Best Mic For Guitar Amp Live (2024 Update)

I bought to of these to run as a stereo pair for guitar amplifiers in a live environment. They are terrific! They handle whatever two 100 watt amps can throw at them and do not color the sound in any sort of negative manner. They definitely let the amps tone shine right through. I went from two classic Sm57s to these and I just notice more clarity and detail than I did with the 57s. Mic placement is a breeze. I spent all of 5 minutes with a pre-recorded loop figuring out the most natural sound and its very easy to find the large sweetspot with these mics. Again, the 57 does not have a huge sweet spot.Blakemore

I have a Demeter Silent Speaker Iso Box that I have been using a 57 and a 58 in with semi-satisfying results. I built a second box to put the Demeter in to even further cut down on the sound levels in my studio. I have taken the door off of the Demeter to let it breath and it takes away all the boxiness of the sound. The only thing missing was this mic! It sounds so much better I can't even believe it! It's so much more balanced and it has smoothed out the mids that have a tendency to build up in a small space like this. Blending the 58 in brings back a little of the "mid scoop" present in the 906. The super cardioid polar pattern of this mic is perfect for this application. From clean to crunch to distortion, my iso rig now sounds like a mic'd up cab in a dead room. All of my stomp boxes and guitars are now in play as they sound like real guitars and not mid range and nasally toys. I am blown away! Buy this mic and follow this recipe if you want an iso box to sound like an isolation room. I took a chance on this mic. I didnt want to spend a lot of money for a spare mic. This mic has the feel, weight, and quality of more expensive mics I have. It has good sound. While Ill continue to use my more expensive mics because of their more nuanced sound, this mic will do the job and get you through the gig.blustrt

The web says this mic is noisy. I haven't found this to be the case as I run it into my Xenyx 302 mixer. It isn't the lightweight, ultra-portable podcast mic (like my Tonor BM-800) – but then it doesn't weigh like an elephant either! The pickup pattern is nice too. Strange is my description for this little microphone because I don't know of another like it! It is a small diaphragm mike, despite being side-address. Actually, a very small electric element, not that there's anything wrong with that. Some of the most accurate (and expensive) mikes out there have the same setup. I bought a pair of these C3s as spot mikes in live recording (choirs and such) and the multi-pattern feature is a definite plus for this. I know of no other microphone — at least at this price range — with the same feature set. It's also handy as a studio mike on acoustic instruments. The figure-8 setting is excellent in that role, surprisingly flat response with good side rejection.Quibbles: a tad noisy, but that's to be expected with the very small diaphragm. It's a trade-off. The fitting are mostly plastic and could degrade over time. No problems so far though, I would point out. There is a foam wind screen inside the mesh head-basket that will also degrade eventually and it's not so easy getting it out. I opened up the mike and removed it right away (there goes the warranty!) which improved the sound a bit too.Steve B-fDH9F

Looking for a really low cost, low end studio mike, this is it, but with limitations. You can't beat the features. Comes with 10db attenuation switch, hi pass switch, plus multi pattern for around $100. Got mine new for $65. The bad: frequency response is around 70-17000 so you don't have the highs. You can hear the difference compared to low end audio technica At2020. This mike would be good for broadcasting, announcing, & other non vocal applications or mid range instrument recording such as guitar, snare drums.radio10

