1. Electro Harmonix Bad Stone Phase Shifter Pedal
Product Details:
The original electro harmonix bad stone is back! originally launched in 1977 this really cool six stage phase shifter could be heard on a plethora of different albums throughout the late 70's and early 80's before it was discontinued. now ehx are bringing this legend back with modern tweaks and build quality. the only change made to the circuit from the original pedal is that the minimum modulation rate is now a bit slower than before which suits some of the more modern guitar styles. just like the original pedal you have two modes of operation. you can either control it in auto mode with your standard rate and feedback controls which uses the lfo to constantly move the phase. the other mode disables the lfo and you instead control the frequency with the manual shift control. this second mode lets you get everything for a subtle parked wah effect to some really cool out of phase tones.

Reviews:
My board is pretty basic – ancient Cry Baby, Dynacomp, ehx Glove, Echoplex, Boss tremelo and, now, the Badstone. Tried several, but was most pleased with the Badstone. It has the widest rate range of all, the depth pot is very usable, and the manual mode is great for comb filter/cocked-wah effects. Clean you have that classic 70's Waylon phase, all the way to space ship madness with some gain and creativity. The only criticism is it would be very useful to have a more subtle range on the shallow end of the depth control. Rolled hard left it is still not very subtle. But it is lush, syrupy, and very good for the money.Fixit Guy
I wholly recommend the Bad Stone! Many phasers coat your sound, and you feel as though you're playing the pedal rather than the guitar, but with the bad stone your instrument's sound shines through, dynamics, pickup selection, and all. The speed all the way up yields an almost ring-mod effect. The manual switch can grant you some deliberately tinny rhythm guitar effects, not unlike out-of-phase pickups. The feedback knob dimed gives you a bizarre low oscillator effect. It's a lot of pedal in a small box!kevsonicist
I love this. Been using it now for almost a year. Goes from subtle to full phase in a instant. Get you one!MThomas

Reviews:
Fuzz sounds great and phaser sounds great. Its a damn shame though they didn't give you the ability to just use the fuzz. Had I been on that design team I would have insisted on it. Also the volume drop kind of sucks and one more thing that kind of annoys me is the inability to change the speed of the fast phasing. I could also mention the fact that it basically takes almost all the real estate on your board as well as being the heaviest pedal I've ever owned so playing live with it is kind of a no go. Bottom line. Its great for home and studio use but I wouldn't use it live. It is a great sounding pedal and its built to last though.Jonathan Pidock
They say they don't make them like they used to, and this pedle is to make them. Amazing. The price kinda sucks, but after enough youtube reviews, i oulled the trigger, and this is how it should be. Complete replica of what David gilmour and other artists would use as the phaser paddle back in the daySixtyentree
As a fuzz and phaser junkie I was really excited to get this pedal. But after two hours of sorting through the various settings, I have concluded this pedal WOULD be nearly perfect if it had a TONE KNOB. But it doesn't. Using the 'Jet' settings (fuzz) this pedal is insanely bright. Too bright. Using a Marshall DSL1 through a 1×12 cab I first used a Player Series Strat (SSS) and even on the neck pickup with the tone on 0 it was just too bright. Turning down the treble on the amp didn't help. I switched to an HSH Strat and the tone was tamed slightly with humbuckers but it was just still too bright. The two phaser-only settings don't sound bad but the volume drop when the effect is engaged makes it almost inaudible. I'll be returning this and going back to my MXR Phase 95 and Ram's Head Big Muff fuzz. I have to say the pedal appears to be very well made. If it only had a tone knob…
3. Mxr M107 – Phase 100 Pedal
Product Details:
Wonderful classic sounding phaser. pedal shows some signs of wear and has a couple of chips but overall is in very good condition. the mxr phase 100 takes the lush and dreamy sound of the iconic mxr phase 90 and turns it up a notch. actually, it turns it up four notches! packed with four selectable preset intensities, the mxr phase 100 can produce a range of phased-out sounds from subtle swooshes to deep, warbling modulations and includes a speed knob to control how wild or mild it gets. not just for guitars, the mxr phase 100 is a great tool for the studio that can add excitement to drum overheads, vocals, synths, and more. when choosing a phaser, guitarists at sweetwater know they can trust anything in an orange box. and for those looking for a touch more tweakability, the mxr phase 100 is a perfect choice!

