Reviews:
I received one of these cases with me Fender American Elite Shawbucker Stratocaster. I've loved the case, no problems and has alot of protection. I decided to buy a "beater" Fender Player Strat that I didn't have to worry as much about as my other premium guitars. It unfortunately does not come with a case. I was a little worried it wouldn't fit the same, but it's perfect. This case can definitely take a beating and protect your precious guitar. I highly recommend this case if you need a case for a Stratocaster.Michael
This case fit my MIJ Jazzmaster like a dream! I was able to get a discount with Musician's Friend as the previous case I was going to buy was on backorder. This case has far better specs than the SKB case I was going to buy and its well worth the money. Supports the neck properly, and has a nice compartment. The only thing I wish this case had more of was I wish the compartment was big enough to fit extra pickguards. Its a minor gripe and still has plenty of room for tuners, strings, picks, and the trem arm. Bottom Line: If you have a Jazzmaster that you're going to travel with or you want to keep it safe, then this is a must buy!Tim
I WISH they made this case for a Mustang bass. I love this style because it's fits my vintage 1980's Squier Japanese Jazz bass AND modern Fender Precision bass. Fits the instruments like a glove! Large internal pocket for accessories also a win win. I like it so much that I purchased two. Make one for JMJ Mustang bass and I'll gladly purchase it.

Not worthy of being called fender. It's like I bought a knock off brand. This was supposed to be for a Christmas present and so I ordered the dark blue one. It had the same issue of the leather falling off on the inside. The only thing keeping it together was a thin amount of glue. It was falling apart. So we returned it for another one. And got this light blue one. The problem was worse. We are having to glue it on ourselves. But honestly this is unacceptable. Not only was the leather unglued but there was several holes in the outside, and the fender logo inside is just plastic wrap on top of a metal button. My husband is dealing with it because I got it for him but I expected better. He loves fender, and I notice quality details right away and this wasn't it. They need to reevaluate what they are doing to save money. Definitely would not gonna buy again or recommend to anyone that wants a case that will last a long time. All of them on the store were like this by the way.Clarissa
I purchased the tweed/red case and really love it. I had read some negative review in the past so I was a little hesitant but the one I got arrived in perfect condition (quality materials, latches all line up, etc.) and just looks fantastic. One thing I would like others to know (should be more common knowledge and the case should come with a small instruction sheet, for which I would give a Fender/G&G a full 5/5 stars), is that at first you might think the case is a little small because of the padding — it is actually fine as long as you know that you need to "pre-squish" the sturdy padding and then properly insert the guitar (and also let it get settled for a bit). Indeed, this particular tweed case has very sturdy padding where the headstock and bottom of the guitar touch (also a little on the sides). This is a good thing in the long run but at first it appears as if the guitar might not fit (either a Tele or Strat with regular size headstock). There are forums explaining that it is best to put the head stock in first and then slowly push the bottom in. I would also add another very important step before that… With a little patience and elbow grease (but careful not to overdo it), spend a bit of time carefully squishing down the padding on both ends. After a little while, check (and re-check as necessary) to see if the guitar is getting easier to fit in (be especially careful with the high "e" string tuner when test fitting to avoid getting bad pressure on it). Your patience will pay off when you get to the point where the guitar fits very snug all around (without any loose movement). I suppose they could use more squishy material for the padding for an easier initial fit but it seems that would risk a loose fit in the long term. Since these cases are more for vintage vibe than, say, super-duty TSA-approved for heavy travel, it is more good than bad that the padding needs a bit of initial coaxing to get the best fit so it stays more snug long term.JOSE
This case is not what I expected from a G&G case. I've owned numerous G&G cases over the years and currently own two that came with my 70th anniversary Broadcaster and AVRI 62 Telecaster and this case is not the same quality as those. The first thing I noticed is that this case is extremely light. That's because it's made of thin, flimsy material and the top will flex under light pressure. The overall quality is nowhere close to the older G&G cases; tolex, latches, handle…everything. Also, my guitars fit very snugly in the older cases and with this one, my Tele has room to slide back and forth about a quarter of an inch. These cases aren't bad, they're just not great quality and what you'd expect from G&G. In my opinion they're a little overpriced for what you get, too. Also, be aware that the "orange" plush interior is closer to red than orange and does not look like the photos.Adam