I needed a microphone for a conference that would plug into my laptop, but did not want one solely for that purpose, so a USB mic was not my preference. Musician's Friend steered me to this Behringer mic. The price was right–especially for a condenser mic–and with the appropriate (Behringer) interface, it was plug-and-play into the laptop. But once I started using it, I found that it was much more versatile than that. It has great sound reproduction, and I really like that it has three fields: omni-, cardiod, and figure eight. I was able to pick up speakers from over fifteen feet away, and the quality was much better than boundary mics I have used. It’s only the practical issue of size! There is no real indication of size for this mic and I understand why. Yet it’s HUGE, I can’t have it centered in front of me even. It’s the same size as a very large orange, so 10 cm across and on its 20 cm high stand it is a very large black bobb! It also has a very bright red light when it has power and this annoying light at night has no function at all. As ounce it’s plugged in, it’s always on. So why advertise the fact with such a large bright light? Needless to say, it does have two very important redeeming features; very good sound quality and because of this alone it’s then very cheap. My son actually sounds exactly as if his in the same room with no distortions. Yet 3 stars is still a very good achievement in my opinion. Recommend this as it can be placed to one side. Really good mic. I really love it. it's a very big upgrade over my 20 dollar wireless headphones. and I continue to use my Corsair HS35with it, just like my old wireless headphones. the plug and play with absolutely nothing avoiding its path are very amazing. Zero Complaints One thing though is if you do have background noise you should consider going with another microphone like the Razer Seiren Mini, Or a HyperX. Really love this microphone though. the sound quality of the voice is outstanding. I got it on sale for 50$. Meh and letdown would be the words to describe this. First of all they need to remove the $20 Ubisoft part of the item description. The codes these contain are all from 2020/2021 and well expired. But we don't buy microphones for whatever dollar off codes they contain – this was meant to be used in place of a full-on gaming headset – hoping the mic quality would be better than a my laptops mic array, without looking like a knob on conference calls while working from home with a cumbersome gaming headset on. Mission accomplished? Nope. Well. You at least look normal speaking – the downside here is this mic picks up EVERYTHING. Like. Everything. Typing? Kids? Someone in the house on the other side of the same floor flushing a toilet? Yep, check everything. To the point co-workers asked how I even got any work done. I can't have that while working. And being a Blue product, I expected some customization in voice and some sort of background canceling – but the software is limited to showing you your iCE mic and controlling only the gain. And even then unless I was on top of the thing, it wasn't picking up my voice very well – but had no problem with everything else leaking through in my house. Disappointing. Back to the store this went. I could only see low end streamers using this in a sound proof room. Otherwise I'd highly recommend skipping.NikS

I set up in my basement with it a few weeks ago and started messing around, have found nothing to be disliked. The overall sound is good, it has strong low end for my growls, and it doesn't have any problems with recording at any volume. I even put it in front of my drumset to see if it'd pick up okay, which it did surprisingly well with. I haven't been doing vocals for very long, but from what I can tell it easily competes with mics twice the price. 10/10 would recommend, worth it. P.s. get a pop filter toothe wheat man

I have one first generation version, which lacks the headphone jack, and this is my 2nd of the newer generation. If using this in an application where you want a shock mount, be sure to buy the Audio Technica shock mount that is made for this exact form factor. I have both of mine on boom arms. I like the side address form factor and the ability to get cheap pop filters that are semi-cylindrical. Compared to the much more expensive gold standard Shure SM7B, this sounds a bit brighter and has a wider, flatter frequency response. That makes the AT2020 better suited for instrumentals and other sound sources, whereas the SM7B tends to be very specifically suited to voices. I own USB and XLR versions of this mic, and the integrated analog-to-digital conversation seems very good, not introducing detectable noise.Matthew

I looked up and down everywhere to see what's the best mic for all around, Like the hidden gem in the cornfield. People told me the rodemic, Razer and snow xlr mic, But from looking past the "Normal" I seen the sm57. A famous hidden mic no one really knew about, Basically has the same tone sm7b just a little different. $100ish instead of $400 count me in, I been using it for zoom calls, Twitch, Discord and everyone i talked to said i went from a very noisy and outland voice to a solid nice tone. I personally use mine with a boom arm, the a81ws, focusrite. No issues with it and i had it for about 3 months, I'm not the gentlest on it either so I feel comfortable using it on a day to day basis. I've only had chance to do a quick sound check miking my Bugera V22 and recording the sound using my new Tascam DP-008 EX 8-track recorder. Sound quality was very good, especially for a basic home office recording setup. I can see why this mic is so popular in the industry. For perspective, I am a hobbyist and don't perform, but like to have the best sound for my limited budget to make recordings for myself and maybe friends and family. This mic lives up to its rep for being a great value for what you pay, punching above its class, no doubt.Steve

I think for the price this is a decent mic. It gives a clearer sound then what I had in my arsenal for my acoustic guitar. I've not tried it on anything else, so I haven't had a need to use the pad. I was trying large condensers on the acoustic and they were too muffled. This comes across much cleaner, maybe a little on the bright side but that's better than muddled. I'm using it to mic at the fingerboard and it gives a better, cleaner and more full bodied sound. I would note it's a little sensitive to being bumped. I found if I bump it I have to readjust the connection to get rid of a bit of hum it seems to pick up after the bump.Z

