I could spend all day yapping about this pedal…In my travels i've tried countless pedals, but got tired of having 'too many' pedals. The weight, the time it took to hook it all up. I also busk, or play where electricity isn't available, and wanted a setup where i could make one trip with everything, and keep the weight down. I've always been a fan of ZOOM products, so trying out the Multistomp series was a no-brainer for me. The 50G met all my requirements, and exceed them all after i got one and started using it. Tones that are as good as any higher priced pedal, the versatility is second to none, and the price is killer for what this pedal can do. I would say the the Bluetooth version was my favorite, then the 70CDR, then the 50G, with the 50G's new 3.0 update, the 50 G is now my favorite pedal…period. The 50G started with maybe 50 patches, now it has 172, and best of all it has the Exciter patch, which to me is required on any pedal board. All i can suggest is watch the countless demo videos of this pedal. I would recommend this pedal for any level of guitarist, i would also recommend the MS-70CDR, watch the demo videos of the 70-CDR vs Strymons…amazing I cant say enough good things about the 50G, i believe it's near the perfect all around pedal. The Multistomp series are easily, in my opinion, the best bang for the buck pedals madeLocorogue
The MS-50G pedal is first class. It is every bit as clean, quiet, and well built as the Boss pedals. It is not a replacement for the Boss line. Zoom pedals have a character of their own. Personally, I like the Zoom tone. But I'm not a guitar player. There is a great ~15 minute YouTube instructional video for the MS-50G. I got over the learning curve for writing and storing effects by watching this video, then I bought pedal. It replaces several pieces of my high quality studio gear when I need fast results that are of high level audio quality. Zoom delivers with this product. After I watched this video I purchased the pedal. I also like my G1X as a companion to this pedal. The G1X has a nice volume/expression pedal.Sean
I needed something for my living room and practicing while watching TV late at night without a full pedal board or multi-effects box. This along with a Boss RC-3 and a mini mixer for my wireless headphones provides everything I have in my studio at a mini level. The sounds are good enough. There are enough options in sound to play most anything. Eventually I'll try this little beast as a sub for my full pedal board and see how it works in a live jam. One pedal to do everything. It's not perfect but it is great. I wish Zoom would provide updates to it and a better manager. It's pretty old by today's standards and if Zoom provided updated files they would sell even more if these great little boxes. B&H had the best deal available and as always they provide excellent service. Thank you B&H. I'll Be Back, lolThomas G
2. Tc Electronic Mini Spark Booster Guitar Pedal
Product Details:
A tiny pedal with a loud bark, the tc electronic spark mini booster can provide up to 20db of clean boosted power. whether you want to kick it on periodically for some extra punch or leave it on all the time as a tone booster the spark mini can prove useful in many playing situations regardless of genre. because of its diminutive footprint the spark mini can be easily placed in any open space on your board. if you want to add more gain to your sound put the spark mini at the beginning of your signal chain to drive your pedals and amp harder. some guitarists have an always on boost in this configuration to impart some grit on their tone. if you want to just boost your overall volume stick the spark mini at the end of your signal chain either after all of your pedals or in your amp's effects loop. should you for whatever reason want to disengage the spark mini the true bypass switching ensures that the circuitry in the pedal won't affect your tone while disengaged.

Reviews:
I wanted a button to make me louder for solos etc. and this does exactly that without changing tone. Brilliantly simple: set how much volume jump you want and that’s it, I don’t think I have had the dial past 25% so far. The ‘latching’ function of the foot switch is a great idea. Great price as wellReviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Initially intended to buy an Xotic EP Booster because I wanted to try the Echoplex thing out, but saw this little guy and figured…why not? I like it so much, I don't see the point in ordering the EP Booster anymore! Hits the front end of my Soldano in a way no overdrive has yet, and with no noise. Works equally well in front of my OCD pedal for a lead boost. And to all the people whining about the switch not clicking…whatever. I like that about the TC stuff and wish all pedal companies would make their switches "clickless". Great value, just buy it already! Thanks TC and Sweetwater!
This pedal does exactly what it claims and does it better than other pedals of the same purpose. It is constructed extremely well. For around $50 this pedal's physical casing and switch assembly is made better than pedals I own costing hundreds of dollars more. I don't foresee this pedal ever needing replacement or repair. I'm not particularly fond of the "momentary volume boost" feature but that doesn't change my overall opinion. It's a great item.ethan1957
3. Jhs – Legends Of Fuzz – Smiley
Product Details:
Jhs pedals smiley – fuzz jimi hendrix was released in london in 1966 and the then new arbiter electronics fuzz face became his favorite fuzz pedal – the rest is history. in the first few years the fuzz face was built with germanium transistors until the pedal was completely converted to silicon transistors in 1969. hendrix himself preferred the silicon version because of the more aggressive, snappy sound and of course because of the better durability. the jhs pedals smiley offers a faithful reproduction of the properties that make the early silicon fuzz faces a milestone in music history to this day. several vintage pedals have been carefully analyzed to perfectly capture the magic of this era with the smiley face. the smiley is clear and defined and straddles the line between fuzz effects pedal and 'sawing' sustain. the stompbox gets the low-end and the crisp bite in the midrange as you would expect from a vintage arbiter pedal. one of the most revered qualities of a good fuzz f.

