These are an amazing headset/amp. They look sound and feel much more expensive than the actual cost. It is great to be able to practice without having to get out my amp and trail cables across the floor. So I am writing this review after using it for a week straight and my conclusion is this: great sound for your buck. I've been reading some of these negative reviews and it's unbelievable that these reviews leave you thinking that this device should sound and act like a $500 amp but in all reality it is not. It's a practice amp used for those situations where noise level is an issue. It has great tones and great effects. Yes it's very limited, but you're not locked in to any one tone. Roll of on the gain and you have some Texas blues tones. As for the effects, they are good. Not the best, but good. If you're looking to jam out and practice your chops just get it. Don't listen to those negative reviews.
Seems as well built as the other options I've seen. Better tonal range than Vox and better than having to buy 2 or three devices. First impressions were not that good but as I've used it a bit more I can see me getting more used to it. I probably expected to much and was basing my hopes on the FLY amps. I think the effects are too limited to be worthwhile and would prefer Blackstar to focus on better amp tone. Still, I'm happy with it and for the type of device this is I know of nothing that sounds better. If I lost it I would probably look at the latest options but as it stands this is still the one I would buy. I think all of this type of device are over priced when you consider what a small amp costs but for portable practice in a small space it can't be beaten. Amazing bit of kit for the price! Clean, over drive and distortion channels in a small box the amps to headphones perfectly! Can’t really comment on the effects as not really tried them out! But if you need a tiny portable amp that connects to your headphone for practice i would throughly recommend! Just noticed it even has aux in so I can listen to my Fender tutors without having to have 2 different sets of headphones on the go!!! I recently a BOSS Katana Artist MkII amplifier (which I have reviewed elsewhere) and love it. However, it is somewhat of a pain to connect my phone and studio headphones to it to do a little nighttime jamming – both of those require cables, which makes setup and teardown enough pain that I don't want to do it. When I heard of the WAZA-AIR, I found it is almost exactly a Katana in convenient headphone shape. To be clear, I love this thing. It sounds good enough that I will play it and it is a snap to get started. I traded a Fender Mustang Micro for the WAZA-AIR, and the two are not even in the same ballpark. To be fair, the Mustang is about a third the price, so I'm not surprised, but if you are struggling to get a good sound from a Mustang – and if you have the cash – the WAZA-AIR is likely to do what you need. The software and firmware are…finicky at times. There are a few oddities that I can't explain that differ from the Katana software. For instance, it appears that I cannot use both a Booster and the Modulation at the same time. I don't get that. I can still connect a wireless MIDI controller to the WAZA-AIR, and that might open up more possibilities. It's also another investment, and I'm still trying to determine if being able to hit a pedal is worth it. Overall, I do recommend the WAZA-AIR. It sounds great, the convenience can't be beaten, and it is just very solid and feels right. There are a couple of strange parts that – so far – do not detract enough from the experience for me to try to change them. If you are reading this now, I recommend you give it a try. You'll probably be impressed.Robert
I have both the Waza Air Guitar and Waza Air Bass and like them both. The headphones are comfortable and it's great to be wireless. Like others have mentioned, I do lose the Bluetooth signal from the transmitter to the headphones every now and then, but it isn't too bad. The intermittent loss of Bluetooth is easy to compensate for by just unplugging the transmitter from the cable jack, on either the guitar or bass, and re-plugging it in. Each time, when I first start using them, I'm careful to put the headphones on my coffee table, turn them on, and let them stay still for a little while, as not to confuse the gyros. They mention letting them stay still for a short while in the online information, and it seems to work, as I have not noticed the drifting others have mentioned. I do sometimes get a brief bit of static, but this is mostly on the Waza Air Bass set, and was possibly or partially due to some fret buzz I had before I got a good set up on the bass. The static might also occur a little bit more when the Bass is in active mode rather than a passive Bass mode. The thing I love about the Waza Air's is the ability to practice at all hours and not make too much sound that would bothering my neighbor. I've used the Mustang Micro guitar headphone amp, which is great too, but I like the cordless operation of the Waza Air. The Waza Air Bass is probably one of the few good solutions for headphones to use with a bass, as there aren't many other options. The Waza Air Guitar is a great solution for guitar, and though there are other options for guitar, so far I like using the Waza Air Guitar better. Since I have both the Bass and Guitar versions of the Waza Air I also have a total of two charge cables to charge both the transmitter and headphones at the same time, which I like. I mark the different components with a piece of Artist tape so I don't mix up the Guitar and Bass versions. I also am careful to charge each of the headphones with the correct original cable for each one. You cannot use the unit and charge it at the same time however. The transmitter often needs no charging after one use and seems to charge very quickly. The headphones take a little longer to charge and do not have as many hours of operation per charge as the transmitter. They say the headphones get about 5 hours of use per charge and the transmitter about 12 hours of use per charge. That said, I have never depleted the charge on either unit during one usage. I use my older standard Apple iPhone chargers (cubes with the green dots that are USB A connections) to charge the units, as they say not to use a rapid charger. Overall, I think both the Waza Air guitar and Waza Air Bass are great and I'm very happy I have them. They are a bit pricy, but not too bad, if you consider that you are getting a transmitter, a receiver, and headphones all included. Your experience might vary but I'm glad I got them, think they are great, and love practicing whenever I want.
