I bought a used acoustic guitar for my son to learn on. I didn't realize exactly how much grime was on this guitar until I used this system. I wasn't happy with other methods of cleaning this guitar. It just didn't shine when I was done. I tried this and it looks brand new! The cloths were filthy when I was done. No wonder it didn't shine with other methods of cleaning. I didn't use the cloths in the kit because I didn't want to ruin them with all the dirt that was still on the guitar. I bought this kit to clean up a demo model acoustic bass that I just bought. The finish had been slightly worn in several spots and the neck was very dirty. This kit easily did the job. After a couple hours of buffing and scrubbing, my bass seriously looks brand new. I did have to apply a couple coats of the wax, but the finish looks flawless now. Most impressively, however, is how nice the fretboard looks after applying the conditioner. The other products are great as well; although, I haven't tried the string cleaner yet. Seems to do the job as the colour of the cloth after you wipe it down suggests. Not a massive fan of the smell personally. Nice little tin to store it in and should last a long time. The cloth provided does fray and leave little bits on the strings every now and then. I expect the cloth won’t last as long as the main product. I've been using fast Fret for as long as I can remember. A quick wipe after every gig and the strings soud better and last a lot longer. Before I started using it I would break a string maybe every gig (and always had to have a spare guitar ready) but once I started using Fast Fret I was getting more like 6 gigs out of a set of strings. So it pays for itself quite quickly, and lasts a very long time. It is worth noting though, that it is essentially just mineral oil and is not really magic formula. You can buy mineral oil cheaply on eBay (search for chopping board oil) and that's the same stuff. But what makes Fast Fret worth it is the applicator – it prevents you from putting too much on and having a load to wipe off again. It also helps look after your fretboard too, as most lemon oil fingerboard cleaners/conditioners are just made of mineral oil too – there are no lemons in lemon oil 🙂 Anyway, I would recommend it – buy with confidence! I have been using Fast-Fret for decades on ALL of my stringed instruments and it is the ONLY string treatment I will use. I have found that applying Fast-Fret after EVERY use of my guitars, banjos and mandolin can prolong string life for more than twelve months. As an experiment some years ago, I left a set of Fast-Fret maintained stings on one of my guitars to see how long they would remain in good playable condition, and they lasted for more than three years. I'm not saying strings should be kept on an instrument that long as the wire will become tired and lose brightness and tone over time, even when kept clean and corrosion free. But I regularly keep strings on instruments for up to 12 months because Fast-Fret can extend string life for a very long time… If applied thoroughly and religiously to your strings after using your instrument. Experience has taught us that Corrosion and dirt are the enemies of metal strings. This because, the oily salts & acid from contact with fingers and hands is the Number One cause of Premature String Death. Finally, I have to say I love the new design of Fast-Fret. It's new plastic end cap and metal can packaging significantly extends the life of the product.Groovintheblues

Especially the fact that it is safe for any fingerboard wood like maple and ebony!The fret polishing kit is another personal favorite of mine. It takes such little effort to shine those frets back to like new. The polish is great for light swirl marks from picks or other light mishaps. The detailer sprays add a nice depth and shine to the finishes. The included tools in this kit just make it a steal. From the brushes to specialized rags and cloths. One last note is that there are no harsh chemicals as it is all natural and has very little to no smell at all. If you haven’t tried their Amp and Case cleaner, I highly recommend it as well. Up for sale a diy unfinished jackson style 6 string project. many pictures to show every inch of this project. i don t believe there s any major dings or exposed paint scuffs. the neck is pretty much ready other than some minor binding scraping. pretty sweet neck that is already mounted and laid out for the body. custom pick guard needs to be finished but fits the layout of the body. some routing still required for the right pickup location (as pictured) could do this with a chisel if you don t want to route. planned to use a hard tail and is laid out for the correct placement.the controls layout didn t match my idea so i plugged the back hole and needs to be scraped flush, and touched up if you want to use the paint job as/is. to be clear this project has a really nice neck and a generic body that will make a sweet instrument according to my layout. feel free to buy this cheap and have a nice guitar. thanks for looking, jimk

These products worked amazingly on my smudged, filthy, abused and neglected Oscar Schmidt classical that I bought for cheap, and turned it into a shiny like-new instrument. The spray bottle stuff works great. The fretboard oil will amaze you with what it can do to bring that old dried out fretboard back to showroom condition (or even better condition). The polish ("wax" type of stuff) I don't really care for too much, but I honestly don't like using any "wax" type of stuff on guitars or anything else frankly. I did try the polish, and it seems to work well for it's purpose though. The 2 cleaning cloths work great.Ghetto D
After being disappointed with the results of a few other polishes, cleaners and oils MusicNomad was recommended, and I was astonished at the results. While it was not able to remove some of the yellowing on my older nitro cellulose paint the polish was able to remove swirls and other light scratches that I had been used to seeing on my 24 year old Ibanez from Japan. I used the polish from the kit along with the wax sold separately and have found it much easier to keep the fingerprints and shmegma that accumulates off the guitars. The F-One oil is amazing and stays around for a long time without the greasy feeling. The spray wax is best for maintenance after playing. A light mist on the great microfiber cloth and any hints of the last session are wiped away. I used the polish on the finish, but I also used it on the frets, lightly and they were even more smooth than they were, and they had just been polished via 2 ways, with fret eraser and #0000 steel wool.