Reviews:
An all-time classic! I had the Phase 90 many years ago and it's still a wonderful pedal. The 100 adds sophistication without detracting from the qualities of the 90. Prices are obviously rising, but this is one of a core set of pedals for achieving a range of valuable sounds.hanr3b
This phaser can get nice FAT bass tones on 2 of the 4 choices of phasing (the bigger circles). The other 2 do a nice job of phasing, but with less volume and girth. The far left phaser is the best, volume stays the same or there may be the slightest increase…hard to tell exactly. However, the sound stays nice and FAT. Your bass continues to sound like an effected bass. Very sweet and rich. The speed knob can give varying degrees of warble. Cleaner than a flanger and more sparkling than a chorus pedal. Like every MXR pedal I have owned, this one is built like a tank and it adds very little or no extra noise when engaged. The bomb.Yaathrik
4. Jhs 3 Series Phaser Pedal
Product Details:
The jhs 3 series flanger pedal is a versatile and easy to use six stage phaser pedal inspired by the classic phaser circuits of the 1970s (mxr phase 100, top gear phaser etc.) the blend knob allows you to blend in the phaser effect over your clean signal (fully wet/clockwise can achieve an almost vibrato effect), the rate knob controls the speed of the phasing (the led pulses in time with the modulation) and the width knob controls the width of the frequency response. the f.back (feedback) toggle switch adds resonance to the effect by feeding the output back into the input creating a more intense phase by emphasizing certain frequencies. the jhs pedals 3 series is a collection of pedals designed to give you affordability and simplicity without compromising quality. each 3 series pedal is made by jhs in the usa using their high quality parts, quality control and attention to detail. they all have three simple controls knobs and one toggle switch to offer a wide range of sounds, perfect for beginners and professionals alike. the jhs pedals 3 series will inspire your playing and help you explore new sounds at a totally approachable price point.

As Julius Cesar said when crossing the Rubicon: "The die has been cast". I am an avid pedal enthusiast, as my 42 pedal pedalboard will attest; and I have had a few flangers before, but ABSOLUTELY NOTHING compares to Josh's flanger. I could add to this review but it will not do anything for you: JUST BUY IT! YOU NEED IT! THERE'S NO OTHER FLANGER LIKE IT! YOU'LL REGRET NOT HAVING THIS CLASSIC IN YOUR COLLECTION A FEW YEARS FROM NOW. Trust me, I'm a Doctor.
I can get this pedal to do three things: a very subtle reverb that adds a touch of space, a room-like reverb, and a super long-tailed ambient reverb that's so expansive it almost sounds like it's mixed with delay. There are other reverb pedals for a bit more money that have more options built into them-spring, plate, hall, room, shimmer, modulated reverb, and so on. With this pedal I find it difficult to switch between the different sounds since it's a lot of knob fiddling. It does sound absolutely killer, which is why I gave it 4 stars, but I don't recommend it if you want to easily switch between different types of reverb. For me it will be more of a "set and forget" pedal for long ambient reverbs.Andrew
I was recently using one pedal board for all my guitars, and the chorus I had was mainly designed for use with acoustic guitar. Now I'm rearranging things to have one board just for my electric guitars and all I needed was a basic chorus pedal of quality build and tone. I knew from reviews the JHS 3 series was perfect for me. I've been playing for 57 years and have owned pedals in the $100 to $500 range to provide my chorus effects. No matter if I had mulitple options in some stomp boxes I usually settled on a good subtle setting, so I knew there was no need for me to get anything fancier than the JHS. It sounds are good as the little blue Boss Chorus I bought way back in 1980.Jon