I am not sure, but I don't think anyone has ever invented this. It's just headphones that connect to your electric guitar wirelessly, right? In fact, I was just thinking of this, before I discovered these on Sam Ash – because i was sitting there, tangled in headphone wires, guitar cables, and I wondered – can't somebody do this wirelessly? So I did a search, and voi la! Here's the other thing – inside the phones, it sounds like outside the phones. In other words, these are not JUST wireless guitar headphones – they are wireless amplifier headphones. The one thing I don't like – and maybe someone knows the answer – but, the controls, through the app, are pretty limited. Or at least, it's not like a amp modeler, like Spark. But then, Spark is not like Amplitube – actually models hundreds of real amplifier setups – from the real world. Great sound and easy edit from the phone app. Built it drums for practice/warmup. Got this Amplug Blues today plugged it into my Strat and it sounds great! and I highly recommend it! Now is it perfect? the answer is the usual NO. I think it can be improved on as follows. 1. Put a little color on the dials… the plastic is all black and the plug can rotate to different orientations. Would really be nice to have the dials stand out better with different colors. 2. Change the AA batteries to USB rechargeable Lipo battery. No reason to burn batteries when you can recharge! 3. My main change request is to have Bluetooth Audio In because you plug in the Amplug and then connect headphones (great for practicing). But to add audio to jam to you need to connect another cable to the Aux jack. So for me it just get's to be too much. Since nearly everyone has a smart phone it would be great to use Bluetooth for the Audio In so you can wirelessly play jam track and stuff without needing the 2nd cable. I regret, that I was mistaken in my previous review. I had claimed that the sound was great – but, that some functions were missing, after about a month of use. That is not true. I re-read the slightly, confusing, manual. The unit itself is – slightly, confusing* – but, it does work the way it is supposed to. In fact, you have a serious selection of effects – at least, three levels, of each one of, three effects – far more than other units in this category of headphone amplifier. The sound is incredible – the thing's got, big, b*alls! – and that, in itself, is worth five stars. Amazing job!

