Guitar And Amp Stand For Sale (2024 Update)

I had to make major modifications to make this fit me. I'm 5' 8" 140 lbs. Owned mine for 2 years, but had to cut the legs 2 1/2" shorter, move the seat rest down and backwards a few inches, widen the footrest and remove the guitar rest. It's now fine for a 3 hour gig, but was HORRIBLE before!!! Strength and quality of materials, construction and padding are very good, but ergonomics are by some strangely built weirdo, unfortunately!! They need to redesign it to fit an average human!!!!! If they made it fit right, it's worth the cost. If you can't modify it as I have, buy something elseTim

I have been performing an acoustic set for sometime now and I have to lug a stand, stool, the guitar and I take a tablet for a cheat sheet and requests. This cuts most of my lugging in half and the seat is comfortable. I love the fact I can just bring 3 things to my gigs and have the peace of mind that I don't loose track of a stand or the stool. I mean seriously I would never forget my guitar but a guitar stand is easily misplaced or someone confiscates your stool and then the bar now has an extra stool and you left without your stool. These things may sound silly but when being a performing musician and not having people working for you keeping track of your stuff it's easy to have stuff go missing. This item molds two things into one and makes the gig easier and it's comfortable! So all around just a great product.dyerknight

Must have been designed for ppl at least 7 feet tall. Most of you will be cutting 2 or 3 inches off the legs. Most ppls feet do won't reach the floor and the foot rest are not appropriate height. That alone makes it very uncomfortable and renders it almost non usable. The back rest may be risky as it did snap off for at least one person and I found it to feel very unlikely of holding any of my weight. Also the back rest was not lined up when assembled at the factory and is off skew. Looks dumb. Could it be fixed without damaging? Maybe. The guitar rest do not hold an electric guitar on mine without it setting sideways and risking a fall. Can I bend them around to work? Maybe. I don't currently have an acoustic on hand to test. "I barely have a butt but still find this hard to get situated on. Very small seat. Hard and not comfortable. I never believed there could be so many issues with a simple chair. I may cut the legs and basically rebuild the rest of it and keep it, but I have to say it is nowhere near worth the price. If I don't take it back, I will likely use it after repair for a while and then buy a nice office chair later and give this thing away.Chuck

It's a well built unit, just not for this amp. Maybe should'a done a bit more research. My amp is a "tilt" and "flat" type unit. That could be the problem. While these stands are technically for amplifiers, I use them to hold my vintage 45 pound speakers and they work great. My previous speaker stands broke so I wanted something cheap that could hold them stably and securely, these were exactly what I was looking for. These stands are angled slightly upwards which projects the audio towards your ears. Overall, if you need speaker stands for some big speakers, these are a very good, affordable option.Kevin

I purchased three of these for a couple of Yamaha 212 combos @ 62 lbs each and a Roland AC-100 @ about 60. This stand does a fantastic job of supporting these amps as its capacity is 152 lbs.and the extensions of the base "horizontal" pieces beyond the core of the uprights guarantee excellent stability. Puts the amp controls in so much more convenient a location too. Distance between support pieces is fixed so it could possibly not be ideal for everyone's application, but If you can get your amps up off the floor where they can be heard properly, they will actually sound better! You will also find you need less volume as you can hear it better and your band mates will be happier too! I'm thinking about a few more! Excellent tool!Rama

Awesome stand. It's easily adjustable to fit many different amp combos (it fits all of mine). The adjustments are a snap and you can even set different angles. It folds flat when not in use and is very light and portable. Finally the most important thing is that it is extremely stable. I would definitely recommend this stand for anyone with a combo amp.Tom

Easy set up. This stand is adjustable, and it can accommodate different size amps. It has enough tilt to make it easy to change amp settings on a stable platform. (I was afraid that it might wobble). My reference stand for combo amps or 2X12 cabs has long been the model by On Stage Stands. I wanted to keep a couple of guitars and a smaller combo amp upstairs in my home in a "sitting area," where I can quickly pick one up and work on a song or play along with something on TV/radio. MFI had this on the Stupid Deal of the Day recently and considering the ridiculously low price, plus sales tax, I decided to take a shot, even though a number of people had commented about the inconsistency in quality and a bunch of different cosmetic issues. My stand was received in a double box with each section and the arms unassembled and wrapped in plastic to protect them. No partially drilled holes, or pieces of metal rattling around inside the leg sections, as one reviewer commented. Finish was perfect, and it fits my Fender Champion 40 like a glove! The height and angle is perfect for playing seated close by, and being able to make adjustments and changes on the amp by hand, on the fly. Very solid and stable; I have a Jensen C12N 50W rated ceramic vintage speaker in mine, which significantly increases the overall weight, and yet the amp is steady as a rock. Thinking about ordering another one for my wife's stage piano combo amp. These are very nice, affordable stands that you don't have to apologize for in any way.Arch69er