Reviews:
Great Boss pedal with versatile phaser settings and classic 'built like a tank' sturdiness. I have never had any Boss pedal stop functioning, and I bought my first one in 1990, which still works perfectly after years of gigs and abuse. Purchased at a very competitive price from Scan, and sent out quickly and without any hitches.S Lee
It's a good pedal. I've been modding DS-1's for some time now, finally found a simple formula for taming the harshness, excessive distortion and almost unusable tone stack with only 5 or 6 component changes – but the stock Dyna Drive sounds better in almost every way. As others have noted, it's a bit lacking at the bottom end, but not enough to really bother me. It adds a nice, smooth layer of dirt on a clean amp without altering your basic tone, can get grind, but really shines at the lower drive settings. Stacked with the modded DS-1 and a Fulltone Fat Boost, I'm getting a lot of range out of a Tele on a budget. And, oh yeah, it's pretty quiet. Might get another.johnc115
I think some people turn their noses up at this pedal because it is digital and doesn't come from a trendy boutique company. My advice, as with any piece of equipment, is to try the PH-3 out and decide for yourself. This pedal is capable of producing everything from subtle phase shifting to wild spacey synth-like sounds and everything in between. If you are just looking for a good basic meat-and-potatos phaser, I'd go for an EXH Small Stone or script logo MXR Phase 90. If you want a pedal that will do those sounds (perhaps with a bit less warmth and richness) while covering a great deal more sonic territory, then the PH-3 is well worth the price. The Hardwire SP-7 is also a multi function digital modeling phaser. I would give the SP-7 a slight advantage over the PH-3 in terms of sound quality. It sounds a bit more natural and analog compared to the Boss. If you plan to stick more to vintage and traditional phaser tones, I'd go with the Hardwire. If you want access to more adventurous and progressive sounds, the Boss really is the way to go. By the way, I do hear a moderate volume drop in 4 Stage mode that I wish wasn't there. However, I don't hear it with any of the other modes.Tubehed

I’ve been playing a long time and I used to own the Roland Phase II, ‘70’s analogue pedal which, for me was the ultimate phase sound until I foolishly sold it when I took a break in the early 80’s!!. This pedal is very versatile but not quite as good sounding as the Red Witch moon phaser pedal I’d been using until it died very recently. Hopefully though it will turn out to be much more reliable than the Red Witch!! I’ve found the tone prints interesting to experiment with and I’m now using one of the prints beamed to the pedal as the main phaser sound at present..All in all a good pedal for the price I’d say…Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
This is my 2nd TC Electronics pedal. They work great. There is plenty of competition out there and these days most gear is actually quite good compared to what was available in the 70's. Some people swear off any digital FX but I am quite satisfied, Years ago I had a MXR Phase 90 and felt it was a one trick pony. With this you get a lot more flexibility and you really don't give anything up. Is it as good as let's say an Empress Phaser, I cant say for certain, My Empress Chorus is great so the Empress Phaser is probably just as good if not better but honestly, they are not in the same ball park in price or features but this does get high marks as an overachiever in the regular pedals segment by using the tone print app. The Tone Print app lets you "beam" presets to the pedal through your smart phone, dozens of sounds tailored by professional musicians are available to you on demand. There are settings for guitar and bass. In short this is a really great option for a flexible digital Phaser in the standard pedal price segment. It meets my needs and does not break the bank. What else can you ask for?mahlertm
Bought this mainly for re-creating the original 1970's stereo Mutron Bi-Phase sound for use with my Korg Kronos using a Fender Rhodes voicing. Comes pretty close using the stock Mutron tone print, without the original analog background noise, of course. I'm in process of tweeking the tone print to get closer. All in all, a good deal, given that a good used stereo Mutron now goes for $1500. Should have kept mine. I find that the Helix and the Hall of Fame Reverb are studio quality effects in a pedal format. I regularly run the Hall of Fame in my analog mixer's effects loop. Quality is more than adequate for live performance or even recording.Desert Rat

