The ES-210MXBLU-ST Portable PA System came up as Musicians Friend "Stupid Deal Of The Day" so I decided to get it as a wedding reception DJ "insurance policy" backup to my main system. I set it up right away in my living room for a test run and have to say that I'm pretty impressed. I'd have no problem at all doing a gig with it. There's plenty of of power packed into this little system and it sounds pretty good actually with decent bass and clarity. The bluetooth connectivity with my iPhone is a nice bonus and I'd be very confident doing a separate setup for a ceremony as well. It's a complete package right down to the mic and cables. I like how the cable compartment and power amp/mixer snap into the back of the speakers for easier mobility and compact storage which also will protect the knobs. Cons: *The speaker stands are pretty bad. The tripod legs don't tighten at all and that's potentially very problematic. *The knobs (Volume, Bass, Treble …etc) wiggle a bit, feel fragile and cheaply made.Seaside Jimmy

I was excited about using the Roland BA-330, I did a lot of research on it before purchasing. I liked that it has battery capability and that it seems compact. It has plenty of channels for performing, and a few effects. But it was too heavy for me to lift to put up on a speaker stand by myself. It clipped regularly at not 35-40% volume, and sound became fuzzy. (I'm a solo acoustic performer, was using it in a fairly quiet restaurant, so I was really surprised by this.) My husband said there wasn't enough low end, even when "clear" it was fairly sibilent. I played with the eq/volume, etc. knobs, could not get the result I desired. I was disappointed by the sound quality and the weight of the speaker.S.L.S.

I am 69 years old. I have been a practicing musician for over 50 years. Needless to say, I have had just about one of every thing when it comes to PA systems. I even currently own the very new and highly acclaimed. Turbosound IP 2000. I bought the BA 330, because I need something east to carry around. It is light and I love the handle on the top, which allows me to carry it with one hand. I practice in an empty garage with a 12 foot ceiling. This Roland beautifully does everything that it is supposed to do. Very nice sound all around. I usually use a mixer, but found I don't really need one, now!! I make my own tracks and and play them thru a Roland cd/sd recorder, which sits on top of the BA 330. My microphone is the Heil PR 22. Can't get any better than that for simplicity. I replaced two Roland Street Cubes with this one unit and boy am I ever glad I did. Very portable and being powered by eight double A batteries, I'm totally independent of electrical service needs. Between this BA330 used with a battery powered harmonizer and wireless guitar/headset mic, man, I've got people staring with their mouths dropped open. My volume can reach for blocks with plenty of headroom left. I can be "neighborhood wide" and my gear sounds clear and strong and even makes ME sound nice with an amazing amount of ease.. Thanks AMS!!! American Musical Supply has made it possible for me to own the finest gear I've ever had. From my Martin D-41 right down to a complete electrically independent sound system, man, they have treated me like Clapton and all with totally interest free financing. I absolutely can't wait for Spring and warm weather to get my self outside and perform. These guys at AMS are great; give them a chance- you won't be disappointed.Smitty's very unhappy!!!

Great PA system for the money. Loud, crisp, clear sound. Easy to see knobs in the dark. Bluetooth connection makes it easy to play backing tracks from the phone. Easier to clip on and.clip off the mixer and the storage shelf. Fairly light too. I had an older , used Yamaha Stagepas 500 series which I used for years. I like this series. This Stagepas 600 can also attach a Subwoofer if you want extra low end.kingnothing75

I was pleasantly surprised at the power and clarity of the audio from this system. All the channel controls work great, and the effects options sound good. It's nice to have the bluetooth option and I appreciated the extra inputs and outputs, including the 1/8 inch stereo input and the monitor/sub woofer outs. I paired this system with the Yamaha NS-SW100 subwoofer and I'm really glad I did. If there is anything to complain about with the system, it is that the low end isn't as full as I would like it to be, but not unexpected in a smaller speaker. The sub filled it out really well and was easy to connect thanks to the dedicated subwoofer output. Bottom line, I feel as if I got really great value for the price!James

We got this system to replace a Fender portable 150 Watt PA. The new Fenders lack controls. This thing has more inputs, much better controls and the sound is outstanding. The people watching on our internet broadcast noted immediately that the sound was much crisper and clear. The speakers are heavy but really good sound.Robert

I generally play with one other person through this, but occasionally we get guests who either sing or need to plug an instrument in. This can accommodate all of us and we use the BT400 not the 600. We use a Mackie thump speaker out of the subwoofer port which helps with fullness of the sound, not that it's bad to begin with. The only amp we used to bring along with our old PA was the bass amp but don't even need that anymore. Awesome sounding, portable and all the basic functionality you would need for a two or three person crew. The portability is awesome, we only use when when we play out as we have a dinosaur Peavy PA for practice that stays where it is. I use this Yamaha as speakers for my computer if I know we have a lot of time between gigs. Awesome for just playing music or trying karaoke at home too. If you're going to be playing a passive instrument through channels 5-8, you're going to want a booster.Matt