I have 2 of these stands and I need 1 more. an amp stand is an important piece of equipment to have for any guitar player that uses a combo amp. They make my life much easier in a few ways. 1 way is I don't have to bend over to see where my settings are.another way is it gets the amp off the ground so the speaker can do its job. and breathe a little as they say in tech speak.It puts the amp closer to your ear so you can use your ear while on stage. The DI box will feed to the house system so you have a good monitor for your axe. Then here is another cool thing I like about this amp stand. Have dogs? Well with this stand you can beat your dog at their own game. No more dog liftin a leg on my amp. That only happened once but it is one of the many reasons why I got this amp stand. I like to use the lowest setting on this stand to keep the amp from falling. It has never given me a problem at this setting.The price is the most affordable of anywhere and the quality is top notch.It is easy to use and easy to transport. I would like find a gig bag for carrying this stand to gigs. That always helps. I have used these with 3 amps of different sizes with no problem. I have not tried it with a heavy Fender tube amp as big as a Fender Twin as of yet but would like to hear from anyone using this stand for a Fender twin. This stand is a sturdy stand but lacks ANY adjustment. I use it with a Fishman Loud Box mini and the amps feet sit right on the rails and the power cord is right at the back support, so it fits a little funny but works. This stand also has a pretty big foot print for a small amp stand. Does the job but nothing worthy of more than 3 stars.djnuckinfuts

Purchased for the Fender Mustang LT50, stand was too small, amp wanted to fall backwards into the rear opening, potentially damaging the speaker cone. Upper arms are not long enough to catch the closing back-plate at the top of the amp. Went with the gator combo amp stand. Solid build on the fender, would work great with an 8 or 10 inch speaker amp. Prefer the gator stand build quality, thats why I gave the Fender stand 4 stars, five star stand are available. I like this stand more than the regular floor stand because this does not put any pressure on my plugs and cords. The bottom of the guitar doesn't touch the stand. The large footprint adds stability, which is great, but it takes up a whole bunch of floor space! My only real concern about this stand is how durable the padding on the neck support is; will it last very long? It seems a bit thin, and moves around when I place my bass in it. The support itself is sturdy and will hold the instrument with no problems. Overall, I am happy with this stand and will be using it as my primary since I do have the space for it.Craig O.

I picked these up from a DotD specifically for a Fender Meteora style guitar, which won't sit so nicely in regular stands due to its shape. I also wanted a good yoke, as a few of my super cheap stands had hard, protruding bits that left small dents in one of my guitar necks. This satisfied both needs. That said, you're likely weighing between a Hercules and this Fender stand. I'd say spend a little more and pick up the Hercs on a DotD. I picked a pair of Hercs up on a later DotD, and the clutch is much, much better on the Herc than the Fender's simple lever. The Herc has indentations in the support that allows the clutch to lock. The Fender is fine for lighter guitars, but can loosen up and drop if too much downward force is put on the yoke support. I had this happen once so far, and have moved my heavier guitars to the Hercs. I would not recommend this for a heavy bass guitar. All of that said! It's a nice stand, and does its job. I don't regret picking it up.Diffracted

I have similar stands from another company which are a slightly different design. The other stands are slightly more compact, since the yoke folds over the top of stand and lays flat against the rise shaft. That is the ONLY thing better about the other stands. The other stands were more expensive, have just as much plastic in the manufacturing, and were less stable due the fold-down locking leg design. Worst of all the other stands have the awful "locking" yoke, which folds tabs down on either side of the neck/headstock joint, at least until they break (which one of mine has). I don't understand the need for this locking yoke device. If the stand gets knocked hard enough to tip, as soon as the body of the guitar hits the floor, the yoke is going to release anyway and the guitar is going to fall out of it, right? Maybe I'm not seeing the purpose of that yoke, but it just seems like another point of failure to me. These Fender stands were an incredible bargain on the SDOTD. I wish I could fold them a little smaller for transport, but that would probably undermine the great stability they have, so I'll accept the very slight lack of portability in favor of the security and confidence they give. The yoke is stationary, welded to the rise shaft. It's slightly narrow, so I have to start the guitar into the yoke at an angle, then rotate it into position. This just adds to the stability, so no big deal once you get in the habit. If you try to pull the guitar straight out of the stand, it will pull the stand toward you along with the guitar. Once again, not a big deal if you simply remember to twist-then-pull. The only other issue may be the base mechanism's screw/handle, which holds the legs in the spread position. The screw is threaded through the red plastic piece which holds the legs. Only time will tell if this design will hold up to regular use, and is my only real concern with these stands. Not worthy of a star deduction yet, but we'll see…Steve-O