I used this product on a number of things. Timbale,Drums Overheads,Acoustic Guitars,String Quartets, Vocal Choirs,Steel Drums and well as room mic's. It comes with a 20db pad which is very helpful when recording loud percussion like Timbale,Steel Drums, and loud Drums. Make sure you have a low noise pre amp and you get really good results. I only wish it came with omni capsules or at least had that option. These mic's are great for the money.Joseph

I was reluctant to believe that I could make any type of Splash using this microphone to do my first ever voice over gig, but honestly it was all I could afford at the time. It came out smelling like a rose! Of course at that price point you're not going to get anything close to a u87ai. And the noise floor in my opinion leaves quite a bit to be desired, but with the little bit of offset compression and some other tweaking, this mic can sound as good as anything Shure has on the market, or possibly even the sm58 for voiceover work.RB

I think this microphone works incredible for recording my combo amplifier using it in conjunction with my SHURE SM57. Even the AKG P120 alone is a great sound, but together you get all the right highs, mids, and lows for a sweet smooth guitar recording for Rock N Roll and Steve Vai style solo playing. I bought this B stock and its flawless and even came with the basic mic clamp. I'll get a shock mount later. Would I buy this again or another AKG? Oh yes! It records the sound facing the amp very well while blocking out surrounding noise behind it. Built like a tank, sweet look to it, great sound, what more could you want? Pick one up. Overall: This is a pretty good all-rounder condenser mic. I find that it seems to give a fairly pleasant tone to most sources. It sounds very good on weaker voiced vocals. The built-in optional low cut and attenuator is also nice for this price point – I bought this microphone for only 79 dollars! It's not quite the cheapest condenser on the market but I'm very happy with the price spent versus what this mic can produce. If you're on a budget this is probably one of the better mic choices, without sacrificing too much on sound quality.Eric

The AKG P120 has very good dynamic range for a budget microphone. Excellent for voice, and quite good for instrumentals (cello and guitar), too. I listened to every microphone in the $150-250 dollar range before making a decision, and this handily outperformed every other mic in this class. Very nice build quality, heavy and robust.Brian

Following extensive research on the Net, I purchased this microphone for general male and female live vocals home use, to replace an old AIWA vintage dynamic microphone. I particularly wanted a brighter, crisper vocals cadence. I am not at all qualified in sound engineering, therefore my opinion is based solely on personal taste. I am delighted with its sensitivity and clarity, appearance and robust construction, as well as the zipped bag, microphone clip and non-kinking microphone cable supplied with it. To me, this microphone appears to have a pleasing, slightly reduced proximity effect, in that vocals bass tone is not unduly exaggerated or muddy when singing very close to the microphone (e.g. approximately 50 mm from the mesh). Based on the research I did, for my personal taste, this appears to be an improvement on a Shure SM58 microphone. The manual states that this Sennheiser E835 requires phantom power. In view of its excellent performance, this is not an issue and I am using it with a TC Helicon VoicelivePlay which from memory provides 48v phantom power. This microphone doesn't have a switch, which for my limited budget kept the price down. At the price of AU$99.00 I paid, including delivery, I would definitely purchase another.2008_prado

Overall: For an extra $10 you also get a cable and boom stand?!? It would be foolish to pass on this mic if you are currently in the market for one!! I didn't purchase mine through zZounds, so I did not get the extras, which is a Great offer!! I will review it here anyway, since I Love this company and want people to know about this microphone. This mic is AMAZING!! Yes, it is wonderful on guitar cabs, but it sounds just Insanely GREAT on Any and All Acoustic instruments. Besides being a musician, I am also a serious, professionally-trained audio engineer…so, I am not a novice with no perspective. I mostly record (and play) Rock, Metal, Punk, Acoustic, etc etc types of music. However, I recently recorded a group I usually do not record…which was a Bluegrass group who also played a little bit of Country and Gospel. In fact, I had never recorded or played this type of music before this. They played Mostly Very Traditional songs (some very old) and wanted a VERY Natural sound and the way they put it was that they Only used instruments that would have existed and been available to mountain musicians back in the 1800s. Sadly (for me), this meant there were no drums. Regardless of the genre, I Always try to get the sound the client truly wants. I already knew the e906 sounds Great on guitar amps/cabs, whether distorted or not. But I decided to try it on some of the acoustic instruments in this situation. Among other mics used, I recorded some Banjo, Acoustic Guitar, and Mandolin using the e906. And……WOW did these instruments come out sounding nothing less than Spectacular!!! I did not try it on Bass or Vocals so I cannot comment on the e906's performance with them. But I have NEVER been disappointed with this mic on Anything…EVER!! If you are thinking of getting an e609 (a Great mic) and have the extra money….upgrade and get THIS MIC!!! Especially with the current offer of an extra $10 for a cable and boom standDavid

Sound: While the Blue Yeti may not be THE best sounding USB mic right out of the box, it does have good sound quality. With a little tweaking through a free audio mixer software like Voice Meeter Banana will result in a very professional sounding mic without spending the big bucks. Stock settings will give you more than sufficient sound quality though. With easy access to the knobs to control the gain and pic up pattern makes for easy adjusting on the fly. Due to the pic up patterns I would only recommend this mic for individual use and not for an interview setting. Price: Being priced at $130 isn't terrible, but should probably be closer to the $100.00 mic segment given it doesn't have XLR. Personally, I would opt to buy the Blue Yeticaster Broadcast Bundle which includes the mic (no desktop stand), boom arm, and shockmount for $180-$200 vs the stand alone Blue Yeti Mic for reasons below. Purchasing all three items individually would be in the $280 range Keep in Mind/Cons: I would highly, highly, highly recommend a boom arm for this mic. The desk stand for the mic is not very useful. I found myself slouching over due to having no height adjustment. Additionally, to get your mouth the appropriate distance from the mic for optimal sound quality (without cranking the gain) means the mic stand is sitting at an awkward spot in relation to your keyboard/mouse. I also found that with the desk stand no matter how I positioned the mic, set the pickup, gain or gate I could not eliminate picking up desk noise such as keyboard clicks, mouse clicks, or even setting my phone down on the desk due no shock dampening. Even setting the stand on a towel did not assist much. Mounting the mic to the Blue Boom Arm completely fixed the unwanted sound and positioning issues. If you are going to mount this mic to the Blue Boom Arm I would recommend installing it with the shock mount. The shock mount isn't much of an advantage sound quality wise, but definitely helps weight wise with the boom arm. While this mic is heavier than normal it's not quite heavy enough on it's on for the Blue Boom Arm. I found the boom arm wanting to "snap open" on the loosest tension settings due to there not being enough weight at the end of it. Adding the yeti shock mount to the mic and boom arm allowed for the proper weight to adjust the mic to my desired position without any sagging or raising. In conclusion, I would highly recommend this mic being purchased in the Yesticaster bundle due to the savings vs buying the individual components. While I still can recommend the mic being purchased individually, I believe you're going to be wanting a boom arm sooner rather than later due to the desk stand offering no dampening or height adjustment.Preston H

So far so good, sounds excellent as expected. I will likely need to put it on a box to elevate it, or get a boom mount. Installation was removing from packaging and plugging in the usb cable. Done. This review is taking longer to write than the installation. What surprised me though is that it's about twice the size I expected. I figured it was maybe an inch and a half wide, subconsciously extrapolating from smaller hand held mikes I've had previously. It's 2-1/2 wide at the screen, 2-3/4 on the main body. 11-1/4 or so tall. I've seen complaints that the stand is flimsy, but it sure isn't, it's pretty weighty and metal, not plastic, which is good. You do need to tighten the side screws to firm positioning up, but that's done with fingers. There's a threaded hole on the bottom that's about 1/2 wide, apparently you can get a 1/4-20 adapter for it. I'm guessing it'll screw into a mike stand, but I don't have one to check. Nice rubber bottom, anti-skid and won't mark your desk up. I'm pretty happy with it, the build quality is good, no complaints there. Using with a Mac, just showed up in preferences as a selection for both input and output (has a headset amp built in, 1/8 jack). Recorded a test video screen capture with voice over, no problem. The multiple patterns are nice, I haven't tried them all yet, but I'll probably just use the Cardoid/single person pattern mostly. Ideal speaking distance seems to be around a foot, but you can easily use it from a yard or more away. Has gain control that I didn't even need to turn up at all. All in all, it seems like a no-brainer. I see why the major reviews are pretty unanimous in recommending it.Jay

