Reviews:
I doubt anyone can hear the difference between a Mogami Platinum and a much cheaper cable – I certainly can't – but that's not what makes them great. Components & build quality make these cables the best and long-lasting I've ever had. If they weren't so $$$ I'd buy one for every instrument.Allan
Excellent cable, a definite step up from the gold series. It says right on the box, Warning this cable has more dynamic range than any other cable available! Gain and tone controls may need to be lowered, or adjusted accordingly. I couldn't have said it better myself. These are the best cables I've ever tried, listened to, or owned. Hands down, the most neutral and dynamic. I think that says it all.
Amazing cable ! I gravitate to simple PTP handwired amps without tone stacks. My favorites include an old setup of an Eric Johnson strat – George L into a 5F1 champ; currently have a Dr Z. Mini Z combo (Celestion Gold) and a historic Les Paul Jr that has a Wolfetone Meaner and Pigtail tailpiece all wired 50s style. These two setups reveal not only the guitar but the nuances of a cable and various NOS tubes as well. I've played through George Ls, Lava Ultramafic, ELC, Klotz, Rapco, Mogami Gold and Spectraflex; I hear the differences in all. I was hesitant to get this and am glad I did. My RCA preamp tube really shines now. It's a cable so there aren't any power boosts or EQ jumps going but it is very revealing. Some low capacitance cables sound thin – this somehow has the clarity AND the depth; it's just better and also flexible which I didn't think it would be given its diameter. Best cable I've ever used by a mile – period.PScot

I was getting a lot of noise from my tube amp when trying to mic it up to record. Thought it was from my gain pedals / pedal board power supply. But this cord cleaned up 95% of the noise I was hearing — turns out my old instrument cable that was "noise free" may have just been overused to the point that it was break down or something. But world of difference. Highly recommend.Yourfriendalec

The quality internal components help to minimise any tone, sound quality being lost through them especially in a rig with an isolated power supply to your effects chain. Reviews:
I bought this cable around 6 months ago along with my Boss Katana amp. I was new to cables at the time because I learned most of my playing on an acoustic (which don't mean I'm a beginner which most people tend to believe about acoustic players) and I dindn't know which one to buy, so I asked an experienced player what he used and he recommended me to the livewire cables. At first I was kind of worried that they weren't good because of the cheaper price compared to what I had seen but bought one anyways. First I plugged in the cable set up my gear and played a couple licks and was very impressed. I used it for a week or two and tried a different cable. I plugged in the new cable and was very astounded to hear how awful it sounded. I tried another one (Monster Cable) and it sounded way better but still not as good as the livewire. I was very disapointed and went back to my livewire and then I truly knew how good the cable actually was. I've used that cable ever since and I now buy them and have recommended them to my friends, family, and other players and wouldn't trade them for another.Logan
Make sure to either own one or two high quality cables, or have a backup as well as a backup for your backup and so on. I purchased one of the 25ft. angled-straight cables about 5 years ago and have had to have it replaced every 6 months to 1 year. I don't abuse my cables in fact I go out of my way to make sure they are treated as well as my guitar. Simply put they are assembled poorly. One end always seems to go bad. I do return them and have them replaced because why not take advantage of the warranty. However I have wised up and purchase quality cables now. I would never take one of these to a gig. I gave it 2 stars. 1 for the fact that it does make a connection and relay sound to my amp and the 2nd star because the warranty results in a "no questions asked" replacement. Even the employee who helped me during my first return/replacement suggested I spend more and purchase a higher quality cable.Johnny Carcinogen
Bought this cable with starter guitar and amp for 9 year old son. This cable lasted 3 months. Was thinking i could fix it, I have fixed many cables before. After inspecting this one, it's not worth mending. Poor quality, very flimsy. Going in the trash. Was noticing a slight static noise on my sons rig, thought maybe it was the cheap amp or the power supply. Got a different cable and noise is gone. There are better cables for the price or spend a little more for much better cables.Pete

Reviews:
I have purchased several, more than two multi-packs (4) cables at a time. They are ok for a musician on a budget, maybe. If you can solder, even these are not good because of a sealed flex plug at the opening of the jack. I now use only the cable section with aftermarket jacks I soldered myself. I have purchased enough of these to know I wont purchase anymore, yet I have a nice collection of home made cables using the original cables from these units, In short, the jacks are not good.David
I would bet you're thinking the same thing I did: "Seven bucks for a twenty foot cable? Awesome!"Learn from the mistakes of others by passing this by.I bought this cable because my current cable is only 15 feet long, and I didn't want to shell out big bucks for some 'studio' cable. Besides, how do you screw up a cable? Buy this, and you will find out.Sure, it will pass a signal, but the tips will quickly wear. You know how your cable gets when it is almost dead? How you have to jiggle it around to make sound, usually caused by a long period of wear and tear? Well this cable didn't want to wait and only gave me about a month. This is with proper winding and storage! The WORST part of this cable is the NOISE. You CANNOT move if you are using this cable. When you slap this baby on the floor, the crap noise that comes from your amp is louder than the signal it passes. This is the reason I stopped using it. If you jump, bob, duck, thrash, walk, run, or even tap your toe while you play guitar, this cable will move and you will hear everything that is going on inside of it.UNACCEPTABLE NOISE!!She's_Got_The..
I've used these for about 10 years & they are really used! I've never had a problem with any of them & often gave any extra I had to fellow musicians. I still have 3 of them that are at least 7 years old & they're fine. I'm ordering another soon just for another spare. I don't see how a musician could go wrong at the price & quality.picker49

Good quality cable but super stiff. I have never been a fan of braided cables but I know EB cables are good quality so I thought I would try it. It just isn't flexible and gets hooked on stuff unlike a non braided type cable. I liked the bright color…maybe with use it will loosen up a bit.Dale

Reviews:
Listen if your just starting out or a seasoned player…if you know this is something you’re going to do the rest of your life just save yourself the money and trouble by throwing money away…truly amazing. If we spend 3,4, 7 thousand on a guitar and 1-2 thousand on a 5w amp why wouldn’t you spend a few dollars on something that’s almost as integral as your guitars pickups. It’ll be the last cable you buy and if it ever gives you trouble even 10 years from now just exchange it for a new one. You feel and hear the difference immediately and can’t even understand how you played without it beforeNico
Perfect note separation, especially when playing technical metal through high gain, can hear every note clearly. Sounds even better than the mogami platinum I've been using for the last couple years. My only regret is buying the 12' instead of the 20'. Will likely purchase a the 20' if there's ever a sale. Best sounding but most expensive cable I've used so far.

Reviews:
I've had two of these for an entire year. I am an active musician, writing and recording music all the time. The sound from these two cables are still crystal clear just like they were when I bought them and have never found a better instrument cable. I LOVE these and am buying my 3rd cable right now. I loved them so much that when I needed a mic cable I bought a dimarzio. Bad choice, they don't make good mic cables, but you can never go wrong with a dimarzio instrument cable. For long distances, I just get an adapter and connect 2 Dimarzio cables together so I can record in different rooms. I may be only 16. But I've been working with cable for 6 years. These are fantastic. They don't go bad. I may not be suprised if these guys last a lifetime. I don't think I will EVER have to replace a broken instrument cable ever again. GREAT BUY.Parkerthemusicman
i bought military green 21' on a whim and loved it. wasn't sure how a dimarzio cable would sound and almost went for Monster or something else. peavey t-60 —> Marshall reverb 12 sounded better than before with bad fender cables. quiet, and sturdy. when i bought pedals, i got dimarzio couplers and a 10' dimarzio black and silver cable, so now im dimario cables all the way.tough outer sheathing makes them hard to coil and uncoil, resulting in kinks just like in a garden hose. just be careful, its a small price to pay for such a tank of a cable.price is reasonable, im sure you could spend much more on a comparable cable, and i will still try George Ls when i can afford them. for now these are the best.VDQ
Extremely high quality cables with very low capacitance. These are very flexible, well shielded & the are made with USA Switchcraft plugs ( the best). I have had used these for years, and they really are tough & extremely reliable. You could spend more for other Brands that are not this good; a great value.lightworks25

Reviews:
Good buy, a great step up from the "cheap" cables that too many new players start with. Do yourself a favor… dont think twice… just buy a quality cable. Buying an expensive cable way back when was one of the best gear purchases I ever made. I always tend to hear nuance and feel that others dont, and I believe the good cable I bought long ago (see above) had a lot to do with it. I can instantly hear a setup with cheap cables, others I know dont know any difference cause thats all theyve every used. Dont short change yourself…dont skimp on a good cable!! The cloth coating and flexibility are nice, as are the top notch jacks Seems very well made. Sound quality was less than I expected but still not bad. I bought based on the cable shootout in Guitar Player. It sounds better than your run of the mill cheap junk …WAY better. But it does have a character. To my ear its on the bright end of the spectrum, maybe a tad harsh even. I wouldnt describe it as warm at all. It would be great for an overly warm guitar. With my LP and Music Man Axis through various tube amps, it is chimey. GP described it as "very musical", and rated high for "shimmer" if I remember right… I would agree. Ive been playing the same Pro Co Cable (Excalibur…no longer made) for over 20 years, that I bought from MF. It was expensive at the time (50 or 60 bucks), and the Vox is'nt as musical as the Pro Co. I used to think the term "bloom" for a cable was a joke.. but thats the only way to describe the difference. The Pro Co is fuller, more nuanced and "bloomier". This isnt a slant on the Vox, its a good sounding cable and not a bad buy at all. Perhaps comparing a brand new cable to a 20 year old cable with thousands of hours on it is unfair. ? Maybe after some time and break in (which I also question even happens with cables) the sound could change and warm up a bit. If your curious the cable on my Pro Co is labled "music mover". Maybe they still sell this cable under different model names. Good cable for the moneyTPalmer
I love this cable! The feel of the cable is smooth and luxurious. It tends not to get tangled as easily as others I have. The "vox" end plug plugs in very smoothly to all my amps and processors I use and plus just looks cool. I have noticed that it is extrememly quiet and has a great tone to it. I did my research before purchasing this cable. I read reviews on it and in specific I saw an article reviewing many, many cables where the vox had very high marks in low noise and vibe parameters. It got high marks in shimmer, girth and punch. Now, for the price I didn't find another cable listed that performed as well as this one. Of course if you want to pay for it you can find them. Overall, this cable performs well and I am looking forward to see it's performance in recording situations which was my purpose for it's purchase. I think when you consider the data, this is a no brainer..mcfulford
I just received my Vox guitar cable and it is top notch! The cable is fabric coated, so it does not get twisted and tangled as bad as a rubber one. Vox logos on both ends with gold connectors. The only guitars I could think of having issues with, would be Strat types. The connector housings are kind of wide, and my not fit well into the narrow recessed Strat style input jack. The cable fits nice and tight with both my Vox AC30 and Gretsch Country Gentleman.Sailor Ripley

Reviews:
Overall a decent cable, I like the bold colours of these Fender cables and the overall build quality is decent for a home studio, practicing or light gigging. Although if you were to go on the road with them and use them exclusively from your guitar to your rig you'd have to be cautious as I can see them getting damaged over time compared to some of the thicker, robust cables out there.Danny C.
The cable I originally got with my guitar was not up to scratch, it was very thin & flimsy & soon came apart at the jack end. My new cable is much thicker, flexible & robust! The fittings are very good & I am super pleased with my purchase. Well worth the top rating I award it!hstr6477

Reviews:
It works well and seems like it's pretty durable, I'll probably buy more for an effects loop. The sound seems smoother than a musicians gear cable I was using before, less harsh high end frequencies but it's not an insane difference. An audience would probably not be able to tell a difference.Children of the corn
