1. Tc Electronic – Ditto Looper Pedal
Product Details:
Ditto looper is the looper you try once and love for life. and you simply gotta try it. we've taken all that is good about loopers, trimmed away all the non-essential, mood-killing tech hoopla and ended up with a looper that is intuitive, tons of fun, sounds great and doesn't break the bank.

Reviews:
I used this at home with 10 other effect pedals. I really liked the sound quality and ease of use. I was very disappointed when the footswitch broke after about a year or so. Read online this brand has an issue with the switches so that's a deal breaker for me. I went with an MXR delay to replace it because I've had several MXR pedals for many years with great sound and no trouble.Scott
Perfect for practicing. Lay down a simple rhythm loop then you can practice over the top – it's like having an inexhaustible rhythm guitarist jamming with you. Easy overdubs & undos means you can also build up interesting sounds with lots of depth and different sounds. (tip: play your progression through, then without stopping hit the button on the 'one' beat to start recording, then hit it again on another 'one' beat to stop recording/start playing the loop. can be as many bars long as you like – 5 min recording time is way more than I'd ever need!) With only one button and one volume knob it's very simple to use. Many other loopers are so complicated (boss rc-3 I'm looking at you), they take the fun out of just plugging in and jamming. Of course if you need the complication of a drum machine built in to your looper pedal then this one isn't for you). The sound out of this thing is perfect. I use it with many pedals and they all sound great recorded and played back (an analog delay, a few fuzzes, metal zone, overdrive, distortion, phaser, big muffs, small clone, tube screamer) – just be sure to put the looper last in your pedal chain. I'd highly recommended this to anyone thinking about getting a looper. The build quality is great, the button feels sturdy & it's very small. The only thing I'd change about it would be to add the ability to export your recorded loop via the usb, but on this model the usb is only for updating it's firmware. I think the more expensive ditto loopers have this function… but overall I think it's the best pedal I've ever owned!girlbefore

Early days but, so far, I love it. I already have a Ditto Stereo, so I knew what to expect. This was really bought for the 'stop' and 'fade' functions for live performance, but I really like the ways that the two loop functions can be used together. The real test will be when I get a chance to use it for a gig.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Like said in a previous review, right out of the box there's a good chance this won't do much for you. Being able to use the TonePrint feature is vital to making this pedal sing, but once you find that one you need, you'll be in heaven. I play rhythm guitar in an alternative rock band that would basically sound cheesy with a chorus pedal, for the most part, but there is one song that needs the brightness and body offered by a chorus. The default chorus here is either too light or too heavy for my style, it's really impossible to dial in to my sound, but I started messing around with the TonePrints on the app. The first one that caught my ear was a reproduction of the Boss CE-2, and dang, the pure analog chorus sound was breathtaking. Airy if you want it to be, soaking wet if you want that too. The three knobs here on this pedal are really all you could want, and are perfect for dialing in just the right kind of effect to start with, then laying in how much of that effect you want to lay over your dry sound. I really liked the CE-2 copy sound, but I kept trying more TonePrints, and finally found the Brian May one. This was the ticket. Just transparent enough for me at almost any setting, and also brought along that brightness that Brian is known for. The TonePrint app allows me to keep both in my favorites to use at a moment's notice, but I have to say that I keep mine on the Brian May "Chorus1" Print almost all the time. There's so many different Prints though… there's the TriChorus available in a few different versions which is way too thick for what I want, but I imagine it would make a heavily distorted guitar sound really work in a chorusy way, plus tons of other artist Prints. If I found what I needed, I'm sure you can find what will work for you too. I stuck with the Mini just because if I had the full size Corona, I'd stay on the TonePrint switch all the time, which this pedal already basically does. Great value for exactly what I want.SteeringWheelSpotlight
In the past I had had a SCF+ Chorus, and that pedal is perfect. I sold it to a friend before I moved to the US and, because I was missing a chorus in my pedalboard (and I also liked the Flashback Delay), I decided to give Corona a try. I bought this pedal with a discount coupon plus some Backstage Points. Well, unfortunatelly, the Corona disappointed me. Ok, it's well built, it has a good cost-benefit ratio, the option for dual or tri-chorus makes a difference on the "detune" effect, and there are some Toneprint adjusts that can help you to shape your tone… but I think I set the bar too high, thinking that I would get different chorus/flanger/vibrato sounds on it. I wouldn't. I spent some time with the Toneprint Editor, trying to tweak Corona in order to discover new sounds. All the modulations have a similar sound, and the vibrato and flanger doesn't remember the SCF at all. I understand if Corona had offering all modulations in full mode, there would be no reason for other models (Shaker and Vortex), but even the chorus sounds aren't so diverse. You can use speed and depth, and there is a nice hi-pass filter, but if you think Toneprint has many different chorus sounds, maybe you should test that pedal before buying. Also, Corona delivers a specific medium-high frequency (not noticeable on the original SCF+) that shaped the tone a little bit, taking out some of the transparency I expected. TC could fix that EQ issue inserting a multi-band EQ inside the editor. Finishing, don't take me wrong: Corona is a nice pedal, maybe the best option among other chorus pedals with the same price. The technology within allows TC to improve user experience. But don't expect too much.Victor