This is a perfect stand for my Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue. Built strong, easy to adjust, and light weight. Problem is, you might pull it out of the box thinking you just have to unfold it, tighten the knob, and you're ready to R&R. That is until after killing your back trying to get the 50# amp on it correctly, you throughly study the picture on th box and notice it's put together wrong (probably to fit the box.). So get out your 1/2" wrench (SAE & made in China?!), undo the 2 bolts, and make it look like the picture. Nope, no instructions or warning tags! You just saved your back and your kids from learning some new words. Perfect angle, no problem with bars hitting open spaces on the back of the amp, and very solid.Lcgoodtimes

I really like this amp stand. Having your guitar cab pointed at your head instead of your knees allows you to really hear how changes to your EQ (Bass, Mid, Treb) effects your tone. It is very stable when tilted back far, and can remain stable when tilted at only a slight angle. However the "feet" that touch the ground come closer together as you position it more upright so if you angle it so it sits almost how the amp regularly sits on the ground, it is not stable, but who cares because why would you buy an amp stand and not use it to tilt back your cabinet? The locking system feels secure as well and I am not worried about it failing. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the top back cross bar isn't long enough for some OPEN BACK combo amps. You can easily buy a piece of PBC pipe and Jerry rig it to be a bit longer, but I feel it's worth mentioning that it might not work for your amp (unless you do some simple modifications). If you're not sure if your amp will fit on this stand: The cross bar is 19 inches in length. If your OPEN BACK combo/cabinet is more than 19 inches wide, the cross bar will fall into the open back and you won't be able to use the stand (unless you modify it) The top cross bar is about 10 inches up from where the base of the amp sits, so a super tall amp might not work. Overall this is a really good product that does what it's supposed to. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good, reasonably priced amp stand.Grant

As a regularly gigging semi-pro guitarist, I've tried many amp stands. I've been using a Musician's Gear Deluxe, purchased from MF a few years back, which I like, but the awkwardly shaped brackets make it a pain to transport. I bought this one, hoping for easier breakdown and stowing. As advertised, it's very sturdy and folds pretty flat – MUCH easier to carry and pack than the MG stand. I have no fear of my amp falling out or tipping over. The toothed wheels are well made and work as designed to lock the stand in both the open and closed positions. The downside is that, compared to the MG stand I've become used to, this one is VERY low. The bottom corner of the amp is barely an inch or two above the floor. It's less an "amp stand" than an "amp tilter"… but tilt it does. For my amp (it's a Line 6 Valve), I can't find any way to arrange it except 45 degrees. Thus my amp is essentially a wedge monitor – resting on the stage, angled up at my head. When I mic my cab through the PA, this is OK, but at small venues where we play "amps only", I worry that all my sound is just being absorbed by the ceiling. Neither my bandmates on stage nor the audience are getting much. I've also found that the upper brace on the back of the stand does have a tendency to slip right into the open slots on the back of my amp, and then it's a big, heavy puzzle to get them apart again. Recommended provisionally: if you have a closed-back amp that you'd just like to tilt on the floor, this is a great product. If you want your amp up off the stage, this is not the stand you're looking for. Move along.AquaRegia

This is a sturdy, heavy duty stand. Perfect for my small amp up on top rack. It's an AI Coda series combo. Slightly rounded in the back but the unit still holds it really nicely and puts it at a nice level next to my F holes on my bass. Highly recommend this and B&H Photo. My living room is also my recording studio, so I don't have much space available. The Quiklok two tier amp stand is great for my two combo guitar amps. Pros: Excellent space saving solution. Two amps, one footprint. Angling the amps up is the first priority and this stand does this very well. The bottom is set at one angle (and it's probably the optimum angle), and it has height adjustment. The top has height adjustment and a universal rotation for angle adjustment. The only limitation is interference with the amp below. It's plenty stable. Fender HD Deluxe on bottom, Marshall Origin 20 on top. The unit is a little bulky to carry on gigs but worth it and only 7-8lbs. Cons: Though it's well made, the fit of the top tube into the bottom is lose, too much "slop." This is a "no go" as is, the weight of an amp would torque it to swing like crazy. It was a quick fix by wrapping the male tube with a few layers of duct tape so the fit was snug and straight. But c'mon the designer couldn't see that was not good? A knob on the back came out-of-the-box broken off. This was a superfluous part anyway, so I'll give it a pass, but it's a flaw and not a bright design detail. Final thought: One would think that there would be a number of "dual" amp stands on the market, but not really. This was the only one I could find in my search. Great find.Mark