This was my favorite stomp right out of the box. Super smooth and seriously THICK. I think theMuffuletta is more versatile. If you are a MUFFman then you need this pedal. I don't understand the9volt disclaimer, is it not to be used with a daisy chain power supply like the "One Spot"? I have powered with a real battery and a "Power Plus 2" on the big pedal board with no problems. I did not try a "One Spot" yet…Alabama ChainSaw
Great pedal, quite niche, but a different pedal in the marketplace of a gazillion pedals all doing the same thing. JHS Pedals are always good. I’ve marked it down for value for money because most pedals are a massive ripoff, but that’s the market we’ve created.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
4. Sonicake Distortion Pedal For Electric Guitar Shark 3 Modes Normal, Modern, Classic High Gain Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal True Bypass

I suppose for a specific type of sound for someone this could suffice. I have other options and have used other inexpensive distortion units for decades. Just lacks Sonic character, dynamics and didn't add anything positive to my sound. I DO really like their volume/wah mini pedal…they are all well-made and terrific. I wanted to support this product but it was a disappointment. Do your reviews carefully before deciding.spacecoaster44
I'm a studio engineer and have 7 different chorus pedals most name brand and are expensive but for the price.., this pedal cannot be beaten. Put this together with a couple of other pedals and you will never look back. Lush Setting is absolutely killer. Good quality construction and noise free. I play and record in stereo but for the price you can easily afford 2 of these sweet sounding pedals. Hey for the money you cant lose.818eleven11

Reviews:
Great pedal if you like smooth distortion and unobtrusive fuzz a la Jimi Hendrix. Extremely well made and well researched as to use transistors etc. that were used in his equipment . I heard him live , and although this pedal is not the exact sound , it is in the same genre of really full round sound . As Jimi used to say " We care for your ears "nonconceptual8
Tried it in a store – didn't like it – too subtle. Then I tried it again, and gave it a shot live. It rules. The cool thing about this pedal is that it's really practical – it doesn't blow you away in a store with how "effected" it sounds. Instead, it is incredibly transparent. It allows you to just juice your amp. I bought it after doing a record where I used no pedal, just moved my gain (JTM Marshal style hand wired amp) up and down for different tones. Live I realized I need a pedal that could push my amp without altering the character. The Catalyst does this really well – and gives you all the extra you would want, without sounded at all like a pedal. Most TS style OD cut the bass and push the mids. This pedal pushes everything at once. It can also enhance your mids, which is what happens on my amp when I crank it up, so it captures a very usable approximation of me moving my gain knob around. I'm using it in the spark setting, with the gain almost all the way up. The flame is cool too, but I have a fulltone soul bender for fuzz, so for me, the catalyst is all about transparent "MORE" – so good.jonnyscience