White-out is gorgeous, nice to have software support but also physical buttons. Yeti mics used to not have any native software controls but now they are recognized inside Ghub so if you want to do things like equalizing via that, you can (or whatever other audio software you are using). The physical buttons are also great though because you can make adjustments on the fly without having to navigate to software. That makes it pretty versatile for a lot of different use cases. Some people are experts and doing some serious audio work, others just want a nice mic for their zoom meetings. I'm in the latter category. I do think there are better mics out there for audio experts but for the price, this is an awesome mic for someone who just wants to sound better than everyone else in their meeting or want some good controls for things like background nosie.Spacey

If you are looking for a budget mic that is warm and tube like, this is it. I bought this because of reputation not because of the price. It is a fantastic mic. Nothing cheap sounding about it and I had no issues with self noise either. Used with a dbx 286s channel strip with a bit of compression and EQ going into my DAW. A clean preamp.. You can’t go wrong and it looks cheesely cool. Sounds above it’s price point. For the price you can’t beat it. By the way it is nicely made too. No worries there. Used on female vocals only. First, B&H got this here quickly even in these times, great job. I watched many online reviews of this before I bought it. The reviews I watched and read were correct, this microphone is amazing for the price. It has extremely little noise and sounds amazing for the price. It supposedly originally retailed for $200 and now is under $100. At that price it's a steal. I'm planning on doing home recordings of my wife and I singing some of my arrangements for fun. I want her to sound good (which she does) and this should bring out her true quality. This mic did not come with any accessories like some others do, so I have added a pop filter and shock mount which should take it to the next level. Other than that, I can't think of any negatives at this price point. Recommended.Robert

Firstly it comes in a really nice wooden storage box, very classy presentation I must say. For the prices I can't believe the sheer quality and crystal clear signal processing it contains. I find myself barely having to push my EQ or compression as I would normally with one of my old mics which found better use at a pawn shop! I've only had it about 4 months now, and since then every artist I work with including my own songs have been worlds easier to mix and also sound worlds better. I highly recommend it for any engineer or producer on a budget and need a great input source for their craft to have it's best foot forward.EZ Duzzit

I am more than pleased with the Bluebird SL. The upward curve in frequency response exactly meets my needs (recording a wind instrument whose character lies hidden in the overtones). I can easily imagine voices or instruments that this mic is unsuitable for but if you find yourself boosting the 5khz-8khz with eq to achieve a certain presence, do yourself a favor and let this mic do it for you.Mitchell

I love how clear my Bluebird SLs are on everything I've tried them on. Vocals pop in mixes without being too edgy. There's so much headroom there that I need less preamp gain, making for a much cleaner sound. They also sound nice and clean in various positions on my Guild D25 acoustic… even right up on the sound hole without being boomy. I find Bluebirds are brilliant on hand percussion, as well. I liked my first Bluebird so much, I got a second one for stereo. A pair of Bluebirds made my relatively mellow 7' Steinway B cut through an ensemble mix in much more the way a Yamaha does, so bonus… two grands in one! (For solo piano, I'm preferring a pair of Blue's Baby Bottle SLs due to their additional low end.) All in all, Bluebirds are good for just about anything you want to feature in a track, especially if you're going for a modern sound.Moogman

I use for Amateur Radio microphone with a Behringer 802 mixer. Of course, there are much better mics, but for the money, this is hard to beat, especially for the application for which I am using. I have been told that my transmit audio is much better than any Amateur Radio microphone that they have heard; that I sound like a professinal broadcast station.I am sure that this mic would serve well for any home recording studio. Their construction seems well. The B-1 microphone is a very good sounding microphone for voice. I don't know how good it is for recording music? There is also a problem with some B-1 microphone. One problem is a low sounding rumble generated in the microphone and the other is gain will suddenly drop off. I have several of this type as well as friends who own them. They have reported the same problems. Some have gutted the microphone and have rebuilded them with replacement condenser components as the case is very well built and it would be a shame to drop it in the garbage. Overall a good microphone but you might get a bad one!pfineyanke

