Not only does this 5 watt lil' monster have enough power to rattle the windows, it also has class! At only 9 lbs. the Bugera T5 Infinium has enough "UMFF" to push your favorite 4X12" cabinet into the stratosphere! It's better having this reverb built into this lil' madman than not having any at all. Just like 9/10 of the other amp heads in its class. The 1 channel, "all tube" head has warm cleans. Push in the PHAT switch and crank the volume and gain and you get saturated distortion that will blow you away! All of that in a 9 lb metal cage like package for only $200! You won't find another 5 W head with all of that for this price. I love my T5 Infinium from Bugera!brmul-8207
What it's not: Not a $1k boutique tube amp. Not a mid-size club amp (unless you have great monitors and a good sound guy). What it is: A well designed, very affordable little monster that will give enough stage volume at 5W for rehearsals in a full rock band or small club, and will also allow you to drive the output stage at that 1W or 1/2W setting for recording at home. The amp sounds best at 5W and driven into either a 4ohm cabinet or two 8ohm cabs. If you use it to drive an 8ohm cab, you are getting only 70% of its potential. I only use el84 based amps. i love their dark, throaty sound, and while this amp doesn't have the punch or snap I get from my 15W custom built el 84 amps, it sounds great for rehearsal or recording. I am a little bit worried about long-term build quality. The input jack is plastic. I have a hard time seeing that surviving a year of rehearsals without breaking. This is a great supplemental amp for rehearsals and recording. Very smartly designed. Good feature set. And if you like the el84 style sound, it delivers it above expectations at this price range. In these days of small solid state, practice amps, this little amp gives you tube tone and more at a very affordable price. A 12ax7 preamp tube and an EL84 power tube provide the tone along with built in reverb, 2 band EQ, gain and a "phat" overdrive switch for added crunch. The three stage attenuator is a nice touch. The stock Bugera tubes are OK but I switched them out with Tung-Sols which provided a rich creamy overdrive more to my liking. Great sound when plugged into my Orange 8" or 12" cab plus headphone jack for late night playing. Great amp for the price!Isom

If you're expecting an amazing Marshall sound, you might want to invest in some of the bigger amps Marshall has to offer. If you think you can get a concert level sound out of this little guy, you will not be the happiest person. However, that level of "high" expectation would not be very reasonable or even realistic for such a little amp. This is a very cute, small amp that will help you plug your guitar so you can practice quietly in any room in your house without annoying your wife. It will distort if you crank the volume all the way out, and if you're used to the full sound of a bigger Marshall (like I do) it might make you feel like you're hearing your guitar over an old telephone (just my opinion). However, if you calibrate your instrument volume & tone you can find a happy medium. With that said, for the price it is a very nice solution to practice and if the sound seems too weak for you, you have the choice of putting headphones. I personally use it just for practice on the fly, it serves it purpose, but then again I was not expecting the best sound output. So I am happy with the purchase.BeeZee
It's basically a toy amp. I can see it being used as a portable amp for non-serious performance. Personally, I like it for a quick jam and for (relatively) quiet practice in my apartment setting. Won't disturb my neighbors but it does get noticeable at the highest volume. That and the overdrive knob are the two main controls. By default it just does a clean sound but overdrive lets you toggle in some gain for that distortion. It has a good look that definitely models after its bigger brothers.Rick
I don't know what some of you guys expect from this thing, but be realistic: it's an inexpensive 5 inch tall, 1 watt amp. It's not designed for anything but sitting in a chair and entertaining yourself or a couple of people. Within that context, I enjoy this thing and sometimes get it off the shelf and play around with it for awhile. Also, when I owed somebody a 1 minute long riff for his podcast and my main amp was getting some regular tech service, I plugged my American Standard Strat into this thing, mic'd the amp, used the OD channel with the volume and tone both on 10, played the part, then added tons of bass, reverb, and chorus to it in post, and it sounded great and nobody ever knew that I recorded the part using a 5 inch tall amp. Its a lil orange. it's got a 12xa7 tube in it. it's tiny and loud and has bone crushing distortion. it's got an amazing effects loop. it can sit on your marshall head and push your cabinet, it is amazing for its size. comes as shown with power supply and yes ill give you a speaker cable too. it loves fuzz pedals and eq in its effects loop. play sludge metal shoegaze or jazz disco cumbia power donkey! ok its awesome and yes it does clean as well compress it and play country and rockabilly all day. not a toy don't buy this for your kids unless you want to be jealous when they turn it on!

