The speaker cabinet was promptly shipped and arrived with no damage. Breaking in the stock speakers now. The 2 12" speakers sound better that I expected for the price point as I was expecting to swap out the stock speakers right away, but I will wait and see. The whole package is a screamin deal! Might buy another one.Pat H.
Purchased the SA-212 cab about a year ago now and I've just gotten done putting it through the paces. Major kudos to Seismic Audio for making an affordable 2×12 with surprising sturdy build quality with excellent clarity and depth to match! I run my EMG X-Series equipped seven string guitar through a Peavey 6505 head with a boost in front and a graphic EQ in the fx loop like any (in)sane metal head would. I would be lying if I said I haven't been completely floored by this cabinet since day one. The top end is clear and crisp and there's enough deep bass to crumble sheetrock walls lol. It definitely has a voicing all its own and it honestly might sound better than my Mesa 2×12 with V30s. It took me a little re-learning how to dial in my amp to get the most out of it, but when I finally found "that" tone, I knew it was gonna be one heck of a ride and faces have melted accordingly. If you're on the fence like I was, take the chance with this cab. I am farest from disappointed and I'm sure you will be too.
The cab I bought did not have the center front to back brace that was in the photos at the the time. I brought this up with Seismic and they said "oops, we didn't know" basically. They updated the photos since but offered nothing to me. Also, "carpet" is a loose description of the covering. It's felt. Internal edge bracing does not go from edge to edge. It starts at the floor of the cabinet but stops a few inches from the top of the cabinet. The back and walls are an inexpensive particle board. The front baffle is as described. You will need to drill and add your own t-nuts and mounting screws. For the money, it's a decent cab but is not pro quality. Good for simple home use. Shipment and correspondence were quick as always with Seismic.

I recently received a 1×12 speaker cab and I am impressed with the entire experience. The ordering process was easy, the price was right and the build quality of the cabinet is great. My only criticism is that the product description is generic. I was surprised to receive an open back cabinet. That is ok and will suit my purposed but that quality was not in the product description.Gary S.
Well built Great customer serviceLarry B.
Tired of the 4×12 loaded one alnico blue with my '68 bass man head and this screams. Should have done this years ago Great cabinet, extremely well constructed.Peter T.

Very impressive construction. The only (minor) problem is the mounting hardware for the speakers do not line up with the EMINENCE speakers I put in. It's only a minor problem because TWO of four positions on the speakers DO line up and hold the speakers firmly in place. Very well built, great price, quick delivery time. Well done.James T.
The Quality is Excellent. I paid the high price figuring I was helping a small American company make it thru these Covid times. I believe it's made overseas, not the end of the world, still helping somebody. There are many struggling Musicians and gear companies at this time. I rotate an Eminence Texas Heat and a Vintage 30 and they both sound great cranked up and at low volume with many different heads pushing it . I'm satisfieddatie_28
I was looking for a horizontal 212 cab and found your company. This thing is great!!!! I installed a couple of speakers I had and it matches my guitar head just great!! Quality built and should stand a lifetime of playing. Price was right also. I could not have built one any cheaper that looks this good. I will be adding a carry strap to top but that is my only negative. Great job everybody!!WILLIAM T.

Purchased this cab recently and installed a Jenson 1×12 speaker. Amazing quality and craftsmanship for the money. This is a well built cab and prewired with predrilled holes. Had the speaker installed wired and jamming in ten minutes. This cab has nice birch plywood and a steal at this price!Dwight P.
Extraordinary build quality, especially at this price point!Jay H.
This is a great cabinet for the money, and I think you would be hard pressed to find a better value. Mine arrived blemish free, was solidly built and wired up for an easy speaker installation. I really like the wheat grille too, and think it's a nice look. I wish the Seismic nameplate was removeable, but that's not a big deal. Don't listen to the negative jackelopes out there saying "Seismic is garbage, get Avatar" etc etc. Sure Avatar is better, but it's also 2X the cost. I seriously believe these Seismic cabs would fit the bill for like 90% of players needs out there. The 90% that are not Slash, Steve Vai or David Gilmour.Jason W.

This is my third Seismic Cab and I'm happy with all of them. For the money they are an absolute steal. This 1×12 has a nice full sound and the bass response of a much larger cabinet. The removable grill baffles on these are a fantastic feature. They are easy to load, well made, and sound fantastic.Lucien V.
I got my 1×12 cabinet for compact use. It works and sound great. Bad knees and joints from being prior military makes a 412 or 212 hauling to practice or gigs a pain, so compartmentalizing it all is good. It’s way easier to swap speakers too. It’s sturdy which is good. I recommend it.William B.
This is my second Seismic 1×12. The first one I bought was years ago… this new one has some improvements over the original in terms of fit n finish. When I bought the first one, you had to install the T nuts your self. This one came with them pre installed. The only issue for this cab is the spacing holes are meant for Celestion and my example did not fit my Eminence speaker at all! So if you are planning to load an Eminence speaker in here, you may have issues. Otherwise…. I really do not think you can beat these. Those 440live cabinets aren't even as good.Max S.

