Sound: It's a basic looper, but the footswitch allows to stop with one tap. All I need for acoustic show. Overall: I purchased the RC-1 for my weekly acoustic shows to replace my RC-300 that I purchased several years ago and love to use, but after lugging up three floors for a show at a wine bar, and the fact that I don't even use the 2nd and 3rd tracks for acoustic show, I decided the only thing I really need for most of my acoustic looping was just one track. In no way could I get used to double-tap to stop, but I have my FS-6 footswitch that works great to stop the RC-1 with one tap AND I can move the footswitch a few feet away so I don't have to be 'perfect' on the stepping like I would the Rc-300. I would still use the 300 for rock/electric shows, as it has mega capabilities, but for my acoustic show where i just usually either want to loop the solo section, or the entire song, this little inexpensive RC-1 works great, and the $100 price justifies the purchase.
For a compact looper pedal this has, great features. The deal breaker is the circular led panel. While this pedal functions in a basic way the led tells you exactly what is happening and where you are in you loop. That knowledge makes me far more confident to use it live. You can end the playback and erase the loop silently or pause the playback and use it again – useful if a lead break is later in the song. You record the rhythm part, pause it and start it later on in the song. There options for adding extra pedal to control things but I found I got on OK without them. Basically a solid looper with a useful display that is, easy to read in a live situation. The trick to silently erase is to double tap and hold the second tap. Stops instantly and the erases a couple of seconds later – this isn't clear in the instructions.David M.
High value and quality! Maybe not for the touring professional who needs every bell and whistle, but for beginners or intermediates it's a really solid feature set and great quality at a price point that is just a hair over the price of some much more basic units. Spend the extra $20 and get a pedal you'll love! Loopers are super fun, this one is no exception. There is a learning curve but that's more on the player than the pedal. (If your timing/coordination are not on point, a looper, like any recording method, will really highlight that.) Would highly recommend to anyone interested in a looper for fun, creativity, practice, comping, improving over your own backing, even for pro use if you don't need the fanciest bells n' whistles.Steverino

Another great effects pedal from BOSS. The DD-7 is quite like a 'Swiss-Army-Knife' in the realm of compact delay pedals. Built with the standard of quality that BOSS is known for. The delay range is amazingly vast from 1ms to 6.4 seconds, plus a 40 second looper, as well as assorted delay types like modulation, analog and reverse. The pedal is quiet and is great for studio or stage. For a closer look check out the DD-7 manual online. Highly recommended!jupiterstrat
I haven't purchased a Boss delay for years. I did buy a DM-2 Waza to retire my vintage unit. I've just always been an analog delay guy. However, I bought the DD-8 on a whim because I needed a delay for a project that required some specific sounds. Namely a stereo reverse delay sound. I figured I'd give this one a try. This is a home run pedal. Every notch on the mode knob yielded usable and inspiring delays. The only part that I haven't used is the looper but if it works like the other modes, I'm sure it's excellent. No regrets here on this one. It might even knock a Strymon delay off of my main board.JV
Really delivers a lot for the price point. I wanted a delay to do nearly everything and do it well, and this does it. I'm more of a digi, tape & analog delay user, and I don't care much for the more "out there" options, but they are fun to mess with. I use this in mono 99% of the time, so my only gripe against the pedal doesn't really matter much at all. I wish it had a wider stereo field and wish it had a ping pong options in settings, but again, I use it in mono mostly, so no big deal. The DD-200 is super easy to dial in and presets work simply. I like that it has a dedicated Manual mode so I can just use it without worrying about presets. Awesome delay.KC