I was looking for a condenser mic to do vocal recording (and to experiment with some multi-mic recording of my guitar amp). I fully expected to pay $250 for a low-end mic, and when I found the B-1 I was a bit skeptical at first. I do own some other products from Behringer, and I'm happy with them, so I rolled the dice, and boy am I ever glad I did. The clarity of this thing is phenomenal. It is extremely well constructed, comes with a rock solid shock mount, a removeable wind screen, and a really nice carrying case. For vocals, I could literally whisper into this thing and not get lost in the mix. For my amp (a Fender DeVille Deluxe with a Gibson SG guitar) I miked it about a foot from the front, off center, and the attack was just great. I will never go back to shoving an SM57 into the grill cloth again, those days are over. If you're on the fence, I suggest you buy this mic and try it. I really like these mics and occasionally look around to pick up a couple others if I catch a good deal. I think they are way underrated. They sound great, take fairly high SPL, and have a large diaphragm, a couple pickup patterns, and attenuation switches. They're also aren't SO sensitive that they pick up every outside and background sound that you don't want and then spend too much time trying to filter out in the mix. Not an issue if you have a super expensive pro studio, but even with a very well sound-treated basement, there are still house sounds and outside noises that you don't want in your recording that could get in. They also work very well as live sound mics on acoustic instruments where the overall stage volume is reasonable. Really great workhorses for the money. This was a case where I found one that appeared to be well taken care of at a good price. When it arrived, it was as clean and well taken care of as it wa described. A very happy purchase.res003lm

I bought the AKG C3000 primarily because I was looking for a decent condenser microphone, form a reputable manufacturer, within budget. I never expected a magnificent sound from this mic. But my expectations were surpassed considering the sound derived form the C3000. To begin with, this mic is solidly built in Vienna, Austria and looks elegant in black metallic finish. I use it with m101 preamp and the sound is clear and upfront. Given the price, it delivers a well defined sound. I am pleased!T&T Dale

This is for the #sweepstakes but even without it I would still review this product. I'm a producer that's starting out and originally I bought some cheap mic on some random online service. But once I had more money I bought my SM58 since I knew how much of a classic mic it is. It was a great decision I solely use it now and it sounds great and so clean. Ordered this for our church. Mostly vocals and some speech. Mic is a fantastic upgrade from our older model Shure BG3.1 mics. I know we had these for a long while but this sm58s sounds fantastic and made a huge difference in clarity and crispness. I was told the Shure sm58 is one of the best all general purpose mics for sound quality and build and so far (a few months now) I couldn't agree more! As far as the switch goes, our old mics had them so I kept them the same but I seem to like having the switch in the event you don't have someone at the sound board you can set it up and just switch on when needed. Also bought this in a bundle with a boom stand and mic cable which was a good value. If your in the market for a great all purpose mic def check this bundle out. You won't be disappointed! I purchased this microphone when I was searching for a solution for a podcast I am a part of. I did a lot of research and I never considered Shure because the options I knew of were out of my price range. I was looking mostly at the famous Yeti. But then I came across the MV5 at a music store and purchased it. The versatility of using it with a computer or iPhone allowed me to record not only the podcast but sound recording with my son's cello playing. The aesthetics are fantastic, and I was happy to get the black/red one. Also, it has a standard mounting plug so I used it with a regular camera tripod when I started using it then moved to the desk stand included. It has proven to be very high quality on my recordings and very flexible. I coupled it with the companion iPhone app and was able to get the levels just right by looking at the gain graph and position the microphone to avoid distortion. This microphone has proven to be a fantastic purchase. Now my other son is into streaming and YouTube so I think I will get one for him as well. I had it paired with my SE425's but when my wife gave me the RMCE-TW1 I had to change my monitoring headphones. Feels I should have at least 215's instead of the Sony ones I have, probably in the future.Javier M

We are doing church services using Zoom for some of our members that are still concerned about Covid. The previous microphone was sketchy, and would pick up the noise of a crying child better than the speakers. My brother in law's church was using Shure, so we opted to give it a try. I saw a review of this microphone by Warren Huart on one of his many You Tube videos. He raved about the quality of the Lewitt LCT 140 and so I went with his advice. I have not been disappointed. The quality I am getting when recording my Taylor acoustic guitar is excellent. To such an extent that I have had to carry out virtually no EQing after the recording. Pleased with the price/performance of these mics. Using them as drum overheads and plan to get a stereo bar and record guitar in the future. First small-diaphragm condensers for me, so cannot compare to any other mics. I like having the Air/Flat, low-cut filter and PAD options although I haven't had a change to a/b test them all yet.David