I paired this Cabinet with the new Celestion 150W “Redback”. It sounds amazing with both my Matchless Avalon, and my Benson Monarch Heads! The Custom Porthole Size in the back makes all the difference! Thanks Seimic!!Cole L.

One bolt hole didn’t line up with speaker hole. Great cabs though , got 2 of them . Like the full sound I get from them.Joseph L.
I've been playing guitar for almost 40 years and always in search of the right cabinet to compliment my many amp heads. Fortunately, I found this cabinet and it has performed perfectly. It is solid and has a great sounds. I found it to be very well built and the price couldn't be beat. I have gigged out with this cabinet many times and have recommended Seismic Audio cabinets to many of my musician friends.
This particular cab was missing one set of bolt but the mount points don't ever align with all four points on these cabs. You get 2 or 3 points you can actually use. The speaker cut outs aren't even but its covered with a grill. Despite that if you can snag one for under $200 I would certainly buy Seismic cab (I have 3 so far) over building it myself or buying it from someone else.Peter H.

This EVH 2×12 cab sounds perfect with my EVH head. Small and doesn't take up much room. Just got it with a EVH head last month. solid birch plywood so it's not cheap MDF. The 12" 30watt Celestion anniversary speakers packs a huge punch. Would sound great with any amp head. If you're thinking about a high end 2×12 cab look no further.
This evh 2×12 screams! The build quality is superb and extremely high, the Celestions are super detailed and the sound is massive, I purchased a amp stand and threw this bad boy on it and now it stands at about 5 ft and half from the floor and it drowns out the drummer , I never really liked 4×12 cabs unless it was mic'd because live they sound a bit muffled since they sit closer to the floor, This 2×12 has a massive sound quality!Chris
Overall: Got this as I was tired of lugging a 4 x12 around as I play out a lot. If you own the 5150 EVH 50 watt then get the matching cab. It makes such a huge difference. This cabinet has really changed the sound of the head. Notes are so much cleaner and cuts through so much better then the blackstar 4 x 12 I was using. And it is actually way louder than my 4 x 12 or at least sounds like it mainly because how well it cuts through the mix. I have played 3 shows in the last 2 weeks with it. 2 of them the cabs werent miked and i was only on like 4 on the volume and this thing filled up the room with ease in a loud punk/metal band. Miked through a real PA and it sounds amazing. I have played my evh 5150 head through, marshall, orange, blackstar, and mesa cabinets and this is still the best sounding cabinet with the EVH head.Kevin

I love this cabinet, its my third, I run the awesome SVT Pro 4. This cabinet will handle anything you throw at it, and the sound is amazing. The SVT Pro 4 and this cabinet, is a monster, and it has never let me down. I swayed from Ampeg once (Huge Mistake) I have stayed with this set up for years, and continue to stay with Ampeg. Also you can't beat all the cool people who work at AMS, and their customer service is simply amazing. You can't go wrong with Ampeg and AMS.Daniel
Sound: very responsive, great mids for cutting though the mix all while retaining that THUMP!! Features: needs a tougher covering, I owned a svt 410 hlf and it had same problem, Ease of Use: no curve its a speaker cab it puts out what you dial in on your amp Quality: looks amazing!!! just needs tougher covering Value: Its a tad expensive but oh so worth every penny Manufacturer Support: have not needed to The Wow Factor: Ya it an AMPEG look sweet on stage!! Overall: Wow I've played bass for 30+ years. owned many cabs and amps, I cant say enough about the sound AMAZING. the only thing I would like to see is tougher covering on cab it tears easy. its a tad heavy but it so worth it. the wheels and bar make it easy to roll around. I use an Ampeg SVT 7 PRO plenty of power for outside shows, you will love the thump!!!!! this cab is amazing do yourself and favor and pick one up.Paul
I've had Ampeg SVT's since the 70's. This is the US made cabinet and it is solid and well made with a sound that every bassist would die for. These are the features that mean the most to me: – Nice Punch Sound – Will Fill Any Venue when Paired with the SVT Amp. – The casters are really solid and mounted to stay. – The cabinet is solid. This is exactly what I expected.

The construction is good, especially for the price. I swapped out the bass speakers and put in some Eminence Big Ben 15 inch guitar speakers. This thing is incredible. I will buy another soon. I did not use the bass speakers but they appear to be of good quality.Derek L.
I was looking for an inexpensive bass cab for an old head I had so I didn't need anything too fancy, or pricey. I'm a guitarist so I don't geek out too much on bass gear. Just wanted something with excellent Value for Money as a routine principle– SA delivered. I set it up the other day and put it through it's paces. It's sturdy, manageable in weight, clean, and sounds like a monster 2×15 should. Will be adding casters of some sort though I am able to one-hand carry in the upright position like a heavy suitcase without too much trouble. Would definitely recommend the product and the manufacturer based on this purchase.Peter P.
Awesome cab. I have a Hartke HA5500 hooked to it and it sounds amazing. Deep bass and great mids and highs. 66lbs so not too heavy at all. I installed casters and stand it on its side. Looks great and everything is at arm level. Have played a few gigs with it so far and so far so good!Jeffrey M.