A brilliant wee amp, which packs a hell of a lot more than the 20w on the spec. You can really crank it. I was sceptical before I bought it, seeing it’s more marketed to the ‘metal’ players among us. I play some metal, but hard, bluesy overdriven tones is what I like to play more than metal. It can really go for the scooper mids metal tone as well as a lower end bluesy tone. So it caters for all. I bought this as a little practice amp that I can use primarily as a clean pedal platform at home for late night playing, and it works fantastic for this. Better than I'd hoped. It's very, very loud, so I used an EQ pedal in the FX loop with the level slider all the way down. The Orange dirt sound isn't totally my thing but I do like to mess around with it now and then, and this thing scratches that itch without having to spend a bunch of money on a bigger Orange head. Quite surprised at how great this is. I've tried some other solid state clean pedal platform solutions, and this Micro Dark has probably been the best of them. For context, I hit it with a Friedman BE-OD, Wampler Pantheon, & Spark Booster and all sound just as they are intended to sound. It's a great amp for very little money for sure!KC
Sound: As a stand alone amp it's best suited for people that play classic rock, hard rock, acoustic music, Doom metal, Stoner metal, Sludge metal, Jazz or anything that you're looking for a warm fuzzy sound. Features: Most useful,1. The FX loop.2. 2 extra gain stages.3. The compact size.4. 20watts.Least useful,1. The headphone jack.2. The mid shift control, a tone control would have been quite a bit better. Ease of Use: You can get a good tone out of this head depending on what sound you're looking for. Ex….. I'm a metal player so I put an Ibanez Tube Screamer Mini in front of the amp to tighten up the sound and get rid of all the muddy bass tone and I put a 10 band EQ in the FX loop the cut boost the frequencies that suit my sound. I also play through at least a 112 cab, anything less sounds lousy these days. Quality: As for the construction I have no complaints. Value: Actually if I had to do it all over again I would have went with the Joyo ZOMBIE which has more features and sounds far better for metal or had forked out a little more for a Monoprice amp which is a full tube amp. Manufacturer Support: All I can say is no. The Wow Factor: It looks ok I guess. Overall: Pros,1. Affordable hybrid 20watt amp head.2. Small and portable.3. Great backup head for gigging.4. If you're using it for medium to high gain and turn up the volume you'll have to do it in tiny movements otherwise you'll have you neighbors mad and possibly have an ear ache.3. The headphone jack isn't the most idea to because it has an emulated Orange 412 cab sim on it and just like the volume control is very touchy.4. If you go on YouTube to get a review of this amp please be careful who you go to because a lot of the reviews make this amp sound far far better than it really is. When playing high gain this amp without the right pickups, speakers, micing placement, post processing and/or pedals used that the reviewers conveniently never mention will sound way too bassy, fizzy and muddy. It's not to say this is always a bad, I know people that love this amp for doom, stoner and sludge metal for high gain and other that love it because they're not modern metal players that need a tight response.5. In order to get this amp to play modern metal that actually sounds good(not an Ola Englund post processed video with great pickups and speakers) you'll need a Tube Screamer(or a good Tube Screamer clone), at least a 112 cab and preferably an EQ ion the FX loop to iron out any bad frequencies. A noise gate would be a plus because when driving with all this stuff your rig may make a lot of unwanted noise.6. Only one channel, but you can't always expect much for an inexpensive amp.7. Lastly it would have been good if Orange included a aux in for jamming with other song and drum beats.