Firstly, the sound is heavily determined by your pickups and what headphones you use. I use this to practice in the mornings when it's too early to use my valve amplifier. I play mostly metal and shred. I have used this device with a range of guitars. The one I use most is equipped with an EMG85 and an EMG60. Active pickups through this device results in a significant amplification of unwanted string noise, when using the high gain setting. For me, this is positive – it teaches me to slow down and focus on proper technique. If you dial back the gain, this "issue" goes away. The built in effects also sound very good. The only thing I would change is the sensitivity of the volume knob. 3 is already loud enough, and 10 is deafening. If you accidentally knock the wheel, you're going to hurt your ears. Keep in mind, the positive Star ratings above are based on price: For the money it is a very good piece of equipment. Yes, it is made of a thin plastic, but as long as you aren't careless with it, that should not be an issue. The battery life could be better: I get around 14 hours out of it, maybe shorter. This is with no effects. I have replaced the provided batteries with Duracell now, so this may increase. If they had a more expensive version with more rugged materials, I would buy it without hesitation

What a great sounding mini amp. I've had to use headphone mini amps for the last 15 years due to time constraints and location of practice area. I didn't want to use the precious practice time I had just to set up full size amp for only an hour or so and then return everything back to storage area. It was so much simpler and convenient just to plug a mini amp into my guitar, put on head set and play. Down side was always the quality of the mini amps I was using. I was getting them for around half of what a vox cost.. I always wanted a vox but they were expensive. After joining mf rewards club and making several purchases I bought my vox for about half price by applying my points to the purchase. I should have never waited. This vox is 10 times better than the cheaper brands. As soon as I opened the packaging and held it in my hand I could feel the quality. When I first plugged it in and started playing I got really upset. Not at the mini amp but at myself for waiting so long. I highly recommend buying this mini amp. Trust me. I have enjoyed playing with this headphone amp quite a bit. It is lightweight, has a lot of features for the price and is easy to use. The one set back I have experienced, is that the plug in jack does not lock in a position, it has loosened with use. I can reccomend this type of amp for anyone who wants to practice with volume and effects that should not disturb others. I will likely purchase other styles of this headphone amp in the future.
Cannot praise this device highly enough. It sounds great, and is ridiculously versatile for such a small device, comprising not only Gain, Tone and Volume controls, together with three levels each of effects options Chorus, Delay and Reverb, but also Clean, Crunch and Lead. Two AAA batteries are required (included), and give hours of usage. Just plug it into your guitar, attach headphones (decent pair of over-ear type are best, but don't need to be expensive) and, if wishing to practice over a track by your favourite band, simply attach an appropriate device such as a tablet or 'phone. If you require to free your amPlug2 sound from the confines of headphones, Vox also offer a mini, 2 watt, amPlug2 amp/speaker to which you attach your amPlug2 and play out loud (but not loud enough to annoy the neighbours. The wonderful Vox 50 watt amp/cab stack Mini Superbeetle Audio blue tooth speaker also doubles as a guitar amp, complete with amPlug2 compatibility, but at full volume, this would definitely annoy the next door neighbours, and possibly those further afield. The amPlug has given me new found freedom to play and practice without needing to wait for opportunities where it can be done without audibly intruding on the personal space of others in the household. I have subsequently invested in the equally good Classic Rock amPlug2 (and which, on balance, I prefer), together with both the aforementioned Vox Mini amPlug2 cab/speaker and Superbeetle Audio blue tooth amp/speaker stack. Basically, the freedom afforded by the amPlug2 headphone amp has reinvigorated my love of guitar playing, and I try to squeeze in some practice time on a daily basis. I’m actually impressed with these kid headphones. After getting tired of listening to cocomelon on full volume on my kid’s tablet, I knew I needed to get them some headphones so I can regain some of my sanity. My kids are pros on getting cords tangled so I knew wireless is a must. These JLABS are both wireless and wired. The battery life is phenomenal and if you do run out of power during the middle of a road trip, simply plug in the 3.5mm provided cord and your kids can still listen to their favorite shows without bugging everyone in the car. The 3.5mm port can also work as a daisy-chain so your 2nd kid can also listen in on the same content if you plug in wired headphones to the JLAB while the JLAB are running on Bluetooth. The decibel limiting switch is a real parent pleaser knowing that I can limit the max dB on the headphones. Super cool feature that should easily place this near the top of people’s