Reviews:
I've been looking for a phaser that has more controls than a simple speed/rate knob that I liked and could afford. I had a Mutron way back in the 70s that I sold in the 80s. I have never been able to find another I could afford so I settled for a 1 knob wonder because everyone thinks they are great. Unfortunately I didn't. The phase from the 1 knob wonder was way too drastic and created chaos in my tone. I got a gift card for GC recently and took a gamble on this phaser, but I'm glad I did. This pedal is fantastic. Very versatile, lots of adjustability, goes from subtle to over the top and everywhere in between, 2 different speeds can be set and switched between the two. I would highly recommend this phaser to anyone looking for more out of a phaser than just a rate or speed control.Robert K.
Overall: This pedal sounds great, it's nice having two chorus options. You can get lots of different sounds out of it. It's very clear sounding. I am satisfied with the sound. I also like the overall look of the pedal but i'm mixed on the lights on this thing.1. I do not like the green led. It is insanely bright. 2. I do like the led lights on the knobs, they're a nice blue color . You can turn them off but you won't because it is easier to see the knobs when the bright green led is lit. 3. Next to the sensitivity knob is an orange led that lights in response to playing speed.4. There are light green leds (normal brightness) that indicate which of the two chorus settings you are currently on and and one that blinks with the rate of the chorus setting you are currently on. Overall though, i like the pedal, i'm definitely keeping it. The sound is the most important thing and it sounds great. It's just a lot going on with the lights. All my other pedals just have a light indicate they're on. I may have to put tape over that green led.Paul
8. Mxr M279 Deep Phase Pedal
Product Details:
The mxr deep phase pedal delivers uniquely expressive vintage phaser tones with the impeccable build quality and tweakabiity that mxr is famous for. unique vintage voice. based on an iconic vintage circuit, the sound of the deep phase pedal is crystal clear with a pronounced swoosh, scooped midrange, and a dynamic, voice-like response to your attack. whether you are digging in for fat, fluid chords or gently evoking tranquil textured melodies, this pedal will adapt to your playing intensity. it plays very well with the low end of the spectrum, too, so it sounds incredible on bass. while the original suffered from a serious volume drop when engaged, the deep phase pedal has been carefully designed to match your level when you kick the switch. from smooth and subtle to turbulent and intense. with just two knobs and a switch, the deep phase pedal offers a wide range of phase tones, from subtle liquid shifting to thick, swirling turbulence. the speed knob adjusts the effect rate, while the fdbk knob adjusts the intensity and sharpness of the phase peaks. by default, the deep phase pedal runs on 4 phase shifter stages for a smooth effect. the mode ii switch doubles that to 8 stages for twice the number of peaks and a more animated texture. compact and reliably built. the mxr deep phase pedal comes in a road-ready mxr mini housing that will take up hardly any space on your pedalboard.

I got this for general use and to emulate one lead style from late 70s gospel group that I love. It nails it. Between the speed & feedback control, it can be slightly flavored or heavily phasing. The tone isn't too shrill, deep or nasal. Completely natural sound allowing the tone of your guitar to shine through with the effect.
Overall: Okay. Disclaimer time…I'm not the most objective person when it comes to MXR phasers since I already have the mid 80's 'Series 2000' Phaser, along with the Phase 95, Phase 100 and the incredible Custom Shop Vari-Phase 'X' model; the upgraded version with the toe-down on/off switch. Now having said this…I ordered this only days after zZounds had it in stock. I'd read that it was MXR's take on the EHX Small Stone Phaser. Having never used the Small Stone I had no point of reference but I quickly ordered it because I phind phasers, well, stunning. (Bad Star Trek pun there. Sorry.)It arrived quickly in typical zZounds fashion and I couldn't wait to try it out.First off, it is NOTHING like the Phase 90 which is perhaps the Greatest Phaser Ever. But…It's a marvelous little pedal with a great many sounds contained therein. The response is 'attack sensitive' meaning the harder you pick/strum……well, the first notes to come through will have a quicker sweep speed then it slows down. This is a new thing to me and I'm still adjusting to it. But I like it. On arpeggiated patterns it adds a nice effect that creates a, uh, sonic diversity. The speed control gives you sweeps which go from comfortably subtle to insanely fast, almost to the point of being unusable. If you're into scary sci-fi sounds then there's a lot here to work with in that vein. This pedal has a switch to toggle between four stage and eight stage phasing. (Personally I find the slower speeds to be better in the eight-stage setting.)What REALLY sets this phaser apart from MRX's other phasers is that it has knob to control the Feedback. (I think that is the amount of the signal that is fed back into the effect. The old "Script Logo" phasers had very little Feedback where the "Block Logo" version had an increased level of Feedback.) Whatever it is, I find I get better, more musical tones, when the Feedback isn't set too high – below 12:00.I was disappointed after my first time using this pedal and I resolved to return it as quickly as possible but something told me to play with it some more. The end result is that after having had this pedal for a few weeks, I find that it's a really nice addition to my phaser collection. If your only experience with phasers is the Phase 90 then you'll find this to be something like a weird flanger but if you play with it for a while then I honestly think that you'll grow to like it. (I've owned several flangers and sold off every one of them. They distort the base tone a bit too much for me which is why I almost gave up too soon on this pedal.)While it may not be to everyone's taste, I find myself definitely recommending it to guitarists looking for a different phlavor of phaser. My only criticism is that this is the first MXR 'Mini' pedal I've purchased that didn't come with the 9v power supply.Mark
A phaser was my first pedal when I was a kid playing guitar and growing up in the 80's. But, in today's tight pedalboard real estate, sadly the phaser dropped off for a few years. I ended up using a Line 6 M5 for several modulation effects and recently an HX Stomp. They do a fine job, but when I saw the YouTube video for the Deep Phase, I thought that I could squeeze it in. I tried it out and not only did it's compact size fit in, it sounds great! Keeping the Feedback knob all the way down, it really sounds and responds like a Phase 90, but turning it clockwise adds a ton of versatile sounds to what is already practically perfect. The mode button doubles the stages of phasing and thickens the tone even more. This can cover anything from classic rock to funk to metal or to just animate a clean sound to give it some breadth. I'm using it with a daisy chain power supply and it has very little noise. No complaints about this orange box. I'm going to get a lot of mileage out of this little guy. The metal case is slightly narrower than the TC mini pedals, but the power jack is on the top so a little taller with that plugged in. The jacks are staggered so if you have other mini pedals you can put em really close together. After one jam session I already put a strip of velcro on knowing that its going to stay on my pedalboard. My next venture will be to try it out on bass. I'll let you know.Gary