I picked this up for my son so he could practice around the house. Killer stocking stuffer! When the son is away the dad will now play. I started playing my Mustang Bass through this and it did the job. It's a small amp, not a practice amp. This is perfect for camping trips, rocking at the office or kicking it in the backyard. Took a chance on this and purchased it without every playing it. Watched video reviews on it and gave it a shot. Yes, I know that it's small in size, smaller than a kids lunchbox but I hoped it'd produce quality sound and what I got was muddy sounds at increased volumes. It's not clear sounding and my goal to play through an amp is to sound good and I felt if I actually played this in front of people, the muddyness would make me sound amateurish. So, for what you pay for this, yes, you get amplified but it's not real great quality, unless you're a metal player because you don't get a clean sound from this. This ain't no micro cube or vox. This less than 20$ & runs on 1 9v battery or 9v plug in the wall.(transformer not included)& Holy Friggin' Smokes does this baby perform.Monster overdrive tone & super bright, clean tone.Headphone input.Probably exceeds 60 decibels,which is beyond city ords. could get U a fine it's so damn loud. My Strat Squire sounds soooo Fender good out of this lil sucka & my electric/acoustic, sooo crisp.Ultra light to carry around.I've been using the JOYO mini,I love it,plug in,no chord,fun but this Fender mini is a bit more.More tone options and louder.I've yet to find out how quick it eats batteries. The JOYO burns them up fast.Get the rechargeables.Also the JOYO has an MP3 input.This doesn't. I run guitar strap thru the handle so the chord is like non-existent or U can old school it and have a 10 or 20 ft chord.So light it can be pulled over by the chord.These mini amps also pick up radio signals. I play a Rockerverb onstage and figured hey I'll grab a micro Terror for the studio when I'm working on demoes and practicing. Everyone raves about how it does the Rockerverb thing so hey why not? Don't bother. At best it's a little practice amp but I honestly like my Hotone Heart Attack better. This terror is kind of scratchy and just a little league sound. I love Orange amps but this one pales in comparison to the classics. I guess you get what you pay for but I expected more than this.jq127
I bought this with a ppc108 cabinet – as my review for that cab says, I was very surprised how good and powerful they are together. I thought I would eventually get a larger cabinet for it, but i would only need to if using it for a live performance with a full band. (might be able to get away with ppc108 with a quiet drummer…) For just playing by myself or jamming with other guitar/bass players it is more than enough. This amp can get you great classic rock tone – but I play all styles of music and generally more jazz and hard rock sometimes into the metal range – and this sounds great for that as well. For full on metal you might want to add your favorite distortion pedal but the tube overdrive of the amp itself sounds fantastic! I haven't tried myself but this thing can drive a 4X12 cabinet pretty well according to videos that I've seen. It really sounds like a slightly scaled back version of a full amp head. for the price you will not be disappointed. You could definitely use this for amateur recording – probably professional recording as well but by then you've probably got a bigger amp. Any one who wants a tube amp to mess around with but doesn't have a lot of money to throw around should check this out – or if you just want something very portable. Note that this is a hybrid, it has solid state power and one tube for the preamp, but don't be afraid, it sounds great! It's louder than you might expect and although with the ppc108 it dosen't have extreme low end, it still has good low tones when used with six string guitars in standard as well as C tuning and I have used it with an 8 string guitar, which flops a little on the low string but with a larger cabinet would probably be fine. I highly recommend this amazing tiny amp. Watch some youtube videos if you aren't convinced. For portability the ppc108 cabinet works very well with this and still sounds very nice, but again you can power larger cabinets including 4X12.valvetuber42

Because the Stage Right 5-watt tube amp (#611705) has control knobs only for Volume and Tone, I found that I get the best-to-my-ears guitar sound when I put an equalizer pedal between the guitar and amp and then adjust the equalizer to the tone that I'm looking for. On the guitar the Volume and Tone knobs are set fully open and on the 5-watt tube amp the Tone knob is fully closed and the Volume knob is set to the volume level acceptable to the environment (for home practice the Volume knob is set to level 3 at full 5-watts). The Stage Right 5-watt tube amp is my first tube amp after having used modeling amps for at least five years. I had heard that tube amps more often than not sound better than modeling amps. After now having experienced using a tube amp I agree that tube amps (at least the Stage Right 5-watt amp) sounds better than the modeling