I purchased this to use for small educational animal business, in which I routinely perform to groups of up to 500 children, both indoors and outdoors. Several of my customers have this same setup and allowed me to use theirs in the past, so I knew this was what I wanted. I've just started using the one I purchased, and I'm very pleased so far. Despite being a complete noob with this type of audio equipment, this system is easy to set up and use and the instructions are clear. The quality of construction seems tough and solid and the sound quality is nice and clear. I haven't messed with the settings much, so I haven't explored the full range of the unit's capabilities. The only things I would change are the nonskid pads on the bottoms of the speakers (they are stick-on and two of them popped off when I moved the unit across a carpeted floor), and a couple of wheels on the bottom would make transport much easier. Overall I am very pleased, and when we need to add a second PA system I'll get another one of these.Michael

I've been using one of these for band rehearsals and smaller venues shows like at restaurants. It's easy to setup and dial in. It's a no frills unit, no FX. For us it works great. Our drummer is really loud and we get pretty heavy into it and this has enough volume. You have to speakers up on stands at head level though too.Ryan

What happened to The Fender Passport 150. I was one of the first to ever have the Fender Passport 150 bought about 18 years ago. I turned on about 100 professionals to using it. After 18 years it finally blew out. My purchase of the new replacement 175 Conference is a weak substandard version. Doesn't have nearly the the same umph! My 150 I never went above 1/2 way on master. Now with the Conference I have to go all the way to get a mediocre less powerful sound. Why do companies have to keep messing with perfection. Shame on Fender and their CEO for allowing this to happen. I'm searching for a competitive product.Rich