Reviews:
This pedal was fairly cheap, and it does work, so I dont want to knock that part of it. However, The sound quality is terrible. I saw one review that said, after three or four layers of sound it starts to sound muddy. I feel that was an understatement. A single play back loop sounds muddy to me. Ill still use it to practice with, but Im not very impressed. Save your money, and buy a better quality looper.guitarded5150

Does everything you want from a high quality loop pedal, and a bit more. Basic compared to some of the more complex pedals out there, but having what is basically two high quality single loop pedals in one that can play in parallel or series gives you so much more scope for creativity in your loops.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
I truly love the design of this product, don't get me wrong. But the dedicated stop switch is lacking. You have to double tap the stop to truly stop the loop, otherwise it plays until the end of the loop phrase and THEN stops. For a pedal advertised as "the guitarists looper" it seems more geared towards being midi synced with a sequencer, which is great if you overlook the fact most guitarists are unfamiliar with midi and are usually uninterested in using drum machines and sequencers. As a veteran looper, I realize the biggest problem is making loops on time. I've gotten pretty good at looping on time, but the occasional live screw up is still pretty hard to avoid l.With my boss rc20 I would simply record the entire verse, press stop instead of play when I get to the chorus, and solo over the verse after the chorus section, effectively avoiding off time loops altogether by never reaching the actual end of the phrase where the sort of "sound seam" of a loop is, which is always totally noticable if you're not perfectly on time. With the Ditto x4 it instead of incorporating a true dedicated stop, Tc electronics assumed everybody has a metronome sequenced to their looper and designed the stop to work such as that of a sequencer. This is a pretty unbelievablly stupid move in my opinion, considering this pedal is geared towards guitarists, not EDM DJs. I'm not your average guitarist, so I actually am interested in its midi applications. I'm not saying it isn't a neat idea to have midi sync on a pedal, but the pedal shouldn't revolve around that feature. I've been working on finding ways around the lack of a true dedicated stop, like getting good at double tapping on time. Pretty annoying to have to do when the thing has four buttons. Also, they should have made one of the effects simply a dedicated "undo" function. But the design? Perfect. Perhaps they could issue a software update to fix some of the bugs. I would be really happy with TC Electronics I'd they did.Bloth Wood

9. Tc Electronic Ditto Jam X2 Looper Pedal
Product Details:
This was a gift i got last year. it's only been used a handful of times and has never left my smoke-free, pet-free home. it's a bit more looper pedal than i need, right now, but it would be perfect for someone who has an application for its unique features. comes with original box, documentation, included microphone (for getting the tempo from the drums) and stickers.
Specifications:
Technology | BeatSense |
Case Material | Metal |
Jack Size | 3.5 mm |
Microphone | Yes |
Audio Depth | 24-bit |
Reviews:
While I usually enjoy TC products, this looper seems poorly thought out. I found two major problems with it: First, the "Beat Sense" mics on the unit, as expected, respond much too slowly to any change in rhythm. (Yes I know it comes with an external mic as well, but I was only testing the device with my guitar, and it should have been easy for it to pick up my groove). Second: It seems to me that the whole concept of this box is bizarre. Once you have activated beat sense, it continues to "listen to" and change the groove as you are playing! And unless you, or your drummer are like some kind of robotic drum machine, there's no way in hell you're going to be able to follow a device that is already trying to follow you! What you end up with is a constantly moving target, or in other words, a constantly changing groove. This is insanity in my eyes (or ears). I bought one of these, tried it for days, and finally returned it. Really. Don't waste your time or money on this looper.stevenw7652
The whole main reason I got this pedal was pretty simple. I wanted to be able to record riffs and songs of myself playing through this pedal, and then I wanted to save them to my computer. The looper only stores five minutes at a time, so I thought that's ok because I would save riffs onto my computer, and then whenever I wanted to, load them back onto the looper, I thought that would be fine. NOOO! This feature does not work for this pedal. You cannot record yourself playing, then save it onto a computer, delete it from the pedal and then load it back onto the pedal with the computer. This feature doesn't work. You can go through the motions that the manual says to do, but as soon as you plug the pedal into an amp, nothing plays! I was really frustrated and angry. TC Electronics product service lies and says that there pedals don't have such a problem. The firmware update doesn't solve the matter. I thought I would write this review so that other buyers understand what they are getting.Sociopathic
What goes in is what comes out. Have used it for well over a 100 gig's. Bought from MF in 2014.Stop Switch is a Must on a Looper for Live performance & This does it in spades. Having to Double Tap is too risky in performance even for the best toe tappers. Every once in a great moon, record switch just stays on (Of course with No Sound),so I have quickly unplugged power cord & reinsert, then all is fine. That is the only qwirk, & once again probably 3 times in 3 years. I don't stomp hard on it cause you don't have to. If you beat on it, sure, it'll give you problems. I use this one for on the fly, & Digitech XT with 3 button switch for Backing Tracks. 4 Stars only because of said qwirk.Other then the qwirk, "It's Great"…..Thanks MF.Mac