amps I've used (which to me sound great too). If you're looking for your first tube amp (like I was) or you are looking for a low-watt tube amp for home use then I highly recommend the Monoprice Stage Right 5-watt tube amp #611705. Review about Monoprice customer support: The 5-watt tube amp that I initially received had a cosmetic defect (a hole) on the textured surface on the front side of the amp. The Volume knob when set to fully opened level 10 produced normal speaking level sound instead of the noise-complaint loud volume that I expected. Monoprice customer service was great and easy to work with in submitting an amp replacement request. I described the problems, sent pictures of the cosmetic defect and a video demonstrating the Volume problem. After Monoprice customer service reviewed the pics and video they sent me a free shipping return label, a RMA label, and they ordered me a replacement amp which arrived within 7 days after I submitted the replacement request. The replacement amp that I received had no cosmetic defects and the Volume knob set to max level 10 is loud enough to generate noise-complaints from neighbors, though I normally use the amp at Volume level 3 for home use.New User
For the price (I got it when priced $119) it is fantastic. It's simple, straightforward and sounds good. Nice warm tones. If you're a fantastic guitar player, this amp will sound fantastic. If you're an okay guitarist, you might want to invest in some pedals (or just keep practicing). I only say that because it is very clean and bright and it really shows off what you're playing. (I've been known to hide my sloppiness with reverb, distortion, etc.) BUT It does take pedals well – thankfully! Adding a good reverb pedal, delay and an overdrive to go along with this little guy is a good idea. The Pros: Value to Price ratio. Looks well built. Warm tube sound. The handle (yes I am talking about the amp's handle) is nice! Better than I expected. In fact, everything looks pretty good (except the cheap control knobs). 5 watts is plenty loud for home/recording use. The Cons: Good sounding, but there are better sounding. Please don't buy this thinking that this is a $500 amp. It is not. But sub $200 it is a good one. The chickenhead knobs are cheap looking. I took them off and painted them. But that's a dollar or two easy fix (if it bothers you at all). Overall: I totally recommend for $150 or less. Probably for $200. If the prices climb too much beyond that, I think there are other options. If you want to jam at home and record with it, I think you'll be happy.Brad
The Monoprice 5 watt guitar amp arrived just a few days after ordering, and arrived in good shape, due in part to the excellent shipping carton. Upon taking it out and inspecting it, I could find no flaws in the cabinet, and due to the cream color of the covering, it seemed a little bigger than I was expecting. I plugged it in, let it warm up for almost an hour, and then plugged in an ES339, using no pedals. At first, I wasn't all that pleased with the sound I was getting, but it was my fault. I had it adjusted as I do with my Albion Hybrid, but that wasn't the way. I found the best sound came from turning the Monoprice all the way up, and then use the guitar controls for volume instead. That did it, and the little amp came a alive in a big way! Sounding very similar to a Fender champ, it could go from nice clear tones to crunchy heaven with the ES339's humbuckers. I plugged in a Strat with an HSH configuration, and the single coil really made it sound Fenderish. Sweet. The only thing I found one might improve on the amp, is the speaker. As such, I plugged into the built-in external speaker jack on the back, a little Randall 8" cabinet. That really did it for me. The sound was fantastic through the entire spectrum, and was loud enough to be heard down the block. I then bi-amped it with the Albion, and the sound had all the creamy goodness I've been seeking, and that is how I now have it setup for daily use. That said, there's nothing wrong with the stock speaker on the Monoprice, and I suspect it will satisfy most users. Am very happy with this purchase, and glad I bought it for such a great price. Almost every electric guitar player could find a use for this amp. Buy before the price goes up, or they quit making them!T

I wanted a tiny head—-lunchbox—but it had to have reverb; headphone speaker plug; and 20-5-1 watt capability and this one is perfect. Great tone. I tried it and the 5150 Peavey, but that was too gainy and the clean channel was gritty even at low settings; I sent the 5150 back to the vendor. So I settled for the ValveKing tiny head. I have used it with a 1×12, 2×12, and 4×12 all with Celestions, and it sounds really good. Maybe not as full as a big amp with more tubes, at very low volume, but they are too loud to control and too loud to get crunch or overtones in a bedroom or other practice room. For jamming with the guys, I simply take this unit along with a 2×12, and we rock out. Is so easy on my back ! Thank you Hartley Peavey for not making this thing $1500 like the others !! This amp channels ZZ Top and Led Zeppelin perfectly for ME !rock-n-fish