6. Gator Gw-Jag Jaguar Style Guitar Deluxe Wood Case
Product Details:
Reviews:
I just bought a Squier VM Jazzmaster last week from here. My wife is getting the case as a BDay gift for me! I have noticed that most reviews aren't explicit about which case they got, and which guitar they got it for. It's important to buy the right case, or it won't fit the guitar properly. The customer that said it weighs 25 lbs with guitar must have a PRS that is very heavy! The case itself only weighs 8 to 10 lbs, so he must have a 15 lb guitar. This is normal for a hardwood solidbody axe. Back in the early 70's I finished up a guitar that Paul R. Smith had built. It was solid Rosewood about 3 inches thick, and had a strange triangular shape. By the time I had put it together and lacquered it with many coats of clear, it must have weighed 18 or 19 lbs. It had dual humbusters and it sounded pretty good. So I know what a heavy guitar is all about! In about two weeks I will review the case properly so potential buyers will have an idea what to expect. I already expect it to be a little better than the Musicians Gear cases that I bought from MF in the past for about half the cost. But they weren't bad for the price!Geezer
Fits BC Rich Bich. Will fit 3+3 and 6 inline headstocks as well as reverse headstocks. The interior dimensions listed are very accurate. It would be nice if the headstock area inside the case was "notched" or a little lower than the padding, to allow more room for the tuners.Guitar Czar
Spent alot of time researching bass cases etc. to accomodate 12 string headstock. Read distressing reviews of the Ultra Case and problems with heighth (presume to accomodate 6 sting model with Bigsby Tremelo). Measured body, neck, headstock and this was just what I needed for my new Ultra XII twelve string. Nice that Gator puts exact dimensions for their cases on their website (and shown by most vendors offering) to know before ordering if it'll fit…Playin50Years.

Reviews:
Ok yes the build quality is decent and it's good looking. Don't just accept other reviews at face value that this is some kind of panacea of quality. It's fine. Probably wouldn't hold up to heavy regular use but for medium to light use it should be fine. The carrying handle on particular looks like it would wear out quickly. I don't gig a lot anymore so the price/quality seemed good. My biggest complaint and the reason I'm returning it is the sizing is kind of absurd. It's way too big. I bought mainly to use with a Strat and there are big gaps all the way around. Cases of any type only work well when the fit is snug. If there is slop, bad things happen. I've traveled with many types of instruments over the last 20 years and the ones that have never been damaged were the ones that were well fitted in their cases. Picture attached with Strat.DR
This model checks of most of the basic features today's players expect from a high-end gig bag, and does so at an amazing price! The fabric, stitching and padding are top notch. The accessory pocket is classy – I like the removeable pouch that is perfect for a trem arm and setup tools. This gig bag is very ergonomic and is easy to carry. Obviously designed to fit a strat like a glove it may not fit other guitars as well. I did managed to get my Fernandes Retrorocket in it, even with the angled reverse headstock, but it was a bit too muck work. My Warmoth body Strat fits perfectly. Strat/Tele owners should jump all over this insane value. I couldn't be happier.Tim H.
I bought the Fender FE620 guitar gig bag for a Fender Player Stratocaster, I was not disappointed. Three things stand out about this gig bag vs gig bags of the past. First, this case has exceptional padding for the price. Second, the fit is snug, so my guitar will not be moving around in the bag, while in transit. Third, the bumpers on the gig bag not only protect the edges and sides of the gig bag but also will give the guitar the ability to stand against the wall without sliding.