Reviews:
I have rarely relied on a loop machine in my 33+ years of performing music. I've had a DigiTec JamMan for a long time but found it too difficult to co-ordinate short phrases into a piece. I used it more with sampling of ambient sound than musical phrases. I've only had the Boss RC-500 for a short time but already find it much easier to use. I haven't even experimented with the percussion aspects but I can see great possibilities. I'm a great fan of Boss and Roland. They make quality , well thought out, aids for musical expression. What a creative company they are, indeed!Ralph
Have not used it live yet. Still getting friendly with it. There are a lot of rhythm patterns to choose from but many of them are very similar. Some of the functions I would have thought would be accessible through MIDI are not, but there are ways to work around most of them. Overall it seems like a great unit for a moderate price. The sound quality is very good. One disappointment is that I had the impression you could download rhythm patterns to replace the ones you don't care to use – you can't download them as rhythms, only as backing tracks. Look for the reference manual (not the owners manual) and study it before you buy if you have specific expectations.Glenn K
I decided to buy a looper last year to use primarily for practice, and for easily capturing ideas and riffs. I settled on the Boss RC-1 and it performed great. The biggest limitation was only being able to capture one idea at a time. I started looking around for something with more memory locations and I found the RC-5 as an upgrade. I am blown away by the included drums and the device's ability to determine the tempo. As a tool for capturing multiple ideas and being able to back them up to a PC, this is perfect. I haven't tested the midi capability yet. I could easily see using this in an actual performance in the future. It's pedalboard-friendly size makes it very easy to carry around.Joe G
15. Keeley Eccos Delay & Looper Pedal
Product Details:
The eccos delay looper this pedal has been used about 5 – 6 times, its a bit too complex for my simple mind. however, and most importantly it's been looked looked after. i have never gigged this pedal and it is in great condition. the eccos delay looper is based on a new stereo, flanged delay tone. create beautiful sounding tape style delay lines and then spin them endless with the looper! designed to be at home in live pro rigs or bedroom studios while experimenting. the keeley eccos is a delay-looper workstation with superb sound quality and abundant features. there are even more functions lurking within eccos super-sturdy shell, like sound-on-sound recording capabilities and a runaway feedback oscillator, but, alas, not enough space to talk at length about them here. suffice to say that if you re prospecting for classic analog delay colours alongside authentic-sounding studio flange effects, and dig the convenience of easy looping, the eccos is well worth mining.
Specifications:
Reviews:
Im switching from a TC Electronics Delay x4 to the Eccos. The Eccos takes up far less pedalboard space and the tape-flange-modulation is a new color to explore. (I have other dedicated loopers, so its unlikely I will use the looper potion of the Eccos pedal.). Sound quality is exceptional. I will miss the TCs reverse delay… but maybe Keeley will add it in an update? Love the stereo functionality. Now… what goes in all that pedalboard space Ive opened up?andy_rox
I own several delay pedals which I primarily use for my synths but I was looking for a much cleaner crisper sounding delay for my guitar. I know that a lot of people love their Strymon pedals, (I do own several) but I prefer the ECCOS over my El Capistan for my personal usage in the area.ADAM
The more you play with it the better it gets. Bought it for the flanged delay (can get John McGeoch sounds with it) & going series or parallel but the looper and reverse functions are great. reversing phrases just sounds so much cooler than reversed delay. For a pretty standard pedal size it does a LOT !Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