I purchased these a few months ago, and they are now my favorite portable speakers. They are great for the size/price, and better than most of the competition in this range. Especially at lower volume levels. Only oddness I noticed is that the 3.5mm stereo jack seems to have a much flatter sound than the same source going via splitter to the RCA jacks. Hosting raging parties, practicing my karaoke, or rocking out with my guitar has never sounded better, and louder, thanks to the new Bose S1 Pro floor monitor speaker designed for just that. Well, it may be a stretch about the raging parties due to the pandemic and me getting too old for that but it’s still an incredible speaker. In any case, this thing was designed just for us audiophiles who love loud, clear, crisp sound even if you’re not entertaining. Out of the box, the S1 was very easy to set up; simply plug it in with the included power cord, download and set up the speaker in the Bose+ app and you’re ready to rock out… or listen to smooth jazz via a Bluetooth connection and your smart device, plug in that acoustic guitar and a microphone for you entertainers, or basically this thing can handle whatever you throw at it. Having been a loyal and repeat customer of anything Bose, it is a simple set up and easy app to control even for those new to their products. I would like to see more options like syncing streaming services and EQ settings in the app similar to the Bose Music app but clearly that’s not what this speaker was designed for. The app does give you the option for Party Mode which you can connect multiple other compatible speakers to. On the speaker itself, which has a convenient handle on top and was surprisingly lighter than other PA monitor speakers I have used in the past, you will find two combo-XLR inputs to connect your instrument and/or microphone. For those musician/singers, Bose uses dedicated ToneMatch processing and Auto EQ to ensure you and the speaker sound the best. There are gains for each of these inputs which let you adjust the reverb, bass, treble and volume. There is a smaller 3.5mm auxiliary input for any other audio devices such as smart phones or MP3 players with a headphone jack which also has a volume control. There is a dedicated line out to connect to other systems. The S1 has built in sensors that know how you have the speaker set up, whether straight up, on its side, elevated or tilted to ensure sound is being distributed appropriately. For those that would like to listen to music or perform where there may not be a power source, Bose added a rechargeable battery option to allow portability. The Bose S1 Pro monitor speaker is a great option from one of the best names in the business. I LOVE this Bose S1 PRO! It is a 150W PA Speaker with a three-channel mixer and 35mm mount. It features two combo XLRs w/ 1/4" jack and 3.5mm or BT 5.0 as 3rd input. A line out links to another speaker or mixer. An onboard accelerometer auto EQs the S1 Pro based on the speaker orientation in one of 4 positions: on the ground, on its side, tilted back, or elevated. You can hear the differences, especially regarding the bass EQ in all positions. The Bose Connect app brings smart connectivity and ease of use for streaming. I am trying to find a battery to make it portable, but I will need to wait with supply problems. There is a lot to like about the Bose S1 Pro from its lightweight 13.5 lb adaptable form-factor, durable construction, and its built-in 3-channel mixer. This specific version does not include the rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack, reducing the upfront cost and weight of the speaker, but limits you to spaces where you can plug the speaker into an outlet 6 feet away to use it. A battery can be purchased separately or you can opt for the bundled version for on-the-go use. Thankfully, a battery is trivial to install in the bottom of the speaker beneath a panel attached with two easy-to-remove screws, if you decide you need this feature, and I like that this design allows you to easily replace the battery, if needed. There’s a chunky handle inlaid on the top of the speaker so that it sits flush with the body, allowing you to carry and move it around easily. This speaker can be used in a number of orientations including upright, horizontal, tilted back, and stand mounted (35mm), each providing a different sound profile that automatically adjusts EQ to achieve optimal projection. There are rubber non-slip pads on all the surfaces that you can use when the unit is freestanding. While it seems a small bother, the logo on the front of the speaker can be rotated 360° in 90° intervals (counter-clockwise only) in order to match the orientation of the speaker as well. This speaker has 3 input channels, 2 XLR and one 3.5mm AUX/Bluetooth combo channel. The two XLR inputs also accept ¼” jack inputs and can be used with any powered input device, like a microphone, mixer, looper, or instrument, for example a guitar or keyboard, but neither channel offers phantom power so would not be suitable for condenser microphones that require it. There are individual volume controls for each channel, though only the XLR channels have EQ adjustment dials: treble, bass, and reverb. Additionally, you can enable ToneMatch for mic or guitar input, which applies additional presets accordingly like a low-cut filter. Setting ToneMatch to ‘off’ is equivalent to line level input. If you do have a second speaker paired in Party Mode, you can subsequently switch to ‘Stereo’ mode for left and right track separation on each speaker rather than playing the same audio in unison. You can also daisy chain a second S1 Pro with a ¼” TRS cable using the Line Out port, however, it is not possible to achieve true stereo output with this method. In terms of audio quality, the sound is very good. While mono only, it’s clean and balanced with a decent amount of bass reproduction; however, I felt channel 3 lacked a little bit of treble depth both over Bluetooth and via AUX input, and unfortunately it’s the only channel that doesn’t allow for onboard EQ adjustments, so you’ll need to set the EQ from the source device when possible. The other thing to keep in mind is that at high volumes, it is possible to experience some clipping and distortion, and the LED next to each channel’s volume dial will display red when the input signal exceeds the limiters, indicating the volume should be reduced in order to protect the speaker from damage and improve sound quality. Performance of my dynamic microphone with the S1 Pro was awesome. The audio is clear and very crisp, but keep in mind the ToneMatch Mic mode is optimized for close usage with your mouth nearly touching the mic. The reverb controls are also nice for creating a sense of space and dimension without muddying the sound too much, depending on the experience you’re going for. The PA system is perfect for both solo and duo singers/musicians. We love using it for karaoke since we can have two mics attached for duet numbers and the music input on channel 3. The one thing I don't recommend the speaker for is pairing over Bluetooth with a video source, for example to watch video on a mobile device or stream audio from a movie projector because there is a miniscule but noticeable (to me) amount of lag/delay between the audio and the image on the screen when used this way. Features: I have my laptop connected via bluetooth, a wireless microphone, a fender guitar and a yamaha keyboard and everything works without complaints or setbacks, plug and play Quality: I think that if it is taken care of normally, not allowing it to get wet and not hitting whatever is rolling it from one side to the other this PA can last a long time due to its construction quality Overall: excellent sound option for small and medium events. I am a soundman for a church of 85 people and I was skeptical of this PA system thinking that it would not reach the volume range but when I connected the system and using the bluetooth to my laptop and I started to equalize and adjust !!! WOW !!! What a surprise, I have quality sound with good bass and a fairly good range of audio, I am left over, very happy and satisfied to have bought this Escort 6000, I have no complaints, although many complain about the speaker stands remember that it is a complement for the combo, and still they are functional, but you know that you can find them on Amazon for very affordable prices, the bluetooth connection is very good and fast, the effects have to give the maximum of the knob so that they feel when connecting a microphone And so you will hear the chosen effect, the EQ masters are very important for an overpowering and they work wonderfully, in general I recommend this PA PORTABLE SYSTEM 100% if you like a loud and clear sound, thanks to zZounds for the fast delivery on timeLaz

Overall: I have had a Peavey MK4 PA since the 80's that is still working and decided to upgrade to something new for my solo gigging. I researched several different brands and came back to Peavey for the reason that my old system was so reliable. The Peavey Escort 6000 has a great sound with clean crisp tone. Plenty of power for a solo and definitely would work for a duo or trio. I have also plugged in my Taylor acoustic and run it thru the PA. Sounds fine if that's what you are looking to do although at this point I am still using my guitar amp. The speakers also give a surprisingly good bass response. One thing that was a bonus for me was the speaker cabinets are made of a PVC plastic and when I set up with the speakers in front of me I can hear myself from the back of the speakers. Never could before with the old pressed wood cabinets. I can now adjust my monitor to get a volume that I can hear myself on stage with my wireless system from monitor center and speakers left-right. Gives me more mobility not having to stand directly in front of my monitor.It did take me awhile to dial it in to my "sound" but overall I am pleased with the results. I didn't spend much time with the built in effects or EQ. I have a vocal effects system that I patch in already. The unit is easy to set up and speakers are lightweight. I didn't bother with the included stands. They are the smaller diameter and flimsy and I already have a pair of the heavier stands. The speakers do accept both sizes. I did make sure of that before I bought the system.The bluetooth works well as does the thumbdrive. I put in a set of music in a thumbdrive to run durring breaks.Only one minor thing that I can say is a problem for me. The plastic clasp design to open the doors where the mics and cables are stored keeps pinching my fingers. Overall I do recommend this system.Bill