lists. Some things to note and things that JLAB could improve on are: *Decibel limiting switch is backwards in the manual and shown correct on their website *No battery indicator but there is a voice prompt for battery status *Auto shut off is 10m if no Bluetooth connection. Doesn’t work with my kid’s fire HD tablet because the screen may be off but the Bluetooth stays connected and doesn’t allow the headphones to sleep. *Wished the on/off had it’s own separate switch or button. Too long of a press goes into Bluetooth paring mode. These headphones sound surprisingly good for the price. If you need a set of headphones for a young kid, then the JLab Buddies is the way to go. I wanted to get these for my almost 8 year old daughter because I wanted her to have a wireless set. That's because she has already had the wired version of these JLab Buddies Over Ear headphones for over a year now and she loves them! Before the JLab Buddies, we tried several other headphones and she complained about every one. Not so with the JLab. They fit her comfortably and sound great. She even uses them for school. She was excited to try these out and not be tethered to a device. These bluetooth headphones easily connected to her devices and sounded great. Now she keeps these bluetooth JLab headphones at home and her wired JLab Buddies now live in her desk at her school. Now we all know that sometimes bluetooth devices get disconnected, or the device has a driver issue and can't find it. When that happens it's usually an easy fix for adults and older kids, but some younger kids may not be as good with computers yet. It's already happened with my daughter. But even though these are bluetooth, they still come with an audio cable that you can use to make them wired, and that's easy enough for a kid to understand. So the other day when my daughter's device disabled bluetooth for some reason, instead of screaming "MOM!" or "DAD!", she just grabbed the cable, plugged it in and kept on using these headphones until I came in later to fix the device. The decibel limit switch is nice too for making sure the sound can't be turned up so high that it can hurt their ears. My daughter still doesn't even know that switch exists, not on these new bluetooth Buddies and not even on the wired version she's had for over a year which also have the hidden switch. Even on the higher setting it limits the sound to a comfortable level. The lower setting is almost too low, but better for really young kids. I also like the audio sharing feature, although I haven't really had a reason to use it yet, but it's cool knowing it's there. Basically both sides have an audio input that you use when you want to go wired. But you can also plug in another set of headphones so that someone else could listen to the same thing, and with 2 inputs, you can still use it wired and have a second input for sharing. The second set of headphones doesn't even have to be the same JLab, they can be any headphones with the standard audio plug. I'd imagine this is a great feature for people with multiple kids riding in the back seat during a road trip. This is a nice pair of Over-Ear headphones for kids. I'll share my personal review of the headphones and my 10 yr old son's as well. Personally, I like them, especially at this price point. The earphones are a comfortable fit for my ears, but it is a little tight on my adult head. Setup was incredibly easy with bluetooth. Very intuitive. I didn't even need to review the instructions, which I think should be the expectation when it comes to bluetooth technology. I was able to easily adjust the length to reach my ears so they worked ok for my adult head. Audio was mostly good for me. The sound wasn't as clear as I would have hoped. I almost didn't notice it until I listened to a couple different ads and realized it seemed to always be somewhere in the background. The volume went up/down just fine. I've found this is hit or miss with some child earphones, but I was happy with the volume experience with this headset. My son's review: He didn't like the wire adjustments on the earpieces. For some reason that was uncomfortable for him. He also felt that the earphones were a little too tight for his head. He experienced some challenges with the audio jack. When connected with the wire to his laptop, moving in the headset caused the audio jack to shift and interrupted the audio or make the sound a little fuzzy. This was frequent enough that he said he would never use these earphones. I tried this with my personal laptop and it was only super audible to me when I twisted the audio jack itself and then I experienced the same thing he did. I wouldn't expect that to be happening super frequently, but depending on whether your child is using these with the wire or bluetooth and how much they move when connected with the wire, this might not be the right headset for your child. The audio fuzziness I sometimes heard in the background may have also be a contributor to his review. Color was great – I love the blue/black combination. Overall, I didn't notice a huge difference between this pair and cheaper pairs of earphones. I'd prefer to either pay more and get a better set or pay less and get a comparable pair that might just not carry a name brand like JLab. They weren't bad, but could have been better.DakotaDan