This little folding Hercules stand is a great little piece of kit for when you need to travel light. It's surprisingly stable fits easily into a gig bag pocket or even a coat pocket. The clever little push down supports allow you to use it for both solid bodied or acoustic guitars. It works really well for studio or home use. I don't know if I'd put so much faith in it on a busy stage with clumsy or pumped up musos on the rampage but otherwise, it's just fine.6stringnick

A great little stand that I can easily fit into my gig bag thereby helping me to reduce still further the weight load of what I take to gigs. The name of the game for me these days is to travel as light as is possible and practicable and this is a further step in that direction. And it does the job perfectly. As an aside, I bought a Lakland Skyline 44-02 from GUITARGUITAR around 12 months ago. Value for money and well built guitar stand. Well designed and easy to transport and use. Too many people have their guitars damaged because they have leaned their guitars against tables or chairs, this solves that problem. I have used many types of guitar stands, all with advantages and disadvantages. This stand is one of my favourites, it's biggest strength is portability and cost. I ordered one, liked it so much, I ordered two more. For my needs this worked perfectly for my classical, as well as my 12-string and 6-striing acoustic guitars. I like the weight and the balance of this stand. The padding that touches the instrument surface, I feel, is quite adequate. Had also hoped to "kill two birds" by using one as a tabletop music holder; it seems to do the job, in my case only by placing a ruler along either the top front of the stand (behind the book), and possibly other methods I haven't tried yet. Am used to standard guitar stands, so if I had small kids or pets of concern I Might be a little more cautious with type of stand, though, as with any free-standing instrument.Pat

Not the best stand I have, but for the low cost, you simply can't beat it. The build quality is excellent, and the welds (a common quality concern) are exceptional on this product. I've used this for stage and home use, and it's very solid. In fact it's sturdy enough to hold a five and four string jazz bass at the same time. This makes for an incredibly small footprint on small stages or tight rehearsal spaces. It folds for storage, with the only issue being the arms that hold the guitars don't fold, or cannot be taken off for even a smaller load. Regardless, this stand is such a deal for the price, it's hard to find any flaws. Due to space, this is the only stand I'm using at my home right now, and it's holding a 1400.00 bass. That is reason enough to buy itjamesbaghr

I have to agree with some of the previous reviews. This product is well made and looks like it will last forever. The only problem is with the one obvious design flaw. The top rear support rail is only 19" long, which is way too short for some amps. If you have an open-back combo amp, the rail will sit inside the side walls of the amp and potentially push against tubes. That makes it unusable. There is a simple modification to fix this. Just add a piece of wood or a steel tube to lengthen the rail. I knew when I ordered the stand that I would need to do this, so I wasn't upset when I received it. I would still recommend this product, but just be aware that depending on the design of your amp, you may need to modify the stand. A little disappointed in Gator. Their products are usually very well thought out. Still, it's a usable product, after you make the mod.mclove2000

My guitar player used this on a gig and because he has a Fender Hot Rod Deville the back support fell right in where the back of the amp is open. It held the amp but not the way you want and because of this the center of gravity was off, we needed to lean it against the wall for more stability. If the back support was the size of the front support there would be no problem! Why they made the back support smaller than the front is beyond me. Just a few more inches on the back support and there isn't an amp that it can't hold. This stand will support a 100 lbs. amp with ease it's very well made.BT

This Hercules Mini Guitar Stand is perfect for my Córdoba Solista Classical Guitar which I just bought from The Guitar Center to update from other Clasical guitar. When I practise I like to have my guitar next to me so I can set it down or grab it quickly when I adjust other stuff (online lessons settings or just taking a real). Tried a few other similar product and none of them provide me with a sense that the guitar would be secured, this Fender Amperstand has finally come along as the perfect solution. I enjoy writing reviews for cool new ideas that makes musicians life's better or more fun and had to let you guys know about this new spin on an old idea. I got this product for my home studio/office and I had low expectations because the other concepts fell off easily, but not this one. It stays in place really well. It was my birthday and my wife needed an idea and it's affordable and I liked the concept a lot. A custom shop Strat was a solid no. lol. She got this for me and it's been a terrific tool so far. The microsuction works WAY better than I ever thought it could on tolex. It clings really well and you have to peel it off to even get it to come off. Lifting straight up lifts my amp off the floor. YES, the Microsuction s^cks … but in a good way. ;o) I'm really loving the cable and pick holder part. It's super nice to just have picks there and to keep the cable off the floor (and out of the jack) when I'm not playing. I have not taken it to a gig but I can see where it'd work fine there too. I don't use amps at gigs anymore so it won't work for me there; I can't lean my guitar on an Iridium. I like them so much I'm going to get a few more … well, actually, my kids will be getting them for me for Christmas (if I can wait that long). My overall assessment is pretty simple, if I lost this one I'd go right out and get a replacement that day. It's that good and I like it that much.Steve