Great looper can say how worth it it was Fantastic sound and features Great priceedwarddavis
I've recorded my bands music since the '70's with reel to reel,8 track, cassette and 16 track equipment and overdubbing and syncing was a total nightmare. I really didn't expect much out of it just wanted to try it so I wouldn't have to play alone. It blew me awaythe first day I filled all the memory up in a matter of 2 hours. So I'm out in the garage just having a good time and I take a break. My wife comes out with 3 beers and looks around for the other person.Told her it was this little pedal and she could not believe it. Shes seen me through the years fighting with recordings and said don't ypu wish you had that 50 years ago.The pedal is accurate and easy to figure out and rather cheap but cost me a small fortune whn I went out and bought a new guitar to play and record with it!2014cuyl

Quick turnaround, great productMark S.
The Vidami Blue is one of the best purchases I’ve made to help me learn new songs and licks, and help with guitar lessons. I’ve been using it with Truefire to learn the solos for the song “Amie” and plan to use it with their licks videos. I’m also using it with YouTube via the Safari browser, along with sheet music, to learn the songs “Breezin’” and “I Ain’t Got Nothing But the Blues.” It is extremely convenient, faster and much more accurate to have a foot controller and loop a specific section of a song, instead of trying to put your finger on the little red dot 🔴, guess how far to back it up and keep doing it over and over. I like to slow down the bars I’m working on, then gradually increase the speed as I get the hang of it. The Bluetooth feature means one less wire on the floor and one more available outlet on my power strip. This product is built like a tank, with the solid metal construction comparable to the best guitar pedals. I have communicated with Wayne and can vouch for the customer service. Although Amy is better looking 😬😆, Wayne impresses me as extremely honest and sincere, and as a genuinely nice guy. I have no doubt they will back up their product. I mentioned guitar effects pedals above. Many people have blown money on effects pedals that they really didn’t need. And many in that same group probably have several pedals that they don’t use sitting in a drawer or box. Trust me when I tell ya that you are better off spending your cash on either version of the Vidami than any guitar effects pedal. I also plan to use my Vidami Blue to scroll hands-free thru music on iReal Pro and other platforms when I’m playing out. If you want to watch some good demos of Vidami, check out the videos by RJ Ronquillo and Andy Wood. In conclusion, I’m very happy with my Vidami Blue and I intend to get a lot of use out of it. It is an excellent tool that will aid my practice and learning, as well as live performances. 👍🏼MarkOinPGH

This is the best LOOPER ever made and nothing else even comes close!!la_2_newyork
I've watched the evolution of the Boomerang looper from its initial large footprint to the smaller Rang III. After purchasing and using mini dittos, ditto X4, BOSS RC-50, Flashbacks, JamMan, etc., I finally decided to go with the Boomerang system because I simply grew tired of dealing with malfunctions during a public performance. Not to say that there aren't quirks about the Boomerang too, but in comparison the Boomerang phrase sampler, thus far, has proven itself to be far superior to these other loopers. There is an initial steep learning curve (it took me three days of concentrated effort to get the hang of the Rang), but now I've worked out my looper routine such that I can now comfortably manipulate composing four-voice loops which can sound convincing and stimulates my creative juices. I also picked up the Side Car and the E-155 chorus/delay pedal, which rounds out the system beautifully. What strikes me is the clear 48k audio output quality. What also floors me is to be able to solo in reverse (also a feature on the E-155). Looping is an art and I have a ways to go as I adapt to the Boomerang system, but I can see a bright future of creative growth ahead for me. The only drag is that you can't save those multi-loops, for the Boomerang is a live performance tool. But, really, I'm not bothered too much by that fact. I also have a BOSS RC-3 looper pedal with 99 patches filled to round out my expressive potential when I perform solo. Another kool thing about the Rang III is that you can plug a TS cable microphone or synth mono line out into the RIGHT stereo input which expands your input capacity. I still need to get comfortable with stacking and serial-syncing, but I'm quite surprised and satisfied with what I can create on the fly with the Rang III system. Just like with Pro Tools or any other routine which requires some study and practice, operating the Boomerang becomes second nature as you grow with it. If you can take on the initial learning curve I would strongly recommend looping with Boomerang. Just download the owners manual off the Boomerang website and get started!04fenderbenda
