This is a clone of a popular Boss pedal, and it succeeds in replicating the Boss' performance. It is 1/3 the cost of the Boss. Behringer has "copied" many name brand pedals, undercutting their high prices too. They are a German company with a huge music equipment production Chinese factory integrated 'city' that they manage. The engineering is German. Assembly is in China. I don't know where Boss is assembled. Aside: I also have a small Behringer amp that rivals a particular Fender in every way. (I really like Fenders, btw). It's a copy of sorts, but with simulated vacuum tube solid state circuitry. It also sports a 2" larger speaker – a Bugera. This noise reduction pedal's guts are encased in a heavy plastic box. It looks/feels like it will take normal to harsh treatment without any ill effects. I was kind of skeptical about buying a product from a brand that gets a lot of bad rep on many reviews I have read about this pedal and a few other products from this brand, but it turns out those rumors aren't so true about this pedal giving them more feed back than what it can take away. It worked just fine for me after having some experience with some noise compressor a while back I had this thing set up and ready to play. I guess those critics of this pedal must not know how to set up a pedal or they have bad luck with getting bad gear. It's a little heavy for plastic, but that's why I don't recommend that you stomp on this pedal. All you have to do is press on it to turn it on and leave it on until you're finished playing. Over all I am proud I've purchased this, quiets my distortion that fizzes on my amp, but it's not to be used on the clean channel. I have nothing but good things to say about this. It worked better than I expected; you don't need the high-end filters. My buzzing is completely gone but don't forget to do some things on YOUR end. For example, run your audio lines away from your power lines. If you're using an amp, make sure the ground is short and on the metal of your car. Check for continuity, you'll be surprised that some places are poor for grounding. Do not ground the aftermarket radio using the car's ground. find your own. Mount the noise reducer near the radio and not the amp. There is a different kind of noise reducer if you still have a buzzing after this.StephenW
Was having noise issues with the use of a CB on a motorcycle. Installed filter and it took away part of the issue. Now need another filter to install to take away the remaining noise from the fan for the cooling system. This filter took away the noise from the stator and the electric fuel pump.rdc664

I should start by telling you all that i play modern metal, not classic rock or anything close. I bought this pedal a few years back hoping to squash out the hiss in my amp due to my use of an overdrive in front of the amp.I used it in front of my amp with a ts9 in its little effects loop. it was very difficult to get the start-stop quick djent style stuff i wanted without a feedback remnant always cutting in. also, there was a noticable amount of cut on any palm-muted notes and really any note played would not sustain naturally. any setting on the decay would not help. but, i had to have the threshold up pretty high to knock out the hiss. you must also know that i am using a horrific amount of gain with a 6505+. I have the post gain maxed out and most other things maxed out as well.After much research and saving, i invested in the isp decimater g-string. this product was on a whole other level. the things that the ns-2 lacked this thing just has. It senses when you are playing, instead of opening a gate when you play loud enough. Even with my extreme gain settings, overdrive in front, booster in the effects loop, and volume all the way up on my guitar, i can start-stop all day long just like periphery and animals as leaders. plus, my palm muted notes fade naturally as do normally fretted notes. Another thing i have recently learned is that the ns-2 manufacturing process uses lead free solder, whereas the ns-1 has lead based solder. This resulted in a big difference in signal integrity, and is very evident if you leave the pedal on bypass and play something, then removeit from the chain, and play something. it darkens the tone alot. In conclusion, if you want play the new styles of metal with all the gain and start-stop, buy the isp decimater g-string or pro rack g.MTloveit

Excellent value. I have an IBasso DX90 and a Chord Mojo linked by a coax cable. I suspected that there was room to improve the sound quality and hey-presto! I link the IBasso to the IPurifier via coax and the IPurifier to the Mojo via optical. There is a definite and immediate improvement in instrument placement, clarity etc. Because I take this little bundle on the road the plug-in 5v dc supply was not much use. Instead I use a USB external battery with an ISilencer that I already have (just for peace of mind). So for £145 (excluding ISilencer!) I have raised the quality of my existing transportable system a tier or 2. Can't say better than that.Richard

To use a fine old term 'bang for the buck' this is definitely it. If one understands how these work this one delivers the goods. I am easily able to get the full envelope range using a stock Strat. This pedal is cool but kind of strange. The overall effect is very mild through clean instruments but is very noticable with distortion. It boosts your signal a bit which will cut your volume if you switch it off in the middle of a song. The white knob does reshape your mid range tone which can either add an extra layer to shape your eq or diminish your eq altogether. This knob always reshapes your tone in this manner regardless of what the other knobs are at. One major benefit to this is that it seems to polish your tone a bit. The difference was extremely obvious when I tested this through my full bore pedal. This is worth having but it's more of a secondary effect pedal. If you need something to go with your distortion/reverb pedal combo and don't want something generic, this is a good choice.gei_57

Behringer FM600 is a good envelope filter/auto wah with a lot of control. I am using it on bass. The sweep is broad and veritable and the effect can be adjust to loud or soft playing. Plastic housing is not a problem for me. My only complaint is that of all Behringer pedal effects – it takes three hands and two pins to poke in hinge releases of the pedal to get to the battery.gazelle_mom
This is a great fx unit, enveloping filter effect manipulator, basically a super cheap version of an EHX Q-tron. It performs most of the things you can do with a standard q-tron but some things not quite. It has some fun and cool sounds of its own though. It has a flimsy construction and the activation trigger is delicate so you won't want to gig with this pedal, though it could make a good backup pedal in emergency. In a nutshell, sounds cool and wild but sometimes limited, construction is weak and crappy, not really a pedal you can rely on with gigs, but would be great in a studio.tromafiend187

These werent what i was expecting at all. i was expecting all the sound to be brought down and not be as loud, like how regular plugs are, but what i got was way better. these definitly bring the noise level down but do so in a way where you can still hear the your surroundings without the noise completly destroying your eardrums. perfect for music events if you have sensitive ears but still want to enjoy being up close to the music.Adan