Reviews:
Well made for the money. The picture doesn't really show the quality, but it's there. My Gibson SG standard fits a little loose, but not enough to move around with the lid closed. Latches seem to be solid and not to cheaply made like other competitors product. It gets five stars. Musiciansfriend get five stars also because they made the entire sales process very simple and direct. Thanks for the great job!!!!Tommyb
Sound: N/A Features: The separate interior compartment was one of the reasons for the purchase but nothing fit. Gibson Les Paul Standard doesn't fit. The neck isn't supported thus causing the body to rock back and forth. Kramer Assault 220+ does not fit. Same problem with the neck as the LP. PRS SE Fredrik Akesson doesn't fit because the body is too thick. Ease of Use: N/A Quality: The outer plastic case material felt thin and flimsy. It'll probably protect your guitar during daily carry but I don't think it'll survive an impact. The latches and hinges are terrible. The latch metal and plating is rough and sharp on the edges. All the latch pivot pins are bowed, I suspect from tension keeping the cover closed tight. The hinges are mounted slightly crooked with the middle hinge mounted on a curve so the edges stick out. All around poor selection of hardware and poor workmanship. The blown foam interior is smaller that the case leaving a 1/4 inch space all the way around. The plush interior hides this gap but it's significant. One of the desiccant packets was open inside (?!) and a few of the little pellets are now rolling around underneath … which means there's airspace underneath! I though it was solid foam? Guess not. Value: I'm not sure what fits in this case … properly … but for $109, its quality and workmanship is marginal and a far cry from the PRS hard case I tried for $177. I would put this in the $60 range but maybe I'm expecting too much. Manufacturer Support: N/A The Wow Factor: It looked good until I actually got it in my hands. Overall: Overall, not worth it. Very poor construction. Not sure what fits. Returning it.Paul
The case is road worthy, and does its job of protecting my guitar! As a touring musician (to any musician), that is what matters most. It is a simple good looking case and I am very pleased that I bought it!I've had it for a couple of months, and have traveled and performed through 3 states with it. I live in Florida and deal with weather that is very humid and big up and down temperature changes during the winter and spring months and the case still looks new and continues to keep my guitar safe!Gene M

Reviews:
This Bag had more padding than I expected, based on the Reviews. Of course, I wouldn't recommend it for regular Gigging, Traveling etc. But for around the house, taking your Guitar to practice it's fine. The Fender logo in Red is a classy touch. Of not, my Squier Mustang was a Very tight fit in this Bag. Better than the store brand bags for sure!Terry
The design of the gig bag makes it more suitable for right handed guitars. My left handed tele deluxe has to be put in backwards because of the angled top on the bag. Why couldn’t they make it with a straight top? It’s bad enough being left handed for guitars without unnecessary non-ambidextrous designs of gig bags! Not impressed, FenderReviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Reviews:
I give this bag only 3 stars because unless Gator upgraded the bag or is making it in the U.S., I don't see the reason for the price increase. I bought one of these for a Sterling by Music Man bass as I was under the impression Gator bags were made in the U.S. when, come to find out, they're made in China (as are Fender gig bags). As the photos indicate, this bag will work for a Fender P Bass, but the Fender FB620 is a better bag for that and other Fender bass guitars while presently costing 10 less than the Gator while offering better protection and features. The Gator GB-4G seems to be more of a universal fit bag accommodating a wider range of sizes. The thing it seemed to have going for it the most was its zipper which seemed heavy duty. I say "seemed" because I returned the bass and so the bag as well.Vice
I bought a used guitar for back porch jamming. Needed a gig bag that didn't cost more than the guitar ,but would keep it safe and clean. Stopped at Sam ash because I was certain they had a variety of gig bags. Not my first visit or purchase. The Gator gig bag I chose is the economy for dreadnought guitars by Gator. Great price for my budget and well made. This bag is perfect for my needs. Easy carry and my guitar is covered.Just enough padding in all the right places for my guitar. Also accessory zipper compartment.Lindy
I'm giving this bag only 3 stars on account of the price increase; for it used to cost about 4-5 less than the Fender FE620 but now costs about 10 more than? Unless it has improved features or is being made in the U.S., I don't see the reason for the price increase as the FE620 gig bag provides better protection and features (for Strat size guitars anyway). I purchased one in May 2021 and only because as I was of the impression Gator bags were made in the U.S. when, come to find out, they're made in China (as are Fender gig bags). I should have sized things up beforehand since the Sterling by Music Man Cutlass I bought the bag for is essentially a slightly shorter, slightly sleeker version of a Strat (for which the FE620 was made). The best thing the Gator bag seemed to have going for it was the zipper which seemed rather heavy duty while mesh pockets on the front of a gig bag aren't particularly practical while being subject to tearing/ripping. As you can see by the photos, there's too much room in the bag for a Strat size guitar (though one might be able to insert the headstock into the bag's internal top pocket to prevent the guitar from sliding around too much in the bag). The Gator GB-4G ELEC Series Gig Bag is more of a universal fit bag better suited for guitars longer and/or wider than a Strat.Vice