After trying a couple different distortion Pedals from EH, I picked up The Satisfaction, and boom, golden. This pedal has such a crisp, defined fuzz. Some other distortion pedals have a grey, washed out sound to my ears. If you love vintage fuzz, up to a hard rock distortion, look no further than the EX Satisfaction Fuzz.Brian
I love this thing. If you're looking for that classic '60s fuzz sound as in the the type in the song this pedal gets its name from this is the pedal to do it. When I think of fuzz that is what I'm thinking of and any pedal I ever tried did not sound like that. EHX nailed it with this one. And although it has that classic sound, it is 21st century technology. It's built solid and the true bypass circuitry keeps the signal clean. I almost put that it only does one thing as a con but I don't really consider that a con. It does what it's supposed to do and it does it well. That's how I like my effects… simple and straightforward. I just wanna play and not have to punch through 100 different effects. Works for me!Markus F
I should have probably listened to the reviews on this pedal and realized that the high boost was going to give me would be a tough thing to work around. While it does match the sound of the of the satisfaction recording pretty faithfully, I find it hard to believe that maestro fuzztone pedal that was used at the time boosted the highs like this guy does. More than likely the EQ on the amp Keith Richards was using had more to do with it. If you were to add an EQ after the pedal and use it in conjunction with it I have no doubt you could get some great fuzz tones, as of right now in it's current state with out a tone knob or anything to control the EQ it's a little too harsh for my ears. Running into a fairly clean and flat-ish EQ on a Fender Twin Reverb. But I don't think a pedal should require another pedal or effect to sound good. I bought this pedal expecting to get a maestro fuzztone clone, and while I have no doubt it comes pretty close, it definitely requires some tweaking out of the box.Nathan
7. Electro-Harmonix J Mascis Ram's Head Big Muff Pi Pedal
Product Details:
The j mascis ram’s head big muff pi fuzz pedal pays homage to the sonic center of the alt-rock legend’s iconic tone of equal parts thickness and clarity in a special edition white and violet finish. “that’s my sound. the muff is always on,” j says. “all distorted sounds begin with the muff. that’s what i grew up playing so it’s kind of amazing to have my own signature one.” based on the highly coveted 1973 electro-harmonix v2 violet ram’s head big muff, j’s signature big muff produces the indulgent fuzz and exceptional sustain used as his sonic center for decades. the fuzz is sonically more articulate than other big muffs with excellent string separation and dynamics, which make it one of the most versatile big muffs. the pedal’s response feels smooth and aggressive making your leads scream and chords thunder. feel the fuzz of a guitar giant: the j mascis ram’s head big muff pi fuzz pedal from electro-harmonix.

Reviews:
How odd. This review was flagged for writing Big Mu** using the two F's 🙂 For the money, this is a really hard pedal to beat. It goes from mild and laid-back to wild and intense. The controls feel great…like as in excellent quality. This is a reissue of the original Big Mu** PI. I tried a Big Mu** PI with Wicker and forget about it. It hissed so loud in Wicker mode that I couldn't even here myself think and it got even worse with the tone switch off. And even in the so-called Big Mu** PI mode, it didn't sound anywhere near as good as this Rams Head does. And, the Rams Head is quiet compared to the BM PI with Wicker. One more thing, The BM PI with Wicker does not say anywhere on it nor in the included paperwork where it's made, whereas the RH BM PI clearly says New York City on the face of it…Vincent
The tone sweep is nice and there are some interesting spots because it is linear while kind of non-linear at 10 to noon and about 1-2 on tone control. I can't say why but usually I had purchased like more expensive versions of ehx pedals. That being said, I think people need to realize that these are quite accurate reissues and circuits, and just because it is an affordable pedal doesn't mean it isn't great.
Overall: Floats like a stone and stings like a nest of angry hornets! This box has the buzzsaw sound down pat. The fuzz is a thick, smooth, and consistent. I like this kind of fuzz in particular because it’s less fuzzy and little more distortion-like. The Tone knob has a really wide sweep from boomy bass to mid-range Hades. It has plenty of gain on tap and even sounds pretty good with the guitar’s volume rolled back a skosh.I’ve never used the original Green Russian Muff and have only heard them compared through videos online, so I can’t speak as to how they’re different/alike. I got it because I didn’t want to haul my vintage Black Russian Muff around from gig to gig anymore because it’s getting valuable and since it was a pretty jenky design to begin with, it’s liable to break with heavy use. That being said, the reissue Green Russian Muff has a different sound than an original V8 Black Russian Muff. It doesn’t sound as good to me, but it’s not so different that I wouldn’t use the Green Russian live in lieu of the Black Russian for the aforementioned reasons. One huge plus for the Green Russian is its pedalboard friendly size. The Black Russian is the size of an 80s metal lunchbox and took up an awkward sized chunk of the pedalboard. Now there’s more room for other unnecessary boxes (gulp)! One noteworthy ding for this pedal is how difficult it is to see the script on the top of the pedal. The words are printed right underneath the knobs, so if it’s kinda dark (which it usually is) and the lights are all in front of you (which they usually are) the words are impossible to see. Overall it’s a nice fuzz especially for the price. It’s noisy, but once the music gets rolling you won’t even notice it.Brad