I was looking for an all-in-one system that could be brought to events and small performances with the criteria of being durable, clean-sounding, quick to set up, and able to fill large areas of 200-300 people with breathing room. This unit met all of these easily. For sure there are less expensive options out there but it's the old adage of "you get what you pay for". The only two things that are more irritants than deal breakers are because the speaker stands are more like mic stands, they feel somewhat shaky when the speakers are mounted on them. Fortunately, I have standard speaker stands that these speakers can mount onto so it's not a huge issue other than not being able to carry the stands inside the case. Secondly, if you purchase the optional stand for the mixer/amp, it's advertised to fit inside the case along with the speaker stands. Well, they do…if you have the patience to fiddle and adjust the position of the stands for half an hour to get it to just fit right; otherwise you can't close the case. My guess is that the overall case was originally designed without these stands in mind. However, since I don't carry the included speaker stands in the case, it's not an issue for me. However, if you plan to, be prepared to have a lot of patience if you want to carry all of the stands inside the case.RJ

Definitely good for a quick and easy portable PA system that can run from rechargeable batteries. I haven't test the charge length deeply yet but seemed to run for an hour or so with no problems. The bluetooth works fine. At 40 watts you're not going to fill a concert hall but for a small room it should be enough for speech or background music. The sound is overall good but seems a little lacking in midrange with that "scooped" feel with bass and treble controls to scoop it even deeper so it sounds a little hollow to me. Bass is good, especially for the size and weight. Its not hard to carry and the luggage arm and rollers make it even easier to move around. There are two downsides to me. One: the gain structure allows it to drive into ugly distortion very easily. With no trim before the mixer channels its easy to overdrive the unit at the input stage before even getting to the master volume. Both the channels and the master seem to go into distortion at around the half way position. This is simply a design function that makes it seem louder than it really is. Like "Listen how loud it is and its only up to 2!" But then you realize that you are right on the verge of distortion so 2 is really more like 8 should be. So just be careful with gain settings and you'll be OK. The other minor quip is that the knobs seem pretty cheap and could break off easily. One reviewer had that happen with a fall. Again, just be careful. If you need something easy to setup even without AC power around that sounds way better than the average bluetooth speaker this will work for you. If you are street musician, this would be perfect. Just be careful with those volume settings.soundcrafter

Today I walked it a mile to the weekly Ashby BART drum circle in Berkeley CA to play my P-bass through. On the way there it fell off my mini hand-truck and rolled out into the street. I freaked out, but amazingly enough that made no difference at all when I got to the drum circle and turned it on. It's so well-madethank you so much for putting this in my life!! At age 68, back & shoulders are at pain & injury risk hauling heavy gear. My 20 year old Samson portable PA died. Extremely satisfied with ALL Behringer gear I own, I ordered TWO MBA40BT-PRO speakers. This meant lighter weight and lower price than equivalent "Portable PA systems with mixer amps." (and LESS set up time, with no mixer & speaker cables) 100% Plug in and play! I play stereo Keyboards; using only one would be MONO. I patch my LEFT channel to one, the Right to the other. I've eliminated the mixer/amp, and the cables from it to the speakers. Now, I tote only these two cabs, on wheels, with telescoping handles. They're only 22 lbs each, if I must lift! That's less total weight than any Portable PA System with 8" woofers out there. (My Samson was about 55Lbs–and these Behringer sound better!) In less than 10 minutes, I'm set up, playing, with more power & great sound than much larger & heavier gear! When I must park some distance away, I roll these little beauties! If the distance is short, I carry them with ease. Best product for the price!Robert

I bought this product instead of getting an inexpensive car stereo system because I wanted something that would play off of USB. This has FM radio as well. The files must be in mp3 format and can't be in any folders. The user manual says that is must be a USB drive of 2 gig or less, I'm using an older drive, so I don't know its size. It has a small remote that can also turn the system on/off, adjust volume, change modes, and skip songs. Sound is as decent as a one speaker system is. Very portable. I also like that it looks like a heater and not a sound machine so I hope it is less prone to being stolen. Battery life is supposed to be several hours.Matt

I use 3000 in small restaurant settings to sing to tracts. It does the job perfectly. This past month I played to very large venues, one outdoor on a river and one in a huge empty barn. I was worried about the 3000 producing enough clear sound so I borrowed a much larger system. Before I set up the big sound I thought let me try the portable 3000 first and then if I needed to I would bring in the bigger system. To my surprise the Peavey Escort 3000 did a fantastic job and I did not have to set the master up even half way. I have been told by many of my singing friends that I will be disappointed in such a small system. I have had it over a year and do three to four shows a week and if I ever had to replace it I would by the 6000 only because of the Bluetooth capabilities.Godfather of Crooning

