Reviews:
I'm a collector and player of the unique and unusual of the big brand and some off brand stuff. Never been a huge Gibby fan, even though in a classic rock guy. The flying v crescent moon is wonderful though, and has a vibe and feel all its own. When you think that legends from Hendrix to king played them, and had a style all they're own, the V just has its own place in the guitar world. I swapped the hot ceramic Gibby pups for some Seymour Duncan's with chrome covers, as I wanted a more dressed look and blues warmth from this lightweight but oh so solid beast. I did the graphitec saddles as well, again for a warm vibe. The result is amazing, period. I'll put her against anything from anybody in tone, weight, style, playability and feel. Even before the mods, still best of the best. All welds perfect, fret work perfect, finish accomplished the look of a vintage road warrior. Nickle hardware, true Ebony fretboard, feels like one gorgeous piece of mahogany in your arms as the neck and body are so perfectly set together.golfn64
This guitar sounds so good, it's hard to say if it's the wood or pickups. Who cares? It sounds good. Good tone and sustain. I look forward to playing it. Tuning is easy, playing it is comfortable. It has the original good looks that the Flying V was made with. I have heard people with Gibsons say that they with the knobs were like on my V. They also liked the placement of the jack. Which, I want to say, are 2 solid reasons I wanted this guitar. The Through-the=body stop and the jack at the end of the wing tip. Very nice.David
Gibson Flying V. Antique natural. Low action and great playability from factory. Awesome fretboard even though multiple tool marks around fret ends. Good access. Pickups sound good clean and can get hot enough for metal with a boost. Nice grain in wood. Couple small sand marks under nitro. Neck feels great. Giving it 4 stars for cosmetic issues but played so well did not send it back or even pursue price reduction. Case is very nice. AMS great as always. Killer payment plans and fast shipping.Todd

Reviews:
I am thoroughly disappointed in the quality of the paint job on this guitar. The finish looks and feels like it wasn't sanded smooth, and the paint job is cheesy. You can see the un-smoothness of the wood. Also, the pick-guard has a bunch of scratches, and a couple of spots where it's damaged and white shows through the black finish of the pick guard. $1,499 plus tax and shipping for an instrument that is damaged and has a worse fit and finish than my $199 Epiphone SG. The pick guard protective plastic had been removed, which, along with the scratches/damage, tells me this was used and returned, and sold again to me as new. I complained and they've offered me a $120 refund. Not happy with my first and last experience with American Musical Supply.
Great comfortable weight and excellent sustain. I'd prefer a hotter set of pickups such as the 500t or Dirty Fingers but the 490 set will suit the majority of rock players just fine. That is a subjective matter regarding pickups. It comes with a super nice case and my example has no flaws whatsoever. I'd suggest applying some conditioner to the fretboard early on as it seems most newer fretboards are on the dry side- regardless of brand. No sharp fret ends are present here. I really like the simple control layout. I've had it well over a month so I'm well out of honeymoon stage. This one is so good that I do not see the benefit of buying the next one up for a $300 upcharge, that is unless you simply don't like the green.
This is my first Gibson. I have a bunch of Fender strats and a few Ibanez guitars that I love, but the sound from this guitar is so nice. Really nice clean sounds and amazing crunch. The setup on the guitar was perfect out of the box. The guitar isn't heavy and feels comfortable to play standing or sitting. It doesn't feel bottom heavy like a few Les Pauls I have tried in the past. I really like the olive drab color. Makes this guitar really stand out in my collection.Kris A.

