6 it was just an overall amazing guitar. When this guitar became available a few weeks ago I was excited I could finally get the original Strandberg I wanted. As a result, I sold my prog 6 to get this specific model. Overall, this guitar is just amazing. The neck is smoother and more comfortable then any other guitar I ever owed or played. At first I was hesitant about the OEM pickups and figured I could just swap them out. But I am very pleased with them. They provide a great clean and/or distorted sound. So after adjusting my setting in my plug-ins I really love the way this guitar sounds. Again, overall I just love everything about this guitar and extremely happy I was able to finally get one.Cory Z.
The Boden 6 DR Titanium is a great all-around guitar. It’s very appropriate for almost all styles of play and is manufactured to a very high standard. This is my second Strandberg. I met Ola at the 2020 NAMM show (I had not heard of Strandberg and did not know who he was!). He took the time to introduce me to his line of guitars and why they were engineered differently. I found them extremely comfortable to play. I ordered one when I returned home from the show and was surprised to discover that my "salesman" at the NAMM booth was none other than THE man, lol. My first one was a Boden Prog 6 which I had refinished in a nice sunset burst by Adrian Moreno which made its way onto the Strandberg Instagram page recently. I am playing the Boden DR a lot now, as I tend to slightly prefer non-trem guitars. I find the DR and the Prog have very different sounds, probably due to the different pickups. The Prog 6 can emulate some great “strat”-type sounds as well as more traditional hum bucker sounds. The Boden DR sounds a bit more like a PRS than a Fender to me, but it’s really unique in its sound. Very warm and full sounding to my ear. Thanks Ola for taking me down the garden path and for making such great stuff. Now if I could just find somewhere that has a Prog 5 bass in stock…Randy B.

The secret path is a very must have pedal for any pedal board. Love how easy this pedal is to use and the reverbs that one can get from the pedal is simply amazing. Then just when you think this pedal has reach its full potential switch to TSP setting and get ready to elevate to sound to another level…The Secret Path should not be Secret!!!Ted
Sounds good through my rig, the plate and hall sound better to me but I'm used to the spring tank on one of my amps and the spring setting here is just an approximation of the real thing. The shimmer is nice but I'm not a fan of the other modulation effects may be because the edit feature in the 2nd mode is not intuative and requires some fiddling and guess work. Sturdy construction though I haven't opened it up to see internal quality. The switch is not the best I've ever used but adequate. I was surprised to find it was exactly the same footprint as a boss pedal so sat neatly in a cut out I already had on my pedal board. For the price and functions available in the unit i think it is worth the money, for something 'hand crafted' in the UK it's priced very competitively and once the shimmer is set right I thought it sounded awesome.Matt D.
First up, I bought this pedal at a local used music store, not at GC, but it seem only GC carries it, probably because it's a UK pedal and expensive to bring over. I compared this against a Boss RV-6 and chose this. Three reverb models, spring, plate, hall and they all sound amazing. The volume on this pedal is the first volume I've seen that actually affects the reverb effect and not the overall volume. The pre-delay knob turned up gives a more solid discreet echo sound, but still retains the ambience of reverb. I keep modulation/shimmer toned down, usually at 0 if I want only reverb or up to 5 for accent. It sits in front of the looper, but I'm getting the itch to place it behind to see how that effects the sound.Robert S.

14. Dunlop Gcb95 Cry Baby Wah Pedal
Product Details:
Reviews:
I use it for slap bass. Still the best, still American made!!! Great tone, heavy-solid build quality. Don't get the competitor's lightweight copy. You're gonna carry it a short distance from the vehicle to the gig. You don't want to chase it down sliding all over the stage. Sounds so good, makes me wanna Cry, Baby!J. Poncho Alonso
There's a reason why this hasn t changed much for over 40 years. It's a must and a mainstay for any pedal board. Extremely solid/ heavy. Note though if attaching to a pedal board. Feet has to stay on. If you remove the feet, it holds the bottom metal plate. If you remove the screws that hold the feet on and use them, they become too long and now the plate is loose. Fortunately my board had gaps that I was able to sink the feet into so the Velcro can catch onto the board. also the power input on the left is right under the output signal. Not the most ideal location when using an angled patch cable and trying to make your board look nice and neat.Rene
This is probably my 5th or 6th one. Not because they broke either. The original crybaby is my favorite wah because it doesnt have all the extras on it, it fits good on smaller pedal boards, can run on a 9 volt battery or adapter, and is just reliable. It does what it needs to do, plain and simple, built like a tank. Ive never had one break either, the only thing ive done is clean the pot if it gets noisyEvan