I was skeptical when I purchased the escort/ 3000 nearly 3 years ago for 2 man accoustic shows. After playing shows nearly every weekend since, I am happy to say that it has greatly exceeded my expectations in durability and quality. It's compact size makes set up and teardown less of a hassle, yet it still packs quite a punch. The only complaint I can think of is that I had to repair one of the fasteners that secure the speakers because it would close completely, but it was an easy fix and it has been 3 years now.Jennifer

The new model PA system SAMSON XP300B is professionally designed and well built. Playing some rock music for family and friends is my hobby. I am using the system mostly at home to amplify and mix simple keyboard and vocals. The system power is more than adequate for this application. It fills with quality sound the 1000 Sq Ft area of our first floor. Others in their reviews were mentioning about the noise from the cooling fan of similar systems. I do not have any issue with such noise. It is similar to the noise from a fan used in Deck top computers. the System is very portable. The two speakers and the mixer join nicely together in one unit for transportation. For the size of the speakers the bass output is sufficient. The Speakers are of high quality. The System has an input for a subwoofer. Adding one of about 200 watts RMS will benefit the lower frequency sound greatly. I love the effects. Using an effect on the mic highly improves vocals. I have owned a Sampson XP308i, which is only 300 watts, but has excellent quality. I began having an issue with it and found out they were no longer being manufactured. So I decided to move up to the XP1000 which had a superior amount of wattage to my little XP308i. But wattage doesn't tell the story for this unit. It is way under powered as it has no more power for volume than my little 300 watt unit. All the Sampson's have the same horn, but the XP1000 has a 10 inch speaker rather than the 8 inch in my smaller PA. But once I got it on a performance, and as a singer, the microphone settings had no treble only bass. So singing with this unit is not so good. The Bluetooth is excellent with its own volume and tone settings. This unit may be very good for speakers who want music playing before their speech or after through the Bluetooth, but if your a professional singer, this unit isn't recommended by me.TK

Definitely good for a quick and easy portable PA system that can run from rechargeable batteries. I haven't test the charge length deeply yet but seemed to run for an hour or so with no problems. The bluetooth works fine. At 40 watts you're not going to fill a concert hall but for a small room it should be enough for speech or background music. The sound is overall good but seems a little lacking in midrange with that "scooped" feel with bass and treble controls to scoop it even deeper so it sounds a little hollow to me. Bass is good, especially for the size and weight. Its not hard to carry and the luggage arm and rollers make it even easier to move around. There are two downsides to me. One: the gain structure allows it to drive into ugly distortion very easily. With no trim before the mixer channels its easy to overdrive the unit at the input stage before even getting to the master volume. Both the channels and the master seem to go into distortion at around the half way position. This is simply a design function that makes it seem louder than it really is. Like "Listen how loud it is and its only up to 2!" But then you realize that you are right on the verge of distortion so 2 is really more like 8 should be. So just be careful with gain settings and you'll be OK. The other minor quip is that the knobs seem pretty cheap and could break off easily. One reviewer had that happen with a fall. Again, just be careful. If you need something easy to setup even without AC power around that sounds way better than the average bluetooth speaker this will work for you. If you are street musician, this would be perfect. Just be careful with those volume settings.soundcrafter

I am rating the Behringer PPA2000bt that I recently bought on ebay. This system is very powerful and sounds much better to me than my older set up which included a powered 10" AMD 15" Behringer speaker, along with separate mixer by Behringer. The bluetooth allows you to pair this unit up with your phone or music source that has blietooth. It works great but I have not tested the actual distance I can be from this unit when paired. All the pieces fits perfectly together and forms into a huge and heavy suitcase shape. The clasp works fine for storing away but I would not trust when rolling as the wheels are quite small and this wobbles when rolled. I purchased (3) 12" Gator speaker bags which is used to transport the 2 speakers and the mixer bottom part. Good to also get a pair of speaker stands which allows you to place your speakers higher on the tripod stand. Overall this system sounds awesome comes also with speaker cables and a microphone. The only drawback is the weight when all is attached and transporting may be tough by rolling as it was meant to be used. I only keep it attached when storing as it saves space. I found its best to use speaker bags to transport to prevent the clasp from breaking or from this heavy unit form tipping over when rolling. Would be good to also use a foldable wagon to transport if you don't have stairs to go up or down. Hope this helps!vintage50ies

This system was purchased to be used in travelog presentations for our community senior group. The speaker has very good sound and is easy to set up with controls/connections that can be figured out by the average layman. Be advised that it is heavy, especially compared to other units with plastic cases (but don't sound as good). This review gives four stars instead of five because the Ultralink twin microphones that come as part of this particular system were returned (btw – Adorama return process was excellent). Out of the box, one of the microphones did not work (also noted on other reviews on other sites), they were awkward to use due to the complex plus/minus buttons instead of just an on/off switch and the volume had to be turned way up to hear them. Bottom line – get the speaker but not the Ultralink mics.Peter