These little cabs weigh only 29lbs but pack the punch of a cab weighing three times as much. Lots of bottom end with warmth and clarity in the middle. And they handle a whopping 400W! Easy to carry from gig to gig – I play professionally for a living and probably play 300+ dates/year, so the combination of travel convenience and performance is key where my needs are concerned. I just can't say enough good about these NY 121's. I currently own two and drive them (either individually or together on larger gigs) with a Walter Woods amp and use them with both my electric basses and upright basses with great success. and by the way, these little cabs handle the bottom-end thunder of the low "B" from any five-string bass with great ease. They really deliver!RS
I use this as an extension cabinet for my Markbass Mini CMD 121P Combo. It matches perfectly and makes the Markbass sound – just that much louder. Crisp, clear, and with dry mids and plenty of bottom. Great and for getting a modern, hi-fi sound. The cabinet was a little bit heavier than I expected based on its tiny size, but it is by no means a backbreaker. I bought covers for both my combo and cabinet and move them effortlessly on a folding two-wheel cart. I expect the cabinet to be reliable enough for my needs as long as I don't push it too much.JCerio2
I got this cab for my GK MB-500. When you live in NYC, you need to have a super portable and loud enough gear. At first I got a GK MBE210, but it was too bulky and hard to carry around so I got the Mark Bass New York 121and what a surprise! This cab sounds so much better than any cab I ever used (GK and Ampeg). It can handle a great deal of volume and it's loud enough to play with a drummer. It has a lot of low end but also it brings out crystal clear high frequencies. It made my Warwick basses shine like I've never heard them before. As for my Fender American standard P bass, It sounded good, but since the P Bass has a more vintage sound I think it didn't benefit from the cab. So definitely if you use an active bass that has beautiful highs you're going to love the New York 121. The size of the cab is great. it's small enough but still looks good on stage. It looks like it weight less than it really is. My only criticism, is that I wish it was a few pound lighter. But don't get me wrong, at 29 lb. it's very easy to carry around. I highly recommend this bass cab to anyone who gigs and have to carry their gear on subways or any public transportation.

Just the addition/sonic expansion I was looking for to accompany my 300w bass amp that I use at home. The combination of my amp's 2" tweeter & 15" speaker partnered with the Phil Jones CAB-47's four 7" speakers & 2" tweeter give just the right punch for my Aguilar equipped P/J bass. Now I can dial in everything from Larry Graham to Geddy Lee; from deep lows to tight highs and everything in between. Nice!JPS

Getting the negative out of the way, this won't rumble anything like a larger speaker, it certainly lacks in the "feel it" department. However, paired with a normal 4×10 is pretty exciting. Positives: Clarity, even though it doesn't rumble, the lows are there, even with my 5 string. Mids and Highs sound great. Volume is on par with my larger cabs. Size (& fairly light), the thing can fit in the back seat of my king cab. Context: my live rig varies between peaveys 1×15, 4×10, and 2×10 (any combination). I wouldn't hesitate to bring this out on the road to save space. So far, it's been great to play at home and did very well in a thrash metal practice. We're loud, and I could still hear me through everything even with it so low on the floor. At a home practice setting, my fretless sounded great.Kosmo

Featuring the same gorgeous, distinctive darkglass look with carbon fiber tolex, now loaded with custom-made eminence neodymium drivers for a super low-weight solution with massive and present tone, performance, and reliability. warning always use good quality speaker cables. the longer the cable the more heat will be dissipated by it which results in less power transduced by the speaker itself. never use instrument cable (shielded) for connecting an amplifier to a cabinet. this cabinet can produce very loud sounds, exposure to high levels of sound can damage your ears. use proper protection if you are exposed to loud noises.
Reviews:
Love this cabinet, matches perfectly with my Darkglass Microtubes 500v2. I was for a second thinking to get the 2×12 as it has double output and would squeeze all the power of the amp but glad I got this 2×10, from my experience this is more than enough and are often more define whilst plenty of bass still. Love mine!Ander M.

This cab is EXACTLY what I needed. I was using (2) Hartke 112 cabs, which are killer. But adding this baby to the mix just sealed the deal on the low end rumble I wanted. LOVE!Marco
I love this cab. The sound is fantastic. I’ve been playing harke since I started on bass however I do wish it was a 1000 watt like the 4×10. Don’t get me wrong though this is a great piece of equipmentChristian
I'm very satisfied with the overall performance from the HD115. I plan on adding the 4×10 or 2×12 soon.KEVTONE

I paired this with the 1000 watt stu mark bass head…it is absolutely incredible. The clarity, punch, lows and highs. The only thing i would add is another one …or 3…lolAdam
This thing is a tank! I cant whate to get my hands on one. My ampeg 810 is going to get sold. The hart stopping power of this is in stadium standards. Not for thoes looking to play small dive bars. By far the best cab I have ever played through.Jake
V pohodě si ho kamkoliv přestěhuji sám- tahání do schodů, nakládka do auta apod. není problém. Navíc je rozměrově trochu drobnější oproti jiným osmidesítkám, takže i skladování je o něco pohodlnější. Za mě jednoznačně nejlepší "lednice" na trhu!Jan