Well I've been wishing to get one of these for quite a while now, and now it was time to get one. I Love most TC Helicon products, I own several TC Helicon products and I use them on the stage. The Hall of Fame Reverb, best one I've ever owned – The PolyTune, awesomest 🙂 Tuner I've ever owned. – The Play Acoustic for Vocals and I use to have a VoiceTone Create, awesome as well. Now finally the Flashback is added to my little TC Family. So it's one-of-the or The Best in it's Price range, I owned several other brands and it's only competing with the DanEcho analog Delay but… that my friends is not a very good comparison because the Flashback can do SOO much more. Cut to the chase, you Can't go wrong with this one because of it's versatile application going from Slapback to endless repeats. I only wished and that's why I put 4 stars on "Bedienung" that they would Name the Knob functions. Flashback uses 'Delay' for Time, which I think Time is so much more detailed, I get confused easily because Delay means not just time to me, it means well… everything, is it the Delay time? or Delay amount? Level? or Delay what?? So I put a little Tape with TIME next to Delay 🙂 The next Knob is labeled 'Level', great another confusing one for me which in my opinion should simply have the word MIX, again a little Tape will do the trick 😉 Third one is called Feedback, which again is confusing for my little brain and I like it to Simply be Called Repeats So in in short: Sound: Great Versatility: Great Quality: Great Layout: Could be more clear in my opinion Music Store: Great Thanks guys and enjoy your next Guitar Pedal!
As far as options and sounds go, it's a fantastic pedal, especially at that price point. The toneprint app isn't the easiest to use, especially through a USB connection to an android device, but then again it is a great option that most pedals don't offer. My issues with this pedal are that it's unreliable; mine turns off, or turns on the effect, without any input from the user. Right in the middle of playing, randomly, it will shut off, or turn on! You can see how this is a problem ! Like I mentioned the problem is pretty random. Sometimes it goes weeks without issuues, other times it will do it several times during the day. In hindsight, I would have purchased something else.MV

6. Tc Electronic Flashback Delay & Looper Effects Pedal
Product Details:
Guitar pedals & effects – the tc electronic flashback delay is an amazingly versatile delay effect in a compact, pedalboard-friendly stompbox format. featuring 10 amazing delays plus a 40-second looper, the flashback is leaps and bounds ahead of standard delay pedals, which typically feature only a handful of delay effects. some of the highlights of the flashback delay include the original tc electronic 2290 delay (made famous by the edge), as well as 40-second looper with infinite sound-on-sound recording. there's also a unique reverse setting, which can produce anything from a subtle reverse flutter to an all-wet reverse guitar effect (think hendrix-style reverse guitar parts). audio tapping lets you set the flashback's tempo by strumming your guitar. you can then select from three delay modes – eighth note, dotted eighth note, and both eighth and dotted eighth note together – which are independent from the delay style. under the hood, the flashback allows you to switch it from buffered to true-bypass mode, and you can also kill the dry output to use the flashback in your amp's effects circuit. what's more, the way the flashback handles dry signal is also unique, giving it an all-analog path which it blends with the affected signal. this ensures that your tone remains as pure as possible. on top of all these great features, the flashback delay also includes tc electronic's toneprint technology, which allows you to download custom delay styles made by some of today's top guitarists. this gives the flashback delay an almost endless range of tone and style.