Overall: I purchased the LR BAGGS Synapse Personal PA system about a year ago and I could not be happier. It's great for my solo acoustic performances. (Acoustic guitar/ukulele and vocals.) Wether I am playing a venue for 200 people or a small setting for 5 people, indoor or outdoor, ambience vibe or full concert vibe…. it just adapts to each setting perfectly. I truly feel it does all the sound worrying for me. As someone who's been performing as a professional musician the last 13 years and been on stage as a performer for 31 years, I really value not having to worry about the sound and technical issues and just fully be able to focus on my performance. This is something I truly appreciate. Not to mention how simple the set up! Just plug her in, set your dials and play. The reverb quality is outstanding. I love how it makes my vocals and guitar sound. I also get a lot of compliments on the uniqueness of the look and the quality of the sound. Playing live music is what I do for a living. Playing anywhere from 4 – 8 shows per work, each show lasting between 2 – 4 hours and it has not let me down once. I've used countless systems in the past and this is by far the best solo system I've ever owned! A+Nataly

The system is perfect for small venues. It's easy to handle, simple and straightforward to use, and provides the the best sound for a single performer. The only downside is the high initial cost. I was able to purchase mine used, which made it more reasonable.uilleamb

I am having issues with the microphone cutting out so we only hear half the words they are saying. And between comments it puts out a humming sound. I spent the entire two hour meeting trying to make all the adjustments to no avail. The “manual” does not give much details to help. There is no product name on the unit or the manual so l could not look up help on YouTube. This had a great rating when l researched it but so far it’s not living up to the ratings shown. So the ratings may not be accurate in my opinion. And there is no rich sound quality in the speaker. I have more quality in my small six inch speaker than this big box. Also the unit will blurt out audio comments but the voice has such a strong Chinese accent you can’t understand what she is saying.James B.

I needed something for my daughter's cheer team to use for rehearsals and in the gym performances. I've been a professional sound engineer for 30 years. They didn't want to spend a lot of money.. so.. this thing has a ton of features. 1. It has a full mixing panel on the back with two mic inputs plus a guitar input plus a line iPod type input. Bass, treble controls plus separate bass /treble for the wireless microphone. 2. It has built-in FM radio. 3. It has very good Bluetooth connectivity… it has a female voice that speaks each time you change from one mode to another to help guide you through it. 3. it has a wireless microphone that while is not the best in the world it is far from being just a toy.. it's actually a pretty decent microphone if you don't get too close to it. ….the icing on the cake is that it has a rechargeable battery which means they don't even have to run an AC cable out on the gym floor for it or to use on a patio. …. it also has a 12-volt DC connector with a supplied cable if you wanted to hook it up to your car battery or 12-volt battery source. ( useful for the cheer team when they do their parades) The 12 inch speaker and the built-in treble horn tweeter do the job.. it's not going to play subwoofer style bass if you're trying to expect it to be useful for rap or hip-hop but for any other normal kind of music it does a great job. …has Echo feature if you wanted to use it for karaoke …it even records performances onto SD stick or memory card . It can also store and play your music from the SD card or the memory card, if you didn't want to use a Bluetooth phone. It is actually full-featured enough that a musician could take it into a coffee house or wine bar and use it with a guitar and actually sing with the wireless microphone provided and not be embarrassed. ….the most astounding thing is that it's only $96… I can't even imagine how they put all these features into this device and sell it for $96. The big question of course is the reliability and that remains to be seen as we've only had it for a short while. I'm going to buy another one and probably recommend it to a lot of my friends who want decent patio sounding gear without spending a fortune on it. I perform mostly in small to medium settings and have a wide variety of PA systems/set ups. I wanted to scale back to as minimal a system as practical since I decided that hauling around heavy speakers was no longer an option I wanted to continue. I have a Fishman Line array, that has been a staple for me and I added two of these little gems, which really filled out the sound well. During a blow out sale, I purchased a couple Fender (MAUI LD) line arrays and after a few performances, couldn't get a good sound out of them. The Kustoms sounds MUCH warmer and smoother than the LD's throughout the sonic range, and although not quite as loud (volume-wise it was surprisingly close, and not enough to warrant the hassle difference), so I got rid of the Fenders. I was hired by a local Historical Society to perform in a small setting and went with the two Kustom PA50's with my iPad plugged directly into the input provided. I didn't bring or use a mixer and I got endless compliments on how clear the sound was. I then tried out this minimal set-up in a local restaurant that is fairly wide open (overlooking the ocean). Again, the sound spread was amazing and crystal clear. I wasn't 100% certain those in the rear of the restaurant would be able to hear the sound as clearly as towards the front. But that turned out NOT to be the case. My ONLY complaint about these, is if I use them and try and use the speaker out from the Kustoms into the Fishman. For some reason I've yet to figure out, even though the Fishman is powered (and shouldn't pull from the Kustoms), there is a distinct drop-off in volume and degradation in the sound quality of the Kustom speakers. When I unplug the Fishman, the volume and rich sound of the Kustoms rebound immediately. This isn't an issue when I use a mixer, but I have grown fond of the simpler set up and use the Fishman only when necessary.Higmo