What a great sounding mini amp. I've had to use headphone mini amps for the last 15 years due to time constraints and location of practice area. I didn't want to use the precious practice time I had just to set up full size amp for only an hour or so and then return everything back to storage area. It was so much simpler and convenient just to plug a mini amp into my guitar, put on head set and play. Down side was always the quality of the mini amps I was using. The Shokz OpenRun Pro! Pretty good pair of headphones for anyone that isn't into noise-cancelling headphones and wants to also hear ambient noise. Having owned two other pairs, the AfterShokz Aeropex & Aeropex Mini, I definitely love the OpenRun Pro headphones. When it comes to audio quality, it isn't audiophile grade like my Audio-Technica R70x open back cans. However, sound quality is very good and comes through easily in low noise environments. If you are outdoors or in noisier environments, you'll have to bump the volume a bit higher. One thing I loved about the OpenRun Pro vs the Aeropex & Aeropex Mini is that when listening at higher volumes, the OpenRun Pros produces less haptic vibrations and isn't as hard on my tragus (outer ear), meanwhile the quality isn't sacrificed. Battery life is great, and I got quite close to the 10 hours listed. Standby time is also great, as I was able to go 2 days listening to ~4.5 hours of music each day. Wearing these while being active is no issue. I've worn these while playing tennis and running, and they stay in place very well. The fit on the OpenRun Pro is also quite nice, and I didn't have to stretch them out on my yoga block like I did with my Aeropex & Aeropex Mini. The weight is also unnoticeable, and there wasn't any ear fatigue I experienced. I am able to wear these all day without having any issues regardless of what I'm doing. The only thing I would nag about is that the OpenRun Pros don't have next/previous controls. Having used Shokz/AfterShokz headphones for quite some time now, was hoping this newer iteration of their bone conduction headphones would provide that functionality. The inconvenience of having to go for my phone/tablet to change tracks gets quite irritating 🙁 Though the OpenRun Pros lack certain playback controls, it is still quite a great pair of headphones. I bought the headphones since the were promoted with "Premium Sound Quality" and compatibility with Mac. Unfortunately, there are two very disappointing showstoppers (in a nutshell version): – the headphone mutes automatically when connecting to the mac (mitigation described below) – the headphone mutes itself in the middle of calls spontaneously (mitigation described below) – the audio quality is really sub-standard when using the mic (Shokz know, but not interested/able to fix it) — Long version: Muting when connecting to Mac: An "Aggregation Device" with the openrun pro >mic< needs to be created in the "Audio Midi Setup". This will mitigate the issue. Random Muting Issue: The Shokz support pointed me to a 3rd party chrome plugin which disables the "automatic gain control" in chrome. Unfortunately, not every application provides such an option, so the random muting continues when using these applications. Search for "Disable Automatic Gain Control" by Joey Watts in the Chrome Web Store. Audio Quality: After several rounds with the Shokz support I got now a mail saying that they are aware about the audio issues with MacBooks but not interested or able to fix it. If i'd like to use the headset it with a Mac and want to have better audio quality, I'd should go and buy another of their headphones – the OpenComm UC. This comes with an USB plug, which is not acceptable when buying a bluetooth headset. It's 2022, not 1990. A macbook air comes with 2 usb ports, and I'm not going to block one of them permanently to use a bluetooth headset. If you manually select the laptops built-in mic, the audio quality "magically" becomes good. So it's simply a bug they're declining to fix.lukas
These Shokz OpenRun Pro Bluetooth headphones have a lot of fantastic features, but I’d wager they’re really limited to some specific use conditions. They are not great everywhere, but do excel in certain circumstances. Out of the box, the headphones have a nice storage case with a molded insert, they’re lightweight (29g), and quick and easy to get turned on and paired to your mobile device (Bluetooth 5.1). To pair, just hold the volume up (+ button) for 6 second. You’ll hear voice prompts on the headset. The charging cable is only about 2ft long, is pretty thin, and is a proprietary magnetic connection, so be sure to keep track of it otherwise you’ll struggle attempting to charge them. While charging, the led on the side of the headset is red, once fully charged it will switch to blue. The Shokz app found and connected to the headset without issue and gave some easier ways to adjust equalizer settings if you didn’t like using the buttons on the headset. There are 2 EQ settings in the application: Vocal and Standard. The Standard setting was pretty balanced for general audio, perfect for music. The vocal setting boosts some of the higher frequencies and is great for phone calls or podcasts. On Standard EQ setting, music was balanced, but flat. There is more bass in this model which is an improvement over some of the previous models, but the bass is clearer on these. If you turn the volume up