I love this pedal. It has both the script (think Van Halen 1) and block logo version of the pedal. The block version is more pronounced and the script version when run with clean tones is more subtle and tone enhancing. If you are looking to replicate the sound Eddie Van Halen had on Van Halen 1, this is the best choice: barring you having an original vintage model from the time period. But this is as close as you are going to get. I use it for cleans and some heavy lead tones. In fact, I love the pedal enough that I bought two in order to run it in stereo. I run two EVH 5150 III 50w heads, an EL34 & 6L6, with 2×12 cabs through an aby/c switcher and blend both amps together. For those not in the know, like compression and EQ phaser is a great tone enhancing secret weapon. I love having both versions in one box. The only thing missing, is the ability to blend the dry and wet signal or Midi. But sonically, like all MXR gear, it is great!

Its reputation speaks for itself. This pedal has been on the boards of various professionals, from Billy Corgan to David Gilmour to Tom Morello, and many many more. With just a single knob, you've got all that you need to get some beautiful movement to your playing. If you're looking for a solid phaser, there's really nowhere else worth going than the MXR Phase 90.CoopDbomb
In my search to get an ambient yet present phase sound I bought and sold / returned three "Uni Vibe" type pedals. All expensive, all glorious sounding but all too "over the top" for what I required. A fellow musician suggested the Script Logo Phase 90. And there it was, at about 1/3 to half the cost of the expensive boutique vibe pedals! I love this pedal because it adds just what I require: a lush analog phase effect, very controllable and built to 'take it'. MXR, IMO, is robust and their attention to detail is apparent in sound quality and design / build. I own or have owned pedals by JRAD, Fuller, Keeley and JHS and those brands are present on my pedal board, but right next to them is a Carbon Copy and now, this Script Phase 90. This pedal can take you into Gilmour / psychedelic rock arena without overpowering your sound. I chose the Script model over the "block letter" model because the Script sounded more pleasing across a wide band of frequencies, to me.Silvercrow
I'm very pleased with the way this pedal sounds, both with a 6-string electric guitar and with my P-Bass. Having used a BOSS PH-3 for a while, it just wasn't good enough to get those retro sounds, plus it actually dropped the volume a bit. This MXR unit actually has a slight increase in volume, which I prefer on bass. On guitar however, when it's in front of an overdriven amp, I like mixing the phase effect with some dry signal. I use a BOSS LS-2 (Line Switcher) on the A+B mix setting for that purpose. Some players don't like MXR pedals because the 9V power socket is on the side, rather than on the top. This is not an issue with the Pedaltrain type of pedal board design. Bottom line: Excellent quality, very durable at a great price.iknowashortcut