Now I also have Orange happiness! A note about Sweetwater, by far the best bet for me. Been dealing with them for years and not a bad experience yet I'm lucky enough to be in a neighboring state so I get my stuff very quickly and the staff is top notch. I bought this amp to use in a limited space and at a low volume for very low cost. It obviously doesn't compare to a normal size amp in quality but for being a practice amp it is perfect. Many reviews across the web say it loses power or sounds bad after a short time, but its literally as simple as changing the battery in my case. The manual even says to change the battery if there is an issue with sound, and the battery that comes with it isn't really the best and doesn't last long. It has great sound at a low and mid range volume for the little power it actually has but when you ramp it up it does sound a little distorted but not bad at all for $23-$29. While you certainly could use it in the studio for certain alt/auxiliary tones and/or layers and achieve fantastic results (producer/artist discretion advised), It's not meant for that. It's meant purely for being able to enjoy playing electric, untethered, while wandering about randomly and/or practicing. …Whether outdoors or indoors. …At home, in the park, around the neighborhood, at a camp site or a BBQ, wherever. Perhaps even during your breaks at work. It's not meant for playing in a full band situation (especially with drums), nor is it meant for getting a half-stack sound (or even normal combo-amp sound), for a fraction of the price, during a high-end studio session or full-on concert. mini-amp works great as a travel amp, or playing early in the am when ppl are sleeping lol it fits perfectly inside my hardcase, along with my electric guitar, headphones, tuner, cables, etc. performs as expected.. dont look to be amazed at its performance lol but for practice/travel its the perfect amp. has a heavy grind for chunky metal riffs. doesnt pick up the p[inch harmonics that great, but they do come through. the clean setting is great, too, and for a tiny little fkr it really kicks pretty good! had my finacee yelling at me to "turn that fkn thing down!" so, lol, it hits pretty hard for a small little guy.. but like i said, dont expect it to put out the tones of a line 6 spider IV or a Marsall half-stack cuz it aint capable for that. it isnt designed for gigs lol so dont expect that kinda sound. but, i love this mini-amp; its my new best friend!da.davc.mcoumykeiu

The amp is built from a good quality plastic. It's pretty cheap, it's Marshall and it looks like a reduced copy of a real Marshall stack. The clean sound is not bad but I couldn't manage it to make a good distorted sound like I've heard on YouTube videos. Compared to other similar compact amps, the sound is not really great.yurersho_4
Awesome Product. The only mini amp that can hold its own when playing with an acoustic guitar. All of the other mini amps I've experienced are either drowned out by an acoustic, or sound horrible when cranked loud enough to play with one. This amp can play with an acoustic or quiet electric and still sound great. Very portable and durable (I have dropped mine multiple times and it still sounds great). I very strongly recommend this amp for anyone who would like to bring an electric on a vacation or somewhere else.
OK I will write something none did about use of this "amp", at least I didnt notice so sorry if someone wrote that : I checked on some gear forum question from a guitarist–he tried to connect this MS-4 to his amp as preamp boost, he said he got no sound, sohe got advice to mod thing(you have to open back of amp and solder certain jumper to get direct out–but headphone is not usable after that !)And one guy told that he got sound through headphone to another amp but it was nogood sounding ! So…both was wrong, first of all I quite intensely play and practice guitar every day, now some about sound…So :1. You have to put jackin just a half cause headphone out is stereo, 2.I have plugged thing to my Bugera 5V–5watts tube amp-which have excellent sound just lacking little push…so this MS-4 have provided that push, it serves excellent as a preamp boost and gives to your amp (specially good if you have dark sounding tube amp) Marshall caracter, so amp turns into Marshall and rally sound as you are playing tube Marshall amp–no kidding here, crystal clear strong punchy cleans and also with this you can overdriven tubes really nicely, great also to give you lead channel! So you dont need boost predal if you use this for an amp ! And you dont have to mod this amp, just use this headphone thing ! You can use micro cube roland in same way–rec/hedph out to another amp ! This is a really neat little amp that has more than enough gain to be usable for modern metal tones right out of the box. To get it sounding exactly how I want, I needed to put an overdrive/boost into the front (Boss SD1 sounds great to me), and use a noisegate. This is a fun little amp that offers a variety of tones at whatever volume you need. 20 watts in an all-tube amp is more than enough volume to keep up with a drummer and gig. With built power attenuation that