I've been searching and searching trying to find this tuner available and everywhere you turn its on backorder or out of stock. I was lucky enough to find one on ebay last week and it came in 3 business days. I paid ten extra for shipping but hey it was worth it. So far this tuner fits perfectly for what it was meant to do. Ive read alot of people complain about it being plastic, but if you think about it, the purpose of a rack is to protect your gear. So it shouldnt matter if its placstic or not, as long as your not choke-slamming your rack, it'll hold up just fine. The display is super bright and visible. I like the display options, vary for individual's taste. It recognizes quick, is very accurate. I give it a 5 out of 5. The blue lights look great coming from the all black unit. No complaints on this. I run my guitar through input, then output, then to my amp. I have a footswitch hooked up to mute it for silent tuning. Functions perfect, no loss in tone or anything. Don't listen to the elitests that call themselves tone purists. Just give it a try and find out what you lik efor yourself. Im very pleased with this product and I think you will be too if you can get your hands on one.BHargis
Pro's: It's light weight. Switches have a quality feel to them. It's very accurate. Completely agrees with my $900 Korg strobe tuner. Visually stunning. Very nice display. It grabs your attention. Easy to read in any light. Easy to tune with in any mode. Looks awesome on a stage. Cons: Worst set of rack ears I've ever seen. Cheap plastic and they break very easily. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. The unit itself is all plastic as well. Not as delicate as the ears are but still not too tough. Uses a wall wart for power. Needs to be turned on individually on start up. Opinion: As long as you mount it (carefully) in a rack that will protect it from getting banged around it should last pretty well. In a studio setting it would be just fine. But if you are hard on your equipment, spend twice as much and get something more durable.mycle812
The Korg pitch black is a solid does what it says rack tuner. Having three different strobe and lighting settings is an interesting thought. In practice, I've found myself using one setting for day to day quick tuning, and another for more precise work, such as intonation setting. Personally, I would prefer a faster strobe, especially if your setting up a guitar for recording. Having said that I'm used to a studio software tuner. All in all, it's a good looking piece of kit, well made, and seems to score very well in accuracy tests against other sometimes more expensive tuners. One small niggle I do have, is that it would have been nice to have a euro plug fitting and a built in transformer, rather than an adapter. That's probably not an issue for many, but if you have an extensive rack system running, the less power adapters and wall warts the better in the back of the rack. In conclusion, you get what you pay for and it does exactly what it says it's going to.guitar1uk

I agree with all comments. I took apart the tuner and I can see where the tension opened up the saddle (for a better word) where the tuning peg sits. I made a temporary fix by clamping down with a pair of vise grips on the upper and lower portion that holds the tuning peg until I by a better set . With that being said , I would advise to spend a few extra dollars to get ones that work, which is what I am doing after this post. Beware of the Pro Line Bass tuning machines !!!Steve-O
Bought a cheapo hofner violin bass on SDOTD and fell in love with it after changing strings and getting the hanging right when strapped on issues taken care of. (I own four basses including a MM stingray 5 but use this Hofner all the time now) Anyway I hated the guitar looking tuners that came stock, so I watched a couple of how to videos, bought these tuners, installed them my self, and am Extremely Happy with the Look. I had to drill out the original holes with 3/8 bit to install these and drill the front out again a 1/2" with 1/2 bit for the bushing to push in. Even at this very low price, avoid this product. I can even claim: "avoid it as any cost". This does not do the job! first, the tuner is … out of tune. so you'll need an extra tuner to recalibrate it, hoping it won't lose the preset or decides one day to go back to the standard 440 Hz. And no, it's not an hidden option in one of those crazy menus that was badly selected… The only feature I end up using: it nicely lit your rack, at least until the LEDs decided to go on vacation one after the other. finally, this generation of products where the worst of Behringer: a truckload of features, of various usefulness, put together with a robot transformer design (some like it), a manual that says "you can do this and that" but rarely how, and pour construction. so, again, stay away at any cost.Thierry Schlagdenhauffen