Reviews:
This is awesome Dinamic Reverb.. So many option and I love the tonesBRYAN
I was drawn to this reverb (and the Andromeda Delay also from Seymour Duncan) after watching several internet reviews, and wanting something a little different. What struck me about the Andromeda is how “right” the staple reverb sounds are (Plate/Spring/Room/Hall). The pedal is very knob-forward with a lot of ways to shape the reverb tails without menu diving. Dynamic expression likewise lets the color react to the input signal (great for piano sustained notes that fade out to a gritty smudge etc…). I think it lacks a bit in comparison to other pedals with the pitched effects (the infamous Shimmer) but it can certainly be used for vast ambient soundscapes. Should come with an AC adapter for the price. Be careful to buy one with a long enough tip.Brian
17. Old Blood Noise Endeavors – Procession Reverb
Product Details:
An update on the popular modulation noisemaker pedal. reflector v3 is a densely lush chorus coupled with three modes of modulation. this is a chorus with a bent, an ephemeral voice floating between aural dimensions. controls include rate and depth for the chorus/flanger/vibrato speed, mix for a balance between unaffected and affected signal and modulate to add pitch selection, reverb wash amount or flanger depth, depending on the mode. a three-way toggle switch allows the player to choose between wrinkle mode (a vibrato-esque warble chorus with the added option of pitch selection, meaning the modulate knob goes from one octave down to one octave up, with noon being close to pitch unity), washed mode (a simple lush chorus, modulate control adds in a wash of reverb pre chorus effect) or mirrors mode (detuned chorus meets flanger in which the modulate knob controls the depth of the flanger, while rate corresponds to both the flanger speed and the detuned chorus speed). the reflector v3 features an expression out jack and clickless switching. the output level can be tweaked via an internal trimpot for boost, slight drop, or unity gain. 9vdc – 2.1mm negative center pin adapter. 60 ma draw.

So much more than a reverb pedal. Love the flange and the trem effects.Trayne
Join the Procession! This is not your bog-standard reverb by a long shot. Coming with 4 different reverb modes this thing is a seriously diverse piece of kit capable of creating some mesmerising soundscapes. The tremolo setting adds a really nice panning feel to the reverb sound which can be adjusted with a rate control, this mode is excellent for getting sounds reminiscent of Godspeed You! Black Emperor and the likes. Whilst in tremolo mode, you can create just a natural, non-affected reverb by rolling off both the rate and depth which is a nice touch for when you don't need all the added bits. Flange mode runs it through a flanger which can give a very subtle flair to the reverb sound or go all out to an ethereal, echoing reverb similar to the likes of the Mr. Black Supermoon reverb. Filter mode is a very sci-fi sounding mode that I imagine could sound really cool with a sweeping effect with an expression pedal plugged into the expression out on this pedal. The freeze function is also a lot of fun, especially when freezing in the tremolo setting and messing with the rate. Definitely recommend this pedal as it's so much fun but most importantly very usable and diverse. Good reverb doesn't come cheap but this thing is worth every penny.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Reviews:
Decent enough reverb pedal. It just isn't in the same league as the Boss FRV-1 or the Catalinbread Topanga. If your after a 60s surf sound It just doesn't cut it. However like the soundclips in the official videos then get it, I got one tried for a week and returned it. For 50 its a good price but wish they had made a reverb that had a surf sound. 2 other issues it has a small click when you switch it on and there is a distinct loss of volume from clean.pro-acoustic
Well priced and effective, perhaps a little tame compared to a Fender Blues Junior etcReviewed by Andertons Music Co.