lets you switch between 20, 5, or even 1 watt, you can practice at low volume at home (or no volume with headphones), and still achieve a rich tube tone. Rhythm channel: Acts as both a "clean" and "crunch" channel. Fender Twin Reverb cleans are out of reach, but still surprisingly lush and useable. Turn up the pre-gain to add a beautiful smooth break-up. Bright switch available, and I'll note that it's useable, and doesn't turn your tone into an ice pick. Toggle the crunch mode on (or switch on with the included foot switch) to add another level of drive and a bit more compression. There's quite a bit of gain on tap here, enough for classic rock of any variety, even 80's/90's hard rock, grunge, alternative. This would be a complete, excellent amp with only the rhythm channel. But there's more…. Lead channel: This is why you buy the amp. Hot, searing lead tone designed by Eddie Van Halen himself (Peavey 6505 = Peavey 5150 with a different name). Used by rockers and metal-heads alike for decades now, this ultra high gain tone is iconic. Plenty of bass for chugging palm-muted riffs a la Metallica or [insert heavy metal band name], but don't worry, shredders, lead lines maintain remarkable clarity and character. Shared EQ across both channels; not an issue for me, and you can always get an EQ pedal. Effects loop, options for recording via USB, headphones out (no auxiliary out for your MP3 player). Bottom line: This amp offers a lot of options, and it does an impressive job at each. I LOVE the built in attenuation for late night jam sessions while still having the volume and power for full band settings. Bought used, had the pots cleaned to get rid of some crackling. I love this amp but I will say, the standard overdrive does suck if you aren't using any boosts or pedals. I really recommend an eq and tube screamer pedal with this. I had no problems with feedback, just weak gain and needed just a push on the overdrive punch. Love the presence and resonance, its also nice having reverb. I have the 100 watt of this amp too and the pedal is NOT cross compatible sadly. Clean channel could be cleaner, a little on the muddied sound, like a jazz pick up trying on crunch overdrive. Definitely play through 12 inch speakers, tens don't give you full bass capacity,even with eq boosts. All in all, amp is built well and adaptable if you have your sound dialed in outside of your standard amp controls, i.e.- pedals/compressor, etc. Through just standard amp distortion on overdrive, at most you get an ac/dc amount of over drive/distortion.jeffro records
The amp sounds phenomenal. You have to hear it in person to appreciate it. When you dig into the guitar you not only get a gritty, gain-heavy sonic assault, you can feel the amps power hit you in the gut. It has a very nice controllable compression that still enough headroom to feel when you play. Peavey amplifiers are frequently regarded as "high gain" amplifiers and this amplifier is definitely one of them. It's light in weight, yet powerful enough for practice and gigging. Pair it with a 4×12 cabinet with some Celestions and there are few could find fault with your sound or volume. It's got several tone-shaping controls, including presence, resonence, a bright boot and a separate gain-boost on the crunch channel. The amplifier is smart about it's electronics, and gives you tube status via LEDs above the power and stand-by switch. The amp has a nice feature set including cabinet-less recording out, a USB interface, variable power output (20 watt, 5 watt, and 1 watt). It has an XLR out for recording. The amp doesn't support 4 ohm speakers, only 8 ohm & 16 ohm. Ergonomics: I'm used to gain first, by the input jack, followed by tone, followed by main power amplification (loudness). Not this amp. First are some tone-conntrol functions mixed together with gain, then more tone control, then loudness, then reverb, then more tone control. I don't know why all the tone control was grouped together, but it wasn't. The labels for the knob are below them, so unless the amp is almost at eye level you can't read them. The speaker ohm setting, something presumably you wouldn't need to swtich often, is handled by a big, ready to be flipped toggle-switch. The power/power soak function, something you may actually flip back and forth in a given evening, is an uninvited plastic slide switch. Peavey got these switches backwards. Then there's some obtuse buttons that control things like XLR wiring and if a cabinet is selected. The ergonomics are weird. I like the amp A LOT, though.Salvador

This is the positive grid bias mini. it s a great sounding amp modeler. it takes modeling to the next level. you can virtually change transformers, power tubes, preamp tubes, all kinds of details. it feels like an actual amp. i purchased two of these about a year ago so i could run dual amp scenarios is stereo with my hx effects. it s more trouble than it s worth to get all the saved models to play at the same volume with different effects and routes. i m selling one of them and going back to a 1-amp configuration.unit is in very good condition. there is some light scuffing on the bottom and a light scratch on the top.