I play in an acoustic duo and an acoustic trio act. Usually small venues: wineries, breweries, restaurants. Occasionally outdoor parties and festivals. There are many shows where even my 10" powered speakers on stands take up too much space. These Kustoms are compact enough that I can set them on a chair, on a table, in a corner or on the floor near the stage area, even without a stand. When I look at them, it's hard to believe they weigh almost 15 pounds. But it's the heavy magnets that deliver thumping bass response for a speaker this size. And the other reviews were right: they are screaming loud. I could cover a large hall with 300 people with 2 of these. EQ'd correctly, there is very little distortion, even at high volumes. I have to adjust the channel inputs and master volume during a sound check to find the sweet spot, but that's a 3 minute job and well worth it to get the clearest sound. They are very versatile. Three channels. XLR and quarter inch inputs. I can plug mics, instruments and an ipod into a single speaker, or any combination of inputs. This means they serve as an emergency system if the mixer ever fails. They have an EQ and volume adjustments for each channel. They can be daisy-chained for an easy PA or monitor system. They even have built-in handles: a nice touch not often found on speakers this small. I purchased two of these with the intention of using them as stage monitors. After using them live, I will probably buy two more and replace my 10" powered speakers with these. The sound is not quite as sweet as the 10 inch powered speakers (which sound like a home stereo) but they are darn close. And at the types of shows I play, everyone is usually talking and I don't need concert-quality acoustics. They do not tilt back at an angle for use as stage monitors, but that is easily remedied by simply placing a small wedge like a door-stop under them. I first got one in 2016 to play solo gigs. Got another one about two years later to expand for a duet. Just ordered another one to use as a monitor. Chaining is easy and sound is full (add a sub if you have live bass instruments going through them). They've always worked for me through over a hundred gigs and they are incredibly versatile. There's a reason why they're rated so highly, Kustom hit on the perfect little box of sound formula. One of these will do a small room, up to fifty people. Two of these can produce enough clear sound for a small theater, up to maybe 100 people. Four can create enough clear volume for small outdoor concerts, maybe up to 250 people.Nomadyag

This sytem did not meet my expectations. I do not blame the store as they did not manufacture this system or advice me on buying this system. I bought this system online. I would suggest buyers online try a pa system in a store prior to buying. The blue tooth music jumped but not on switching to cable connection. Music volume could be increased further then microphone volume hence larger crowds could not hear you. Microphone quality became destorted when you increased volume (wireless microphone bought separately) As for size and weight it was perfect. Sound of music and Mic was good at mid way volume. Brilliant for a audience of 50 people not over 100 as stated.janet b.

Four stars as I’ve only had it a week. Might be five later. However, after looking at virtually everything on the internet this was the closest thing to what I wanted – an easily transported battery powered PA with at least two inputs for 1/4 in jacks and enough volume to use in a small/medium sized hall for country dance type sessions (not exactly heavy metal) which last around 4 hours. I’ve used it on test for around five hours and the indication is that it’s still around half charged. The Bluetooth is a useful bonus and I’ve already found a way to use it (get a BT transmitter dongle) so in effect three inputs. Seems to pair very easily. One of the reviews you can find on YouTube says throw the included microphone away. Bit harsh (it works) but it’s rather lightweight and doesn’t have much cable. I bought a wireless UHF mike with a plug in receiver (both battery powered) so I have a totally non mains dependant/cable free system for small venues. No more carting all the cables around and worrying where the mains sockets are!Customer