too much on bass heavy music, I find the headset almost tickles me and I don’t like it. The biggest caveat: little to no privacy. Anyone with in several feet of you can hear the music you’re listening to or hear the voices on your phone call. The high frequency audio comes out of the normal speaker directed at your ear, only the lower frequencies are actually bone conduction. While this is great for running as you can blast music while still hearing your surroundings, it’s not great if you’re looking for privacy in what you’re listening to. These are not studio quality headphones. In my experience with Behringer's guitar pedals they do make some good quality gear. I have been amazed at the quality of their effects pedals at really low price points. I (stupidly) assumed that these headphones would be similar value for money. They are not. In this case you get what you pay for. I have a pair of AKG K44 headphones (which I would consider a budget line) and they outperform these by a long way in terms of frequency response. We have 8 sets of the HPS3000 now with the oldest set being 3 years old and still working. They are used to listen to room audio of adjacent rooms. Our staff are required to wear them approx 4 hours a day. They are great quality and comfortable. If you have young ears able to hear high frequencies well, this I NOT the headphone for you. The bass is rolled off. And I believe this is purposeful by Behringer. As an elderly, I have lost everything above 15kHz, and reduced hearing from 5k – 15kHZ. So strong bass in headphones masks much of the sound I want to hear. I use if for Bass guitar, far superior to Vox AmPlug MK 2 Bass and cheaper Bassment which both have a lot of background hiss (and poorer sound in my opinion), although it is move expensive. Takes a bit of getting used to having to use the App for settings etc but so much more versatile, check out the 'Mightier Amp' app as an alternative to the official 'Mighty Amp' app. Bluetooth connectivity for audio (jam tracks) a big plus. Design is good, when plugged in it is very unobtrusive and does not get in the way. I only use it for playing with headphones so can't comment on Audio Out/Recording features. Can't see me using Vox AmPlug Bass again!krisb372

I bought these about 6 weeks ago. They work well so far… charge easily, paired easily with my iPhone, easy to control while wearing it. They don't fare so well when listening to music – they just don't compare to a good set of in or on-ear phones. My concern is the vibration that is felt with certain frequencies and at higher volumes. The vibrating part of the device sits really close to, if not directly on, the joint that opens and closes the jaw (temporomandibular joint or TMJ). There is a decent amount of research showing that prolonged exposure to vibration can cause various joint and/or soft tissue problems. That said, I've found no research looking specifically at this kind of headphone and it's potential impact on TMJ function. However, as an orthopaedic clinician, I'm familiar with the seriousness of TMJ dysfunction and would suggest that people use these headphones cautiously until more is known about their possible impacts on the TMJ. TMJ pathology is tremendously debilitating and very difficult to resolve; it would be awful to have developed such problems simply because we chose to use a device like this. Again, I don't believe there is any existing research showing a link between bone conduction headphones and TMJ pathology. This concern is based solely on my understanding of TMJ pathology, and the fact that in other joints of the body, prolonged exposure to vibration frequently causes important problems.Rick
I got these for Christmas and I am so happy with them!! I have very sensitive ears, or maybe it’s just that the ear canal is too small, but both the wireless Apple airpod pros and the Bose wireless earpods hurt my ears to where I just could not use them. These don’t go in you ear, but rather transmits sound through the bone outside of your ear. I know it sounds weird, but it works super well. They don’t hurt at all and the sound is great. Just an update to my previous review:My previous comments apply to using the headphone output with a regular guitar cord into a PA's Hi-Z input. I can't speak to the effect of plugging an extenal sound source into the stereo aux inputs at the same time, as I don't intend to use that function.But this thing's simple design is even more brilliant than I thought. If you use the Balanced output with an XLR mic cable into a PA's Lo-Z input, the 'Master' knob is out of the circuit and it's absolutely dead quiet no matter where the 'Guitar' knob is set.(With all due respect to Winslo, an electric guitar does not produce any appreciable output in the 10-15kHz range, and in fact most guitar speakers only have measurable response up to about 8kHz; take a look at some of the frequency response graphs on Eminence's Website for example.)
The Rock Bug sounded like a very promising addition to my pedal board so I could stop dragging an amp back and forth to gigs. However, it was so noisy that the sound guy had to cut my 10-15kHz by -12db just to make it tolerable.This does not and can not replace an amp. You are better off getting a cheap combo amp with a direct out or invest 10 times more to get a full multi-effects modeling processor.Winzlo-CSa5U