Reviews:
The build quality on this V amazed me, having never owned an Epiphone guitar before – only real Gibsons! The guitar is Indonesian made, with a real ebony wood fingerboard – far better than any Gibson Richlite fingerboard, which is basically made from paper, cardboard and resin, then compressed. All the 7 ply body, 5 ply headstock, and single ply neck binding was superbly jointed with no gaps, and the paint finish is excellent. All in all a superbly made instrument for the money and as good as any Gibson, in my opinion, far better than Gibson has it has a real Ebony fingerboard!!!!!!Reviewed by Andertons Music Co.
Guitar is superb. On par with my Gibbo V but I really like the quality and sound of the pick ups in this Epiphone. Their are some areas where the finish is not great for the price. I have locked down the trem with a trem no as I want to get used to it first. I do not use a trem at all so wanted a bit more sustain. I think it should be cheaper but I am impressed with the overall V.Reviewed by guitarguitar custome
Sounds like it looks – just as it should be!Reviewed by guitarguitar custome
5. Epiphone Brent Hinds Flying V Custom Limited Edition – Silverburst
Product Details:
I've had this brent hinds v for a few weeks now (bought used) and i'm not really clicking with it (it's about as heavy as a les paul, so not a light guitar) so i thought it should go to someone who'd appreciate it. everything is stock as well. there are a few dings to mention, the most noticeable being the finish crack at the base of the neck, which i've been told is common on flying v's. then, there are the 2 dings on the neck that you can't actually feel when playing so it's mostly cosmetic (i didn't ask the previous owner how they got there, stuff happens). you can't see in the pictures but the pickguard has a bit of scratching, and the pickups have a light stain that i didn't feel comfortable trying to sand off, but i polished and cleaned them. the frets could use some polishing as well but they're fine and not sharp anywhere. i like to be honest about what i'm selling! i'll send pictures of the packing process (no case, sadly). feel free to ask questions!

Reviews:
This ax is all about how it looks. And it looks great. A stage guitar all the way. Its a custom so it has nice binding on the edges and the headstock is all inlayed as well as the neck. And its light that's a big reason why I bought it. Seems about half of my friends Les Paul's weight. Better balanced, too. Neck feels great, nice action. But I never play it because the pickups suck. They have one tone-mudd. My Mexican Strat sound 100% better and so I play the Fender 100% of the time. Its an easy fix. Just got to install better pickups. When I do this guitar will be awsomenewfreshair19664
I love Epiphone guitars but this one is the best I have ever played. The best action it practically plays itself.conductorman56

If you want flame maple, intricate abalone inlays, birds and other types of 'bling' etc, then don't look here. This is a guitar that has had the money spent on the essentials, i.e. good tone-woods, classic pickups and reliable hardware. In my opinion, there is still a lot be said for made in USA Gibsons (& Fenders) that will stand the test of time, can improve with age and become antiques in their own right.rpettit_55
I can't keep my hands off it. I even added chrome covers so it would look cool and it does. I got a great deal on the condition 1. It was awesome. I like how the back of it doesn't have gloss only the front so you can slide down the neck with ease. I looked at these for awhile and all of them have a glossy back neck which I hate. On a les paul, the gloss neck is ok because of it's cool shape and most come with that. This guitar is versatile and gives you the les paul punch and the bluesy start all in one. BUY IT! You won't be sorry, i'm not.doubledown
I really like this guitar, it plays great and sounds great. I like the push-pull pots that give you a lot of different tonal options. The only complaint that I have is that it appears the guitar was built by an inexperienced luthier. There are a few finish flaws visible upon very close inspection by a perfectionist like me. But it is a killer guitar other than a few details. I love it, and every time I jam it, I am left grinning like a mule eating sawbriars. It screams like a gutshot comanchee!!!!Steve
8. Gibson 2016 Flying V Pro T Electric Guitar Wine Red
Product Details:
Gibson flying v 2016 t in very good condition. great playing and sounding instrument. i bought this guitar because of the easy access to the upper frets, the light weight, and because it just looks so good. turns out, i have other guitars that serve the same purpose, and this one just wasn't getting played enough. i just can't see leaving it in the case any more. mahogany body and neck in a slightly smaller body than the typical v. very lightweight. slim taper neck plays fast and smooth. gloss nitro finish top and satin body/neck. some small minor scuffs and surface scratches that are really hard to see (i tried to show what i thought was the worst case scenario and i had to get it in the right light – just a surface rub) and some gibson minor production finish imperfections (pore filler, etc.), but overall excellent, nothing through the finish that i could see.