Reviews:
This is probably the most versatile delay pedal I've ever used, and I haven't even explored the "Toneprint" feature yet, where you use your mobile phone to upload new sounds to the unit. The feature I like the most is the Audio- tapping feature, where instead of tap- tempo using your foot to set the delay time, you just hold down the switch with your foot, mute the strings with your fretting hand and strum the tempo you want using down strokes with your strumming hand- As I'm a guitarist, not a drummer (praise the Lord) so I find this a much more natural way to set tempo than tapping a footswitch. After years of playing, I've only just discovered the joys of setting delay times to match song tempo (maybe I was a drummer in a previous life). The one feature I'll probably never use is the looper, but that's only because I already have a dedicated looper pedal anyway. Check out the Reverse- Delay feature, it's a very trippy feature-if you set your sound to 100% wet only you can sound like the Beatles Revolution #9- Turn me on dead man! Seriously though, this is great pedal for the money, I use the modulated delayand tape echo sounds a lot!steph_prid
I've been using the TC Flashback for more than a year now. Flashback has a variety of good delay sounds but I primarily use Tape or Analog mode to add some warm ambience or spaciousness when desired. I see some people complaining about the looper. I believe in order to get unity gain on the looper mode, you need to max the volume. This is fine for me because I never use the looper in a live setting but only when I practice a particular solo or improv over few chords. The strum-tempo works well but if you are changing tempo in a hurry, this may not be the ideal method. No, this is not the best delay I've ever used or heard but I would still use it for it's compact size and features. I'm somewhat of a purist using only guitar-amp and Flashback in the FX loop. I'm a tone snob but I also believe that with a decent setup, I could sound equally great utilizing my playability and musicality against any giant pedalboard with expensive boutique pedals or rack gears. Folks, this is a good pedal. From my knowledge, the great Guthrie Govan had them in his board as well. I play classic rock, jazzy blues, hard-rock, alternative rock, and pop. For my use, Flashback sounds great. I hope this would help your decision making. Good luck!krz
The Flashback is exactly what I had been looking for. It's compact (I believe it's the smallest pedal with a tap-tempo equivalent); It has good emulations of various delay types; Features analog pass-through of the dry signal; Runs on standard power. Instad of a foot-controlled tap-tempo, the Flashback let's you dictate the tempo my holding the bypass switch down (which mutes the guitar) and strumming the tempo on the guitar strings. It works great if you're able to set the tempo before the song starts and can commit to it. But it can be a deal breaker if you need to change tempos mid song. The various delay emulations are preset and can't be edited. But I find them to be very tasteful and not in need of tweaking. Note that the analog delays don't self-modulate or pitch-shift with knob turns like real bucket brigades do. While the repeats are digitally generated, the dry signal remains analog. So it always feels natural. The Looper feels like an afterthought. It outputs at a lesser volume . The Flashback runs on standard 9v battery or normal AC adapter. It works in a pedalboard daisy chain with a typical "one spot" adapter. Also works with Sanyo Pedal Juice battery. Like most digital gear, it will eat more power than an analog delay.jtroska

you can get a nux delay force for 50 bux shipped here on ebay that does pretty much everything this does at an off the hook 250. even USED these are overpriced. the stock unit is nothing particularly special. the fun factor comes with modification, at which point it becomes both useful AND kinda cool…. provided you can obtain one cheap enough to be worth modifying. i know this is sacrilege, but for the money a line 6 costs, you can find a plethora of other pedals with the same or better features for significantly less. these are cool i guess, but not THAT cool for what they ask for them. seriously, the dang nux is a better deal. more models, better sampler with more time etc… do your homework and research. line 6 stuff sounds like line 6. you'll love it or hate it. stock, my vote is "meh". modded so you can access the looper via footswitch, and so you can access both heel down and toe down of the 3 presets and it becomes a bit more palatable. me? i'd buy something else. seriously. don't fall for internet hype written by 12 year olds with daddy's credit card. i've been playing electronic guitar for 48 years. i have played almost every piece of gear out there. this one is good, but not as great as you usually hear.phatjbp
The worst piece of equipment I've ever paid for. Worked for a just a few weeks (sitting on my floor untouched, no gigs) then dropped dead for no reason. Pulled the "chip" out of it, reinserted it, and it worked again for a while (shouldn't have to do that with a brand new piece of equipment anyway). Then it died again, this time for good. Chucked it in the trash where it belongs. This thing is more stress than it's worth. Will NEVER buy another Line6 product again.zjpaul