Still early…I have not tried all of the advertised features. But instead of useless sounds, the factory presets are a set of very nice clean tones. Of course, the small, light box with 300 watts was what brought me here to begin with. As a bonus, I found that I can switch tones with my small midi controller (midi mouse) to give me a 16 channel amp. Love it. Cant wait to try all the other features.the-blues-man
Absolutely love this amp! Easy to customize, great tones. My only complaint is the lack of available rack ears, and the wired foot switch. Although I’m going to get a MIDI foot switch, the 4 button wired would be perfect for most gigs, and has a nice small footprint.Al and Tamara Hayes

This isnt at all what its claiming or attempting to be and am I disappointed! Joyo pedals are an amazing godsend as far as stompers go, the Zombie amp is a 8 out of 10 for sure, but this is completely underwhelming. I'm trying a few different ways and I am not liking it. I could have bought a few pedals for this way too high price tag in hindsight. Bluetooth is revolutionary on amps, but the cell phone store has better options, with more versatility. Needed something with a headphone jack. This fits the bill. Pretty nice sounding micro amp. Brown sound pedal on the dirty channel actually allowed me to do hammer ons, which was new to me. Plenty of gain if that's what you want. Clean channel sounds pretty good too. And as portable as a sack lunch!nieltj

I own JMM Recording Studios. This little amp was perfect for powering a small speaker box with low wattage for recording guitar. The first "British Invasion" unit was defective. It created a perfect "popcorn crackling" sound, however, I was not presently recording any tunes that needed the "popcorn crackling" sound, so I took my complaint to the famous Steve Price at Sam Ash. He emailed me the proper paperwork and FedEx prepaid stuff. I mailed the defective unit back and a few days later, the new unit was delivered to my studio…kinda like magic, ay? Contact Steve Price. Had this amp for about a week now and had time to play it through a Mesa 1×12 as well as a Mesa 4×12 and WOW!! This little amp can get LOUD when played through a large cabinet, you can get some great lead tones as well as it takes pedals very nicely. The Deep and Presence knobs really help you get that low end thump. Bottom line is if you’re a metalhead, look no further, you won’t be disappointed! The gain is super smooth and so pleasant to the ears. Highly recommend to anyone

I bought the amplifier based on sound clips and others reviews. I love the amps clean channel with OD, Eq and delay in the signal chain for my driven sound. It gets a very articulated, clear, deep throaty sound that is intoxicating for rock sounds. I only have to turn it up to about 4-5 to be clearly heard in the mix. I don't care much for the OD channel as I find it a bit harsh for my taste, even when I dial it back a bit & Eq. it. The only comparisons I have are to my VOX AC 50 and Mesa V mark 25 valve amps. This amp is a great, inexpensive alternative that is ultimately portable – glad I bought it!Dr Crusher
This is a good amp that will give you different results based on your pickups and speaker cab. The tone stack is a bit dark so I like it less with humbuckers than with single coils, but it's still very useable either way. Depending on how you set it, it may or may not have trouble cutting through a band mix. I haven't had that problem, but my amp is always mic'd and we don't play super loud. The dirty channel is – from what I understand – more like an OD pedal overlaid on top of the clean channel. It sounds good and has its own lo/hi EQ and can go from a semi-clean boost to about as much gain as a tubescreamer or the like. Sounds very good, IMO, to the point that it would be possible to use this amp with no pedals for a gig. And it does take pedals well – I haven't run into anything that doesn't sound good. Overall this is an excellent lightweight amp that sounds great and is very giggable. I don't know that it's "better' or "worse" than "a tube amp" (as if tube amps are one generic thing). It just sounds good. I've never felt it lacked anything. I run it through either a 1×10, 1×12 or 1×15 cab and all sound great.Al
Love the clean channel – sparkly without ice pick highs. I don't care for the OD channel, it sounds too harsh for my style. I get the sound I want through an old GenX 2 from Digitech fed into the amp & out to 2 single 12" speakers. I'm blown away by how loud this little amp can get. It gives a full, thick throaty sound that is very articulate and gives singing highs when needed. The portability and sound delivery is amazing! I bought the open box model and couldn't be happier.