Now I don't hate it, but Its not my first go to pedal. I like the more modern BOSS "Metal Core". It is however like all BOSS PEDALS built like a tank, extremely reliable and a great first pedal. For the money, this is a super value. I found that I like it for "Gain Stacking" in combination with the BOSS MD-2"Mega Distortion" and a few other pedals. Even two DS-1 DISTORTION together improve the performance to me. Overall it's not terrible and I see were for some it could really be a price but I lean towards Heavy… Heavy Metal and for that it's more a corvette when you need a Lamborghini. Do I hate it, NO… I actually own two of them.kt.precisio-7
I had one of these racks for well over 5 years. My original got pretty dingy so I decided to buy a new one because the first one served me well. I bought this Christmas of 2019. After 6 months of use, the rack is beginning to rust. Try to find the product using description and model number on KitchenAid website so I can contact them about it for possible replacement but got "product not found". Other than the metal rack, it's a great product. The rack should be stainless steel. I generally love KitchenAid products but I recommend against this one.randy_san
Highly Underrated! Many people think this is a low-grade Boss effect pedal, but with proper settings and usage, it stands up to the quality and fidelity you have come to expect from Boss "Built like a Tank" pedals. The reason many people give this pedal low marks is because the Tone Knob is crazy! Similar to the Fender Reverb Tanks, this knob goes from just about right to way out of control in a hurry! – lol. Set fully left/counter-clockwise (7 o'clock), it is dark and muddy, around 8 o'clock it will sound good for a Strat lead tone, around 9 o'clock and a little beyond is good for fat Gibson humbuckers to cut through any mix, and anything beyond that is way too thin, harsh and God knows what you would use it for outside of a specialized high freq-type notch filter effect or laying heavy on a low string. This is what people don't like about this pedal…the Tone control is too wide – lol. Find the right spot and you are there tone-wise. This is Distortion, not Overdrive and it is made to provide searing lead tones and carefully voiced rock chords. It holds a strong distortion without going into feedback as easily as other pedals. There is even a video on YouTube that shows one coupled up with a Boss OD-3 Overdrive…I do it too. It's nice to have one set for crunchy rock and the other set for searing leads and sustain…but I am also guilty of engaging both of them at the same time! As with just about any distortion pedal out there, the higher the gain, the more the noise, but all in all, this pedal holds the noise level down while keeping a strong tone that if need be, any noise gate could easily manage…I don't use one. The Level control can act as a lead boost if you cut back on the Drive. You really can't get rid of the distortion effect, but you can minimize it to a point that it will behave like a boost with a little grit behind it and most times this works just fine, especially live. As of July 2012 the average price for the Boss DS-1, used, in good condition is nineteen to thirty dollars. The higher being free shipping and original factory box. The other factor are the older models made in Japan go for a significantly higher price (sixty to one hundred dollars) to people who collect vintage gear or have discriminating tastes. With the abundance and affordability of these pedals I say, "Why not have it in your arsenal?" If you set your unity gain and tone to be "seamless", it is worth twenty bucks to have it there & ready to kick in when you need to hold a high note (or any note) extra long without worry…and if nasty is your thing, this pedal can get really nasty set to anything past 11 o'clock. (Which is only 1/3rd of the way "up".) This pedal also doubles as a great little gift for a budding rock star. It is cheap and it provides good distortion, which is what they are most likely looking for, until they get good enough to deserve a two hundred & fifty dollar pedal. I, myself have many expensive pedals, play professionally (26 years) through a large rig and have this pedal at home in my "Boss Chain." Be conservative and use micro adjustments and you will find a great usable pedal at a terrific price.guitaroperator

hurry go…go now! get to the credit card and grab one of these before there gone 4-ever. ok…this is a tiny pedal. barely wider then a pick. built well, great paint Job and sounds over the top good. very raspy. i own 4 donner pedals and love them all, but this fuzz takes the cake. i did a side by side comparison with my caline nightwolf and almost couldnt hear a difference! in fact the donner has a bit more grit. my favorite thing is the tiny foot print. my board is out of room for a long time now and i popped this right in. huge sound. lots of volume and grind. no warbling or sputter. i am now a big fan of donner and cant wait to see there new line of pedals. we are living in the golden age of effect pedals. never before could you get this quality at these prices! i paid $22.00 for a pedal that sounds as good as any big muff out there…………..maybe better!?!? thank you donner 4 another big winner at an UNBEATABLE PRICE, DELIVERED TO MY BOX FREE!!! P.S. AWESOME4METAL.Toni