Reviews:
Other than TC's D-Two rack mount delay, you can't find a dedicated rack mount delay anymore, all the companies have moved into the "multi-effects processing" league. So I got this because I couldn't afford a D-Two. Unlike most other brands of pedals, this one actually has a numeric display so you can easily dial in an exact millisecond for the delay. Overall this is a good delay. I wish there'd been a dedicated function button to step through presets rather than the multi-function buttons that are on this unit. It'd have been easy to have 3 buttons instead of just two. But overall it's a good unit. I have a TC G-Force rack mount multi-effects processor, and I A/B'd the delay times between it and this ND-1, and they are exactly identical. The G-Force is a pain in the butt to change programs on, which is why I got this unit. The modulation and color functions are nice to have. I've never really seen a good use for the "subdivision" functions on this or any other delay unit though. On the "type" function, it's cool to have the dynamic function. The reverse is a fun toy, but not terribly useful, atleast I've not found much use for it yet. The pingpong and pan would probably be great using a stereo setup, but I'm using this between a guitar and an amp in mono, so you really don't have this effect. Overall, it's a good unit.southrail
I bought this pedal for my live bass rig and use it for various doubling and slapback effects. With presets it's easy to use on the fly and the digital display allows me to dial in and recall delay times that are specific to the tempo of the song, critical for slapback playing in the groove. The tap tempo is nice as well. How many delay pedals have a display? It seems to be very good in my signal chain, even on bass. I could see using this pedal for keys or guitar equally as effectively, maybe even moreso. It has a lot of capabilities that are beyond my current expectations. It it well built and rugged, small in size for what it does, and I can power it with my standard power supply on my pedalboard. I paid more for it than other decent delay pedals on the market, but the features far outweigh the price difference. This is a serious tool compared to many okay sounding delay pedals. It's a very good value.tieshba
The Nova Delay is a relatively intuitive device for gear savvy players. I was able to achieve nearly every classic delay type within a few seconds of tweaking. The ND-1 manual is concise and well written. I was able to master the pedals hidden abilities within an hour. You can easily adjust the spillover from one preset to another and program global or pre-programmed tap tempo options. All of the different types of delay are easily switched with a push of a button and the display is intuitively designed to let you know exactly how the pedal is dialed in. A major bonus for this pedal is that all delay types are tap tempo ready. This is a great feature for quick time adjustments in a live setting. The ND-1 loses points in this area when it comes to switching delay types during a live performance. To toggle presets the user must press the tap tempo button once then immediately press the on/off button until the desired preset is reached. It is quite easy to do with preparation and planning, but there have been a few times during live shows where I found myself in a mess navigating through presets. There is a guy on Ebay selling a mod for this pedal, which I purchased and it provides external tap with a button to scroll through the presets…the way to go if you get this pedal. His Ebay name is: guitartek86 Sound: The sound clips will speak for themselves with this wonderful delay unit. The color knob was my favorite feature that really sets this pedal on the top of the heap. Set the color knob to digital and hear crystal clear delay repeats with all of the top end sparkle you could ever want. Back the color knob off to analog, tape, or anywhere in between to your preference. Using this feature along with the built in modulation keeps the delay out of the way from cluttering up intricate passages while providing studio quality texture. Impression: I would highly recommend this pedal to any player who is interested in enhancing their tone with rich delay textures. The Nova Delay is capable of achieving a range of famous delay sounds from the Stray Cats to Radiohead to U2. It also only takes up a modest amount of real estate on your pedal board! With its durable construction, ease of use, and outstanding studio quality sound, it makes a great addition to any players arsenal.2ndfret

Reviews:
Upfront…..it's a Keeley …and that alone tells anyone who knows pedals that it will be well built , decent sound quality and affordable…..but they missed the boat on this one and I expect a version 2.0 soon enough….the reverb and the delay cannot be stacked , either way , they can only be played independently. This was a big mistake on the design engineers or Robert himself. The gain/overdrive side of this pedal is excellent!!! And unfortunately I am stacking this pedal with an Oceans 11 while using their spring or plate modes. I will be pretty peeved if and when version 2 is released and the stacking in series or parallel is now useable. Otherwise I give this a 3/5 where it could have been a 4.5/5 easily!!!!!…….sorry guys …had to be honest …but I won't buy version 2 unless you take BACK this original version and modify it correctly!!!Chaotic Embrace Inc
What an incredible pedal! This is the perfect grab and go for the working musician. A wonderful solid blues breaker style drive and choice of delay or reverb. Both the analog and digital delays are amazing. I can't recommend the pedal enough. It only took 5 minutes for this to become one of my all time favorite Keeley pedals (and I have over 20 different Keeleys).Nnate8

Reviews:
The Hotone Binary EKO delay pedal is quite enjoyable with many types of fun delays, some of which are best used in stereo (such as ping pong delay). I have been using a Headrush FRFR108 speaker and a 15-watt Marshall amplifier and I really like this pedal for its variety. It also helps that it was discounted to around $70. Tremendous bargain but even at double this price I think it's worthwhile.Ferdad