Hosting raging parties, practicing my karaoke, or rocking out with my guitar has never sounded better, and louder, thanks to the new Bose S1 Pro floor monitor speaker designed for just that. Well, it may be a stretch about the raging parties due to the pandemic and me getting too old for that but it’s still an incredible speaker. In any case, this thing was designed just for us audiophiles who love loud, clear, crisp sound even if you’re not entertaining. Out of the box, the S1 was very easy to set up; simply plug it in with the included power cord, download and set up the speaker in the Bose+ app and you’re ready to rock out… or listen to smooth jazz via a Bluetooth connection and your smart device, plug in that acoustic guitar and a microphone for you entertainers, or basically this thing can handle whatever you throw at it. Having been a loyal and repeat customer of anything Bose, it is a simple set up and easy app to control even for those new to their products. I would like to see more options like syncing streaming services and EQ settings in the app similar to the Bose Music app but clearly that’s not what this speaker was designed for. The app does give you the option for Party Mode which you can connect multiple other compatible speakers to. On the speaker itself, which has a convenient handle on top and was surprisingly lighter than other PA monitor speakers I have used in the past, you will find two combo-XLR inputs to connect your instrument and/or microphone. For those musician/singers, Bose uses dedicated ToneMatch processing and Auto EQ to ensure you and the speaker sound the best. There are gains for each of these inputs which let you adjust the reverb, bass, treble and volume. There is a smaller 3.5mm auxiliary input for any other audio devices such as smart phones or MP3 players with a headphone jack which also has a volume control. There is a dedicated line out to connect to other systems. The S1 has built in sensors that know how you have the speaker set up, whether straight up, on its side, elevated or tilted to ensure sound is being distributed appropriately. For those that would like to listen to music or perform where there may not be a power source, Bose added a rechargeable battery option to allow portability. The Bose S1 Pro monitor speaker is a great option from one of the best names in the business. I LOVE this Bose S1 PRO! It is a 150W PA Speaker with a three-channel mixer and 35mm mount. It features two combo XLRs w/ 1/4" jack and 3.5mm or BT 5.0 as 3rd input. A line out links to another speaker or mixer. An onboard accelerometer auto EQs the S1 Pro based on the speaker orientation in one of 4 positions: on the ground, on its side, tilted back, or elevated. You can hear the differences, especially regarding the bass EQ in all positions. The Bose Connect app brings smart connectivity and ease of use for streaming. I am trying to find a battery to make it portable, but I will need to wait with supply problems. This thing is the truth for its size and the sound it produces; the sound stage is simply magic using the angles speakers in the array. The sound is excellent from this speaker, and the size is perfect for a well-built package; the S1 Pro will last for years to come. There is a lot to like about the Bose S1 Pro from its lightweight 13.5 lb adaptable form-factor, durable construction, and its built-in 3-channel mixer. This specific version does not include the rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack, reducing the upfront cost and weight of the speaker, but limits you to spaces where you can plug the speaker into an outlet 6 feet away to use it. A battery can be purchased separately or you can opt for the bundled version for on-the-go use. Thankfully, a battery is trivial to install in the bottom of the speaker beneath a panel attached with two easy-to-remove screws, if you decide you need this feature, and I like that this design allows you to easily replace the battery, if needed. There’s a chunky handle inlaid on the top of the speaker so that it sits flush with the body, allowing you to carry and move it around easily. This speaker can be used in a number of orientations including upright, horizontal, tilted back, and stand mounted (35mm), each providing a different sound profile that automatically adjusts EQ to achieve optimal projection. There are rubber non-slip pads on all the surfaces that you can use when the unit is freestanding. While it seems a small bother, the logo on the front of the speaker can be rotated 360° in 90° intervals (counter-clockwise only) in order to match the orientation of the speaker as well. This speaker has 3 input channels, 2 XLR and one 3.5mm AUX/Bluetooth combo channel. The two XLR inputs also accept ¼” jack inputs and can be used with any powered input device, like a microphone, mixer, looper, or instrument, for example a guitar or keyboard, but neither channel offers phantom power so would not be suitable for condenser microphones that require it. There are individual volume controls for each channel, though only the XLR channels have EQ adjustment dials: treble, bass, and reverb. Additionally, you can enable ToneMatch for mic or guitar input, which applies additional presets accordingly like a low-cut filter. Setting ToneMatch to ‘off’ is equivalent to line level input. The PA system can pair with a Bluetooth audio source by pressing the Bluetooth button for several seconds to enter pairing mode. Note that if AUX input is used, Bluetooth input will be overridden even if a Bluetooth source is paired with the speaker and transmitting audio. When paired with a phone, you can receive notification sounds through the speaker, but if you receive a phone call, ringing and call audio will not be played through the speaker. With my Android phone, I had to download the Bose Connect app in order to pair to the S1 Pro, though I was able to directly pair an iPhone to the speaker without the app. The Bose Connect app does offer more functionality for you to manage the speaker’s settings like paired Bluetooth devices, enable ‘Party Mode’ to sync audio output to other Bose SoundLink Bluetooth speakers for multi-speaker playback, toggle on/off ‘auto-off’ (to save battery power), and check remaining battery life (if installed). If you do have a second speaker paired in Party Mode, you can subsequently switch to ‘Stereo’ mode for left and right track separation on each speaker rather than playing the same audio in unison. You can also daisy chain a second S1 Pro with a ¼” TRS cable using the Line Out port, however, it is not possible to achieve true stereo output with this method. In terms of audio quality, the sound is very good. While mono only, it’s clean and balanced with a decent amount of bass reproduction; however, I felt channel 3 lacked a little bit of treble depth both over Bluetooth and via AUX input, and unfortunately it’s the only channel that doesn’t allow for onboard EQ adjustments, so you’ll need to set the EQ from the source device when possible. The other thing to keep in mind is that at high volumes, it is possible to experience some clipping and distortion, and the LED next to each channel’s volume dial will display red when the input signal exceeds the limiters, indicating the volume should be reduced in order to protect the speaker from damage and improve sound quality. Performance of my dynamic microphone with the S1 Pro was awesome. The audio is clear and very crisp, but keep in mind the ToneMatch Mic mode is optimized for close usage with your mouth nearly touching the mic. The reverb controls are also nice for creating a sense of space and dimension without muddying the sound too much, depending on the experience you’re going for. The PA system is perfect for both solo and duo singers/musicians. We love using it for karaoke since we can have two mics attached for duet numbers and the music input on channel 3. The one thing I don't recommend the speaker for is pairing over Bluetooth with a video source, for example to watch video on a mobile device or stream audio from a movie projector because there is a miniscule but noticeable (to me) amount of lag/delay between the audio and the image on the screen when used this way.