Great and versatile overdrive, compact for small, simple, lightweight boards. I've used mine in one session as a medium gain rhythm drive, a smooth light cleanish blues driver, and a saturated solo tone with a delay. Can also approximate fuzz or replace your clean booster. As for the tubescreamer comparisons, it's completely different. I've had an expensive tubescreamer for years that still has no mileage on it, and it's really only usable in combination with other things. The Nobels is good on its own, as the center of your sound on a clean amp, or complimenting your other effects.tillitsleeps
Great overdrive! I hadn't heard of the Nobels ODR and thought to try this out based on reviews and reputation. I was not disappointed in the least. It lives up to it in spades. Transparent and more tube like than many tube overdrive emulators I've tried. The only con is size. Some may like the small footprint but if you don't have tiny feet, it becomes a con rather than a pro.Dave
11. Mooer Slow Engine Pedal

Reviews:
It does what is advertised with a straight up guitar signal but it does not sound like the demo where it sounds like Brian May. If you are into a lot of effects it falls short. Tracking will not work well in a medium to long signal chain. If you have a couple of boxes and each effect is set up perfectly then it produces a reasonable flowing sound. For me it was disappointing I don't like to leave negative reviews but frankly I wish I had done more research. Other Mooer stuff is good particularly the Cab Sim I have several Mooer boxes and am pleased. Thanks818eleven11
Looking to bring out a lead line in your playing but didn't want an immediate presence into the soundscape without a quick volume introduction of the new sound. This pedal is a permanent dweller in my lead signal and is simple to use. Dial up the amount of swell you want with the large attack knob and play. I use very little swell and often times in a lead line, it will give the sound a singing quality to it. Perfectly described online. EXACTLY what i wanted. Easy to use and small footprint. Some may be more complex with greater features but I wanted simple.lou_bourbon

Reviews:
Always been an acoustic guitar snob and purist, always pooh-poohed the idea of acoustic pedals until I started using LR Baggs boxes. So I'm now working through their catalogue, an LR Baggs devotee; what they know about the physics of acoustics is equal to what they do about players. Finally after decades I enjoy listening to myself again.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
I really wanted to like this pedal. I love most of the other LR Baggs pedals. Just too bright, and no matter how I adjust it I can't seem to get a setting I like. It also seems to add feedback at almost any setting. Very "Digital Sounding". I reviewed this pedal before and liked it. But the more time I spend with it, its just not my thing. I did discover while messing around, The MXR M169 Carbon copy works amazing for acoustic guitar. Much more natural sounding and a dark delay that sits in the mix. That is the delay I use now.Big Rand
Does not change the sound of my instrument. Completely adjustable.d0nker2011
13. Joyo Jf-35 Electric Violao Guitar Distortion Effect Pedal Pocket Metal Drive Mid Tone True Bypass Musical Instrument Parts
Product Details:
The jf-35 sounds like a randall on 'roids. the gain is incredible, as you'll see in the youtube videos of the pedal being demo. the hardest part may just be deciding between this pedal and the other stomp boxes in the same arena. joyo has rock, metal, blues and every other tone nailed. the pocket metal, of course, is suited for metal and does fine in a hard rock setting as well. one really great feature is the pedal isn't noisy at volume (other than the signal that is supposed to be distorted). that's thanks to the quality components, such as the quarter inch input and output jacks, a clean dc power circuit (9v dc battery included) and other parts of quality including the capacitors, resistors, and of course, smooth pots (volume and tone knobs). speaking of which, the jf-35 has a unique mid-range control adjustment, as this frequency range is of more concern in heavy metal than the highs are. scoop or add grit, just by making a quick adjustment on the huge bright white knob. all told the jf-35 from joyo audio gets the job done and leaves you with spending cash to invest in strings, cables and all the other essential gear that it takes to make great music. the pocket metal distortion pedal will inspire you and afford you with that modern metal crunch!

15. Fulltone Secret Freq Overdrive Pedal
Product Details:
The fulltone secret freq overdrive/distortion pedal is no ordinary stompbox. though it does a clean boost and transparent overdrive/distortion extremely well, this new pedal from fulltone does so much more. the 'freq' knob controls a proprietary circuit that can add as much as 20db of active narrowband midrange, but unlike most other pedals with mid controls, the treble and bass frequencies don't disappear. this gives you way more sustain and lets you dial-in your tone just how you want it. not like the plimsoul or the ocd. from penetrating punch to more subtle drive, this musical and harmonically complex fulltone secret freq overdrive/distortion pedal will not disappoint.

Reviews:
