I have used two gallons and probably will avoid using it. Positive was working time was longer. Negatives were the failure of the glued joints on several different projects. The day after I glued some restaurant tables up the walnut joints came apart while making passes through my large Woodmaster drum sander. Same gluing procedure for Titebond II that was fine. ?Charles

My friends and I are doing several large outdoor woodworking projects so needed good waterproof glue, and a lot of it. Out of my normal hardware stores, Rockler was the only place that had Titebond III in the gallon container. Buying by the gallon saves over half compared to buying the smaller containers. We tested the waterproofness of Titebond III in side by side comparisons with Titebond I by poring a little in some open containers then adding water to see how if they would mix, and then by gluing up some wood scrapes and letting them soak in water. In both cases the Titebond III held up to the water flawlessly. After a month Titebond III is holding the outdoor projects together with no sign of weakness or problems. The only issue was when the dog somehow got some glue on his rear end fur and we had to explain it to my wife. The glue held up well to the hot water, soap and scrubbing in the dog bath. We did not try paint thinner or any other chemicals. The dog did not care but the wife did so I had to endure some good natured ribbing until it wore off after a month or so.Steve

I bought this for an experiment: Glue soles back onto athletic shoes. I've previously tried every flexible-when-cured adhesive known to man. No Luck. (Believe it or not- Cheap hot glue was the best- until this came along.) I don't know why I didn't think of polyurethane adhesive earlier. This polyurethane adhesive worked very well on the shoes. I was surprised. About twenty-four hours after application (with a 2 hour clamp time), I flexed the shoe like crazy. Next I tried tearing the sole off. After that, I soaked the joint in water. It held up just fine. When it's well below zero degrees, I will be interested to see how well the glue holds. Note that the bubbled out adhesive where I over-applied was easy to scrape off. The glue holds great. The only thing I find odd is that it foams out around the glue joint requiring careful removal after it sets. Going forward I intend to apply masking tape adjacent to the glued seam and hope that makes it easier to clean up. I had to use a sharp chisel to clean off the glue and it is very hard not to remove part of the surface. I'll also use less glue. It was only after I used it that I saw a video where they showed to only use one drop per square inch. The writing is simply too small to see if that was in the instructions. With one of the projects I needed to make a very strong Oak laminate block. 4" X 4" X 6". Each lamanite piece was 1/2" thick. When I was done the end result was a very strong block used to support a railing newal post. It worked perfectly.Charlie

The product is fine. The 3 stars is for an issue with the use of the product. I was a little discouraged that after following the directions “shake well and tap the cap”, once I opened the cap about half the contents came oozing out leaving me with a bunch of wasted glue. I recognized afterward that we live at a higher elevation (>5000ft) than normal and the pressure in the bottle most likely needed to equalize. SO! If you are getting this shipped to you and you live at higher than typical elevations, DO NOT follow the directions. First, unscrew the cap in order to equalize the pressure. Mysteriously, this product completely ruined four of my paintings and my dining room table. I had painted glass from an 8×10 frame and needed to glue the glass into the frame. For every one (I did 4) the glass fogged up all around where it had been glued. It looks like cloudy water or soap build up. This same "build up" somehow eeked onto my dining room table (there was definitely no dripping of glue – I had done the gluing on a mat then moved the project to the table to set completely). So it was like the fumes from the glue ruined the table? Same thing happened to one of the picture frames as well. As a woodturner I have used Titebond medium, thin and thick CA glue for a number of years to fill cracks that show up in bowl blanks as the wood is turned away. It's not a perfect solution but it's as good as anything else I have tried and a lot quicker. This is the glue i have been looking for a long time without knowing it. I use it mostly to make jigs of wood and metal. It has very strong bond and you dont need much, and it has the settling time as promised on the bottle. I’ve was given the Scotch Super Glue With Precision Applicator in exchange for an honest review. I tried it out on a metal clock and, several hours later, on a ceramic bowl. Both materials bonded instantly and held well. It worked exactly as advertised. The applicator shape allowed for a thin stream of glue without glops. There was no sealing over between uses, despite my not storing it upright as directed. It’s a good product. Only minor drawback is in the packaging, which is wider on top than at the base, making it easy to tip over. Directions are not printed on the bottle itself, only on the packaging. If you put the glue away for months, you might not remember that you’re supposed to store it upright and wipe off the tip between uses. I was sent this product to try. It came at a perfect time, as I had made an oven clay jewelry piece that I covered in rhinestones. The adhesive I used, some of the stones came off quickly. So, I decided to try this super glue gel. It went exactly where I needed it to go, and stayed there until I placed the stones on it. The stones did not shift as they would have done with regular super glue, and the glue did not spread out over the item before I could get the stones on. The best part of all was, although it has the expected super glue odor, it isn't a strong odor and dissipated quickly as the glue dried. The result was stones firmly attached to my piece and no residual odor that will take time to dissipate. I've used super glue for so many years, for repairing broken items and also for repairing broken nails. I had been using another brand and thought it was fine until I rediscovered this Krazy Glue. First of all, the brush-on method is a lot better than the silly dispensers on other brands of super glue – they always get clogged and you end throwing away half a tube. Krazy Glue brushes on easily and you can control how much product you apply. Holds well after dry. As for nail repair, it's the best! It seems as if I have the hardest time getting the product to come out of the tube, and then once I do it ends up getting all over my hands and coating them with dried guck. It's a bit hard to get enough product onto the thing I'm trying to fix, and even when I tried the brush version it ended up drying out very soon after I opened the package. Better then the genuine article, a lot of super glues just don't do what they advertise for some reason (except glue your fingers-they do manage to do that). I had a broken rubber foot on an old Zenith turntable that couldn't be replaced with a new one, so I glued the foot back together with this, and much to my surprise it was as strong of a bond as I've ever seen on a soft material like rubber. I use it in my model making to hold LEDs into position in the belly of spaceships, etc. and it works great. It holds solid in just a few seconds and takes a few hours to completely cure, but nothing moves once it's set. Also, the bottle can sit with the cap on for months and you can come back to it and it will be just like new. No frozen cap, no crusty nozzle, no gimmicks. It just works and you can use a lot of the bottle. In fact, I have yet to finish my first one and after a year, it's still just like new. I will buy again.Marvin W.

I used your glue to create an aquascape. This is a newer approach to creating a habitat in a marine reef aquarium. Previously, the norm was to arrange rocks to create caves and overhangs, but it was basically a pile of rocks. In recent years, hobbyists started breaking up rocks and using mortar or epoxies to create interesting shapes. I discovered a YouTube that demonstrated using thin super glue. First break rocks into smaller pieces. Smash small rubble to a powder. Join 2 pieces, sprinkle powder into joint, apply thin glue….. Resulting in one solid piece. The resulting structures imitate real reef shapes (see photos) I would suggest your viewing YouTube “BRS Aquascape” and also contacting Bulk Reef Supply. They would be a great outlet for your product. I've only had this product for a few small jobs. It's so far saved my butt well over a dozen times already which makes it well worth it to me. My friends and I are doing several large outdoor woodworking projects so needed good waterproof glue, and a lot of it. Out of my normal hardware stores, Rockler was the only place that had Titebond III in the gallon container. Buying by the gallon saves over half compared to buying the smaller containers. We tested the waterproofness of Titebond III in side by side comparisons with Titebond I by poring a little in some open containers then adding water to see how if they would mix, and then by gluing up some wood scrapes and letting them soak in water. In both cases the Titebond III held up to the water flawlessly. After a month Titebond III is holding the outdoor projects together with no sign of weakness or problems. The only issue was when the dog somehow got some glue on his rear end fur and we had to explain it to my wife. The glue held up well to the hot water, soap and scrubbing in the dog bath. We did not try paint thinner or any other chemicals. The dog did not care but the wife did so I had to endure some good natured ribbing until it wore off after a month or so.Steve

After reading all the reviews about which glue to use for laminating up a custom skateboard deck, this consistently came out as the best. Working time was tight as I had numerous lengths to glue together before clamping but the effort was worth it. Dont be afraid to use plenty on your pieces to ensure a good bond. This is my first time using TB3 and quickly realised that more squeeze out is better than none as a good indicator of even spread. I was happy with Titebond I & II. Both are great products. My daughter wanted me to make some butcher block counter tops for her kitchen and bathroom. The wood pieces are 3/4" X 1 3/4" nice thick counter tops. I figured I better use the Titebond III. It is for exterior and is water proof. I was very happy with the spread ability and the amount of open time I had. I used the Rockler roller glue bottle and it went smooth and fast. I wiped all the surfaces with acetone before I glued. It was a lot of exotic wood. Black palm, Zebra, Purple heart, walnut, Maple, Oak and Cherry. The tops are beautiful. She loves them. LCLC

Obviously there are much cheeper items on the market but this is a "specific". I purchased this to repair my expensive end grain chopping board onto which I had put a leaking hot water heater, I didn't know it was going to leak I hasten to add !! Anyway I needed this type of glue to repair the cracks that had appeared as it is graded as "food safe" Board dried, cracks cleaned out and glue carefully inserted into the cracks, clamps tightened and left for 48 hours (my choice). Now sanded and oiled I have a perfect chopping board back again. The glue can of course be used for any wood.dav12d

The product is fine. The 3 stars is for an issue with the use of the product. I was a little discouraged that after following the directions “shake well and tap the cap”, once I opened the cap about half the contents came oozing out leaving me with a bunch of wasted glue. I recognized afterward that we live at a higher elevation (>5000ft) than normal and the pressure in the bottle most likely needed to equalize. SO! If you are getting this shipped to you and you live at higher than typical elevations, DO NOT follow the directions. First, unscrew the cap in order to equalize the pressure. Mysteriously, this product completely ruined four of my paintings and my dining room table. I had painted glass from an 8×10 frame and needed to glue the glass into the frame. For every one (I did 4) the glass fogged up all around where it had been glued. It looks like cloudy water or soap build up. This same "build up" somehow eeked onto my dining room table (there was definitely no dripping of glue – I had done the gluing on a mat then moved the project to the table to set completely). So it was like the fumes from the glue ruined the table? Same thing happened to one of the picture frames as well. When I try wiping it off, it disappears then reappears just as bad a few minutes later. I've used gorilla products before and have been happy, so I'm completely shocked and baffled by this. And extremely sad as it totally ruined four paintings I was planning to sell.Haddi

I recently got this super glue to fix a couple of things, and I ended up fixing so many different things made of different materials, this glue dries super quickly, and it dries clear, I fixed a seam of a black handbag, and it looks just like new, the nozzle assembly is quick and easy, the nozzle allows a perfect application, it doesn't drip all over the place, it's very easy to control and apply small dots of glue, a tiny bit does a perfect job, I glued so many things and unlike other super glues not once this glue got onto my fingers. I have a metal very tall sunflower I place in my garden every year. It was given to me by my mother before she died so it has a lot of sentimental value. It broke. The stem came apart from the flower. I took it to a shop that does welding and they assumed me it was fixed,. The first windy day proved it was not. So I figured what do I have to loose, I will try to glue it. I used the Loctite Gel Tube Super Glue. And it worked!