The Fender Jumbo Acoustic Case is pretty amazing considering it was $69! Lid and latch alignment are spot on. Interior is plush, clean and padded in the right spots. Outside there is slight tolex separation at side seam and slight glue exposure along bottom edge seam but, overall very clean tight workmanship. It fits my Yamaha jumbo very well. Plenty durable for my purposes – going from the house to the car.yawnotec
Purchased Fender's T-bucket Bass a few months ago, but the store didn't have the case. They had to order and the price with shipping was outrageous for me to buy. last week saw the cost of the case with free shipping and to me,from MusiciansFriend. Purchased and a deal that made sense. I have quite a few guitars and they all have cases, Hard Shell. This hard shell case is the perfect fit for my T-Bucket Bass. I can't see owning a guitar without a case.(I don"t even play out anymore), but they are protected. Thank You MusciansFriend.Bassbull
I bought this case mainly as a way to keep my acoustic humidified over the winter. So far it's doing a great job at that. My only issue is that the flap to the storage compartment was cut very crooked leaving a pretty sizable gap on one side. Large enough for a Kyser capo to fit through. For a brand like Fender and for this price, I would expect a little better quality control, so I'm taking one star off. It's not enough of a flaw to send back, but it's definitely enough to be disappointing and irritating. Otherwise great case. I would still recommend it.

ABOUT THE CASE: Already have an SKB case for an acoustic so I figured this would be good. It's even better than I had hoped. After unboxing and handling it, I'm impressed with build quality and they've definitely given some thought to the design. I like the locks; nice and sturdy but designed to be opened easily. There's a hidden little lever behind each latch that pops it open quite easily. The rubberized handle is easy & comfy to grip, and it's oversized to allow for big hands, or maybe gloves in colder weather. And the texturing on the two main panels allows for easy & stable stacking if you have multiple cases. On the inside, the plush is nice and my Jaguar's body fits super-snug in the inner contours of the case. Neck fit is nice and snug all the way down, no wiggle there at all. *Very happy* with the security & stability of the guitar inside this case. It's like they molded it to *this specific* guitar. I've seen people note & complain re the lack of a cover flap for the storage areas. Meh. The inner top panel of the case is flat and closes over it snug, so I don't see a problem unless you're hauling contraband lol. I'm just a hobbyist so I'll probably never need to take it on tour, but it seems worthy at least for ground travel.ABOUT THE PURCHASE/DELIVERY: Got it as an open-box returned item and I am elated re. the condition of the case and the price I paid. Shipping was on schedule, in fact it arrived about 12 hours ahead of projected time. Satisfied all around.josh-83407
I got this case as a recommendation for my mustang. Being a Jazzmaster/Jag case, it wasn't a perfect fit for the mustang, but with a bit of foam and socks I was able to make it work. The build quality of the case is OK. When it's shut the edges don't line up perfectly sometimes but whatever. Definitely not as high quality as my Fender elite case for the telecaster, but it gets the job done. So far I've logged over 10 domestic flights, 2 international flights, a few train and bus rides with this case. It's been dropped, it's been through rain, had luggage fall on it, so far so good.Todar Maal

This is the coolest case. Had to modify the inner brace that secures the guitar neck because it was too narrow for the neck to fit. I just removed it and re-shaped it. Superglue held it securely, again. Now, you can see in the photo it fits the guitar neck perfectly. When the case is shut, the guitar stays in its place. I just wish the handle was attached at the center like other cases and not to right of center. This is definitely recommended for any Axe Heaven guitar you have which can be displayed in the case or on its stand.
This is case is impressive & rugged. Had to do a slight modification to the inner brace that secures the guitar neck because it was too narrow for the neck to fit. I just removed it, re-shaped it and secured it with Superglue (Unfortunately, not being paid to say 'Superglue'). You can see in the photo it fits the guitar neck perfectly. When the case is shut, the guitar stays secure in its place. Just not sure why the handle wasn't attached at the center of the case. As you can see in the pic, this is definitely recommended for the actual 60th anniversary Fender but any Axe Heaven Fender guitar will look great, resting in peace!John564Holloway

The Jag front strap pin is too long and the headstock is also about an inch too long. The Tele is sweet though.Jamie
17. Fender Fe610 Multi-Fit Electric Guitar Gig Bag
Product Details:
Reviews:
Beautifully designed and very attractive. It is perfect for short-term transportation of a Fender guitar. Well padded, with pockets for carrying extras. Excellent value for such a reasonable price. I love my Fender Telecaster and American Stratocaster, and I trust this gig-bag to keep them safe in short-term usage: taking to gigs or carrying the guitar personally. Obviously, for journeys where the guitar might be in the hold of an aeroplane or a van/bus, a hard case would be preferable, but if you are transporting a guitar personally, then this great-looking bag does the job brilliantly. Very highly recommended.5110nigel
Amazing hardy durable gig case, thick zips and heavy duty outer material. Inner padding feels nice, firm and cushioned. Love the roomy front pockets for accessories, the backpack straps and chunky cushioned handle. I got the same series for my bass guitar prior to this and couldn't be happier with both of them! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend 😀 😀 😀Ben W.

Reviews:
I bought the Gator GWE Hardshell case for a Squier Affinity Stratocaster project. The case holds the guitar firmly in place with no movement. I was a bit surprised at the good quality of the case at the price point. It wouldn't hold up to excessive abuse, but for storage purposes it works fine.Kenneth
Overall: I got this case because I read a review that a Fender Telecaster would fit in it. What that review lacked is that it fits SNUG. I have to press the guitar into the case for it to fit. After some time I'm sure the case will "mold" to my tele but I just thought I should let you all know that before you buy it. I'm a pretty easy going musician but I know some people might be put off by that. The case has a soft interior and it appears to be very cheap but usable. If the insides of this case ever fall out, I'll just super glue it at a later date. Nice for what you pay for.The little storage cubby inside of the case is small. It fits my capo, a set of strings, picks and one lava cable. Sometimes you have to rearrange the things inside for the case to allow you to close it but again, I'm easy going. One of the latches on the outside seems to fit more loose than the others. Thankfully it's not a big deal when all of the latches are…erm.. latchedOverall it's a decent purchase. Keeps my tele out of a soft case.
Bought this case along with a Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster thinking it wouldn’t be as nice as the similar Fender case that is around $80 more but I did think it would at least be a solid, protective case. It is not. Exchanged emails with AMS to authorize an exchange for the SKB case and was made aware exchanges are not allowed on Easy payment options. Makes sense, I just wasn’t aware and I’m sure I’m not the first caught off guard. Opted to return for a refund and was told card on file would be charged around twelve bucks. To return a junky case that has carpet on the interior lifting up, and that also has “tolex” pulling apart on the outside. Lame. Just get the skb, or even better, order the deluxe molded fender case from someone who stocks it and hopefully stands behind the products they sell. Maybe just a byproduct of the Amazon era where decades old retailers are essentially operating like a punk distro…..Ty
19. Gator Gb-4g-Elecx2 4g Series Gig Bag For 2 Electric Guitars