Reviews:
First off, I would like to say that I have literally owned and tried every single direct amp/cab sim option on the market, both in a studio situation and a live gig/touring situation that required nightly in ear monitor usage. My one and only quest was to get as close to my tube amps, that I dearly miss being able to use, as possible! I have ditched every single unit after one or two gigs for the same reasons; too digital in response, and they just don’t feel good during a gig (which makes the whole gig a struggle in some aspect), and don’t handle analog pedals well. My search has ended with the Strymon Iridium! I popped this little monster on my pedalboard and off to rehearsals, and sessions I went! I have been able to dial in almost exact responses of a gorgeous fender style clean, and a Marshall style lead tone, in seconds. I also have been able to do my beloved overdrive and fuzz stacking to my hearts content and this little black box handled it with ease and felt realistic while doing it! I will leave with this; if you have been struggling like I have to confirm to the direct trend and need an immediate solution to take you as close as you could possibly get to recreating those killer tube amp tones on a nightly basis, definitely cut your journey down by thousands of dollars and countless irritating hours by just going to purchase the Strymon Iridium first! Thanks Strymon for a tremendously useful, well thought out tool for the gigging musician!!!Ryan Ridgeway
I love this pedal. This is the best sounding amp sim on the market. I'm thinking about buying a second one to have a stereo set-up. The only downside is the power issues. Strangely enough you get a high frequency in the signal with both the adapter and a separate power supply. I even had a complete power lock down in my house, when plugging in the pedal. I just wish you could at least save one preset per amp. You can have two, if you set the control to one amp and save one preset with another amp. But that's it. Or you have to work with midi. But that's part of the concept of this pedal; hands-on and WYSIWYG. No one mentions there's a time lag when switching the pre-set on and off, so you cannot switch between amps mid song. I wonder if one could leave the IR empty, to use this pedal as a pre amp-only before a real amp. Have to try that one! I sometimes find the lay-out confusing; if the drive knob is somewhere around 2 o'clock, I tend to think I can use it to switch the amp type. Every time I use it I experience this two or three times.
A little perspective. I've been playing electric guitar for a little over 20 years. I've never had a good situation for loud tube amps so I've used modelers. The last few years I've used the latest and greatest Helix and Axe Fx offerings which are great in their own right. Endless options. You can get lost with chasing your favorite artist's tone. And I did. But in that process I started to become a tone chaser and not a guitar player. I obsessed over the tone and feel and played less and less. Enter the Iridium. Here's my experience: If you turn the knobs and adjust your tone using you ears not your eyes (what your eyes think a good setting looks like) you will easily find exceptional, inspiring tone. No need for menu diving. No need for settling with a tone that's 95% what you want. If you give it a chance this little box can get your musicianship back. There are wannabe recording engineers out there and for such folks I say go get an axe FX. If you want to grab your guitar and make music from jazz to acdc, the Iridium will get you there. This simple little box has breathed new life into my playing and it can for you too. Highly recommended.

Been using effect pedals for nearly 35 years now. I've always been a fan of Phasers, and owned quite a few over the years. Now, this one is probably the last I needed to buy. Perfect for every need, great sounding. Easy to dial in good tones in virtually every setting. And it's more then just a double Phaser; you can easily dial in some great Flanger, Chorus and even autowah sounds. I use this in conjunction with the Multiswitch Plus wich allows me to store 3 Presets. This thing is built like a tank and has silent switching. Highly recommendable 😉

13. Modtone Mt-Ph Atomic Phaser Pedal
Product Details:
This is a mint condition (with maybe a little residue from velcro strips on the bottom) modtone atomic phaser, model mt-ph. true-bypass for the best signal quality. it has linear taper pots, high impact switches and top quality jacks. a simple 2-knob setup is all you need for a classic sweeping hypnotic effect. the "depth" knob lets you decide how deep you want the effect to go and the "rate" knob determines how fast you want to get there. when used together, these two knobs take you from a subtle phase all the way into outer space (sonically speaking, that is [for actual transportation to outer space, please contact elon]. this comes with the original box and all of the associated "case candy". if you don't already have a phaser on your board, you should get this. if you do, you should also get this, just in case the one you already have takes a dump on you.

These Mod Tone pedals are great for the musician on a budget. This phaser pedal has very little noticable tone loss, unlike a lot of other phasers. All phasers have at least a little drop in tone and/or volume, it's just the nature of the effect. I mostly use a strat, and a tube combo amp. You can really dial in a usable tone with just two knobs. The rate goes from a 100ms flutter to a long 6 second sweep. You can dial it in to be in your face or, like me, as a subtle compliment. Compact design, sturdy metal casing, good switch. A/B'd next to either a phase 90 or small stone, this holds its own. Brighter though, so keep that in mind. I like the brightness, others may not.octoberman74
14. Rocktron Reaction Phaser Guitar Pedal
Product Details:
The rocktron reaction phaser pedal. set your phasers for stun, gang! rocktron brings you the reaction phaser, a classic phaser pedal that will add a great effect to your arsenal. the reaction phaser is very easy to use. just set the speed control and off you go. the speed knob controls the speed of the modulation waveform. simple! the reaction phaser has true-bypass, when the pedal is off, it is out of the signal path. a phaser is one of those effects that does not have a stringent placement within the signal chain. some players love it first in the chain, while others like it after the distortion. some even love it at the end of the chain. placing the reaction phaser first in the chain in front of your distortion or directly into your amp will produce a grainy, gritty effect that adds excitement to your playing. conversely, if placed after your distortion pedal, or within the effects loop of an amp, it will produce a smoother effect. experiment and find what works best for you. you ain't talkin' about phasers unless your talking about the reaction phaser! it's that classic phaser sound with true bypass to boot.

Solid metal construction, heavier than Boss pedal. Good phasing sound, only goes in to crazy territory once dial is nearly all the way round. My only gripe would be the LED's showing the activation point horizontally away from you, rather than up at you. Easy battery access via two thumb screws on top (and there were two spare screws included with the pedal inside the box).chamber_of_slunks
15. Tone City Summer Orange Phaser Pedal
Product Details:
Bought this because i don't use phaser very often and it has a small footprint. thinking about picking up a better one now because i was finding new uses for the phaser all the time. the led on the rate knob is super bright and handy. controls stay where they are put. tone city makes great affordable pedals.

Great! Again, excellent sound for a pedal this size and price. My only comment is that when you turn up the feedback over 50% it gets really annoying and don't capture the actual note you are playing. Feedback at 30%, depth 75% and any rate between 30% and 75% works really well.Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.

17. Mxr Csp101sl Script Phase 90 Pedal With Led, Orange
Product Details:
I have modified this pedal further by drilling a hole so the internal switch can now be accessed (i made a cap to fit) giving you the option of both script and block phaser sounds just like the evh signature phase 90. the difference is subtle, but i find the block mode (button out) has more cut which helps humbuckers cut through, whereas the script mode (button in) is warmer and smoother which i really like with single coil pickups. sounds great like a phase 90 should! my favourite phaser, but i have 3 of them so i m letting this one go! good condition with a few cosmetic marks from use but missing two bottom plate screws. works perfectly. no box or papers.

18. Tc Electronic Mini Spark Booster Guitar Pedal
Product Details:
A tiny pedal with a loud bark, the tc electronic spark mini booster can provide up to 20db of clean boosted power. whether you want to kick it on periodically for some extra punch or leave it on all the time as a tone booster the spark mini can prove useful in many playing situations regardless of genre. because of its diminutive footprint the spark mini can be easily placed in any open space on your board. if you want to add more gain to your sound put the spark mini at the beginning of your signal chain to drive your pedals and amp harder. some guitarists have an always on boost in this configuration to impart some grit on their tone. if you want to just boost your overall volume stick the spark mini at the end of your signal chain either after all of your pedals or in your amp's effects loop. should you for whatever reason want to disengage the spark mini the true bypass switching ensures that the circuitry in the pedal won't affect your tone while disengaged.

I wanted a button to make me louder for solos etc. and this does exactly that without changing tone. Brilliantly simple: set how much volume jump you want and that’s it, I don’t think I have had the dial past 25% so far. The ‘latching’ function of the foot switch is a great idea. Great price as wellReviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Initially intended to buy an Xotic EP Booster because I wanted to try the Echoplex thing out, but saw this little guy and figured…why not? I like it so much, I don't see the point in ordering the EP Booster anymore! Hits the front end of my Soldano in a way no overdrive has yet, and with no noise. Works equally well in front of my OCD pedal for a lead boost. And to all the people whining about the switch not clicking…whatever. I like that about the TC stuff and wish all pedal companies would make their switches "clickless". Great value, just buy it already! Thanks TC and Sweetwater!
This pedal does exactly what it claims and does it better than other pedals of the same purpose. It is constructed extremely well. For around $50 this pedal's physical casing and switch assembly is made better than pedals I own costing hundreds of dollars more. I don't foresee this pedal ever needing replacement or repair. I'm not particularly fond of the "momentary volume boost" feature but that doesn't change my overall opinion. It's a great item.ethan1957
